Teacher Appreciation Week Headcanons (with: Iwa, Hawks, Levi, Tsukki, Kenma, Diluc)
This is obviously very self indulgent but maybe someone else will get some joy out of this.
Tumblr media
Hajime Iwaizumi
He has flowers delivered to your classroom. Even if the kids don’t appreciate you, they can at least see that someone at home does. Whenever the behavior gets too bad, you can look at the flowers and remember you get to go home to a nice strong, loving pair of arms.
Keigo Takami (Hawks)
He knows he’s really busy and has to find time for visits and short dates between patrols and other hero duties. You’re always catering to his career and schedule, so for teacher appreciation week, he makes sure to clear an entire weekend to spend with you. On your little weekend getaway, he spoils you with attention and takes you to the best restaurants with the most delicious food.
Levi Ackerman
If anyone can get a rowdy class to straighten up, it’s Levi. He knows it’s been a tough year on you and it’s only going to get worse as summer vacation gets closer. For teacher appreciation week he makes you lunch every day and brings it up to the school. Not only do you get to have a precious 30 minutes with him, but he sticks around after to glare at the kids he knows all too well by now with all the stories he’s heard.
Kei Tsukishima
Tsukki thinks it’s stupid to only appreciate teachers for a single week. He makes sure to appreciate you for all you do in the classroom as often as he can. He always has dinner ready when you get home on days when you text him about how hard the day was. Not only that, he lets you take an after work nap and grades some of your papers for you. Spelling tests and math tests don’t take him too long and it takes some of the work off of you.
Kozume Kenma
He has no idea how you put up with the blatant disrespect from kids, nagging from parents, and unreasonable expectations from the administration. He has massive appreciation for you and knows that a lot of times you sacrifice your own well being for your job. He arranges a self care day for you. He pays for a couples massage and takes you to do whatever your brand of self care is. Getting your hair or nails done. Shopping. Going to a museum. Nature walks. Anything. (He complains during his game streams sometimes about how teachers are grossly underpaid.)
Diluc Ragnvindr
He honestly isn’t sure how to appreciate you properly for the job you do. He knows you work hard and put a lot of effort into a bunch of ungrateful kids. He wishes he could change *that* aspect of it, but he can’t. When he hears you talking about the school accepting parent volunteers to help with teacher appreciation week though, he secretly signs up to help. At first he plans on donating some money, but somehow he gets roped into an active role. You go to work and find him doing something like scooping out scrambled eggs and sausages for the staff breakfast in the morning.

Miss Fisher Snippets (191)
Today is Teacher’s Day in the U.S. (Tuesday of Teacher Appreciation Week, which takes place in the first full week of May), and I am dedicating this post to Phryne’s childhood teacher, Miss Charlesworth.
From this exchange in S1E8 Away with the Fairies, we learned that Miss Charlesworth fought, and won, the battle against Henry George (not yet Baron of Richmond-upon-Thames) Fisher so that little Phryne could continue her education. Adult Phryne was no longer grubby, but she was definitely clever thanks to Miss Charlesworth who recognized her potential and gave her the chance to fulfill it.
Many fellow Miss Fisher fans are educators by trade, and I have the utmost resect for them. It’s a profession that requires subject matter expertise, infinite patience, and a fighting spirit. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

It’s National Teacher Appreciation Day! Just like the Jade Giant, my students wouldn’t like me when I’m angry… Because I always support my argument with properly documented scholarly sources. That’s right – Mr. Merenda is The CREDIBLE Hulk! 👨🏼‍🏫

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Tumblr media
I couldn't find any better images, so have a Google Doodle.
Guess who just figured out this exists? (me)
Teachers are so important and so underpayed that it's actually criminal. I haven't gone to school in awhile, but I did take classes and courses, and their work is so underappreciated by the system.
Used to be that people thought the Sun was the same distance away as the moon, because they're "the same size," and now with mandatory schooling, every kid (who can afford to go to school) knows that's just not true.
So many valuable lessons (in the classroom or not), putting up with so much shit from students and parents alike, and the system's like "eh, you don't deserve a living wage." >:(
Fuck that.
Most of my school teachers were weird about my learning style, but I had one, Mr. Zetlin, who was just amazing. Shout out to Mr. Z and all other great teachers I've ever had, y'all are what kept me and so many other kids from feeling stupid and depressed and like something was "wrong with me."
Appreciate your teachers. Especially the ones who understand you. They put in alot of work for too little pay.

Accidentally clicked on the google doodle and learned this. Happy teacher appreciation week to @something-in-the-orange! I’m proud of you and all you do! I wish all teachers were as passionate about what they do as you are with your littles. The world and education system are better with you in it!

Teacher Appreciation week is BS because we shouldn’t need a week to be appreciated.
That being said…would like just one week where my bosses treated me with respect. And it should’ve been bare minimum this week.
Take back the bagels and fruit platter…just tell me you appreciate all the crap I do and be nice to me for 5 seconds.

Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and may include celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community tone in education. This is the primary reason why countries celebrate this day on different dates, unlike many other International Days. For example, Argentina has commemorated Domingo Faustino Sarmiento's death on 11 September as Teachers' Day since 1915. In India the birthday of the second president Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, 5 September, is celebrated as Teachers' Day since 1962, while Guru Purnima has been traditionally observed as a day to worship teachers/gurus by Hindus.
Many countries celebrate their Teachers' Day on 5 October in conjunction with World Teachers' Day, which was established by UNESCO in 1994.
