Hey bestie! So I need some advice for book 3 of The Sun Must Go On. So I need a Crane Wives Song to replace The Hanging Tree. I was thinking of either I Ain't Done or Keep You Safe. Thoughts?

AHHHHHH LETS NERD OUT ABOUT CRANE WIVESSSSSS

I think “Keep You Safe” matches the tone of Hanging Tree much better. Hanging Tree is kind of a haunting song, and I think “Keep You Safe” is the better of the two options in that sense. If you’re looking for a revolutionary song, “I Ain’t Done” is EXCELLENT, and if I may make a recommendation, “Down the River” is one I recommend as well. I almost used it in my fic actually, but settled on “Can’t Catch Me Now.”

For some reason your crane wives traffic stuff has just infested my brain. Thank you because i didn't used to to litsen to the Here I am album, but i have also litsened to Nobody 23 times in a day. What is your favorite crane wives song that you think is underrated?

I could praise Little Soldiers to the sun and back, it is my favourite song EVER and does not get enough recognition. But if I were to pick a genuinely underrated song, I would say there's a good chunk of songs in "Safe, Ship harbored" that are still REALLY good even after 10 years but go unnoticed. Specifically "I Ain't Done" is one of my favourites from the album and I don't see enough people talking about it.
