Holocaust - the children
Some 1.5 million children were murdered during the Holocaust. This figure includes more than 1.2 million Jewish children, tens of thousands of Romani  children and thousands of institutionalized handicapped children..
Nazi persecution, arrests, and deportations were directed against all members of the targeted families without concern for age.
Plucked from their homes and stripped of their childhoods, many children had witnessed the murder of parents, siblings, and relatives. Many faced starvation, illness and brutal labor, until all of them were consigned to the gas chambers.
They lived and died during the dark years of the Holocaust and were victims of the Nazi nightmare …

Cannibal Angel AU Vaggie’s trip to Heaven goes much the same as in canon, except she does insist on a couple of detours into shops to get souvenirs for the children.
Emily wants to hear all about said kids and Vaggie has to remind herself that the angels won’t find bite scars endearing. She honestly couldn’t care less if they judge her, but the thought of any of the angels judging Rosie or the children? If she still had her wings they would be bristling.

Day 3: The Children | Whispering Breeze
Tumblr media
Manwë and the Children (before they had their falling out lol)...
A bit of feels tonight <3
Words: 100
Characters: Manwë & Children
Warnings: /
Tumblr media
“They’ve awoken!”
Loud were the cries as the coming of the much-awaited and already dearly beloved Children became known.
“They’re scared and tired, they should rest!”
Varda kindled her brightest stars, and Yavanna fluffed up the grasses they were spread out on as all mothers would to facilitate sweet, peaceful dreams.
When everyone had withdrawn into their element to catch a glimpse of the newcomers, Manwë intoned the shivering lullaby that had just waited to be brought forth.
Thus, the Children fell asleep to the whispering caress of the breeze, and soon, they joined their voices to that marvellous song.

I wanna know right now from people who enjoy Thin Dad genre, if there are favorited terms of endearment the Thin Man uses for Mono.
like my fav from Cycle of Hurt, I get ended each time the Thin Man refers to Mono or Six as his "little one".
Argh! so wholesome! I need more Thin Dad healing and care for the kids after the latest chapter. We're all sobbing. We are not okay.
Cycle of Hurt - go read! Binge it!

finding out books you read at a comparatively young age are considered “YA” or “teen” is incredibly strange. i read full novels by the age of 7, and i had no idea that was in any way different from what other kids my age were doing. maybe i was lonely as a kid, but reading novels cover to cover on my own with minimal assistance was very normal, and even expected from my family. i read The Hobbit at age 8, all by myself, and i know several children aged 7 who can’t even read Dr Seuss with confidence. i read The Secret Garden, Oliver Twist, several full series of books… and i never though it strange that i’d read them before the age of 10. and now i’m looking at my cousins and other kids around me wondering if literacy rates have fallen that drastically or if i was a complete anomaly.

I feel like when or if Theo and his friends join the battle against the angels, it's like the release the baby scene from the croods
That’s what it would have been like if they’d joined the battle. As it stands, no kids were allowed anywhere near the Hotel. No one was going to risk the children’s lives.
