Henrys a mind-flayer meat puppet?
Haven't seen the first shadow, but so far, what I've gathered from bits of information, past analyzing of his character and the show, it seems like Henry could at times, not be fully in control of himself, as in, being controlled by the mindflayer.
Dude is literally getting fucking sesame streeted and they were right, he's not the mastermind, he's just the five star general. This could explain his weird personality switches and possibly even the Hawkins Lab massacre if we learn more. Woo.

Various WWF Wrestlers x Sunny- "Slumber Party Massacre"
I wish Sunny could've been in some WWF video games back in the 90's, like how Sable, Chyna, Jacqueline, Lita, etc. used to be in WWF video games.
______________________________________________________________
On Sunny's "Sunny Undercover" segment on "Shotgun Saturday Night", usually she'd be sitting in a bed while talking into a microphone.
But sometimes, she'd interview a wrestler sitting next to her on that bed, like Mankind/Mick Foley, Vader and the Headbangers.
But this Sunny Undercover segment was different.
During this "Shotgun Saturday Night" episode, after Sunny's entrance music played and she showed up in the WWF arena wearing a very short babydoll negligee with a smile on her face.
"Since I'm talking in a bed, I may as well wear this!" Sunny stated into the microphone with a smile on her face, mentioning her negligee.
What she said got a loud pop from the male fans in the audience.
Sunny then sat on top of the bed in front of the titantron, and she introduced into the microphone male wrestlers who will be on her Sunny Undercover show tonight.
Those male wrestlers she invited to her show were Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, and Brian Pillman.
It's usually one or 2 wrestlers she will sometimes chat with on "Sunny Undercover", but this time it's various wrestlers.
She was basically almost having a slumber party with them.
Those aforementioned male wrestlers showed up to Sunny's bed and, with smiles on some of their faces, some of them even sat down and laid next to Sunny on the bed.
Hunter, Shawn, RockaBilly and Brian all had their long hair hanging down.
"I wasn't allowed to have slumber parties with boys growing up!" Sunny loudly announced into the microphone. "But now I can!"
She did receive a pretty loud pop from the male fans in the audience shouting that, although her with all of these male wrestlers in bed with her makes her seem like a slut.
But considering she made a sex tape with someone in an Elmo from "Sesame Street" costume and Bret Hart was accused of having "Sunny Days" with her...
"I would let one of these men paint my toenails like I was at a slumber party!" she added, holding one of her feet out. "But I don't know if these men can paint nails!"
Unlike Sunny, those aforementioned male wrestlers weren't wearing sleepwear.
However, Sunny did get to talk with and interview all of those male wrestlers she invited in tonight's episode.
While she interviewed some of them, she slipped her feet and some of her legs under the covers sometimes.
Some of those male wrestlers---especially Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels and Brian Pillman---smiled as they chatted with her.
There are so many other handsome male wrestlers she could've interviewed in these episodes, but unfortunately, those male wrestlers are off in other companies and can't come to the WWF, whereas others are in the WWF but look terrible now.

Sesame street LORE:
O governo inicialmente criou a Vila Sésamo para realizar testes genéticos em humanos mutantes cria o programa de laboratório/tv de teste conhecido como Vila Sésamo sem o conhecimento do público, os atores/marionetes estão sofrendo
o monstro do biscoito é diabético

So, considering you are a passionate fan of music released in 1971, I feel justifiably obligated to ask you what you think of Buffy Sainte-Marie's 'She Used to Wanna Be a Ballerina' album. 😂 (Also, it would make me beyond happy if you could post more about Buffy, my friend! Thank you! ❣)
Buffy Sainte-Marie + Crazy Horse - what’s not to love? LOL I confess that it was the Crazy Horse connection that caught my attention first. I had a general idea who Buffy was, had seen her on TV a few times, but I was a big Crazy Horse fan. News that they were her backing band for this album was easily enough for me to scoop it up.
They weren’t doing anything much with Neil Young in 1971 (other than this album, on which Neil also appeared!), but they had released a tasty solo album in February 71, produced by Jack Nitzsche (who also produced this, and would later marry Buffy), and featuring Ry Cooder (also featured here, although did not marry Buffy).
(btw, the first place that Buffy, Ry, and Jack worked together was on the Nic Roeg film Performance, starring Mick Jagger. People obviously remember Mick in that, but musically, Buffy was the best part!)
She Used To Wanna... also features Jesse Ed Davis, a Native American guitarist and singer who was a frequent “usual suspect” at these sort of “sure, invite everyone!” jam albums of the era, and played a prominent role at 1971′s biggest concert (at least in the US), The Concert for Bangladesh on August 1.
(I know you know  RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked The World, the documentary about indigenous music’s influence on rock and roll, which has chapters on both Buffy and Jesse Ed. I just watched it again recently, and love it! A reminder of Buffy’s pivotal role in classic rock history. Not mentioned in the film: she relentlessly championed the work of her fellow Canadians Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, helping them get their first record deals.)
youtube
I haven’t listened to She Used To Wanna Be A Ballerina for a while, so I definitely need to do that, along with posting more pictures of Buffy.  (I can’t believe I’ve only posted two!)
But I’ll tell you what still stands out to me about that record years later. “Smack Water Jack” is an underrated track from Carole King’s Tapestry that got a ton of airplay at the time. Quincy Jones did an instrumental cover as the title track for his terrific 1971 album, too, but it has somehow faded to obscurity since then. Buffy takes a playful trifle, and turns it into a powerful fable of men of color who explode into violence in response to the violence visited upon them, and self-satisfaction of whites in authority who answer their demands for better living conditions by killing them on the spot.
No need for a trial when you can murder them in the streets, right? “You can't talk to a man when he don't wanna understand / And he don't wanna understand” hits different when Buffy sings it, and in 2020 for that matter.
It’s also just a terrific performance whose combination of soul and rock and roll and driving piano in a sort of Old West-sounding context would have made this sound right at home on a record like Elton John’s Tumbleweed Connection  or something by The Band. I’m limited to five video embeds per post so I can’t embed it here, so I'm linking instead: anyone who hasn’t heard this definitely needs to.
Her cover of Neil’s CSNY track “Helpless” has things I like even better than Neil’s original, including Merry Clayton standing in for CSN. Buffy’s version is more muscular (thanks again to Crazy Horse), and taps even more deeply into the isolation of the song that the star power of CSNY somewhat obscured.
Buffy’s version also made a brief but memorable appearance in the 2018 film Hotel Artemis, starring Jodie Foster. A weird little movie that I loved maybe more than it deserved LOL but I recommend nonetheless:
youtube
I know that this album gets attention because of the unusual number of covers, including one by Leonard Cohen, and a cover of a cover that Leonard had made famous on top of that, called "Song of the French Partisan” (hers is the far superior version imo, a song of French resistance to Nazi occupation from the perspective of a woman hiding a resister), but there are a couple of standout originals too.
I love the title of this record, and the title track is a delightful little stomper that playfully cautions against equating the intentions of grown women with the childhood fantasies they’ve grown out of. More Merry Clayton goodness here on backing vocals too.
youtube
“Soldier Blue” is a powerful song first written for the 1970 film of the same name, billed at the time as “The most savage film in history” -- and maybe it was. It used the 1864 Sand Creek Massacre as a metaphor for Vietnam, and it's still shockingly brutal. It was the third-highest grossing movie in the UK in 1971, though, and the single became a top-10 hit for Buffy there.
It didn’t do as well here, either the song or the movie. Perhaps not shockingly in retrospect, Soldier Blue was pulled from American theaters after a few days, the Vietnam metaphor not at all lost on the Nixon administration.
As horrifying as it was, this is about when I was reading Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee (first published in 1970), and Soldier Blue resonated with me in a whole lot of ways. Here’s the song in the opening credits of the movie.
youtube
I was also really struck by “Moratorium”, which is the story of “Universal Soldier” (from her 1963 debut, but a bigger hit for Donovan in 1965), coming from the opposite direction. In the earlier song, she blamed war on the soldiers who think that fighting is honorable, but here, she has empathizes with the young men, boys really in many cases, who’ve been lied to by their countries, their parents, and even their friends. They’re not vainglorious. They’ve been duped by people they trusted.
(I don't think she takes enough into account how many men sign up to fight because they want to embrace and celebrate their worst, most violent impulses, which was of course an undercurrent of “Universal Soldier”, but I appreciate her empathy here. More than one thing is true at a time.)
Buffy goes even farther, though, calling on soldiers to support and validate demands for peace as explicitly supporting them, summed up in the unforgettable cry, "Fuck the war and bring our brothers home!"
1971 was the peak of antiwar demonstrations in the US, with the biggest crowds ever seen in this country until the 2017 Women’s March. The May 1971 demonstrations pretty much shut down Washington, culminating with Vietnam Veterans Against The War throwing back their medals on the steps of the US Capitol, incredibly powerful stuff to see on TV in my formative years, and Buffy was right there in it. Anti-war songs were a cottage industry for sure, but nobody was writing with the nuance and empathy that Buffy was.
Here’s a 1972 performance of “Moratorium”, Buffy and a piano, and more emotionally bare than that:
youtube
There’s obviously lots more to say about Buffy, far outside the realm of protest music that was actually just a small part of her musical palette -- her pioneering experiments with electronic music, her educational philanthropy starting in her 20s, Sesame Street, you name it. Her commercial peak was still in front of her, and while I can’t say that this is my favorite of her records, it does have some of my favorite songs of hers, and 1971 and She Used to Wanna Be A Ballerina is definitely where I went from knowing who Buffy Sainte-Marie was to being a fan.
I'll also note as I do now and again that while this blog started as an offshoot of a book on 1971 that I’d started but abandoned, I mostly listen to music released now. That’s always been my policy, including in 1971. When 1972 rolled up, I was mostly listening to music from 1972, music from ‘80 in ‘80, ‘91 in ‘91, 2018 in 2018, etc., to name just a few other favorites. (Plus The Beatles, okay? LOL I still listen to The Beatles every day. No apologies.) Honestly? It took me until 2011, in my fifties, when a whole bunch of 40th anniversary editions of 1971 albums got released all at once that made me think, “Wait a minute, this was maybe THE pivotal year in classic rock history!”
So yeah, the historian in me dug into 1971, but even though I happened to be alive and enthralled by music in that year, what I’m doing here has nothing to do with nostalgia, or any idea that that was the *best* year in music, even if for the narrow slice of music that is classic rock, yeah, it absolutely is. For soul/R&B too, and for the explosion of women artists outside the even narrower confines of pop as well. This is not subject to debate. No year like it, before or since. It's just that classic rock is a such a narrow slice, and I like my slices wide. LOL Which is also why my blog has less and less 1971 content as I go along.
While my general policy is that my favorite year for music is THIS year, this particular year hasn’t left me as much energy as usual for listening to music. Some of it is These Trying Times™, some of it is my bipolarity and schizophrenia getting the better of me in waves, as is the way with these, uhm, things. (Keep taking those meds, kids!) I listen to music and post about the people making it as a creative act, not a passive or reflexive one, and I just haven’t felt as creative as usual.
(This is also has everything to do with why so many Asks have been piling up unanswered. I apologize if you’re one of the many kind and indulgent souls who’s gotten in touch, but I swear I’m gonna get to ‘em all!)
To get an idea of what I’m ACTUALLY passionate about right now, my “to be edited later” running list of 2020 favorites randomly added to a playlist as I encounter them, to be properly curated later, is at Spotify, cleverly entitled “2020″ -- 94% women, which is about right. LOL
But since I do in fact listen to old stuff (by which I mean 2019 LOL), I made a list of mostly 2020 bangers from women rockers with some tasty treats from 2019 that I haven’t been able to let go of just yet, inspired by a post I saw at tumblr saying that punk music by women is just plain better (also beyond debate), called “Women Bangers: A Tumblr New Classics Jam”. I’ll be posting an essay with a YouTube playlist soon, because god forbid that I only talk briefly about anything LOL and most of these women need to be heard AND seen.
Like Buffy Sainte-Marie, whom you'll both see and hear more often on my blog soon. Thanks for the reminder! Always a pleasure to hear from you and be challenged by you. :-)
Peace, Tim

HBO Max New Releases:. July 2021
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
LeBron James might be out of the NBA playoffs, but he’s still angling to be a big part of the summer entertainment season. That’s because HBO Max’s list of new releases for July 2021 is highlighted by a very special sequel.
Space Jam: A New Legacy premieres on July 16. will find LeBron teaming up with the Looney Tunes in a Warner Bros. IP-extravaganza. Can ‘Bron and the Looney Tunes beat the Goon Squad before Warner Bros.’ server steals LeBron “Bronny” Jr.’s soul (or something)? Let’s hope so. The two other major WB releases this month, No Sudden Move and Tom and Jerry in New York, both come to HBO Max on July 1.
HBO Max is also bringing some fun TV shows to its stream this month. The long-awaited Gossip Girl revival premieres on July 8. That will be followed by Mike White’s satirical limited series The White Lotus on July 11. Ronan Farrow’s excellent book Catch and Kill gets a docuseries adaptation on July 12.
July 1 will see the arrival of library titles like Planet of the Apes, Reservoir Dogs, and Scream. Recent hit Judas and the Black Messiah comes to HBO Max on that date as well. It’s a good month for geek TV with the Doctor Who 2020 Christmas Special (July 1), Nancy Drew season 2 (July 3), and Batwoman season 2 (July 27) all coming home to their streaming residence.

Chapter 1 - Communication of Silence
ao3 link *clicky* masterpost link (contains ALL works - the last entry is CoS!) monthly updates until finished Logan and Virgil work at their university's library at the side of their studies. As Virgil calls Logan late at night, he knows something is wrong and decides to visit him - turn out this was a good decision. He temporarily moves in with Logan. Turns out there were so many things he didn't know about Virgil after all these months of working together. Analogical, minor moceit and ThRo. The warnings are for PAST THINGS and especially warned for in specific chapters! you CAN skip them
It was silent and dark as Logan was about to lock the library and go home. The lights shut and silence engulfing him, giving the place a ghastly yet calming atmosphere, he only realised the call incoming as his the display of his phone started blinking. It illuminated the the library like the our days and he was quick to speed up his steps as he walked back to the counter to gather his things.
Instead of leaving as planned, he took the phone and call, not minding the displayed name. It was probably his boss asking about whether he was done already or maybe write something up, grab a thing before leaving because Logan was trusted with these tasks and this information. As the librarian pressed the phone against his ear as he picked up the bag he had brought with him, the black fabric weighing from his shoulder as he let it rest. But every expectation he held for the other side, everything around him and all his worries and plans suddenly dispersed into nothing but thin air as his attempted to prompt the caller.
All he heard was a choked back sob and his heart twisted painfully, his mind stretching like the universe as his thoughts spread into every direction.
‘’Virgil’’, he answered mindlessly and suddenly his mind was void. Every question and advice died in its beginning before it could even reach his conscience and he felt ready to cry, just hearing his co-worker pretending to not cry. Logan did not know what had happened but he was ready to battle everything and everyone that had caused this massacre of tears that were likely to fall from Virgil’s usually pale cheek. It probably was not pale right now. And honestly, the usual image in his mind of Virgil - curling in laughter, holding his stomach with one arm and hiding his smile and flushing cheeks behind his left hand - was blown away as the other must have received his lame attempt at prompting the conversation.
Virgil seemed dissolve into tears, the realisation of Logan being on the other side of the line gave him a feeling that released his fears and cries. Logan stopped walking. He was not able to focus on his usual way right now and after his hands had automatically locked the library, the nerd just stood before the building and tried it again.
‘’You hate phone calls’’, he stated weakly, his prompting helpless and he looked at his feet. If he knew where Virgil was, he would just come to him.
’’y-yeah’’, the other’s voice came. It sounded too calm and suddenly all tears and sobs were gone. However, Logan was able to detect the breathless gasps the younger student seemed to hide.
Why was he calling him if he could not talk? If he did not want to reveal what was up? All evening, Virgil had not texted him at all. Since they parted after his shift, he had not even heard a word from the other. Not even from social media.
’’Virgil’’, Logan tried again, a frustrated sigh following and he wiped the blank expression back into his face as he tried desperately to remain calm, ‘’can you breathe? Where are you right now?’’
Logan waited, listening intently. He did know that Virgil was prone to messaging him, blinking through tears and trying to breathe when one of his panic attacks overwhelmed him. He never told the science student why they happened or whether this was usual.
It happened to often for it to be a rare occasion. Virgil knew too many coping mechanisms and facts about panic and anxiety attacks to be new or strange to these. And he had only worked with him for about nine months by now.
‘’Hmm’’, the tiny male said on the other side and Logan could hear a sudden crashing sound in the back and a sudden, distorted yelp from directly next to the speaker. ‘’home’’, he tried again, voice sounding as if it was cowering to Logan’s feet and about to beg for help and protection.
It was everything he needed to hear. His body mechanically pushed into motion by the subtle call for something apparently only Logan could provide. Questions whirled in his mind as he speed walked around the corner and started walking to the street he knew gave home to his fragile yet mysterious co-worker.
‘’I am coming, Virgil’’, he mused, his voice sharp and sudden and he could basically hear him flinch as the breathing on the other side suddenly became thin and erratic again and Logan wanted to apologise for his words but there was no back. Not on his way nor on his track of words. ‘’I am coming to get you and you can stay with me. I want to know you safe.’’
There was nothing but a weak sound, akin to a whine coming from the other side of the line. He did not seem powerful enough to put up a fight as usual.
The line did not go dead. Logan stayed all the while and listened to Virgil’s breathing evening out.
Soon enough, he arrived and rung the bell at the door. The lights were on, scarring the night’s protective coat of the night and Logan pocketed his phone instead of hanging up. The half-giant waited patiently for a few moments before he heard steps and a shadow approaching.
To his surprise, not Virgil opened the door but someone else. A male stood before him, older and taller than Virgil but still shorter than Logan.
The man seemed insecure on his legs, the feet a little askew on the floor as if one had decided to go one way while the other had its mind on another direction and they just could not agree on one solution. His brown, neck-long hair was lacking in colour and almost looked like fallen ashes from a long-gone fire, his grey-blue eyes seemed distant and unfocused as he took in Logan’s appearance without a word at first, his empty mind desperately trying to grab a word, make up a sentence and ask why this man, this stranger, suddenly showed up at his doorstep in the middle of the night without a word. Every time he seemed to make sense of the scatter letters in his brain, he let let his grip on them slip again and all the effort was for nothing. His clothing was baggy and dirty and it reeked of alcohol. Behind him, a scene of chaos and dirt could be seen
‘’I am looking for Virgil’’, he stated, feeling oddly out of place. His voice was blunt and direct as much as his words but the underline seemed like the aftertaste of unpleasant medicine and a tone of ice could be felt. It was not the winter’s temperature that gave the man before him a sense that messing with the stranger who filled the entire door frame with his height was more than a lost cause and wasted try.
Logan was so properly dressed, so neat and tidy and not even a single strand of his hair seemed to be out of control, out of a special frame despite his fast-paced steps that had brought him here through the night. He was too good for this neighbourhood, for these houses that were more ruins and the street lights that have given up on life too long ago. This place honestly looked as if it had seen war and the buildings and street suffered from too much depression to try or really give any fuck of what was going on.
The man before Logan was just a sad representation of this place. But a thought tugged at him and it made his heart ache.
Virgil did not belong here. Virgil, bright and shy student Virgil with his dark humour and slow affection did not belong into a place that had given itself up, that had declared its own death as it lost hope in its own potential.
Virgil had potential and Logan would be damned if he did not try to help him and make his dreams come true,
The man before Logan - probably Virgil’s roommate? Maybe his father? He did not know - shrugged and pointed at the corridor behind him.
‘’’Little Virgil is not happy right now’’, he spat out as Logan passed him but the nerd tried to ignore him, tried to not shake and shiver when these words crawled under his skin and rubbed into him. ‘’Virgil was bad and he will be bad to you, too.’’
Stay calm, he told himself, Virgil needs you, needs you there for him and not make a fuss and break up a fight.
As he stepped further into the house, which was just remotely warmer than the icy air outside, he started noticing the foul smell everywhere, the mold creeping up the walls and turning the white walls into a piss yellow that faded into a brownish shade around the edges and corners. Dirt and trash cluttered the floor and there were glass shreds and red droplets. Pieces of wood could be seen there and they gave him the impression as if they used to belong to each other and Logan pieced the mental image of a dark brown old chair together that had given in under too much force.
Soon enough, but not fast enough for Logan’s taste and less in favour of his stomach and nostrils, he arrived at a door that looked stabbed and mistreated, just as abused as the rest of this house. But this one was Virgil’s door and seeing it wrecked and hurt just let him assume the pain it laying behind it, the misery it was shielding his sight and body from.
‘’Virgil, I am here’’, he whispered softly as he picked his phone up with one hand and knocked with the other, ‘’please let me in.’’
Hastily, before his mind could really grasp it, he added a more silent yes very much audible ‘’I am alone’’ and it turned out to be the ‘’open sesame’’ for the wooden shield that kept him separated from Virgil.
A few moments later, he heard a click to his ear and the call ended. His display shut itself after blinking the notification into his eyes with a purple light. He had purple lights assigned to messages from Virgil. Right after, the door’s lock made a heavy shoving sound, a dull and brazen sound that resonated in his chest before the wood creaked open and a slender hand pulled him into the unknown.
Logan was faster out of the corridor and in Virgil’s room than he had anticipated and now he was standing in a dark room, merely illuminated by the agonizingly white screen of a laptop that seemed to be next to ... a bed?
Logan could not tell but his dark blue eyes tried their best to adjust to the darkness around them and find some sort of orientation in this strange setting.
‘’Lo’’, the hand holding onto his arm seemed to whisper and he directed his attention to the small student before him, looking so small and tiny in the scarce light on the other side of the awfully small room. The bed was a singe sized and would probably fit up to five times into the entire room if every furniture was kept out and the floor was taken up completely.
Logan narrowed his eyes on the black cluster of fabric before him, the oversized hoodie sitting on the thin frame and wearing Virgil rather than being worn by him. The lack of proper light somewhat gave the librarian the impression that there was even more hidden than his co-worker seemed to let on.
But instead of asking, instead of making the other talk and force him into opening up, he simply opened his arms and gently tugged the tiny student closer with a loose grip on shoulder. Virgil flinched a bit at the contact and a soft sob broke from his throat but he easily followed the tug and fell into Logan’s arms with a relief that carried their weight together.
‘’Why are you here?’’
Logan gently rubbed over Virgil’s back, trying to calm him down as he shivered and sobs kept resonating in his body and making him shake and jerk his fragile bones in his co-worker’s arms who loosely held the student close. His voice sounded as if he had smoked a whole packages of cigarettes and strummed down his vocal chords like an instrument.
Logan just wanted this voice to be full of sarcasm and spite again, or even better, just laughing shyly and with a hand in front of his mouth to muffle the sounds of his joy even though it made Logan’s heart warm up as if these nice sounds ignited a fire within his chest to stay over and camp. Actually, Virgil had more than a campfire in his chest but rather a special place, a true palace compared to his actual living conditions.
‘’I am here because you called me, Virgil. I am not letting you stay here, do you understand?’’
His voice rang through the thin student’s frame and he let out a silent whimper before he gave a soft sound of approval before he started crying properly. The statement seemed to have broken any restraints within him that had him try to keep it together and not cry or anything.
However, now he was full on sobbing, his choking tears and desperate gasps like sirens to Logan and he carefully scooped him up and carried him to the bed to really inspect him and make it more comfortable for his tired feet and Virgil who must be more than exhausted after all the panic and crying he seemed to be through. After all, Logan had not been holding him in his arms but also up on his feet as he had embraced the shivering form of his friend.
A few steps and a few careful movements later and Logan stood before the bed, about to set the other down when Virgil seemed to realise what was happening and started moving in a sudden jerk backwards, his head snapping from Logan’s shoulder into a further distance and the two looked at each other as Virgil frantically tugged and pushed at Logan. The latter had no idea what was happening but the punk with the purple hair squirmed further until Logan carefully let him down again, putting him gently down onto his feet again and holding onto his sides as he tried to stabilise him. The librarian was not sure whether the other was able to stand without him after all, so he just wanted to make sure.
Virgil stood on his legs, seeming like a thin single stick poking out from the ground and bending in the slight breeze of the world. He carefully walked to the side and placed his sleeve-covered right over a light switch next to his bed and the hooded figure ducked away a bit, hiding from the light as the painful orange shine hurt his unprepared, honey coloured orbs.
Logan averted his gaze from Virgil to the bed to understand what was wrong and the sight made his heart quench painfully. Shreds of glass were scattered over the black sheets of the bed and tweezers laid by the glossy cherry that tainted the transparent edges and shreds of tiny pieces.
The elder turned back to the student and carefully cornered him as the other took as step back with every inch Logan approached him. It felt as if the shreds on the sheets might as well pierce into Logan’s heart as he saw his trusted and beloved friend squeeze himself into the corner of his wall and bed until the barriers of matter did not allow his legs to escape any further.
’’n-nu’’, he whined and Logan stopped, his mouth slightly agape. His blue eyes teared up and his gut twisted painfully as Virgil pleaded, begged him with his words and movements to not come any closer. To not hurt him further.
He was scared of Logan being angry at him, of him letting his anger out on him.
Of course, the science student would never do such thing but Virgil, in his panicked stance, did not seem to understand this. He was less than convinced.
Logan would just prove him wrong. If logic did not help, then empirical evidence would show him right.
The librarian shook his head and offered him a joyless, shallow smile as he pushed the corners of his mouth into an empty smile and his eyes seemed just as apprehensive as Virgil as he started crouching, never breaking the precious eye contact that seemed to bring the honey-eyed storm of emotions calm into a stillness of wind.
The stormcloud glanced at Logan and seemed less pressed into the wall as the giant lowered his height as he knelt down, one knee on the floor and the other following suit before he reached out with his hands to tug at Virgil’s sleeves.
‘’I want to make sure, Virgil. Is that okay? Please just nod or shake your hand. You do not have to talk if you cannot or do not want to’’, he asked softly and his voice lured Virgil into believing him and the light yellow of his eyes seemed to glow in a darker brownish, golden gleam as he nodded, allowing Logan to push his sleeves carefully up to his elbows.
The fresh cuts, deep and others shallow, along with some scars of several shades from fresh red to faint pink were revealed as he was left without the usual protection of his black and purple patched up hoodie.
‘’Virgil, this needs to be treated’’, he said sternly and carefully looked back at the bed. Tweezers, shreds. At least all cuts seemed to be void of the shreds that had caused the breaks in the skin’s tissues in the first place. His eyes roamed over the black sheet and soon found what he had suspected: sanitising solution and cotton pads. Something within him calmed as he realised he could probably treat his friend right here and there without problems and the day after still drag him to a doctor to make sure nothing would happen. Another part of him realised that this had not been the first time Virgil was hurt like that and had to patch himself up.
It also explained the constant appearance of Virgil in his hoodie and the need to be covered at all times. Logan was scared of imagining what other kind of injuries the other must have suffered from and for a moment, a seething flame of rage bubbled up within him as he realised that someone or even multiple people had to be the cause of this.
For how long? And why did Virgil never reach out for help?
Logan carefully pushed the student down onto the floor into a sitting position and grabbed the sanitising solution, tweezers and pats.
It was time to patch up his friend.
It took long, painfully long but Logan wanted to make sure nothing would get infected. But every time the cotton pads touched Virgil’s skin, the other would let out a weak moan or even flinch back even though he seemed to try his hardest to not move to much, Logan understood that the second burn of cleaning the mess of his pain just hurt even more and stretched the traumatising experience even further.
The nerd resorted to talking a bit as he wanted to keep Virgil’s focused on something other than the pain. He just wanted the young student to look less as if he was a big bad wolf about to devour him, the defenseless victim of the story. But it was less the case. Logan was more of the friendly giant who turned out to be more approachable than expected.
Actually, that was pretty much who he was. To Virgil, at least. Every other person saw him as nonchalant being or huge threat when they got on his bad side but this was not his calling right now.
All that mattered was getting the wounds clean and Virgil out of this mess and as the librarian started talking about the usual topics such as work and their friends Patton and Roman, the punk seemed to ease up just enough to sometimes mumble an answer or whisper a few comments.
It meant the world to Logan. It felt as if he was operating on a dying bird and every minute of life was a precious gift from the universe to him as a single person and he could not have been more grateful than in the moments Virgil trusted Logan enough to let him in, to touch and bandage his wounds and even talk back to him.
He would have early shift in the morning and it was only a few hours until then but he and Virgil were set on packing his things and leaving for good.
This night, Logan did not ask about how and why Virgil was in this situation. He did not press him into saying anything he did not seem ready to but he did patch up his wounds, cleared his bed and dried his tears before cuddling up with him and tucking him in.
Virgil was situated in Logan’s lap as the other trained his eyes on the paper before him and started reading the only book he had with him and the tiny room suddenly seemed to be in another world and instead of being caught up in blood, scars and unanswered misery, the two dove into the world of unraveling mysteries with the impressive deduction by Sherlock Holmes.
The arrogant character, albeit fictitious, made Logan smirk and erupted some small chuckles from the fragile frame of Virgil. He was not helpless anymore. He did not feel wrecked down by panic and choked on the pain of his hot and salty tears.
For the first time in forever, the punk curled up against someone’s warmth in this hellhole of a trap and he let go and did not cry himself to sleep but drifted off with a faint smile on his pink lips and a couple of slender fingers stroking over his hair as a melodic voice lulled him into Morpheus’ arms.
Soon, this would all be over. Forever. And the new start would be with his best friend who held him close to his heavily beating heart and the comforting heat of acceptance.

Off Grid Desert Farming with Pastor Penn and Scholar Alexia, part 1
A/N: SEQUEL to "A Special PBC Royalty News Report by Stan Doe and Chrissy, submissive queen of nomenclature with many titles"
Date: August 27, 2021, 9:11 p.m.
"Lights! Sound! Costumes! Crowns! Sashes! Make-up! Camera! Action!" Milk Mama chrissy with all of her glorious titles spoke with her distinct English voice.
The cameras turned on to reveal Prince Oliver, Werewolf of the United Planets with his silver crown sitting 10 inches away from Pastor Penn. Pastor Penn had his navy blue sash on as he sat 10 inches away from a female brown bear with round-framed glasses and a royal blue graduation gown with a silver sash named Scholar Alexia. Scholar Alexia sat 10 inches away from King Bruce Ice who still wore his intricate silver crown.
"Hello everybody, this is Prince Oliver, Werewolf of the United Planets supporting Off Grid Desert Farming with Pastor Penn and Scholar Alexia in their very important broadcast. Without further ado, Pastor Penn," the werewolf prince spoke in his distinguished English accent.
"No need for titles, Prince Oliver, Werewolf of the United Planets. I'm Penn with Off Grid Desert Farming with Penn and Alexia. Alexia is here with us to help deliver this broadcast that we all need to hear and know about," the golden bear spoke strongly with his Southern accent.
"Hello everybody, this is Alexia with Off Grid Desert Farming with Penn and Alexia. My husband has some very disturbing news to tell you about our future whether on Earth or on any other planet anywhere for that matter, unless you're in a different dimension. Then you're lucky," Scholar Alexia said in her soft voice.
Pastor Penn, Prince Oliver: Werewolf of the United Planets, and King Bruce Ice chuckled.
"But most of us aren't in another time frame or in the upside down dimensions that aren't accessible in our lifetimes no matter how many light years we travel, so this news are about to share pertains to us. But we don't have much time. Penn!" Scholar Alexia shouted.
"Today we asked Saul Turner, an excellent intergalactic journalist who tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, to join us on this broadcast today and tell us about the latest jab credit cards and jab biosignatures that are being implemented next month," Penn said.
"And he is very controversial because most journalists have a whole helluva lotta bias," King Bruce Ice said. "Saul Turner, tell us about yourself, for those of us who are new to your work."
A brown bear with eyes similar to Prince Banana Ice of all bears who wore a white button-down shirt, black tie, and khakis pants spoke on the other screen. "Yes. I am Saul Turner, a former Cat Intelligence Association agent that is appointed to tell the whole truth whether I want to or not. The powers that be assigned me this job," Saul Turner said before he whispered, "lest I disappear off the face of the galaxies forever."
"Thank you, Saul Turner. You mentioned in a previous news story that if we don't present proof of being jabbed at any store or market, the registers and wallets would not be functional. Is that correct?" Pastor Penn asked.
"Very! The governments of the world are downloading chips into the jabbed people as proof of their jabbed status. The cashiers will scan everyone with lasers to examine if he or she is jabbed. If you are not jabbed, the gasoline pumps will not work for you. Cash registers won't open. Even zippered WALLETS won't open for you. 'Open Sesame' will not even work for you so don't bother saying it to a scanner. Trust me. I tried it. It didn't work, AND NO I HAVEN'T BEEN JABBED," Saul Turner said loudly.
"Wow. I guess we ain't doing a darn thing unless we get jabbed," Pastor Penn said with an uneasy chuckle.
"NOT A DAMN THING!" Saul Turner said with fervor.
"That's bullshit! That's gonna fuck up the economy. We have to get jabbed to buy or sell. That's bulllllssssshhhiiittttt!" King Bruce Ice said as he growled "bulllllssssshhhiiittttt!"
"They don't care about the economy. They care about control. They care about the (encrypted voice done by Milk Mama chrissy, Encrypting Genius saying BEETLEJUICE) system," Pastor Penn said. "And more stuff has been happening around the multiverse in regard to this (encrypted voice done by Milk Mama chrissy, Encrypting Genius saying NEW AMAZON MULTIVERSE). I don't have time to talk about it in length on this network, but I can reference you to my backup channel on Odyssee.cahm. I have years of information on there that will bring you up to speed on everything going on."
"But what we need to talk about right now is the massacre that just happened an hour minutes ago in Abracadabra on Planet Neiber in the Twix Galaxy. IBIB, the terrorist group that once ruled the Planet has resurged from the depths from which they came. They are responsible for most of the massacres and for the explosions that happened in Kabbabullibulli, Abracadabra. That's near the Kabbabullibulli space station, but not in the same place. The Twix galaxy has a lot of similar names there. It's crazy. There are many wounded astronauts on those spaceships and a few dozen dead," Scholar Alexia said.
"There were two explosions that just happened 30 minutes ago as well. Astronauts from the Green Planet and Earth have been caught in the crossfire and are aborting their quote-unquote safe-keeping mission in Abracadabra. We have graphic photos to show this incident. If there are are minors watching, please tell them to leave the room and watch Telebubbies for two minutes before returning to this broadcast," Pastor Penn said.
Milk Mama chrissy then put an intermission screen on with her pups playing for two minutes to allow all minors to escape the news before Pastor Penn spoke again.
"Thank you, Milk Mama Drama Llama chrissy. I noted the lower case out of respect for one of your doms that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet," Pastor Penn said.
"You're welcome. I'm not in business to scar the youth of the multiverse. Please continue," Milk Mama Drama Llama chissy spoke.
"Okay. Are you ready, everyone, to see the graphic horrors of the Kabbabullibulli Abracadabra explosion?" Pastor Penn asked.
"No, but we'll show it anyway to boost our ratings," Milk Mama Drama Llama chrissy said as she began to show the pictures.
Some were of spaceships blowing up. Some had parts of space suits floating in space. One dead astronaut was being eaten by space bacteria while other body parts were floating in the midst of space. Pizza the Hut from Spaceballs was smiling and sitting on a blood moon wearing a green Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses on top of his head with his right thumb in the air while Q from Street Fighter: Third Strike was eating his flesh.
"Damn. Dat's FUCKED UP!" King Bruce Ice said as he looked at the other screen in horror.
"Yes. It's all very tragic. I extend my prayers that the rest of the astronauts escape safely before the Twix galaxy turns into milk chocolate, nougat, caramel, and nuts. Traveling through will require a sweet tooth," Pastor Penn said.
"Yes. A few bears brought several Twix bars on the spaceship on our travels here," King Bruce Ice said.
"AL Koala and the Tarbaran were in League with IBIB in the Kabbabullibulli Abracadabra city. There will be more than 30 dead astronauts in this explosion. You see that a nuclear explosion just occurred on the two entire planet as wells: Neiber and Fluggoit. A third and fourth explosion JUST HAPPENED!" Pastor Penn shouted.
We all saw the video of the Neiber and Fluggoit exploding. The whole news station gasped.
"And and the neighboring planet Italala just caught on fire.... and there are live feeds of astronauts and people spontaneously combusting... any chance of evacuation is very slim. Lord Help us. But we already knew this was gonna happen. Only through the Lord can we get through this. And everyone literally is covering this story if news exist at all. The United Planets Association definitely (encrypted voice by Milk Mama chrissy, Encrypting Genius saying, "Fudge Sundaed") up on the evacuation of Abracadabra and any other cities in the Twix galaxy at all. We should have evacuated years ago," Pastor Penn said.
"And Now the Planet Ubiquitousistan in the PaiDai galaxy has just been bombed by Abracadabra space magicians in retaliation of the Planet Abracadabra blowing up. The galaxies are literally blowing up. They're imploding, and black holes are eating other planets. Tourist planets have been targeted by space trash as well," Scholar Alexia said.
"But as bad as this is, getting the jab is still the worst thing ever. At least if you die without the jab, you get a chance to live in Chronistica. If you have gotten the jab, you will sent to Hades. Other sources, Saul Turner, Ghetto Gosbear, Brother Friar John, and recently, Found Sheep are other news sources that are telling you the horrors of the jab and the implications on intergalactic society. Right now, things are going to hell in a handbasket. Please call out to the Lord. Are you 100 percent that you are going to Chrononistica today? If not, then read John 3:16, Psalm 23, Psalm 91, Psalm 123, Psalm 139, the whole book of Revelation, and Matthew 6:23," Pastor Penn said. "The most important news is the Lord is coming again. The planets exploding is his message for us to be better people. More news will come as we gather more information."
"Yes, but we need to share some light news after that horror of intergalactic war and black holes eating Twix bars just happened. I'm just thankful that we're safe for now," Scholar Alexia said.
"Oh yes, please. It's just ghaaaahstly out there. I am almost disassociating just to be able to continue the broadcast," Milk Mama chrissy said.
"Absolutely. It's a scary multiverse out there. But onto lighter things until I am mentally ready to share the rest of this broadcast. Ahem... Apparently, Xara made a typo in "Chrissy and All of Her Glorious Titles Have Spoken." She said that it was the Prequel to "Bears, Eat Your Heart Out. Chrissy, all titles, is trying to arrive. Apparently, so is Everyone Else" instead of saying that it was the SEQUEL to "Bears, Eat Your Heart Out. Chrissy, all titles, is trying to arrive. Apparently, so is Everyone Else." The sequel comes after not before," Pastor Penn said with a chuckle and smile.
"Correction. Prequel is correct. Not everyone has arrived yet. There are several characters that have not arrived yet. They are detained at the airport in Kabbabullibulli space station between the Milkway Galaxy and Snickers Galaxy," Submissive Drama Queen Chrissy said. "But I have recent news that they are safely moving through the galaxies in either direction. A few spaceships have had to stop and get repaired, but Mayor Mr. Bill reinstated that all unjabbed must land on a planet OUTSIDE of the Twix galaxy immediately. Also, a side note, Queen Xara just now took heed of your correction and corrected the latest versions. Probably only out of respect for you. Whether it is the truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth is something completely beyond my limited comprehension of the time and space continuum."
"How is even remotely a prequel?! You had to get everyone off the United Kingdom spaceship before the news report began," Pastor Penn said as he visibly shrugged. "Also, thank goodness that safe passage is possible, even if the chances are extremely very super terribly low."
"That is Incorrect, Pastor Penn. In the Snickers galaxy, time is going side to side. Time is not going forward. In fact, we are still reporting from a SPACE ship. We have not fully landed on the Green Planet yet," Submissive Drama Queen Chrissy said. "Apparently, we should land very soon unless we want our spaceship to blow up mid-broadcast. I certainly wouldn't want to be like those in the Twix galaxy trying to get to the Milkway or Snickers galaxy. Or if you're crazy, The Cadberry or Twizzler Galaxies"
"Whoa! Everybody, we have hit a time snag... and a general life snag in the multiverse! Is that why out of 10 people who reviewed that report in full, NO one commented on that time mistake?" Pastor Penn asked. "Although I think everyone else has been focusing on the multiverse literally imploding on itself to care about a mere dyslexic time hiccup."
"I think so. I really do. The Green Planet and its time mechanics are a mystery for those of us who are used to Earth's fast-forward time mechanism," Scholar Alexia said in her soft, sweet voice.
"Indeed. I mentioned it to Queen Xara before she posted it on the Florida News Agency, Stumblr, Feebly, Daily News Journal, and in the personal inboxes of Paul the Goat and Pauno, the Greek God of food, wine, fertility, sex and crack cocaine. She was the one who showed me intricate diagrams of time on the Green Planet and proof that we are indeed living in an alternate reality matrix full of typographical errors according to the writer's publishing system on Earth," Submissive Drama Queen Chrissy said.
"As a matter of fact, my existence is because of Queen Xara's travels to alternate realities," Stan Doe spoke in his deep voice.
"Oh? You've got to tell us about it some time," Prince Oliver, Werewolf of the United Planets said.
"Some time. Pastor Penn has a much more urgent broadcast to tell before mine will happen," Stan Doe stated before he scratched his head and looked at the teleprompter that literally just had breaking news. "Someone just committed suicide at the Kabbabullibulli space station."
"Yep. It just happened two seconds ago as we were speaking. It's worse than the Onion's broadcast from 2010 about 'some bullshit happening somewhere,'" Pastor Penn said as he showed a screen of an angry grizzly bear in a top hat and a trenchcoat exposing a bomb attached to himself in the middle of a very distraught space station.
"What the actual fuck?" King Bruce Ice asked.
A female grizzly bear wearing a short-sleeved knee-high red dress and red high heels lifted a small bit of the bottom of her dress to reveal a bomb strapped to her right thigh. Then both bears set their bombs off in the space station.
"Two other people just committed suicide," Stan Doe said as he stared at the camera.
Milk Mama chrissy was sobbing as she wiped her eyes with a handkerchief. "Excuse me. All of this destruction, mayhem, and bloodshed is really breaking my heart. May we go to a commercial break, please?"
"Absolutely. I have more news, but it can wait," Pastor Penn said.
"I think that it would be best for the sake of the audience to have a commercial break to calm their nerves," Scholar Alexia said.
"And now for a very necessary commercial break," Milk Mama chrissy, the queenliest of submissive drama queens said.
