okay im not gonna write a lot about each choice cause i just cant be bothered, but ill try give a quick explanation of each choice

Ryuunosuke Akutagawa: this should come as a shock to absolutely no one. he's been my fav since day 1, he fits the trope i like in characters so well, and i just love the depth of personality he has. his development has been incredible, and hes just such a well written character. he's also funny af

Edogawa Ranpo: this one may be slightly more surprising, but i absolutely adore ranpo 😭🫶 he's also so well written, and i love his backstory sm. untold origins is one of my favs of the light novels. hes also just so silly and i love every scene with him <33

Nikolai Gogol: goddd i love nikolai so much. he's such an icon, and i love the way he's been written. im desperate for his backstory, i need to know what made him this way 🙏🙏 his character design is also incredible, i love a good clown/playing card motif

Osamu Dazai: he's popular for a reason. he's sososo well written, and i love exploring his personality and backstory. he's such a multifaceted character, and i just love it so much. he's also sooo funny lmfao

Atsushi Nakajima: the mc himself!! i love atsushi a lot, he's so underrated 💔 i think hes super well written, and i love the development he's gotten so far. so many people overlook aspects of his personality, i love how mean he can be lmfao. he deserves so much better give my boy a break 💔

Fyodor Dostoyevsky: as evil as he is, i genuinely love fyodor. he's so interesting to watch, i love delving into his motives and backstory. i also eat up religious imagery every single time, omlll. he's just so complex and its so fun to watch. he's also so funny to me, and i love his interactions with dazai and nikolai 🫶🫶

Chuuya Nakahara: once again, popular for a reason. I love chuuya, i eat up every second of the small amount of screentime we get 🙏🙏 he's such a great character, especially after having read stormbringer. hes also just so funny and works well with so many other characters

Kunikida Doppo: my king!! he's so underrated tbh, it makes me sad 💔 i love him a lot, i love his ideals, and how unique of a character he is. his interactions with aya are so sweet too, i love him a lot. he's also a really funny character, and i love his chemistry with the other ada members a lot

Akiko Yosano: god i love yosano, she's so cool, and has such an amazing backstory. she's genuinely so well written, and her past with mori as the angel of death is amazing. she's such a complex and interesting character, and also just such an icon.

Sigma: i love him a lot, he deserves so much better 💔 he's a really interesting character, and just such an icon tbh. i love his interactions with dazai and nikolai, my man needs a break 😔😔 i really like looking into his personality, and his morals compared to the others in the doa
