idk EXACTLY whats wrong with me but i do think the biggest reason i dont really date is because ive simply Seen Enough by proxy after being the eldest child/only daughter and my moms certified child therapist for the past entirety of my life and through all one thousand of her boyfriends who were all different versions of the same Guy (stupid asshole with no interests or personality traits besides mowing the lawn going to home depot and being a huge bitch) that always moved directly into our household and invaded my space within like 2 weeks of them dating

I have been watching a lot of How I Met Your Mother clips recently and it will proably prompt me to rewatch the whole show but I just get SO ANGRY at all of Season 9. I don't even MIND the ending so much I just think they really failed with the storytelling in Season 9. The entire series finale could have been what they did for all of Season 9 and instead we got Barney and Robin's wedding.

LIKE you could have led up to a mid-season finale of the mom dying or whatever and then continue to tell her story with snippets. It could have been so well done in a way that both honors the mom while continuing Ted & Robin's journey to each other (and their own) to continuing Marshall, Lily, and Barney's journeys of self discovery and growth too.

I just... sigh.
