📚 now that he's a child, percy has started school! every day, he logs into his virtual classroom for a variety of assignments and classes. it's a bit unconventional, but probably for the best.
(online school enrolment is from adeepindigo's education overhaul mod. such a cool mod, i definitely recommend checking it out!)
some yapping about my gameplay mechanics down here :P
for this save, i've decided to approach things from a more realistic lens regarding occults, and i'm testing the waters starting with percy. i'm not gonna be going too deep into worldbuilding surrounding human perspectives on the supernatural because that's a bit too much depth for casual gameplay, but i want to try and impose some semi-realistic restrictions because it personally keeps me more immersed lmao
strangerville is a really interesting place for the legacy to start because it's kind of like... anti-alien? or at least alien-hostile. my thought process is that with percy being an alien, his safety could be at risk if he was open about it, especially in strangerville where everyone is either a conspiracy theorist or military personnel. also with the description for generation 2 referencing the alien heir growing up feeling out of place, and the founder having the paranoid trait, i thought it might make sense for percy to have some disconnect from people around him because josie is sheltering him from the outside world. hence online school!
for future generations, if the heir in question is living in a more accepting society around them (ie, forgotten hollow for the vampire generation, or moonwood mill for the werewolf generation) they will naturally have an easier time. but for the more grounded in reality, human towns, i'll be making sure to implement realistic restrictions. i'll also probably make use of the education overhaul mod's occult school option if it feels like it makes sense (which didn't feel like the right choice for percy).
also, regarding the in-game alien disguise feature, i thought it might be a bit too easy to be able to use the disguise without any setbacks like in the vanilla game. i've implemented a personal restriction to keep things interesting where i can only have percy use his alien disguise once a week, almost like it's a special ability on a one week long cooldown. basically if he uses his powers to disguise himself too frequently, it could cause him to burn out. i think it makes sense!
i wasn't sure how to explain this storyline and these mechanics with my usual post formatting so i thought i'd just explain it lmao. if you guys have any questions about it feel free to ask!

"Need some extra simoleons for university? Sims University now offers a variety of scholarships for prospective students!"
This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Applying for Scholarships
Teen sims and older have a new “Apply for Scholarships” interaction available at the school rabbithole or on the computer under “Sims University Online”. Though they’re less likely to win a scholarship if they apply online rather than in person.
If your sim wins a scholarship, they will not be able to reapply for that scholarship again. If they do not win, they will be given a Disappointed moodlet and have to wait a day before applying again.

Types of Scholarships
There are four (4) types of scholarships your sims can apply for: General, Legacy, Skill Based, and Occult. In total, there are 18 scholarships, each with their own custom moodlet. 
Sims have a 45% chance of winning a scholarship in the General, Legacy, and Occult categories when applying in-person and a 40% chance when applying online.
Sims have a 6% chance of winning a Skill Based scholarship at Level 1 of the required skill. This chance multiplies with each skill level, with a maximum of a 60% chance at Level 10.
Certain traits can either increase or decrease your chance of winning a scholarship by 5% (note: this value stacks the more traits your sim has):
Increased Chance Traits - Lucky and Ambitious
Decreased Chance Traits - Unlucky and Loser
Some of the scholarship names are originally from The Sims 2 and the others I made up myself. They are listed below by category:
General
Young Entrepreneurs Award (§750) - Requires Level 3 part-time job, Teen only
Orphaned Sims Assistance Fund (§750) - Requires deceased or non-existing parents, Teen only
Golden Year Scholars Grant (§1000) - Elders only
Gemini Hidden Masters Prize (§1500) - Requires Level 10 in one hidden skill
Legacy
Student Service Workers Fund (§1000) - For sims with a service worker hidden trait (Makes No Messes, Pyromaniac, Can Apprehend Burglar, Can Salute, Immune To Fire, or Pizza Appreciator)
Cultural Exchange Program (§1000) - For sims with one of the hidden culture traits from The Sims 3: World Adventures
Students of Tomorrow Scholarship (§1000) - For sims with the hidden Future Sim trait from The Sims 3: Into the Future
Skill Based
Dreamer Family Artisan Award (§750) - Requires at least Level 1 Artisan Skill
Tsang Footwork Award (§750) - Requires at least Level 1 Dance (Store) Skill
Violin Society of SimNation Scholarship (§750) - Requires at least Level 1 Violin Skill

Undead Education Scholarship (§1500) - For Vampires, Zombies, and Ghosts
Extraterrestrial Reparation Grant (§1500) - For Aliens and sims recently abducted by Aliens

Maintaining Scholarships
After winning a scholarship, your sim will get the new custom Won Scholarship moodlet. They have a week to either enroll in online university with my Attend University Online mod, or in-person university to remain eligible for their scholarship.
If they fail to enroll in time, their scholarship will be rescinded and they will have to pay back the money they were awarded. If they can’t afford to pay back the scholarship amount in full, it will be added to their next household bill. (No free money here!)
Once a sim has a scholarship rescinded, they will get the new custom Lost Scholarship moodlet and be barred from applying for scholarships for 3 days.
New Moodlets
Won Scholarship: Given when a sim wins a scholarship, lasts 1 day, +20 mood, each scholarship has its own custom moodlet icon
Lost Scholarship: Given when a sim has a scholarship rescinded, lasts 3 days, -20 mood, makes sims stressed
Online Aptitude Test
Teen sims and older can now take the university aptitude test on the computer under “Sims University Online”. It works the same as the default interaction.
Tuning
All of the tunable values can be found on the mod download page under the header “Tuning”.
New Cheat
If you want to clear all scholarship winners in your world (on a per save basis), enter the cheat menu and type “ClearScholarshipWinnerData” without the quotation marks.
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

Sims 4 Occult Matchmaking Legacy Challenge
You can also find the following information on TikTok @bbgsim.
Required packs: Vampires, Werewolves, Island Living, Get to Work, Realm of Magic, Eco-living, Get Famous, Etc.
Basic Rules:
No money cheats
You can add any other aspects of the sims life unless specifically prohibited
MC Command center is allowed but you cannot cheat up skills or career levels. You may cheat down bills up to 50 percent.
All heirs must complete their aspiration
All heirs must reach the highest level of their career and max their occult ranking (excluding aliens and mermaids since they do not have one
Note:
This legacy challenge is meant to be pretty flexible, meaning there is a lot of room for you to add your own preferred type of gameplay to many aspects of the sims life.
The main point of the story is to connect occults through certain shared interests, aesthetics and story lines to end up with a very versatile family tree.
I suggest having the first 8 sims that are immortal live in one house together, then have the rest of the non immortal sims live in a more stereotypical legacy style home to make things easier for you, you do not have to do this however.
Generation 1; Vampire
Founder: Female, young adult
Traits: Mean, erratic, evil
Aspiration: Master Vampire
Appearance: Cannot use a dark form, so they have to always look the same. All vampires must have either red/gold default eyes or one of the vampire eyes.
Required maxed skills:
Mixology
Mischief
Vampire Lore
Career: Criminal
Must move into Forgotten Hollow with only the simoleons given from the game. This sim must eventually slay Vlad and marry another vampire born sim. Must have only one child.
Must have the sleeping in coffin weakness.
Generation 2; Vampire
Traits: Romantic, creative and mean
Aspiration: Soulmate
Appearance: Cannot use a dark form, so they have to always look the same. All vampires must have either red/gold default eyes or one of the vampire eyes.
Required maxed skills:
Painting
Vampire Lore
Career: Artist
This sim must meet and marry a werewolf. They must start out with a negative relationship and work their way up. This were wolf must become immortal. They must have a werewolf heir.
Must have the day phobia vampire weakness.

Traits: Kleptomaniac, loyal and self-assured
Aspiration: Werewolf Initiate
Appearance: Must have gold/yellow eyes

This sim must join the Wildfangs and become leader. They must marry another werewolf and have a werewolf heir.

This sim must excel in school and go to college. They must live on a lot with a green or neutral carbon footprint. They must go to Sixam and marry an alien sim, and have an alien heir.
Generation 5; Alien
Traits: Neat, insider and socially awkward
Aspiration: Friend of the world
Appearance: No set appearance
Required maxed skills:
Charisma
Career: Actor
This sim must join a high school club. They must achieve gold medals in atleast 3 part type events. They must reach max fame level. They must marry another alien and have an alien heir.
Generation 6; Alien
Traits: Cat lover, cheerful and animal enthusiast
Aspiration: Friends of the Animals
Appearance: No set appearance
Required maxed skills:
N/A
Career: Medicine or vet clinic
This sim must own a pet whether it be a dog, cat or a horse. This sim must marry a mermaid born sim and must have a mermaid heir.
Generation 7; Mermaid
Traits: Child of the oceans, family oriented and clumsy
Aspiration: Super Parent
Appearance: No set appearance
Required maxed skills:
Parenting

Career: Unemployed
This sim must be a stay at home parent and must marry another mermaid sim, and have a mermaid heir.

Traits: Bookworm, active and cheerful

This sim must marry a spellcaster and have a spellcaster heir.

This sim must work as a paranormal investigator for atleast one in game week before working as a chef. They must also befriend Bonehilda and become best friends with her. ✨ Magical Circle of Life ✨
5 generation legacy challenge
General rules
If you would rather listen to me going through the rules, I posted a video about this challenge HERE ♥
This challenge is technically 5 generations long, though the final generation has two occults, so essentially two halves.
The main objective of this legacy challenge is to experience and play through everything each 'occult pack' has to offer for that specific occult. You will have a hard time imagining any of these occults, if you do not own the packs. However, if you wish to play through this challenge and don't own some of the packs, feel free to skip that generation or use your imagination. (Packs used: Island Living, Realm of Magic, Vampires, Werewolves, Get to Work and Life & Death)
I have yet to play test this at the time of releasing this post and will be playing through this challenge on my YouTube channel. You can watch the episodes out so far HERE.
I have some experience with legacy and generational challenges, so each gen should be optimised for Normal Lifespan. However, feel free to try this challenge on any lifespan option.
I cannot play without mods and CC so those will naturally be allowed in this challenge. However, personally I advice you to keep cheats to a minimum. At least for me, big part of the fun in these kind of challenges is the grind. Enjoy the challenge that comes with having no money or having to make some real effort, it'll be worth it !
There are no rules how many kids your heirs can have (except for the final generation that is allowed zero kids) or which gender etc. the heir must be. Enjoy the freedom and unleash your imagination !
Big part of this challenge to me is also how "vague" the rules are. I think of them more like guidelines for exploring the pack thoroughly, instead of hard-set rules. That being said, there are occasionally some story-related rules that I'd like you to follow, which are always specified on each generation's rule card. Other than that, you have all the freedom to do whatever you want. You can do additional aspirations, have whatever traits (unless specified) and work in whichever career (unless specified/completed 10 levels on the specified career already).
I wanted to create a challenge that guided me through each active occult, a challenge with fewer hard-set rules and more freedom to tell different kind of stories, so I hope you enjoy that ! ♥ If you would rather read the rules in text form, I'm making a google doc version and posting it HERE once that is finished.

So, as I was watching @whinybrit's "Playing as a spellcaster because chat GPT told me to! // Sims 4 AI challenge" video, I got the idea of seeing if I can make a Legacy Challenge with ChatGPT. So I did! There aren't enough legacy challenges that are for occults. I had it made!
General Rules:
No Cheats: Apart from resetting money to the correct amount when starting.
Lifespan: Set to "Normal."
Heir Selection: Any child can be chosen as the heir, but they must follow the next generation’s theme.
Mods and Custom Content: Allowed if they do not provide unfair advantages.
Recommendations: Zer0's mods, @sp-creates Werewolf mod.
Legacy:
Generation 1: The Founder
Traits: Ambitious, Family-Oriented, Creative
Aspiration: Successful Lineage
Career: Business - Management
Goals:
Reach level 10 in the Business career.
Marry and have at least 3 children.
Build a house worth at least 50,000 Simoleons.
Appearance: Professional and elegant. Formal wear often includes suits or business dresses.
Challenge: Start with no more than 1,800 Simoleons after purchasing the lot and build your house gradually.
Generation 2: The Enchanter
Traits: Bookworm, Good, Genius

Generation 5: The Alien Ambassador
Traits: Geek, Clumsy, Genius

Max out the Rocket Science and Logic skills.
Complete the Nerd Brain aspiration.

Befriend and communicate with at least 10 ghosts.

🌱🔬 The Solo Scientist Legacy Challenge
💡 Premise: Your founder is a brilliant but reclusive scientist determined to create a legacy without romance. Using only science, they will have children who carry their exact DNA and raise them to be the ultimate thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers. Each generation will follow in their footsteps, refining their genius and shaping the world through knowledge.
📜 General Rules:
1️⃣ Every heir must be a Science Baby. No traditional pregnancies allowed—partners can exist but cannot contribute DNA. 2️⃣ No romantic relationships are required. Heirs may date or marry, but their children must be created through science. 3️⃣ Each child must inherit at least one trait from their parent. (You can reroll until this happens or manually select traits if playing with aging off.) 4️⃣ Every generation must have a career in science, technology, or logic-based fields. (See Career Rules below.) 5️⃣ The household should always be designed as a research lab or futuristic home. No warm, cozy cottages—this is a house of science! 6️⃣ All heirs must max out the Logic skill. Intelligence and problem-solving are the foundation of the legacy. 7️⃣ The firstborn (or best clone) is the heir. If multiple children are born, choose the one who most closely resembles the previous heir.

Diandra and Monroe de Vause are high school sweethearts that share a turbulent, chaotic life with one another in Brindleton Bay, along with 5 children: Regina, Naomi, Odessa, Somer, & Kai. After a traumatic event happens to their second daughter Naomi, causing her to dabble in poor habits & decision making, a family secret is unveiled, causing a rift between the matriarch and patriarch that they may never be able to come back from.

LEGACY CHALLENGE

My first ever Sims 4 Legacy challenge stars the Volkovs (generation 1 & 2) and the Kealohas (generation 2 & 3). We first started the series following our Founder Alexis Dionne Ketter turned Alexis Dionne Volkov as she paraded around San Myshuno looking for any daddy to give her woohoo or money. She found several - Roy D. Dillon, Tai Lum, Bjorn Bjersen, and Wolfgang Wilder - before eventually falling in love with her enemy, Kristopher Volkov, and starting a life with him in Moonwood Mill. Together, they share six children: Ezra, Autumn (our Heir), Nicole, Edward, Clint, and Renesmee.
Alexis is now an Elder, her dust era slowly approaching, and we have still been focusing on her as well as her daughter and our Heir, Autumn Priscilla Volkov turned Autumn Priscilla Kealoha. Autumn is currently an Adult, married to her Spellcaster childhood best friend Shanna Kealoha, and the two little lesbians recently welcomed their first {living} child, Sage Kealoha, into the world. But Autumn hadn't always had such a picture-perfect life; she struggled with severe drug addiction in her teen years and early Young Adult years after the sudden death of her big brother, Jacob Volkov, broke the heart of her former friend & lover Addison Chopra, had a rough battle with infertility, and miscarried her first son, River Kealoha. We will see what's in store for Autumn and her little family as they explore parenthood, the world of Spellcasting, and move away from Moonwood Mill.

My first ever Sims 4 Not So Berry challenge follows our Founder, Gwyneth Westwood of Windenburg, and her family; fiancé Joseph Bastianich, daughter and Heir Rosalie Bastianich, and half-human-half-alien daughter Bella Westwood-Stallings.
Gwyneth has a passion for science, logic, mischief, collecting elements, and romance. All she's ever wanted, besides succeeding as a WOC in her career field, is to be in love and have a baby. She eventually gets her wish, becoming engaged to her good friend, celebrity chef Joseph Bastianich, and having his baby and our Heir, Rosalie Bastianich. Though things get messy after a traumatic life event causes Joseph to become entangled with alcoholism.
Fast forward in the future, Gwyneth has stuck by Joseph and had a second daughter, Bella Westwood-Stallings, after getting abducted by Senior Pollinator Technician #3, or Tanisha Stallings, in the backyard of her home. Her life almost seems picture perfect as Joseph recovers from alcoholism, Rosalie blossoms into a teenager, and Tanisha becomes her good friend and a good mother to their daughter Bella. Little does she know about the secret Joseph is hiding from her and Rosalie.

NIKKI & AKIRA (occult)

The story of Nikki St. Germain & Akira Kibo was never meant to be a series, but their antics are so comical and ridiculous - especially since Nikki is my Simself - that I had to turn it into one.
Nikki simply went on a blind date, not expecting much from it, and happened to get paired with Akira Kibo - yes, the Akira Kibo - of San Myshuno. Things did not go well after Akira didn't flirt back with Nikki. She went home after, never expecting to see Akira Kibo again. It turns out that Nikki was deeply mistaken and had no idea what her future held for the two of them.
Akira asked for Nikki's forgiveness and the two began dating again, leading to an official relationship, until Akira cheated and contracted a WTD and almost gave it to Nikki. As revenge, Nikki broke up with him and turned him into Vampire, hoping he would fry in the sun. Little did she know that Akira would turn into one of the most powerful Vampires in the Simnation, win her heart over again, impregnate her with their daughter Beverly, and make their lives a living Hell.
I have not posted a Nikki & Akira episode since earlier this year, but I am highly considering bringing it back weekly or bi-weekly since the de Vause series is now retired.

The Sims 4 Occult Legacy Challenge: The Sacrificial Path
Prologue:
"In order to beat this challenge, you must understand that sacrifice is the only way to win, even if the sim is your favorite. By the end of this challenge, we will see if you have the strength to do what must be done. How your sims die and what they die for is in your hands, but you don't decide when—only the challenge does. Can you live with your sims' fates not being in your control alone? My advice: do not get attached. Sacrifice is a must, and survival is only for the chosen."
Overview of the Challenge:
Goal: Complete this challenge within 10-15 generations, following the sacrificial tasks for each occult.
Occults Included: Spellcasters, Vampires, Werewolves, Mermaids, Ghosts, and Bonus: Aliens.
Starting Household: You can begin with a full house of Sims—at least 1 human and 2 occults (any type except ghosts). All occults must be purebred to start.
Key Rule: Before the next generation is born, you must sacrifice 2-3 Sims from the household’s bloodline. Sacrifice can be either via in-game deaths or unique sacrificial methods. If you have a FULL Spellcaster in the house, they may bring back one Sim per generation, but only once.
Warning: If all 3 main challenge achievements are not completed before the last generation is born, EVERYONE in your household bloodline must die. The entire bloodline must end.
General Rules:
Sacrifices Are Essential:
Each generation, sacrifice at least 2-3 Sims from the household, related by blood or marriage.
Unique sacrifices are encouraged for bonuses (death by cowplant, drowning, fire, etc.).
Spellcasters can revive one Sim per generation if they are fully maxed out, but only once.
No one is safe—sacrifice or revival decisions are critical for family survival.
Quadro-Breed Child Goal:
Before the end of the challenge, you must produce a child that has four occult types (e.g., Spellcaster, Vampire, Werewolf, Mermaid) in one Sim. They may also be sacrificed if needed but are not mandatory for revival.
Max Out Occult Powers:
The final occult Sims in your household must max out all of their occult-related perks or powers.
Household Composition:
At all times, maintain at least 1 human and 2 occults in the household.
Mausoleum & Graveyard:
Build a mausoleum, graveyard, or have an anointed urn keeper to store the graves of sacrificed Sims. This is a permanent tribute to your family’s sacrifices.
Real Weddings Only:
No eloping—every wedding in this legacy must be a full, formal event. You’re building a legacy, and weddings are an important symbol of unity in this challenge.
Achievements to Complete:
Sacrificial Master:
By the final generation, you must have sacrificed 40 Sims permanently. Bonus points for unique sacrifices.
Master of the Occult:
The last generation’s occult must max out all occult abilities.
Quadro-Breed Child:
Have a child with four occult types before the end of the challenge.
Occult-Specific Tasks:
1: Spellcasters
Tasks:
Max out Spellcasting abilities.
Complete the "Spellcraft & Sorcery" aspiration.
Sacrifice Requirements: Sacrifice a Sim via death by spellcasting overload before the next generation is born.
2: Vampires
Tasks:
Max out Vampire powers and become a "Grand Master Vampire."
Turn 3 Sims into vampires.
Sacrifice Requirements: Sacrifice 2 Sims via death by sunlight or draining too much blood.
Vampire Dungeons: Create dungeons for human blood bags. These should be living areas where humans are kept to sustain the vampire household.
3: Werewolves
Tasks:
Max out Werewolf abilities and become Apex.
Defeat Greg.
Sacrifice Requirements: Sacrifice 2 Sims by death from rage or death from fighting.
4: Mermaids
Tasks:
Max out Mermaid powers.
Complete the "Child of the Ocean" aspiration.
Sacrifice Requirements: Sacrifice 2 Sims by death from drowning.
5: Ghosts
Tasks:
Have 2 ghost children with living parents.
Complete the "Soulmate" aspiration with a ghost partner.
Sacrifice Requirements: 2 Sims must die permanently—no resurrections.
Bonus: Aliens
Tasks:
Have an alien abduction occur.
Have an alien child.
Max out alien abilities and careers in science or space.
Sacrifice Requirements: Sacrifice 2 Sims by alien abduction gone wrong or death by satellites.
Later Generations:
Repeat the cycle with hybrid children, pushing for the “Quadro-Breed Child” as the generations progress. Incorporate hybrids into the family and work toward unique deaths and sacrifices.
Final Generation:
In the last generation, ensure all occult abilities are maxed out.
Complete all achievements and reach 40 sacrifices.
Produce a Quadro-Breed Child if possible.
If the achievements are not met, the bloodline must be destroyed, and every family member must die. Only then will the legacy of your occult Sims end.
Extreme Version of the Challenge:
The Extreme Version must be completed within 10 generations. You may live wherever or however you like—this is not a rags-to-riches challenge.
Mods Allowed: Mods such as Extreme Violence can be used to help with unique sacrifices and challenge progression.
Extreme Challenge Bonus:
A Sim who, at some point in their life, becomes every single occult type. This Sim must experience every stage of occult life: Spellcaster, Vampire, Werewolf, Mermaid, Ghost, and Alien.
You must fulfill the conditions for each occult, and then move them to the next stage. For example, start with a human, turn them into a Vampire, cure the Vampirism, turn them into a Spellcaster, and so on.
This is the hardest part of the challenge—a true test of whether you can manage multiple occults in one Sim throughout their lifetime. They may also need to be sacrificed at the end.
The Sacrificial Path is one of sacrifice, loss, and power. Only the strongest can survive. Will you let your emotions get the best of you, or can you lead your family to ultimate occult domination?

🩸 The cursed bloodline legacy challenge
“Misfortune is inherited. Redemption is earned.”
A 10-generation legacy challenge where every heir inherits a unique curse. Emotional, magical or circumstantial. The family must try to break the cycle.. or succumb to it.
Each generation includes:
- a curse (limits or sabotages the heir)
- Required traits, aspiration and career
- Goals/objectives

🩸 Generation 1 - “The bargain breaker”
“You asked for power, you gave too little. The price must be paid.”
Traits: Ambitious, Self-Assured, Mean
Aspiration: Spellcraft & Sorcery (You must fail it)
Career: Secret Agent or Spellcaster
🧩 Curse: The broken pact
You made a supernatural deal for power, love or immortality and failed to fulfil your end of the bargain. As a result, your lineage is cursed. Misfortune follows you. Supernatural forces meddle in your life, and your descendants will carry your debt.
Gameplay curse rules:
- Must live on a haunted or cursed lot
- All romantic relationships must end in betrayal or death
- Must never complete your aspiration, something always interrupts it
- No sim can die of old age while you live
- The grim reaper comes for someone you love (must witness at least 2 deaths)
Goals/Objectives:
- Become a spellcaster
- Build a luxurious estate, but always be alone in it
- Have 3 romantic partners, all must leave you, die or betray you
- Have only one child (the heir) born under strange circumstances (alien, occult or via unexpected pregnancy)
- Befriend the Grim Reaper
- Name your child something symbolic or ominous (optional)

🌑 Generation 2 - “The hollow heir”
“Born from betrayal, raised in silence. Who are you, when your life was never yours?”
Traits: Loner, Erratic, Gloomy
Aspiration: Randomised (or you can choose)
Career: Freelancer (or part-time jobs only, you’re too unstable for structure)
🧩 Curse: Identity fracture
You were born under strange circumstances. maybe your parents never spoke of the other half of you, or you’re not fully.. human. You feel like something is missing. You don’t know who you are or what you want, and every attempt to define yourself seems to fall apart.
Gameplay curse rules:
- You may not have any romantic relationships until young adulthood
- Must move out as a teen or young adult and cut contact with your parents
- If you’re an occult: Must reject your powers (avoid using or “cure” them if possible)
- Never live in a home with more than five windows, you fear being seen
Goals/Objectives:
- Have one meaningful friendship, they must die before adulthood
- Write in a journal regularly or paint. Self expression is your therapy
- Try 3 different careers/aspirations before finding one that “fits”
- Have an accidental pregnancy
- Pass along a “family heirloom” (a cursed object or photo)

🪞 Generation 3 - “The mirror child”
“You are the reflection of a thousand shadows. Do you see them in your eyes?”
Traits: Noncommittal, Romantic, Paranoid
Aspiration: Soulmate or any occult based aspiration

🧩 Curse: Reflection of the past
You inherit all the trauma, magic and mystery of the generations before. But nobody told you why. You don’t just feel haunted, you are. Ghosts follow you, mirror flicker and every time you fall in love, you feel like you’re becoming someone else.
Gameplay curse rules:
- Must live in a house with at least 5 mirrors (at all times)
- Must build relationships with ghosts (through séance table or graveyard)
- Cannot have any relationships that aren’t toxic or controlling until you break the curse
- Must “become” your parent: same career, aspiration or trait as them (even if it doesn’t suit you)
- You are constantly watched: must always have lot trait “creepy crawlies” or “haunted”
Goals/Objectives:
- Build a medium skill or become best friends with a ghost
- Get married to someone manipulative or mismatched. Must divorce or leave them later
- Always keep a mirror in every room of your house
- Try to repress your occult powers (if you have them) but eventually embrace them
- Have twins, one “light” and one “dark” (or opposite traits/occult types)

🌓 Generation 4 - “The split soul”
“One twin was loved. The other was watched. Only one will inherit the truth.”
Traits:
- Heir: Perfectionist, Overachiever, Neat
- Other twin: Hot-Headed, Jealous, Evil/Loner
Aspirations:
- Heir: Academic
- Other twin: Public enemy
Career:
- Heir: Military
- Other twin: Criminal, freelancer or unemployed
🧩 Curse: Twin fates
You are one of two. Bound by blood, fate and a curse. But only one of you was ever meant to carry it. The family favours one twin over the other. The legacy can only continue through one of you.. but both will feel its weight.
You must choose which twin is the heir, but both are vital to the story.
👯‍♀️ Twin mechanics:
- Create opposite twins (ideally with clashing traits or occult status)
- You may switch control between them until the heir is chosen as a YA
- The non-heir twin must either die, vanish or betray the heir
Gameplay curse rules:
- You must control both twins until a key event forces a break
- The twins cannot be happy at the same time. If one achieves a goal, the other must suffer
- Heir must accidentally cause harm to the other twin (fire, rejection, etc.)
- A mirror must still be kept in the heir’s bedroom. Their past is always watching
- If either twin becomes a ghost, you must keep their grave on the plot permanently
Goals/Objectives:
- Reach the top of chosen career for the heir
- One twin must master the mischief or vampire skill
- Have a sibling rivalry story
- Begin researching the origin of the curse. Hint at generation 1’s dark pact
- The heir’s child must be born on a cursed holiday (spooky day, winterfest, etc.)

🌓 ALT PATH: The other twin
“You were born second. You were born silent. But you will not die forgotten.”
‼️ This is an optional but powerful subplot for Generation 4 and beyond. Think of the other twin as a ghost character, villain or shadow legacy line that either ends.. or evolves. You can play them parallel to the main heir, or have them return in later generations.
🩸 Origins:
The other twin was denied love, legacy and light. Maybe they:
- Were rejected for being occult
- Were cursed by the family to protect the heir
- Were abandoned or neglected
- Fled after a violent incident
They left, but the curse never left them.
Gameplay rules:
- Must move them to a different lot or household
- May not have a full household of their own (symbolic isolation)
- Cannot have more than one child unless you’re continuing a “Shadow legacy”
- Must engage in occult, criminal or mischief gameplay

The other twin had a secret child. Occult, powerful and unaware of their cursed legacy. This becomes an alternate heir in a later generation, or a wildcard sim who returns to claim inheritance or revenge.

The twin embraces the family’s darkness. They protect the truth of the curse at all costs. Sabotaging anyone who tries to break it. They are not evil, they are the guardian of balance.

Gameplay curse rules:
- Must use the medium skill or realm of magic to “commute” with the past
- Cannot marry or commit until the truth is revealed (later in life)
- May not erase or release any ghosts from the family lot
- Must keep a journal (via writing or display item) that documents your dreams/visions
- Occult status is unstable. Must either change state mid-life (human → vampire etc.) or suppress/reject powers

🧩 Curse: Living Sigil
You were born cursed on purpose. Your conception aligned with a forbidden time. A cursed holiday, a blood moon or during a supernatural event. The spirits marked you. You are now the living tether between the curse and the bloodline. It festers inside you, drawing in bad luck, dark entities and rage.
You are the generation where things begin to spiral out of control.
Gameplay curse rules:
- Must carry a “mark” from birth. Choose a visible tattoo, scar or occult form
- Negative events happen around you constantly. Must use volatile lot traits
- Any close relationship must suffer: you must cheat, betray or be betrayed
- Cannot be happy for more than 24 in-game hours (cheat to flip moods if needed)
- Must die once (and be resurrected through occult or social means) you cannot stay dead yet
- Must complete one aspiration fully, and then reject it (move on, divorce or quit career)
Goals/Objectives:
- Be publicly admired, secretly cursed, reach fame or notoriety
- Get engaged or married, then have the relationship collapse dramatically
- Die (fire, poison, drowning etc.) and be brought back by a family member or occult pact
- Break or destroy one family tradition
- Have a child in chaos: during a fire, storm, ghost attack or tragedy
- Realise you’re the reincarnation of the original pactbreaker (Gen 1’s sin returns to you)
Optional supernatural element:
- Add a “watcher” NPC or ghost who appears frequently. Only you can see them
- You mag create a duplicate sim (evil doppelgänger or reflection) as the manifestation of your curse
- Or: have a cursed object (a mirror, a book, a mask) that influences your behaviour

Career: Any non-occult, modernised career → Tech Guru, Civil Designer, Astronaut, Influencer
🧩 Curse: Defier’s burden
You were never meant to exist. A child of disaster, a survivor of fire betrayal or death. The spirits hissed when you were born. You were supposed to continue the curse. Instead, you chose to rewrite it. You challenge everything: tradition, blood, the rules of death itself. But rewriting fate comes with a cost.
Gameplay curse rules:
- You must reject your legacy at a young age (run away, quit school etc.)
- Must leave the family lot by teen or early young adulthood and start with nothing
- May not use family funds or inheritance
- Cannot marry until the curse is challenged through ritual, ghost confrontation or symbolic art
- Cannot keep a traditional grave for your parent. They are buried off lot or forgotten
Goals/Objectives:
- Refuse all magical/occult interactions until you choose to claim them
- Destroy or hide at least 2 family heirlooms or gravestones (symbolising erasing fate)
- Discover an alternate interpretation of the family curse. Something no one knew before
- Have one child who is born during a lunar eclipse, New Year or other major symbolic event
- End the generation by making a great personal sacrifice: leave your child, give up your powers or die saving someone else
Optional fate mechanic:
- Use dice, cards or a random number generator at key points to simulate fate trying to interfere
- Example: roll for relationship succes, chance of miscarriage, job loss etc.
- You can rewrite fate once per generation, you get to ignore one failed outcome

🧩 Curse: The inheritance of echoes
The legacy was shattered. The heir before you cast aside the bloodline’s darkness. You should be free. But something else grew in that space, strange dreams, uncanny coincidences, moments where the air shimmers and your reflection doesn’t match. The curse didn’t end.
It changed. And now it’s part of you.
Gameplay curse rules:
- May not choose a single occult identity
- Create a hybrid identity: glitchy behaviour, strange outfits, offbeat routines
- Use “alien logic” : do what doesn’t make sense narratively (pursue weird careers, unpredictable partners)
- Every week, something about your sim visibly changes (hair, tattoos or facial markings)
- Must spend at least one full sim day in isolation each week (madness or rebirth?)
Goals/Objectives:
- Create 5 unique hybrid or experimental items (servo bots, plasma cocktails etc.)
- Build a lab, greenhouse or temple to yourself
- Befriend or create a non-human entity and treat them as family
- Have a child through science
Optional mechanics:
- Use color and sound symbolism. Each major moment in your life must change your color palette, wardrobe or build style
- You may create a “glitched” clone or alternate version of yourself via cheats or storytelling
- Leave behind a new prophecy, something that will shape generation 9

You don’t inherit. You become.
Gameplay curse rules:
- You must define your own species, this can be symbolic or literal:
✦ A Sim with unique genetics (alien skin, glowing eyes etc.)
✦ A Hybrid
- No parental guidance. Your parent vanishes, dies or retreats into isolation
- Cannot die (use cheats if needed) you are “immortal” for this generation
Goals/Objectives:
- Alter at least 3 sims permanently. Turn them into your new "kind" or influence their fate
- Sim must never use a phone, computer or modern tech. They are untouchable
- Have a child only through supernatural, ritual or science

- Once born, change the season to eternal winter or eternal night
- Sims in your world glitch, change or disappear when they get too close
- You can create “Cult of the bloodstar” NPC sims who revere or track your movements

This generation is all about one word: decision. Do you ascend, erase or propagate?
Gameplay curse rules:
- Start life under intense observation. Born famous, into a cult or into prophecy
- Must choose a final path at young adulthood
✦ Prophet: spread your kind, grow followers, become a public supernatural leader
✦ Ender: hunt your family’s relics, destroy occult sites, isolate the bloodline
✦ Balancer: build a secret society that keeps the old knowledge hidden but protected
- Must complete two full aspirations of your choice
- Cannot die until the final decision is made
- Must leave behind one permanent mark in the world: a building, a grave, a family tomb or a published book/painting
Goals/Objectives:
- Visit every grave of every heir from generations 1-9
- Commune with at least 3 ancestral ghosts or spirits for final wisdom
- Have one child, one apprentice or one clone. Your final echo
- Choose the ending and lock it in:
✦ Erase it: Destroy the bloodline. Release all ghosts. Move graves to public lot. Burn the house. No heirs.
✦ Preserve it: Create a sealed vault, tomb or book that protects the knowledge. End the family tree but preserve the story
✦ Pass it on: Allow your heir to begin anew. Not cursed but changed. Start a new legacy or a volume 2
Optional legacy epilogue:
- Make a custom family tome or video chronicling the story (screenshots, writing, grave markers)
- Upload your final sim/lot/story to the gallery as “The final testament”
- Begin a new challenge with your heir… but never speak of the curse again!

I asked chat gbt to come up with a fairy legacy challenge and this is the result !
Core Concept: A lost fairy bloodline must restore its magic and rebuild its mystical society across ten generations. Each heir embodies a different fairy type or elemental theme (nature, mischief, moonlight, etc.), slowly restoring magic to the world and building a hidden fairy realm.
🔮 Mod Notes (Optional But Recommended)
Use fairy mods like SpinningPlumbobs’ Fairies Mod or Lot 51’s Wings & Sparkles for a full experience.

🌱 Gen 1 – The Forgotten One
Theme: Nature Fairy (The Last of Her Kind)
Start as a spellcaster or "hidden fairy" living alone in the woods.
Live off the land—gardening, foraging, fishing only.
May not have a job—earn money through nature.
Must discover Sylvan Glade or reach the Magic Realm.
Goal: Grow a perfect garden. Have a child in secret (your heir).
🔥 Gen 2 – The Emberling
Theme: Fire Fairy (Rebel Spirit)
Breaks away from tradition and moves to the city or a modern home.
Must have the Hot-Headed or Erratic trait.
May only cook with fire (no quick meals, microwave).
Master Mischief or Comedy skill.
Goal: Get kicked out of a club or lose a relationship to conflict. Build a fire-themed room or garden.
💧 Gen 3 – The Dewdrop
Theme: Water Fairy (Peaceful and Empathic)
Must live near water: Brindleton Bay, Sulani, or a riverside lot.
Must swim, bathe, or relax in water daily.
Can only marry a Sim they save from drowning or comfort after a death.
Master Wellness or Painting skill.
Goal: Have a serene wedding near water. Reach max empathy if Parenthood is installed.
🌬️ Gen 4 – The Whisperwind
Theme: Air Fairy (Traveler & Dreamer)
Must move worlds at least twice.
Can’t stay on the same lot for more than 1 week until reaching YA.
Must keep a journal (or write 5 books).
Aspiration: Freelance Botanist or Fabulously Wealthy.
Goal: Reach level 10 in Photography or Writing. Have a child with a Sim from a different world.
🌑 Gen 5 – The Night Bloom
Theme: Moon Fairy (Keeper of Secrets)
May only go out at night (8PM–6AM) until they have a child.
Must live in Forgotten Hollow or a spooky forest lot.
Master Medium or Logic skill.
Collect all crystals or frogs.
Goal: Hold a successful séance or ghost dinner party. Build a fairy graveyard.
🌸 Gen 6 – The Blossom Queen
Theme: Spring Fairy (Revival & Leadership)
First heir allowed to create a Fairy Council (club system).
Must befriend at least 5 Sims and have them live in a “fairy village.”
Build a fairy garden with all seasons represented.
Must raise bees or bugs.
Goal: Max Gardening. Write a fairytale book or host a Flower Festival event.
🕸️ Gen 7 – The Shadowling
Theme: Trickster Fairy (Guardian of Balance)
Must start with Evil or Kleptomaniac trait.
Lives a double life—criminal by night, artist or healer by day.
Must have a secret room or basement.
May not marry—can only have forbidden romances.
Goal: Steal 10 items and return 1 to each generation’s home lot.
✨ Gen 8 – The Starborn
Theme: Cosmic Fairy (Outsider & Mystic)
Must be an Alien or Spellcaster with glowing skin/wings.
Can only have alien or occult friends.
Must visit Sixam at least once (via rocket or scientist career).
Live in a futuristic or space-themed lot.
Goal: Complete Nerd Brain aspiration. Name their child after a constellation.
🍂 Gen 9 – The Rootkeeper
Theme: Earth Fairy (Historian & Protector)
Tasked with preserving fairy history.
Must restore the family tree (portraits, genealogy).
Create a secret fairy library or underground archive.
Must master Archaeology or Handiness.
Goal: Collect all MySims trophies or relics. Build a Tree Shrine.
🌈 Gen 10 – The Unifier
Theme: The Rainbow Heir (All Elements United)
Final heir born with traits from all past generations.
May live anywhere, be any occult, and choose any career.
Must invite all living relatives to a reunion.
Marry their soulmate and pass on the legacy.
Goal: Complete any aspiration. Build the “Fairy Court” lot with shrines to all generations.

Occult Legacy Challenge Rules
This is my take on asphodel moon's Occult Legacy Challenge. Many of the rules and goals have remained the same, but I've updated a few to better align with the most recent packs and features.
