Every single year. But I'm ready for him this time. and tommy's gobstopped and goes TECHNOBLADE. TECHNOBLADE HINESTLY ANSWER ME HERE. Aphrodisiacs
Part of my Technoblade x Reader WIP Word: ~1600
Phil handed the both of you hot, steaming cups of tea. “I hope you both like it, I brewed this especially for the both of you.” You quirked a brow at the old man as he folded his arms in his robe, finding his choice of words odd. Mentally shrugging it off, you blew on your cup before giving it a careful sip. It was deliciously sweet with a hint of a floral sense to It and In all honesty you had to give Phil credit where credit is due.
“Oh wow. This tea is amazing, Phil.”
Techno took a sip as well, the dainty china looking smaller In his larger sized hand. An amusing sight from your perspective.
“Yeah, It's alright I suppose.” Techno relaxed into the chair, his ankle resting on his knee as he leaned back in his seat, Techno and you both took another sip.
“What did you put in it?” You innocently asked, taking another sip.
Phil smiled, “It's a special brew. I added some of those sweet berries and rose flower petals-”
Technos eyes widened, he stopped drinking all together and he went for a full on spit take. Spraying you completely in the warm brew. Your face, hair, and your shirt doused completely with tea.
Techno coughed violently, his eyes wide with horror as he stared at the small china cup. “Phil.” His voice was dangerously calm, but the look in his eyes screamed nothing but the utmost betrayal. As If his dear old friend had dramatically driven a knife in his back in a moment of weakness. “You've doomed me, Phil. You did not just serve us-”
“Oh, lighten up mate,” Phil waved him off casually, “You both have been way too tense lately. So, I just added a little something extra. Thought you two could use it.”
You settled your cup down and dried your eyes with the bottom of your shirt, one look at Techno and you could see his cheeks were dusted pink. He bolted upright, his chair scraping against the floor as he approached the window. He opened the window and dumped the rest of the brew from his cup like it had personally offended him, making Phil sifle a chuckle at the sight.
You, still dripping of tea, adjusted your wet shirt as it clung uncomfortably to your skin, dawning realization of what Phil had just admitted.
“…Did you just—” You blinked at him. “Did you just drug us?!”
“What? Nah. It’s just herbs.” Philza rolled his eyes as he waved off, completely unbothered. “Back in the day, we used to drink it all the time. It’s good for blood flow, stamina, y’know?”
Techno choked again, fists clenching at his sides. “PHIL! THAT MAKES IT WORSE!”
“Not that kind of stamina—”
“That’s literally what it’s used for!”
Phil shrugged. “Can also be used for energy, focus, a bit of warmth—”
Techno shook his head furiously, his entire face heating up. You had never ever seen Techno this flustered, or affected by something In all the time you had known him.
He’s been through war, escaped an execution attempt and took actual betrayal better than Phil’s aphrodisiac brew.
“No. No…We’re out. We’re gone. We leave.” He picked you up off the chair by your elbow, your chair scraping against the spruce floor, making you stand.
“Hey!-” You gasped at the suddenness. He turned on his heel, already storming toward the door, your arm in his hand.
“Phil- You’ve doomed me. You've doomed me, Phil-” Phil could all but chuckle at the sight before him like the agent of chaos he painted himself to be.
“Techno, where are we going?!” You stumbled slightly before matching his pace to the door.
“You and I are drinking milk.” He dragged you out of the house, leading you into the basement. It was with such urgency It was as though you needed to be exorcised of the tea's effects.
Phil called out, “And help her get cleaned up!” Techno only grumbled in response as you both left the front door and went to the basement.
Phil chuckled, sipping on his regular tea. “...So dramatic. The both of you.”
The basement was cool and quiet, a stark contrast to the absolute chaos that had just unfolded in the cabin above. You were still drenched in tea, your drenched shirt making you shiver in the cold. Droplets dripped from your hair, trailing down your face and neck.
Techno was already rummaging through one of the storage chests, muttering something under his breath about “old man meddling where he shouldn’t.” His cheeks were still pink, the tips of his ears twitching slightly, and you knew—you knew—he was dying inside.
Techno grabbed a bottle of milk from the chest, drinking some of the cool and sweet cure-all before turning and handing the rest to you.
He turned back around and rummaged through the chests. You stood awkwardly near the ladder before you drank the rest of the milk bottle.
It didn't exactly feel like you were under the influence of any status effects. You felt normal, other than the slight chills you got from getting soaked your body felt entirely the same before and after the tea. It felt completely the same after the milk too, which, you didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.
"So... Do you have a towel, or am I supposed to just stand here and marinate?"
Techno turned around, holding a white shirt (probably his, judging by the size), and tossed it at you without a word. The fabric smacked you in the face.
You peeled it off with a deadpan expression. "Thanks. That really helped."
He huffed, crossing his arms. "You're welcome."
You shook your head, sighing. “I can’t believe Phil…”
“I can.” Techno muttered, grabbing a clean rag from another chest and handing it to you. “Man’s been alive for centuries, he was bound to get bored eventually.”
You took the rag from his hand and started dabbing at your face, before Techno took the rag back, gently dabbing and drying your face himself. Thinking you probably wouldn't do as good a job without some help. You muttered a small thank you to which he gruffly hummed in response. He was actually surprisingly careful, his hand held your cheek while the other held the towel, gliding it over your face and neck.
You mentally shook your head, remembering the tea. You grimaced as the brew stuck to your skin. "God, this stuff is so sticky. It’s like he brewed honey in it."
Techno let go of your face, hanging the rag on one of the ladder steps. "You should probably change before it stains."
You paused, looking down at your soaked shirt. “Yeah, I was hoping you’d leave so I could do that.”
He didn’t move.
“…Techno.”
He blinked. “What?”
You gestured vaguely. "Privacy?"
He stared at you for a long moment, then let out an exaggerated sigh, “Alright…” distancing himself from you and leaning against the stone wall, "I'll turn around."
"You could also leave, y'know."
"Nope," He said flatly, spinning on his heel so his back was to you. "Not taking my chances. Knowing Phil, that tea might have some kind of delayed effect or some weird potion nonsense. You pass out or start hallucinating, not my problem.” He rambled, feeling anxious and fidgety about the situation overall.
You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. "So dramatic…”
He scoffed. “Says the one who almost swan dove into a lava lake if it weren't for me.”
“Okay, first of all—”
“Change.”
You rolled your eyes, but ultimately gave up. You turned your back to him and pulled the damp shirt over your head, shivering slightly as the cool air hit your skin. The only thing covering your top half being your bra. You felt around blindly for the dry shirt he had thrown at you earlier.
Of course, because today sucked, you dropped it.
A beat of silence.
“…You good?”
You clenched your jaw. “No.”
You reached down to grab the shirt, forgetting that you were currently half-dressed. You barely had time to react before Techno glanced over his shoulder.
And then immediately regretted his life choices.
“Oh God—” He whipped his head around so fast you thought he’d snap his own neck. He practically slammed his hand over his mouth, his face burning a violent red. He really didn't mean to, he wasn't stupid. He assumed you were done putting on the shirt, how long does it really take to change a shirt?
You snatched the dry shirt off the floor and yanked it on as fast as humanly possible. “WHY DID YOU LOOK?!”
“I DIDN’T MEAN TO!”
“WHY DID YOU LOOK?!”
“I PANICKED!”
A painfully awkward silence settled between the both of you.
Techno cleared his throat, still refusing to turn around. His face was completely red, he wanted to say anything, quip even! The embarrassment was choking him as much, maybe even more than you. “…You done?”
“…Yeah.”
He exhaled sharply, finally relaxing his shoulders. “Cool. Great. Fantastic.” He turned back around, face still a little too pink.
You rubbed your temples. “Let’s never talk about this.”
“Agreed.”
Another beat.
Tommy’s voice could be heard from upstairs, followed by the front door opening and slamming shut. Followed by a muffled, “PHIL!!” Followed by the sound of something breaking.
You and Techno both groaned in unison.
“Alright- That's enough mortifying embarrassment for one day” Techno then turned towards the double spruce door leading outside, opening one of the doors, the chill of the snowy outside nipping at your skin.
“Where are you going?”
“The tactical retreat—” He closed the spruce door behind him.

AU Drabble thing
Technoblade is a scrawny, tired, and most importantly BROKE college student. His diet consists mainly of “coffee” with more cream and sugar in it than actual coffee and his main possessions include a laptop, an old polar bear plushie, and an almost empty wallet.
So when he realizes that he has an old house in his inheritance with rent and bills so low, he could actually afford it? Yippee! Time to move! This is of course with the small caveat the house is in the large, dark, damp, probably haunted and cursed forest. Eh, he’ll manage.
Anyways he realizes that of course, the reason the rent was so low was because people went missing in the surrounding woods and never were seen again. The small decaying shack of a house once belonged to his great great grandfather Technothermonuclearbomb (family thing) who’s remains was found half eaten, and surrounded by crows.
Anyways, Techno moves inside, cleans the place up, and yup! There’s a giant bird man outside with his two equally fucked up children. They accidentally make eye contact and the family of cryptids try to kill him. But there’s a catch.
The creatures of the forest are bound to the forest itself. You cannot hurt them within the forest’s boundaries. But the opposite is true for those who come outside. They can’t hurt you, if they’re outside the forest boundaries. And luckily for Techno, the house is technically both part of the outside and the forest! He can’t hurt them and they can’t hurt him.
Anyways, now Techno is saddled with a bunch of annoying and murderous neighbours that want to kill and eat him and then later on absorb him into the forest and add him to their family. Too bad Techno is the final girl in horror movies x12. Cue the shenanigans which include:
Phil wondering if Techno tastes the same as his great great grandfather.
Wilbur breaking into Techno’s house for the express purpose of a self care day, locking himself in the bathroom, using all of Techno’s scented candles (They help him focus), and absolutely flooding the place with bathwater. And no, he doesn’t clean up after himself.
Tommy raids his pantry daily. No matter how much locks he puts on the door, Tommy finds a way to break it open. Keeps getting into Techno’s sugar stash.
Techno rents out his garage to Tommy’s friend Tubbo, accidentally leaving some power tools in there with him. The next day, Tubbo constructs a machine half mechanical and half meaty and pulsating.
Niki breaks in to use his kitchen stove and ingredients and leaves curse residue all over the counters. Techno accidentally touched some and was stuck as a bunny rabbit for a full day. Wilbur and Niki dressed him up in cute and embarrassing outfits.
Ranboo is nice. He has a bad habit of watching Techno sleep though.
Somehow, Techno’s friend and former roommate Skeppy somehow ends up dating an insane egg cultist from the forest. Techno questions his taste in men.
Techno is so real for that, I would also go live in the cryptid forest if it meant I could afford my bills, tbh.
Seriously though, I do love the premise here and it sounds like it could make for a fun 'crackfic' vibe but with a hint of real angst and fluff. Just the way I like it. So thank you for sharing :D

The One Who Speaks
C!Technobladex Fem!Reader
(You and Techno used to be best friends until he developed a crush on you now suddenly 10 years have passed and all you want is a glimpse of him)
Warnings - A/N: Physical Touch, Make-out session but nothing too heated.
FLUFF!
Word Count: 2.5k
Traveling to Philza’s place for your monthly visit was a nice time to reflect, maybe to do something different, maybe don’t travel through the ocean with nothing but your backpack until you come across a shipwreck to make a boat. Yeah, reflecting. Visiting Philza gave you a sense of peace, hearing his stories, seeing he’s doing alright after everything, seeing it’s possible to move on from things you thought would be forever. He gives you hope that one day you might move on from your own problems, like being alone 24/7, traveling to pass the time, and having this stupid “crush” on Technoblade. When you were pre-teens he all of a sudden stopped paying attention to you and all you could do was accept it, you left him in the dust on your horse, sent away to live with your aunt that was hundreds of miles away. You only started visiting Phil when you heard about the town being blown up, you wanted to make sure he was ok. He was like family to you, so one year ago you decided to make the trip to see him and now you go once a month to catch up. When you first went the first thing you asked him was, “Is Techno ok?” He smiled and shook his head softly, “Y/n, you know him…” he walked to the table you were sitting at with two mugs of tea in his hands, “Technoblade never dies.” You smiled with him, “I don’t know him now but yes. He never dies.” He pressed his lips together at your comment, putting one of the mugs in front of you. You thanked him, and picked it up to warm your hands, “Where is he, if you don’t mind me asking?” Phil looked at you with pity written all over his face, “I don’t mind and remember that, but darling I’m going to be honest with you.” He sighed looking down at his mug, “I haven’t seen him in weeks, he rarely speaks to me anymore…” Your eyes widened, you felt a rush of coldness washed over you. You became cold to the touch even with the hot cup in your hands, “I take that back actually,” You looked up from the mug, ready to take anything he had of Techno, “He checks on me from time to time, sometimes even spends the night but he walks around like I’m not there.” Your eyes soften at his words, sorry for what’s happened between them. You looked at his free hand, taking it into yours and squeezing it, “I’m sure he has his reasons.” He nods, flashing a quick smile. You were worried but you “knew” Techno and he would never neglect someone or something unless he had a reason to but you still questioned it when it came between you and him.
You were still miles away from Philza’s house, and wondering if you might have taken a wrong turn somewhere. You slow your horse down and take a look at your map, glancing in all directions trying to see anything familiar, then you see a landmark that’s on the map. You exhale, the anxiety dissipating as you put the map back into your bag. You snap the reins to walk again when you see a shadow on the ground, a shadow that could only be made if it was in the air. You have your horse come to a complete stop, sliding off and looking at the shadow then up into the sky. A bird was flying high in the sky, making circles around you. You whistle, bringing it down to you. The bird lands and you notice it was a crow! All you could think were negative thoughts, hoping to God that Phil was okay. You pull some seeds out of your side bag, pouring some on the ground for the crow. The crow hops over and sets a scroll down before pecking at the pile of seeds. You pick the scroll up, standing to look at it better.
My dearest Y/n, you’re probably worried that something’s happened to me but I couldn’t be better, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I’ll be having company over while you're on your way. I don’t know how far you are but I hope you aren’t too far. I would like you to see them before they have to go, Love Phil.
You smile down at the lovely note, thinking that Tommy might have been there but you have talked to him before at Phil’s house so who could it be. You ponder on it for quite a moment before your eyes widen and your jaw drops.
It could be Techno, you thought.
You roll the scroll back up and put it in your bag, seeing the wonderful crow ate all the seeds up, you chuckle and decide to give him more just out of likeness of the note. You get up on your horse, snapping the reins one last time before setting off to Phil’s house, which wasn’t more than a few miles away.
You see Phil’s house appear in the distance, grinning and kicking at your horse to go faster for this last stretch. All you could think about was possibly seeing Techno, finally locking eyes with him after all these years. You slow your horse down as you approach his house, hopping off before he even comes to a complete stop. You shake dust out of your hair and pat yourself down before knocking on the door. You knock on the door and wait for someone to open it for you. You turn around to your horse that’s neighing at you from behind, you try your best to shush him but he decides to be stubborn after a long and hard ride. You wave him off as the door clicks, you whip your head around to meet Tommy, “Tommy!” You yell, “Ay!” Tommy yells back pointing finger guns at you. You smile at him, raising your arms up to hug him. Laughing as he picks you up and spins you around in the house. Closing the door as he sets you down, “Come on, I want you to see someone.” He says, too fast for you to understand but grabs your hand just as quickly as he spoke pulling you towards the kitchen. Light-headed from the laughing and spinning you stumble behind him, trying to not fall to the ground. He slows down, walking into the kitchen. You keep your hand in his, waiting to see the one and only Techno but when you round the corner you’re met with a transparent figure, almost shiny with the sun beaming through it. You narrow your eyes as it turns around, “Guess you weren’t expecting me?” It says, you’re left speechless, mostly trying not to cry. It was Wilbur. Phil told you about the war, when Wil told him to kill him. Holding back tears, you cover your mouth, “Wil?” You knew it was him but you had to make sure. He nods, making you whimper. You walk up to him knowing you would go right through but you wanted to be close. You breathe out as you look at his face, so dark and light. You raise your hands, roaming the air where his face would be but all you could feel was freezing air. He brings his hands to your wrists, marking them with cold rings. You chuckle softly as tears fall from your face, trying to smile but wince at the every-longing want of his hands in yours. He was such a big inspiration of yours but when you heard he had turned evil it was hard to think of him highly. But then, you heard of his death and it shattered you. When you were little, he was always there for you, especially when Techno started to grow distinct, he was there. You missed him so much but now seeing him, his presence, you finally had closure.
You take a deep breath in and let it out, keeping your eyes on him as you step away. Walking backwards to Tommy, you look at Wilbur one last time as he waves at you. You give him a small wave back before he dissipates into thin air. You turn around to bury your face into Tommy's chest, he hugs you back with watery eyes. You could hear him sniffling, you chuckle, “It’s ok Tommy, he’s in a better place now.” He rubs his eyes and scoffs, “What do you mean, I know that, why wouldn’t I know that. I mean look at me.” You remove your face from his chest, as you look up at him, “I know you needed that as much as I did.” He scoffs again, “No I didn’t, I was perfectly fine without him.” You laugh, making him laugh too, as he shakily breathes in and out, “Oh, how I missed him.” You wipe tears off your face, “Me too Tommy, me too.”
You and Tommy were sitting at the kitchen table laughing when the both of you hear the side door open and loud boots fill the house as they stomp off whatever was on them. You look at Tommy with confusion but all he does is smile, making you even more confused. A loud nauseated voice booms through the hallway, “Hey Phil there’s a random horse eating snow in the front, it has a bunch of stuff on it too-” The giant stops in his tract, this time very real. When he sees you, he pulls his mask down from his face, “Y/n?” You stand up, your eyes not believing it, your mind not believing it, but your heart does. Your heart believes it’s really him, it’s really Technoblade. You clear your throat, not sure what to say, “Uh- hey-” You were always speechless around him, never knowing what to say, how to say it. He takes a step closer as he pulls his gloves off, “Uh…” He couldn’t speak either, his eyes were roaming your body, he wanted them to do all the talking. You and Techno stand there in place just looking at each other for a good moment.
Tommy stands up, making sure to make as much noise as possible, “Hey big guy, how was work-” Techno leans down to Tommy ear’s, “Get out.” Tommy mouths ok and walks off to the front door, saluting at you. You watched him as he walked and saluted back at him. You put your gaze back on Techno noticing he was a little closer than before. You don’t think you can hold it in anymore but with it being 10 years, you didn’t know if he felt the same way. You watch him as he stops just a couple feet away from you, your breathing becomes heavy, heat rushes to your cheeks. You open your mouth to speak but nothing except a chuckle comes out, he watches you look at the ground and to the side looking out the window. Every inch of you is on his mind, he takes his hand and brings it to your chin to draw your attention back to him. You look at him with doe eyes, thinking about all the times he looked at you with those same charming eyes. You pull away though not wanting to get too close, not wanting to feel the same urge you felt when you were just a kid. You look away towards the window for a second but he pulls you back, now arm around your waist and hand on your chin, keeping your eyes on him.
You find it hard to not look at him with your faces only inches apart, his long pink hair falling over his shoulder and into his face. You cave in finally, your eyes traveling his face for it has been too long since you’ve seen him, “Techno…” You breathe out, his breathing becoming just as heavy as yours. You find the back of his neck with one hand and the back of his shoulder with the other. Gripping at his shirt, he looks down at your lips, “Why did I wait so long?” Your heart flutters at his words as they roll off his lips and onto your own. You mouth I don’t know, giving him a weak smile. His lips part as he moves his hand from your chin to your cheek, running it along once before diving into a deep kiss. You took a breath before his lips crashed down on yours, interlocking your fingers in his hair. He pushes you against the table a little rough, “Sorry.” he says in between a kiss. You couldn’t care less about being rammed into a table but you loved that he cared for you, “It’s ok.” You whisper, keeping the kiss going and placing your hands on the table to brace yourself. He slowly snakes his tongue into your mouth as he finds your hands and intertwines them with his. You whimper at the feeling of his tongue roaming your mouth, you grip his hands tight, making him moan. He continues to kiss you like it was the last time you were ever going to see each other, touch each other. But he wasn’t going to let that happen, he wasn’t going to pull himself away from you ever again. He wanted you more than ever before, finally having you in his arms.
You slowly start to pull away but Techno wants one more long kiss before accepting your movement, resting his head on your shoulder. He needed that break as much as you did, his breath raspy and deep on your neck. You wrap your arms around him, as he does the same. You look up to the ceiling with tears in your eyes, happy tears. Happy that you finally get to express your loving feelings to this hunk of stoicness. He glides his touch from your waist to the back of your legs, picking you up and putting you on the table with no effort. You gasp when he picks you up, looking deep into his eyes to find love and affection. He pulls you as close as possible, making you wrap your arms and legs around him. You rest your forehead on his, smiling and giggling. He couldn’t help but do the same. Your smiles always gave him warmth, from his ear tips to his toes. He always liked that about you and it has never changed, even after all these years his memory of you has never faded. He leans back so he can see you better, scanning for any new details.
He cups your cheeks and rubs his thumbs on your skin. He’s hot to the touch, making you want to melt in his arms. A single tear falls from your eye, he’s quick to gently wipe it away, kissing where the droplet was then kissing your forehead. He looks down at you, taking an impossible step towards you, “I’ve loved you for too long, to give up,” He pauses and glances at your lips, “I’ll make it my life’s mission to never let you go…again.” Your breath hitches, you couldn’t believe he was saying this to you, finally. You let out a breath with a big smile and your head vigorously nodding at his remark. He smiles back with a sigh of relief escaping from his lips. He picks you up and spins you around for a moment then plants you on your feet. Your arms still wrapped around his neck, you give him a couple of nice soft pecks on his chapped lips. You were forever happy to have him by your side now, even if he had to work. The both of you hear the side door open, “Techno! I need your help with the hay bales!” Philza’s voice rang through the house before you both heard the door close and footsteps went down the outside stairs. You look up at him and pout. His eyes narrow down the hall towards the side door, “He can wait.” Before you know it you're off up the stairs to the spare bedroom Techno sleeps in, making sure to lock the door behind him.

okay @sethdomain I did it
small and crappy analysis of Technoblade’s anarchy:
This is a Transcript from a video on phone:
Okay this may be a little cringe but I am going to very slightly analyze the anarchistic ideals of Technoblade. Anarchy in the way Technoblade applies it isn’t what we normally consider anarchy to be— like anarchy is this violent force against government and in the lack of government the strong overpower the weak, but what Technoblade wants is the abolition of all authority (which encompasses government), which means that he would oppose the strong vs the weak because the strong would be the authority in this case. (Although he does describe anarchy as that to a couple of people, he doesn’t believe anarchy is that). He’s very loyal to his anarchist ideals, but the type he created, not the kind normally associated with anarchy.
Is his anarchy right for the Dream SMP? This is a bit of a question, because anarchy did exist for a moment on the server when L’manburg was destroyed and there was no supreme power over most people. You had the developing Eggpire and the Kingdom of the Greater SMP, but neither were exerting that much power over L’manburg’s previous inhabitants. Obviously it wasn’t super free, and there were still a lot of events going on, particularly with Dream. This fit into the anarchy not supported by Technoblade, because Dream still held a lot of control over the people, even while in prison. Technoblade wanted everyone to be equal, but not in a communist idea in that the state owns everything, but that everyone has the freedom to own their own property (although they may have to defend it) and is obligated to protect themselves (rather than the government protecting its citizens).
We see this in the Syndicate/arctic commune, which aren’t a government, obviously. Technoblade is very strong, and he could be viewed as a Dream-like figure, but he doesn’t present himself in that way nor is he actually Dream-like in the slightest. Technoblade is strong because of his preparation skills—yes he is really good at pvp, but most of the time that’s because he’s so prepared. He is better than other pvp-ers because he is, for example, when the Butcher Army showed up, splashing down potions. In Doomsday, cc!Techno notes in discord that Sapnap almost killed him and he had to retreat. Doomsday was able to happen only due to major preparation and Techno teaming up with other well-armed players and a complicated plan.
Anyway, back to the point I was trying to make with the Syndicate. The Syndicate is not ruling over the arctic commune nor does Techno exude authority over the rest of the members due to fear/respect. The Syndicate is a bunch of being discussing how to press their freedoms and anarchism over the rest of the SMP— with a focus on abolishing TYRANNICAL governments specifically. Techno’s goal (and the Syndicate’s in term) may have been to end all governments on the server, but it never really seemed like they were doing that. They only went up against the ones that were dangerous (mostly the Eggpire). They were chill with Snowchester (Technoblade even resolved his conflict with Tubbo and spoke with him about his concerns over Snowchester, in which he later deems Snowchester not needing to be destroyed). The arctic commune is what Technoblade is idealizing: a free area where a bunch of friends live together, with no person being more powerful (or more specifically, using their power) against another person, and everyone is able to support each other (which is an important aspect of Technoblade’s character: he wants friends). There are rules that the commune follows, but it’s less so laws and more things that the people agree would be messed up or counterintuitive to the safety of the commune (don’t reveal the Syndicate’s secrets, don’t blow up people’s houses, at least try to help other people when they need it).
So with that clarified, would Technoblade’s idea of anarchy work for the Dream SMP? Yes, actually. This is mostly because Technoblade’s anarchy works for a small group of people/friends, and the SMP doesn’t have many members. Technoblade’s idea is that each of these groups of friends make basically a little village where they live together and support each other, while remaining friends or at peace with the other villages. The only person that might be against this, might be Dream, but I’m confused by his character most of the time. I do know that Dream wants control, so the multiple villages out of his control (which was basically L’manburg, although they did just make a monopoly and constantly diss on him), might upset him!
TLDR: if everyone got therapy on that server, Techno’s anarchy would’ve worked.

Technoblade on the Qsmp
Birdhouse arc
So let's say Techno was on the qsmp and Phil went missing, trapped in the bird house.
Techno wake up to find Phil missing from his bed and probably assume he's already out doing stuff, so when techno goes looking for Phil and can find him he get worried.
So he checks around the bunker looking for a note or anything from Phil and finds his scythe in a chest which makes him panic slightly
Cause Techno by that point will be worried af and have searched the whole bunker top to bottom only finding more of Philza's stuff.
That's when he finally consults Fit and Tubbo, they then break into the federation but find no info on Phil
Cucurucho arrives soon after that and Techno would start threatening it for answers on Phil which never gets
They don't find Phil and when Phil 'wakes up in the basement' a week later saying that it was just a dream, techno will be properly concerned since he saw Phil missing and his stuff left in the house.
Phil will tell him the story they go to the location of the bird house and Phil's mental state is obviously already breaking so they end up dropping it
Though techno wholeheartedly believes Phil was kidnapped and refuses to believe the 'dream' answer.

Welcome to pt. 5 of the Sanctuary AU
Turns out, as Missa has now learned, there are quite a few more people who live in the sanctuary. Apparently quite a few of them tend to spend their time off exploring, or live in other areas of the woods.
At one point during their talk, Phil had to take the time to laugh and tell Missa how he isn’t technically the dad to quite a few of them.
“In all honesty, I’m surprised you haven’t seen Tommy yet, he’s definitely one of the most sociable ones. Gosh and wherever Tommy goes, Tech isn’t far behind. Always there to keep him in check.” Phil said, laughing at his last comment.
Missa couldn’t help but imagine the two. Two kids, probably not much older than chayanne. Gosh he bets the bunny hybrid is adorable.
~~~~~~
Missa can say with full certainty that he takes back his last thought.
He had still been awake long after the sun had set, talking to Phil about anything and everything. (what can he say? He’s interesting.) Eventually Phil had bid him goodnight and started to make his rounds in the sanctuary, leaving Missa to walk back to his house. Not being tired, he decided to take the long way back. He always did like the stars.
He had ended up dozing off during his walk, just enjoying the quiet night and taking the time to be relaxed, as relaxed as a skeleton with the anxiety equivalent of a small chihuahua can be, when he heard something moving in the bushes.
Before he could react a yellow blur came flying at him.
He stumbled back from the force of whatever it was slamming into him at full force, only for it to grab hold of his shirt and hang on.
As he opened his eyes that he hadn’t realized he closed, he found himself face to face with… a child?
Holding onto him was a.. Wolf hybrid? A younger one at that. He’d bet on around 15 at the oldest.
The child was leaning incredibly close to his face, to where the only thing he could see was its extremely blue eyes peering into his soul. (At least he assumed that’s what it was doing.)
Their unofficial staring contest continued for a few long seconds before the child grinned with all of his many, many teeth, and said, “You drool in your sleep,” before pushing off his chest and throwing himself backwards.
Missa stumbles back, trying to regain his footing from his impromptu experience as a springboard. Looking up, he looks to see where the kid scurried off to, only to freeze.
The child had attached himself to what he could only describe as a wall of a creature.
It was towering above him, likely well over 6 ft tall. Pink hair that went down its back, sharp tusks, and.. pink rabbit ears..?
Wait a minute.. THIS WAS TECHNOBLADE? THE RABBIT HYBRID?????
Goodnight Stories
Years after the prison break Technoblade and Dream lived together far away, healed and raised two kids together. One evening, they start telling bits of their life to their kids in the form of a fairy tale.
Story for Day 7 (Fairytale AU - healing) of the Christmas Dreamnoblade Event by @alterdnbweek. A bit late but i really wanted to finish this.
Also on Archive of our own.
"Once upon a time, there was a rabbit. The rabbit was a very social but lonely creature. It yearned for the company of others. Years went by as it hopped around, discovering new places and befriending other animals.
Overjoyed at its gained company, it made a burrow. A big burrow that could house all of its friends and more. At first, it was just them, eight friends who worked on improving their home. They built and hunted and joked around. Late at night, when the moon was high and their bodies grew too tired, they'd huddle together in one warm, soft pile of fur, limbs, and feathers.
The rabbit was happy with its friends. It invited more people, hoping to make more friends.
More space was carved out. More tunnels were dug out. Space was made bigger to fit the newcomers. While the rabbit worked to improve its home for everyone and as most animals enjoyed their time together, two animals created the first cracks. They stole other's possessions to retrade them. They claimed parts of what was home for everyone and made it only for themselves. The racoon and anteater had gathered wood and black stone to barricade others from entering at all.
Once news reached the rabbit, it was unhappy. It came to the two troublemakers and asked them to stop. They refused and lured more in and soon the rabbit's home was split into two sides. Those rallied against the rabbit, who got pulled in by the charm of the anteater, and those still by the rabbit's side, who wanted to help him stop the community from splitting apart.
Things spiralled. Fights became more regular. Actions more extreme.
Frightened and threatened and yearning for how things had been before, the rabbit with its wits made plans. With little regard for itself, it planned to get itself locked up. A false betrayal by the snow leopard was believed as real and successfully the rabbit found itself in another burrow guarded by another leopard. There it sat for months alone with few visits, fewer positive.
Until the duck came by. Longing for revenge and power and not feeling little, the duck would visit daily. It would paint the hole in red with the leopard's permission. Every day it would demand for a powerful item the rabbit had in its possession. Day after day until it was forgotten. Until it just wanted to feel the power over the rabbit which once possessed a grace and punch like few others.
But the duck was foolish, never learning from its past mistakes no matter how often they caught up to him. With the stolen voice of the prisoner, it lured in the pig that had allied with the rabbit before and which the duck was enemies with. It had planned to trap two at once but instead, it summoned its own downfall. Because the pig didn't aim to get locked in for long and it had friends to rely on. Friends who aided its escape. And the pig-"
"-came back to save the rabbit and they kissed and happy end," interrupted a high-pitched voice Techno's tale. Techno playfully glared at his older kid, Vivian. The kid just smiled back from their laid-down position on the bed before yawning. If it wasn't for the tired look in their eyes and the slower movements, Techno would have thought it to be a mocking yawn.
"Well, some tales are more complicated than that." Even simplified, it was sometimes complicated to tell. The number of times Techno had to stop himself from going into detail at different places was at least getting less frequent now.
A body leaned against his from behind, head leaning on his shoulder. "You were close but not exact," Dream spoke from beside him, volume kept low to fit the evening and not destroy Techno's eardrums. "The pig did come back and save the rabbit. But the kiss wasn't until later as the rabbit, despite its admiration for the pig, had grown distrustful of every other animal around it."
"Even the piggy?" their younger kid, Aurora asked.
"Even the pig. Many of its friends had left him with the most recent being the leopard that had let the duck in. He figured the pig wouldn't be much different."
"The leopard was its friend? And it kept him there?" A devastated expression sat on her face. "Why?"
Techno looked to Dream, letting him decide how to tell it.
"Well, the rabbit while planning had assigned it the role of guardian. And it kept that role even as the rabbit was the one it had to guard. It had believed itself to be tricked by the rabbit. Lies and truths got muddled." He drifted off and Techno didn't need to look to see the look on his face. Instead, he gave three taps on his arm that got returned.
"But the piggy came back, right?"
"Yes." Techno ruffled her hair. "Fortunately, the pig is not one to leave others behind. It's way too cool for lame stuff like that."
"Fortunately," Dream agreed, placing a kiss on Techno's cheek. "Though the rabbit and the pig separated again once both were outside. Each had different tasks assigned by themselves. It would take another few weeks till they came across each other again.
The burrow made by the bunny and its friend had collapsed while it was locked away. Most managed to escape and make new burrows and houses. The rabbit claimed the tunnels it had been trapped in for itself. It was secure. It was familiar. To some extent, it was the plan.
Despite its hideout where few suspected it, it never stayed for long. Restlessly moving on with its plan, never stopping till the task was accomplished." Dream had moved from behind Techno to next to their kids, holding Aurora's hand gently with a soft smile despite the current tone of the tale.
Techno continued. "A snowstorm raged over the lands when the rabbit and pig met again. Snow had fallen for hours. Still, the rabbit hopped on, mind set on its goal. It went on and on. Until finally, the weather caught up to it. Body frozen and energy gone, the bunny lay there, pushed past its limits for too long.
The pig found it there, covered in snow and barely breathing. Dragged onto its back, the pig brought the rabbit to its home.
It took hours to wake. Hours in which the pig took care of its wounds, provided warmth and made meals. Like a miracle, the bunny survived. It stayed with the pig for a few days. The days turned to weeks and after so many months, exhaustion was slowly catching up.
Time spent with the pig was warm, and pleasant even if at times annoying. The rabbit would sleep next to the pig in its bed until it was their bed. Despite the fear and anxiety, feelings blossomed and seemingly normal day, they kissed. It would be the first of many exchanged between them as they stayed together. And they lived happily ever after."
"I hope they're both safe," Aurora whispered sleepily into her panda plushie.
"They are. Safe and happy, sweetie." Dream kissed her forehead as he rose from the bed and moved to its other side to do the same to Vivian's as Techno just did.
"What if the other animals catch the rabbit again?" They asked brows furrowed in worry for what is an imaginary animal for them.
"Then the pig and its friends will ensure the rabbit stays with them." Techno pipped up from where he kissed Aurora's head.
Both kids were sleeping as Dream and Techno left the room, closing the door gently behind them. Some more things were prepared for the next time before they too went to bed exchanging one last kiss for the day.
To me it makes sense c!Dream had a map of c!Tommys base on his wall. Not buying into the 'c!Dream is obsessed with c!tommy theory' But, he still saw c!Tommy as a threat and even though c!Dream says that he wasn't focusing on c!Tommy. He makes it clear that he had known what he was doing by mentioning that c!Tommy was farming potatos here x com/asterdiscs/status/1737317034835210313 I think he was watching him to make sure he didn't cause problems.
[context] [link provided]
Yes, of course, it does make sense. Just like the map of Snowchester on the other wall [post], Tommy is a threat and variable to consider that can mess up his plan and goal. It’s not that it doesn’t make sense or that there is no reasonable explanation for it, more so I just found it funny and ironic, since he specifically talks about how he wasn’t focused on Tommy and then highlights how he was focused on Wilbur and yet doesn’t have a map of Wilbur’s base or anything on his wall. Cuz ya know, this quote lives rent free in my head lol.
“I hadn’t bothered you for months—for Months. But I’m the bad guy. Why’d you do it? Why—why did you involve yourself again? I—I was—I—At this point, I was—I was so focused on Quackity and everything he was doing, and Las Nevadas, and—getting revenge. I was—I was focused on Awesamdude and beating him. I—you were—you were the last person on my mind. I was focused on Wilbur—for burning the discs. I was focused on everybody, except for you—and then you were like, ‘Hey! I want attention. I’m gonna come and break into your house in the middle of the night and kill you.’” [clip]
The potato thing is an interesting point I haven’t seen before… I wonder if that was a random comment or meant he had been to his base?… Tommy’s garden at his og house is wheat and carrots right? So there is no reason for Dream to necessarily assume Tommy is growing potatoes (he’s not Technoblade lol), which does certainly imply Dream visited his underground base.
But see, the thing is, he seemed surprised and outaged in the finale that Tommy would make this move and dare come after him, which I had always assumed was because he didn’t think Tommy would try anything, but if Dream had been to his base he would have seen the traps and gear Tommy was making to kill Dream so them coming to kill him wouldn’t be that surprising. But maybe it wasn’t their attack that surprised him, but the method of the attack.
On more than one instance in that stream he highlights the savage nature of his murder [clip], even going as far as to call them coldblooded [clip]. So perhaps he is not surprised by them coming after him as much as the way in which they did, by sneaking in, in the middle of the night, to slit his throat. He expected an attack at some point but just not that…
Then again there is something to be said about predicting people’s behavior. That you can consider multiple actions or reactions from someone but sometimes you hope or think it’s unlikely to happen, or that’s the extreme worse case and you want to think better of people. Perhaps, for example he considered the possible situation where someone would want to torture him for the book so they could kill him, but the risk seemed low because he trusted Sam. But he knew it could happen, just didn’t think it was the most likely outcome. In the same way, knowing that Tommy coming after him could happen but thinking if he just leaves him alone maybe he’ll leave him alone too…
Furthermore, if he left that creepy disc under Tommy’s house as a scare tactic to get Tommy to be too afraid to come after him, maybe he went to his new base to do a similar thing. But realized, that that fear was also making Tommy more likely to attack so came to the conclusion to just leave him alone, making Dream even more upset when he gets attacked unprovoked anyways, feeling like he should have acted when he had the chance and that it seems rather unjust to break into his house and assasinate him.
There does also seem to be an underestimation of how far people are willing to go to hurt him. Not that he doesn’t consider it an option but perhaps he didn’t consider it the most likely. When rewatching parts of the staged finale this week, I noticed just how frustrated Dream was at Tommy for wanting to kill him till he’s dead.- “You don’t have to kill me.” And it’s not an unreasonable expectation. Even Schlatt, who was pretty unanimously  hated, wasn’t really sentenced to permanent death from the get go, he just happened to lose all of his lives prior to the war and even then technically he died of a heart attack. Techno of course they wanted to kill, but given the reactions in Doomsday it doesn’t seem like they really were aware that Techno didn’t have more lives [clip]. So this would be kinda the official first time they intend to off someone for good, off the admin no less. And that doesn’t seem notable because in our world you only get one life. But I think in their world it is notable. It is why Tommy’s suicide is such an important point because he knew he wouldn’t come back…
And I think Dream is suprised by the treatment because these aren’t just his enemies, or strangers, these were his friends. His friends who wanted him dead after hanging out with him and experiencing the good in him. The friend that tortured him relentlessly for months. The friends who locked him away forever because he was so evil that’s all they could think to do. The friend he was wasn’t good enough to be worth keeping him around.
And that’s a tough reality to live in. For everyone to hate you that much. And if you’ve read my theory on the prison [post], I’m of the opinion that Dream sought a way to redemption. Not because he thought he needed it morally but because he wanted to be loved and accepted back into society instead of hated by everyone as The bad guy.
And I think in some ways however small, he thought that after prison maybe if he was on his best behavior, maybe if he left them alone, maybe if he kept to himself, then he could be let back in the folds. That he wouldn’t be seen as a threat. That what happened in prison was enough to change him in the eyes of people so he could get a second chance. And I hear that in his voice after prison. As he talks to Tommy, and his frustration “maybe I can enjoy the beach for once in my life…” “everyone will think I’ve changed…” but slowly realizing that what he suffered wasn’t enough to satisfy Tommy or curb Tommy’s appetite for his permanent death. And oh the conversation with Sapnap just hurts, the way hope just bleeds out of his voice the more they talk until his villain persona falls back into place and he turns to threats [vod]. Even his conversation with Foolish, as he tries to defend himself and be peaceful and friendly, even that doesn’t quite cut it as Wilbur’s propaganda is so ingrained into the server that not even complete strangers are willing to work with him. Flattery, gifts, explanations, offers for more money, even highlighting his own torture wasn’t enough to get Foolish to make a simple deal with him [vod]. And that has to be beyond frustrating that even the new members don’t like him…
So maybe he knew Tommy was coming to kill him, expected it even, maybe he was keeping an eye on Tommy, maybe he did visit his base to make sure he’s not a threat. Maybe he knew he was a threat. Maybe ironically while Tommy was invisibly watching the prison, Dream was at his base in invisibility. Maybe Dream knew clingy duo would come, because they always come -“Tommy and Tubbo vs Dream” a battle he knew they’d want to repeat. But maybe he was surprised at them sneaking into his house, after months of leaving them alone, to slit his throat in his sleep…
#oops I may have gotten carried away…. sorry I just. watching the stages finale scenes of his deaths made me feel things…#dsmp#c!dream#dreblr#c!dream and c!tommy#c!disc duo#let me cook#dsmp analysis#hello there#no one does it like c!dream#did someone order an essay?#c!discduo#dsmp finale#dsmpblr
I reinstalled tumblr just to share some of the fluff that my brain generates when reading your work. ;P
Ideas:
-Comparing the timeline of Tubbo feeling safe vs. Tommy's speed run.
-someone /beginning/ to formally document the ways the heros failed the kids in general, and how Dream failed Tommy specifically (the whole process is probably a main fic subplot)
-near encounters with Ranboo
-general tutoring lessons
-a trip to a city that isn't L'manburg.
-it being cold enough for Tubbo to push caution aside and let an adult hold him to stay warm. (Heater broken and they have to wait for a discreet technician?)
I only chose to do one of these for now. Mostly because a lot of them I don't see fitting. I will explain a bit about each.
-Comparing the timeline of Tubbo feeling safe vs. Tommy's speed run.
We probably need to wait until at least after the sequel for this timeline since Tubbo still does not trust Phil by the epilogue of omsootp
-someone /beginning/ to formally document the ways the heros failed the kids in general, and how Dream failed Tommy specifically (the whole process is probably a main fic subplot)
I'm not 100% sure what I'd write for this sorry!
-near encounters with Ranboo
Just wait for the sequel. ;)
-a trip to a city that isn't L'manburg.
They would probably not go to another city over the time that osaat occurs. Most actual cities are pretty far away (and Tommy is annoying just going to "The Museum") We will touch on this a bit during a midquel for the sequel!
-it being cold enough for Tubbo to push caution aside and let an adult hold him to stay warm. (Heater broken and they have to wait for a discreet technician?)
Tubbo would literally rather perish during the osaat timeline. Also there are lava lakes under the house that they use to power the generators. (idk how this would work, but this world is built off of minecraft logic) If the heater broke in the house, they could just go downstairs nearish the lava lakes.
So, we will be talking about
-general tutoring lessons
(Otherwise known as, no, Techno, please, don't pavlovian the children with pumpkin seeds)
Also, note that I don't have a lot of experience teaching people to read, especially almost adult people and ones with dyslexia. To be fair, neither does Techno, and he's trying his best. If anything seems very wrong, I do apologize.
“This is Tahoma,” Techno said, placing a sheet of printer paper on the desk in front of Tubbo. Tubbo glared up at Techno like Techno had just killed his first-born child. A few months ago, Techno would have been anticipating a tree branch busting into their home “library” and through Techno’s chest. But “murderous” just happened to be Tubbo’s default slightly cranky expression. He was only actually pissed when his face went blank. So, Techno just patted him on the head. “Have fun. Let me know what you think.”
Tubbo grumbled something spiteful under his breath, but the kid didn’t have to be here. Yet, here he was. Techno turned away from him.
Tommy was, as expected, slumped in the old bean bag chair. He looked comfortable even though his “chair” inched closer to being a rug every time it was used. “What about you?” Techno asked.
Tommy raised his arm up, his hand holding a thin book aloft as though in victory. “Finished it.”
“And what did you think?” Technoblade asked, taking it from him.
“Peter Pan’s a dick.”
Techno nodded. “An accurate literary analysis.” He handed Tommy a sheet of printer paper as well, though his was in Times New Roman. “You know what to do with this by now.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Tommy said, taking the sheet and attaching it to a clipboard. He picked up the dictionary he’d stored on the shelf next to him and opened it to look up the first vocabulary word on the page.
His handwriting really was atrocious, Techno thought as he began to write out the first definition. It was perhaps even worse than Tubbo’s (which was saying something), but it had gotten more legible as time had passed.
Tubbo was mouthing the words of his short story as he read. He didn’t like Techno hovering over him, so Techno took a seat in a spare desk chair next to Tommy’s beanbag chair. It was mostly quiet for a few minutes. Techno watched Tommy slowly fill out his vocab sheet. (Tommy was the opposite of Tubbo; he didn’t mind Techno watching him work.)
“Done,” Tubbo eventually said.
“Cool,” Techno said, standing up to move back over to the desk. He grabbed an old iPod and scrolled to the right file. “Here’s the audio version.” Tubbo accepted the iPod and the headphones but looked up at him expectantly. Techno put a handful of roasted pumpkin seeds in a bowl next to him. Satisfied, Tubbo began the audio file, eyes dutifully on the piece of paper while he reached for a pumpkin seed.
Techno did not know if bribing children with pumpkin seeds was an approved method of teaching them to read, but it seemed to soothe Tubbo’s resentment about being asked to read the same thing multiple times.
Speaking of, Tommy had finished his vocab sheet at this point. Techno handed him his laptop so he could type up the sentences he’d just written down. (This was partially so Tommy got more experience typing and was partially so Techno could actually read the sentences he made up for every vocab word.) Tommy also got a handful of pumpkin seeds so he wouldn’t complain about having to write his sentences a second time.
They continued to work in silence for a bit more (well, silence except for the pumpkin seed chewing). Techno eventually handed Tubbo a reading comprehension worksheet for the short story he’d read before moving on to grading the vocab sheet Tommy had filled out and making him correct a few sentences that didn’t make sense. Each child got another handful of pumpkin seeds at this point.
Tommy finished his vocab sheet corrections before Tubbo finished his worksheet and was rewarded with more pumpkin seeds. Then, Techno helped him pick out a new book to read. After a few minutes of deliberation, he ended up with The Wizard of Oz.
Tommy started the new book silently while Techno talked through the reading comprehension worksheet with Tubbo. They went over what he’d gotten wrong and what he’d gotten right. For the ones that were wrong, Techno had him go back through the story and highlight where he could find the correct answer. He only struggled with a few of the corrections and was able to fix them with some prompting from Techno. (He only looked semi-murderous while doing so.) Techno gave him another handful of pumpkin seeds once they were done.
Once he knew Tubbo was done with his reading, Tommy instantly became more talkative, giving a running commentary on what was happening in the book he was reading every few lines while Tubbo finished eating his pumpkin seeds.
“How was Tahoma?” Techno asked Tubbo.
“Shit,” Tubbo said instantly, but then seemed to think about it for a moment more, “but better than Calibri.”
“Good to know,” Techno said, making a mental note of that for next time. He also made a mental note to get some more pumpkin seeds.
Five Years Later:
Tubbo: (Reads a billboard on a road trip)
Tubbo: Why am I craving seeds?
Hello everyone! I just wanted to share something that happened about 1 or 2 years ago. I was at my parents house making dinner. I was making mashed potatoes, I left them cooking and went to talk to my mom because of course I'd never forget I was cooking. Suddenly about 30 minutes had passed and I ran into the kitchen expecting to find burnt potatoes. Surprisingly, the potatoes were fine and then my mom said "The potato god saved you"... for the record, my mom has never seen a Technoblade video or anything so I don't know why she said that, but yeah, Techno protects our food when we eat potatoes!👑🐷
(OOC)
I know it’s a day late but happy birthday to Technoblade. The first stream I ever watched was when Techno learned Tommy was living under his house. After that I went back and watched his vods, and the dsmp has been an unending fixation since then. I loved his channel, and his videos always brought a lot of happiness and light.
Halloween Traditions
Summary:
“What are you planning on making?” Tubbo asked, and Tommy could see him glancing at him from the corner of his eye. Of course Tubbo would side eye him while trying to gather information. Chayanne and Tallulah were whispering to each other, glancing towards the oven with hungry expressions. “A surprise.” Tommy responded, laughing as Tubbo pouted. “Boo-boy, keep him outta the fridge? He’ll try sneak a look.” Tommy pointed at Ranboo, who only smiled and nodded. Tommy could only hope that they would actually keep Tubbo out of the fridge and not try help him figure out what Tommy was baking that night. Tommy was quick to disappear further in the house, trying his best to escape the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg, disappearing to his room to sleep before dinner for a bit.
Tommy snickered as he watched Ranboo stop in the doorway, head tilting back slightly as they no doubt looked around the entryway. He knew that Philza had probably gone even further out now that they’d ‘recruited’ Ranboo into staying with them. He had, purposefully, forgotten to mention it to Ranboo, but Philza loves holidays. He loved any excuse to decorate, inside or outside, the house. There were exception holidays, everyone should have exception holidays in Tommy’s mind. Made living so much more bearable.
“Are you going inside or not!” Tommy called out, laughing as Ranboo shook their head, glancing back at Tommy with wide and excited eyes, their hands were shaking and the couple bags, that Tubbo needed for whatever baking he, Chayanne, and Techno needed, were swinging slightly from the sudden movement of Ranboo’s hands. Tommy laughed as Ranboo disappeared into the house, grabbing his own bags for his own baking adventure that night, and shut the trunk of the car.
He would have to return Niki’s keys later, and reassure her that not a single scratch was on the car. It had been hard enough convincing her that it was important, it was her first holiday here too, without telling her why. Of course, Tubbo and Chayanne had been of no help to him and it had taken extra long to convince her.
Tommy made his way inside, shutting the door behind him so that none of the cats or dogs got out, though they were probably all sleeping to some degree. He toed his shoes off as he heard Tallulah squeal excitedly from the kitchen.
“Toms and Boo are home!”
“Oh good. Keys.” Tommy huffed, smiling as he turned and found Niki walking towards him, a sort of demanding anxiety in her eyes even though she was smiling. Tommy passed her the keys to her car.
“Not even a scratch.” Tommy assured her, knowing that she was going to go check anyway. Niki gave him a look, followed by a smile, before she walked outside and Tommy moved towards the kitchen. It seemed like Techno needed a break from the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg, because he wasn’t in the kitchen when Tommy walked in.
“Hi Toms!” Tommy glanced over just in time to see Tallulah signing along with her speech. He moved his bags to hang from one arm as he responded. Tallulah and Chayanne were both on chairs next to the counter, Tallulah kneeling and Chayanne sitting normally, as Tubbo and Ranboo sorted through bags.
“Hi ‘lullah. Baking going good?” Tommy asked, signing best he could. Tallulah brightened up and nodded quickly. “Hi Chayanne.” Tommy signed as he spoke, despite Chayanne not needing it. Chayanne waved, yawning tiredly as he went to speak, a look of startlement on his face before he shook his head.
“Hi Toms.” Chayanne smiled, waving as he kicked his feet. “What did ya get?” Chayanne asked, staring at the bags on Tommy’s arm. Tommy only smiled at him as he walked towards the fridge. He was going to store everything in the fridge, tied shut with the hope that no one decided to snoop.
“It’s for my baking tonight, when you all are asleep. You don’t get to know.” Tommy responded, snickering as Tubbo’s head snapped up and locked on him. “You don’t get to know either, Tubman.” Tubbo pouted but went back to sorting through ingredients with Ranboo. Tommy was quick to tie the bags shit, triple knotting them, before putting them inside one of the drawers at the bottom of the fridge and shutting the fridge.
“What are you planning on making?” Tubbo asked, and Tommy could see him glancing at him from the corner of his eye. Of course Tubbo would side eye him while trying to gather information. Chayanne and Tallulah were whispering to each other, glancing towards the oven with hungry expressions.
“A surprise.” Tommy responded, laughing as Tubbo pouted. “Boo-boy, keep him outta the fridge? He’ll try sneak a look.” Tommy pointed at Ranboo, who only smiled and nodded. Tommy could only hope that they would actually keep Tubbo out of the fridge and not try help him figure out what Tommy was baking that night.
Tommy was quick to disappear further in the house, trying his best to escape the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg, disappearing to his room to sleep before dinner for a bit.
Tommy yawned, moving down the stairs as quietly as he could. It was nearly midnight and the only ones who were awake were Philza, Techno, and himself. At least, it was supposed to only be the three of them awake, and even then, Philza should have been getting ready to sleep and Techno was just reading in his room.
He hummed quietly to himself as he quietly slipped into the kitchen. Either Philza or Techno had left a couple of the low lights on for Tommy, which was good because Tommy didn’t feel like turning on any lights for himself. He one hundred percent would have baked with the lights off if no lights had been on. He’d done it before and he will probably do it again one day.
He made his way to the fridge and found his baking supplies, a smile forming on his face as he found that they were tied perfectly still. Good, Ranboo did keep Tubbo from getting to Tommy’s supplies. He grabbed the bags and put them on the counter, shutting the fridge and moving to find his recipe book. A gift from his mother when he was a small child, before he had been taken in by Philza.
He smiled when he found the slightly old book. He ran his finger across the spine of the book before opening it and flipping through the pages to find a Chocolate Chip cookie recipe. He was adding some pumpkin to it, to give it a… halloween and fall feel. Besides, he liked Pumpkin a lot better than he liked cinnamon or nutmeg. They hurt his nose when too much was being used.
Even now, he scrunched his nose when he opened the oven. They used a lot of nutmeg and cinnamon today while baking. He settled on the page, setting the recipe book onto the mini stand that Techno had gotten a few years ago when he’d almost ruined his own recipe book. Now it was used by everyone in the family when they were cooking or baking.
He wondered if there was a way to make chocolate chip cut outs, but that was an experiment for another night. Another night in, maybe, a different month. Maybe that could be an experiment for Christmas time. Tommy usually made peanut butter cut outs in December, so that Tallulah and Chayanne could decorate them and eat them at the same time. Philza and Techno could be a little… protective… of their sugar cookies before a certain date.
That and Tubbo liked making different frosting to pair with peanut butter cookies.
counting dogs
my piece for the 'first try techno challenge'! i actually got dream and decided to roll again and combine the next roll which was the hound army! anyway, written with two minutes to spare <3 <3
“There’s no way you know all their names,” said Dream. Despite the heavy armor and his wide-legged, firm stance, the mass of dogs was still pushing him around and he struggled to stand in one place. “I mean, there’s like—”
He paused, clearly attempting to count.
Techno let him, mouth pulled into a grin, one eyebrow shooting up as far as it could go. When the silence stretched on, Techno gave him a little nudge, metaphorically.
“There’s…”
Dream twitched, turning his head towards Techno.
“There’s like, forty of them,” he said. “No way you know all their names, Technoblade.”
“I mean, there’s actually about 180 but who’s countin’. Who’s countin’…” He reached down and scratched one of the dog’s ears as it wagged its tail so excitedly that its whole body went with the tail. “Well, you were but let’s just forget about that.”
“Oh my god…”
Dream’s ears – the only part visible beneath the mask and the hood – turned bright red. It was probably rude to laugh but Techno did anyway, the dogs barking at the sound, working themselves up. Reaching out, Dream caught himself on the wall as one particularly eager dog bowled into him.
“Hey, Em, easy girl,” said Techno, making his way over. The dogs parted for him easily, tails going a mile a minute, accompanied by quiet barks and whines. “See? Nothin’ to it, Dream.”
“Yeah, well, that’s because they’re yours so they listen to you.”
“That is usually how it works, yup.”
“You’re so annoying.” Dream steadied himself. “But there’s seriously no way you’ve named all the dogs.”
Techno held his hands up, chuckling.
“Okay, you got me there, Dream. I haven’t got around to namin’ them all.”
“So you don’t know all their names,” said Dream, tone of voice triumphant, pointing a finger at Techno. “Which means I was right.”
Lightly, Techno smacked his hand away and one of the dogs took the action as an invitation to play, jumping up on Dream eagerly, licking at the mask. Techno was expecting a harsh reaction, had tensed in preparation for it, but Dream only made a noise of vague disgust and pushed the dog away.
“Ah ah ah. I know all the names of the dogs that have names.” Techno knelt, ruffling the fur of the closest dog. “So technically I know all of the dogs’ names.”
“What? No! That’s not—” Dream sputtered, trying to find a way to argue, wanting to argue, and coming up short. “Whatever.”
“So, you admit that you’re wrong.”
He was wrong but Dream would never admit to it.
“Shut up, Techno.”
“That’s what I thought,” he said, patting the dog on the head as he got to his feet.
Dream watched him, head tilted to the side. With the mask, the effect was strange, almost childlike.
“You should let me name a dog.”
“You wanna name a dog?”
It wasn’t an immediate refusal, more like an offer, and Dream straightened.
“Yeah.” A short pause. “Name it… Name it ‘Dream Has a House’.”
Techno laughed, loud and booming, and set the dogs off again. A mass of dog flesh writhed in the small space and Techno reached out, trying to pat each one as best he could.
“Easy, Dice. Easy, Fossilnet. Easy, Max.” After a moment, the barking and whining died down. “Alright, alright, but only for you, Dream.”
