This is a brand I am very excited about! It’s a body & personal care brand that is sustainable, cruelty-free, vegan and gluten-free! Although still in its infancy, Saltair is making huge waves within the skincare industry and has been taken on at Target. You can also shop their full range on the Saltair website.

I was introduced to Saltair by Iskra Lawrence, the founder, via her Instagram account. Fun fact: I worked with Iskra over a decade ago for a magazine shoot. The brief was creative makeup for a creative knit wear brand, you can find the images in my archive.

The affordable Bodycare selection ranges from body wash, lotions and treatments to natural deodorant that is available as a refill. You can expect to pay between $12 + $10 per product, they also offer travel size at $5.

Saltair has recently expanded into haircare and I am obsessed!!! I washed my hair on Monday and by Thursday (wash day) I could still smell the scent of the haircare duo. For me, that’s impressive.

Although Iskra is from the UK, she resides in the US with her partner and son, and therefore the brand is currently only available there - I am hoping this will change and their offerings will expand to the UK. I have been fortunate enough to receive nearly all of the range via the PR team and can tell you that I am well and truly in love with all that I’ve sampled.

If you are new to the brand I would HIGHLY recommend you give them a try! I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

What’s yours favorite perfume that you wear? Do you have a signature perfume?

Oh wow! I haven’t gotten an ask in a long time! So thank you 🙏🏾

I don’t wear a ton of perfume but it is a goal of mine to always smell good lol. I don’t stink but I want people to know I smell good lol. But I have Prada Paradoxe, I love it. I also use Saltair Santal Bloom the most and I think that’s my signature right now. I also wear Sol De Janerio’s red (I forget what the number) one.

In today's useless trivia I learnt this time while looking up salt lakes, which by the way are formed because they're terminal lakes, aka the water doesn't flow anywhere else so the minerals build up to the point of an eventual feedback loop that creates salt.

But that's not the useless trivia - that's trivia that can be used for writing and/or salt sourcing. No, today's useless trivia is that there is a resort on the Great Salt Lake in Utah called Saltair (technically it's full name is the Saltair Pavilion but I am on a first name basis because I say so). However the version that is there today is not the original, nor even the second. The original Saltair was from the late 1800s and was destroyed in a fire. The second Saltair was from the 1930s and was also destroyed in a fire. The third Saltair is from the early 2000s and should be destroyed in a fire out of tradition.
