1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?

ok I feel like it’s the cop-out answer to say “his fall to the ring” but I feel like Boromir is the sort of person to.. not like stew on things but very much takes the stance of “good or bad, all my choices got me to the current moment and made me who I am.” + I feel like there’s so much tangled up in his fall completely beyond his control where that’s the only memory that he’d like. actively want to erase from his mind

2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?

HM. good with kids. I think unless you’d seen him with Faramir/his cousins when they were younger you wouldn’t guess (he’s a soldier and a very plain man when he’s not putting on a show for his father), but he’s just genuinely great with kids

3. What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?

loves too much + quick to lose hope. painfully aware of this

4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?

fight response. 100% the kind of man who gets kicked out of a haunted house for punching a scareactor even though he knew a scare was coming. Faramir and Aragorn have both almost gotten throttled bc they unintentionally snuck up on him

5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?

OOO. When He Is Of Sound Mind, not actually very far. he was raised with the knowledge he would be giving his life to Gondor, whether he died in battle or sat on the throne as steward. add to that the act he puts on for Denethor, everything he does to protect Faramir— he’s a man born to serve. his own wants come last

6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?

it would take. a DESPERATELY long time and an almost complete degradation of his mental state. Boromir arrives in Rivendell in October 3018, and the very next day is the Council, at which point he sees the ring and is IMMEDIATELY influenced by it. yet he doesn’t fully fall to it until the end of February 3019. he’d been fighting its pull for almost four whole months by the time he does anything malicious. resisting the One Ring for FOUR MONTHS. <- reasons why if I see someone call Boromir weak for falling to it I will see red.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

teehee obviously again Boromir is not my OC so I will take this as an excuse to Be A Kinnie + say, I do remember Boromir being returned to us sometime after my coronation. so that’s one way my memories differ from canon, which is sort of an answer to this prompt snfjsjfj

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?

OH YEAH. I mean yeah if we’re talking like actual criminal murder and not just Slaying People On A Battlefield like. yeah 100% he would IF he was within Minas Tirith. you know Denethor would do everything in his power to cover that up lmfao

9. Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?

HMMMMM The Frankenstein Chronicles gave me brain worms so I might write a Frankenstein-inspired thing at some point. sth sth consequences of divine resurrection

11. What is your OC's weapon of choice? Have they ever actually used it?

RAAAAGH. AUTISM TIMEEEEE.

Boromir uses a hand-and-a-half arming sword (meaning it’s balanced for single or double-handed use, with a crossguard). it’s a really elegant sword, very simple and utilitarian. speaks to an adaptable combat style as well. but, interestingly? Boromir carries a Rohirric shield, and if you notice Rohirric swords don’t actually HAVE crossguards the way Gondorian blades do. this tracks, and was common with Roman and early Germanic swords— BECAUSE these cultures were Also relying on shields for blocking.

and an additional note, Faramir’s sword is single-handed. so we’ve got a ranger who prefers the use of a bow and hasn’t experimented much with his sword combat, and his brother who prefers a sword and carries a very versatile blade with 1) a Rohirric shield and 2) a ranger’s vambraces designed to protect his arms from a (nonexistent) bowstring. I just find Boromir’s mix of protective gear so interesting, esp if you consider he and Théodred as at LEAST friends. like Boromir carries so much of the people he cares for with him into strange lands even when he (arguably) has little need for such gear

12. Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?

yes and no. I think, not consciously? but he absolutely values himself lower than the people he cares for. he goes to Rivendell to keep Faramir out of danger, he takes multiple arrows to the chest and keeps fighting to defend Merry and Pippin. I think if there’s a risk of someone he loves getting hurt, all self-preservation goes out the window

13. If you met your OC, would the two of you get along?

oh I would be staring at him like a predatory animal and trying to psychically convince him to lay on me in full armor

14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?

HGH. ok I don’t think he necessarily. does?? and this is generally a Silly Little Headcanon bc of a comment a Most Beloved Friend made abt how everyone gets their autism from their dad (real+true) + now in my head “haha Faramir got his autism from Boromir instead” BUT. like genuinely I don’t think Boromir has an actual image of himself in his head or like processes that ppl perceive him, necessarily. and particularly when his father is holding him up as this aspirational figurehead for Gondor, like… I think he’s just himself, in his head. idk how to describe it well for the neurotypical ppl in the room snfskfjs sorry. like I don’t process myself as having Traits so ppl tell me they think I’m cool or funny or they enjoy being around me and it’s always like “!!! oh!” + I think Boromir is the same way. I think Faramir could describe Boromir to him + Boromir would just be like. “huh.”

VERY high by necessity. he’s a soldier he’s absolutely patched up his own injuries before, at least to hold over until he could see an actual healer

HMMM neutral good. he’s not chaotic enough to be.. chaotic (lol), and I think he’s too willing to go against Gondorian Popular Opinion to be lawful.

HMMMMM pain, actually. or “weakness.” I think if he can quantify it in his head as “showing weakness” then it’s getting stuffed in a mental box and Not Addressed

ok well. None. I think with his circumstances he had zero choice in his path. HOWEVER. I am deeply DEEPLY fond of Boromir learning how to play an instrument after the war ends. I STILL struggle to blow my wassail horn that shit takes SKILL that I do not currently have and Boromir was the BEST at blowing his horn?????? I think he deserves to learn how to play an instrument, esp bc Aragorn, Merry and Pippin would ALL be delighted to have Boromir play while they sing. Boromir learning hobbit folk songs????? Rohirric songs, to honor Théodred?? yeagh.

25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?

HES SO. FUNDAMENTALLY LOVING. love is such a core aspect of his character he is so wholly loving that the ring has NO CHOICE but to try to twist that love. bc it’s all Boromir has. love. im going to throw up abt him.

as for how he acts when no one’s around to see him… I don’t think much changes, tbh. he’s not the kind of man to Perform for anyone except his father, and then with the express purpose of placating the man and keeping his ire towards Faramir to a minimum

been betrayed? hm. truthfully, no, though I’m certain he felt betrayed by Aragorn’s reluctance to be anything resembling a king.

has He betrayed someone? Technically Yes, though again, if we apply the qualifier of “When He’s Of Sound Mind” the answer is no. his betrayal comes under the influence of a Malicious Magical Artifact Which Has Been Fucking With His Mind For Months, so.

AH. canon again. though what he does to move past it… mm. quite a lot of atonement, I think. perhaps of the self-destructive, working-himself-too-hard variety. I do think speaking with Faramir about *his* experience with the ring would help, because Boromir is the first to hold Faramir up as this sort of paragon of Goodness. so I think to know *Faramir* was tempted would help him better ground his experiences as, like…. Not A Deep Moral Failure Exclusive To Himself

ehehe. this is one thing I’ve touched on in a Faramir-centric fic, but the idea that the ring showed Boromir visions of Faramir dying at Denethor’s hand should he fail to return with the ring.

had Boromir lived to discover Denethor had nearly burned Faramir alive…… Mmmm. mmmmmmmm.

MM. his own actions. dead friends, dead loved ones. though if you mean literally, haunts him, I do like to think that Théodred’s Oðr pays Boromir a visit every now and again

see above. handles it?? mm. atonement, again. direct action. he accepts it and does what he can to make it right

HATE? Orcs, probably. Sauron. that tentacle motherfucker outside Moria. he’s not a hateful man, so. shrugs.

that ended badly in the interpersonal sense? mm, unlikely. more ended badly in the “somebody fucking died” sense.

I do think he had One (1) fledgling romance in Dol Amroth that ended with the other squire dying and that was sort of the catalyst for “ah. If I love people they’ll Probably Die, so maybe I won’t do that” baggage that he didn’t really unpack until, I think, Théodred. add the additional layers of Denethor Being Denethor and Boromir having such great standards to live up to…. with all the love in my heart, that relationship only happened bc Théodred saw Boromir, went “I need to fuck that Gondorian so bad it makes me look stupid” and proceeded to work his way through 1700 layers of gondorian mental bullshit just so he could suck some dick (me too bestie)

hide: What does your OC hide? Why do they hide it?

hm. my first instinct is to say “not much” but ultimately I think he’d hide anything he can quantify as “weakness.” his own distress, any physical pain if he needs to be up and moving, etc. he’s only able to share that earnest moment with Aragorn in Caras Galadhon bc of Galadriel’s influence. he’s not used to being seen. so, if there is sth that would hold him back from fulfilling his duty as a soldier it is absolutely getting hidden/ignored.

hunt: Who or what is your OC hunted by? A person, a feeling, a past mistake? Is your OC able to let their guard down, or are they constantly alert?

hm. not necessarily Hunted, but I do think he is followed by Denethor’s expectations. it’s sth I’ve talked abt in another ask + that I go into in the costuming doc but such a key element of Denethor’s design is his son’s motifs but Richer, Grander. so… I do think Boromir is constantly alert of, like, how his father will perceive him, bc there is this very insidious sort of competition, this need for Denethor to show his sons up (whether a conscious need or not). and I do think that would weigh on Boromir quite heavily

mask: Does your OC wear a mask, literally or figuratively? What goes on beneath it? Is there anyone in their life who gets to see who they are under the mask?

mm again I think he only really wears a mask/performs for Denethor. anyone else would be too much effort for too little reward. at least if he plays Golden Son for his father, it keeps Faramir from being harassed as much

however, as for who gets to see him when he’s.. not just unmasked but actually RELAXED… Faramir, his uncle and cousins, Théodred, Aragorn, the others in the fellowship but particularly Merry and Pippin

does he have nightmares? oh definitely. what he does in the small hours of the night? depends. if he’s on campaign/traveling/otherwise away from Minas Tirith he will either lay there in his bedroll and Think (bad) or get up and write letters. depends entirely on where he’s stationed/who he’s with. if he Is at home in Minas Tirith, I expect he just goes for a walk + looks at the sky

hm. I think he’s generally at ease with himself, or at least content with Not Thinking About These Things. I think, had he directly survived the arrows, he would have to grapple with like. the idea that he did prove Aragorn’s fears about men correct (whether Aragorn would agree with him or not)

This is just gonna be a lot of me saying thank you over and over, but THANK YOU! I try very hard to nail these characters. I think there's fully notes in my drafts saying "HE HAS TO DO THAT. IT'S GONNA FUCKING SUCK TO WRITE BUT IT'S WHAT HE'D DO SO HE HAS TO DO THAT" Everyone that thinks I'm a cool good writer would throw up if they saw what the draft looks like LMAO.

Syd's been very fun for me to write, because with Richie/Carmen I think in canon we've seen enough of them handling friendships/partners to understand how they work in those dynamics-- But Syd does not have girlfriends. Like that bitch has no one. I'm so broken about this. So envisioning how she'd work in that dynamic while still being herself has been very fun for me. Based on the way she acts in Season 3, I think I got it p down. She's a witty fun gworl who's also a bad bitch who also has anxiety. I love her.

Klara looooves public speaking. Did you know she found her doctoral public defence relaxing? Did you know she volunteers to do public speeches whenever she can? She loves it skfkkfkfkf

Patience hates it. She prefers listening and gets very anxious if she's supposed to give a public speech.

📱 - What social media do they use the most?

Klara would be a popular study related tumblr blog/instagram/youtuber honestly KFBFKFKFFK Not like what they are right now (awfully obsessed with consumption and unhealthy habits) but instead she'd have this somewhat realistic "i should've studied but went to the club" kind of account that she'd also use to talk abt important things like sustainability (it's her major after all, she Did get a doctorate in it) or criticize popular trends lmaoo I think she'd enjoy creating stuff for youtube the most bc she likes talking a lot & it'd be easier for her to work with, but she'd love using tumblr since you can have another sideblog here to post and reblog random stuff (like cat photos).

Patience would love instagram skfkkfkffkfk She likes the idea of being able to take a photo and post it for a while (stories) but also she just likes looking at pictures and hearing abt her friends' lives so it's an ideal one for her. She'd try out tiktok but would delete it in an hour after seeing too many things she doesn't like and being overwhelmed by all the music and effects. I don't think she'd post that much, maybe a nice photo of her daily life every now and then :)

Klara loves all kinds of green! Her favorite kind of green is forest green. She also likes blue and dark brown tones.

Patience loves purple, gold and white very much :3

☂️ - How do they feel about rain?

Klara is the kind of person that would go outside just to stand in the rain for fun. She finds it cool, especially when it happens on a warm summer day <3

Patience dislikes it, because it 1) affects her makeup and 2) is too wet.

🍽️ - What’s their favorite food?

Klara loves salads, and it's also one of the only food types she's able to properly make. Couscous salad with lots of greens, tomatoes, cheese and peanuts is her favorite. She also loves soups, her favorite is sweet potato soup and cheese & mushroom soup <3

Patience likes everything she is able to cook (and she's v good at it btw). Her favorite is probably some kind of pasta w/ chicken and a nice sauce, but she also likes sandwiches too bc they're easy, practical and can have literally any ingredient. Her go-to food when she feels sad, too :3

You smile as Bruce leans his head against your shoulder as he read the newspaper. While you pour coffee into his drink. "Well, it's a bit of a long story.." You mutter, pouring sugar packets as itdevolves into the dark abyss.

"I met them at a Chairity Ball," Bruce started, his tired blue eyes becoming hazy with nostalgia.

Bruce side of the story:

Bruce had came up to you, a charming smile on his handsome features as he playfully spoke with you. You scowled at him, unsure of him and his actions.

He offers to take the conversation onto the balcony. You oblige, allowing him to guide you to the terrace as you watch the city lights of Gotham together.

You made small talk and try to fight off the romantic mood, but as the city lights grow brighter once you he stared into your eyes. He was about to beg for your name.

Before you could reply, a scream is heard as a hand is wrapped around your wrist and gun pointed to your neck.

(Y/N) Side of The Story:

You and your group had decided to crash some fancy charity event because of the fun of it. Yet you had lost track of time and had you hadn't been having a good time. Even the fancy food couldn't help take your mind off of the fancy folk sneering at you.

Disgruntled, you throw a fancy glass of water into the fireplace as you watch your henchmen snack on bird livers.

Then the sweetheart billionaire strides up to you, instead of being swayed by his charms. You keep your guard up.

Soon finding yourself being lured outside with small flirting thrown here and there.

Soon a scream ripping you out from your haze as a gun was placed on your neck.

It was one of your henchmen.

"After that, (Y/N) slapped the gun out of their hand, found all the intruders and led them outside towards the police." Bruce explained as you stupidly nodded along.

Knowing that the truth was that you sent your drunk co-workers home in a Uber and took all their weapons.

So I was wondering - uuuuuuuu would you be willing to take as a prompt writing some period drama wolfstar??? It doesn't need to be a whole fic!! It can be a ficlet, a HC, whatever you want! Just - generally inspired in that post bc it owns me now 😅

Ohohohow, I can never resist a period drama! And that post was pure gold indeed. I wish I had the dedication and skill to write a proper story out of this, preferably with historically accurate clothing and all but alas...so here are some headcanons:

Wolfstar Period Drama

(take them with a grain of salt ok, it’s an absolute braindump, I did zero research and it kind of got out of hand lol)

- 18th century

- English Countryside Prime Time

- No homophobia in this world, thank you

- However, same sex marriage is unusual, especially among the higher classes because they’re all still obsessed with ✨blood heirs✨

- Sirius is a fetching young gentleman, owns a big estate somwhere in Whatevershire, think Mr. Darcy level of rich

- Remus on the other hand, is the definition of Charlotte from Pride and Prejudice:

- Except he’s not a burden to his parents because Hope would never make him feel like that (Lyall is dead, definitely only for plot purposes, sorry not sorry, he went off to a war and was killed - don’t ask me which war, I’m sure there was at least one)

- Sirius is kind of bored of life, doesn’t really know what to do with himself, he travelled a lot when he was younger but after his parents died he had to come back 

- as the oldest Black he inhereted the entire estate, which he begrudgingly takes care of (mainly because he loves the enormous fields, forests and a park that go with it)

- He attends the fancy balls, hosts one or two a season himself to be considered respectable by the rest of the society but overall doesn’t find joy in almost anything anymore

- Regulus, being the younger brother with basically no responsibility and no need to have heirs but with a decent amount of money to his name, decided to fuck it all and marry his childhood sweetheart Kingsley (yes, I’m pushing my Kingulus agenda everywhere I can) and they moved to London because a) it’s more progressive and “fun” and b) “ew countryside”

- Remus would love to teach but he was never able to finish his studies because when his father died they lost the only source of income and he had to return home

- Hope takes care of their little cottage, grows some vegetables in the small garden and knits because cute

- Remus sporadically homeschools here and there but never earns enough money so he’s basically always looking for a job

- He would love to start a school for children from the few small villages in Whatevershire who can’t afford to attend the fancy schools in the bigger towns but he has no money nor a teaching degree

- one day Regulus comes to visit and is all "wtf Sirius this place looks like a mess, get yourself together"

- Sirius realizes that yeah maybe he's not taking such a good care of the estate as he has thought....

- He decides to hire a caretaker

- Remus has been without a job for a while now so he's all "fuck it I can do anything at this point" fakes his resume (recommendation letter?) or whatever they did in the 18th centruy and gets the job

- he mostly bullshits his way through the job but he was always taught how to manage a tiny husehold AND on a budget so anything he deems unnecessary he simply throws out or cuts off

-“800 candles to illuminate one ballroom for ONE evening??? I think not.”

-”Who the fuck needs 10 horses”

-”Salmon for dinner EVERY WEEK?? Not on my watch.”

- Sirius loves Remus’ fire and drive, he’s amused by his anticts but also very humbled. He never realised how much he took his money and priviliges for granted.

- Remus is a bit apprehensive at first but he ends up spending a lot of time with Sirius when they discuss the potential of Sirius’ land, the what’s and how’s of the estate etc...

- They also take long walks together. A LOT of long walks. Supposedly to “better understand the terrain” but by Remus’ second week at the estate they just talk and don’t pay any attention to where they’re going. Remus adores Sirius’ stories from his travels. Admires his kindness and passion.

- Sirius soon realises that Remus has no idea how to handle an estate this size, maybe any estate at all, but...with Remus around....life doesn’t feel that miserable and pointless anymore

- He looks forward to every new day he can spend with Remus by his side and he finds joy in taking good care of the land he inherited

- Long story short: they fall in love

- It starts with too long glances and accidental hand brushing but ends up in full on period typical love declarations like “I feel myself bound to you by honour, affection and love so strong nothing can deter me” (Sirius) and "allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you" (Remus)

- And of course they get married

- They travel to all the places Remus loved from Sirius’ stories and discover new ones together

- Remus finishes his studies

- They visit Regulus and Kingsley a lot

- And when they settle back on THEIR estate, with Sirius’ money that he doesn’t hesitate to share with his husband, Remus can open the school he has always dreamt of

- Sirius gets involved in charity work

- They sell the Lupin’s old cottage and Hope starts living with them, finally able to grow whatever flowers she pleases in the small garden and greenhouse Sirius gifted her, instead of food to keep her family alive

- And everyone lives happily ever after

Phew! Thank you so much for this ask! This was definitely fun to think about! I’m a bit worried it ended up being a plotless fluff but hey, we need those from time to time.

Hello~! For a writing request, I'd like to propose the following: "On a scale of Dark Chuckle to Maniacal Overlord, how would you rate your evil laugh?" Basically King challenges the denizens of the Owl House plus Hunter and Lilith to an "evil laugh-off" in the name of diabolical glory (and also fun). Willow, Gus and Amity also join in.

“No! I, King of Demons, shall crush you and your families so that your bloodline is destroyed! Never again shall you or your kin blight my presence! Eeeheeheeheehee!”

Luz giggled.

“What?! No giggling, they’re supposed to be terrified!”

“Sorry, it’s just your laugh is so cute!”

“It is not, that is a diabolical cackle that spells doom!”

“Of course, of course.” Luz pushed back another giggle. “Very diabolical.”

“I’d like to hear you do one better!”

Luz deepened her voice. “Mwahahahahaha!” she cackled.

King yipped, then stuck his nose in the air. “Weak. Not even a little bit startling.”

“Uh-huh.”

“Fine, you want a judge? I’ll get a judge. HOOTY!”

Hooty?! “Oh, boy.”

The demon stuck his head in the room. “Hey!”

“Who has the better evil laugh, Luz, or, the obvious choice, me?”

“Mmmm, to be honest, both of you are kind of… lacking.”

Luz and King made sputtering noises in unison. “Lacking?” Luz demanded.

“Excuse you!” King yelped, “Who asked you?”

“You did, actu—”

“Oh, hush! Eda!”

Luz’s mentor clomped down the stairs. “What?”

“Hooty is making fun of our maniacal laughs!”

“Oh, yes, a truly horrendous offense. Okay, then, Hooty, let’s hear yours.”

Hooty opened his mouth wide, extending all the way to the floor, and delivered the most horrifying, shrieking laugh Luz had ever heard. The demon snapped his mouth shut, blinking expectantly at them.

Eda, Luz, and King all looked at each other, making a silent agreement to never ever admit how chilling that had been.

“Horrible,” King remarked.

“I’ve heard babies with more terrifying laughs,” Eda agreed.

Hooty slunk back out.

Luz grinned at Eda. “What about you?”

“Uh, my laugh already strikes fear into the hearts of any who hear it, thank you very much.”

“Wrong,” King said immediately, “Definitely wrong.”

“Well, aren’t you being judgy today.”

Luz jumped up. “Oh! I told Amity I’d help her with the story circle today, I’m supposed to read Destructo’s voice!” She wrinkled her nose at King. “She thinks my evil laugh is quite good.”

“Amity’s judgement towards you and your talents is questionable.”

“Oh, you want her to judge the contest instead?”

“No, I want Gus to judge. He’s all… announcer-y. He can do it.”

Luz shook her head. “Gus it is. I’ll give him a call to meet us up at the library.”

“What? I’m not going up to the library to watch you and Amity stare into each other’s eyes for half an hour, get him to come here!”

“No way, Lilith is supposed to be visiting today, and she and Hunter make Gus and Willow uncomfortable.”

“Oh, even more perfect, they’re both ex-bad guys who probably have an excellent grasp on what evil laughs sound like, we can have a whole panelof judges.”

“What part of Gus and Willow will be uncomfortable do you not—No, wait, this is good, actually. Bonding experience. A chance to be a little ridiculous, so everyone feels less tense around each other. It’ll be fun.”

“It will be tyrannical and diabolical and it will not be fun!”

“Yeah, sure, King, see you soon!”

Luz dashed off down the path to Bonesborough, slowing down when she reached the library. Amity met her at the door.

“Heyyyy, Luz, we’ve got a pixie infestation and… story hour’s been cancelled.”

“Awwwwwww.”

“Yeah… well, hey, you want to just… hang around town? Maybe look at some shops, or…”

“You wanna judge an evil laugh contest?” Luz burst out.

“I—what?”

Slow down, Luz. “King and I… are having a disagreement over who has a better evil laugh, and if none of us are doing anything anyway… dinner at the owl house?”

“I thought Lilith was coming over tonight?”

“Ah, she won’t mind. I mean, unless you mind—”

“No, no, sounds fun. An evil laugh contest, huh?”

“Yeah, Gus is judging. Hypothetically—Oh, I should call him.”

“Too late, King already did.”

Luz whirled around to see Gus and Willow standing behind her. “Oh, hey, guys! Yeah, I guess he’s pretty excited for this.”

“He said he’d crush you and you’d wallow in despair and shame for the rest of your life.”

“Hehe, aw, that’s adorable.”

The four of them started back towards the owl house, and Gus nudged Willow. “You should join in.”

“No thanks, I’m not looking to make another bunch of babies cry.”

A grin burst out on Luz’s face. “You can’t say that and then not join in!”

“Evil laugh! Evil laugh!” Gus chanted, “Evil laugh! Evil laugh!”

“Evil laugh!” Luz joined in, pushing open the door. Lilith and Hunter were there, and King was explaining the concept to them.

“Of course I would be an excellent judge,” Lilith said smoothly, “I could get a coven prisoner to break down at a mere giggle.”

Hunter snorted. “Yeah, of laughter at your little schoolgirl squeal.”

“Oh? Sounds like a challenge, perhaps you and I should join in on this competition.”

He flopped down on the couch, arms crossed. “Please. I could beat all of you, by a landslide. It wouldn’t even be fair. So I’ll just judge.”

“Bold words from someone whose voice still cracks,” Eda commented.

Hunter flushed. “It does not!”

“Just did,” Luz offered. Her friends nodded in agreement.

“Fine! Fine! I will join your silly little competition, and I will prove all of you wrong!”

King raised a hand. “Wait, if you two are joining in, then who’s judging?”

“I will!” Hooty offered.

“No!”

“I’ll judge,” Gus volunteered, “Totally nonbiased.”

“I can judge, too,” Amity agreed.

“Boooooooooooooooooooo, you’ll just give Luz a ten out of ten!” King complained, “No way! The judges are stacked!”

“Okay, okay,” Eda interjected, “Gus, Hooty, and I will judge. The rest of you dorks laugh evilly to your heart’s content. King, you first, since you started this whole thing. No screaming powers.”

King cleared his throat. “Ready for the best evil laugh you will ever hear in your miserable lives? Ahem. Ehehehehehehehehe, EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!”

He snapped his mouth shut, staring expectantly at the judges.

“Kind of pitchy,” Hooty commented.

Gus nodded thoughtfully. “Needs work, could be scary, though, in a horror doll kind of way.”

Eda tilted her hand back and forth. “A solid 5, I think.”

“Fools, all of you!”

“Yeah, yeah, sure, Luz, you’re up.”

“Oh, gosh. Now I’m kind of feeling pressured.”

“Just do it!” Gus called with a grin.

“Don’t rush me! Hehehe. Okay.” Luz coughed. “Ehhhh. Mmmm. Okay. Mwahahahahahahahaha, ahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!”

Amity clapped.

“Very nice, a classic villain laugh,” Hooty nodded.

“Little bit bland, but A+ for effort,” Eda agreed.

Gus gave her a thumbs up. “Sure, I can get behind it. Wouldn’t be scared, but definitely weirded out.”

Hunter cracked his knuckles. “Yeah, okay, amateur hour is over.”

“Boooooooooooooooooo!” King called, “I bet your laugh stinks!”

Hunter stuck his tongue out, then shook himself, taking a deep breath. “Ha. Haha. Ahahahahaha, AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, HAHA, HAHA! Haha… hehehe…”

Hooty twisted his head around. “Mmm, very maniacal.”

“Little deranged,” Gus nodded, “More a crazy laugh? Yeah, okay, that was alright, I guess.”

Eda clicked her tongue. “Six out of ten.”

Lilith put a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, we talked about this, it’s okay to lose at something, it’s just a silly contest.”

Lilith rolled her shoulders, shooting him a grin. “However, it is a silly contest that I intend to win.” She stood up straight, holding her hands in front of her like a singer. “Ahem.” She laughed softly, mockingly. Then louder. “Haha… ohhhh.” And she faded off into another chuckle before stopping.

“Absolutely horrifying, Lulu,” Hooty nodded.

“I call bias!” King interjected, “Hooty is not a reliable judge for Lilith, and his input should not be counted!”

“Seconded,” Eda commented, “Sounded like a bleating sheep to me.”

“Not fair!” Lilith complained, “If you’re going to count Hooty out for being my friend, then you have to discount Edalyn, too, since she’s my sister!”

“Aw, it’s just a silly contest, Lilith,” Hunter commented from the couch, “Don’t get so worked up over it!”

She flopped down next to him, somehow looking grouchy and amused at the same time. “Brat.”

had an impulse to dress up as Tintin with all the stuff I could find in my room and I think I really nailed it!! I hope to get a similar haircut to him!! honestly he’s so fun to dress up as and really gave me some gender euphoria!! I love him so much!!
