I'm so disappointed I finally watched the "gay angel" show everyone had been telling me was "so queerbaity" since like 2015 only to find out the ship only exists because the only other male to ship the main character with would be incest and the characters themselves actually have no tension at all.

The dead are slow and painful, there are screams and cries, they’re begging for help. The mother is begging for her baby back, the mother is running over rumble trying to find his children, the baby os scared and shaking, the daughter is running to find food for her family, the son is climbing under rumble and buildings.

They only have each other, and they’re losing that.

I'm irate enough to talk about shit I hated at the psych ward instead of being scared about it or nice lol. This is such a small thing, but it needs to be understood in context. As patients we have like no rights at all. Most of us are there involuntarily and can't leave even through "against medical advice" means. We have to stay. And we don't have our phones, and we can only contact people whose phone numbers are on an approved list. Even to ask for clothes, which are not provided. I wore the same pair of underwear for three days before my sister could bring me another pair. Asking for things is bad behavior. I was on my period during my stay and I was asked why I needed a tampon more than once a day. I switched to asking for pads to avoid that question, and I could still only ask for them during approved times, if I asked otherwise it was an inconvenience.

The part that bothers me the most was that we were all expected to attend 5 hours of group therapy per day. I attended all of them except during my very last day, when i was frustrated that I had been lied to about when I would get to go home. I skipped one meal and one therapy group during that time. And that was bad behavior, somehow. They overlooked it because I was being released but they had threatened other people who had done similar things literally a day before they were released with longer stays.

I also was an avid reader. They had a small collection of donated books available, and I read 5 of them before I left, including a very long Brandon Sanderson novel and The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. I did this because reading comforts me during anxiety attacks. I heard a full conversation between two nurses where they were saying how "no one reads these anyways" and they shouldn't have books and it almost made me cry. People in mental health wards have so little, how are you resentful of one of the few things they do have? Why would you want those taken away? It genuinely hurt me. I was there as the clear example of the person who benefits from reading, please don't take that option away.

so when food is too salty we might say "打死卖盐的" basically meaning "did you beat the salt merchant to death" but one time in an attempt to be a little polite and a little funny to the chef (my mother) i said "……是不是又跟卖盐的有矛盾了" meaning "are you... having a dispute with the salt merchant again" and now it's a whole thing in my family

anyway point being there has been another altercation with the salt merchant

Literally these people from Gaza have made an account on Tumblr and is writing in english to communicate what they need and you all are coming onto my blog or on the tag and not reblogging their posts. We have people both Palestinian and non Palestinian vetting the fundraisers! I mean more the reblogs, more the chance of the fundraisers gaining momemtum, the more there would be a chance of a donation. Please donate if you can and reblog!!! and follow them if it is possible.

@/mohammedayesh has posted about getting leaflets, telling them to evacuate Rafah. They are very low on funds. Go follow them and reblog their posts and donate if possible.

We have @/haneenatya too whose mother is suffering from eye stroke and need to evacuate. Please I have been following them for some days and it doesn't seem their own posts are getting much attention.

Follow them! They are on tumblr. Reblog their posts and donate. The protests in universities are being done on account of them. They should be our focus.

(EDIT: on re-reading my post it seems as if I am dismissing all that the students of universities are doing. I am not. I just meant, since all of it is to help Palestinians, we must not ignore them when they ask for help).

Also increasingly aware that a LOT of people "manage" getting through the 40+ hour work week by sleeping less than is healthy and relying on stimulants like coffee and energy drinks to keep them going.

For people who are unwilling or unable to do this...work really does just dominate your life. Like we really should not have to rely on unhealthy practices just to have a social life or keep on top of housework or whatever.

I know I post about this a lot but I'm so TIRED all the time and it's just so depressing that this is how we're expected to spend the one life we have.

Unpopular opinion: All games should have the option to enable pausing.

And to save almost everywhere.

Yes even in soulslike games.

I am an adult who has a full time job and responsibilities. I get to play maybe an hour a week. I do not want to lose that hour of progress because devs decided 'pause' was not allowed in their game and I had sudden unexpected things come up that meant I had to quit the game without saving/leave it playing and hope enemies wouldn't respawn.

Also it would massively increase accessability. I have fully working non-injured hands and they still need a break after a tough boss fight. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for people with joint pain, arthritis, etc, etc.
