#T injection

PSA for trans people, trans mascs and fems, and enbies & intersex folks on T or E injections (or injections in general):

Your injections should AT WORST feel like a hard pinch if you hit a vein on accident. It should NOT sting the whole time, itch, be tender for more than a day, and should not cause significant bruising. (Edit!: This is the weekly injections, the monthly or longer lasting injections are sore for a while because the liquid is THICC.)

I was not told this when I started, and missed that I was allergic to my shots for the first 2 months I was on T. There is more than one type of carrier oil, and the type of T they prescribe most often is more likely to have allergic reactions (cypionate with cottonseed oil). You should not have to suffer more just to get your gender juice. You can also gain allergies over time, so if you start experiencing these symptoms, check in with your doctor!

(Another Edit: PLEASE talk to your doctor before assuming stuff, I'm just a guy on the internet trying to make sure that y'all have more info.)

Tips for less painful/irritated injections I've gotten from people (all anecdotal, again, check with your doc):

-Intramuscular injections are usually less likely to be irritated than subcutaneous ones.

-Rub VERY hard with your alcohol wipe before injecting to numb up the skin a little bit.

-Make sure to rub the vial between your hands to warm it before using the draw up needle. It makes the fluid less thick, so it’s less painful to inject.

Yeah we know TF one is amazing but I wanna talk about how it just GETS Optimus.

Everything we see pre T-cog is fantastic, it's constantly showing how much he cares about his friends, to the point where he'd run into a collapsing mine and carry someone out after being commanded to leave for his own safety.

Then we get his big speach scenes later on and it's just Oughghghg THAT'S THE GUY.

He can do the big standing in front of a crowd speach and convince an army to charge into battle, and then sit down and have a quiet, genuine heart to heart with his old mining team.

Then we actually get to see him fight and it's the coolest thing you've ever fucking seen.

I love how they integrate his vehicle mode and classic arsenal into his scenes, it's all the cool shit of bayverse without ever going into war crime gore like everything past rotf.

God I'm praying this movie does well. I need people to understand why he's my goat, I'll always be said that most people think of bayverse when you mention Optimus.

I assume that post is a reaction to the other post going around and you know, that's actually something I've seen used as "evidence" on how all trans mascs are actually just sooo misogynistic; while plenty of trans fem HC are based on trans fem reading of subtext of characters depicted as men in canon, trans masc HCs tend to also focus on characters depicted as men in canon... because of course we can't possibly just relate to things (gender, characters...) differently yk and prefer focusing on different parts of the journey (dicovering yourself and transitioning vs life after social or medical transition) 🙄

Honestly I have always headcanoned canon cis men as both trans men and women, and the same for canon cis women! I don't think I've seen that post? I really just wanted to make a post because I've talked about transmasc sakura haruno a couple times in tags in the past but I was rotating him this afternoon, haha. I think he deserves more love! And I want to know everyone else's transmasc headcanons too!

But I 100% understand your frustration with anything transmascs do to uplift their culture and community being demonised immediately and painted as 'dangerous' or 'perverted' in some way - I saw someone claim enjoying forcemasc meant you were an actual real-life believer in corrective rape of lesbians and just. Mm. What. hgggg I am giving you SUCH a big hug for having to put up with that bullshit.

Trans people of all flavours can imprint on whichever damn characters we like! I support any and all trans headcanons, always!

was feeling anxious about the speed at which hrt is transforming my wretched thing so i took a week off and halved my dose and immediately felt so much better, even about the changes i previously was like "hm this is a bit much". i even am starting to enjoy those things, i just think i want to settle into them instead of getting dunk tank'd. i love to remember that this is my body and i can do whatever i want with it which includes taking hrt and also includes not taking hrt or taking different amounts of hrt at different times. the body is not a boolean and im the boss
