And I got this idea for a Lili! Neglected reader while playing the dark resurrection game and how Lili is just this badass Compeating to save her father's business ^^;;
"Please don't tell my father!"

Bruce and your mother's marriage was not based on love but rather a financial arrangement. She desired Wayne's wealth, and she obtained it. She ensured a biological child with him, even if their divorce was inevitable. Your mother would still retain his riches. Without lifting a finger, which meant you were more of a tool to gain wealth than actually be a daughter.
When your mother was through and had gotten what she wanted, she left you in your father's hands—the cruelest thing the woman ever did to you. Living in the manor was a nightmare. You had thought you were an only child, but life spat in your face and gave you "brothers." Rude, obnoxious, mean, angry, rage-filled, obsessed little creatures with a taste for violence; you found it vile how they would fight like brutes in front of the dinner table, making you almost drop your plate of decadent food Alfred had prepared for you. How beastly you think, watching them fight on TV in ridiculous costumes, fighting crime, and causing public property damage. They barely even had manners at galas or block events. So what if they acted like they wanted nothing to do with you? You wanted nothing to do with them.
"She’s so stuck up."
"She acts like such a princess."
"She walks like she has a stick up her ass."
You didn't care what your siblings said, wiping your long blonde hair in their faces. You were a sophisticated young girl, and that’s what you were raised to be: a good morning routine, daily workouts, piano lessons, and ballet on weekends. You were far from a ruffian; you were a lady and deserved to be treated as such. You didn't care how much Steph hated your prissy attitude or how Cass thought you were weak, how Jason thought you were a spoiled brat, or how Dick and Duke believed you had never been through a day of hardship in your life.
Tim and Damian never agreed, but one thing they could agree on was that all you were was a pretty rich girl, and you never tried to make them think you weren’t. Sure, there was more to you than meets the eye; Alfred knew that, but your brothers could never see it. When your father—the man you had been trying to impress for years with your good behavior, good grades, and overall good everything—wouldn't even spare you a passing glance, your whole world crumbled. He never loved your mother, and you knew better than that, but why couldn’t he love you? All he did was throw his ultimatum black card at you and say, "Not now, [Name]."
He thought you were like your petty mother, that you only cared about inheriting the Wayne fortune, nothing more. So, he kept you occupied with pretty dresses, nice shoes, and fancy ballet slippers. He couldn’t be serious, but the only way your father knew how to communicate was through violence—pure, unadulterated violence. Sitting in spare with Jason, you realized what language your family spoke; even Barbara had spoken it once or twice. It was violence, so you decided to speak their language—this unspoken language of fighting.
Holy shit, was it not fun! No wonder you saw the smile on Cass's face when she fought Duke in a match; it was pure fun watching your opponent fall and grovel underneath you, knowing you had the upper hand in a fight. Knowing you were better was pure bliss. But you must remember to fix your makeup after every match; a lady like you must never mess up her nails. And every time you win, you laugh like a mad woman, but you'll never tell your father that you're a fighter because you're his delicate little girl who's scared of dogs that bark too loudly.

✊ Protest Smart, Protest Safe
(Because a movement is only as strong as its people.)
Protesting is a powerful tool—but preparation is everything. Know how to protect yourself and your fellow misfits.
🛠️ Before You Go:
🔸 Know your rights – The law isn’t always on our side, but knowing it gives you an edge. 🔸 Dress for safety – Cover tattoos, wear neutral clothing, and avoid anything that can be grabbed. 🔸 Bring essentials – Water, snacks, a first-aid kit, ID (or not, if that’s safer), and emergency contacts written down. 🔸 Use encrypted communication – Signal over SMS. Turn off face/fingerprint unlock on your phone.
🚨 In the Moment:
⚡ Stay aware – Know exit routes, look out for agitators, and stick with a buddy. ⚡ If confronted by police – Stay calm, record everything, and ask, “Am I being detained?” ⚡ If tear gas is deployed – Don’t rub your eyes. Use a bandana soaked in water or vinegar to protect your breathing. ⚡ Never protest alone – The system isolates to control. Move together, watch each other’s backs.

Updated Personal Infosec Post
Been awhile since I've had one of these posts part deus: but I figure with all that's going on in the world it's time to make another one and get some stuff out there for people. A lot of the information I'm going to go over you can find here:
https://www.privacyguides.org/en/tools/
So if you'd like to just click the link and ignore the rest of the post that's fine, I strongly recommend checking out the Privacy Guides. Browsers: There's a number to go with but for this post going forward I'm going to recommend Firefox. I know that the Privacy Guides lists Brave and Safari as possible options but Brave is Chrome based now and Safari has ties to Apple. Mullvad is also an option but that's for your more experienced users so I'll leave that up to them to work out. Browser Extensions:
uBlock Origin: content blocker that blocks ads, trackers, and fingerprinting scripts. Notable for being the only ad blocker that still works on Youtube.
Privacy Badger: Content blocker that specifically blocks trackers and fingerprinting scripts. This one will catch things that uBlock doesn't catch but does not work for ads.
Facebook Container: "but I don't have facebook" you might say. Doesn't matter, Meta/Facebook still has trackers out there in EVERYTHING and this containerizes them off away from everything else.
Bitwarden: Password vaulting software, don't trust the password saving features of your browsers, this has multiple layers of security to prevent your passwords from being stolen.
ClearURLs: Allows you to copy and paste URL's without any trackers attached to them.
VPN: Note: VPN software doesn't make you anonymous, no matter what your favorite youtuber tells you, but it does make it harder for your data to be tracked and it makes it less open for whatever public network you're presently connected to.
Mozilla VPN: If you get the annual subscription it's ~$60/year and it comes with an extension that you can install into Firefox.
Mullvad VPN: Is a fast and inexpensive VPN with a serious focus on transparency and security. They have been in operation since 2009. Mullvad is based in Sweden and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for payment methods that allow it.
Email Provider: Note: By now you've probably realized that Gmail, Outlook, and basically all of the major "free" e-mail service providers are scraping your e-mail data to use for ad data. There are more secure services that can get you away from that but if you'd like the same storage levels you have on Gmail/Ol utlook.com you'll need to pay.
Tuta: Secure, end-to-end encrypted, been around a very long time, and offers a free option up to 1gb.
Mailbox.org: Is an email service with a focus on being secure, ad-free, and privately powered by 100% eco-friendly energy. They have been in operation since 2014. Mailbox.org is based in Berlin, Germany. Accounts start with up to 2GB storage, which can be upgraded as needed.
Email Client:
Thunderbird: a free, open-source, cross-platform email, newsgroup, news feed, and chat (XMPP, IRC, Matrix) client developed by the Thunderbird community, and previously by the Mozilla Foundation.
FairMail (Android Only): minimal, open-source email app which uses open standards (IMAP, SMTP, OpenPGP), has several out of the box privacy features, and minimizes data and battery usage.
Cloud Storage:
Tresorit: Encrypted cloud storage owned by the national postal service of Switzerland. Received MULTIPLE awards for their security stats.
Peergos: decentralized and open-source, allows for you to set up your own cloud storage, but will require a certain level of expertise.
Microsoft Office Replacements:
LibreOffice: free and open-source, updates regularly, and has the majority of the same functions as base level Microsoft Office.
OnlyOffice: cloud-based, free
FreeOffice: Personal licenses are free, probably the closest to a fully office suite replacement.
Chat Clients: Note: As you've heard SMS and even WhatsApp and some other popular chat clients are basically open season right now. These are a couple of options to replace those. Note2: Signal has had some reports of security flaws, the service it was built on was originally built for the US Government, and it is based within the CONUS thus is susceptible to US subpoenas. Take that as you will.
Signal: Provides IM and calling securely and encrypted, has multiple layers of data hardening to prevent intrusion and exfil of data.
Molly (Android OS only): Alternative client to Signal. Routes communications through the TOR Network.
Briar: Encrypted IM client that connects to other clients through the TOR Network, can also chat via wifi or bluetooth.
SimpleX: Truly anonymous account creation, fully encrypted end to end, available for Android and iOS.
Now for the last bit, I know that the majority of people are on Windows or macOS, but if you can get on Linux I would strongly recommend it. pop_OS, Ubuntu, and Mint are super easy distros to use and install. They all have very easy to follow instructions on how to install them on your PC and if you'd like to just test them out all you need is a thumb drive to boot off of to run in demo mode. For more secure distributions for the more advanced users the options are: Whonix, Tails (Live USB only), and Qubes OS.
On a personal note I use Arch Linux, but I WOULD NOT recommend this be anyone's first distro as it requires at least a base level understanding of Linux and liberal use of the Arch Linux Wiki. If you game through Steam their Proton emulator in compatibility mode works wonders, I'm presently playing a major studio game that released in 2024 with no Linux support on it and once I got my drivers installed it's looked great. There are some learning curves to get around, but the benefit of the Linux community is that there's always people out there willing to help. I hope some of this information helps you and look out for yourself, it's starting to look scarier than normal out there.

Uh... AI fanart? Idk how to feel about this...
Tumblr media
Yep...we're in that stage. So I recently posted the 'Visions of the Last Symphony' comic on reddit and someone apparently took inspiration and created this using a software known as Picsart (which definitely 100% has AI as a part of it's software).
Now i will not go into the great detail about our conversation but the person who dmed me insists that the use of AI was minimal and they actually had to do a fair amount of this by hand. But the thing is, I'm a bit skeptical.
here's some of the dms for context,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One thing I've learned about the internet is that lying is very very easy. So not sure if i believe this.
I personally believe that AI "ArT" is a crime against nature at a fundamental level. And I have stated as such. But this doesn't appear harmful or ill-intention-ed, so i dont know if its tolerable or not, especially since i dont know Picsart as a software and how much human effort something like this actually takes.
Overall, this isnt that serious and I ofc dont dislike the user or want any hate to come go towards them. But for anyone who wishes to make fanart of TWHUTH or any related story (Which you totally can btw) please do not use AI or any AI tool or program. Just pick up a pencil and draw, i swear no matter how bad it it is, its probably better than my own art lmao. :D
But what do you guys think? Thanks and Cheerio! :D

🇺🇸 Before purchasing the iconic ICQ Messenger from Mirabilis, AOL Inc. had already developed its own internet messaging tool. Released in May 1997 as a stand-alone download for Microsoft Windows, AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) quickly became the go-to platform for online communication. Created by American Online Inc., AIM used the OSCAR and TOC protocols to connect users in real time, becoming a cultural phenomenon by the late 1990s.
💾 At its peak, AIM had the largest share of the instant messaging market in North America, particularly in the United States, where it held 52% of the market as of 2006. This figure excludes other AOL-related instant messaging software like ICQ and iChat. AIM's main competitors included ICQ (which AOL acquired in 1998), Yahoo! Messenger, and MSN Messenger. AOL had a notable rivalry with PowWow and Microsoft, sparking the "chat wars" in 1999.
🚶‍♂️ The AIM mascot, designed by JoRoan Lazaro, debuted with the first release in 1997. This yellow stickman-like figure, known as the "Running Man," appeared on all AIM logos and wordmarks and was always featured at the top of the buddy list.
👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓 AIM was particularly popular among teens and college students in the United States and beyond. Its away message feature allowed users to share their whereabouts, thoughts, and plans with friends, making it a staple of daily digital interaction. AIM wasn't just a messaging app; it was a way of life.
📉 Despite its early success, AIM's popularity began to decline in the 2010s. The rise of Gmail's Google Talk, the advent of SMS, and the explosive growth of social networks like Facebook led to a decrease in AOL subscribers. AIM's fall from grace is often compared to other once-dominant services like Myspace.
📆 In June 2015, AOL was acquired by Verizon Communications, which later merged AOL and Yahoo into Oath Inc. Unfortunately, on December 15, 2017, AIM was discontinued, marking the end of an era.
💔 Though AIM is no longer with us, its impact on digital communication remains unforgettable. It paved the way for the instant messaging services we rely on today, leaving behind a legacy of nostalgia and innovation.

On ThursdaY, Reuters published a photo depicting then-United States national security adviser Mike Waltz checking his phone during a cabinet meeting held by President Trump in the White House. If you enlarge the portion of the image that captures Waltz’s screen, it seems to show him using the end-to-end encrypted messaging app Signal. But if you look more closely, a notification on the screen refers to the app as “TM SGNL.” During a White House cabinet meeting on Wednesday, then, Waltz was apparently using an Israeli-made app called TeleMessage Signal to message with people who appear to be top US officials, including JD Vance, Marco Rubio, and Tulsi Gabbard.
After senior Trump administration cabinet members used vanishing Signal messages to coordinate March military strikes in Yemen—and accidentally included the editor in chief of The Atlantic in the group chat—the “SignalGate” scandal highlighted concerning breaches of traditional government “operational security” protocol as well as compliance issues with federal records-retention laws. At the center of the debacle was Waltz, who was ousted by Trump as US national security adviser on Thursday. Waltz created the “Houthi PC Small Group” chat and was the member who added top Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg. "I take full responsibility. I built the group," Waltz told Fox News in late March. "We've got the best technical minds looking at how this happened," he added at the time.
SignalGate had nothing to do with Signal. The app was functioning normally and was simply being used at an inappropriate time for an incredibly sensitive discussion that should have been carried out on special-purpose, hardened federal devices and software platforms. If you're going to flout the protocols, though, Signal is (relatively speaking) a good place to do it, because the app is designed so only the senders and receivers of messages in a group chat can read them. And the app is built to collect as little information as possible about its users and their associates. This means that if US government officials were chatting on the app, spies or malicious hackers could only access their communications by directly compromising participants' devices—a challenge that is potentially surmountable but at least limits possible access points. Using an app like TeleMessage Signal, though, presumably in an attempt to comply with data retention requirements, opens up numerous other paths for adversaries to access messages.
"I don't even know where to start with this," says Jake Williams, a former NSA hacker and vice president of research and development at Hunter Strategy. “It's mind-blowing that the federal government is using Israeli tech to route extremely sensitive data for archival purposes. You just know that someone is grabbing a copy of that data. Even if TeleMessage isn't willingly giving it up, they have just become one of the biggest nation-state targets out there.”
TeleMessage was founded in Israel in 1999 by former Israel Defense Forces technologists and run out of the country until it was acquired last year by the US-based digital communications archiving company Smarsh. The service creates duplicates of communication apps that are outfitted with a “mobile archiver” tool to record and store messages sent through the app.
“Capture, archive and monitor mobile communication: SMS, MMS, Voice Calls, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram & Signal,” TeleMessage says on its website. For Signal it adds, “Record and capture Signal calls, texts, multimedia and files on corporate-issued and employee BYOD phones.” (BYOD stands for bring your own device.) In other words, there are TeleMessage versions of Signal for essentially any mainstream consumer device. The company says that using TeleMessage Signal, users can “Maintain all Signal app features and functionality as well as the Signal encryption,” adding that the app provides “End-to-End encryption from the mobile phone through to the corporate archive.” The existence of “the corporate archive,” though, undermines the privacy and security of the end-to-end encryption scheme.
TeleMessage apps are not approved for use under the US government's Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program or FedRAMP. TeleMessage and Smarsh did not immediately return requests for comment about whether their products are used by the US federal government and in what capacity.
"As we have said many times, Signal is an approved app for government use and is loaded on government phones,” White House press secretary Anna Kelly tells WIRED. She did not answer questions about whether the White House approves of federal officials using TeleMessage Signal—which is a different app from Signal—or whether other officials aside from Waltz have used the app or currently use it.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency does not create policy around federal technology use but does release public guidance. When asked about Waltz’s apparent use of TeleMessage Signal, CISA simply referred WIRED to its best-practices guide for mobile communications. The document specifically advises, “When selecting an end-to-end encrypted messaging app, evaluate the extent to which the app and associated services collect and store metadata.”
It is not clear when Waltz started using TeleMessage Signal and whether he was already using it during SignalGate or started using it afterward in response to criticisms that turning on Signal's disappearing messages feature is in conflict with federal data-retention laws.
“I have no doubt the leadership of the US national security apparatus ran this software through a full information-assurance process to ensure there was no information leakage to foreign nations,” says Johns Hopkins cryptographer Matt Green. “Because if they didn’t, we are screwed.”

Xiaother Ramble on why I ship it over Xiaolumi
Okay so basically I love Xiao x Traveller in general and if you ship Xiaolumi consider yourself a homie but I personally like Xiaother more.
Honestly the whole discourse on Xiaother vs Xiaolumi is so stupid because technically speaking both Travellers are the same due to how little the game really expands on them but personally I ship Xiaother over Xiaolumi.
It could probably come from my love of opposites attract but it's a little more than that as well. From the little difference we've seen in the twin's personalities, a lot of people agree that Lumi is the more serious one. While she is a warm person, she is more stern and seems to hold her ground well. Aether is more approachable and easy to talk TO rather than AT, while he can be a people pleaser he's still capable of being assertive in a way.
Both of them are easily good for Xiao, their personalities play off of his quite well in the long run. Xiao is more reclusive and tends to keep to himself in fear of hurting other people and losing control, it was obvious he was confused when the traveller was so insistent on talking and interacting with him and was apprehensive at first but got used to them quickly. Not to mention the whole, "Call my name and I'll appear" thing.
When it comes to Xiaolumi, they are both quiet and more serious people that, while they are capable of warmth, tend to stick to their duties and prefer to get things over with efficiently. (They have such power couple potential I love them sm) But in my personal opinion, I feel like they wouldn't be able to always communicate properly and Xiao being with a person similar to him would draw him back from seeing himself as less of a tool, even if Lumi would constantly reassure him that he's not.(ANGST POTENTIAL AMIRITE?) Xiao would probably need someone who wouldn't just tell him, but SHOW him the positive aspects of life, and who better than someone with a friendly and approachable persona?
Xiaother are like this, Xiao is how I describe him and Aether being himself is able to draw Xiao's positive aspects out and influence him more when it comes to social and healthy ways of coping with his trauma or just his low-self esteem in general. Aether would be someone who'd convince him to open up and would be willing to put his tasks on hold to listen, other times he'd do his commissions and whenever he's done he'd try to find Xiao to check in on him. The only sad parts would be that Xiao would feel like he's unworthy of this love and try to backtrack in fear of hurting someone so kind, fear of corrupting someone who brightens his day even if he thinks it in silence. (SORRY I'M ATTACKING YOU WITH ANGST) Xiao might also need someone who can tell him things straight and knows when they don't need to fake a smile when they are overworked or tired which is where Xiaolumi would work better.
Overall, Xiaother is my fav out of the two ships because I enjoy the fluff and Xiao angst just makes me sad :(
But in all seriousness, both ships are valid as heck with both twins being so similar in the game when they are whatever role they are, but when looking at it through the aspect of what the game intends the twins to act-Xiaother is my ride or die because of their dynamic and because of how I enjoy the ideas and hcs in my head for them ESPECIALLY as a fanfic writer.
*Of course to note when it comes to me writing the twin's personalities most of it is based on common opinion and loose evidence mixed with a small hc or two so if you see the twins differently that is perfectly fine-I'm just a hopeless romantic with a love for silly ships </3
ALSO XIAO X ABYSS TWIN WHEN??
