Just read your reassurance fic and fuckin loved it. Absolutely feral for price rn. Not sure if you're still open for requests, but i am a strong believer that price gives the best hugs, holds you to his chest for comfort, problemsolving kinda hugs, but maybe something happened and now its oc/reader's time to return the favour.

The mission was a disaster.

Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. It was as though the enemy was expecting them, and decided to make his defence ten times stronger, quicker, and more ruthless. It was clear that the mission was doomed for failure from the start, but they prevailed nonetheless; eager to complete their task.

The place was swarming with soldiers who were armed with weapons from head to toe. So were they, but no matter how armed their Squad seemed to be, the enemy soldiers had twice as many guns, and twice as many blades. They were like flies on a hot summer’s day, doubling at speeds that didn’t seem humanly possible, and before long, they were surrounded from every corner.  

Their hushed voices rang out through the comms as they considered their next course of action. Yet as Price was about to tell them to retreat - to evacuate because there was no way they would come out if this mission alive – it was already too late. Loud sirens rang out in their ears, and the rapid sounds of stomping boots made the hairs at the back of all their necks stand up. It went south too quickly for them to even attempt to deescalate the situation.  

Bullets rained down like hail, and it didn’t take a genius to know they would not be getting out of this scot-free, and none of them did. Some of their injuries were worse than others, but they all looked equally beat up, as though they were on the brink of death.  

It was barely an hour later that they were sat in the medical bay, with nurses and doctors running around them like headless chickens. Their frantic movements and hushed whispers made her head feel like a balloon ready to be popped, and she could only assume the others felt the same from the way their faces scrunched up with discomfort.  

Price was nowhere to be seen, having ran out the moment the nurses told him he was free to go. The Captain’s injuries weren’t as severe as the others, and that only seemed to worsen the guilt he was already feeling.  

It was Soap who looked the worst out of all of them, like Death himself was about to knock on his door and take him away. Yet somehow, with half of his face turned purple, and his left eye swollen shut, he still managed to send her a sweet smile the moment their eyes locked together.  

She sent him a sympathetic glance in return, hissing and flinching when a bullet was suddenly extracted from the flesh of her thigh. She almost glared at the doctor who pulled the metal out of her, but stopped herself when an anti-septic was wiped over the open wound, and another wave of pain made an anguished groan leave her throat. She could only sigh and wait for this to be over; to finally leave and get some time for herself.  

“Take this,” a nurse spoke with a sweet smile, giving her three small pills and a cup of water. Once she downed the medicine and emptied the small, plastic cup, the nurse nodded, “Good. Now, you get some rest, alright? You need it.”  

“Thank you,” she nodded, plopping down from her bed to leave the stuffy room. She winced with every limped step she took, but decided she would rather suffer than spend the night in the medical room because of a non-fatal injury.  

She wasted no time before making her way over to her room, welcoming the familiar smell with a smile on her face. The material that was soaked with her sweat and blood was pulled off her tired body, and soon replaced with something more comfortable. The new clothes were soft to the touch and didn’t stick to her bruised skin, making her sigh out in relief. She decided to wear something that would cover her up entirely, not out of modesty, but to hide the injuries from the captain’s guilt-filled eyes.  

After leaving her room and making another stop to brew two cups of tea, she began making her way down a long corridor. It didn’t take her too long to arrive at Price’s office, though the wound in her thigh definitely slowed her down somewhat. His door seemed to be locked shut, for when she pressed her elbow against the handle, it didn’t budge.  

With a small sigh, she knocked on the door with the rip of her boot, and waited for the door to be opened. Yet no sound came from inside the room; no gruff voice telling her to piss off; no sound of papers rustling, and no heavy footsteps making their way across the room.  

She exhaled sharply, eyes closing as she kicked the door harder than before. Some of the tea trickled down from the mugs, the steaming hot liquid burning the skin of her finger. She ignored the burning sensation, instead focusing on the man who she knew was on the opposite side of the door.  

“Sir, I need to speak with you,” she spoke out loud, hoping the sound of urgency in her voice would get him to open up. But alas, the silence continued. “Captain-” she looked around her, making sure there was no-one there to hear her next words, “John… please let me in.”  

That seemed to get him moving, as only a few seconds passed before the door was pulled open. She walked in without waiting for permission, and placed the two hot mugs on his desk. Her eyes were quick to notice the scattered papers on his desk, his handwriting turning frantic on some of them.  

Her eyes soon settled on the bearded man who walked around the desk and sat down in his chair. He had a blank look in his eyes, and she slowly sat down on the chair on the other side of the desk. She moved one of the mugs closer towards him, but he made no attempt to reach for it. His eyes didn’t even glance down to look at it.  

“John,” she spoke slowly. Softly.

He didn’t look at her, and she swore his eyes were avoiding eye contact at all costs. There was a dark bruise forming on the apple of his left cheek, the skin turning a dark purple, mixed with a sickly yellow. A deep gash also decorated his clavicle, the skin red a raw, yet the wound was not deep enough to require stitches.  

She could feel her heart break into a million pieces at the sight of his hopeless state. “John,” she whispered once again, “…sweetheart.”  

This time, his eyes moved to look into hers. They were glazed over, and she could tell he was close to cracking, the guilt eating him up alive.  

“This wasn’t your fault, John,” she told him with a shake of her head.

He let out a humourless laugh. The type of laugh that told her just how deep in despair he was. “Yeah, it was. I should’ve known better.”  

“John, no.” She disagreed, “You couldn’t have predicted this.”  

“No, but I should’ve been ready for it,” he argued, “I should’ve been prepared for things to go wrong.”  

“And you were,” she spoke softly, “But we were all taken by surprise. None of us could have known this was going to happen. No matter how prepared we could have been. No matter what you think you could’ve done, we were simply too outnumbered.”  

With a tilt of his head, he exhaled sharply, “This was supposed to be an easy mission. In and out.”  

She nodded in understanding, “And it would’ve been if the information you were given was correct,” she pointed out. “This one was out of your hands, John.”

He shook his head in disagreement, hie eyes trained on the ceiling as if it was the most interesting thing in the room. With a small wince, she pushed herself off the chair and walked over towards him. Her fingers curled around his jaw and she moved him so that his eyes were locked with hers.  

“John, what matters is that we’re all alive.” She told him, “You’re fine. The boys are fine. I’m fine. We’re all okay.”  

With a blank stare, his hand moved to her thigh and applied some pressure in the exact spot where the bullet had penetrated her skin. He didn’t do it hard, in fact, he barely touched the area. Yet despite all that, she felt like a thousand needles were stabbed into her sore skin at once.  

She choked at the pain that travelled through her body, and her hand instinctively pulled his away. He stared at her with a look that told her he did not believe a word she just told him. How could he when the soft, and otherwise welcome gesture caused her so much pain.  

“You don’t sound fine to me, love.”  

“John.” She scolded, “This isn’t something that’s never happened to me before. I’ve lost count of how many times I got shot, and I’m sure you have too.”  

He didn’t respond to the accusation, his eyes only closing in shame. With a small, yet deep sigh, she managed to pull him towards her. The non-bruised side of his face was pressed against her chest, and her arms wrapped securely around him. The palm of her left hand cradled the back of his head, whilst the other moved to rub comforting circles on his shoulders.  

“I know you won’t believe me,” she whispered, “But none of us blame you. Not Ghost, not Soap, not Gaz, and most definitely not me”  

Upon hearing her words, he wrapped his arms around her torso and pulled her even closer to him than she was before. A small whimper left his lips, and he moved his face so that his nose was pressing against her. She moved down, carefully not to startle him, and kissed the crown of his head. She kept her face there, only tightening her hold around him when his body began to shake; the dam which he had built breaking into pieces as he allowed his emotions to flow freely.  

His tears soaked through her shirt, and the situation made her own eyes well with tears. She didn’t care when they began to roll down her cheeks, or when his fingers clenched around the material of her shirt and pulled on it. She only cared that he finally let himself feel, without shoving his emotions away until they became unbearable.  

“We would never blame you for this. Sometimes things are out of our control, okay?” She hummed against him, “There’s no point in beating ourselves up over it. It’s in the past. We can’t change it, so let it go. Please, just let it go.”  

A sob wrecked through his body, and his fingers let go of her shirt to dig into her skin. He managed to nod against her, and she felt as though a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She knew the guilt had not fully left him, and that they still had a long way to go, but this was progress. She was just glad he was willing to try and move past it, and no matter how long it would take him, she would remain by his side the entire time.  

She would wrap her arms around him and hold him close as he let the tears flow freely, just as he had done for her so many times before. She would hold him for as long as he needed her to, even if her arms began to ache, she would keep her arms wrapped securely around him.  

“Just please…” she sniffled, “Don’t beat yourself up over this. We’re all going to be fine. Nothing a little rest and some medicine can’t fix.”  

“And some stitches.”

“Yeah,” she let out a small laugh as her lips pressed against his hair once more, “And some stitches.”

Here's Arzt (Septic Digital Circus) and the lesser-known Youtuber Henrik "The Good Doctor" von Schneeplestein! I originally drew them smiling, but I took one look and was like "Naaaaahhh." Also, none of the Draw The Squads really looked right for them, so I drew it referencing photos I took!

Arzt: the newest arrival to the circus, he is still trying to accept that he can't leave whenever he wishes and that he doesn't remember anything from before. Even his name. Oh, and the fact that he can't curse or smoke an actual cigarette (he's smoking a bubble pipe).

The Good Doctor: talks about medical stuff on YouTube, but he doesn't get as much sleep as he should. It's really starting to take a toll on his health, both physical and mental. He keeps having the same dream/hallucination: a film reel that records someone signing for help. Then the person pushes at the reel until he comes out of it...and then Schneep snaps back awake in a cold sweat. Chilling stuff, really.

Background:

A bastard child born to an affair whose discovery would shake national and international news alike, Giulietta grew up as a secret everyone knew of but no one dare aknowledge. A life doomed to the shadows, where the pretty faces and high words of those cast in the light revealed their true nature.

Giulietta learned to adapt to survive: Trust is a luxury and secrets a necessity, the better you become at playing the ruthless games of the elite, the higher your chances of survival. One look at the wrong person was all it took to invoke someone's wrath.

The death of her mother came sudden, but to no one's surprise. Her very existence was proof to the scandal that was Giulietta's birth, an impure stain on the white silk that was her family's reputation.

Growing up, Giulietta had witnessed many a death at the hand of, supposedly, natural causes. Heart attacks, falling asleep behind the wheel or simply having a fatal allergic reaction were all common excuses to mask the real cause of death: Poison.

The public didn't bat an eye when an old man long past his prime died to a bad cold. Magazines wrote some articles about condolences, someone new took over the family, and celebrities attended a funeral to wipe fake tears off their cheeks; anything for the reporters who'd move on to talk about the weather and whatever sports was on that evening.

Giulietta Viviana Di Traglia celebrated her 17th birthday on a plane, leaving Italy and her name behind.

Giulietta Kreutzer enlisted in the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces, and begun studying medicine as well as organic chemistry. She aced her studies and rose up the ranks, labeled as a prodigy by peers and superiors alike; little did they know the kind of education she'd enjoyed in Italy. The young doctor soon received an offer to join the KSK's medical staff.

Whatever scattered pieces of her past remained she brushed off like a leaf on her shoulder on the day of her acceptance ceremony.

During one of many deployments to warzones, Septic came into contact with captain Price, and later, Gaz. German troops assissted British ones during a ground breaking weapon bust on a cartel dealing with explosives. The cartel detonated a bomb on site; shrapnel hit friends and foes alike. The underground structure partially collapsed, thus cutting the trio off from the rest of their squad. Some metal shelling had buried itself into Septic's flesh, and the doctor knew she was knocking on death's door. A split second decision was all it took for her to bark at Price for cover while Gaz kept pressure on her legs - to keep them from thrashing. What little morphine was left after the explosion did nothing to ease the excruciating pain of performing emergency surgery on herself.

Price and Septic found themselves with a newfound respect and trust in each other. Price invited her to join his task force 141, to which she replied to give it some thought, but her answer is pending to this day.

Psychological report:

Beneath stern words and curt commands lay a deeply empathetic and caring soul. Giulietta roughened her edges as to prevent the world from cutting wounds ever so deep, yet she will always mourn a comrade's death like her own. Some may call her ambitions too big, too dreamy and too heroic when she wishes nothing more than to save and protect lives.

Giulietta is a woman marked by a strong sense of duty and morality: What others call shackles, she calls it her motivation to keep pushing where everyone else gave up. Always to the limits of her own capacity and further beyond; whatever it takes to move forward.

No sacrifice is too big; not even her own body and mind are an exclusion. Where there's a will there's a way, and Giulietta is strong willed, if not frustratingly stubborn at times.

(They will go to war for each other but won't share their chargers)

The canon egos are the same way, but they are more accepting of the other group than they are of them

Angus is closest with the NC!egos, and Jameson (he just wants someone who will listen to what he has to say instead of ignoring him)

He and Henrik haven't really known each other outside of recently (their parents ended up raising them separately)

Angus and Marvin have both studied magic

For Angus, it's mostly the history of Rook Island's magic and the magic he did in the Skyrim video, for Marvin its mostly his magic, the Magic Circle (I think that's the name of the group Marvin's in) and I.R.I.S

Henrik is also studying I.R.I.S, but its the scientific side rather than magic

They live in the same house but they have a buddy system for the bedrooms (2-3 egos a room)

It's a manor/tower kind of thing where the bedrooms are all on the second floor

They also have separate houses for their respective families (Sparrow, Schneeplestein, Brody) either somewhere else on the island or an entirely different island (like Rook Island)

Henrik will sometimes use Angus' journal to further his research (mostly to generate questions for him to answer)

The other egos are big fans of Angus' show and have watched every single episode

(The show is on their version of Natural Geographic which is doing reruns of the first ten episodes and is running the newest 13 episodes)

The team made a season 2 with 14 episodes (they are currently making the last episode) that takes place on an island called Anetalsma (or Talsma for short)

I feel like at some point Angus would need a wheelchair considering how dangerous his job is (maybe it happens in Talsma), he could also develop a respiratory problem while he's there too

Actually, since a buffalo (or two) attack him in the crocodile episode, he could've developed those problems from that

(It seems like a logical thought to me)

Talsma is snowy so the team could do a skiing video in their free time

Jackie and Chase do parkour together (because of course they do)

Jameson is from the present day, he just likes dressing fancy (he is still mute though)

Chase's and Henrik's kids hang out often (Angus' have been thrown into the mix, poor Amelia)

An alternative to Anti being the physical manifestation of Angus' vengeful feelings, is Anti possessing him (or them sharing a body in another way) but because Anti is the manifestation of these feelings, I feel like he should be able to possess him anyway

Occupation-wise, the egos basically have the same jobs they do in canon, both fixed (doctor) and variable salaries (the survival hunter job)

(Angus basically gets paid the amount on the contract, which usually isn't a lot, so he ends up selling bits of the animals to make vastly higher amounts of money)

Update: that last point is pretty much canon

As for some, like Jameson who doesn't have a canon job, I'm just putting them somewhere that loosely fits them as a character

Jackie- software developer (he makes his own superhero equipment, again this is paired with his hero work as a side job)

Mack (maintenance Jack, he's from fan games that I don't quite remember the names of)- maintenance and repair (for what I don't know, maybe Jackie's stuff and other things the egos need)

Henrik's last name is actually his first wife's maiden name (he didn't want to be a Burke anymore so he changed his last name when they got married, she later died and he kept it in honor of her, and when he and Judaline got married he kept it again, which Judaline was ok with)

If one of the other egos asks why the brothers changed their original last name, they just get a backhanded response like "wouldn't you?" (Angus' go to) or "I don't know Brody, why'd you change yours?" (Henrik's go to)

Jameson's pub received an email from Gavin about a proposition to put one of Gavin's casinos (which still needs a name) in the pub, it'll be in a separate area away from the alcohol (which will be sold separately and isn't allowed in the casino)

Jameson will only sell people alcohol if they have food first (this is so the alcohol is absorbed by the food, decreasing the amount in the system), there are no mixing drinks (drinking one type of alcohol and then deciding to drink another kind) either

Thulerion Airship

The structural design of this airship is similar to the R100 of the British Air Command. Differences in material and the audits of evolution and war can prove differences in durability and efficiency.

The Thulerion Airship was engineered about twelve millennia ago before that city destroyed itself. No airship built then survives to this day, and the audit of war has had a profound influence on their development. Dwarfish engineers have had a small hand in their development, mostly with the development on the power cars and the central light water reactor.

The skeleton is a rigid, aluminum frame reinforced with steel cables to counter sheer forces, while other cables secure that frame to a central hub, the way spokes would a bicycle wheel. A carbon-fiber cloth covers the frame which also supports a gondola, crew deck, and air force deck. The ship has a battle deck found on top and close to the prow, which is capable of taking over coxswain duties and fire control. The frame envelops thirteen gas-double-bladders, with a core bladder filled with helium, inside another filled with hydrogen mixed with nitrogen, neon and argon, both by products of the light water reactors.

While most systems are powered by batteries fed by environmental energy systems, core services, such as the power cars, receive power from a Stable Salt Reactor, one in each car and one in the command gondola to power shields.

Bloedwendor, heir to Thulerion culture and traditions, built twelve airships for the Ring Wars that have a γ-class ósinjal1 cultured computer; meaning incredible calculating speed, no intelligence. Each holds a slot for a ósinjal axis core, a α-class computer, which does have the intelligence of an ensouled being. The added bonus to this are renovation systems that can keep the airship in service by mending little strains, wears and tears that the human eye would miss. These systems require materials, often supplied by refuse stores, including septic tanks.

The airship carries several defensive, and few offensive options. Ports found around the airship can accommodate a weapon like a riffle or small missile projector.

The power cars generate a plasma structure that forms cymatic structures that propels the airship at about 26080tils2 an hour. Learned from studying sky whales, this technology propels the airship by bending the electromagnetic structures. By changing the shape of the cymatic structures, the drive path of that car, when coordinated with the others can achieve any vector. Six tail rudders ensure vector control, especially in high winds.

A battery of drones, held aloft by those same cymatic structures, can broaden the ship’s sensory capacity. Each can be armed with a small shock pistol, with limited range and rounds. They can also deliver light packages and messages.

The hanger can carry light aircraft or a regiment of tergons, or young dragons. Because the airship does not, itself, generate much turbulence, a squad or two could parachute, para-glide, or wing their way out.

A crew and some materials can embark or disembark through a gangplank located just under the nose. While moored at a tower gasses and fluids will be loaded through pipes, and data can be exchanged directly with the tower’s, usually α-class computer.

Jackie:

Obviously, he feels guilty having any time/day off..so to have a day where he can lounge around is always kinda a guilty pleasure to him..I feel like something he often avoids is alcohol, and its usually a depression or a guilty pleasure to have a glass of something hard and rough to burn his throat.

Also if anyone makes a fruit cake he may quietly ask for a piece..

Marvin:

I totally see Marvin kinda guilty for being into hypnosis. Being the magician I think it ironic that he’d sit there and watch spirals just to unwind and chill out y’know? I also think he has a small pet shapeshifter that he hasn’t told anyone about and he secretly takes care of it in return for comfort.  aaand maybe collects candles and gems in various sizes and shapes and gets excited when he buys new ones but does it alone?

Really likes lavander scented stuff.

Also loves bubble baths with a face mask, buts that only if hes really needing a self spoil day. 

Henrik:

This man is a sucker for touches..someone come play with his hair and he’d melt, he’s in dire need of it but won’t admit it. He also sings in his office alone, but god forbid anyone caught him singing “ive been working on the rail road” while he files his papers..

He’s also a sucker for mint flavoured stuff. Those mint shell coated chocolate balls are his favourite. 

Chase:

I actually think Chase is secretly really fucking good at like comic book style art. Sketching in his spare alone times.

Course chilling out with a video game and some pizza is a huge pleasure but he’s not always guilty about it XD  

Lemon tarts are a special treat of his. 

Anti:

Well, asides pain..

He likes to listen to like 8bit sounding music and stuff, like the undertale theme and game themes, stuff like that. 

He also has a fondness for sour foods/green apple flavoured stuff and he’s never been sure why but it makes him happy.

Knives are always good.

Dumb but I think Jumper is one of his favourite movies just??..cause.. idk. 

Shawn:

A guilty pleasure for him is a bottle of whiskey and a walk out in the night. No work, no people just him and his bottle and his whistling tunes. 

Also one of his guilty pleasures is coming to Jameson’s bar for a drink..just to watch the other manhandle the bottles and do his magic. A small stupid thing, but for some reason Shawn holds it dear. 

Also I feel like he likes to bake? Breads and stuff, nothing sweet, but just making a nice fresh loaf would be a nice stress relief and fresh bread always tasted great, especially with his famous stews/broths. 

Jameson:

Jameson likes to read and do puzzles, but I also think he’s a sucker for dancing.  Its hard to get him on the dancefloor with anyone around but alone he has some very nice moves.

I also think he really likes cartoons, but because they’re childish feels silyl for watching them..however he loves the vibrant colours and that the characters are alot easier to read.  Plus he likes the escapism. (Though he does enjoy those old classics like Mary poppins and chitty chitty bang bang) As well as some detective shows. 

Liquorice has been a fav, despite some of the others thinking it gross. 

Robbie:

Robbie has a whole fucking stash of soft items and adores every one of them- its no secret really since everyone buys them and usually finds him buried in them but he loves making nests with all his soft stuff.

Sometimes he’ll also get embarrassed about his outfits too..some very soft and small and even a little feminine that he gets shy about. 

Also he mumbles n fidgets and likes to stim so playing with slime or toys or watching stim vids is a huge pleasure of his. Hes also just a huge cuddle slut. 

Robbie loves foam squishes the most.

Bad or petty habits

Jackie:

He tries really hard to stay even on everything, but often his sleep can fall out of whack being a hero and all. Sometimes he also gets more injured in fights then he should. Because hes kinda intoit .He also struggles with poor self-image on rare occasions. Also, he pushes himself hard- He’ll just push and push until he finally crumbles and he has no energy left. Which takes alot because he has a fuck ton of energy.

Marvin:

Dealing with dangerous magic and getting hurt is a big number one..also he doesn’t always take proper care of himself and occasionally dabbles in self-harm. Both for the thrill and the fear of not being able to feel anything during the waves when feels unwanted n ignored. 

Henrik:

Horrid diet and absurd amount of coffee drinking..his sleeping has never quite been enough and hes just ti red..

Also, he bites the edges of his glasses whenever he’s taken them off his face for closer inspection/idel thought when not looking at anything important. 

And he has some serious OCD for stuff. Hence why his office is so neat yet specifically organized and why hes extra stressed when its cluttered and messy… 

Chase:

Drinking obviously..and the bad thoughts that he should off himself..toying with guns and drowning in bottles of alcohol- sometimes questioning whether to down any bottles from the medicine cabinet..He also forgets to eat sometimes, and his chronic sleep condition paired with migraines can be a bitch to deal with and alot of his poor drinking and sleep habits make them worse. 

Anti:

Oof huh..Anti is a mess. He has a huge habit of isolating himself and not sharing or dealing with his emotions as he should. Also he toys with knifes which, yknow aint safe so he ends up with odd lil knicks and cuts. He bottles up alot of shit and none of its good for him but he struggles to open up to anyone about it.

He often feels alone and empty and that hurts.. 

Shawn:

Shawn man..He also tends to bury himself in work of making toys and ignoring everyone. Hard lad who doesn’t talk much about feelings and does get touchy easily at all which results in kinda being highly touch starved. He too drinks, forgets to eat and usually only sleeps when his body is at it’s limit and he cant keep his eyes open enough to work. 

Jameson

My lad Jameson here seriously seriously struggles with eating. He has anorexia, his ribs are far too viable, he’s very much like a twig, but it all stems from the pain in his throat.

Not to mention he talks despite his broken vocal cords- which is painful, but he doesn’t want to burden people with his sign language.

He also has an awful habit of being unable to say no, defiantly quite the passive polite Pisces. 

Robbie

Robbie, hes a pretty good boy..though he can struggle to listen. Sometimes he bites things he really should..eats things he shouldn’t and also tends to overindulge in foods which usually means a stomach ache. 

Other than that the others usually keep a good eye on him so he never struggles too bad, but he does sometimes wish he wasn’t so childlike n helpless. he tries his best to be helpful but he can get really lonely when the others are busy.. 

He’s also a wee bit clumsy and that’s meant some nasty bruises.

Oh and he chews his sleeves alot.

For each week I wanted to do a draw the squad with two interpretations of the egos in my mental AUs! (couldn't find out how in include Jack though.. D: )

Anyways, here's Trix (from my fic the Septic Digital Circus) and Chase the Charmer (from my yet-to-be-released Septic Switcharoo AU)!

A few facts about them:

Trix: Made of foam, he's sort of the Ragatha of the gang: Really channeling his paternal instincts to keep the others sane. He does have a family in the real world. Or at least he thinks he does, nobody really remembers much about their life before they started playing the game, and they can't leave.

Chase the Charmer: He's in Marvin's role as the magician, and his special thing is managing to give potions or charms through his tea. And his magic blasts. Technically speaking, he's more of a witch than a magician, but he doesn't really care about that. He still keeps a gun on his person, though, as magic is no excuse to ignore what works.
