#horizon forbidden west #hfw #aloy #hfw out of bounds #out of bounds exploration #ok i know i said the first thing i'd do was THE FORT but.#you can't just wander around there (yet?) with the mod (accursed 'you can't enter this location' message)#and i want my pics to do it justice #so consider this offering of the spire and meridian instead :D #there's definitely some funky textures going on in spots #and there are still some invisible walls around the spire (you can get through them with the free cam/teleport tho)#and i eventually went so far i seemed to break the map with a shader compilation loading screen lmao oops #but in the meantime these are cool #the hunter's lodge has no floor or anything else #and there are a number of holes in the ground in the city (i guess they're still doing construction XD)#and there are no elevators and the water isn't real so you don't float in it #but otherwise it looks surprisingly complete #hfw pc #(remove reload boundary mod)#hfw meridian

i got the devkit to work. oh my fucking god. i realized the issue was quite literally that the file NAME was supposed to end in 1.9.5 as like a version thing i guess? but the .5 was registered as the file type. so i just changed that to .blend and we're gucci it's working now. LMAO

#like yeah okay it's outdated but it's still something easier to work off of for now (hopefully) (havent actually examined it yet)#just got it booted up and now there's a shader compiling so GOS BLESS. BIG BRAIN. I'm doing great #txt

Well, I still can’t get Avowed working despite running through their whole troubleshooting list, uninstalling, clearing shader cache, and reinstalling

BUT

New Greedfall 2 EA update on the 27th (!!!!!) and apparently they’re nerfing Uprisings (at least story and vet) in SWtOR so I SHALL SURVIVE

#queen rambles #and it sounds like we’ll have to restart Greedfall 2 saves so I will be annoying about Esmey again #fair warning lol #queens avowed saga #I’m so close to just begging steam in my knees to let me return avowed #my 16 hours of play time are all the compiling shaders screen :))))#haven’t even made it to the menu

Once upon a time people on this very website kept bugging me, an avowed Fable fan, to play some other RPG. So I finally went to some store or another and picked up a copy and went "HERE. I GOT YOUR STUPID GAME ALRIGHT" not having any clue what sort of autism brainworm hell was about to be unleashed upon me over the next decade.

And now here we are, somewhere in the vicinity of 13 years later, and we're at it again. This time it is not "HERE. I GOT YOUR STUPID GAME ALRIGHT" but it is "FINE. I'LL FINISH THIS GODDAMN TRASHFIRE OF A SERIES ALRIGHT"

considering my insanely unideal gaming setup, veilguard launched with genuinely shocking haste

#the first time I launched bg3 it took like…..15 goddamn minutes for the game to actually open #Veilguard just APPEARED. IMMEDIATELY #took me out there for a second #that dragon sure does age #rosie plays games kinda okay #shaders must be compiled now but it opened FAST #I am here to play test for anyone who also has a shit ass set up lol

#horizon forbidden west #hfw #aloy #hfw out of bounds #out of bounds exploration #hfw prologue #(...well. in the vicinity.)#this is the waterfall you can see behind aloy when she's climbing the cliff in the opening cinematic!#if you're trying to get here it's best to start in the prologue map area (teleport yourself there first)#bc i get the infinite 'compiling shaders' screen if i try to spawn myself at the start of this river on the main map side (north-west-ish)#you can go a ways up it before you hit the load screen :D #it's interesting because the waterfall is not nearly as huge as it looks from the launch facility area! i thought it would be massive #don't get me wrong - it's big! (you can see tiny aloy standing on the tree there) i just thought it would be bigger #the power of perspective and camera angles i guess #hfw pc #(remove reload boundaries mod)

I am having hardware issues with Infinity Nikki and the laptop should run it better than the desktop, so I've run the download again and hoping it is playable this time >_<

#the desktop has like 8gb ram n the game says min 16gb. it would run and play but god it was SHIT #couldnt move without freeze n stutter n audio cutout so much #laptop only has 12gb which still isnt the min req of 16 but its the best i can do rn so im hoping!!!! it is better!!!#compiling shaders rn n its going pretty smooth #if this laptop doesnt work i will have to wait a little bit before i get any solutions but i have options available !!#game has begun loading as i typed this :3 lets gooooo #batty blogging #text #nikkiverse
