I know quite a lot about prison life for someone who's never been to jail.
The best way to gain power in prison is, ironically, through making deals (like demons in hell). If you keep your word enough, you become known as someone reliable and trustworthy to those that used to have power outside (like mafia bosses).
So, in prison, the most powerful people are (a) The Store Man, (b) bookies, (c) anyone who has connections to the outside, or (d) scholars.
Luci could rise to power from being a scholar or an outside connection. Like someone who could help you get a lawyer to re-examine your case or help you study your own case (there is a surprising number of self-made lawyers who get their law education in prison).
MOST likely though, Luci could be a Store Man: someone who runs a small store in his cell and makes deals (like: for the price of three Ramen noodles, I could get you a pack of cigarettes, but you'll owe me four Ramen next time due to interest). They may seem harmless at first, but they know everyone's debts and will make the rest of your sentence hell if you don't pay up. Plus, they are untouchable because they've anchored themselves as a pillar of the community. They don't even have to hire bodyguards, because the whole prison knows that if anything happens to the Store Man, the small pleasures of the outside world (like candy or nerdy socks or even drugs) will be gone forever. And the amount of brains, business know-how, and client history they have are irreplaceable. Once you lose a Store Man, he's gone. I think he would be known throughout the prison as the guy that can get you a cool rubber duck. It's a little taste of home that you can't get anywhere else that just brings a little spark of joy in such a hopeless place, and all the inmates are absolutely feral for them.
I like the idea that Luci gains power in prison from just being a nice, helpful guy. (Apparently, nice guys do very, very well in prison, as long as they treat everyone with a certain level of kindness and respect. Kinda like what Charlie is trying to to accomplish with the Hotel.)
Tumblr media
Holy shit. You have no idea how awesome this is, actually! I really wish I knew more about prisons now tbh LMAO but this actually helps a lot!
I definitely agree with your idea about this being the way that Lucifer gained power! So I think that, taking this into consideration, I think there's three main things that made people respect him and fear him
1: like you said, he is actually a pretty nice dude, he's kind and even tends to respect the most vulnerable in prison. I'd like to think that it's actually thanks to him that the rate of assaults in that prison are so somewhat low. He brings a certain order to the place, and is also in control of the whole "inside economy" so to speak.
2: He is rich, so he actually DOES have incredible power outside of prison. Charlie is able to visit him a lot because he has great lawyers. I'd imagine he is also able to hook up some people with lawyers and reduce their sentences a little bit.
3: he is actually REALLY strong, and maybe most of the inmates have never witnessed it with their own two eyes, and not a lot of people really know why everyone fears him, but there are rumors going around that Lucifer is there because he killed 10 people on his own, cold-blooded. This is of course, an exaggeration, he only killed 1 person and it was to protect his daughter, but it the rumor got out of his hands and he doesn't care to correct it. It is especially believable because of that one time Lucifer sent an inmate to the hospital for 6 months for having made a... Let's say, poor in taste comment about Charlie. Nobody saw that guy again.
Lastly, that one DEFINITELY sounds like Angel! We know Angel is hyper sexual, but he IS also part of a mafia family (which is why he's in prison) so he'd definitely have those kinds of tricks up his sleeve!

I'm so fed up seeing videos about "the downfall of mcyt" or "mcyt history" and then the creator only mentions DSMP and maybe a few youtubers they watched. Like... there. are. so. many. creators. who. counted. or. count. as. mcyt. Here are my thoughts.
There are so, so many who counted, and still so many who count. And yeah, DSMP is an important part of MCYT history, but it's so recent in comparison. Like. Minecraft is a cockroach, it will go through so much shit and still be alive and active. Yes, there are the names who bring or brought down the name of MCYT, but in comparison they've always been such a small part of the community. They need to be remembered for their bad actions, or illegal in some cases, but defining the community by them is not good. Nor is just using one fucking smp.
I have watched, or attempted to watch, those types of videos on the history or the downfall etc., and I always complain internally about it. THERE ARE SO MANY PROMINENT MINECRAFT CONTENT CREATORS THAT FUCKING MADE CONTENT. Some don't make Mc (minecraft) content anymore or they rarely do but it doesn't mean they shouldn't be mentioned. (Yes I know, it's an impossible task to talk about all of them, but mentioning three or four as "the og mcyters" or "the old popular mcyters" just angers me)
DSMP I would say helped with the mc resurgence, but I can say similar to SMP live and SMP earth. I count SMP live as pretty important since I think people started watching the streams and videos from that smp and when DSMP happened people treated the content the same and watched it a lot. People started watching again, then with the boom of content in the covid lockdown people watched more. It wasn't just DSMP though.
Listen if you want to do a video about how DSMP affected you or the minecraft community, sure yeah that's a video to make. If you want to do a video on a specific few ytbers who you watched and how they affected the community yeah sure that's a video to make. To say "these are the three main" that's for you. To you they were the main three. To make the video of "all of mcyt history and mc as a whole" and mention 3 people......... and then DSMP.................... I don't understand you.
I've been a MCYT fan for years and years. As a child and as an adult. From E for everyone videos to watching videos that fucked with my innocence and just exposed me to shit I shouldn't have been watching at the time. Year after year watching different types of videos and different creators. Supporting people and finding out I shouldn't, and supporting people and them being good people. To challenge videos, parkour, adventure maps, droppers, role playing, role playing, let's plays, tutorials, modded content, horror content, hide and seek. So many different types of content exist for mc, and I've been a watcher for a lot of it.
DSMP should not define MCYT. There is too many people who have made content for me to just accept that.
Hold people accountable for their actions, do not define a large community by a few people, and if you want to talk about your favorites affect in the community go right ahead but please don't call them the most popular or most important. Some people might never of heard of them. (I am thinking of the do you know this mcyt blog)
#mcyt#dsmp#smp live#smp earth#Just mcyt as a whole is what im talking about theres so many youtubers out there#im just not up for people minimizing how much mc content exists.#edit: so youre not going to mention hermitcraft or stampy or prestonplays or popularmmos or aphmau or SCOTT SMAJOR or ihascupquake or#or any of the “little” crew or skydoesminecraft or shubble or captain sparklez or hbomb94 or rtgame or jacksucksatlife or amylee33 or Jamal#or wattles or squaishy or bajancanadian or jeromeasf or vikkstar#like yeah you need to mention Technoblade cause hes DSMP and skeppy and Badboyhalo are all that but they HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR FOREVER#techno gets the best commentary on him since you know#like so many of the hermitcraft people as well are so og mcyt to me and NOTHING is usually said about them#like fucking ldshadowlady and smallishbeans are also so og and scott and seepeekay and oli and like that crazy craft smp is so old so good#ssundae too im literally going through doyouknowthismcyt queue sheet for these names and i feel insane please please please talk about more#fucking mcyters then the dsmp ones i have fondish memories of dsmp dont hate on me but there is so much more you can talk about in videos#i feel so repetitive but i needed to express my thoughts on it#edit edit YEAH HOLD ON I FORGOT TO MENTION WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER FUCKING LANGUAGES AND COUNTRIES#theres other countries and other fucking languages people made mc content in i forgot about it for a sec#yeah they are definitely never mentioned

Hey shaz,
I definitely think that Jikook will be loud af when they get back from MS, or as loud as they can be. Major things will start adding up and making sense in our usual subtle (ISH) breadcrumb way.
But I suspect it'll be a new chapter for BTS, as a whole, on the relationship front. The boys are extremely successful, only getting older, and I think a lot of chapter 2 was them prepping the fandom to see them maturely as well. It's highly likely some of the guys are starting to think long-term both career-wise and family-wise (they're pretty young actually but the idol life moves FAST)
With how famous they are, though, (idols in general), it's so risky to make relationships public unless you're really serious. Read somewhere that they're pushed to keep things secret as much as possible unless it's like a marriage announcement? I'm curious, how do you think the guys will handle this? Cause they're known to break stereotypes and in a way, they could be tired of the airtight romance lock..they're not exactly teenagers sneaking around anymore
Take Taennie (or just Tae with any partner), all this time they had their reasons for keeping it on the down-low, and I suspect partially with the engagement shipping brings in for the company. But I feel like everyone's in new phase of their lives now, so idk if those reasons would still apply to push ships in 2025+ content.
Would love to hear what you think and if you guys know how older K-pop groups handled marriages and transitioning from that ''teenage/young adult, flirty image"?
I honestly believe BTS will be the ones to pave the way when it comes to normalising Idols having rlships. They start everything and others follow. I mean, watch other groups start enlisting together. Boracity did a video about how BTS paved the way
youtube
And then also these 2 videos about things BTS started and others followed.

So I can picture the dating thing going on this list. They've never been into fanservice much anyway to begin with and like u said, 2022 & 2023 was them reminding us they are adults. So high chances are when they come back they might be done pretending they don't use their private parts.
V was the first ever idol to somewhat publicly out his rlship. Yes, he later backtracked 🙄😒 but still, he will go down in History for having had the guts to do it in the first place. But damn this man has some shitty fans. Have y'all seen the reactions since the fri(end)s teaser came out? He may have the most fans out of all 7 but they are just horrible. Absolutely horrible. Jimin had so much support when he had a woman in his MV... Heck I don't even remember anyone giving JK shit for his female features but V.... gosh. Do these people even care about him?
Anyway. I digress.
Back to your question. I am not really a Kpop fan, just a BTS fan. So the only person I know is Taeyung. When we first found out Jimin was gonna do a song with him, people were calling him problematic. Turns out his only crime was getting married. That's literally his biggest scandal. Fucking SK, man. 🤦🏽‍♀️
This thing of idols treating fans as their girlfriends is super problematic. I imagine BTS realised that and stopped doing it the older they got. You bring up a good point; It's not just Jikook who will change when they get back, the other members too. Jikook will stop hiding, sure. But... I wonder which other members will do the same. Whatever the case, I'm all strapped in and ready for the ride.

more dante more dante fuel my obsession
dantes relationships with the others? :>>
Oooo good question :0
I'm gonna make this mystreet exclusive lol if you want mcd you're just gonna have to send another ask >:3c
Nova: much like in mcd, regards her almost like a little sister, although that's a relatively recent change. In high school, when he was much closer with Garroth and Laurance, he was way more focused on playing wingman for them, and as such tended to accidentally treat her more like some kind of prize. He's doing his best to make up for it now though <3
Aaron: sorry danron fans but these two do NOT interact, not in my heart (or my rewrite).. they don't have a huge amount in common, and before becoming close to Nova Aaron was a completely closed book, so there's no really reason for this two to really know each other. As such I think dante would have super neutral opinions about him
Garroth and Laurance: close friends, but not as close as they were in high school.. as teens they were quite the trio, but most people's focus was always on Garroth (rich) and Laurance (charming), and not usually on him. It definitely affected his view of himself, and after becoming friends with Travis and Aphmau he started to distance himself from the others.
Travis: literally best friends, inseparable, attached at the hip and have been since high school lol. So attached at the hip, in fact, that they are constantly pushing the boundaries of a platonic relationship, always hugging and cuddling, sharing beds and stealing a few kisses, all they need to make it official is the label lol. They won't though, because while they are EXTREMELY close there's no real romantic feelings between them
Zane: pretty bad opinion of him in hs, and he kept that same view well into adulthood until Nova finally insisted that Zane was a good guy at heart. Nothing changed between them immediately, but Dante did open up to the possibility of change. Now a days he's got a pretty neutral opinion of Zane, leaning towards good. He still things Zane's cold, but he does understand what Nova sees in him :)
Katelyn: really respected her as teens, but as they've gotten older he's found he has less tolerance for her. Her treatment of Travis grates on his nervous, and while he understands why she defends Nicole with her life he really wishes that didn't involve talking down to him
Lucinda: he's genuinely terrified by her lol. She's gorgeous and intelligent and powerful, and it intimidates him a lot. He respects her a lot for it, despite how nervous she makes him, and does his best to stay in her good graces
Nana: he didn't used to ever really pay attention to her, but lately she's been catching his eyes and he's developed a lil crush 👀 he's incredibly nervous about asking her out though, given his previous dating history and her proximity to Katelyn. He doesn't wanna risk repeating what happened with Nicole with Nana
Nicole: his first love, the two have had a very rocky on-again-off-again relationship throughout the latter parts of high school, college, and even early adulthood. They broke it off again early in s1 on somewhat negative terms, and he tries not to dwell on how much he misses her
Gene: looks up to him a lot, even though he knows perfectly well that Gene got up to some shady shit back in the day. Their mom was always busy trying to support them as kids, and their father dipped shortly after he was born, so he's always considered Gene the closest thing to a real parent he's ever had
Zenix and Sasha: he's friendly towards them, but to him they've always be Gene's friends rather than his own. He knows them pretty well however considering how frequently they were around growing up, and he's pretty proud of how the whole group has changed since school

It really hurts me to see things like racism and islamophobia in feminist spaces. I find a lot of women who hold these beliefs are actually well meaning, (for eg. They'll direct racism towards whatever foreign men are known to abuse women of their ethnicity, or they'll spread messages of islamophobia because the religion is known to hallow traditions such as child marriage, physical abuse towards women, and the execution of women for perceived crimes such as unfaithfulness to their partners and/or promiscuity.)
What ladies who do things like this fail to take into account, is that we are currently still living in a patriarchal society. If you direct hatred towards men, fine. But once you begin directing hatred to men of a particular community, it becomes less of an issue with men and more of an issue with that whole community, since men are conventionally seen as the representatives of whatever communities they are in.
Yes, I know this is usually not the intention, but the actual result is just further oppression directed towards the women within these communities. If want to say 'men'. SAY 'MEN'! Yes, they fucking suck! They've done it all! But you begin derailing whenever you say 'Black men. South Sudanese men. Hell, even if you say 'White men' you are oppressing black people. South Sudanese people. White people.
Feminism is about protecting women, not just your women. If you exclusively want to protect your women, in my opinion that would make you a nationalist and/or a blatant racist. That's fine too. But I do think it does misrepresent actual feminism to prospective sisters when you actively speak out against the communities they are a part of, much less when you support its oppression.
To be honest, I'm not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that. I have no doubt whatsoever that outside of feminist spaces they shit on women of colour just as much as they do on men of colour. They just don't do that directly here (as much, anyway, because some of them definitely do) because they know they're less likely to get away with it.
Plenty of women here have said that men of colour don't get a pass for being misogynistic, and that men of colour crying racism against white women for being wary of them as well as white men are denying male violence. So the radblr racists pretending that we value anti-racism over fighting misogyny is not accurate.
Like "men of colour are just as dangerous as any men; facing racism doesn't stop that" is a factual statement. The second you try to claim white men are safer is when we take issue because no the fuck they are not. For white people to claim men of colour are safer is racist because it's infantilizing, romanticizing, noble savage bullshit. To claim that white men are safer is the opposite side of the same racist coin.
With that being said, yes, there are societies where women are treated worse than in others, but to act like that's a condition of being black or brown is inaccurate and gross. Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. were further along with women's at one point than many western countries.
What we should be seeing it as is a warning: if it can happen to them it happen to us. No, not because of immigrants but because men having been doing this shit to us all around the world for millennia. And women have always fought for their rights. You look through the history of any society and you find that progress is not a straight line. Women gain rights for a time and then are pushed back down.
My nana warned me never to think it couldn't happen in my own country. The USA is a perfect example of a country sliding backwards when it comes to women's rights and that is mostly being done by white men. White men who, as it happens, LOVE telling white women they need white men to protect them from the raping black and brown men. Meanwhile white women are mostly raped by white men. And white men let those men go free and blame the women for it.
And, you know, the racists of radblr could easily see this if they chose. They don't because they don't want to. While they make accusations about our priorities, it's they who prioritize being racist over feminism.

There's a twisted level of fun in writing a character that isn't out right disrespectful. Of course, what Freebird says and does to Sweetheart is definitely disrespectful but it's always a case of "it could be worse" which is why, in canon at least, it goes on for so long because he isn't crossing any lines.
At least not yet.
There's a tightrope walk in making sure Freebird is just the right level of toxic without crossing entirely into that antagonistic territory. It's really the desperation for Sweetheart that helps.
Freebird is meant to written like a main character who doesn't know yet that he really isn't the main of the story he is currently in. It's why he isn't stationed in Decking City so there's that constant "This dude has no idea wtf is really going on here" thing.
Because he is meant to be a protagonist, he never straight up calls or refers to Sweetheart as a "bitch" or anything out of her name. He'd never consider it because he has morals.
However, he makes it well known how he wishes she's get rid of some of her body hair because "Imagine how much prettier you'd look!" and pokes fun at her over professional attitude around him with "You really gotta relax some. It's holding back your cute potential!"
Things that obviously suggest Freebird desires Sweetheart change things about herself to fit his tastes.
There is also very obvious over familiarity going on here where Freebird treats her like they've been pals for years while everything Sweetheart knows about him, she's learned against her will. They only met when she was in her soloing years after the Beloveds all broke up, which is a mere fraction of the time she's known Bitterbat. Freebird goes as far as to have a nickname for her that makes her bite her tongue so she doesn't strangle him on the spot whenever she hears him call her "Sweets".
He has dropped a "Sweetie Pie" and that was the closest Sweetheart got to dropping him. She held back though and ditched her whole professional act with him as she replied with a sharp "Do not ever refer to me by that name again". A statement that easily sounds like she hates being called that nickname in general, which was the point. In reality, that was Bitterbat's first nickname for her and remains his favorite to use. And having her least favorite person say it makes her feel sick to her stomach because of the history he is unknowingly stepping on.
Freebird made sure never to make that mistake again.
I personally think the most disrespectful thing Freebird does (not that all his other actions aren't disrespectful) is how he talks about Sweetheart to other people. Because he's a big American hero. Everyone knows about him and whatever he says makes big waves. He is super influential and popular. So when he talks about Sweetheart, referring to her as pretty and cute and constantly drops statements that make it obvious he views her romantically, many are going to view her as Freebird's love interest. And that pushes the idea that they are going to end up being together.
An idea Freebird does jack shit to reject because that's what he wants. And even though Sweetheart constantly rejects any romantic questions about him, dispelling any rumors and gossip, the ship continues to thrive.
Sweetheart has tried to talk to Freebird about talking sense into everyone but he always does a half attempt. The most he does is state Sweetheart isn't into him, yet always follows it up in depth with how much he admires her. He thinks they are meant to be together because they both are great heroes in their own right. He's the #1 hero of America and Sweetheart is #1 in Decking City. She obviously knows what she's doing and does it well and that's something Freebird can respect and admires.
It's needless to say that Freebird has been around a fair share of ladies. He's basically a celebrity so he has a list. And Sweetheart is the one at the top that he is hoping to be his end game.
Bittersweet is the top Sweetheart ship in Decking City and progressively the rest of the world. But before Bitterbat returned, during the years Sweetheart was working solo, Freeheart was at the top due to how many people shipped them.
And he hopes that Sweetheart will see how many people want them to date so she'll realize how well they'd go together. Sadly, a lot of these shippers wind up sharing the same views about Sweetheart that Freebird does where they also wish she'd shave and act cuter.
Of course, not everyone views the ship with rose tinted glasses. There are plenty of people that disagree with it, stating how uncomfortable Sweetheart looks when she's in public with Freebird or has to talk about him during interviews. There's whole compilations focusing on how much she doesn't like Freebird. But they get drowned out by the masses that think the two look adorable as a couple.
And it's not a matter of Sweetheart not making it obvious she isn't into Freebird.
She constantly states she doesn't see him romantically. She wouldn't even go as far as to call him a friend. He's an acquaintance of sorts that does great hero work. And she strongly desires that said great hero stops trying to get in her pants while simultaneously trying to slip a ring on her finger.
But damn near every girl he interacts with is into him. So it's hard for him to comprehend that there's even one that doesn't find him somewhat attractive save for the girls that are only into girls. Freebird is, sadly, an ally. He ain't an amazing one but he is one.
He's constantly trying to win Sweetheart over, including sending her gifts and messages through her Hero PO box that the Decking Defense Squad gives all their heroes so they can interact with fans safely.
Sweetheart never keeps any of the gifts. She gives them to someone else, typically people she know like Freebird.
Freebird is a part of my storyverse equivalent of the Avengers/Justice League with his own elite team of heroes. And it's very hard to get in. But Freebird doesn't hesitate to offer Sweetheart a spot right next to him on the roster. Something she constantly rejects, never caring for the elitism of the hero world.
Sweetheart cares about keeping civilians safe. Something Freebird also cares about. He just also cares about his status as a hero and all the perks that come with it. He figures if he's risking his life every day, he might as well live it to the fullest with all the perks that come with being one of the biggest heroes in the world.

No matter what, Israel will never erase Palestine from history. As it stands as a colonial project, Israel only knows how to destroy and co-opt. It's why they claim things like Hummus or try to appropriate the keffiyeh or even make terrible versions of Palestinian liberation songs (someone deadass tried to make a pro-israel version of Dammi Falastini and it sounds as bad as you can imagine).
Like Israeli zionists want to claim so much of Middle Eastern/Arabic culture but THEY FUCKING HATE MIDDLE EASTERN PEOPLE. Their identity as white supremacists clashes constantly with their wanting to be seen as more indigenous than Palestinians.
If they're not talking about why they hate Palestinians, then they're talking about why they hate Arabs and Muslims as a whole.
White culture through white supremacy is nothing but destruction and thievery. I've said this before but the victories of white supremacy can only exist when they've destroyed other people or culture.
However, Palestinians have proven that they not only know how to make due but they succeed despite the occupation. Their literacy rate and education is so amazing that Israel has to make up shit to get one of the contributors of that factor shut down.
Palestinians are proving to be kind and caring no matter their circumstances and still find ways to have fun and keep displaced children smiling and keeping their own animals fed with what little they have.
Palestine knows how to build and cultivate. They been doing for centuries.
Israel just takes.
Israel won't last because Israel doesn't create a culture, it steals from other cultures and in the case of Jewish culture, it purposely vilifies it in the eyes of the world to facilitate the need of a Jewish homeland. Why else are they putting on these showings of being Jewish while committing war crimes? (Mind you, Jewish people have been calling out shit like this and are being called a Jewish slur by Zionists or being treated like some race traitor)
Tumblr media
Israel wants people to associates Judaism with murder, kidnapping of children, and all of the anti-Semitic stereotypes Jewish people have been fighting.
Zionists want Jewish people in one place and that can't happen if Jewish people don't feel threatened enough everywhere else. Israel promotes anti-Semitism in a way that's just unhinged and people are eating that shit up without thinking.

So so so glad White Fang is already included because swear to god the number of racists in the fndm that see absolutely nothing wrong with "Rooster Teeth created a fantasy race of Animal people who all act like Animals and get treated like Animals by their human love interests and they've been an enslaved race until very recently and one of them was literally physically branded as the property of the White Germanic Multibillionaire Princess Protagonist, and humanity still discriminates against them and treats them like animals so they started to engage in disruptive protest like theft and property damage against abusive racist corporations, and so then they DESTROY AN ENTIRE FUCKING NATION AS VICIOUS VIOLENT EVIL TERRORISTS WHO WEAR MONSTER MASKS AND THE MAIN ONE (the one physically branded as the property of one of the protagonists) IS A LITERAL HATE SINK TURNED INTO AN ABUSIVE STALKING MURDEROUS INCEL WHO CARES MORE ABOUT HURTING THE OTHER UWU PROTAGONISTS THAN ABOUT HIS OWN PEOPLE WHO HE MURDERS BECAUSE THAT'S JUST WHAT REBELS AND FREEDOM FIGHTERS DO I GUESS by the way some of the writers and voice actors for the series literally said that they based the Faunus on black people and based the White Fang on the Black Panthers"
I can't post images on Anon and don't want to send this on main, but I have a screenshot of a note that, for several months, was listed in the 'Trivia' section of Adam Taurus's page on the Villains Wiki, which said "Adam's goals reflect that of certain real life groups in America in the 2010's, that claim to want equality when in fact they want control" iirc I don't remember word for word, point is, it was very obviously claiming that pro-racial justice groups are trying to take over through terrorism "just like the White Fang"
And I once received a long barrage of anonymous asks from somebody yelling at me that the White Fang arc wasn't at all racist, it was ACKSHULLY a "brave" and "Well written" story the Heroes at Rooster Teeth were telling, admitting to the "Unpopular Truth" that the Black Panthers and BLM were "violent reverse-racist terrorist groups" and he literally sent me like twenty asks vomiting genuine qanon shit into my inbox all about how evil the Black Panthers and BLM are and how the Noble Brave Heroic Rooster Teeth was "speaking truth the rabid SJW's don't want to hear" and "admitting things the Left doesn't want anyone to know" and they were PROUD OF ROOSTER TEETH FOR DOING IT
Meanwhile I *constantly* see people of color in the fndm get shut down, silenced, invalidated, talked over, smeared, harassed, lied about - all because they criticized the racist writing in rwby and particularly the White Fang. Whole ass white Karens will literally shut people of color down and "explain" to them how the White Fang arc couldn't POSSIBLY be racist because *it's not as if the whole story was made up by non-black writers who have histories of racism one of whom literally posted the N-Word on Twitter in fucking 2016 when the show was literally airing it's third season or anything....* /sarcasm Miles Luna did in fact post the N-Word on Twitter as a 26 year old adult in 2016 when RWBY was in it's third season.
And he did once refer to himself as a "White Guy" who didn't know shit about racism
And he and ALL his Rooster Teeth buddies have twenty years of video evidence of Rooster Teeth's content in which they're ALL fucking racist (the vast majority of RWBY's controlling creative team being comprised of Rooster Teeth management and "talent" and therefore having been prominent on-screen members of the team while they all have a grand old racist time togehter)
So yeah the White Fang arc is mind-staggeringly racist ON PAPER, two hundred times worse to watch it play out in execution, written by an openly racist asshole and produce by his Buddies who run an openly racist studio, and adored everywhere by unabashedly racist fans who literally apply the extreme copaganda found in the show to the real life people groups the writers based the White Fang and Faunus on.
It's sick to say the least

The fact that Dancer didn't create FCG does add some context to why rich npcs in particular don't understand that he's sentient.
The story until now has been that Dancer created FCG, who is an aeormaton simply because that's the Exandria-brand name for a sentient automaton. The way they have been treated seemed to be a result of most people being unable to tell the difference between an automaton and an aeormaton.
The revelation that Dancer did not create him tells us that sentient automatons aren't just rare, or hard to identify at first glance. Aeormatons are (still) impossible to create with modern technology. And I doubt most people know both the ancient and very recent history of Aeor off the top of their heads, so they're probably not expecting aeormatons to be walking around for one reason or the other.
This is more significant to those rich enough to afford a top-of-the-line automaton, because they're more likely than the average person to know what the top of the line looks like, and they know there's nothing like FCG out there. On the other hand, to the average person who knows approximately shit-all about magic and engineering, that's a Whole Guy. They act like A Guy, magic is real, there's a lady with them who seems to be dripping black slime from her eyes, why should the robot be the weirdest thing they've seen today?

Are the show writers aware that the Blacks are not the underdogs of the story? These guys have more dragons and more houses on their side. The only issue is Rhaenyra's sex but she has that more or less covered by marrying Daemon who is viewed by the misogynistic lords as the true power behind team black.
On the opposite aisle there's the Greens with fewer dragons and fewer houses. They are led indirectly by the Queen Alicent and Otto. Only by grit, stubbornness and spite did the Greens pull a surprising twist in the end, wiping out Rhaenyra and Daemon not only physically but also from the histories of Targaryen Kings and Queens. Many people assume the greens are the top dogs because they have a male heir and tradition favors their side. But the show has given almost no indication of any of these being an advantage. In fact the characters and their cause is treated with outrage and scorn in the show writing itself...as if they're making a grave mistake of challenging Rhaenyra's claim.
So which is which with these writers? I for one don't see The Blacks as the underdogs of the story. But thaz just me.
The show was built up and pitched as "The Avengers" of ASoIaF - basically GRRM's favorite characters - coming together to fight the evil-doers.
Now, on the surface, GRRM's world and writing doesn't work that way. However, when you get a bunch of room temperature IQ HBO Executives who are agenda minded over story telling, you get the good progressives vs. bad conservatives narrative that is germinated through-out the show. And I know that for a fact because - a now fired - former executive from HBO admitted that personally at a party that "Progressive Agenda" in their content was mandated in the "Trump Era".
So, to be fair, The Greens didn't stand a chance of getting a fair shake from the get go. It was basically mandated by the Studio Heads of the time that the Greens had to be an allegory for Trump Supporting Catholics. It was actually a selling point to Sapochnik who felt so fucking strongly about American Politics that shit for brains had to make some artistic statement - or his wife did.
They've dog whistled the Greens being bad from the beginning, from Criston beating to death a gay man to trying to make Alicent look like a Hypocrite by actively skewering Aegon's character from the beginning to make her both a bad mother and Stockholm victim of her own ideology.
Cause let me tell you as a minority - who looks like Criston Cole/ Fabian Frankel could be my brother (I'm not kidding) - and who is Roman Catholic and staunchly in support of Trump, there is nothing that a privileged white progressive hates more than a conservative woman - especially if she's a minority.
Alicent is and remains a lightning rod for every sexist and bigoted progressive to take out their weird and creepy hatred of women on and still claim themselves virtuous because of their assured cultist beliefs, it's fucking strange.
Also, the other problem is that the Normie fandom has been trained by "Game of Thrones" to root for the people with silver hair and the traditional Red Three-Headed dragon on a sable field. while the book readers, who should know by now from "Fire and Blood" and especially "Dunk and Egg" that the Targaryens are the fucking worst - which is the whole point of Dunk teaching Egg to be better than his family throughout the series. The hardcore ASoIaF fandom read obsessively but don't question the narrative as a whole.
@duxbelisarius did a 12 part Military Breakdown of the conflict and all the inconsistencies. But still, your average GRRM fanboy will agree it's fucking stupid, but let GRRM's bias in the narrative dictate their point of view. And in the end they just crave the blood shed and darker elements. Which - to be fair - has always been a part of the fandom since I joined it in 2009 when I was 19.
There's just a ton of factors, but those are the big ones.
Studio/Showrunners political mandates in the "Trump Era"
"Game of Thrones" residual bias for the normie fandom
GRRM bias toward characters creating false sense virtuous protagonists.
And a near fandom wide conditioning of disliking institution supporting moral characters.
I could write an essay about it all after 14 years, but that's what I've got tonight/this morning

the whole 1975 thing pisses me off. people cant seem to comprehend that this isnt some black and white situation where its just homophobia because its so much more than that. i couldnt care less if he jacked off on stage, the problem is that he did this in a country thats incredibly queerphobic and because of that is incredibly strict on what bands can play here and what they can and cant do/say. We malaysians don't get alot od international bands as is, so bands like this and the strokes coming here of all places in our shit hole country is huge. but him saying and doing all that did this:
- cancelled the entire event because our government caught wind of it and shut it down after the first night when it was supposed to go on for 3
- probably made the rules and restrictions for bands to play here even tighter
- made other bands hesitant to play here
- maybe even tightened up the laws on queer people here in general, even more worse than they already are
- possibly put a lot of queer malaysians in general in danger because if the pigs suddenly decided to investigate the event further and question the organisers or people who attended and those people happened to be queer and they found out? theyre going straight to jail because that's how queer people are treated here by our government
yeah there are a good chunk of people here angry purely because of homophobia, that fact isnt something that can be denied or glossed over. but the most important thing here is the queer people that are gonna be put in danger. we're already consistently used as a political scape goat. but now we've finally started to take baby steps in the right direction of progress after finally electing the first pm in our history thats leftist (when in reality he's centrist at best) and now with how matty healy behaved and what he said, our governments fear of queer people have been confirmed and we might be in even more hot water. they've already discussed about making being queer a mental illness and this might give them the push to confirm everything.
what he did did nothing but do bad. we didnt need some white guy to tell us how oppressed we are, how queer people are ridiculed discriminated and abused, trust me buddy, we've lived here all our lives, we know, we dont need any white saviour telling us this.
people will scoff at countries like Malaysia because of how queerphobic it is and simply throw any empathy and kindness out the window, but people seem to forget that this queerphobia exists for a reason. the queerphobia here exists because WE exist, because WE QUEER MALAYSIANS EXIST. it doesn't just exist just because, they're hateful of us because we are here, they're hell bent on getting rid of us because we are here.
I've seen some people say "then just don't get international bands" why? why dont we get to have the opportunity to see the bands we like? why dont we get to have fun? what makes so inherintly lesser that we dont get to indulge in stuff like this like people from other countries do? we already are barred from being openly queer, is it so much to ask that we just want to have a good time by seeing bands we love? do we not deserve that just because people think our government and the shit heads here represent our entire country, acting like theres absolutely no queer communities here constantly fighting for our right to exist? is that why people think so lowly of us?
queer malaysians are now in danger and our progress have been set back 50 steps thanks to matty healys "activism". I understand that he did it in good faith, but it just came off as entitled, privileged and selfish, especially with how he handled it after the fact.
if you're here to argue or insult me on this post, dont bother, im blocking you. im not wasting my time.

What are your thoughts on Batman: Black Mirror? I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with that story mostly because I adore its characterisation of Dick and how the story depicts legacy and history, but Synder's ableism is so apparent.
If it's alright for me to share my two cents: I enjoy that a lot of the arc (particularly the first 3 issues) revolves around the theme of "history repeating; first as tragedy, then as farce" which was typical for Bat titles of the time. The Dealer and James Jr. trying to intellectualise "might is right" despite resorting to same old greed-fuelled murder. Dick Grayson coming into his own as a not-Bruce-Wayne Batman, who's standing on the shoulders of giants and reckoning with the ghost of the Batman's (and his) past. Barbara and Jim Gordon having to deal with Jim's biggest mistakes of all in the form of James Jr resurfacing. I also loved Dick and Babs' moments and their relationship draws on this theme: they have so much history together, they loved each other, they get each other like no one else does, they've been there from almost the beginning, they've been allies, partners, friends, lovers, exes, fiancés, and now they're something pretty un-labellable if you ask me. (Thesis-antithesis-synthesis in a sense :P)
But shit. The ableism is problematic. I think it's two main things, though I might be missing something. First is Dick's nightmare vision where his worst fear is him losing his legs. And second is James Jr being written as a "psychopath" as oppose to, I dunno, the literal embodiment of toxic masculinity (fucking wasted opportunity) to be a foil to our favourite flamboyant, pun-slinging, back-flipping, hoping-inspiring boy scout Dick Grayson.
What do you think of this arc?
I’ll confess that I am the odd one out in that I just. Do not get the appeal of black mirror. Even excluding the ableism (and it is VERY ableist). Like people say it’s great Dick characterization, and it’s fine, but it’s not like it stands out especially among other comics of the time IMO.
Like, Dick and Babs’s moments in this comic are not notable for me, because she is reduced and written as lesser to make her someone Dick has to protect, she is damselled and written as less competent – hwo does James get past her security so effortlessly? Why does she not finish him off when she has the advantage after beating him up initially? Like the whole reason I like Dick and Babs’ dynamic is because they are written as equals in the initial version of their relationship, Black Mirror just made it a stereotypical ‘scared woman (b/c she is treated as scared of James, even tho she does try to break out), strong man saves her’ thing. James Jr would not be a threat to Babs in her own solo title. That means I think it fails in being respectful of the depiction of her history, so I would say that Snyder does not succeed there.
I also would disagree that we see Babs and Jim having to deal with Jim’s greatest mistake, when like I said Babs doesn’t really do much.
I do agree that they had a lot of opportunity to parallel James and Dick as toxic masculinity vs healthy masculinity, but it’s wasn’t the authorial intention at all, so I don’t give it any credit for that. The authorial intention was “Good, neurotypical dick* vs Evil, neurodivergent James”. I would honestly consider the way they diminished Babs capabilities to prop Dick up more ableism in the story as well, in addition to sexism.
I think that critique of the Might is Right mindset is done much better in many 80s/90s Batman comics, including Batman: Venom. The text was much more overt there, and less hidden behind ableism.
Anyway, so sorry :P but basically Batman: Black Mirror is one of those “everyone talks it up” but I’m just like the *insert her GIF*. It’s a pretty stereotypical batman story. In terms of Dickbats stories, I consider it one of the more mid ones. I genuinely don’t know how it is so popular :P
*ignoring headcanons or readings of earlier texts…. The way Snyder writes him is intended to be read as neurotypical

17 and/or 18 for writer ask meme, please?
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
So glitter and gold started as a prompt response to @garbria, and in the replies to that post we started bouncing ideas and then I realized the idea of a fake dating AU would be hilarious. But I wanted to do a fake dating AU where the issue is not miscommunication, but kind of the opposite. Over communication. And also for the fake dating to have stakes but not the usual fare that comes with a bit of betrayal or hurt.
And I wanted to write a comedy, just something lighthearted and fun, and so the final prompt was: fake dating AU, where Nyx volunteers to be Cor's lover to get Cor out of hot water, but where no one actually believes them, while they go extra hard into it. So now Nyx and Cor have this very complicated story they've sold themselves on, but the people they're trying to con (Regis and Sylvia) have seen through them since day one, and are instead popcorn-gif-ing at the shenanigans.
The fun is the fact they're so well matched and they're very in love with each other but privately doing the song and dance about how much the other likes them and if the other is interested in like... long term relationship, as opposed to the fun back and forth of their con. And like, everyone around them can see the obvious resolution, but they've got hangups and their own stuff to work through.
And then I just keep throwing shit at them because it's fun.
Like, I didn't need to do the worldbuilding for it, but like. Why not? Why not a new world with new rules and new shenanigans? Why not a Cor that's actually a LC and then what that would mean for the world? Why not add an entire massive subplot about magic and the gods and what's going on in the world? It's a brand new romantic comedy about Cor and Nyx and their idiot life choices, written by me, why the hell not.
So there we are, bits and pieces have been shared but I don't want to spoil what's coming. I'm having a lot of fun for it! :D
18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end. Spicy addition: Questioner provides the passage.
So this is an awful passage to choose but I think it's something a lot of people missed? And it's one of my favorite bits of characterization in the sun is out, and how it anchors Cor and shows his connection to Aulea:
Tumblr media
Specifically, Cor declaring that he's "decided" on the answer, regardless of what the actual answer is. It's the kind of nonsensical thing you don't really expect from him. He's so solid and composed and generally agreeable. Cor is very chill throughout the sun is out, he makes a point to not get ruffled or angry. And when he is, he's very clear on why he's upset.
So this blindsides Nyx, because the whole fight over Nyx's stasis is very... it's not fun. It hurts and it's awkward and it's a solid mess. But I wanted to highlight that bit, because I wanted to show what Cor is like, when he's pushed into a corner and he's lashing out: and what he is, is basically Aulea. He treats Nyx the same way Aulea treated him, because Aulea is still the measuring stick he uses to figure out the world, and when he encounters something he can't deal with, he legitimately regresses into that dynamic, toxic as it was.
Here's Aulea's version of it:
Tumblr media
"I've decided" is the code phrase: it means taking agency from the other and setting the rules and refusing to negotiate. It's deeply, profoundly fucked up. Cor knows, viscerally, how upsetting it is to be on the receiving end of that.
But Nyx has accidentally triggered him and basically set his PTSD on fire without meaning to - Nyx asked him to kill him, or at least try, and Cor thought he was over Aulea, he really did, and then he remembers she asked him to kill her to, in a way, only she didn't have the decency to tell him doing what he did was going to kill her, until he was done, and welp.
Welp.
It's a very vulnerable moment, for Cor, it's the closest to shattering Cor has been in the entire series. And I love that Nyx snarls and hisses and doesn't bend to it, not the way Cor did to Aulea, when she did it to him. If Prompto hadn't been hurt, they'd have been in a very precarious situation, but Prompto being hurt reminded them both, viscerally, that they're in it together, and therefore allowed them to put their feelings on hold until they were sure their son was fine. That reminded them of their priorities and the larger picture and allowed the feelings to soften somewhat.
Without that buffer, though? Oh, they would have fought horribly and possibly split up for a while before they cooled down and figured out how to reconcile, but it would have been fairly painful, because they're in the space where they'd be saying things they probably don't really mean, but they're hurt and triggered and frothing about it.
It's such a big thing for them to survive, together, that everything that comes after is just "I mean, we survived that, anything else is child's play." I had a tremendous amount of fun mapping out that fight. :D

i've had a lot of people ask me in the comments of ao3 on how the After Hours section of the Ta!au is so different for the actual TA aspect. So I'm just gonna do a little run done on the whole premise.
so the Teacher Assistant job that Ash has is actually is second job, his main one is working of the International League as some sort of mercenary for them. kinda dark, I know. originally the INL, the legendries' in human form, offered the position to Ash as a way to keep him a little more protected during world ending events so he doesn't die as often. having the legal right to carry weapons on hand during public like a variety of knives and even a small gun every know and then. it also forces Ash into a mandated therapy sessions, which he's actually avoided so far regardless since he's joined, and giving him a net of safety if things go to shit.
Ash turns this down as he's just a fresh 16 year old and half way through his journey in Unova. after dealing with N and Ghetsis Ash heavily reconsiders as he ends up killing Ghetsis with his own two hands after snapping for the first time due to the stress of the entire thing. he's actually really fucked up in this Au so you've been warned, I just haven't actually written the more gruesome moments yet.
his sanity slips quite a bit during his break as with Ghetsis dead Team Rocket tries to step in during the moment of chaos. like trying to completely gain control over Unova in one go. this shakes up Ash's already very fragile mind and he goes completely feral and a killing spree. in the end he wipes out about over 150 Team Rocket members in his rage across Unova somehow in the span of 8 days. this is also the first instance of Ash's aura returning to him since Hoenn and without the need of gloves, like the rage in him had unlocked the blocker that trapped his natural ability.
it's almost like Ash turns into an enraged wild Pokémon and it's not until he stumbles across the Unova INL council members, either just one of them or a few, and they see what has happened. Ash willingly goes with them after they help him calm down and he's struck with the realization that he's never been so calm in his life.
he doesn't have the urge to fill the silence, his leg doesn't jitter with unused energy and Ash's mind is completely blank for the first time in history. there's no train of thought running in the background or anything else like that. just total silence. during this time that he's being treated at the main INL HQ in Unova Giovanni pulls out every team rocket member out of the region. loosing years of ground they've struggled to gain over the region just because Ash lost his shit.
Ash is walking the fine line between a god and a human at this moment for the first time and he struggles with this so once he's freed from the INL, they've over looked the killing spree since Ash and his friends saved Unova and their collective 14 to 18 years old, Ash heads to the Orange Isles and goes to consult Lugia about it. as what he felt during the entire time was the same feelings he experienced during the battle against the Shamouti battle without the fear that had gripped him at the age of 11. Lugia talks him through it and then informs Ash that since he's not just Lugia's chosen but Arceus's as well Ash will succumb into primal urges when pushed far enough. the Legendary makes it known that Ash can not hide or run from it and that it's easier in the end to let it flow through you.
he brings up the INL offer and Lugia, who is apart of the INL in his human form, tells him to take it. it's quite manipulative on the legendry's end since he knows deep down Ash will lose a lot of his humanity if he does but the entire world needs the buffer that Ash can offer between them and the other humans. not only does Ash understand them to an unspeakable point but he's also able to go toe to toe even at the age he was in Unova and when he was younger as well. Ash does join and he's quickly followed by Gary for the older boys own reasons that they chose not to speak about and they become a pair during Ash's first break in traveling.
Lugia was right, Ash looses a lot of his humanity and kindness for humans after seeing just what they could and will do to the Pokémon that inhabited this planet first but he also learns to navigate around it and act like a normal human in society. sleep never comes easy anymore, it's why he naps a lot now in Alola and drinks a shit ton of coffee, and he's seen some shit that no one should ever bare witness too.
Delia and Professor Oak see's a little sliver of it, like Ash flinching away when large Pokémon suddenly appear around him and how he's lost his patience for literally every in pallet town when he's home. they have good intentions but go about it wrong by trying to force Ash's hand in giving up in being a trainer. thinking that spending a long time in his home town will help-shocker it doesn't. so Ash ask's Gary and Rowan if he could crash with them at the professors house/lab. Rowan excepts and very quickly learns not just why Ash hates pallet town and the people there but the whole shebang.
**haven't quite figured out this part yet. deciding if I should have him walk in on Ash and Gary prepping to leave for a mission in another region under the guise of Ash making Gary take a break from sciencing it up or have Rowan be kind of a consultant for lesser INL members and the G-men since he's still ridiculously good with battle plans, infiltrations and other shit that hasn't left him since being discharged from the Marine Corps and he's asked be a handler of some sort for Ash and Gary. i'm leaning towards the second option but the first one is more funny thought-Rowan blinking in shock as Ash and Gary have Ash's weapons and gear sprawled out on one of their beds and talking in hush whispers without noticing Rowan is there.
either way, Ash moves his permanent address to Rowan's house and stay's there 90% of the time he's not on missions or during his travel through Kalos. it doesn't help that Rowan starts to slowly teach Ash how to be more deadly, kind of acting more like a Master Gunnery Sergeant which is why Ash refers to him as Gunny during the present time. coming to be like the father figure Ash never had for the majority of his life and actively agreeing that Oak is an ass.
this all ends up with Ash being able to shut off his emotions and become a stone cold killing machine like he's flipping a damn switch off and on in his head. he's extremely proficient in what he does that Gary and Ash are basically handed free reigns over INL missions, getting to pick which ones they wanted to do and pass down the ones that they don't. the council members of the INL are naturally inclined in treating Ash like a distant family member, due to the fact that he is Lugia and Tapu Koko's son in a fucked up way-which thanks Arceus. Gary and Ash are a package deal so the Oak is treated like one to.
** I find it funny that I subconsciously switched it around for the INL and Rowan. like Rowan got Gary and found out Ash is a part of him and how the INL have Ash and Gary followed after him. I'm literally just realizing this now as I type it out.
Alola is the reprieve Ash didn't know he needed. he literally just went because Oak needed someone to bring the egg to his cousin at the Pokémon School and Delia absolutely loathes traveling by herself now. he's awkward around the kids after nearly getting trampled by the racing Tauros and continues to be. the only reason why he accepted the TA position in the first place was because Delia tried turning it down for him while he was in the same room.
it was an very petty move on Ash's part but he's had almost complete control over his life after leaving for Hoenn and he's not giving it up, even for his own mother. he does make it very clear to both Kukui and Oak that, unless the kids physically come up and ask for help, he will not be interacting with the students. he is a Teachers Assistant and not a Student-Teacher Assistant. both agree to create a new contract that everyone likes later on the next day.
of course the kids wiggle their way into his life and, unbeknownst to them, their almost slowly reviving Ash's lost humanity bit by itty-bit.

can you please stop talking about someone who got harrassed off of their blog? like, what is this helping but sending them MORE harrassment. someone discussing something their Friend went through =/= mean you should be spreading more shit about them. (also i thought you and the person who brought it up were going to stop talking about each other…. why’d you bring this up 😭)
They've been gone for a long time, have no identifiable information that could link to other social media, and aren't coming back. I think they're safe. Anyone sending them hate is just screaming into the void. (I don't think their asks are even turned on.)
And... did they get harassed off their blog?
Yes, they got a lot of angry comments from both sides following their post. But they stayed.
They were fakeclaimed and called a singlet by anti-endos. But they stayed.
They were falsely reported and shadow-banned. (No idea which side was responsible for that.) But they celebrated being able to post again once it was lifted.
They didn't leave until after being called out for calling a traumagenic system an endo. They didn't leave until after they reacted to being called out for that by calling that traumagenic system ableist for reasons that I still can't fathom.
Given the timing, I think they left because they hurt people and were incapable of taking any sort of personal responsibility.
As for why I'm bringing this up, it's because I'm livid.
I watched this whole exchange play out at the time and it was disgusting.
And if this had just been an honest mistake and they didn't mean to call the system endogenic by starting their post by saying "do endos like this even hear what they post" and tagging it with "#shit endos say," they could have apologized for the harmful and horribly offensive phrasing.
For more context, here was the full post @the-prairie-collective responded to.
Tumblr media
That's it. A polite, well-reasoned disagreement.
Did any of this warrant personal attacks?
Did it warrant being labeled as endos?
Did it warrant calling this system ableist for their opinions on their own disorder?
It is absolutely disgusting to see @the-prairie-collective portrayed as victims who were attacked for "trying to be kind to CDD systems" after how they treated pro-endo DID and OSDD systems who politely disagreed with them.
I think it's important for everyone to be aware of exactly what actually went down.
Anti-endos are rushing to this as proof of how terrible the endogenic community is. They want to throw their support in for them for the same reason the alt-right loved Milo Yiannopoulos.
They want to rewrite history and portray them as a system who was hated for having "legitimate criticism" of the community. They want to make our community out to be "cult like" for not supporting them, as seen in a recent syscourse post...
Tumblr media
And if the anti-endo community wants @the-prairie-collective as their example, they can take it. But I want them to have to look at their martyr's "legitimate criticism" in all of their glory.
Tumblr media
I want them to know that THIS is who they're supporting. This was their last post, and what actually caused them to leave.
This is how The Prairie Collective treated DID and OSDD systems who politely criticized having their trauma invalidated by being called endos.
And I want every anti-endo to think long and hard about if this is the type of person they want to venerate.
