~ Tubbo & Quackity ~
Tubbo can’t remember how old he was when he first saw someone die.  He’d been young.  He remembers a lot of deaths, but they blur.  He can’t pin down what the first one was.  To Schlatt’s credit, however miniscule that is, Tubbo wasn’t meant to see dead bodies that young.  Tubbo was curious and went looking where he wasn’t supposed to or sometimes people tried to kill Schlatt and got killed instead and Tubbo happened to be there.  And not to Schlatt’s credit, Tubbo did get drawn into things deliberately far too young.  He’s been counting blood money since he was nine years old.  That had been his first job in the family business.  First, counting blood money under the sharp supervision of his father, and then a few years later going to collect from businesses that didn’t need actively bullied into coughing up.  That has been his life for as long as he can remember.  He never actually had a childhood.  So he assumed adjusting to adulthood would be easier.  Not that he imagined a life free of fear or burden, but he thought he knew what that weight would feel like.  Maybe he did know, but knowing the responsibility and the risks didn’t prepare him for how lonely it would be.
He’s thought about running.  He’s thought about running since he was little, but he knows better now.  If he were to leave, that means more harm caused by the people he let run wild.  His loved ones would get hurt and he wouldn’t get to repair the damage Schlatt did.  Maybe Tubbo doesn’t know how to exist without a fight.  He doesn’t think he could leave this city until it burned to ash in front of him.  And of course there’s the fact that the only person he would want to run away with, who would be willing to run away with him, well.  He and Tommy aren’t talking anymore.  He’s not entirely alone.  He still has Jack, and that matters, but Tubbo needs to keep his distance, even from him.  They live together now, they share a modest flat on the East side, but that doesn’t stop Tubbo from keeping his cards close to his chest.  His breakdowns merely remain quiet.  He’d wanted to live with Tommy.  That wasn’t an option.
Tubbo is so fucking lonely, and he has no idea who he can tell that to.
Maybe his isolation is self-inflicted, but it’s not like there’s no precedent for it.  If he keeps people close, he cannot keep them safe.  If he could get rid of Jack at this point he would, but the man literally refuses to leave him.
Eventually that was going to hurt them.
Initially, it had just been a meeting with Fundy.  That is, until Tubbo saw something on the news.
“Mayor Hedge ends prohibition after 26 years, stating: ‘It never really worked, though.  This way we can regulate it.  A… a buddy of mine, it was the drinking that killed him.  I’m doing this for him.’  This decision raises serious questions about Mayor Hedge’s chances for reelection”
That had both annoyed Tubbo and made him burst out laughing, but it wasn’t until Fundy spoke that awful pieces fell into place.
“Do you see this bullshit?  He’s talking about fucking Schlatt,” Tubbo scoffed.  “It was the drinking that killed him?  I didn’t realize a birthday boy with a .44 was the drinking.”
“Oh, yeah,” Fundy laughed, more focused on the paperwork he had been going over with Tubbo, explaining to him in detail just how screwed he is.  “I can’t believe Quackity got him to break that easy, but that’s Big Q for you, right?”
“What d’you mean?”
“Oh, that was all Quackity,” Fundy nodded to the TV.  “He told me about it.  Crazy shit, man.  Guess it makes sense, the guy wants to run his casino… sorta above board.”
“Quackity ended the prohibition?”
“I mean, technically the mayor did, but yeah, pretty much.”
Tubbo’s mild irritation fades into something more sour.  Quackity of all people knows how dangerous a drunk can be.  Tubbo didn’t let the bitterness settle, he and Fundy had more important things to focus on, but when he met with Jack later that day, it was the first thing on his mind.
“The prohibition is ending, so, we’ll no longer be able to use ferrying booze to speakeasies as a source of income.  No clue what Puffy is going to do,” Tubbo was itching to talk about the thing that was actually bothering him, but that wasn’t allowed.  By his own rules, he shouldn't get vulnerable like that.
“Yeah, well, to be fair, we weren’t making much there, just transporting to like, Niki’s place and two others,” Jack points out.  He notices Tubbo’s solemn look.  “What?  What is it, man?”
“Quackity is responsible for that whole deal.”
“What?”
“The prohibition ending.”
Jack doesn’t follow.  “Oh.  Uh, good for him, then.”
“D’you think he thought it through when–?”
There’s a knock at the door.  Jack and Tubbo stare at each other.
This house isn’t a known location.  It is nothing of significance, merely a safe place to meet with the others and to keep talking shop away from their little apartment.  It’s derelict, in a bad neighborhood, and usually unoccupied.
“From your look, I’d say we’re not expecting anyone?” Jack says wearily.
Tubbo shakes his head.  “Look through the door.”
Jack nods, going up beside the door, one hand on his gun as he looks through it.
“Some big dickhead in a suit.  Not one of ours.  Should we clear out?” Jack asks.
Tubbo frowns, going to see for himself, jumping when there’s another sharp knock.  Still, Tubbo looks.  A man stares around the street, looking calm but impatient.  He looks directly at the door, and speaks, words muffled but audible through the wood.
“I’d open up, Mr. Underscore.  We know you’re in there.  And I don’t suggest slipping out the back.”
Tubbo steps back, dread only growing.  They know his name.   Jack stares back with equal terror, but he doesn’t dare voice it aloud.  He’s gotten his gun out.  He treads lightly through the house, leaving Tubbo alone for just a second, returning quickly.
“Two guys on the back porch.  And I bet the guy out front isn’t alone either.”
“Fuck.”  Tubbo is thinking fast.  He knows there are people after him, and while it’s unnerving that they had asked for him by his name instead of Schlatt’s, it’s not impossible.  He did announce himself at the funeral.  Dead men can’t pay, so if he opens that door, they probably won’t kill them.  Probably.  “Fuck!” Tubbo says far too loudly.  “Okay, okay, Jack, you stay behind the door, and I’ll open it–”
“Open it?!”
“Yes, open it!  You think these types of people aren’t above breaking doors down?!” He snaps.  “They’re coming in whether we like it or not, so I would prefer if it was with you hidden and with a gun.”
Jack can’t argue with that, despite it being clear he wants to, so he does as Tubbo asked and presses himself against the wall behind the door, gun at the ready.
“When I nod, you step out and level your gun with the first man you see, got it?” Tubbo says quietly.
“Got it, Boss,” Jack gives him a smirk.
Tubbo takes a deep breath.  He opens the door.
“Can I help you, gentlemen?” Tubbo says coolly.  He can feel his heart beating in his ears.
The man before him is big, yes, far bigger than him or Jack, but that’s not where the threat lies.  It’s in the calm of him, the polite smile, and the nod of the head, leaving the glares and intimidation for the two men who are with him, having lurked just out of sight of the doorhole.
“I hope so,” the man says.  “Mind if we come in?”
“I’d like to know why you’re here first, if that’s alright with you.”  Tubbo doesn’t step back, keeping his words amicable, but his stony expression nothing but.
“Hm,” the man tilts his head, seemingly mulling something over.  “You don’t know me, do you?”
Tubbo doesn’t know how to answer that.  The man steps forward, as if to brush past him into the house, but Tubbo doesn’t move.  The man pauses, taking half a step back as he considers this stubborn teenager in front of him.  The man leans in closer, close enough that Tubbo can smell his aftershave.  Tubbo still refuses to yield.  The man speaks softly, a polite whisper as if not to embarrass him.  “I’m playing along, I’m acting nice, Mr. Underscore.  Tubbo.  I think it’s in your best interest to play along too, okay?”
Tubbo calculates.  Then, he takes a step back.  “Please, do come in,” he says with that same mild-mannered facade.
The man crosses the threshold.  “Thank you.”  He scans the derelict living room.  “Where’s your friend?”
“Having a lie down, so I’d prefer if we kept it quiet, so as not to wake him,” Tubbo replies immediately.
The man laughs softly, looking at Tubbo with wry amusement.  “You… you really don’t know me.  You’re acting like you have an ounce of control here.  That’s…” he considers his words thoughtfully, “dangerous.”
“I think you might be underestimating me,” Tubbo doesn’t blink, staring the man down.  He nods.
Jack steps out from behind the door, gun leveled with the man at the front of the group.  Tubbo reaches into his own holster.  That’s as far as they get.
The man behind the ringleader tackles Jack to the ground, the gun goes off, bullet landing in drywall instead of the man’s skull and before Tubbo can draw his own gun the man has stepped forward, grabbed his wrist, twisted his arm back, and pulled the gun from his jacket.  In a matter of seconds, Jack is now pinned to the floor, a gun pressed to the back of his head, and Tubbo is pressed against a wall.  Tubbo finally feels that terror fully.  His sense of control had always been an illusion, but it is another loss to have it shattered so easily.  He’s back to being a helpless little boy at the mercy of men much stronger than him.
The man tuts him, but to Tubbo’s surprise, he lets go, stepping back.  Tubbo turns around, shaken and disarmed but doing his best not to show it.  He doesn’t look at Jack.  Silence.  Everyone in the room waiting to see what this man will do.  He makes them wait.
Finally, he speaks.  “You don’t know me, do you?”  He’s smiling with the kind of patronizing benevolence Tubbo associates with lazy social workers.  Tubbo doesn’t say a word, so the man continues, circling the room at a leisurely pace, sparing Jack a glance before returning his focus to Tubbo.  “I remember when you were just a little guy.” He holds his fingers close together, as if at one point Tubbo were nothing more than an ant.  “Your father and I, we knew each other a long time.  Over ten years now, and, well, it’s not a complicated relationship.  He owed us.  Meaning, you owe us.  You met some of my… associates a few months back.  Ring any bells?”
Tubbo is silent, staring daggers at the floor.
“You can answer.  I mean,” a laugh.  “Don’t tell me you’ve just been fucking around with no clue.  I thought I was being nice when I sent you a reminder, a nonviolent one, might I add.”
Tubbo doesn’t want to deign this pathetic man with a reply.  He knows that’s dangerous.  Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Jack.  He can see the gun pressed to the back of his head as he lies flat on his stomach, a man keeping him on the ground.  He doesn’t know if Jack is looking at him.  He doesn’t want to see.
“Hm,” the man sounds perhaps intrigued, not even annoyed that Tubbo dare not respond.  “Regardless, you know now.  And I’ve been patient.  Even as your father tested me I extended some of that patience to you.  You’ve had two months.”
“My father left behind a lot of messes to clean up, which one are you?” Tubbo asks, looking back up at this stranger, staring him down.
“Oh, me?” The man puts a hand to his chest, as if flattered.  “I’m just a lowly messenger.  Your father’s account manager, of a kind.  We’ve been in business together a long time.  I saw you once, maybe twice over the years, took inventory, y’know.  We usually met outside the house, so it’s okay that you don’t remember me.”
“I’m looking for a name, sir, an affiliation if you will,” Tubbo says snippily.  Better than considering the meaning of took inventory.  At some point when Tubbo was small, this man had seen him, and delegated him to the role of leverage.  Tubbo knew his father endangered his life on the regular, it’s different to have that information handed to him in such a procedural way.
The man laughs again, delighted by this boy’s audacity.  “Hm.  I’m sure you’ve heard of Twitch, haven’t you?”
Tubbo frowns, thrown for a loop.  “What, like the Church?”
“Sure, if you like,” the man nods amicably.  “Like the Church, like the banks, like the property management, I mean, food industry, manufacturing, the casinos, the unions, the booze smuggling, you name it, we’ve got our blood sweat and tears in it, isn’t that right, boys?” He gives a knowing look to his accompanying muscle, and they look amused.  “You… you know us from the Church, huh?  You could say I’m a missionary, then.  Spreading our message.”
Tubbo tries not to get lost in what all that information means.  He deigns never to tell Tommy one of the few things he had faith in is as filthy as the rest of this city.  Not that it matters.  He wouldn’t have the chance to tell Tommy anyway.  “And, Mr. Missionary, this call is about the money my dead father owed, correct?  That you now think you have the right to collect from me?” Tubbo says scornfully.
The man stops his pacing, less amused now, stepping up to Tubbo, who doesn’t step back.  “Yeah.  Yeah, I do.  Even your moronic father knew to fear us.  And I really don’t think you should be taking this lightly.”
Tubbo stares him down.  His arm still hurts from where the man had grabbed him.  He smiles.  “What’re you gonna do, kill me?”
The man doesn’t look surprised nor thrown off.  He just looks at Tubbo like something to be butchered and Tubbo hates that he reminds him of his father.  He gives Tubbo a once over, voice soft and calm.  “Something like that.”  He steps back, glancing at Jack once more like he’s a rather interesting rug instead of a hostage.  “A lot of your father’s boys are dead.  Although I’m sure you’re aware of that.”
“Yes, oddly enough, I am.”
“What about…” The man snaps his fingers.  “HQ?  You know, we’re not too happy with him either.  Casinos, that’s our business, but fine, we’ll… we’ll have a little pity, the guy’s partner just died.”
Tubbo feels the panic sharpen in his chest.  This man knows too much.  Maybe Schlatt’s boys talked, but why about Quackity?  No one outside Schlatt’s circle was supposed to know the details of their relationship.  “What about him?  Quackity– Quackity HQ was his lawyer, actually.”
The man laughs.  “Dunno if your old man slacked on teaching you the birds and the bees, but those two weren’t talking lawsuits, I’ll tell you that.”  The man watches Tubbo carefully, calculating something.  “You could always ask your buddy over there for some money from his whole operation.”
“We’re not buddies,” Tubbo scoffs.  “Does it seem like I was on good terms with my father?  Let alone his lawyer?”
The man sighs.  He adjusts the rings on his fingers and Tubbo steps back because he recognizes such a motion, but he’s still not prepared when the man’s fist nails him in the jaw.
“Tubbo!” Jack shouts from the floor, struggling frantically, forced to stop by the barrel of the gun dug in further to his skull.
Tubbo hits the wall, and almost keeps himself off the ground even as he stumbles, if not for the man knocking his feet out from under him.  Tubbo hits the ground, catching himself with his hands and tries to get up.  He has to get up.  The man kicks him sharply in the ribs, Tubbo gasps, breathless.  He has to get up.
“Leave him alone you stupid fucking bastard!” Jack shouts, still struggling despite the weighted threat of a bullet.
Finally, all of this done methodically, emotionlessly, he grabs Tubbo by the hair and slams his head against the wall, not hard enough to knock him out, but certainly enough to get Tubbo’s attention.  Then, the bastard has the audacity to offer Tubbo, dazed, a hand off the ground.
Tubbo struggles to get his bearings.  His lip is bleeding.  He stares at the offered hand unsteadily before spitting at the man’s feet, clawing at the wall behind him to stand on his own.
“I would prefer if you didn’t play games with me, kid,” the man sounds so scolding.  “And don’t straight up lie.  It won’t go well for you.  You need to understand that if you don’t cough up and cough up soon, we’re going to take away everything that you love.”  The man towers over him, and Tubbo, bloody lip and ringing skull, refuses to flinch.
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Tubbo snarls, glaring up at him.  The audacity of this man to make assumptions based on outdated information.  Quackity had rejected him first, whatever lies in the past has no bearing on now.  It can’t.  “I killed my own father, and you think an attachment to his lawyer is going to faze me?  At all?  It’s downright pathetic, really.  So why’re you acting like I’m trying to play with the big boys unprepared when you clearly don’t know your mark as well as you think you do?”
The man considers this with the same maddening neutrality.  “Huh.”  A pause.  “Kill baldie.”
“Wait, no, please!” Tubbo screams and lunges for the man behind Jack, but someone grabs Tubbo by the arms and holds him back even as Tubbo struggles fiercely.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Jack says, voice high and frantic, eyes closed and head turned, the gun digging into his ear.
Jack is still alive simply because the ringleader raised his hand.
The man is still watching Tubbo so carefully.  He raises his eyebrows.  “You look a little fazed, kid.”
Tubbo doesn’t say a word, staring at Jack, lump in his throat, he tries to keep his expression blank even as he knows it’s too late for them, the damage is done.
“That’s what I fucking thought.”  The man nods, and the goon holding Tubbo lets go.  Tubbo takes one step toward Jack and the so-called missionary places one hand against his chest, stopping him.  “You know, little bit of advice,” he says softly.  “Before you make a bluff, make sure there isn’t a big fucking weakpoint in the middle of the room.  You’re not cutthroat where it counts, are you, kid?” he glances at Jack again.  “We’re reasonable people.  I won’t ask for all the money by the end of the month, but if you don’t make a fucking dent,” the man tuts him and finally steps back, one wave of the hand, and the man poised to kill Jack gets off of him.  “Well, just don’t forget what we know.  Maybe you and HQ had a falling out, maybe you didn’t.  We’ll find out whoever it is you still want alive, like baldie over there, and we’ll decide if they get to keep breathing or not.  Or, maybe you decide! Eh? All it’ll take is 40 grand.  Let’s say… 10 by the end of the month.”  The missionary gives Tubbo one last once over, smiling.  “Good luck, Mr. Underscore.”
The front door closes.
“Jack?!  Jack, are you alright?” Tubbo scrambles to his friend’s side, giving him a hand off the ground.
“Me?  Are you?” Jack nods to Tubbo’s face.  He knows it’s going to leave a nasty bruise.  “Oh shit, you’re bleeding,” Jack stands on his tiptoes to look at the blood matting Tubbo’s hair.  “He really got you.  Fuck, man.”
“I’m fine.”
Jack gives him a look.  “Either I look at it, or I call in Ponk.”
“You… you don’t need to drag Ponk out here for… for a little blood,” Tubbo says exasperatedly.
“Good!  Now sit down,” Jack all but pushes him into a chair, going into the bathroom and pulling out a first aid kit from under the sink.
“When the fuck did you put that there-?”
“A while ago, now look down,” Jack says irritably.
Tubbo hisses as the pain sharpens, Jack dabbing at the blood carefully.  “That fucking hurts.”
“Yeah, probably ‘cause you almost got your head bashed in,” Jack points out.  “Talk.  It’ll distract you.  Like…” Jack holds him steady when he puts the anti-infectant onto the wound, Tubbo biting his knuckles.  “What’s the plan, Boss?”
Tubbo cannot say I don’t know.  That’s not an option for him anymore.  But he thinks the answer he does have is worse.  “We make ourselves Quackity’s problem.”
Jack frowns.  “You’re… you’re serious?”
“Obviously,” Tubbo shuts his eyes tightly as Jack closes the wound with butterfly stitches.  “Two birds with one stone, Jack.  Everything has said Quackity is dangerous to us right now.  If people keep on acting like Quackity was my fucking mother, it’s gonna get us both killed.  And… and if I don’t turn up some cash soon, that’s gonna get us all killed too.”
“And… the answer is to go fuck around at Las Nevadas instead of maybe… I dunno, working with Quackity to figure some shit out?” Jack asks doubtfully.
“Quackity isn’t interested in figuring shit out with me,” Tubbo says coolly.  “The sooner we make sure the rest of the world knows that too, it will be better for both of us.”
Jack is almost startled.  This is the most Tubbo has talked about something personal in weeks.  “Do you… do you wanna talk about it?”
Tubbo turns to look at him sharply, looking almost offended.  He doesn’t even bother replying.  “We have work to do, Jack.  Come on.”
~
The prohibition was repealed in a day.  Quackity isn’t entirely sure how, but Connor comes through when he needs to.  So, now along with preparing his card dealers, bouncers, and hosts, he has to track down a bartender.  Additionally, another petty comfort in his nerves, he’s hired Purpled to work the place opening night, just a little insurance in case anything else goes wrong.  They’re in the final stretch.  Five days until the opening night.
Getting the shit beaten out of him by someone he had once considered an ally wasn’t exactly a highlight of the week.  He also doesn’t know what to make of his newest staff member holding a gun to his father to protect them.  Even worse, when afterwards Sapnap was clearly holding back tears.  Quackity hadn’t known what to do with that.  He also hadn’t known what to do with Karl being the one to comfort him.
Regardless, that’s yesterday’s news, even if he’s still dealing with the consequences of it.  His head of security is back on crutches and Quackity is supposed to not strain himself considering he has a cracked rib.  Quackity is going through nothing but strain.  Most of the bartenders in the city aren’t confident enough to come work above board just yet, and at this rate Quackity is going to end up tending the bar himself.
Knowing Karl is safe is his one consolation.  Sapnap is clearly committed, and has been protecting Karl with rapt attention.  Karl says the guy is adorably awkward at Kinoko Bookstore, hovering and watching every customer like he’s expecting one of them to show up with a bomb instead of a book request.  As to whether or not Sapnap Halo is still a fucking pig, the jury’s not out yet.  As long as the guy stays away from their business, they should do just fine.  Although, Quackity is quite proud to say, Las Nevadas is entirely above board.  Now that alcohol is legal, there isn’t a shred of probable cause in the building.  Excluding the guns.  License to carry or not, there are limits.  That’s what secret drawers and hidden cabinets are for, right?
Outside of the personal side of things, on the business side of things, they’re going well.  They’re going to plan, and that makes Quackity even more nervous.  There’s always cracks, and things always break eventually.  Usually poised to crush him beneath the rubble.
Still, he keeps building.  He has the counter turned into the bar it was always meant to be, and even if he can’t find a bartender just yet, it’s easy to get in touch with Puffy to get ahold of some booze.  Not yet a fully stocked bar, but somewhere close.  Quackity is pretty sure he’s going to be one of the first upstanding businesses to serve alcohol in this new post-prohibition era.  Something to be proud of, he thinks.
It has to be perfect.  It has to be impressive.  And it definitely has to be worth it.
Quackity has put too much of himself on the line to get this to work for him.  If it fails, he thinks he might do something drastic.
Quackity has felt something inside of him slowly rising to a fever pitch all month.  The closer they get to the grand opening, the worse it gets.  It’s beyond nerves, beyond anxiety even.  It inches closer and closer toward paranoia.  Something is going to ruin this for him.
He just hadn’t expected it to be Tubbo.
~
Tubbo lurks outside Las Nevadas with Jack and half a dozen men he trusts about as far as he can spit.  He doesn’t want to do this.  He’s going to anyway.
Tubbo stares intently through the glass.  He can see Foolish.  He can see Quackity.  There’s no sign of Sam or any other hired gun.  “Ground rules, boys.  We are going to do as little damage as possible.”
“Why?”
“Because our end goal is for this to be an investment.  I highly suggest you don’t damage my investment, are we clear?”  Tubbo waits for some acknowledgement, an irritable nod.  “I’ll be generous.  You can each break one thing, but keep away from the especially expensive-looking machines and the stuff behind the bar.  I suggest breaking a barstool, or perhaps a card table.”
“Lucky us,” the man says dryly.
“Go home,” Tubbo says icily.  “Children don’t get to participate, so until you can act your age, I suggest you fuck off.”
The man glances at him, scowling.  They’re used to it by now.  They undermine Tubbo, they’re forced to leave, or they get shot.  Typically non-fatally, but it isn’t exactly pleasant.  Not to mention, getting shot non-fatally usually leads to a more radical retort, and that tends to lead to a more deadly shot.  The man leaves.
That’s one less person to intimidate with, but that’s far preferable to a loose cannon getting carried away and doing some serious damage.  Tubbo is being cautious, not out of guilt, but out of practicality.  He cannot be guilty for this.  If anything, he’s living up to Quackity’s expectations.  This was why he left, wasn’t it?  He saw the bits of Schlatt bleeding through as Tubbo took his place?
“If anyone gets hurt, I’ll fucking break you, do you understand me?” Tubbo says sharply to the remaining men.  “I will break every bone in your body and then I’ll end the job with a bullet.  We damage property, not people.”
No one here respects him.  Tubbo can only pray their selfish self-preservation will be enough to keep them in line.  Tubbo needs this to work.  He needs to back up his words with not just blood, but money as well.
Tubbo looks over at Jack.  If he had his way, Jack wouldn’t be here.  At the same time, he doesn’t think he can do this without him.  He wants to ask Jack if he’s ready, but he cannot show that type of caring in present company, so instead he walks across the street and enters the casino.
Quackity looks up the moment the door opens, and he knows exactly what’s happening.  He’s seen it often enough from the other side of things.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Quackity hops over the bar, almost wiping out as his cracked rib protests sharply, but he’s on a mission.  That is, to put himself between these fucking morons and his casino.  “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?!”
Tubbo’s prepared spiel of warning is stopped sharply as he sees Quackity’s bruised face, the thin cuts not yet scabbed over on his hands.  “What happened?”
Quackity too stops in his tracks, staring at Tubbo’s bruised jaw.  He can see where the rings made indents in his skin.  “Me?  What the fuck happened to you?”
Both of them frozen with the same thought, the same confusion, not at the bruises on the other’s face, but at the source.  He’s dead, so, how did this happen?
Both of their roles are briefly forgotten, staring at their injuries, baffled and even openly concerned, but it’s shattered soon enough.  Literally shattered, as one of Tubbo’s goons shatters the row of clean glasses on top of the bar.  At least he didn’t touch the alcohol.
“What the fuck?!” Quackity snarls, turning on a man twice his size.  Foolish, wide-eyed, grabs onto his boss’s arm, holding him back.
“Um, maybe better not, Quackity,” Foolish says, voice slightly higher as he knows everyone in the room is definitely armed.
So Quackity turns on a target more his size.  “You’ve lost your fucking  mind!” He shoves Tubbo back.
Tubbo ignores the dig.  “I have given you time to think, Quackity.  And now we have to get down to business.  If you don’t… accept my help, my protection, I will ensure Las Nevadas’ opening… well, let’s just say I’ll make sure it goes off with a bang,” Tubbo says with a mild, polite smile.
“Do you want me to call Sam?” Foolish asks.
Quackity doesn’t turn his gaze away from Tubbo, but replies nonetheless.  “What the fuck is Sam gonna do?  Call the cops?  Tubbo will be long gone by the time they get here and I don’t need them nosing around either.”
“So… so what do we do?” Foolish jumps when one of the tables he’d picked up a few days ago is flipped.
Quackity says nothing.  He does not flinch when one of his brand new card tables is smashed by a sledge hammer.
Tubbo keeps one eye on his men, but he returns his focus to Quackity.  “Yeah, Big Q.  What are you gonna do?”
Quackity feels the familiar, sour taste of humiliation rise up like bile in the back of his throat.  None of this is new.  It’s some bastard so terrified of seeming weak, he breaks what little belongs to Quackity to feel better.  Quackity isn’t able to put a stop to it, he isn’t allowed.  He’s supposed to stand there, and be docile, and maybe he’ll be rewarded with keeping the wreckage.  And of course, of fucking course, the man responsible this time around shares the same blood as the last.
“What the fuck happened to you?  Huh?  What, did the power already go to your head?  Still, this is fucking low.  Especially for you,” Quackity spits bitterly.
“This is low?” Tubbo tilts his head, assessing Quackity.  “Well, I’d hate to hear your thoughts on my plans for the grand opening.”
Quackity steps up until he and Tubbo are nose to nose.  “I fucking dare you, Tubbo,” his tone softens into something more dangerous.  “Just go ahead and try to ruin this for me, and I will fucking destroy you.”
Tubbo doesn’t step back, instead, he raises an eyebrow, scanning the room and the damage done, deeming it sufficient.  Quackity realizes with a twist of strange unease, that Tubbo is taller than him.  He doesn’t know when that happened.  Tubbo has spent so much time trying to make himself smaller, maybe he’s been like this for a while and Quackity just never saw it.  Quackity steps back.
Tubbo doesn’t engage with Quackity’s threat, proceeding as matter-of-factly as possible.  “I will give you until the opening to back down, to agree to give us a cut.  And in exchange, we’ll offer protection.  I mean that, not just protection from, well, us, but from everything, from the Badlands, from the other casinos, from all of it.”
“Why the fuck would they be a problem for me?”  Quackity is wary.  There’s no reason for Tubbo to know about the Badlands visit, not unless there’s a mole, and considering the company he keeps, that’s not unlikely.
Tubbo shrugs.  “I think it’s a safe assumption, at least enough to be worried.  I want to protect you, Quackity.  From all of it.  I hope you’ll let me.”
“You’ve lost your fucking mind.  You know who you sound like, don’t you?”
Tubbo briefly looks impacted in some way, a flash of hurt and anger he’s quick to bury.  “Don’t you dare say it, Big Q–”
“You sound like Schlatt,” Quackity spits viciously.
Tubbo buries the urge to shout at him, to sound weak and hurt, instead he proceeds with icy composure.  “Interesting from the man building the most predatory business in the city, hm?  He was the one preying on innocent people and taking their money, and what exactly is it you’re doing?  You know what kind of harm this could do–”
“No, no you don’t get to make that fucking comparison, it’s nothing like what he did–”
“You ended the prohibition, Quackity!” Tubbo shouts at him, sharp and almost shrill; for once there’s that hint of childishness that should be there for someone so young.  Quackity falls silent.  Tubbo continues, voice trembling, clinging to an ounce of calm.  “You ended it.  The Mayor did, whatever, you made that happen, Big Q.  I know you did.  And I know it hasn’t exactly been contained in this city before now, but I dunno, maybe it never brought you any comfort knowing if Sch–” Tubbo stops when his voice breaks, mouth a thin line.  He drums his fingers on the desk.  “Knowing that even if they couldn’t get him for anything else, sometimes it was nice.  Thinking he could’ve spent a night in jail for drinking on a bad night.  And you know he’s not the only man like that in this city.  I fucking guarantee you made someone’s life harder.”  Silence.  Quackity doesn’t say a word, he can tell Tubbo has more to say, and there’s something in the past eight years that despite everything means Quackity will let him say his piece uninterrupted.  Tubbo does.  “You were stuck there too, I know, but that was my home my whole life.  It’s different.  And I know we can’t blame everything that man was on the alcoholism, but–” Tubbo sighs heavily.  “I dunno, maybe I thought the prohibition was one thing this city had done right.”  Tubbo’s anger returns.  “I thought you of all people might understand that, and not forsake it for your profit margins.”
Quackity hadn’t expected that.  He doesn’t know how to protest it in good conscience, despite the damage Tubbo has done.
Tubbo straightens his tie, loosening it slightly.  He takes a deep breath.  “You have until the opening to get back to me, otherwise, there won’t be an opening, understood?”  Quackity doesn’t reply.  Tubbo understands.  “Alright.  We’re done here.  Lads?” Tubbo nods them back to the door.  He gives Jack another nod, indicating he wants him to leave too.  Tubbo knows Jack will want to have words with him about all this.  He’s not looking forward to it.  Tubbo waits, hands in his pockets, for the others to exit, watching Quackity with a carefully shielded expression.  For a moment, it’s just the two of them, Foolish mumbling something about getting a broom for the glass and Jack having left with the group.
Tubbo turns to leave.
“Hey,” Quackity grabs onto Tubbo’s arm, stopping him from leaving, staring Tubbo down with a promise weighted with blood, “if I go down, you go down with me, got it?”
Tubbo stares back, calculating and still too calm.  He replies, easily, as if this is exactly what he expected.  “Yeah.  Thought so.”  Tubbo pulls free from his hold on his arm and leaves him.
Quackity doesn’t know what to do with that.  So he can only assess the damage, and decide what lengths he will take to protect what remains.  He's not proud of it, but maybe Bad's visit has him a little inspired.  If Schlatt taught him one thing, nothing quite as effective as a hostage.

Hiiiiii Cyn!!!
Ok for your store shifted au, since you said you have a lot of info I’d like to know:
A character you want/plan to add to the story.
A random head canon you don’t know how to add but really like
If it hasn’t been said(because I forget lol) how Tommy and Tubbo met?
How the dream team met
If Dream and Wilbur’s rivalry is going to result in a certain reveal at all👀
And basically just ramble about anything you’d like to share because I want more store shifted info :3
Thanks and have a lollipop 🍭
OK THANK YOU FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS BECKYYY
Ok so the character i’m really trying to add rn is George. I wanna write something about him and his lore without giving too much away, cause y’all don’t know much about him. Some people have sent guesses based on the whole thing i wrote about Dream’s childhood best friend “Gogy” and his current long-distance boyfriend (and i’m gonna re-write that cause i wrote it before i decided on some very significant plot stuff like the language barrier so i wanna make that make more sense), but very few people have figured it out yet 👀
At some point i’m gonna write about how borrower colonies work in this au, cause that will hopefully become important later, especially since there’s some new characters to introduce that don’t live at the store.
And Tommy and Tubbo! They’ve known each other since they were toddlers. Tubbo was abandoned in a house when he was little and Tommy’s parents were never home much with their work, so they found each other pretty quickly. Since they were both pretty little they didn’t think much of it, Tubbo didn’t have the “humans are bad and will kill you” mindset and Tommy didn’t have the “i need to trap the tiny person and figure out what it is” mentality. Both of them met and basically went “oh my god friend :D” and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They grew especially closer after Tommy’s incident that turned him into a shifter. Tubbo helped him learn how to handle being small and how to get around.
Ok so this is kinda getting into spoilers, so i’ll just say the Dream team have all met each other, but never at the same time and they don’t know they all know each other 👀
I guess for Wilbur and Dream, maybe? I’m very tempted to have Quackity accidentally be revealed and for Wil to use him and threaten him to get what he wants from Dream, cause, like, angst, but Q already has his shenanigans with Foolish that i haven’t talked much about so idk, but certainly maybe.
Also if there was anything i wanted to ramble about it would probably be employees of each store. Dream’s store is a little shop opened by his mom, who’s now retired. He’s the manager, Punz is the assistant manager cause Foolish didn’t want to be, and Ponk is their pharmacist. I don’t know who else I want to work for the store, cause there are not enough people, especially compared to Wilbur’s.
Wilbur’s store is a small drug store-like shop that doubles as a restaurant. It has some outdoor seating but mainly just uses the back corner of the store as a drive through. Wilbur is the manager, Niki is the assistant manager, and also Ranboo’s older sister and guardian. Jack and Fundy work there as well and are usually in charge of the restaurant portion, even if Ranboo and Tommy almost never listen to them. Tubbo especially likes to knock things off shelf’s to hit them. Also needless to say Tommy and Ranboo work there.
Btw all of those are subject to change if i feel like it since they don’t really add plot, i just think it would be funny. I may add Hannah, Eret, Callahan, Shubble and Schlatt but idk yet. If i did i’d definitely need to put some in Dream’s store.
so ig if any of you have suggestions for characters for the stores lmk! and if you’re going “wait what about this person they seem like kinda an obvious choice?” they’re probably in the au already and you just don’t know lol

Simon Says: No Evil
by Nameling, QueenSibo
Tommy looked up from what had been his apartment bedroom to see a dark forest stretched around him. Between his anxious breaths and the whispering wind, the blond heard a familiar yet deceptive brotherly voice call to him.
"Let's play Simon Says again, Toms," the voice cooed. "It'll be just like when we first met."

Who's Lila is a psychological horror game by Garage Heathen, and the Dream SMP is a Minecraft server that's also a roleplay server. Author enjoys Dream SMP content (especially Crimeboys) and WL's horror elements so I fused the universes and started writing this. I'm one of those authors that likes to find beauty in tragedy, but also it's important to remember that it *is* tragedy and should by no means be seen as a good thing. I just find more comfort in darker writing. (This is starting with just a small prologue but the chapters will be much, much longer!) Anyway. Enjoy this hellspawn! :)

Salt burned your lungs as you tossed open your window with a loud bang, the seagulls perching on your flower boxes screeched in protest and flew from your window. “Fucking sky rats get the fuck out of here you heathens!” You snarled out the window shaking your fist at the bothersome birds, the sounds of the ocean crashing on the shore filled your ears as well as the chatter of the dock workers. You let the breeze blow back your hair and you heard someone calling your name from down below.
“Good morning (Y/n)!” You glanced below you and grinned,
“Morning Eret!” They waved back enthusiastically their dress spilling around their ankles, a basket of fruit was balanced on his hip. “Opening early today? I'm sure your patrons would be happy to start their drunken stupor early,” She held a hand to his mouth snickering and you shot them a look.
“If that gets more money in my pocket then so be it, I won't complain too much.” You shrugged, “Will I still see you later tonight?”
“Always do dove, how can I resist a drink from my favorite bartender.”
“You can’t it’s my charm.”
“Will the both of you shut the fuck up!” Another man’s voice growled from another open window, “It’s too early for your bullshit.” You saw Eret click his tongue but smiled up at you despite the man's protests,
“I’m heading to the market anyway. These fruits won’t sell themselves, I'll see you later.”
“See you soon!” You closed your windows once more, but not before urging your daisies to grow one last time. You tossed open the curtains allowing light to spill into your cozy home, a small carpet was in the middle of your room. It was a deep red and the pattern was made of gold yarn, aside from that everything in your residency was made of dark wood. Your shelves were littered with books and empty cups, and your old worn journal sat open on your desk. It was filled with childhood memories and you continued to write in it to this day, it was easier then, things were simple and everything was innocent and new to you. Now your days were filled with sea fairing idiots who liked to drink themselves stupid, but you could handle yourself, you always kept your father's dagger on your thigh at all times. Those who were frequent customers knew not to mess with you and those who were new learned their lesson within the first ten minutes of meeting you. You inherited the bar from your father, a kindhearted man who died a few years before today, leaving you with the bar and the dagger you had on your hip. You fished through your closet pulling out your clothes for the day, your dress was a gorgeous light coffee color and came down to your ankles. The bottom was flared and had dark brown panels on the sides, it faded inward to a light green then back to the coffee color. The corset around your waist was a dark brown with light green trim, you tied it tight with a small huff making sure your waist was sinched perfectly. The sleeves came down to your elbows allowing you to move your arms freely while making drinks. The top of the dress ended just below your collarbone, you strapped your dagger to your thigh before lacing up your knee-high black boots.
You thought back to your tavern downstairs, you were fortunate enough that you weren’t running this entire operation yourself. You ended up hiring help and they were like family and you knew they saw you as such as well. Most of the girls didn’t have a family of their own so you gave them room and board, also money, of course, you weren’t a terrible boss! You opened the door to your room, you watched Cecil, the tavern’s mascot trot out of Juniper’s room. The border collie liked to switch up which rooms he stayed in protecting every one of your girls when you couldn’t be there for them.
The first of your girls was Adelaide or Addie, she was one of the first to fall under your care. She was around your age, a motherly type, sheep hybrid, who cared for the girls, and always gave the drunk patrons with mommy issues a shoulder to cry on. Her long brown hair always hung down her back, she typically worked tables, served food and drinks, and always got a generous tip from patrons.
The next girl was Judas, a squid-enderman hybrid who was taller than you could ever wish to be, although intimidating you couldn’t meet a kinder woman. A jack of all trades the woman helped out wherever she could, black-ish purple hair curled around her shoulders and some people came specifically to hear her sing. Her voice was like rich velvet and lured men and women in like a siren.
Juniper was after Judas, a demon hybrid who was naive but you’d be a fool to underestimate her. She worked beside you at the bar, she can make some mean fruity drinks, Eret always preferred her drinks over yours. Freckles adorned her face and shoulders, her light brown hair curled down to her middle back, purple horns sprouted from the top of her head. You wanted to adorn it with gold jewelry and you were saving up to gift some to her.
Yeti was a human woman like yourself, she didn’t bother with those who were rude or obnoxious. She kept to herself only really talking when she was spoken to or when there was an opportunity to crack a rare joke. She typically stayed on the sidelines, out of the scenes and Yeti liked to help Judas decorate her sets.
Zig was a kind young adult, they got along with everyone who came inside the tavern. Soft emerald eyes drew people in, and they tried to make sure tensions within the bar didn’t rise and start a fight. There would always be one or two that’s just natural, but one look at Zig and his magic words and they seemed to disperse, not wanting to hurt the kid’s feelings.
Vendetta was the tallest member of the group you had taken in, she was stunningly beautiful and didn't take shit from anybody. She was a guard dog if you will, making sure no one fucked with any of the girls in your tavern. While Zig did their best to keep people under control sometimes they couldn’t win. That’s when Ven would step in and ‘kindly’ escort them off the premises with or without force.
The youngest member here was Luvena. She was a moo-bloom hybrid with soft brown hair that sprouted flowers, her cow ears would twitch when she was excited and followed Addie around like she was her daughter. Addie took her under her wing and was training her to be a perfect little waitress, absolutely warming customers’ hearts. Luvena also loved to give out flowers, she was a fan favorite bringing new life into the tavern.
Cecil barked seeing his mama and scampered over to you, you poured food into his bowl as Juniper wandered into the hallway. Her head rested on the doorframe as she gave you a tried wave, “Morning (Y/n).”
“Morning Juni, We’re opening a little early today. Take your time I’m not expecting a big rush of bar patrons this early.” You assured her and she gave a sleepy nod,
“I’ll be down as soon as Ven’s out of the shower.” She yawned, “This beauty doesn’t come naturally.”
“Hardly darling you’re gorgeous just the way you are.” You reassured with a wink, Juniper flushed a little, happily laughing beside you.
“Just go wake the others will you, you flirt!”
Tossing your head back you gave a happy laugh heading down the hallway to make sure everyone was awake and ready to go for later. Addie and Luvena shared a room so she was in charge of waking up the youngest member of the tavern. Judas was already awake making breakfast for everyone when you headed downstairs, Zig was sitting on the counter beside her, they were the designated taste tester.
“Good morning Miss (Y/n)!” Zig chirped, the young adult hummed fondly, “Sleep okay?”
“Absolutely. What about you both? Thank you for making breakfast Judas.” You hummed fondly and Judas had a shy smile on her face.
“I slept well thank you.” Judas hummed softly, “Also it’s my pleasure. Want to make sure everyone’s healthy and alright.” She let out a little squeak as you wrapped your arms around her body, you barely came up to her chest,
“Judas please marry me,” You complained, “Your breakfast is always heavenly and you care for everyone. Please be my wife.”
“(Y/n)! Please.” She sputtered face turning a dark purple, Zig made a noise of protest and held his hand in the air.
“If she won’t marry you I will!”
“Zig! I’d be honored!”
Their entire face lit up with excitement and they hopped off the table to hug you tightly, you hugged them back and pressed a fond kiss to the top of their head. “I got to open up the tavern, you mind setting the table for me Zig?”
“Sure Miss!”
You sent Judas a kiss in the air which her face burned at, quickly going back to her cooking. You smiled eagerly and unlocked the door to the tavern, you shoved a bucket in front of the door to keep it open. The salty ocean air wafted through your nostrils and your eyes sparkled wondrously.
Today is going to be a good day.
Almost immediately a particular bastard caught your eye,
“You’re here early.” You mused raising an eyebrow,
“Heard you were opening early today sweetcheeks,” His voice was a low baritone, rough from years of smoking and drinking. Horns curled around his fluffy ears that stood out against his gruff exterior, he was a ram hybrid at its finest. “Figured I’d take the opportunity to get a special drink from my special girl,” He mused looking you up and down drinking in your figure. You scoffed at the retired man, he dressed like he was cosplaying captain jack sparrow, the gun’s in his belt just added to his costume and so did his large ruffled shirt, he was never one to forget his gold jewelry.
“Where’s Quackity?” You ignored him sitting him at his usual table, he frowned but you knew he was taking it as an opportunity to stare at your ass. He slid into the stool and put his feet up on the table, his boots were muddy but you could only control him so much. He was too much of a regular to get scared off by your threats and scolding.
“He’ll be in at his normal time. He’s not much of a day drinker, although can’t say I’m complaining. Having all your attention on me and all, considering I’m the only one in here. That being said, I’ll have my usual sweetcheeks.”
“Stop calling me that,” You scolded with a certain fondness that was reserved for the man. “You’re lucky you’re my favorite regular Schlatt,” you gave his ears a fond pinch and he bleated. He sent you a scalding look as you walked away, although the look soon fell as he got a good look at your ass once again.
“I’m your only regular sugar tits!”
“Schlatt feet off the table.” Addie criticized whacking his boots with a rolled-up menu, he rolled his eyes but dropped his feet to the floor. “You should know this by now, we go through this every day.”
“Yeah, yeah little lamb I’m on it. Judas here?”
“She’s always here,” She huffed spreading the menu down on the table. “Do you want your usual or something different? Should I get Quackity’s drink ready too?”
“Nah just stick with mine, for now, tell Judas I’d like to see her.”
Addie clicked her tongue and placed her hand on her hip, “fine. But if you’re just going to grossly flirt with her as you do with (y/n), then keep it to yourself.”
“You’re not the boss of me. Just because you look like an old hag-” The way she glared at him sent a chill down his spine, “shit babe take a joke will you.”
Eventually, people began to file into the tavern, as the morning faded into the afternoon and then into the evening. The tavern was bustling with life, Judas’s elegant voice traveled through the crowds and her voices seemed to float above the voices. Quackity joined Schlatt by his side seemingly irritated by a conversation they were having, Schlatt was about five drinks in at this point, which was much less than his usual, and Quackity on his second.
“What are they talking about?” Luvena asked swinging her legs as she sat on the bar beside you. Her moobloom ears twitching every so often as she tried to eavesdrop on their conversation,
“Vena it’s impolite to eavesdrop.” You scolded bopping her on the head lightly, she whined and rubbed the top of her head.
“I wasn’t!” She argued as you rolled your eyes, you looked over at the two men to find Quackity looking over at you. His hand was raised in the air, one finger was up summoning you to get him another drink.
“I’ll be back, why don’t you talk to Ven while I’m gone. She’ll keep an eye on you.”
“I don’t need a babysitter!”
“Good thing she doesn’t want to babysit your ass either, now shoo.” You motioned her to hop off the bar and she did so with a long, dramatic sigh. You looked over at Ven who gave you a silent nod, letting you know she’d watch out for the youngest member of your band of misfits. Meanwhile, you grabbed Quackity another drink and walked over to the two men at the table, “Someone order a drink?”
“Aye! Mamacita! Fancy seeing you here.” Quackity purred a bright smile spreading across his face seeing that you were the one to deliver his drink,
“Hey Big Q,” You greeted placing the drink in front of him, “You doing okay?”
“Better now that an angel walked into my sight,” He flirted and you rolled your eyes. “What? It’s true! You always brighten my day you know? Ow!” Schlatt hit his ex-first mate over the head,
“Take a breath lover boy. Thanks for the drink sugar tits.”
“You’re welcome, what were the both of you talking about if I may ask.” You hummed grabbing some of Schlatt’s empty glasses, an uncharacteristic frown came over both their faces. “Oh? Touchy subject?”
“Don’t worry about it, sweetheart. Just dishing out some old problems, most of which are better left unsaid.” He aimed that statement at Quackity, his jaw seemed clenched and Quackity’s brow furrowed in annoyance.
“Well I just want to remind the both of you,” You passed the tray of empty glasses over to Addie as she walked by, she took them swiftly. You grabbed the side of both their heads and pressed them against your chest, not that you knew but both men’s flushed to the tips of their ears. “No physical fights are allowed in this tavern. If one starts I won’t hesitate to kick your fucking asses. Got it?” They looked over your chest and locked eyes with one another, after years on the sea they could read one another’s facial expressions rather easily and at that moment they shared the same thought,
‘They should fight more often.’
“I said, got it?”
“Yes ma’am,” The repeated simultaneously as you pulled away,
“That’s what I like to hear-”
“(Y/n)!” Vendetta’s velvety voice called out from behind you, you turned and saw a group of newcomers file into your bar. Your body tensed momentarily,
Pirates.
Schlatt turned his head to follow your gaze and he tensed from behind you, “fuck me.” He growled and Quackity raised an eyebrow at his captain, he turned to look over his shoulder and his face lit up.
“Sapnap!”
The pirate who had a white bandana tied around his forehead glanced over at him and a smile lit up across his features. “Quackity? Is that you?”
“My man!” He stood up from his chair heading over to wrap the man in a hug, “I haven’t seen you in years, man.” You zoned out of their conversation eyes locking with a few of the other pirates who walked into the tavern. Vendetta and Addie both greeted them, but everyone who was under your care knew to keep their guard up around pirates. From what you could gather there seemed to be two crews, a crew of what only seemed to be two, Sapnap was included. The fire demon was still talking with Quackity, while the other man took in the view of the tavern, he had shaggy blonde hair, and had a few scars across his face. A porcelain mask sat on top of his head, a forest green cloak was around his shoulders, his hood was lowered around his neck. A sword was strapped tight against his hip and there was another dagger that seemed to be tucked against his side. His eyes gazed towards you and he winked teasingly with a coy smile, you scoffed looking over at Addie.
“Seat those two gentlemen yeah? Be careful, I’ll tell Ven and Yeti to keep an eye.” Addie looked at you, concern written on her soft features but she nodded. While Addie departed, you noticed Ven talking with the other group. Luvena was hiding behind Vendetta’s long legs, although a tall blonde boy seemed very keen on talking to her. You smoothed out your dress and moved towards the group of three, you eyed them up casually. The blonde looked to be around Luvena’s age, he had a shit-eating grin on his face and his uniform matched that of the second tallest in the group. The second tallest was clad in a light blue jacket with large golden buttons on the red collar. He had a cream-frilled shirt underneath and a black belt holding up his brown slacks, those were tucked into black boots. On his back seemed to be a guitar and was the only one of them not holding a weapon, but you knew better than to assume with pirates. His curly brown hair seemed to bounce every time he talked, he seemed to be the ringleader but there was no doubt that the real ringleader was the hybrid standing beside him. He was taller, on par with Vendetta in height, he had long pink hair that was tied in a ponytail on top of his head. A few pieces framed his face elegantly, there was no doubt he was the captain of the little crew that was in your tavern. He had a white shirt on with a deep low cut ‘V’ it showed off a good portion of his scared chest, around his shoulders sat a deep red jacket but his arms were outside of it and crossed over his chest. He seemed content on letting his second in command do all the talking, his red eyes were the only ones to meet yours. His head tilted upwards and before Vendetta could stop him he walked over towards you,
“You own the tavern?” His voice was a low monotone and it sent an array of pleasant chills up your spine.
“I do,” You raised an eyebrow crossing your arms over your chest, “Names (Y/n). You are?”
“Captain Technoblade of the ship Odyssey, I was hoping you had a few rooms and a table available. My brothers and I are pretty exhausted, we’ve been sailing all night.”
Brothers, they certainly didn’t all look alike, but then again you certainly had a mix of girls in your care. Your tongue swiped against the top row of your teeth, “Why don’t you and your brothers take a seat at the bar for now. Juniper will be happy to serve you, I’ll see if we have some free rooms available.”
“Thank you, once you return I’ll introduce them to you if you’d like,” Technoblade bowed his head before turning back to get his brother’s attention.
“I’d like that thank you.” You gave a nod motioning for Vendetta to follow you as you slid behind the bar with Juniper, Judas had also taken a spot sitting on the bar. You figured you’d let her know as well, considering she was another adult figure in the group. You knew either Juniper or Judas would fill in Addie considering the three were close. “Ven, can they be trusted?”
“Not too sure about the masked man, the one Quackity seems to be familiar with seems decent enough. He’s a fire demon though, could smell him from miles away, we all just need to be cautious.”
“Agreed,” Juniper added tapping her finger on her chin. “We should just try to curb all fighting if at all possible, what did the captain of the other group ask you?”
“They want a room, I’m about to check to see if we have availability. Thoughts on that?”
Judas let out a low hum her eyes followed both sets of pirate groups around the tavern, “I say if we have availability let them stay. They seem harmless so long as we don’t mess with them, which we’d never do.”
“Plus I can always stay awake to keep an eye on them.” Vendetta tapped her nails against the table,
“You sure.”
“As if I’d let anything happen to any of you, you’re my family.”
You all smiled softly, and you noticed Judas’s eyes widen, “Zig! Get that out of your mouth this instant!” She shot up from her spot and over to the person in question. The three of you laughed fondly at the nonsense, meanwhile, Juniper saw the three brothers sit at her bar. She moved away from you to greet them, you immediately could tell she was taken with the second eldest brother.
He seemed to be an absolute lady killer.
Vendetta ruffled your hair before going back to stand at her place by the door to keep the peace. You headed up the stairs to the rafters to check on the extra rooms you had, “Excuse me?” You tensed visibly turning around to face the man in all green. His eyes were mesmerizing, a fierce jade green to contrast his cloak, “Do you happen to have two rooms available?” The man held up two fingers to clarify his request,
“Do you usually start introductions with a blatant request like that?”
He chuckled a smile spreading across his lips, “I’m Dream and you gorgeous?”
“(Y/n), it’s your lucky day I’m about to check and see if any are available. My tavern is a hot commodity tonight.”
“Well, I can see why,” he spoke and you raised an eyebrow and tilted your head to the side.
“Oh?”
“It has the hottest owner around. Word spreads fast.”
You couldn’t believe this man was making your cheeks burn, he chuckled softly taking a step towards your figure. “Oh really, word spreads that fast on the open sea, Captian?” It was his turn to turn light pink, but he covered it up quickly with a chuckle.
“Touché.”
“I’ll get on that room for you and your friend. Take a seat, for now, this part is for guests and staff only you know?”
“So I have you all to myself?” He cheekily mused, he stepped towards you and before you knew it you were pinned against a wall. His hand suddenly brushed against your cheek, it was cold in comparison to your warm cheek. You felt Dream’s thumb brush against your cheek slowly, “You know...being on the open sea alone does something to a person.”
“Oh, I’m sure.” You mused pushing your forehead back against Dream’s, “All alone with only your crew with you.” Taking his other hand within your own you slid it up to your hip, you saw his entire face turn red as he stared down at your chest. “You’re probably missing a little love in your life, aren’t you Dreamy?” He nodded dumbly, his eyes still not leaving your chest,
Perfect. You weren’t going to let some pirate boy get the better of you.
He let out a grunt of pain as you spun him around and pressed his head into the wall with your elbow, your other hand has his pinned behind his back. “This hallway is for staff and guests only,” You purred in his ear before letting him go and swinging your hips before heading up the stairs fully. From behind you, Dream’s face was a deep, dark red and he had to clear his throat. Dream wasn’t going to let you go after that, I mean look at you, tough and able to hold your own, it awakened something inside him.
After checking up on the rooms you headed back down into the main hall, three-room keys in your hand. Glancing over at the scene in front of you, you saw Juniper dancing in the middle of the tavern the flirtatious brother at her side. Judas was sitting beside Schatt and Quackity at the bar, Addie was tending to Technoblade and the blonde at their little table. Dream and Sapnap were whispering to one another in the corner but still seemed to be enjoying the show. Vendetta was smiling softly by the door, beside her were Luvena and Zig both playing various instruments. You noticed Eret was also amongst the crowd, she had a brilliant grin on his face, it was flushed pink with alcohol and you smiled to yourself.
It was peaceful, and for a moment you forget half the patrons were scoundrels or pirates.
That was until the man dancing with Juniper locked eyes with you, his eyes lit up and he spun Juniper off into Addie’s arms. She giggled snuggling into the mother sheep’s arms, you heard a distressed “Juni! I’m holding glasses!” Before your vision was overtaken by the handsome flirt.
“Hello love,” He hummed, “May I offer you a dance?”
You were about to refuse but you saw Yeti, who finally made her appearance as it was getting closer to Judas’s set, giving you a big thumbs up “I’d be honored.” You responded taking his hand within your own, he pulled you out onto the dance floor and you felt his other hand politely hover on the small of your back. He allowed you to lean into his touch as he began to elegantly spin you around the dance floor, you were almost embarrassed to say felt like a princess. “Maybe I could get your name?” You asked above the music, “Since it seems you’re my dance partner this evening?”
“Wilbur Soot my love.” He hummed proudly, “The first mate of the ship Odysseus at your service. Plus I play music on the side.”
“Well now you need to play for us,” Wilbur twirled you around in a circle,
“Maybe one day. If you give me your name?”
“(Y/n) (L/n).”
“Beautiful name for a beautiful woman.”
“I was right.” You commented biting the bottom of your lip trying not to smile,
“About what?”
“You.”
“Ah? Already talking about me I see? Is my manliness and gentlemanly qualities that renowned?”
“Not exactly.” He picked you up slightly and pulled you into a low dip, “I was right in thinking you a nothing but a flirty playboy.” Wilbur almost dropped you, you squawked grabbing onto his neck. He began to laugh as you clung to his chest,
“Alright love. You caught me red-handed.”
Wilbur set you on your feet hands on your lower back, you were pulled close to his chest. “Can I buy you a drink?”
“I get them for free hon. I own the place.”
“Oh...oh.” He paled a little, “I didn’t fuck up our chances of getting a room did I?”
“Nah lucky for you and your brothers, I have you covered, same with your buddies over there.” You motioned to Dream and Quackity’s friend, Wilbur’s face paled as he felt the chilled room key get placed in his palm. “What’s your little brother’s name?”
“Tommy.”
“Tell them both we serve breakfast free from 7 am to 10 am.” He nodded as you walked past, Wilbur meanwhile turned to look at Technoblade. It seemed he had his red eyes on the couple the entire time they were dancing. He held up a room key, it was labeled 205; Technoblade nodded his head before leaning back and talking to Addie once more. “Dream!” You called throwing a hand up into the air, instead of Dream, Sapnap looked up he nudged Dream with his elbow. The man was now wearing his mask, but at least you could tell he was looking at you,
“Well hello, darlin’ you must be (Y/n). Name's Sapnap. Dream told me about you, so you have good news for us I hope?”
“Pleasure, I'm sure he told you all about me,” He nodded, his eyes taking in your body especially your ass. “Got you both a room key, your neighbors. Across from the other crew of pirates. Just don’t fight and we won’t have any problems.”
“You mean those jackasses are staying?” Sapnap complained loudly, looking over your shoulder at the other crew members.
“You both didn’t think you were the only patrons, did you? This is a business after all.” You, tossed the keys their way, Dream caught it with ease and Sapnap fumbled it only a little bit. After they were in their hands, you waved them off with a flutter of your palm you turned around to go speak with Judas about her set but before you could take a step you saw Schlatt stumbling up from his seat. “Ah shit,” You knew what was about to happen, you weren’t paying attention to the ram hybrid so who knew how many drinks in he was. You felt responsible, for a while you and Judas had been trying to help Schlatt with his addiction. You couldn’t help but wonder what exactly set him off for him to get this drunk, Quackity caught him in his arms with a grumble. The man was a drunken mess, and as you approached you could hear his slurred speech and could practically smell the alcohol on his breath. “Schlatt,” You spoke carefully and as soon as you got close Schlatt detached himself from Quackity and lunged at you. His head was buried in his chest, he almost purred like he was very happy to be there, you rolled your eyes and ran your fingers through his hair. You were mindful of his horns but he seemed pretty eager for you to touch them,
“(Y/n).” He whined although it was muffled against your ample chest, “Why do pirates have to fuck everything up?”
“What are you on about Schlatt? No one likes pirates.”
“They’re gonna take you away from me, sugar. You’re my safe space, this tavern is my safe space.” You sighed listening to his drunken ramblings, you grabbed his horns and pulled him away from your chest.
“This is my life Schlatt, I’m not going anywhere trust me. Plus my family is here, they need me. So try not to worry okay?” You slicked back the hair on his forehead before planting a fond kiss there, everyone in the tavern narrowed their eyes at the scene. Even your girls were green with envy, at the sight of their lovely boss kissing someone who wasn’t them. He leaned against your lips eyes fluttering closed,
“Well, well, well if it isn’t Captian Schlatt? Or ex-captain if I remember correctly.”
“What?”
You turned your head and felt Schlatt’s arms wrap around your waist and held you close to his chest. The touch was protective and you felt your heart skip a beat, why was he protecting you, and why did you actually feel protected?
“Has the drinking finally caught up to you? Or was it the fact that you lost your so-”
Was that Dream's voice?
“Shut the fuck up.” He snarled and you were shoved behind him into Quackity’s arms, you felt less protected. “I’m not that person anymore and you fucking know that,” Vendetta came to stand beside the both of you a hand was placed on your shoulder protectively. You knew she was desperately wanted to step in and you held up a hand to stop her.
“This isn’t good…” Quackity murmured, “They’re going to fight. Schlatt’s going to get himself fucking killed.”
“Calm yourself. We won’t let it get that far.” Ven grumbled eyeing you waiting for your signal. But you were lost in the conversation or argument, the two were having, you couldn’t believe Schlatt was a pirate. He was so...he just didn’t...he was a drunk okay? That didn’t exactly shout feared pirate to you!
“Oh, are you sure? I remember that look, that’s the look you’d get before you stomped someone’s lights out. No wonder your son disappeared under mysterious circumstances-” Dream was shoved against one of the poles holding up the building. He grunted and Schlatt’s arm was pulled back ready to punch, but his arm was stopped by smaller hands,
“Pardon me Mr. Schlatt but you know how we feel about fighting in our tavern.” Addie bubbled, she had a smile on her face but it wasn’t kind, it was full of warning.
“Get the fuck off me, sheepie. This doesn’t fucking concern you.” Schlatt shoved her away and as soon as his skin made contact with her body he made a sound of distress.
“(Y/n)...” Addie murmured quietly, your father’s dagger was embedded in Schlatt’s arm,
“Fucking hell you bitch!” He snarled baring his teeth, you glared at him twisting the dagger he yelled in agony.
“Touch one of my girls again and next time this dagger is going right into your back.” You ripped the dagger out, splattering the floor with blood. He grabbed his arm tightly and looked at you with slight betrayal in his yellow eyes. “I mean it Schlatt, Quackity take him home.” The man nodded looking at you longingly, he muttered a quiet ‘Sorry’ before escorting him out of your tavern. “You,” You glared harshly over at Dream, “Go to your room.”
“You’re not my mother.”
“Then find another play to stay.” You spat, he turned away and you looked over at Addie, “Are you alright?” Your voice turned tender as you cupped her cheeks. She nuzzled against your palms and nodded her head,
“I’m fine. You didn’t need to-”
“Yes, I did. No one messes with you. With any of you on my watch.”
The sheep hybrid made a little sound as her bottom lip trembled, she wrapped you in a tight hug which you accepted without hesitance. Judas walked over next and wrapped you both in her arms, pretty soon you were surrounded by your girls and Zig.
All of them had the same mindset: comforting both you and Addie.
It was good to be loved.
Wilbur watched the scene curiously and glanced over at Technoblade who stood up from his chair.
“I think that’s our cue to leave for the night.” He looked over at his first mate, Wilbur nodded in agreement grabbing his guitar from the chair beside Technoblade.
“They...Techno were they talking about Tubbo.” Tommy whispered to his brother, his brow furrowing in concern as they all climbed the steps up to their room, “You don’t think-”
“It just might be Tommy.” Technoblade tilted his head to the side, “Guess that’ll be something we ask him when we get back to the ship tomorrow.”
“Well, this trip is going to be way more fun than I thought.” Wilbur snickered lighting a cigarette, taking a long drag, before letting the smoke curl out of his mouth and up into the rafters. ~~~

AU(s) where all the mod videos Tommy does, along with some other videos, are all alternate universes, and their residents end up in the SMP. Chaos ensues.
Voice Mod AU:
Universe where nobody talks aloud. They telepathically communicate, and the closer you are, the clearer and louder you are, unless you have the control the lower your mental voice.
Why?
Post-apocalyptic world(because Tommy said welcome to the new world at the start, and I too that and ran with it). They’re the new versions of humans, created after life returned on the planett, and the telepathy is a survival method, because outward noise draws predators, inner noise does not.
This also means they possibly have some other features similar to that. Like maybe Quackity’s duck wings being from some newly evolved duck species in the new world, Wilbur being a bit abnormally tall, or similar. I’m not sure.
Oh hey, no, Wilbur can be like a tree hybrid or something, cause Treebur.
Basically, evolution and telepathy.
Wilbur has a horse named Bert, he is speedy, and spends just as much time dragging his owner out of trouble than he does riding him into it.
The gang is basically just traveling the lands, exploring what’s about.
There are fish-horses, ender-horses, spider-horses, silverfish ponies, and horses that are somewhat like a breed between llamas and sheep in the world.
There are a lot of new horse breeds.
The Quackity of this universe wears clothes a lot like Manhunt Dream’s, hoodie-wise, but it’s all bright blue, and his mask has the :] face on it.
Size Mod AU:
Universe where people can shift and change sizes, though only to certain ones.
For example, Wilbur’s stuck small. He can shift to the size of a small dog, height wise, or that of a flower, but he can’t get big. Quackity can go smaller than Wilbur, or literally bigger than the Enderdragon. Both Tommy can be normal sized, or big, and Phil’s can be about the size of a tree, or become the size of a small mountain.
They all live in a nice house in the plains and spend their time terrorizing the locals.
Wilbur has a little house within the house, and he uses his size to cause havoc more often than not. Quackity is equally guilty of this.
Sometimes when the kids are being particularly bad, Phil puts the smaller ones in a compost bin and holds Tommy off the ground until he starts behaving.
Quackity’s a follower of the Blood God. Not to Techno’s length, but he goes and kills rabbits for him, and dedicates the chaos his giant form causes to the guy. In return, the four always have a flourishing harvest, and Quackity’s absolutely mean in battle.
Wilbur sleeps in one of Tommy’s old shoes that he stole and made into a bed.
Honestly, Wilbur’s kind of like the house mouse. He steals stuff and vibes in his little home in the walls. The cats that occasionally slip in try to eat him a lot too.
Wilbur and Quackity are bird hybrids, Tommy’s a zombie hybrid(cause he’s fighting a zombie and saying ‘I burn’ at that little bit), and Phil’s an iron golem hybrid.
Quackity and WIlbur have little bird-houses set up around the area for them to dart into and hide if anything comes after them.
They all met when tiny Q and Wilbur tried to rob Tommy and Phil. They succeeded with Tommy, but Phil was less than impressed at the attempt. Somehow it resulted in them all sharing a house.
Dragon Mod AU:
Universe set in more medieval-themed world. Phil, Quackity, and Tommy are dragon hunters. Wilbur’s a mischievous dragon sorcerer who enjoys shapeshifting into a dragon to mess with people. The hunters were originally sent after him, but spent more time frantically running for their lives while he laughed at them.
Wilbur’s actually good friends with the actual Enderdragon, who he calls Keithette. It was with her blessing that he decided to pick on the hunters.
He just spends all of his time messing with them. That’s all he does. He messes with them. It’s originally more malicious, which means they had a ridiculous amount of deaths, but they eventually all grew fond of each other, so now it’s more playful.
He helps them find treasure and scares off rivals.
Tommy’s a trained medic.
Quackity and Wilbur are...something? It’s a Skephalo situation. They could just be very affectionate friends, or they could be dating, or they could be messing with everyone. Nobody knows, and everytime they think they’ve figured it out, the two seem to magically know and do something to throw them off.
They’ve confused many, many people with their antics.
(They’re probably messing with people though, because they definitely know what they’re doing)
When the actual Enderdragon and her egg mysteriously went missing, Wilbur rounded up his friends and asked for their help in finding her-so now the group is on a quest to find her and return her to the End.
Natural Disaster Mod AU:
Universe where world ending natural disasters just keep happening. It killed off a lot of people, but honestly, at this point, it’s been going on for years, and those that remain are pretty used to it.
Tubbo and Wilbur are followers of the Mule God, and were brought together by him. Jack and Tommy are two good friends who came together to survive. And Phil’s a top-tier survivalist who keeps an eye on the four, mostly because he’d feel bad if they died too often while they live in the area.
Though they’re all three different groups, they stick together and help each other out.
Tommy and Tubbo were childhood friends before the disasters separated them. A young Jack found Tommy and took him in, and Tubbo was saved and blessed by the Mule God. They’re still friends, but have somewhat grown apart with their differing lifestyles.
Tommy’s a penguin hybrid.
Tubbo and Wilbur have been known to try and scam people passing by, and they have tried this with everyone in the area too-the difference is the ones who stick around know better than to buy it.
Whenever Tommy wants to hang out, he declares he’s rescuing Tubbo, and steals him from whatever he’s doing. Wilbur has long since accepted that occasionally Tubbo is going to be stolen, and doesn’t even blink anymore.
Tommy wears green, and Tubbo wears red.
Storm riding is a favored sport of Tubbo’s, where you grab a hang glider and get swept up into the storm. Jack hates it, but often gets dragged along anyway.
Morph Mod AU:
Universe where shapeshifters are more common, and Tommy, Charlie, Phil, Schlatt, and Wilbur are all a clan of them.
They co-exist with humans, and actually protect the local villages they live close too.
They also spend a lot of time messing with people outside said villages, but that’s unimportant.
Charlie and Wilbur prefer to be aquatic creatures. while Phil transforms into whatever works better for the environment he’s in. Schlatt just does whatever, and Tommy usually sticks to human form, only shifting when he’s bored or he needs too.
Wilbur tried to transform into a horse once, while in fish form. He’s not sure what exactly happened, but long story short, he’s the reason for the myth of the hippocampus.
They have a house in the village, one out, and then general little areas meant for them in animal form.
Because shapeshifters are strongly group-oriented, they prefer to shift in pairs or groups. Charlie and Wilbur typically pair up, as do Schlatt and Tommy. Philza doesn’t really have that instinct as strongly, so he just stays close to them instead.
Laser Eye Mod AU:
Universe set in a futuristic setting, where, due to an ancient void deity becoming malicious, Tommy, Phil, Charlie, and Wilbur are selected to become plasma wielding cyber warriors(futuristic magical girls, basically) to fight back against such threats.
These four’s cybernetics were embued with magic to produce specific plasma that would be effective against threats.
Phil wields divine plasma, and it’s fired out from his cybernetic wings, which were implanted as a military experiment. He can even detach a feather to act as a plasma covered sword.
Tommy wields phoenix plasma, and it’s fired out of his cybernetic eyes, which were transplanted into him when he was in an accident young, rendering him blind. They allow him to see by scanning out the outlines of objects and areas, and feeding the image into his brain.
Wilbur wields soulfire plasma, which is fired from his prosthetic legs, which have a kind of mermaid-motif, with fins and all, and make him a fast swimmer.
And Charlie wields greekfire plasma, fired from his cybernetic arm-it can also fire slime-like globs that rapidly grow and incase the area they’re attached too.
Wilbur was actually the first selected for the program, but he went missing shortly after, stolen and controlled by the void deity, who turned him into quite the obstacle for the others.
They eventually rescued him from it’s control, and after he recovered, he joined the fight.
Endermen and endermen hybrids are common minions of the void deity-it seems to have End-based origins, being able to control them.
Lava Ravine Mod AU:
Universe where Phil, Charlie, Wilbur, and Tommy are all strangers, who get a mysterious invite to an unknown world. It seems like a lovely vacation at first, strangers aside, but things turn deadly when a seemingly normal ravine in the ground begins to grow, the lava inside it begins to rise, and our heroes find themselves unable to leave the world.
They soon realized they may have been selected for their ability to survive, but to do that, they’re going to have to all work together.
Tommyinnit originates from the world of RLcraft, Phil grew up in Hardcore Mode, Charlie is a fallen god from a world of chaos, and Wilbur has lived through a world like this before.
They build a giant glass and stone dome, and live within there, using their various skills to survive.
Wilbur pretty much knows how this world works to a T, and is able to predict when the lava will raise and how quickly. He knows how to survive and work around the heat.
Tommy and Phil have a variety of skills from their lives before, not limited to first aid and cooking.
And Charlie’s got a bit of godly power he can put to good use here, as well as many out-of-the-box ideas for what to do.
Charlie brought a card-game from his old world, and teaches Wilbur how to play. It becomes a favorite past time of theirs.
Jump Mod AU:
Universe where enhanced individuals have recently begun to exist. Tommy, Wilbur, and Quackity are some of many who choose to use their new abilities for their own gain, becoming thieves. They were taken under the wing of master thief Philza, who was in the game long before he gained his new powers.
Or, well, they were thieves. A job gone wrong resulted in them being caught by authorities, and forced into a deal. Once thieves for their own gain, now they’re agents for the government, stealing back what was stolen from their country.
All of them are generally more physically enhanced, with agility, endurance, and all that jazz. But they also have other abilities.
Tommy’s faster than anyone. Wilbur can refract light, essentially becoming invisible. Phil can communicate with birds. And Quackity can change the density of anything he touches, himself excluded.
Philza was actually caught because he stayed behind for his new partners. He had realized someone was looking into them, and didn’t want the younger ones going into that alone.
TNT Mod AU:
Universe where everyone is a mob hybrid, and they live divided in tribes. Tommy, Phil, Charlie, and Wilbur are a tribe/keg of creeper hybrids, who protect their territory, and cause havoc for any trespassers who happens upon them.
No one dares settle there, because these four are just as likely to swear a village’s protection as they are to laugh as they set it ablaze. It’s purely up to how they feel at the moment, finicky keg that they are.
However, there is a reason some do venture here.
Every tribe/(name for grouping of specific mob) guards a certain treasure. For the creeper boys, it’s an orchard of apple trees that grow, not only red apples, but gold ones too-and rarely, a god apple.
If you do happen to stumble upon their territory unintentionally, your best bet is to appeal to Wilbur, as he does have a soft spot for people-of course, you’ll need to make sure none of the others think you’re taking advantage of that soft spot, lest they slowly and painfully kill you for even considering it.
Creepers are very friendly to them, and see them as one of their own. Other mobs, not so much.
The orchard is surrounded by a dense forest, that’s abruptly lets up to a clearing that rings around it. This is where the keg lives, in high tree houses all connected to one another.
Their forest is their pride and joy, and it’s filled with many exotic trees and plants from around the world. Bringing them an addition for it is a sure way to assure your survival, and even gain an alliance, if it’s a really good addition.
Likewise, messing it up even slightly will immediately get you murdered.
Black Hole Mod AU:
Universe where the sun exploded and became a black hole that’s slowly consuming the world. Though many perished, some survived, with the advanced technology in the future.
Wilbur, Charlie, Phil, and Tommy are some of those survivors.
Charlie is a scientist, studying the black hole to see if there’s anyway to perhaps stop it, or survive within it once it consumes them.
Phil’s a former mercenary who came to the lab with Tommy, after finding the young student stumbling about the remains of a city.
Wilbur’s the former on-board scientist from the crew that first encountered the black hole. He was originally presumed dead, but suddenly reappeared one day, and was found nearby by Phil, who dragged him to the lab. He’s...different. He’s seen things.
Charlie and Wilbur graduated from the same university, and were actually working in the same lab before Wilbur joined his crew in space for an up-close study.
Philza has a bad habit of adopting any creature he finds, and it’s become something of a joke by the four. He adopted Tommy, he’s adopted Wilbur and Charlie, and he has quite a few birds and other creatures that followed him back.
Body Shuffle Mod AU:
Universe where glitches a common sight, and humanity has evolved alongside them.
The world basically...well, I wouldn’t say revolves around? But glitches are a large part of life at this point, and players have specifically evolved to be able to work with them.
A common glitch includes the Body Glitch, where random body parts will seemingly vanish off a person without causing them harm or effecting them.
Tommy and Charlie are Takers, people who have a special, glitch-specific gene that allows them to take a glitch effecting a being or item, and pull that effect from said being/item, and upon themselves.
They’re equally loved and hated, considering the rarity of the gene, and what uses it could be employed for.
The two have a business that they use this ability to take and relocate glitches for various purposes.
Philza and Wilbur are the two’s bodyguards turned friends, who protect them from less savory people, and suss out the ones with bad intentions.
Gas Mod AU:
Universe set in a modern fantasy world where a mysterious gas suddenly overtook the planet. Many died. A few survived-but for some of them, that was the crueler fate, as the mysterious gas began to make them monsterous creatures that sought flesh and blood.
Tommy, Charlie, Phil and Wilbur are the scattered survivors in a city overtaken by the gas, banding together to fight back the monsters born from the green fog, and stay alive.
Wilbur was formerly a cartographer on a ship. He’s also half siren, and his most priceless possession is a diamond dagger given to him by his former captain.
Charlie is a doctor, as well as a wizard. His magic pet is a slime-like dragon. Yeah, he’s not sure where the little guy came from either.
Phil got a whole cocktail of heritage, but most are sky-related, so he’s got a strong grasp on air magic, which he uses to create safe bubbles for the gang to breathe freely.
And Tommy’s a low tier human-turned demon after death- an imp, basically. He causes havoc.
They all have to wear gas mask, which are heavily enchanted to keep the gas from affecting them.
The group basically just has a weirdly domestic life in the abandoned city, after they cleared out an abandoned apartment building to chill in.
Surgery Mod:
Universe where the gang are the experiments of a mad scientist having escaped.
Tommy is a poison-based experiment, Wilbur is a Nether-based one, Philza is an End-based experiment, and Charlie is an Over-world based one.
They were all grouped together in a cell because the older three are part of the Dimension Project, and Tommy accidentally imprinted on Wilbur when he was created, meaning he would have died if he was separated from him.
The four eventually decide that they hate this life, and stage a break out with the rest of the guys experiments.
Once they escaped, they decided to travel the world as a family, exploring everything they’d never had the chance to see, and finding where they belonged in this place.
Lava Floor Mod AU:
Universe where all the oceans in the world have been replaced by lava. For Ninja, Tommy, Wilbur, and George, their get-along vacation goes south when they’re stranded alone on a chain of distant islands, far from any sign of civilization.
If they ever hope to survive, they’ll have to put their issues to the side and work together to get to the one place unaffected-the Nether.
Tommy ‘Smokes’ Notfound, and Wilbur ‘Soot’ Fortnite are the two children of the struggling couple George ‘Specs’ Notfound and Ninja ‘Bow’ Fortnite, who haven’t seen each other in years, despite still being married.
The two, knowing how close their kids were, agree to meet up so the two can hang out, which is why they ended up on this vacation on the first place.
Wilbur and Smokes would really appreciate if their parents could get along too-it’d make vacation a lot nicer without all the tension. And yes, they could worry about all the oceans turning to lava, but they won’t. Instead, they’re going to be gremlins who try to get their parents to make up, whether that means divorce, or becoming a happy couple again.
Rising Void Mod AU:
Universe where the planets are being eaten by the void. Tommy, Philza, and Quackity are all aliens who managed to escape the demise of their home planets, and crashed landed on Earth, with the intention of warning them of what was coming.
Unfortunately, the only guy around for miles is Ranboo, a conspiracy theorist who prefers his isolated mountain cabin to the city...and also is in complete denial about the existence of aliens, even if they’re standing right in front of him.
Quackity is from a planet where ores and gems have a large part of fashion culture.
Tommy’s planet was the first to fall. However, Quackity was the one who was closest to be touching, and it leaves side effects-like him occasionally hearing it’s eldritch whispering calling for him to surrender himself to it and stop fighting-
But, y’know. It’s fine. It’s all good.
(Although he does happen to be the most aware of their inevitable fate, and uses humor to cope with the knowledge that no matter how hard they try, he and these people he’s grown to care for are going to die, and there’s absolutely no way to stop that)
Sky Grid Mod AU
Universe where Ranboo is a young, lonely god born to a grid-formed world. Though he has made many interesting creations, he decides he wants someone like him. Who can listen, and answer, and love, and hate.
And the universe loves him, so it answers.
It finds two souls who’ve died too young, and puts them into his hands to mold as he wishes. One, he creates in colors of green, like grass, and emeralds, and poison alike. The other, he creates in colors of red, like lava and poppies, and warm beds.
Their names are Tubbo and Tommy, and they’re different than what he thought they’d be. They cannot be controlled or remade, but they can bleed, and they can laugh, and most importantly, they can make choices.
And they choose to love him, taking him in their embrace as a friend, treating him kindly, and as one of their own, regardless of his power or abilities.
The three make a home in the gridded world, finding themselves and never fearing the fall, because the world loves both it’s godling, and the people made within it.
Terraforming The Moon AU:
Universe where the remains of humanity have fled to the moon upon the destruction of earth. They unintentionally awake age-old space deities, who, luckily for them, feel like lending a hand-mostly.
Wilbur is the only actual deity of the moon, but the rest of the SBI spend more time there than they don’t, because humans are interesting.
Tommy’s the youngest god, a deity of the stars within their young galaxy-it’s a position that was passed onto him by the former star deity, Clara.
Technoblade is the deity of both Mars and Venus. He’s actually been to Earth a few times before it’s destruction, and finds their cultures fascinating-particularly the Greek and Romans.
Philza is the god of the End. The oldest, he’s not just a deity, he’s a primordial of the end of all things. Truthfully, it was the very end of Earth that awoke him from his slumber, and it’s former inhabitants interesting lives that keep him awake.
They all pick a human to favor, and help out. Changes on the day.
Honestly, they aren’t necessarily malicious? They don’t really consider the fact that humans don’t have the same limitations and powers as them, so occasionally they fuck something up that somebody worked hard on, and don’t understand why they don’t just fix it already, not realizing that the humans actually have to take awhile to do that.
One Hundred Player Laboratory AU:
Universe set in modern time.
Wilbur and Technoblade are two university students trying to do a study for their finals-unfortunately, the rats they were supposed to use are both oddly sentient, and incredibly chaotic.
Techno and Wilbur are doing a study of behavior, and other scientific things. To do this, Techno has built a large, complex maze/building thing.
And Wilbur purchased a bunch of rats-except, he probably should have been a bit more careful who he bought from, becomes these rats definitely understand human speech, are all not normally colored, and desire to be as annoying and detrimental to their grades as possible.
To put it lightly, it’s not going well.
George’s If You Laugh You Lose Rematch AU:
Universe set in a chaotic, light-hearted world.
Sapnap, Karl, George, and Dream are some of the world’s residents.
Karl and Dream are chaotic shapeshifters who enjoy messing with George.
Sapnap’s a mischievous nether spirit who likes to team up and help them do it.
Karl can shift into objects, and Dream can turn into animals.
The whole world is comedic, and all it’s residents have a permanent case of the giggles-to the point of making a game of how long one can hold off laughing.
Sapnap usually takes the form of an enderman or enderman hybrid

Sooo sorry if you've done this before, but what about like a Minecraft Storymode AU? Like maybe with Sparklez, Philza, or other people as the Order of the Stone? Maybe Dream as the Admin in season 2?
Oh god. What have you done. You unlocked the inner Storymode in me. Oh god why.
Alright, first things first. We’re going to pick up the plot, put it in a blender, and throw it off the bridge. We going to maintain some plot but we’re going to do stuff a bit better. Why? Because I want good writing and I also may want some extra angst in here.
Onto ideas in bullet points because I can’t think of anything else and I can’t think of things in long sentences now.
-Tommy, Tubbo, Purpled, and Ranboo are the protagonists of the story. They all live in one treehouse and generally get along
-Tommy and Tubbo are childhood friends and built the treehouse and had discs play when they finished making it :]
-Ranboo just showed up one day with no memory on how he got there. Tommy and Tubbo said friend and let him into the treehouse
-Purpled just showed up one day and he has not stopped showing up ever since that meeting
-They all have some sort of thing associated with them, Tommy has the discs, Tubbo has a bee plush from the Captain, Ranboo has his memory book, and Purpled has a gold chain that used to belong to Punz
-Wilbur, Techno, Phil, the Captain, Eret, and Schlatt are all apart of the Order of the Stone. They all split though after an incident that lead to the Captain and Phil disappearing
-Fundy and Niki are the in the role of Lukas but with some changes. Fundy has daddy issues and is bitter towards Wilbur but is friendly to the kids. Niki is friendly but you can tell she doesn’t like Tommy too much
-Wilbur visits the kids a lot as well as try to go and talk to Fundy. He has to make sure that the four of them doesn’t start a fire and he wants to try and fix his relationship with Fundy
-Techno is the Ivor of the story. He unleashes a Wither and somehow a Wither Storm happens and that wasn’t part of the plan. Holy shit
-We going to go get alternate POVs for Tubbo, Tommy, Ranboo, and Purpled. They all have different ways to solve a problem. Tommy is going to steal and use violence, Tubbo is going to do things logically, Ranboo is going to try and appeal to a person emotionally, and Purpled would just bribe them. It’s entertaining
-They all have different goals as well. Tommy wants his family back together and getting along like before, Tubbo wants to find what happened to the Captain, Ranboo wants to know why he’s here and what’s missing in his memory, and Purpled just wants to try and move on from and make his (previously thought) deceased brother proud
-Fundy and Niki has accidentally adopted the kids after Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo dragged them all through the Nether Portal as Wilbur and Purpled stalled the Wither Storm. Whoops all found family
-Eret is in the end and just vibing and trying to find a way to get Phil and the Captain back.
-Schlatt has made a fucking business empire and oh boy is it big.
-Everyone has armor and weapons at the start because Purpled gave it to them as a paranoia thing and to protect themselves. So right off the bat, everyone has iron armor and swords. Mid way they get Diamonds and by the end of season one they all have Netherite
-Tubbo made nukes even before the whole story happened. No one knows why and are all scared of him.
-The old Order of the Stone is actually going to get plot beyond the first season for once and we’re going to go have Techno and Schlatt pretty much be the Ivors of the situation and making them go through character development
-The portal plot is still relevant here and you know what that means! It means that I’m going to go and fucking put so many Tales characters and I’m going to go and put the Badlands and Phil in the PAMA world. Or as it now is known, the Egg world.
-I’m conflicted on whether I should have the Murder Mystery be the Village that went Mad or the Masquerade. Maybe both. Yeah I love Ranbutler, Hubert, James, Robin, Catboy and Helga too much. Oh god.
-The Captain is going to be in the PvP tournament world and oh boy is it going to be intense there. However, they did not predict Purpled and Techno’s competitive ability in Bedwars and more
-I am very tempted to go and have Ranbutler and Hubert become main characters as well in this au. I love them but oh god will they fit in the story?
-The Badlands and Karl however are permanent additions to the team now after the group’s portal adventure
-Ranboo and Purpled are getting centric roles in Season 2
-Dream is less of a dick in here but still is one. He doesn’t manipulate kids but he’s still a dick
-Punz is a mercenary and oh boy Purpled punches him when he finds out that he’s alive
-He is also working for Dream but no one knows that so we’re going to have Purpled drag him along and we get sibling angst and we’re going to have them talk about their problems in the future
-Ranboo on the other hand is going to freak out about the fact that he used to work for Dream. It gives him a whole crisis and everything.
-Quackity was from the business empire Schlatt made and is currently making a name for himself in the political area. He is also going to be apart of the plot as him and Karl went and managed to convince Sapnap and George to turn against Dream
-Jack is also going to be dragged into this because of Fundy and Niki telling him that Tommy isn’t all that bad. Then one adventure later he’s in prison because of Tommy. He’ll warm up to him don’t worry
-Sam is the prison warden but is pretty much doing it against his will. Not fun. He tries to help everyone though

More timeline stuff!
- I forgot to put this in the last one, but imma say that Dream was captured by the Schlatts at age 6, in 2005.
- In 2010, Wilbur becomes a superhero at age 14, bc that’s Danny Phantom’s age.
- Also in 2010, Quackity, who was 10 at the time, gets kidnapped by the Schlatts. This can be changed around a bit if necessary/if I forgot something.
- In 2011, Dream, who was 12 at the time, escaped the Schlatts and went to live w/ George’s family. George would’ve been 15.
- The govt hero program tries to recruit Sam when he’s 17, in 2013. He becomes a solo hero instead.
- In 2014, Techno becomes a hero at age 15.
- In 2015, Antfrost becomes a hero at age 16.
- In 2016, Velvet escapes at the age of 16 and meets Sapnap, who is about 19 in demon years (he’s 20 in demon years at the start of canon).
- Also in 2016, Techno (age 17) makes what he still regards to be the greatest mistake of his career, accidentally killing Jack Manifold (age 14) in an explosion.
- The govt hero program’s pr ppl spin this to their advantage by saying that government regulated heroes are safer. This is demonstrably not the case. They had to manipulate a lot of data and charts to make this claim look remotely reasonable.
- Techno ends up founding the Syndicate initially as a way to hold himself more accountable by having other people he trusts to do the right thing nearby. Kind of like in fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, how Mustang made Riza promise to kill him if he ever goes to far.
- Okay now back to the other side of the story. Niki and Jack were actually childhood friends, long before either of them became villains.
- Also before either of them became villains, they found a couple of old arm bracers (y’know, like Wonder Woman’s arm things that she uses to deflect bullets) in Niki’s basement. One was blue and the other was red.
- Jack got the red one and Niki got the blue one, granting them fire and water powers respectively.
- Honestly they mostly just used them to mess around. They got into some trouble, but the worst crimes they did were like… vandalism, minor property destruction, and shoplifting.
- When Jack died, Niki was 15. She became a villain nearly immediately after. She had been hoping to attract Techno’s attention so she could fight him herself. Luckily, considering the fact that he had several more years of formal training and experience that she lacked, this didn’t end up happening.
- She inherited the red bracer when he died, but refused to use it.
- Niki also dyed her hair pink around this time.
- The Schlatts saw Jack and Niki doing magic stuff w/ their powers and stole Jack’s corpse for experimentation purposes.
- In the winter of 2016, Jack Manifold was resurrected by the Schlatts. (Well, actually, it might be just Schlatt singular by this point, but I haven’t actually nailed down the Schlatts’ timeline yet, so…)
- Schlatt and Co. can’t figure out how to recreate the resurrection process without Jack, so they keep trying to capture him. This carries on through the era of the show.
- In early 2017, Niki finds out about this and rescues Jack and gives him back the red bracer, and they become a Villainous Duo together.
- Also in 2017, Ponk, being an absolute fucking prodigy I guess, graduates medical school and becomes a doctor at age 17. I feel like there’s a lot more to be said about this and what it says about Ponk as a character, but that’s probably best saved for another time.
-🤺
Ok so, these are all fucking genius as always /gen I especially love Niki and Jack's story <333
And damnnnn so this is a TEEN Titans au XD
Regarding Quackity, age 10 is fine as long as the whole "Q and Schlatt were actually friends and had mutual feelings for a bit" stays >< Also, PRODIGY PONK LETS GOOOOOO!!

DSMP AVATAR AU
The James Cameron movie version
Terms:
Na'vi- the blue people
Pandora-the planet
Driver- one of the humans who posses a body (these are gonna be bolded)
Humans: Wilbur, Tubbo, Puffy, Schlatt, Punz, Sapnap, Purpled, Hannah, Quackity, Skeppy, Charlie, George, Ant, Jack, Connor
Na'vi: Tommy, Techno, Phil, Dream, Karl, Ponk, Sam, Ranboo, Foolish, Bad, Niki, Fundy
Basically, Tommy is a young Na'vi who is kinda fascinated by humans and ends up befriending Tubbo and Wilbur. This leads to more friendships forming. Schlatt is not happy with this, wanting Pandora's resources and ends up launching an attack which the Na'vi and basically every other named human fight off. Ranboo is his childhood friend and acted as the voice of reason until Ranboo met Tubbo. There's a lot more to this but it's late and my brain is shutting down.

Right, avatar au (sorry, went to sleep early for work)
It's sort of a mix between avatar and the little mermaid. So bad humans (Schlatt and technically Quackity though he switches sides) want Pandora's resources and are using the science investigation to cover it. Meanwhile, Tommy is a young Na'vi with an interest in humans. He drags Ranboo (A childhood friend) into it and they both meet Tubbo (one of the apprentices) and Wilbur (A diplomat kinda with a Na'vi avatar). Along with some other humans and Tommy's tribe, they stop Schlatt.
More Na'vi:
Sam- Tommy and Ranboo's guardian as both of them are orphans
Techno- one of the tribes best fighters and Tommy's idol
Dream- Tribe leader, hates humans
Phil- best Banshee flyer in the tribe
More humans:
Puffy- scientific team leader, has an avatar
Fundy- tech support, friend of Wilbur
Jack- pilot, friend of Wilbur
Charlie- scientist, has an Avatar
Foolish- geneticist, makes the Avatars
ohh dude...

Okay Okay so first we have the timelines that actually follow the dream smp
There's 4 of them and they are sorted by who I'm with in each of them
1. Niki - pretty canon compliment except I join the syndicate something after my revival
2. Sally - basically she left, I thought she died, she came back, I was dead, she left again, and the we finally reconnected after I got revived and we both joined the syndicate!!
3. Schlatt - we were childhood friends turned enemies and then we fixed our realtionship in limbo and after I was revived I tried to get him revived aswell. Also there was this whole thing where he was like friend the sheep when I was ghostbur uh yeah it's weird
4. Quackity - I think we started dating during pogtopia and then after I was revived I heard he had a casino and was like yooo and what there, we were more rivals to lovers then enemies
I was also in relationships with other people but most of them weren't permanent and and I'm not sure which dsmp tl they fall under.
There was Dream uh we don't talk about that, yeah we didn't work out
There was Eret, also didn't work out but were on goodish terms
Then I was in a queer platonic realtionship with Charlie and George
I also think I dated Jack but I'm unsure?
Next up we have Origins!!
This one is kinda crazy cause I'm not sure if I had multiple timelines where I was dating different people of if I was with all of them in one tl
The people in question r
Schlatt
Niki
Scott
And the Warped Fungus lady
I'm like 95% sure I was married to Schaltt at some point in the Origins tl and I also think that Scott and I were close as kids, but that's about it uh yeah
The next timeline issss what I like to call the Ghosthunters tl!
Basically Jack, Scott, Shubble, Emma Langevin and I were all kinda paranormal investigators and this was in a more modern world setting, like the 90s maybe.
I may have also been dating all of them idek at this point, I know Niki was also there, but she wasn't apart of our ghost hunting team. Everyone who was on the dsmp aslo existed and stuff
Fourth tlll! it was fantasy, may have loosely been like the Passerine fanfic, but I'm unsure
I do know i was married to Sally tho and I was a prince/king
5th tl! I don't know alot about this one but it was like a Superhero vigilante au
And the only relationship memories I have are of Dream and Eret maybe yeah
6th timeline wooo it's the Hogwarts one!
You know about this one already!
I know for sure I was with Sally in this one, possibly Niki and Schlatt aswell idk if it was multiple tls or again the same one
But yeah!
7th tls! Um I actually don't know at all but they are 2 argbur timelines
Yeah that's it idk what they are tbh
I think I knew schaltt in the first one
8th one! This one is so strange, it's based of the Movie "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou"
Except all the characters are dsmp and co
Basically I was a marine biologist type person, I was married to Sally and Schlatt and I had a sorta flirtatious rivalry
9th one! So uh this one is literally just The Lovejoy Cover music video of Knees Deep at Atp
I have like absolutely no info on this one yet
That's pretty much it!
Although I'm currently considering if I had a tl based on wilburs music (your new boyfriend and etc)
Idk tho
Oh and also Mcc was a real thing in some timeline but I have no clue when where and how so yeah
That's actually it! Haha thanks for listening to me ramble about me being a mess in all of my timelines lmao
Also this went way longer then I excepted it to sorry
-☕
RHOSE ARE SO COOL WHAT KSNFKLSDK /pos /srs
i don't mind at all !! i love hearing these things !! /srs
for the 8th TL : there are many benefits to being a marine biologist /j
