Holocaust - the children
Some 1.5 million children were murdered during the Holocaust. This figure includes more than 1.2 million Jewish children, tens of thousands of Romani  children and thousands of institutionalized handicapped children..
Nazi persecution, arrests, and deportations were directed against all members of the targeted families without concern for age.
Plucked from their homes and stripped of their childhoods, many children had witnessed the murder of parents, siblings, and relatives. Many faced starvation, illness and brutal labor, until all of them were consigned to the gas chambers.
They lived and died during the dark years of the Holocaust and were victims of the Nazi nightmare …

Cannibal Angel AU Vaggie’s trip to Heaven goes much the same as in canon, except she does insist on a couple of detours into shops to get souvenirs for the children.
Emily wants to hear all about said kids and Vaggie has to remind herself that the angels won’t find bite scars endearing. She honestly couldn’t care less if they judge her, but the thought of any of the angels judging Rosie or the children? If she still had her wings they would be bristling.

Day 3: The Children | Whispering Breeze
Tumblr media
Manwë and the Children (before they had their falling out lol)...
A bit of feels tonight <3
Words: 100
Characters: Manwë & Children
Warnings: /
Tumblr media
“They’ve awoken!”
Loud were the cries as the coming of the much-awaited and already dearly beloved Children became known.
“They’re scared and tired, they should rest!”
Varda kindled her brightest stars, and Yavanna fluffed up the grasses they were spread out on as all mothers would to facilitate sweet, peaceful dreams.
When everyone had withdrawn into their element to catch a glimpse of the newcomers, Manwë intoned the shivering lullaby that had just waited to be brought forth.
Thus, the Children fell asleep to the whispering caress of the breeze, and soon, they joined their voices to that marvellous song.

The Babadook and We Need to Talk About Kevin are other great horror movies about motherhood when a woman isn’t ready to become a mother since we have movies like Apartment 7A and Beetlejuice 2 doing that same topic.
Babadook being about a woman who was fine with starting a family with her husband at her side but he dies in a wreck on the way to get her to the hospital which kickstarts severe trauma and resentment for her. She will always see the night of her son’t birth as the night her husband died and she herself almost died and it’s a heavy trauma and we watch her with a kid who acts out constantly and her crumbling mental health and a family that is more judgmental than they are supportive. The temptation for her to let this vampiric creature take her son just to be rid of him to live her life again, the idea that if he was dead she could be happy and the realization that isn’t true and that she does love her child but needs help to deal with her grief and trauma.
We Need to Talk About Kevin definitely ties heavy with Beetlejuice 2 and Apartment 7A with the fact our main character is a woman who was free spirited and happy, she travelled the world and saw so many things then she meets a man and falls in love but then she is pregnant and he is thrilled because all he wants is to be a dad but all she wanted was to travel and live freely. We watch her dread her first pregnancy and resent the limited freedom then how the baby screams and cries seemingly hating her but adoring his father, how she’s now limited to life at home while her husband is still free to do what he wants with his life.
Then a way more obscure horror film called Prevenge which follows a heavily pregnant woman who swears her unborn baby is a demon forcing her to kill. In reality she is deeply traumatized following the sudden death of her partner who was an avid climber who unfortunately fell to his death climbing a cliff side with a group he knew. She delusions herself believing it was no accident and they murdered him and begins picking them off one by one. Things by the remaining friend are revealed that shine a new light on the story honestly making it more fucked up. Again it’s another movie where a woman struggles with either being a mother or becoming a mother. She’s mentally ill and traumatized but hides it from social services for fear of them just taking her baby from her.
Again people thinking motherhood and pregnancy horror is new is funny to me because I can list countless films around this topic.
