What's your favorite movie? -🧁Anon
Difficult question! I have quite a few across a lot of genres, mainly animated films, horror, romance, among others, but I think I’ll focus on specifically Disney movies to at least keep this concise and sort of together hehe. I love a LOT of Disney movies, especially the classics, so this is gonna be a bit of a difficult question to answer.
The Hunchback of Notredame, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, and The Lion King take the cake for most rewatched on my end. I just love them so much??? I relate with a lot of Disney protagonists, but especially the protagonists in at the very least MOST of these. Especially Quasi, Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel, and Herc! We have… similar experiences? Motives? Difficult to really explain in detail hehe. Aurora is also someone I identify with but for different reasons in comparison to the previous four (mainly sleeping habits honestly, but to the extreme.)
The Lion King was my first favorite though, and is one I hold close to my heart, so I think I can say that one is my favorite movie?
They also have like, the best villains by the way. Another thing I’m honestly so in love with when it comes to these movies. Scar is my favorite in this regard, if you’re curious. Also??? The music??? Hello??? Bangers, all of the songs are bangers.
Special mentions: Cinderella (but specifically Cinderella III, but the other two are okay also), Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book, Aladdin, and 101 Dalmatians.
Some non-Disney movies in the tag ig~ What movies do you like? :)

Hyper Fixation
Cod characters x horror fan reader (GN bf/gf :) )
Summary : they ask one small question horror movie sending you into a complete hyper fixation and happy rant about all your favorite scary movies
(A/N: tbh this is mainly for myself so I can finally spill out my bottled up horror movie rants, plus this is based off interaction I just had with a friend on Snap. Our babies will be referred to as "they/them" since i wanna include everyone 🤍🩰🧸 might do a pt2)
You loved horror movies and let it be known to all. Everyone at the base knew it and it was what you were known for even to those who didn't know you fully . Often referred to as the "Horrorjunkie"
Your dorm was filled with horror movie posters, props from iconic classics and of course you had a bunch of those mini polaroid posters of all your favorite horror movies. Your body is covered in horror movie themed tattoos of all the well known villains and other scary themed things. Your left hand was covered in one giant tattoo that made it look like you were a skeleton. All of your causal/civilian clothes were the Steven Rhodes t-shirts and hoodies.
God forbid anyone lets you pick the movie during movie night . It was gonna be scary obviously. This night you picked Sinister (2012) forcing everyone in the common room. It only got worse when few of your teammates confessed they've never seen it. There you sat grinning wildly knowing the whole movie play by play. Having the ability to mentally time each up in coming jumpscare in your head laughing and smiling to yourself prepared for each scare ,glancing up at them wanting to see their reaction. The infamous lawn mower scene had just happened causing everyone but you to jump and yelp a little , instead you laughed and smiled happily at their reactions finding the whole thing amusing.
Fast forward weeks later, you were sitting on the couch scrolling your phone with " " (This is where you insert whoever you want lol). You both got bored after a while, you move and lay your head onto their lap "wanna watch a movie?" you ask looking up at them "I'll pick" you sang dragging the words smiling . They laughed smiling back "and what horror movie has the honors of your picking today mmph?" they remarked . You sat up and playfully huffed with fake offended expression on your face , putting your hand to your chest "Now who said it was gonna be a horror movie ?" you replied holding back a giggle
"you get called "horrorjunkie" for a reason " they said with a chuckle. You crossed your arms smirking "Touche", you grab the remote and start looking through the horror movie collection on Netflix " How about The Strangers ?" you ask looking at your partner . "Again ? we've watched like ten times already, why do you like it so much?"
you gasped "how could I not love it? its's such a classic !, and the timing of its release ! It was something never done before ! it scared the shitout everyone making them fear being in their own homes, making them worry when answering their door and the simple fact it was based off a true event?!?! absolutely sickening" you explained in a fast and excited manner.
And that's how you both spent the rest of your night and ranting about each of your beloved scary movies along with the cast, the directors ,the lore, the meaning and messages behind them, the remakes and sequels all of it
Going on about Scream 1996 flapped over and changed horror forever
Going on about Radio Silence was doing a great job on honoring Wes Craven on his creation of the Scream movies , as they keep the franchise
Why the Evil Dead franchise was so loved
Breaking down and explaining all of Jordan Peele movies, explaining the meaning, how their connected in way,why Jordan writes the way he does, why it's better to show and not tell
Giving off examples of movies that were clearly inspired of Peele's work
Talking about Ethan Hawke is perfect for horror movies
How his performance in The Black Phone shocked and scared everyone
Even though they may not get horror movies the way you do. They love the way your eyes lit up,love hearing the excitement in you voice, loving how animated you became when talking about horror movies. They enjoyed how happy the movies made you so they sat smiling up at you the whole time as you talked for what seemed like forever but they didn't care

Random Chapter Three Secret Boss Ideas I Threw Together For No Reason.
Hi Y'all! It's been a good bit since I've made a new secret boss. Actually, now that I think about it, it hasn't. The latest one was. . .MIKE-MAYHEM TWENTY-THREE DAYS AGO??? I must of lost track of time. In that case, why don't I show off a collection of designs based on some ideas I had, some theories I enjoy, and some horror movies that I find interesting.
Tumblr media
Up first we have Shioreta! Shioreta is my take on what I'd like to call Dragon Theory. It's basically just that the Secret Boss of Chapter Three will be the How To Draw Dragons Book and may explore the themes of Asriel's True Nature. For Shioreta's Design, I based it off of the description of the dragon, Susie, stereotypical Japanese school girl attire, and a bit of inspiration from Sailor Moon. My idea for her lore is that she was abandoned by Asriel and has become a bit of an psycho who desperately wants a friend. She lives in a singular grayscale room with filled with flowers and a cherry Blossom tree, the petals of which would be blood red.
The next design on the choppin' block is Mirrorscare! This design is based on the one and only Scream franchise and is based on the "faker" trope that I've seen quite a bit in Secret Boss circles. Mirrorscare pretends to be Asriel or Ralsei or one of the goat people and eventually tries to attack the Fun Gang. That is honestly all of the lore I have for them.
Tumblr media
And now we have the one and only RIPley! Listen, I freakin' love Evil Dead. It is stupid gorey fun that can get REALLY dark and messed up. My idea for RIPley came from the bouquet given to Toriel. I'd say that the flowers eventually wilted which gave rise to something sinister. . .something evil and dead. . .RIPley's design is based on flowey (specifically one of his creepy faces), Ash Williams, the Deadites, and their arm is suppost to be made of lost assets. I guess you could say that they were assets that died in production, ayy? AYY???
Tumblr media
Also, yes. They have the Necronomicon.
Finally for this batch of designs, we have an idea that was brought to my attention by my lovely friend Glitch! So, without further adieu, please welcome Saudade!
Tumblr media
Saudade is supposed to be an old family recording of a happy memory of the Dreemurr Family. This now acts as her hitlist, as she stalks the land searching to find the 4 Remaining. . . She's inspired by The Ring and all of the creepy VHS tape goodness that comes with it! Her fight would probably have her come out of a TV to fight the Fun Gang.
And that, my friends, wraps up this collection of designs. I hope you found at least a few of them enjoyable and that you had just as much fun as I did designin' these freaks. To be totally honest with y'all, Mari absolutely popped off with RIPley. I may never recover from how sick they were able to make that freak. If you made it this far, you my friend get to have some bonus content featuring Buddy Bloomy!
Tumblr media
Buddy Bloomy was made by @glitch-the-artist , who also gave me the idea for Saudade!
Have a wonderful day and I hope to see y'all some time in the future!

horror subgenres that sunny cappuccino would love
in celebration of spooky season and my obsession with horror movies.
✰ MIMURA: The classics. ↠ FAVES: Frankenstein, Freaks, Night of the Living Dead Not exactly a subgenre, but as a filmmaker, Mimura is quite fond of the earlier works of horror. He's particularly interested in the ways in which the genre has developed, from cinematography, tropes, to scare factors. He definitely wrote a 5000-word deep dive essay dissecting that.
✰ FUWA: 80s slashers. ↠ FAVES: Sleepaway Camp, Friday the 13th, The Slumber Party Massacre It's a guilty pleasure. She calls it fast food horror. Fuwa's well accustomed to the tropes of this genre now, and paired with how clever she already is, her predictions of what's going to happen are always right. Her friends don't like watching these with her because she always unintentionally spoils it along the way.
✰ NAKAMURA: Self-aware horror comedy. ↠ FAVES: Scream, Cabin in the Woods Oh she is a super fan of the Scream franchise. I'm talking dedicated follower, owns every movie and probably has a merch collection somewhere. These types of movies just scratches her brain in all the best ways. You will definitely catch her writing paragraphs upon paragraphs explaining her theories too.
✰ CHIBA: Monster movies and supernatural. ↠ FAVES: Fear Street trilogy, It, The Thing If there's one thing Chiba loves in horror movies, it's the explanations of a complex lore of unexplainable beings. These movies tap into the otherworldly and usually have coming-of-age themes mingled within, which is right up his alley.
✰ SUGAYA: Found footage. ↠ FAVES: The Blair Witch Project, Lake Mungo, Noroi: The Curse There is just something so raw about found footage movies, and it is this very aspect that makes Sugaya so fond of them. He views it as a form of art that is very flexible. It can portray just about anyone and anything and still feel real. He considers that the magic of it all.
✰ HAYAMI: Vengeful spirits. ↠ FAVES: Shutter, The Ring, Sinister Bonus points if it takes place in a haunted house. Hayami believes that the sole purpose, the very heart and soul, of watching horror movies is to get scared. So that's exactly the type of movies she seeks out when she's in the mood for horror. Rather than intensity and gore, she best enjoys horror movies when they're built on suspense and unease.

Favorite Matthew Lillard roles? Characters? What are some franchises you wish he’d enter or which he was in instead?
My favorite role is Dennis Rafkin from Thir13en Ghosts, that's my favorite of his characters. He was amazing in Scream, I'd like to see him play a more sinister killer character in a standalone horror movie, I think he'd crush that, just make him scary as hell. If I could pick one franchise for him to be in, I'd like to see him play a super weird character in like a Twin Peaks remake or something, that would be pretty fun.

It's Spooky Season, and you have a fondness for mystery stuff so...any opinions on the Scream franchise?
I've never actually watched the Scream films.
I've always come from the school of thought that if you can fight the monster, you should fight the monster. The reason killers like Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger are undead horrors, the Xenomorph is an eldritch bug thing, and the Terminator is an indestructible robot man is to at least seemingly take that option off the table.
You can't take down the T-800 with a well-placed groin kick. Although those films do often end by coming up with a way to fight the monster nonetheless, the challenge of how to fight the monster is part of the storycraft.
This is why Danganronpa makes a point of having someone attack Monokuma twice in its opening case; Once to show off how dangerous and pointless it even is to try, and then again to show off the devastating consequences of going through with it. It's to establish right off the bat that you cannot fight Monokuma - Because "Fuck THIS guy!" should always be the first instinct when a sinister robot teddy bear tells you to kill your friends.
The Scream killer always struck me as some guy in a weird shroud holding a knife. It's not even a gun. I've never understood how that's meant to be threatening to a crowd of athletic teenagers. Just hit him with the nearest object within reach.
Maybe it makes more sense in the movies. I don't know. But I never got into Scream back in its day on account of how unimpressed I was by their monster.

The Chucky saga will have a new movie
Tumblr media
The new upcoming horror movie involving Chucky is set to be directed by the original creator, Don Mancini. This movie marks the franchise's first canon feature-length outing since 2017's "Cult of Chucky." Don Mancini, who conceptualized Chucky back in 1988, confirmed the news of the upcoming film on the Scream Dreams Podcast. While details are still in the early stages, Mancini hinted at the possibility of sending Chucky into space if there is enough demand from fans. The movie is expected to be more faithful to the existing series, especially with Mancini's involvement, promising a return to the classic Chucky storyline. The Chucky franchise has seen various sequels, spin-offs, and a TV series, with the latest season featuring Chucky infiltrating the White House. The idea of a Chucky in Space movie has been teased, hinting at a potential new direction for the iconic killer doll.
Tumblr media
The plot of the new Chucky movie involves the iconic killer doll returning in the third season of the television series. Set as a direct sequel to the seventh film, "Cult of Chucky," the series follows 14-year-old Jake Wheeler who discovers the infamous Good Guy doll in Hackensack, New Jersey. This discovery sets off a chain of events where Chucky's sinister nature collides with Jake's struggles, leading to shocking murders and bizarre occurrences. The third season unfolds with Chucky infiltrating the White House, entwining himself with America's First Family, while characters like Jake, Devon, and Lexy navigate romantic entanglements and growing up amidst the chaos. The series promises a mix of horror, laughter, and unexpected twists that have defined the legacy of Chucky, offering fans a continuation of the doll's chaotic saga.
The genre of the new Chucky movie, directed by the original creator Don Mancini, falls within the slasher sub genre. This upcoming film marks a return to the big screen for the iconic killer doll after a detour to the small screen with the "Chucky" TV series. Don Mancini, the mastermind behind Chucky since 1988, has confirmed his plans to bring the character back to feature films, hinting at potential new directions for the franchise, including the possibility of sending Chucky into space if there is enough demand from fans.

Final Scr3am (FD3 x Scream crossover fic) *for Tumblr*
chapter 1: Opening Kill
Ring, ring!
"Hello?"
"Hello, Jason" a ghostly voice responds through the phone.
"Um hello do I know you?" Jason Wise responds to the caller, standing in his living room.
"You don't know me, but I know you..." The voice answers.
Jason immediately assumes it's a prank call from Kevin, he knows that quote all too well.
"You want to play a game?" Jason answers the Saw quote.
The responder chuckles, "Couldn't resist a good Saw reference, I thought you would enjoy it".
Jason also chuckles at the shift from ominous to playful, "Yeah, yeah, I thought you would end up going down that path, Kevin".
"Oh this isn't Kevin, just a person who wants to talk about scary movies. What's your favorite scary movie?".
"Cute Stab reference, my favorite movie is Black Christmas, you know this Kev" Jason replies.
"I'm not Kevin, I already told you that" the voice responds getting more impatient, "though I bet Carrie wishes I was Kevin right now".
Jason is about to continue smart-mouthing the voice until he catches the last part of what they said.
"... what are you talking about?"
"Carrie, you know, Kevin's girlfriend. I'm looking into her bedroom window right now... I'm sure she would rather her boyfriend do this than some complete stranger wouldn't you agree?" the voice responds making the conversation more sinister.
"What the fuck are you talking about, this isn't funny dude!" Jason yells at the caller.
"Why not? What's not funny about Carrie obliviously asleep in her cozy bed, whilst a psycho killer is watching her through a window, itching for the perfect moment to cut her open like a science project?" the voice coyishly responds.
Jason is overcome with fear and rage, "fuck you, I'm calling the police!". Before Jason could remove the phone from his ear to dial the police the voice yells at him.
"HANG UP IN ANYWAY AND I'LL HAVE THIS BITCH'S BLOOD TISSUE PAINTING HER WALLS!"
Jason stays on the line, he can't bare to have his friend's girlfriend die in his hands. "What do I have to do to keep your hands off her?"
"Simple, you must answer three of these horror movie themed questions correctly" the voice responds; "Answer any of these questions incorrectly, and I'm afraid little Carrie here is merely dead meat".
"Okay fine, give them to me" Jason says impatiently.
"But first let's start off with a warm up question-"
"GIVE ME THE QUESTIONS!" Jason yells.
"... Okay, okay, somebody wastes no time." the voice teases, "This franchise was based off of actual events taking place in Woodsboro, California; which franchise is this-"
"Stab! It's Stab!" Jason responds instantly.
"Easy money right?" the voice responds, "These three horror movie villains were based on real life serial killer, Ed Gein; who are these three vill-"
"Uh... Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs, and uh... uh..." Jason rushes, "Norman Bates from Psycho!".
"You're doing wonderful!"
"Eat shit..."
"Final question..." the voice states, "This villain is the main villain of Friday the 13th-"
"Jason Voorhees!" Jason interrupts.
"..."
"It's Jason Voorhees, I'm right".
"You would've been right if I was talking about the franchise... unfortunately I was only referring to the first Friday the 13th's killer, who was Pamela Voorhees" the voices explains.
"What no, I got that one right fuck off!"
"I'm afraid that counts as a wrong answer, Jason!"
"Fuck you!"
"Say hello to Carrie" the voices responds as suddenly, a figure crashes through the living room window. Jason jumps in fear and then examines what got thrown through the window. It was a dead body, specifically, Carrie's dead body, she was drenched in her own blood, cut open from the throat to her stomach, and had a permanent lifeless expression of pure terror on her face, she had also definitely been dead longer than the phone call started, Jason couldn't look at it any longer.
"You're parents will be awfully mad at that broken window when they get home, Jason" The voice continued to tease.
"What the fuck do you want from me?!" Jason cried, "Why give me a chance to save her if she was dead anyways?!".
"Every quiz has a trick question, this was a trick answer" the voice was more ominous, "but this isn't your only surprise".
"What are you talking about?" Jason pleaded for answers.
"Funny, your favorite scary movie is Black Christmas, yet you haven't caught on..."
Jason paused in terror.
...
"The caller is in the house". The killer pops up from the couch behind Jason and stabs him in the side of the throat, Jason stumbles over in pain holding his bleeding neck, looking up in fear as he tries to back away. The killer wearing a Ghostface mask follows until both hit a dead end. The Ghostface lands a fatal blow towards Jason in the chest...
The killing spree has only just begun.

my dad and i are currently working through a list of “obligatory” horror films, like ones that are kind of no brainers for being a horror fan
we’ve watched the scream and conjuring franchises, same with sinister and insidious. we just recently watched the last house on the left, cabin in the woods, and the crazies (2010 remake)
any suggestions?

• The Evil Dead (1981-1992)
• A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984-1994)
• Scream (1996-2023)
• The Cell (2000)
• The Cabin in the Woods (2011)
• Sinister (2012, 2015)
• Fresh (2022)
and so on... If I write all my favorite horror movies/franchises, then this list will be endless. :D

Pete Davidson Swaps Laughs for Screams in the UK Premiere of 'The Home' with Signature Entertainment
Tumblr media
Pete Davidson's Starring in New Horror 'The Home' Springs to the UK with Signature Entertainment
LONDON – Laughter often finds a companion in screams, and it seems Pete Davidson is ready to prove just that. The 'Saturday Night Live' alum and comedian, known for his eccentric and engaging humor, is about to give his fans a taste of his horror chops with his latest film, 'The Home'. As Variety reports, Signature Entertainment has played a masterstroke by pinning down the UK rights to Davidson's scare-fest. Icily intriguing, 'The Home' delves deep into the unnerving secrets lurking in the corridors of an elderly care facility. It's confirmed: chills are coming to the UK's big-screen aficionados as Signature Entertainment skilfully leverages the horror spectrum. A New Shade of Davidson Davidson, who tickled funny bones on the small screen is now set to send shivers down spines, exploring what hides beneath the façade of caretaking. Directed by visual maestro James DeMonaco, acclaimed for his disturbingly raw imagery with the 'The Purge' franchise, 'The Home' promises a gripping narrative fuelled by jaw-dropping twists and sinister turns. The Nerve-Wracking Narrative Davidson portrays Max, a delinquent with a heart, who discovers that this elderly home where he's taken a job is nursing more than just the old and ailing. There's a closet full of dark secrets, hinged on bone-rattling horror tropes—guaranteed to consume audiences in pervasive dread. The Home isn't just an exploration into the horrors that humans can mask, but also a portrayal of Davidson’s versatility as Max gets entangled in a menacing web of the supernatural, stretching the canvas of his acting prowess. Signature's Masterstroke The acquisition of The Home by Signature Entertainment marks yet another bold move for the distributor that has been adroitly snapping up diversely appealing features. Their eclectic slate continues to crucible the attention of British viewers, now eager to untangle the intrigue that Davidson’s eerie narrative weaves. Anticipation Builds As the UK market fans the flames of eager anticipation, Davidson's transition from the jest to the scare is one of the most anticipated spectacles in the genre realm. Entwining comedic charm with frightening elements, The Home seems set to offer a rich broth of entertainment to viewers with a taste for the thrillingly unconventional. The Wait Is On Horror and humor may seem like disparate ends of the spectrum, yet Davidson is standing on the line that blurs them together, ready to redefine expectations and perhaps, to spook us into acknowledging the brilliance of his multifaceted artistry. As we wait with bated (and somewhat frightened) breath, there’s a palpable buzz: will The Home ascend Davidson to become the dark prince of horror? Time, that cunning critic, will tell. The wait for the UK premiere is on, and the alarms are already set for an unforgettable horrifying adventure with Pete Davidson leading the way. Read the full article
