Regarding the exceptional strength of Herakles
I constantly see it claimed that Herakles owes his extraordinary strength to the fact that Hera breastfed him, but so far I have been unable to find a single source stating this. Here are a few that mention Hera unknowingly nursing Herakles (or other sons of Zeus), in no specific order:
Pseudo-Eratosthenes, Epitome 44: "It was not possible for sons of Zeus to have any share in the honours of the sky unless they had been suckled at Hera's breast; and that is why Hermes, so they say, brought Heracles along after his birth and placed him at Hera's breast, for him to be suckled at it; but when Hera became aware of it, she thrust him away, and the rest of her milk spilled out accordingly to make up the milky circle."
Pseudo-Hyginus, Astronomy 2.43: "There is also a circle in the heavens which is white in color, and which men have called the milky circle. Eratosthenes recounts in his Hermes that Hera unknowingly gave milk to the infant Hermes, but when she came to realize that he was Maia's son, she pushed him away; and that is why a bright trail of spilled milk can be seen among the stars. Others have said that Heracles was placed at Hera's breast while she was asleep, and she acted as has just been described when she woke up. Or according to other authors, Heracles was so greedy that he sucked in so much milk that he could not keep it in his mouth, and what spilled out from his mouth is shown in this circle."
Diodoros of Sicily, Library of History 4.9.6-7: "After Alcmenê had brought forth the babe, fearful of Hera’s jealousy she exposed it at a place which to this time is called after him the Field of Heracles. Now at this very time Athena, approaching the spot in the company of Hera and being amazed at the natural vigour of the child, persuaded Hera to offer it the breast. But when the boy tugged upon her breast with greater violence than would be expected at his age, Hera was unable to endure the pain and cast the babe from her, whereupon Athena took it to its mother and urged her to rear it And anyone may well be surprised at the unexpected turn of the affair; for the mother whose duty it was to love her own offspring was trying to destroy it, while she who cherished towards it a stepmother’s hatred, in ignorance saved the life of one who was her natural enemy."
Pausanias, Description of Greece 9.25.2: "There is shown a place where according to the Thebans Hera was deceived by Zeus into giving the breast to Heracles when he was a baby."
(Geoponika 11.19 -Concerning the Lily: "When Jupiter had Hercules by Alcmena, who was mortal, he wished to make him partaker of immortality; and he laid him to Juno's breast, when she was asleep, while he was in the state of infancy; and the infant being satisfied with milk, turned away from the breast, but the milk spewed copiously when the infant was removed-; and what was difused in the sky made what is called the milky-way; and what flowed on the earth and tinged its surface, produced the lily, which is like milk in respect of colour."
None of these suggest, let alone state outright, that Herakles got his strength from Hera. In the Dionysiaca Hera is forced to breastfed Dionysos, and the benefit he is said to get from this is not strength, but access to Olympos (and a cure ffrom madness?): "Do not fail your provoked husband; but go uncaught to the fertile slope of the woodland pastures of India, and offer your breast to Bacchos as once did my mother Rheia; let him draw with his lips older grown your holy drops, and by that draught lead him on the way to Olympos and make heaven lawful ground for the feet of earthborn Dionysos! Anoint with your milk the body of Lyaios, and cleanse the ugly stains of mind-robbing disease. And I offer you a worthy reward; for I will place in Olympos a circle, image of that flow named after Hera's milk, to honour the allfamous sap of your saviour breast."
The only explanation I've found for Herakles' strength is this, From Diodoros of Sicily's Library of History 4.9.2: "Consequently the sources of this descent, in their entirety, lead back, as is claimed, through both his parents to the greatest of the gods, in the manner we have shown. The prowess which was found in him was not only to be seen in his deeds, but was also recognized even before his birth. For when Zeus lay with Alcmenê he made the night three times its normal length and by the magnitude of the time expended on the procreation he presaged the exceptional might of the child which would be begotten."
So does anyone know of a source for this idea? Plz help, I'm feeling gaslit by the world!

Oh How the Heart Does Sing
The walk through the tower didn’t seem too bad to Silver. Although he was being carried by Malleus he was sure he could go up and down the stairs perfectly fine unlike Idia. “I can't go on…Legs have officially turned to jelly. No more…” SIlver slipped out of Malleus’s arms and patted Idia’s side. “It’s ok Idia you can do it.” Idia gave Silver a smile and patted his head.
Azul on the other hand had set Rollo down and untied him. “I thought you were turning me in? Why did you untie me?” Azul stretched himself before responding. “We're not able to carry you the whole way down. You can walk for yourself.” Malleus shook his head. “This would have gone much faster if we slid down the side of the tower.” Silver laughed at the suggestion Malleus had made. It was definitely entertaining to think about how that would go about.
Silver turned when he heard footsteps approaching and saw Sebek and the two other student council people that had helped everyone with their costumes. “MALLEUUUUS! SILVER!” Sebek yelled, running over to both of them. Silver felt himself surprisingly lifted up by Sebek and hugged. He let out some giggles before smiling as he looked at Sebek. “Hi Seb.” Sebek situated Silver on his side and looked at Malleus proudly. “Sebek you came to meet us?” Malleus asked, wondering why he had come. Sebek gave a proud nod.
“I had every faith you would vanquish the opposition! I merely wished to see that Rollo was apprehended properly by Azul and Idia!” Malleus seemed pleased by the answer and patted his shoulder. “Heh…I had faith in you as well Sebek. I knew my guardsman would prevail.” Sebek seemed to happily take the compliment. The Nobel Bell students that had entered had flocked around Rollo with worry. They started asking Rollo immediately what had happened but Malleus, Azul, and Idia started talking about Rollo having been the one to save all the students.
Silver was a bit surprised but didn’t say anything. Malleus sent the students off to find other students that had helped with the firelotuses as Malleus had said. When they were gone Rollo looked at Malleus confused. Have you taken pity on me? Am I so weak and pathetic to you? SPARE ME YOUR PITY!” India and Azul both seemed annoyed by Rollo’s behavior while he himself was still confused. “I thought you would have realized Malleus isn’t some sap”
Azul said. Rollo still didn’t understand. “Explain yourself.” Malleus gave a grin to Rollo. “I've come up with a fitting punishment for you. Will you confess to your misdeeds or continue to feign innocence? The final decision is yours to make.” Rollo responded with a laugh. “What a feeble punishment! All I have to do is keep quiet, and I get off scot-free!” Malleus gave Rollo a simple answer.
"That's acceptable to me. You'll be able to deceive others, of course, and even yourself. But you'll never deceive the Bell of Solace that's watched over you all this time.” Rollo raised a brow. “Indeed. You hold it in high esteem, do you not? And yet you sought to misuse it for your own ends. How you live with your deeds is up to you.” Rollo stayed silent so Malleus simply continued.
“You can come clean or hold your tongue. Either way, you'll regret it. No matter which choice you make, you will spend the rest of your days racked with the fires of remorse. There's no greater punishment I could inflict upon you, Flamme. Wouldn't you agree?” Rollo gave Malleus a glare. “…Touché. You villains are quite well-versed in tormenting others. Hmhm… Mmhmhm… Hahaha…” Malleus didn’t take mind to Rollo anymore and made sure the others were in agreement. Malleus looked at Silver. “I want to make sure you are also ok with this outcome, Silver. You were endangered most by what happened.”
Silver looked at Rollo who looked at him but didn’t do much else. He stuck his tongue out at Rollo and made a face but afterwards gave a nod. “Yeah I’m satisfied. Let him suffer!” Silver replied with a menacing smile on his face. Malleus and Sebek were both a bit surprised but his reaction got a laugh out of Idia. “Speaking of important things.Aren’t you forgetting something important?” Rollo turned his gaze to Azul. “What's that?” Azul shook his head.
“THE BALL. You know, the main event of the social? The ball's to be held on the second night. Which, if I might remind you, is tonight. It's been bad enough dealing with those firelotuses. If word got out that the Noble Bell student council president was behind them, the ball would be called off in a heartbeat. If you're going to confess, I ask that you save it for AFTER we've left.”
Malleus seemed pleased with Azul’s response “Agreed. Do as he asks, Flamme.” Rollo gave Malleus a look. “How self-centered can you people be…? Were you that excited for the social? Are you truly so eager to attend a ball?” Malleus' reply almost sounded like a growl when he responded. “YES.” Sebek himself yelled his own agreement at Rollo. “YOU HEARD MALLEUS! DO AS HE SAYS!” India wanted nothing to do with the ball. He expressed well that he didn’t want it to continue.
“…Fine. People will be amenable if I tell them you Night Raven students insisted on it. You saved the day, after all. The ball shall proceed as planned. I'll take responsibility for that, at least.” Malleus seemed relieved that Rollo had agreed. “Excellent. Now I can truly say that I've been invited.” Azul gave a sigh and looked at the others. “Indeed. Now, I suggest we all enjoy a well- deserved rest. We certainly look like we need it.” Malleus gave a laugh. “Heh heh… Yes, we do look rather scorched and sweaty. We must ready ourselves for the ball.”
Idia groaned in annoyance. “Oh nooo… This means we still have to do the thing…” The group egan walking again and everyone headed into their own rooms. Silver leaned against Sebek’s shoulder as they walked slowly, becoming more tired as the minutes passed. He was awoken by Malleus who was now in sleepwear with his hair slightly dripping after having showered no doubt. “Wake up Silver. You need to shower before you sleep.” Silver groaned in annoyance but listened and let Malleus carry him to the bathroom.
Twice Silver had almost fallen asleep but it wasn’t long before he was lying next to Malleus and sleeping against gripping onto his bat plush he had brought with him while Malleus had a protective arm over him. Malleus was simply looking through his phone at things that he and Silver could do if they ever came back to Fleur City. Sebek was in the other bed that was in the room. At first he had tried to fall asleep but decidedly looked at Malleus.
“Is Silver ok? I never go the chance to ask." Malleus stroked Silver's hair when the questions was asked as if seeing if there was any injury he missed but in the end gave Sebek a confident nod. "He was exposed to the firelotuses only twice as far as I am aware. His magic may be drained some and he may be resting well until it is time to leave for the ball but that is all." The second question Sebek asked was one Malleus did also expect "What was the reason Rollo kidnaped Silver?”
“The diary we found in the council room revealed that Rollo had a younger brother who died from his magic. I believe that he saw his brother in Silver and that is the reason he took Silver. Silver admitted also to Rollo calling him Russia which was the name of his late brother.” Sebek seemed baffled by what Malleus had said but didn’t have anything else to say and decided to sleep, finding the answer he received adequate. Malleus was only on his phone for a few more minutes before following in falling asleep.
///////////////
The next night every student was ready for the ball. Silver had been walking with Sebek to greet the other students of Night Raven that were ready for the Masquerade. They first saw Ruggie and Jamil before going to greet Riddle, Deuce, Rook, and Epel. Silver wasn’t sure if they exactly saw him while they were whispering to each other but sure did when Sebek walked over. Silver looked up at them mischievously. He put a finger over his mouth with his right hand though before rubbing his thumb, middle, and pointer together with his left portraying that they were now in debt to Silver if they wanted him to keep his silence.
That seemed more shocking to them then how Sebek tried to throw the two of them up in the air like children. Not long after Malleus arrived and Silver ran over to him hugging him happily. Everyone was excited for the ball besides Idia who seemed ready to return back to his room as soon as possible even though he had just arrived. “Actually, uh, I think I'm good… I've said my hellos, so I'm just gonna head back to my room now…” Sebek was quick to grab Idia’s arm. “WAIT, HUMAN! Malleus told me of your deeds. You thwarted Rollo with superior logic and soundly chastised him, yes? You may be a twisted, irksome human, but I suppose even a broken clock is right twice a day!”
Idia rolled his eyes and let out an irritated sigh. “Way to start with a compliment before going straight for the dunk… Look, I don't need this. Just leave me alone.” Sebek shook his head no. “I am not so rude as to ignore those deserving of proper credit.” Silver agreed with Sebek and hugged Idia. “Yeah. Modesty is a virtue and all, but you can take it too far. You deserve to celebrate your accomplishments.” Ruggie chuckled.
“Ooh, sounds like this calls for an air toss, huh?” What he said seemed to have lit something within Sebek to agree. “Tossing me into the air?! On another school's Main Street?! Nope, the hardest possible nope!” Silver laughed happily. “Let's do it, Sebek. I’ll get his legs” Silver replied, his grip tightening in Idia’s legs.
“NOOO!” India tried to carefully escape and almost fell back if it wasn’t for Malleus holding his shoulders to keep him standing. “The aerial toss can wait. Let us head for the ball before Trein wakes up. A teacher would be loath to condone holding a ball directly after a major incident. But Trein values etiquette. He wouldn't interrupt everyone's fun once the ball was underway.” Silver gave a disappointed sigh but let go of Idia and went to stand next to Malleus. Che’nya and Neige were soon to arrive and greet them. Silver hadn’t met them much but they both seemed cool.
The two Royal Sword students managed though to talk to the group when the others talked about how they were unsure if the ball would happen. Both Neige and Che’nya gave the surprising news that Rollo had been working alone to clean up for the ball. “Rollo fixed up the whole venue by himself? Nobody asked him to do that.Geez, why'd he go and do a thing like that…” Idia spoke no doubt confused. Malleus seemed to have the same question.
“Why would he take such toil upon himself? Is it his idea of atonement?” Azul on the other hand seemed to have a reasonable answer to their questions. “Who can say? It's possible he just didn't want to accept help from mages… But also, after that battle, I imagine just walking would be a feat for him. And he cares quite a bit about appearances.” After he had spoken the Bell of Solace rang. Malleus smiled excitedly. “Ah… There's the nighttime bell. It's time for the ball to begin. Let us head to the venue.”
///////////////
Inside the venue was packed with people. Many were amazed and nervous that Malleus was simply at the ball to begin with. Rollo welcomed Malleus to speak to the students. “It gladdens my heart to see us all gathered together this eve. Some among you may be speculating about who I am…But right now, we are all equals at this masquerade ball—we're ‘promising young mages.’ I ask that you treat me as simply another mage. I wish to express my gratitude at being invited to this delightful gathering…So I've prepared a gift for you all.” Whispers began to go around the room about what Malleus had meant when he said he had a gift to give all the students there.
Soon after he did, the students of Night Raven began their dance. Silver was excited that he had been included in it and danced around with other students of Night Raven college with a wide smile on his face. The dance truly was amazing and all the students seemed to believe so as well. The rest of the night was also wonderful. Silver got to dance with Malleus and some others as well. His shyness to sometimes ask someone to dance seemed to make some awe and it was as if no one could refuse him.
Silver didn’t exactly want to dance with Rollo like Malleus had wanted to but he did indeed wish to talk to him. Rollo seemed a bit astonished that Silver had come over to him. “I would have expected you to be dancing with the others.” Silver shook his head and looked at Rollo. “I just wanted to come talk with you.” Rollo kept his eyes on the students who were dancing but did reply. “Why would you have interest in talking to me?”
“Because I wanted to tell you I forgave you.”
Rollo made a noise that sounded like he almost choked on air. “Why would you wish to tell me that?” His attention was now on Silver. “Because it’s the right thing to do. I know I’m not your brother but I thought it was sad you saw me as him. He must have been a kind person if you did.” There was silence for a minute but Silver could swear he heard a sniffle. “He was…” Silver looked up at Rollo and saw him hiding his face behind his handkerchief but the tear that rolled down his cheeks couldn’t be hidden. Silver gave Rollo a quick hug before heading off to dance again.
///////////////
The next morning every one was preparing for the trip back to Night Raven College. While preparing Silver had found the glass mobil he had been looking at in the town square the next day addressed to him. The sender had not left any trace of who they were but Silver was sure he knew who it was and whispered a "thanks" to Rollo when seeing him by chance in the dining hall. He was excited to put it in his dorm room later. After everyone was ready it was a relieving one. Everyone was excited to return and others who had stayed back for their return. Lilia met Silver, Malleus, and Sebek outside of Night Raven and helped them carry their bags into the school and to their room. Malleus and Sebek seemed to want to rest and told Lilia a bit about their trip leaving out the flowers. Lilia looked to Silver for answers next after he was given his gift that Silver had gotten from Fleur City for him. “So tell me Silver. What was the most exciting thing that happened while you were at school?” Silver gave Lilia a bright smile and replied with a cheery voice
“I got kidnapped!”

Advances in modern medicine have regularly allowed people to “come back from the dead,” as it were, and many who do report extraordinary visions and experiences from their trip to the other side. A Dutch study of 344 people who survived cardiac arrest found that between 12 and 18 percent had deep and affecting experiences on the threshold of life: meeting dead loved ones, being ushered through a tunnel of light, existing outside of their bodies, and being filled with love and bliss. The life review is one of the most powerful and comforting of these visions. It is characterized by the conviction that you have sweeping knowledge of all things and can simultaneously reexperience your entire life. “When my expansion was over, I was everywhere, I was everything at the same time,” one woman recalled. “I was the sky, I was the ground, I was the trees, and I felt the wind blowing in my leaves, I was the sea and I was also my parents, my friends, people I had not met before but who, at that point, I knew because they were part of me.”
A former wildland firefighter named Ken Senn told me that he suffered an abdominal hemorrhage while hunting with his son in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. His son, Caleb, had already dislocated his shoulder trying to help his father over rough ground, so the two men were forced to spend the night by a fire in subfreezing temperatures hoping rescuers would find them before they died. Ken was semi-functional from blood loss and Caleb was deep in shock from an unreduced shoulder. At dawn, Caleb set out to try to make it to a road. “After Caleb left, I was at peace because I knew he was going to be okay,” Senn said. “But I knew I was dying. And that was when the mountains started to move, started to ripple. And I realized that the entire world was alive, everything was alive. And I saw all these animals below me and they were all dying, and I knew I was going to die too, one day, but we were all linked. And I felt at peace because I knew my body belonged to the earth. The Angel of Death was whispering in my ear.”
The similarity with many religious experiences is striking. Renowned yogi Paramahansa Yogananda describes the moment of his enlightenment as a young student in India: “Soul and mind instantly lost their physical bondage and streamed out like a fluid… the flesh was as though dead; yet in my intense awareness I knew that never before had I been fully alive. My sense of identity was no longer narrowly confined to a body but embraced the circumambient atoms. People on distant streets seemed to be moving gently over my own remote periphery. The roots of plants and trees appeared through a dim transparency of the soil; I could discern the inward flow of their sap… A swelling glory within me began to envelop towns, continents, the earth, solar and stellar systems, tenuous nebulae, and floating universes.”

Get to You (Polnareff x Reader) Chapter Two
You're a bright eyed and ambitious Anthropology student, just setting off for the international vacation of your dreams. Just days into your trip, however, you encounter a devious and charming man who would set into motion a string of events that would change your life forever, for better or for worse ♡ word count - 2.6k ♡ warnings - some brief mentions of previous trauma/emotional abuse/manipulation/cheating ♡ notes - this is crossposted on ao3 under the same username as here. there are currently eight chapters written and posted over there so i'll be working on posting them here as well. this fic follows the events of stardust crusaders with some changes obviously. enjoy!!!
You sat alone at a small table in a near-empty restaurant, pretending to look over the menu while you peered at a group of men a few feet away. You studied them closely, watching their enthusiastic and sometimes tense conversation.
That morning, you touched down in Calcutta, India. A wild, bustling city filled with people and teetering into chaos. Although the city was overwhelming, you were on a mission, and you weren’t going to let anything distract you.
Just the day before, you were exploring Egypt, on your own personal vacation. While India was on your itinerary, you had no idea you’d end up there so quickly.
Just a few days prior, you had encountered a dark, mysterious man named Dio, quickly finding yourself entangled with him, and now, the men who were attempting to take him out.
You closed your menu, which you never bothered to really look at, and made your way over to the round table tucked in the corner of the restaurant.
You slid into the single empty chair, next to an older man, Joseph Joestar. You smiled sweetly at them.
”Hi there gentlemen, I’m so sorry to bother you but, I’m new in this country and I’m really struggling to make out the menu.” You let out a high pitched giggle and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “Would any of you be so kind as to help me?” You turned to Joseph, and fluttered your eyelashes.
”Good grief, who just invites themselves to someone else’s meal? Ask a waiter if you’re that desperate.” Grumbled the teen across from you, arms crossed and giving you a death glare as he peered out from the shade of his hat.
“Easy Jotaro, she just needs help reading the menu.” Piped up Joseph. He then lowered his voice and leaned into the man next to him, Muhammad Avdol, and whispered something you couldn’t quite make out
“I apologize for his behavior, madame.” Interjected the white haired man across from you, leaning forward and opening a menu for you. “I would be delighted to help you select something from this fine menu. What are you in the mood for?” His tone was so enthusiastic. You could practically see hearts in his eyes when you met his gaze.
You tapped your chin, as if completely lost as to what you could possibly want to eat. “I think I want something a little… Spicy…” You looked up and locked eyes with Jotaro, unable to help the smirk that spread across your face.
Joseph quickly chimed in, holding his menu open and pointing to a dish. “Here’s something you might like to try, it’s got a little kick but it’s not too foreign tasting!” He smiled at you, and you returned the expression. You let out a little giggle, and stood up from your seat.
“I have to say, you gentlemen have been so kind to me, I might even feel a little bad about what I have to do now.” You stated, keeping the sickly sweet tone of your voice. Before the men had time to react, Vampire Money materialized beside you, sending out webs to wrap around all five of them. You watched as they tried to fight, materializing their own stands before quickly disappearing as Vampire Money’s webs sapped their energy.
You were about to get cocky, when you realized Jotaro was able to dodge your attack, appearing in front of you with Star Platinum beside him. Before you could release another web, a barrage of fists came raining down on Vampire Money, forcing you to retract her webs from the others. Even though she wasn’t able to drain them completely, she’d sucked enough power that they’d be out of commission for at least a few minutes.
You struggled to fight back against Star Platinum's blows, his immense speed and precision making it near impossible to dodge, much less land a hit of your own. Fighting to keep on your feet, you released a thin web, snaking across the floor in Jotaro’s direction. You were getting weaker, and slower, watching the web slither towards the young man, praying that it would make it there. As it reached the tip of his shoe, the relentless “ORA’s” came to a sudden stop.
In one swift move, Star Platinum threw his final punch, square on the web that was inches from his foot. The web snapped in half, causing you to let out an agonized scream as white hot pain shot throughout your body.
As you felt your consciousness slip away, you heard muffled voices. Something about flesh, and forehead, and Dio.
-
You stirred, feeling hard concrete on your back, and heard faint voices seeping into your consciousness. As your brain adjusted to being awake, you were just barely able to tug your eyelids open. As the light poured in, you saw several strangely familiar faces standing over you.
As you awoke from your dreamy state, sharp pains coursed through your body, and your head throbbed. You attempted to push yourself up on your elbows, wincing as the pain shot through you.
When the blurriness finally cleared from your vision, you met eyes with an older man, who you faintly recalled was named Joseph Joestar, who stood over you. “Look! She’s finally awake!” He reached out a hand, and you hesitantly took it as he helped you to your feet. You let go and held a hand on your forehead, the pressure pounding as you shifted from sitting to standing.
“Where am I?” You croaked out, turning your head to get a view of your surroundings. You were in an alleyway, behind a restaurant. You turned to look back at the men crowding around you.
“You’re in Calcutta, outside the Mint Leaf restaurant. You took quite the beating from Jotaro here, I’m surprised you’re up so quick!” He chuckled.
“She’s clearly a strong fighter, I doubt she would’ve stayed down for long.” Chimed another man, Muhammad Avdol. You tried to recall your memories from before you passed out. You faintly remembered the fight between Star Platinum and Vampire Money, where you were subdued embarrassingly quickly. You remembered your first encounter with Dio, when you signed away your life.
You started to feel uneasy. Just this morning, you would’ve thrown yourself off a cliff if Dio had even hinted that he wanted you to. But now, you were filled with white hot rage as you thought about the charming blonde man.
Before you could get too deep in thought, Joseph piped up once more. “You can say that again! How are you feeling now?” Although you should’ve been terrified in the presence of five burly men who were essentially strangers - you felt strangely calm with them nearby, particularly with the weirdly nurturing presence of the old man.
“I feel… Like shit.” You stated plainly, rubbing your temples and sighing. “What happened while I was out?” You questioned, and Joseph smiled.
”Well, after Jotaro knocked you down, we were ready to take you out or leave you for dead, but Avdol here noticed the flesh bud in your brain.” He motioned towards your head, and you brushed a finger against your hairline, feeling a small mark. “Thankfully, Jotaro was able to remove it, so no hard feelings about earlier.” You couldn’t help but let out a nervous laugh.
“What exactly is a flesh bud?” You continued, feeling a whirlwind of emotions building inside of you.
“A flesh bud is a clump of Dio’s own cells that he implants in the brain of his victims, giving him full control over them.” Explained Avdol. You rubbed your eyes, unsure of how to respond or proceed from here.
“I um… I’m really not sure what to say. I don’t know how I got wrapped up in all of this. I’m sorry for attacking you - I don’t know what I was doing. I’m not-“ You cut yourself off and took a deep breath. “I’m just a student, I don't have anything to do with any of this. If it’s okay, I’d like to go back to my hotel and… move on.” You looked down and brushed a few specks of dirt off your dress, feeling nervous about whatever response you were about to get.
“Madame, allow me to escort you back to your quarters.” A flash of white appeared from behind the other men, scooping up your hand and placing a kiss on the back. You had a brief flashback to that late night when you were lost in Egypt. “A delicate flower such as yourself should never have been planted in this foul alleyway.” You shot the man a confused look, but mustered a polite smile.
”Where are you staying? If it’s nearby, we’ll drop you off on the way to our next stop.” Interjected Joseph, before the Frenchman could continue his advances. “Don’t worry about him,” He nodded towards Polnareff. “He tends to think with the wrong head.”
Jotaro finally piped up, though not to your benefit. “No way. She could still be loyal to Dio. We’re not taking any chances.”
“Not a chance.” You spat. “I have nothing but hatred for that man.” Your head began throbbing again as you recalled the promises the mysterious man made to you. You clenched your fist.
“Calm down Jotaro, we removed the flesh bud. If we’re going by that logic Kakyoin and Polnareff would’ve never come along in the first place. Giving her a ride is the least we can do after you pummeled her.” Argued Joseph.
“Well madame, I would be honored to be your chariot.” Polnareff inched closer to you, and you swore you could see those cartoonish hearts beating out of his eyes. You mustered a smile and an awkward chuckle.
After a little more pushback from Jotaro, you were finally allowed into the taxi with the rest of the group.
You climbed into the front seat while the men piled in the back, and gave the driver the address of your hotel. Although it wasn’t a long ride, it gave you plenty of time to think, although with numerous interruptions from the Frenchman sitting behind you, all too eager to engage you in conversation.
You heard the murmurings of the other men, quietly discussing their journey so far, where they were headed next, Dio, enemy stands, etc. Things were happening so quickly, it felt like you were in a dream, or a movie, somewhere far outside of your reality.
You’d been different since the very first moment you could remember. It haunted you throughout your whole life. Countless nights spent with only Vampire Money there to keep you company. Numerous times feeling like you would never be normal, feeling like maybe you really were crazy.
The more you thought, the more you started to rationalize. You had an imaginary friend with superpowers. Not only that, you had come to find out there were several other people who had the same type of companion.
Was it really so far fetched to believe an evil mastermind vampire would seek you out to do his bidding? I mean really, given your track record it seemed surprisingly on brand.
You thought about Dio. About all the empty promises. About how he exploited your weaknesses to manipulate you. How hopeful you felt just hours ago. Your heart began to ache.
The more you thought, the angrier you got.
The taxi rounded a corner, and you watched the familiar architecture of your hotel come into view, although it looked different as the sun dipped behind the horizon and the sky grew darker.
The vehicle slowed to a stop, and you gathered your things. You turned around in your seat to face the men. “Thank you all for all of your help today, I’m not sure what would’ve happened to me if that flesh bud was still in my brain. I apologize for attacking you all. Good luck on your journey, I hope you succeed.”
“It’s no problem, you stay safe out there.” Joseph gave you a friendly nod, and you smiled.
“Oh mon amour, it’s such sweet sorrow to see you go.” Polnareff grabbed for your hand, stroking it gently. You looked on in disbelief. “I can only hope that fate brings us together once more. Please, don’t forget me.” A nervous laugh climbed it’s way up your throat, and simply nodded at the man.
The other men said their respective goodbyes, and you climbed out of the car.
You took a few steps forward, before coming to a sudden stop.
Thoughts swirled in your mind. You knew there was plenty of information you were missing, but the more you considered just leaving this whole experience behind and moving on, the more you started to realize that wouldn’t be possible.
Dio had made you feel hopeful for the first time in a long time. Sure, maybe it was the mind control, but somewhere in your heart you were really, truly ready to believe it was real.
You knew something in the world had shifted, that overwhelming feeling you got on your very first night in Egypt. Maybe that’s what made you feel so hopeful.
But now, you were just furious. Knowing that encounter was a fluke, like every other one. That you were simply being used as a tool. You clenched your fist involuntarily, and spun around back towards the taxi.
You boldly knocked on the window, body moving of its own volition before your brain could tell it to stop. Joseph's face appeared as the window rolled down.
“I’m sorry, but please, let me come with you. I feel sick thinking about what Dio’s done, and what he will do, and knowing I could maybe, just maybe help to stop it. I know that I can be useful to you all, please just let me come with you and try.” You pleaded, and before Joseph could get a word in, Jotaro piped up from the back seat.
“Hell no. We don’t need some bitch slowing us down.” He stated coldly.
”I would be delighted if you came with us.” Chimed in Polnareff, leaning over Joseph to get closer to you. “It would be a great honor to be your knight in shining armor on this perilous journey ahead.” Although you forced a smiled, you could already feel yourself growing tired of the Frenchman’s relentless moves on you.
“She’s clearly a skilled fighter,” Interjected the red haired young man, Kakyoin, from the back seat. “She could be a valuable ally to have.”
”Why don’t you give us a few minutes to talk about this?” Said Joseph, rolling up the window again and leaving you standing awkwardly, waiting for a response.
Although it was muffled, you heard things getting slightly heated from inside the car. You toyed with the hem of your dress nervously, the adrenaline from your split-second decision long since worn off as you started to really consider what you’d just done.
As you were beginning to reconsider everything, you heard the window roll down again. Jotaro was leaning forward from the back row, arm on Joseph's seat. ”We’ll let you come with us, but if you slow us down or put any of us in danger, you’re out. No argument.” Jotaro spoke firmly, and you nodded, sputtering out a thank you.
Polnareff nearly squealed from excitement. “Oh mon Cher, I’m so excited that you’ll be joining us. Jotaro, you move to the front seat so (Y/N) and I can sit together. Mr. Joestar, you can sit in the back with Avdol and Kakyoin.” He ordered, and although you protested, the decision was ultimately made that you would sit in the middle row with the white haired man.
Climbing back into the taxi, you thought this had to be it. That strange shift in the universe.

Hiring an Ecommerce Agency: The Complete Guide
“Great web design without functionality is like a sports car with no engine.” – Paul Cookson
When it comes to launching or upgrading your ecommerce presence, the stakes are high and the opportunities boundless. In a digital ecosystem brimming with potential, a proficient ecommerce agency is your navigator, engineer, and co-pilot all in one. But not all agencies are created equal. This guide will walk you through the essential points to consider when hiring an ecommerce agency, ensuring your business gears up for success in the virtual marketplace.
Identifying Your Ecommerce Needs
Before you even begin the hunt for an ecommerce agency, it’s crucial to have a clear understanding of your needs. Are you looking for an impressive Shopify Plus store development? Or perhaps, your needs are more tailored towards intricate UI/UX design for your ecommerce store. Custom application development, integrations with ERP/SAP systems, syncing with an offline store, or other bespoke customizations might be on your checklist. Knowing your exact requirements will streamline the hiring process and lead to more productive conversations with potential agencies.
Experience Matters
Look for a partner with a proven track record. An experienced ecommerce agency brings to the table years of know-how, a portfolio of diverse clients, and the capability to handle the complexity of your project. Being a Shopify Plus partner, for instance, is a significant indicator of an agency’s expertise in delivering top-tier ecommerce solutions. The right agency should have not only the knowledge but also the seasoned skills to elevate your online store.
The Art of Customization
The digital landscape is not one-size-fits-all. Your chosen agency should excel in custom application development and integrations. The ability to tailor your ecommerce store to seamlessly connect with ERP systems or synchronize with your brick-and-mortar outlets can give you a competitive edge.
If your goal is to ensure your digital platform operates in harmony with your physical outlets, reach out to us. Our proficiency in custom integrations stands as a testament to our commitment to your business growth.

Hello, uhm whats the myth about Hera breastfeeding dionysus
It appears in the Dionysiaca of Nonnos, Book 35. Putting it under a read more because it is long and grosses me out.
For context: Hera had convinced Persephone to lend her one of the Furies, who drives Dionysos mad as he is fighting against the Indians. Meanwhile Nonnos reworks the part from Book 14 of the Iliad where Hera gets Aphrodite's girdle in order to distract Zeus by inducing him to have sex with her, and secures the assistance of Hypnos for the purpose of putting Zeus to sleep.
"" But how kind you would be to your Cronion, if you will only drive that distracting madness from tormented Dionysos! Do not fail your provoked husband; but go uncaught to the fertile slope of the woodland pastures of India, and offer your breast to Bacchos as once did my mother Rheia; let him draw with his lips older grown your holy drops, and by that draught lead him on the way to Olympos and make heaven lawful ground for the feet of earthborn Dionysos! Anoint with your milk the body of Lyaios, and cleanse the ugly stains of mind-robbing disease. And I offer you a worthy reward; for I will place in Olympos a circle, image of that flow named after Hera's milk, to honour the allfamous sap of your saviour breast. Only I pray you beware of the menace of Zeus, and stretch again no other net of deceit for Dionysos his beloved son."" So saying, he dismissed his resentful consort Hera, to heal the trouble of Bacchos against her will, to be gracious and friendly towards afflicted Dionysos, that her hands might salve the body of Bromios with the milky dew from her godnursing breasts.
Zeus awoke on the peaks of Caucasus and threw off the wing of sleep. He understood the beguiling trick of Hera the mischiefmaker when he saw the Seilenoi in flight, when he saw the Bacchant women hurrying in herds from the threeways and the walls, and behind them the Indian chieftain Deriades, cutting down Satyrs and mowing down women; he saw his own son lying upon the ground, and the nymphs all round him in a ring, but he lay in the whirling dust heavy-headed, half-fainting, breathing hard, sputtering white foam to witness his frenzy. Then Zeus disclosed Hera's mischievous contrivance, and reproached his deceitful consort with stinging words. And now indeed he would have imprisoned Sleep in the darksome pit of gloom to dwell along with murky Iapetos,"" but for the prayers of Night the vanquisher of gods and men. So Zeus calmed his savage resentment with difficulty, and cried out to Hera:
"" Have you not yet been cruel enough to my Semele, invincible Hera? Must you still be bitter against her though dead? So even the bridal flame itself could not assuage your unending rancour, when it scattered abroad the bed of Thyone struck by Zeus! How long will you oppress Dionysos the Indianslayer? Do not forget those stones of long ago! I have them still, I have them ready for use — the ones I tied fast on to your feet: there you dangled in the sky and the clouds high above the earth, and suffered tortures! Bold Ares saw you tied up and wrapt in clouds high above the earth, but he could not help his mother. Fiery Hephaistos could not help, for he cannot stand one spark of blazing thunderbolt. I will tie up your hands again in that same old golden chain. Ares I will fasten with galling fetters unbreakable to whirl upon a selfrolling wheel, to run with him, like a Tantalos travelling the skies or a banished Ixion. I will flog him all over with stripes incurable until my son shall conquer the sons of India.
Hera did not disobey. She anointed the body of Lyaios with the divine drops of her painhealing teat, and wiped away the stains of the wild divine frenzy. When she saw the manhood and radiance of Dionysos and touched mad Bacchos with grudging hands, she felt a double jealousy although her face hid it. She opened her dress on both sides for his lips, and bared her teats full of ambrosia, pressing the jealous breast to let the milk flow, and brought him back to life. With her great eyes she measured all the youthful strength of longhaired Lyaios, wondering if ever mortal mother brought forth such a shape, if shakespear Ares was so tall as this, if Hermes, if Phaethon was such, or sweetvoiced Apollo; and she wished him in heaven as Hebe's bridegroom, had not Zeus our Lord on High ordained that in days to come twelvelabour Heracles was fated to be her husband.
She then, after healing the madness of Bacchos, returned again to the company of the stars on high, that she might not see the weaponless army of Dionysos fighting with fennel and bundles of vine, and killing warriors with a little manbreaking thyrsus.

For the vegans out there who still have doubts about honey, maple syrup is a much better option than agave.
Maple trees are very good at handling the harvesting of syrup. A harvester has to be incompetent to hurt the tree in the process. Commercially available maple syrup is tapped by professionals who know what they are doing. Farmers/foragers are invested in keeping their trees in good condition so they can yield syrup for many years.
Even Jains view maple syrup as a safe food to eat. For those unfamiliar, Jainism is a pacifist religion from India that has been practiced for at least 2500 years. Vegetarianism is a core part of the religion, and Jains do not eat plants who would be killed by harvesting. So no garlic or onions because harvesting them means killing the plant. (If you've ever noticed "no onions or garlic" labels on foods at veg*n food stores this is why!)
Environmentally speaking, maple syrup is a solid option. There's a bit of GHG production from heating up the sap to make the syrup, but demand for maple syrup also tends to mean more (maple) trees get planted on what would otherwise be farmland as well as protection of existing natural forests that contain tappable maples.
Vegans of tumblr, listen up. Harvesting agave in the quantities required so you dont have to eat honey is killing mexican long-nosed bats. They feed off the nectar and pollinate the plants. They need the agave. You want to help the environment? Go back to honey. Your liver and thyroid will thank you, as well. Agave is 90% fructose, which can cause a host of issues. Bye.

5 Must-Know Tips Before Enrolling in the Best SAP FICO Training Institutes in Bangalore
If you’re planning to kickstart a rewarding career in the world of SAP, enrolling in one of the best SAP FICO training institutes in Bangalore is a smart move. SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) is one of the most in-demand modules in the SAP ecosystem, especially for those aiming for careers in finance, accounting, and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Bangalore, often referred to as India’s Silicon Valley, has become a hotspot for IT training and professional development. The city hosts numerous SAP training centers, but knowing which one to choose — and what to consider before enrolling — can make all the difference in your learning journey.
In this blog, we’ll guide you through five essential tips you should keep in mind before enrolling in any SAP FICO training institute in Bangalore, with a focus on how PMSAP Technologies stands out as a trusted training partner.
1. Understand Your Career Goals and Choose the Right SAP Module
Before diving into training, take a step back and understand what you really want out of your SAP journey. Are you from a finance background and looking to upskill? Or are you switching careers from another domain?
The SAP ecosystem offers several modules, but FICO is ideal if your interest lies in financial accounting, reporting, and internal cost tracking. However, if you're aiming for a broader ERP scope, consider modules like:
SAP S/4HANA MM (Materials Management) for procurement and inventory functions
SAP S/4HANA SD (Sales and Distribution) for managing sales processes and customer distribution
At PMSAP Technologies, you’ll find comprehensive courses across SAP FICO, SAP S/4HANA MM, and SAP S/4HANA SD, designed for different career paths. Their counselors help you identify the module that aligns best with your background and goals — making it easier to choose the right learning track from day one.
2. Check the Institute’s Credibility and Trainer Expertise
SAP training is a significant investment — both financially and in terms of time. That’s why it’s essential to verify the institute’s credibility and the qualifications of its trainers.
Look for:
Certified trainers with real-time industry experience
Hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
Ability to simplify complex concepts with case studies
At PMSAP Technologies, trainers are not just certified but also have years of hands-on experience working with global SAP implementations. Their training is focused on practical learning, where you don’t just memorize functions — you understand how SAP works in real business scenarios.
This level of trainer quality ensures that you’re not only ready for certification exams but also equipped to face real-world SAP challenges in any organization.
3. Ensure Real-Time Project Exposure and Practical Labs
One of the most common complaints learners have after completing an SAP course is a lack of confidence when it comes to real-time applications. This often happens because many training institutes focus only on theoretical knowledge.
The best SAP training includes:
Live project experience
Access to SAP S/4HANA live servers
Real-world scenarios for FICO, MM, and SD modules
Problem-solving exercises similar to what you’d face on the job
PMSAP Technologies provides extensive hands-on practice, where students get access to SAP’s live system environments for S/4HANA. Whether it’s configuring a chart of accounts in FICO, managing material data in MM, or processing sales orders in SD — you learn by doing.
This practical exposure is a game-changer for learners who want to stand out in job interviews and hit the ground running in their SAP careers.
4. Ask About Certification Preparation and Job Support
Getting trained is one thing. But clearing certification exams and landing a job are the real goals for most learners. That’s why the institute you choose should offer complete support — not just classroom training.
Here’s what you should look for:
SAP Global Certification exam preparation
Mock tests and interview preparation
Resume building and LinkedIn optimization
Placement assistance with real job leads
PMSAP Technologies goes beyond basic training. They offer dedicated support for SAP certification exams, along with career guidance and job interview training. From crafting your first SAP-specific resume to helping you prepare for interviews with mock Q&A sessions, their support team stays with you until you succeed.
And with strong industry connections, PMSAP also brings placement opportunities to your doorstep — a crucial feature that many other institutes lack.
5. Evaluate Course Structure, Flexibility, and Reviews
Finally, consider how the course is structured. Everyone has different learning needs. Some prefer weekend batches, while others go for fast-track or online options. The best institutes offer flexibility without compromising quality.
Here’s what to check:
Batch options: weekday/weekend, online/offline
Recorded sessions for revision
Structured syllabus aligned with SAP certification
Reviews and testimonials from past students
PMSAP Technologies offers both online and classroom training in Bangalore with flexible schedules, making it easy for both working professionals and full-time students to manage. They also provide access to recorded sessions, so you never miss a class.
What sets them apart further is their transparent feedback system. You can find genuine reviews from past students who have successfully transitioned into SAP careers after training at PMSAP. These reviews are a testament to their commitment to quality and learner success.
Why Choose PMSAP Technologies?
If you’re serious about building a career in SAP — whether it’s in FICO, S/4HANA MM, or S/4HANA SD — PMSAP Technologies checks all the boxes. Here’s a quick summary of why they stand out:
✅ Expert Trainers with real-time project experience ✅ Live SAP System Access with hands-on labs ✅ Flexible Course Options: online, offline, weekday, and weekend batches ✅ Job Support including resume help, mock interviews, and placements ✅ Certification Preparation for SAP Global Exams ✅ High Student Satisfaction with 5-star reviews across platforms

Final Thoughts
Choosing an SAP institute is not just about proximity or price. It’s about finding the right environment that nurtures your growth, helps you understand SAP in a real-world context, and prepares you for both exams and employment.
Keep these five tips in mind:
Know your career path and module choice
Verify the trainer and institute credibility
Look for real-time hands-on training
Ensure certification and placement support
Evaluate flexibility, structure, and reviews
With a reliable partner like PMSAP Technologies, you’re not just enrolling in a course — you’re investing in a brighter future.
Whether you're interested in SAP FICO, SAP S/4HANA MM, or SAP S/4HANA SD, PMSAP offers comprehensive, flexible, and career-focused training that puts you on the path to success.
