I have headcanons of all levels myself. They all have their moments to shine, sometimes they all even come together in a single fic. But the thing is, I have to remind me where each of them are in the canon-fanon spectrum, so I know when I can stomp my feet in a discussion because it's in-line with canon and when to bow down because I did Make Up Shit™ that's mine and the few friends I managed to convert only.

I feel like, in most fandoms I'm in, the entire conflict indeed comes from people not accepting that their fully Made Up Shit™ (affectionate) is not canon and still preaching it as is — which then leads to canon enjoyers/stickers to lash out even on people who do acknowledge their Made Up Shit™ is just that, and the cycle keeps going on and everyone gets hurt.

And yes, I like making my blorbos go full genderfuckery. Yes, I like my boys feminine. Yes, I can and will give them different pronouns if I feel it Fits™. Dresses go brrr. Accurate biology is for the weak, gimme that dragon funky body. Neurotypical? Throw that to the trash. Funky brains rule. I already made them gay — might as well go all out.

TL;DR Everything can exist at once and people can have fun however they want, but knowing how to keep their sandboxes separated when interacting with fandom at large is a must for everyone to have fun.

Day One of New Job: I seem to be the youngest person there by a wide margin. The single other employee who knows how to work the software I use wasn't in today, so they sent me home six hours early. (Technically, today isn't a work day for me, so I actually just came in for an orientation, but it's funnier to say I got to go home.) I have been given complete control over the materials room I manage and my hours are remarkably flexible. This could bode very well or very ill.

I live in one of the first states in America to roll back protections for transgender people and now allows discrimination for SUSPICION of being trans. It’s not meant to go into effect for a while, but we’re already seeing people getting evicted with no provided reason. I’m so tired of living in fear and watching others live in fear. People deserve to live a normal life even if it looks different to what others might expect.

My sister-in-law voted for Felon 47 and just went to celebrate her week off at a gay bar. Why does she get to vote for our rights to be taken away and still gets to invade/enjoy our spaces? I FEAR GOING TO THE GAY BAR BECAUSE OF HATE CRIMES!

I’m just so tired living the way I did before and now you add my rights being taken away? I won’t stop caring or spreading information, but I’m tired. The people don’t deserve this.

I feel like every US election I am forced to learn something new and stupidly exploitable by facists about how their voting system works.

Why the fuck do you need to sign your ballots? And what is the fucking point if you then also need to "cure" your ballot by calling up to confirm that yes actually that is your signature even if it doesn't exactly match the sample signature your state has for comparison because handwriting can fucking change for a multitude of reasons?

Literally only seems to be a thing for the purposes of making it possible to arbitrarily throw out however many votes the state wants to ensure they get their outcome. Which... does anyone really believe a country is a democracy if that can happen?
