CFP: Latin American Fandoms

Latin American fandom is a topic that rarely appears in peer-reviewed articles in English and irregularly in Spanish. Phenomena such as fan fiction (fanfic), cosplay, and online communities allow us to explore the representation (Aranda et al., 2013) and appropriation (Yucra-Quispe et al., 2022) of national content (telenovelas and narcocorridos) as well as content from other countries, whether it be movies or streaming platforms.

Despite its unifying name, Latin America is home to diverse panoramas and forms of expression. This territory contains countless sources of scholarly tradition that analyzes practices and content derived from entertainment products (books, films, games, among others), called prosumer practices, which are the result of the creativity of Internet users (Fernández Castrillo, 2014), under the approach of Digital Humanities. This space represents fertile ground for Spanish-speaking researchers to apply multidisciplinary methods and theories.

This call opens the door to studies that delve into the uncharted territory of Latin American fan practices. Fandom studies include the analysis of the impact of influencers, the modernization of heritage works, trends in the publishing industry (such as slow-burn romance novels) that function as a space for identification, allegiance or rebellion (Vargas Vargas, 2022), multilingualism in the digital world, and teaching practices that use elements of popular culture, from fairy tales to anime, to promote new literacies in the classroom.

This call for papers invites researchers, students, and fandom participants to share their analysis of fandom practices from the multidisciplinary perspective of fan studies, as well as literary criticism of transformative works written in Spanish, focusing on intersectional perspectives of race, gender, class, and nationality in the study of fandom content. The publishing language is English.

Texts will be received in English and may include, among other topics:

Fandom and Communities: analysis of prosumer entertainment practices (discussion forums, Discord, cosplay) and the different discourses that are woven into them from an appropriation perspective of mass media content.

New Techniques; Evergreen Knowledge: mono- or multidisciplinary research on the role of new technologies in the creation of meaning, communication and safeguarding of native digital content.

Literature on the Internet: reflections on how platforms, archives or transformative works expand or complement the Latin American literary tradition.

Literary Criticism of Fandom Works and Practices: critical explorations from decolonial, feminist, critical discourse analysis perspectives, etc.

Fandom in the Classroom: description of fandom practices in the development of critical thinking, multimedia and academic literacy.

Allah calls Himself Al-‘Allaam— The Most Knowing, the All-Knowing— on four occasions in the Quran. He is the one with the highest level of knowledge. Al-‘Allaam is both All-Knowing and Most-Knowing; His knowledge is complete, perfect, encompasses all of creation, and is far above any other knowledge!

The Most Knowing, the All-and-Ever-Knowing

‘Allaam comes from the root ‘ayn-laam-meem, which points to four main meanings. The first main meaning is to have knowledge and be aware and certain, and the second is to gather information. The third main meaning is to have deep knowledge of minute details, and the fourth main meaning is to act according to knowledge.

This root appears 854 times in the Quran in 14 derived forms. Examples of these forms are ‘aleemun (“All-Knowing”), ‘ilm (knowledge), ‘alima (to know), ‘allama (to teach), and ‘aalemeen (the worlds).

Linguistically, ‘aleem is the intense form of ‘aalim (one who knows) and ‘allaam is the most emphatic form of the word. Al-‘Allaam therefore refers to the highest form of knowledge of all things, past, present and future, an attribute which only belongs to Allah ‘azza wa jall.  Al-‘Allaam Himself says: You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen [Quran, 5:116] … Say, ‘Indeed, my Lord projects the truth. Knower of the unseen.’[Quran, 34:48]

The Knower of the Unseen

All four times Allah’s name Al-‘Allaam occurs in the Quran, it comes in the same combination: ‘Allaam-ul-ghuyoob – Knower of the unseen. His attribute of being most knowledgable, All- and Ever Knowing is linked to the unseen as this is an ultimate example of how human knowledge fails, regardless of all our technology and scientific discoveries.

However, there are also those who falsely claim to have knowledge of the unseen. Related to this issue ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: Whoever tells you that he knows what will happen tomorrow is lying. Then she recited, “No person knows what he will earn tomorrow [Al-Bukhaaree]

The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi beautifully explained: … And with Him are the keys of the Ghayb (all that is hidden), none knows them but He…[Quranm 6:59] by referring to five things mentioned in Surah Luqmaan: Verily, Allaah, with Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allah is All‑Knower, All‑Aware (of things. [Quran, 31:34]

How Can You Live by This Name?

1. Strive for the best of knowledge. There are different types and branches of knowledge; one example that of things created by Allah, of which some are beneficial and others are not. Knowing all about the life of a certain pop star is an example of knowledge of no benefit to your life in this world and the next. Whereas knowledge of certain skills can be of benefit in this life to be able to practice a certain career. Another example of knowledge, which is the most honourable knowledge with most benefit, is the knowledge of the Creator Himself. So study His names and attributes with the intention to transform your life by them!

2. Realize the virtue of seeking (beneficial) knowledge. هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ – Are those with knowledge equal to those without knowledge? [Quran, 39:9] To which group do you want to belong? And the Prophet said: Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise [Muslim] Keep reminding yourself of the importance of daily seeking Islamic knowledg, instill this eagerness in your children and start by asking Al-‘Allaam to increase you in knowledge which will benefit you in this life and the next by memorizing this beautiful Quranic supplication: رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا (rabbee zidnee ‘ilma) -O my Lord! Advance me in Knowledge [Quran, 20:114].

3. Convey knowledge. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Convey from me even a single verse…[Al-Bukhaaree] and mentioned an amazing fact: By Allah, were Allah to guide a single man through you would be better for you than a herd of red camels [Abu Dawood, saheeh] Make it a mission to share a piece of Islamic knowledge with someone every day inshaa’Allah!

4. Be comforted and motivated. Let the all-encompassing knowledge of Al-‘Allaam of not only each leaf that falls, but also each of your thoughts and feelings comfort you and tell yourself in times of hardship: Allah knows. At the same time, realize Al-‘Allaam knows of every move you make, even when no other human being is aware, and let this motivate you to not only watch your actions, but strive to show Him the best of you, each and every day He gives you.

5. Leave a legacy of knowledge. The Prophet said: When the human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him [Muslim]. When you die, you cannot do a single good deed anymore and you never know when the angel of death comes for you. Out of His mercy Al-‘Allaam taught you above three deeds which will keep counting for you, even when you die. An example is printing a leaflet with Islamic knowledge, think of a project to leave a legacy of knowledge and ask Al-‘Allaam to give you the ability to make it happen!

O Allah, Al-‘Allaam, we know that Your knowledge is above any other knowledge. Guide us to beneficial knowledge, increase our knowledge of Yourself and accept our efforts to gain knowledge. Aid us in conveying the best of knowledge and adorn us with true awareness of Your knowledge so it instills a feeling of comfort in us and motivates us to do that which pleases You most, ameen!

- It feels like these kids had to grow up very fast in a world that seems unforgiving and harsh. They may be more unemotional and less empathetic, especially if personal placements support that.

The scene transitioned to the mess hall, where C9J18 and his peers sat in silence, eating their nutrient-rich chow. The HUD overlay highlighted their calorie intake, hydration levels, and metabolic efficiency. Even here, the Contextual Priority Filter ensured no unnecessary conversation or stimuli distracted from their task.

“Nutrition is monitored in real-time, ensuring each cadet receives exactly what their body needs. The suit tracks digestion, energy expenditure, and even waste management, all while maintaining seamless integration with the wearer.”

As the day wound down, the footage shifted to the barracks. The cadets moved in synchronized silence, stepping into individual alcoves built into the walls. The HUD displayed a notification: Sleep Mode Engaged. C9J18 lay back in his suit, his visor darkening as the comms went silent.

“When the day is done, the Mark IV ensures uninterrupted rest. Fully equipped with climate control and biometric monitoring, the suit provides optimal conditions for recovery—even in full armor. The visor’s sleep mode darkens gradually, synchronizing with neural rhythms to lull the wearer into rest.”

The camera lingered on C9J18 as his breathing slowed, his face calm beneath the visor. The overlay showed his heart rate stabilizing, stress levels dropping, and compliance metrics holding steady. The AI’s gentle hum was a constant presence, even in sleep.

“From dawn to dusk, and even through the night, the Mark IV is more than just a suit—it’s a system. A revolution. A future.”

The screen cut to the Intelligence Conscript and K7L32, standing side by side, both suited up, their visors up to reveal their shaved heads and sharp, cynical smiles.

“Of course,” K7L32 said with a mocking tone, “it’s not just about the tech. It’s about the transformation. You don’t just wear the suit—you become it. Isn’t that right, sir?”

The Intelligence Conscript chuckled, his voice dripping with sardonic amusement. “That’s right, cadet. The Mark IV doesn’t just enhance—it defines. And for cadets like C9J18, it’s the beginning of a life dedicated to the Republic. Efficient. Loyal. And, best of all... compliant.”

so, i have this little piece of analysis on the world building of winx club's original run. it was meant to be part of kind of a rewrite based on fate's tv show fumbles and i have contemplated the idea of making a video essay on it but since it will most likely never happen, i am posting here a snippet of the perspective i was the most salty about.

✨ technical spells ✨

(or whatever the english adaptation used to call them)

there are many aspects of the workings behind magic that are never explicitly stated in the series, but through the shows events we can deduce them. for example, witches use magic thanks to negative energy or something akin to "waves", elements that aren't necessarily spiritual. all witches seem to focus on mind control or natural phenomena and they don't have access to transformations (or they can access transformation-like powers without it); on the opposite side we see fairies who use positive energy or spiritual/conceptual powers (that's why we can have some kinda bs-y powers like "technology"): they are the most powerful when they transform. we know also that witches, if they so wish, can become fairies (just like mirta did) so it's really more of a choice than anything else.

what they all have in common is, evidently and weirdly, that they are female magic users. considering the context in which winx club was first released, i won't tap (too much) into gender identity matters for this post, so every time i talk about women in this post i am (unless specified otherwise) refering to cis gender women, as i could expand on trans perspectives but i prefer to refer to the canon for now.

in the second season, this phenomenon is tangentially but subtly explored. how, might you ask? this the season to be jolly, because an interesting character is introduced to do so: professor avalon. he is an expert of ancient magic, assuming the teaching role for a brand new class in charmix, which focuses on "technical spells".

what are they? avalon states that there is a significant difference between magic that fairies use in combat when they shout out random names and recited enchantments. so, technical spells seem to access a different magical source which can be taken advantage of through these very specific formulas and rituals engineered over the centuries by knowledgeable fairies, witches, enchantresses, wizards and so on and so forth.

this is extremely relevant.

not only it appears most of the witches magic is perpetrated through rituals of sorts, making them probably the primary technical spells user-base, but in this instance avalon says that the magic fairies usually use when transformed is somehow invoked from their within, and it's spontaneous. this is proven true in many episodes when the fatigue in battle derives from depletion of one's magical energy. and we know witches can achieve this ability, too. there is an internal and an external energy source. what is the origin of this internal magical capability?

we can point at various possibilities. but before we do that, i would like to explain why i think these may be the options.

up until the 3rd season, which is the original run, we never see (human) men using magic without any kind of aid. men (or men presenting, in some cases) who use magic are:

valtor, a demon made by trixies' foremothers

nabu, who needs a sceptre to use magic

dark circle's wizards (s4), who are implied to use in some measure earth's fairies magic, captured through millenia

saladin, a light's company/alliance member, uses a sceptre like nabu

wizgiz is a leprechaun

palladium is an elf

avalon too is heavily implied not to be (totally) human, because of his paladin form

men, in this status quo, have to either spend a great amount of effort, time and resources to master magic (but basically never master it like fairies do) or become a specialist. and here is the catch. in season 1 we learn something that basically confirms (or at least, so i see it) magix a women's world, as opposed to the world bloom comes from: specialists can be women as well.

while there are no male fairies, no male witches, and all male magic users are non-human or aided by external sources (magical objects and technical spells), it's implied there are, indeed, female specialists when darcy enters a specialists' bike contest and the announcer immediately identifies her as a woman. this alone doesn't confirm that female specialists are a thing and if they are they are probably very scarce, but the announcer let us deduce it by being taken aback but not commenting on how that shouldn't be possible in the first place. somehow, it's let to be understood that a female uniform exists as well. this may vary from adaptation to adaptation, but in italian there isn't much of an objection to her participation on the spot.

so, we can safely assume that there are no gender policies on academy enrollment in any of the schools. it's just not possible for men at the current state of affairs to enroll in alfea or torre nuvola. but women can enroll in insititutions like fonterossa.

❤️‍🩹 why is that? ❤️‍🩹

(or better put, why could that be?)

here the rewrite is heavy handed, but this can be a very fun and interesting thought. maybe magic is, at it's core, creation. magic is the ability to not change reality, but to make thing exist in reality. let me explain.

when flora makes dying plants vigorous, she isn't changing the plant's structure, she is creating the nutrients ex novo and providing essentials (such as sunlight previously absent) and making it so that the plants feels the benefits of those new things.

traditionally, and in the winx club world view, women hold this power. women have the miracle of birth on their side. and the power to make a new life has to, somehow, be the same that allow magic to flow. it could be whatever, you can call it life force or whatever.

so, magic could be inherently tied to one's fertility (and here various conversations could be started, as to "would a transmasc still be a fairy?" and "are sterile women capable of magic?") or the potential of it. faragonda is a great fairy, but she doesn't transform anymore and that might be why. she can still use powerful magic, though. most of it is relatable to technical spells, if we want to force this point of view, but i will let that to you.

another option is chance. at some point magic just happened and women are the one who got it for cosmical possibility and their appearance, as well as other invisible characteristics, are results of that magic and not viceversa as previously theorized.

or again, it's hormonal. maybe progesteron and other typically female hormones are tied to magic. or a fictional hormone is. this would allow men to use it too, in limited quantities and enhance it through external sources (accessible through previously stated magical tools).

this was, in my humble opinion, a great starting point for a hypothetical winx tv show. it could elaborate on a complicated world building while tapping into social aspects that, being the kids' cartoon it is, the original show couldn't. it could give a definite structure to the magic world and open up infinite possibilities for the earth's narrative that apparently lost all of his magic (but we know it didn't really), investigate new storylines and give some fairies god-like status (thinking about dafne and bloom rn). also it could be a great trampoline for so many environmental details, like people in the background using casually magic only being women and men rarely doing so.

it could also be an amazing way to explore complicated gendered issues of the real world, through a meticulous deconstruction operated in these new lenses.

why am i salty about this? 2 reasons. the live action didn't pick this up and THE ORIGINAL CARTOON FORGOT ABOUT TECHNICAL SPELLS AS WELL!! they are never brough up again. damn you, winx club.

|| Tantra: An Unexplored Science, Basic Meaning Explained. How Is It Connected To Bhagawan Shiva? ||

In Hinduism, there are three ways to worship any Deity-

1. The satavik way- In which we show our devotion to a deity using satvik ways like ringing the bell, offering jal, prasad etc.

2. The rajasik way- In which we show our devotion by dressing up in a specific way, using fragrance, using ratnas, some yantra etc.

3. The tamasik way- In which we show our devotion by using some specific rituals, dead bodies, animal sacrifices, sex etc.

It is common for people to misunderstand tantra, but it shouldn't come as a surprise because everyone possesses different qualities within them, namely Sato (purity), Rajo (activity), and Tamo (darkness).

Tantra provides a pathway to worship the divine through the Tamo aspect of our nature. In essence, Tantra is a science of the mind, a form of psychological exploration that aims to expand one's perception. The term 'Tantra' originates from Sanskrit and has multiple interpretations. One explanation is that it is a play on the word 'sutra,' which means 'thread' or 'formula.' If sutras represent individual threads of thought, Tantra can be likened to a loom that weaves these threads together into a comprehensive system of thoughts.

Another understanding is that Tantra combines the words 'tattva,' meaning the science of cosmic principles, and 'mantra,' referring to the science of mystical sound and vibration. In this sense, Tantra delves into the knowledge of universal principles and the use of sacred sounds for spiritual purposes.

According to Hindu beliefs, at the beginning of Satyuga, Bhagawan Shiva appeared as Swacchandanatha, possessing five mouths representing his five energies: Consciousness Bliss Will Knowledge, and Action. Through these energies, Shiva revealed the Tantras, some spoken through each of his mouths and others simultaneously recited through multiple mouths. These Tantras fall into two main categories: Dualistic and Mono-Dualistic, known respectively as "Shiva Tantra" and "Rudra Tantra."

When these five energies of Bhagawan Shiva unite in a way that each holds the others simultaneously, they give rise to 64 Bhairav Tantras, which are purely Monistic (Advaitic) in nature. The philosophical teachings expounded in these Tantras are referred to as the "Trika" philosophy or Kashmir Shaivism.

The origins of the sacred Tantras are believed to involve teachings initially given by Bhagawan Shiva to his wife, which were then passed on to human sages like Matsendranath. It is crucial to understand that Tantra does not advocate promiscuity but rather emphasizes extreme discipline. It is viewed as a technology or method to harness the energies within the body and from the surroundings.

According to Tantra, every human being with limited mental vision is spiritually ill. The true state of health is attained by transcending the constraints of time, space, and causation. The ultimate goal of Tantra is to replace the limited personality with an unlimited and permanent one, facilitating spiritual liberation and profound transformation. Indeed, the practice of Tantra is deeply rooted in the tradition of receiving Guru Diksha or initiation from a qualified spiritual teacher.

As Bhagawan Shiva emphasized in the Kularnava Tantram, all the practices advocated by Tantras, such as Yoga, Dhyana (meditation), Puja (worship), Japa (chanting), and others, are considered futile without proper initiation (adikshata). Just as seeds sown on stones fail to grow into plants, similarly, the efforts of an uninitiated person in these practices may not bear fruit. It's crucial to understand that Tantra is a profound and intricate spiritual path that goes beyond the understanding of today's science. It is not synonymous with black magic or superficial spells (tona totka). Instead, it involves a deep exploration of the mind, energy, and spiritual consciousness.

The Most Knowing, the All-and-Ever-Knowing

Linguistically, ‘aleem is the intense form of ‘aalim (one who knows) and ‘allaam is the most emphatic form of the word. Al-‘Allaam therefore refers to the highest form of knowledge of all things, past, present and future, an attribute which only belongs to Allah ‘azza wa jall. Al-‘Allaam Himself says: You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen [Quran, 5:116] . . . Say, ‘Indeed, my Lord projects the truth. Knower of the unseen.’[Quran, 34:48]

How Can You Live by This Name?

1. Strive for the best of knowledge. There are different types and branches of knowledge; one example that of things created by Allah, of which some are beneficial and others are not. Knowing all about the life of a certain pop star is an example of knowledge of no benefit to your life in this world and the next. Whereas knowledge of certain skills can be of benefit in this life to be able to practice a certain career. Another example of knowledge, which is the most honourable knowledge with most benefit, is the knowledge of the Creator Himself. So study His names and attributes with the intention to transform your life by them!

Realize the virtue of seeking (beneficial) knowledge. هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ – Are those with knowledge equal to those without knowledge? [Quran, 39:9] To which group do you want to belong? And the Prophet said: Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise [Muslim] Keep reminding yourself of the importance of daily seeking Islamic knowledg, instill this eagerness in your children and start by asking Al-‘Allaam to increase you in knowledge which will benefit you in this life and the next by memorizing this beautiful Quranic supplication: رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا (rabbee zidnee ‘ilma) -O my Lord! Advance me in Knowledge [Quran, 20:114].

Convey knowledge. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Convey from me even a single verse…[Al-Bukhaaree] and mentioned an amazing fact: By Allah, were Allah to guide a single man through you would be better for you than a herd of red camels [Abu Dawood, saheeh] Make it a mission to share a piece of Islamic knowledge with someone every day inshaa’Allah!

Be comforted and motivated. Let the all-encompassing knowledge of Al-‘Allaam of not only each leaf that falls, but also each of your thoughts and feelings comfort you and tell yourself in times of hardship: Allah knows. At the same time, realize Al-‘Allaam knows of every move you make, even when no other human being is aware, and let this motivate you to not only watch your actions, but strive to show Him the best of you, each and every day He gives you.

Leave a legacy of knowledge. The Prophet said: When the human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him [Muslim]. When you die, you cannot do a single good deed anymore and you never know when the angel of death comes for you. Out of His mercy Al-‘Allaam taught you above three deeds which will keep counting for you, even when you die. An example is printing a leaflet with Islamic knowledge, think of a project to leave a legacy of knowledge and ask Al-‘Allaam to give you the ability to make it happen!

Actually i already write it the beginning or at least the pilot version of Prince Sokka’s story of this Au of Avatar Toph (but i considering to rewriting and make better some things) Here is if you want to read it:

" Prince Sokka of the Water Empire, the firstborn of Water Emperor Hakoda and Kya, was expected to be great and powerful as heir to the throne. Sokka was an incredible genius, a prodigy in weapon proficiency, learning swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat exceptionally quickly. He also possessed a genius intellect, specializing in war strategy and developing engineering and science; he created submarines and was a principal figure in the Water Empire's industrialization and technological advancement. Born a Waterbender—a skill considered elegant—Sokka integrated his combat skills and tactics with his bending abilities. This made him Hakoda's favored child, symbolizing a perfect balance of combat prowess, intelligence, and bending—an essential combination for a great legacy in the Water Empire. Sokka embodied this ideal, but it placed immense pressure on him, making him highly perfectionistic. Much of his identity was based on fulfilling his father's expectations of being a symbol of power and control for the Water Empire. He believed that if he weren't that, he wouldn't be a man. He lived to meet his father's and his tribe's expectations, becoming completely frightened at the thought of failing. Simultaneously, despite being a mastermind, a perfect strategist, and a skilled fighter, he was terrible at waterbending. He didn't understand the nuance and spirituality of bending; it didn't fit his logical and pragmatic personality, and he felt he had failed. "He couldn't accept failure; he believed he only had the right to win to gain honor. To be respected, he needed to succeed at everything, even if it meant distancing himself from relationships and becoming ruthless—emulating the Water Empire's ideal of manhood: powerful, ruthless, and emotionless. Sokka was expected to be perfect from the beginning; he constantly needed to prove himself to earn his father's love and respect, his life was like walking on a tightrope where he carefully balanced himself so as not to fall into the abyss of insecurity. And when he fell he simply wouldn't know what to do. However, conforming to this masculine standard, he became similar to the cruel rulers of the Water Empire, distancing himself from his mother, who saw her sweet son transformed into a monster. He believed his mother saw him as a monster, becoming neglectful and distant because he reminded her of ruthless Water Empire man. He didn't understand her reaction; he felt she should be proud of him for being the man the empire needed, a symbol of pride. Instead, he felt guilty and traumatized that his mother viewed him this way, he felt abandoned. He questioned his identity and tried to show his compassionate and kind side to avoid being seen as a monster, but he knew his father would never allow him to show this "weakness." He understood that he would only be respected if he conformed to others' expectations, not his true self. He felt constantly at a crossroads regarding his true identity.He always need to being in a feeling of control to hide his insecurities. Ultimately, Sokka failed a mission, failing to meet his father's standards of perfection and success. He listened to his heart instead of his mind and ruined everything. His devastated father banished him to teach him not to embarrass the Water Empire legacy with "emotional" attitudes like his mother and sister's. Sokka fell from grace, going from Hakoda's golden child to a burden on his generation. Validation from his father and others was all he had for self-worth. His mother's distance created immense self-hatred, which he hid behind a facade of pride. To escape this shame, he decided to do something great to regain respect: capture the Avatar. He needed to appear perfect again to his father and tribe, even if he knew it wasn't true; he just wanted to feel that way somehow, to restore his honor. "

Well, that's what i created about sokka' background in this Au. If you pay attention his story have both elements of zuko and azula's story, i don't want to simply swap Zuko's entiry story on him, i want sokka to have more of a unique and different backstory of Zuko, making him like as a magnifying glass into the suffering of the golden children instead of neglected kid. But even after reading this, i consider to making Sokka being really mistread by Hakoda even in the beginning, he's position as a "golden child" it's gonna be only a facade since in the reality he's father sees him not stronger or good enough, and that it's only to make sokka have a fake confidence to make he feel better. Also, i thinking to make sokka only feel he was neglected by Kya, not that she sees him as a monster, because i think this is a little out of character. I don't know, what you think? Was this story of sokka in character for him? Does it need to change something? Should i make this upgrades that i suggested for Sokka's story?
