5 Best Managed WordPress Hosting Providers for 2024 (Compared)
If you want to shift your WordPress site to one of the top-managed WordPress hostings, here are the best-managed hosts for WordPress: Managed Hosting Service ProviderRecommended minimum
Before I go into great detail, let me explain how I came to try over ten web hosting companies to produce the most careful list of the best-managed WordPress hosting on the Internet.
I launched BloggingInsight on a shared hosting platform in 2024.
However, over time, BloggingInsight gained popularity and, as a result, increased traffic. I knew I needed to upgrade to stronger hosting to meet my blog’s rising needs.
Eventually, I switched to managed WordPress hosting. I went through a couple of managed hosts before finding Kinsta, which also hosts BloggingInsight.
Kinsta is one of the best-managed WordPress hosts, but I’ll provide a list of other options at the end of this essay.
You can still use a low-cost host if you’re new to WordPress. If your blog acquires popularity, you should consider managed WordPress hosting.
The best-managed WordPress hosting providers
So now that you know what I look for in a well-managed host, here is my list of the best WordPress-managed hosts for your high-traffic blog.
Kinsta
WP Engine
WPX Hosting
Page.LY
Pressidium
1. Kinsta
Tumblr media
Kinsta is what I use to host BloggingInsight, and it is recommended as the best-managed hosting by WordPress professionals.
They designed their hosting options expressly to help heavy-duty WordPress sites function quickly. They employ Google Cloud infrastructure, which is fully connected with Cloudflare and includes all of the best technologies such as Nginx, PHP8+, Redis, and Object cache. This ensures your website loads quickly.
Despite how popular BloggingInsight has grown, I can still achieve page load times in less than one second using Kinsta hosting.
They also provide excellent support. When I migrated BloggingInsight to Kinsta, I encountered some issues with outdated plugins that were not compatible with PHP 7, and guess what? Kinsta’s CEO stepped in to assist. That is their level of dedication.
Kinsta also provides other excellent features like:
Data centers are located on multiple continents, allowing you to choose the ideal location for your needs.
Backups are performed automatically every day and on request.
Security includes several firewalls, DDoS protection, and security assessments to keep your site safe.
Easy-to-use staging area
Free wildcard SSL certificates
Competitive pricing.
Excellent customer help is provided. 24/7/365
Tumblr media
Their cheapest package starts at $35 per month and increases from there. I’m on their Business 4 plan, which includes unique pricing as a benefit of being an early customer.
From my personal experience, I can say that Kinsta is the best WordPress host.

✧ SUMMARY ✧
the four devil's knights' leaders ─ just by hearing their moniker gives you the unpleasant shivers because you know fully well that they are bad news, but you have nothing to worry about as you don't intend to be involved with the likes of them, or so you thought.
your first mistake was attending the renowned Halloween party that happens every year, which is hosted by the corrupted fraternity of Devil's Knights, because from the moment you ignorantly stepped into the zone where danger persisted, your life was never going to be the same, not especially when you became their target as they hunted you down, giving you a night to remember that was either memorable or traumatising. you thought that it was over? wrong again.
despite the hidden agenda under their sleeves, the four devil's knights' leaders cannot deny the magnetic attraction towards you, eventually developing the mutual obsession over you, desiring you all to themselves.
there is a saying that light is drawn to darkness, and that describes your predicament perfectly. you know that they are bad for your pure heart, but your desire outweighs the warnings your angels are telling you. the more you are caught up in the tangled web of attraction, lust, and perhaps love, the more addicted you are as you find yourself craving their attention and affection, even the scraps of it. unfortunately, being involved with the darkness means your light will be diminished, eventually facing the inevitable heartbreak.

Echos of the Fallen
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: A ghost in plain sight Shadow the hedgehog x reader Warnings: cursing/slowburn
Tumblr media
Failure. Ghosts. Revenge.
If you had asked me to describe my life, those three words would sum it all up. Three words that captured the entire meaning of my existence. I wasn’t alone; I had a trusty team. Sure, I didn’t tell them everything, but I didn’t need to. They trusted me, and I trusted them enough. They were the closest thing I had to family, even if my real family had disappeared. My life took a turn for the worse once they were killed. I was put into foster care, bouncing from home to home… No mobian wanted a sad, broken girl who watched her parents get killed. The last thing my mother told me was to run. I was frozen as I watched a G.U.N. agent take her life.
When I aged out of the system, an old lady took me in and taught me to fight. She said she was too old to have kids, but she was fine with having me. I was quiet, did what I was told, and in return, she taught me how to defend myself. She would always say, “I will never leave a child in a world where they don’t know how to defend themselves.” Years with her taught me a lot. And when she died, I knew much more. She claimed that nobody should know who I really was if I wanted a fresh start. So that’s what I did. I went to a black site and bought a fake name and identity. As far as anyone knew, the old girl was dead—she died in a car crash. My "end" was my beginning. That’s when I found the closest people to my heart today… or what was left of it.
Scar: She's a high-level fighter, not better than me, who was kicked out of the agency for "playing too rough." I loved her from the start. Unless she trusted you, she played by no rules. I saved her from being homeless, so I guess that earned me her trust. Zero: A top-tier hacker who used his talents for the wrong reasons—greed. I don’t blame him; he was in a bad place, and he thought it was his last resort. Too bad the state doesn’t take fraud lightly. He did time, but got out on good behavior after helping the FBI. Once he was out of jail, I took him in. He started seeing me like a mother, and I made a promise to protect him. He was only 17. Viper: She was our supplier. I didn’t know much about her, but she had been jailed, and she knew everyone, though nobody knew her. She helped me out of a tough spot, and I’ve never had a reason to doubt her since. She was like that cool party girl who always knew what to do. Nova: She was our chemist. The weird part was she never went to school. I grew up with her in foster care, and when she expressed how much she loved chemistry, we clicked instantly. But she never went to school... She learned everything on the dark web. Part of me wishes she went to real school to make something of her life, but I knew she didn’t want to be normal. She hated normal. Her mother threw her into foster care because she was "weird." She didn’t like typical girl things, and her mother couldn’t stand it. Good thing we loved her for it.
September 28th, 5:00 PM
“Guys, come on, we’ve got 30 minutes,” I say, irritated. We have a mission to kidnap a G.U.N. agent for information—Carson Palo. A mid-tier lieutenant working for one of the higher-ups at G.U.N. The timing couldn’t be better—during the annual fall ball. G.U.N. hosts this event once a year, desperately trying to gain more money for their corrupt ways.
“Yo, Zero, we on the list?” I ask the finger-typing boy on his computer. He dramatically rolls his eyes.
“An art like this takes time, ladies,” he says with sass.
I roll my eyes. “You know what else doesn’t take long? Getting arrested,” I reply, matching his sass.
“Viper, how are we with G.U.N.?” I ask, turning to the cool-headed supplier.
“Looking good, Capt,” she says immediately.
At the Event
Scar and I make our way further into the event, both using fake names thanks to Zero. We spot our target, but not before I catch the eye of Shadow the Hedgehog. He stares at me, as though he’s never seen me before, and starts questioning the nearest person about my appearance.
I speak into my earpiece. “Girl, I think it’s time to wrap it up. A red-and-black hedgehog won’t stop staring at me. I think he’s getting suspicious,” I say, trying to get out of his line of sight.
Scar responds immediately. “Did you ever think maybe he finds you attractive? Or is growing old with multiple Chaos your thing?” she teases.
I roll my eyes. “First of all, Chaos are adorable, and second, I am not interested in anyone at the moment,” I say, scatter-brained, trying to move out of his view.
“Yeah, um... you trying to run from him isn’t working like you think it is. Just trust me, he’s hot on your tail, and looking hot, dare I say—”
I cut her off, “Get to the damn point.”
“Stop responding and listen. He’ll hear you. Keep walking until I say so.”
I follow her instructions, trying my best to avoid Shadow’s gaze. After a few seconds, Scar continues. “Okay, he’s seriously not giving up. I need you to distract him for, like... hmm... five minutes. Trying to seduce our target is hard, but I think I almost have it. The area you’re in is good. Turn around in three seconds.”
“Get me his name,” I whisper quietly.
I stop, take a deep breath, and turn around to be met with a handsome hedgehog staring back at me. Scar wasn’t lying.
Okay, five minutes. Four minutes, fifty-nine seconds…
“Hi, how may I help you?” I say to the grim hedgehog.
“Who are you? This venue is for G.U.N. agents only, and I haven’t seen you… ever,” he says, staring deeply at me, waiting for me to crack. Sadly for him, he wasn’t going to get that satisfaction.
“Well, I think the reason you haven’t seen me is because I’m new to the office,” I say smoothly.
“Wrong,” Zero’s voice cuts through the earpiece. “You don’t even work at G.U.N. Your persona is Danny’s wife.”
Shit.
“Hmph,” he mutters, looking at my name tag, which conveniently rests near my chest.
Fuck. I’m making Scar buy me an apple pie for this later... Two minutes remaining.
I slap him and raise my voice to draw attention. “YOU PERVERT STARING AT MY BREASTS! WAIT UNTIL I TELL MY HUSBAND ABOUT THIS!” I yell, playing the damsel in distress.
A few men rush to my aid and confront Shadow without even questioning who I am. Idiots... Men always want to be heroes without thinking.
One of the many reasons I prefer Batman over Superman. I wink at Shadow playfully as I make my escape out the back entrance. But a woman stops me.
“Ms., are you okay? Do you need to talk to someone?” she says, concerned.
I quickly form tears in my eyes. “N-no, I just need to be alone right now... T-thank you though. I just feel so violated.”
I rush out the door. It's been five minutes.
“Scar, I just put on a fucking performance. You better be done,” I say with venom.
“Yeah, I’m done. Calm your tits,” she says, letting out a snicker.
As I walk toward the van, I ask, “What’s so funny?”
Zero intercepts. “I don’t know what was worse—watching that ‘performance’ or watching an unscripted telenovela.”
He and Scar burst into laughter as I get into the van.
“Just erase me from the camera footage and shut up,” I say, taking out my earpiece.
“Is he out?” I ask Scar, curious.
“Like a light, thanks to this stuff Nova gave us.”
“Alright, time to do my favorite part. Interrogate.”
Back at G.U.N. (Shadow’s POV)
“Wow, Shadow, when I told you to flirt with a girl, I didn’t mean to violate them,” Sonic says, and Shadow shakes his head, brooding.
“I wasn’t looking at her breasts. I was reading her name tag because something was off about her. Yes, I admit, I initially followed her because I thought she was attractive, but I would never treat a woman like that,” he says, spitting with venom.
Sonic adds, “Ah, I believe you, buddy, but who was she? I’ve never seen her.”
Shadow rolls his eyes while sipping his drink.
“She said she was Danny’s wife.”
Sonic looks at him, confused. “What?”
“I didn’t further pursue after that,” Shadow says.
Sonic’s voice takes on suspicion. “Well, I don’t think Danny would care, considering he doesn’t have a wife.”
I nearly spit out my drink.
“WHAT!? Then who the hell was she, and how did she get past security?” I ask, confused.
“Well, wanna find out, buddy?” Sonic says with a grin. “An adventure with my buddy Shadow the Hedgehog sounds fun.” I scoff at the blue blurs enthusiasm.
All I cared about was one thing: Who the hell was that girl?

There are many web hosting companies to choose from if you're taking the plunge into making your own website with a comic content management system (CMS) like ComicControl or Grawlix, a Wordpress comic theme like Toocheke or ComicPress, or a HTML template to cut/paste code like Rarebit. While these solutions are generally free, finding a home for them is... generally not. It can be hard to choose what's best for your webcomic AND your budget!
We took a look at a few of the top hosting services used by webcomics creators using webcomic CMSes, and we put out a poll to ask your feedback about your hosts!
This post may be updated as time goes on as new services enter the hosting arena, or other important updates come to light.
Questions:
💻 I can get a free account with Wix/Squarespace/Carrd, could I just use those for my comic? - Web hosts like this may have gallery functions that could be adapted to display a series of pages, but they are very basic and not intended for webcomics.
📚 Wait, I host on Webtoon, Tapas, Comic Fury, or some other comic website, why are they not here? - Those are comic platforms! We'll get into those in a future post!
🕵️‍️Why does it say "shared hosting"? Who am I sharing with? - "Shared hosting" refers to sharing the server space with other customers. They will not have access to your files or anything, so it is perfectly fine to use for most comic CMSes. You may experience slowing if there is too much activity on a server, so if you're planning to host large files or more than 10 comics, you may want to upgrade to a more robust plan in the future.
Web Host List
Neocities
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: Free or $5/month. Free plan has more restrictions (1 GB space, no custom domain, and slower bandwidth, among other things)
Notes: Neocities does not have database support for paid or free accounts, and most comic CMS solutions require this (ComicCtrl, Grawlix, Wordpress). You will need to work with HTML/CSS files directly to make a website and post each page.
Hostinger
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the 1st year. Free SSL Certifications. Weekly backups.
KnownHost
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $8.95/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free DDOS protection. Free SSL Certifications.
InMotion Hosting
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $12.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, and 3 year plans available).
Notes:  Free SSL Certifications, free domain names for 1 and 3 year plans. 24/7 live customer service and 90-day money-back guarantee. Inmotion also advertises eco-friendly policies: We are the first-ever Green Data Center in Los Angeles. We cut cooling costs by nearly 70 percent and reduce our carbon output by more than 2,000 tons per year.
Reviews:
👍“I can't remember it ever going down.”
👍“InMotion has a pretty extensive library full of various guides on setting up and managing websites, servers, domains, etc. Customer service is also fairly quick on responding to inquiries.” 👎“I wish it was a bit faster with loading pages.”
Ionos Hosting
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $8/month or $6/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2 and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the first year, free SSL Certification, Daily backup and recovery is included. Site Scan and Repair is free for the first 30 days and then is $6/month.
Reviews:
👍“Very fast and simple” 👎“Customer service is mediocre and I can't upload large files”
Bluehost
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $15.99/month or $4.95/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain and SSL certificates (for first year only). 24/7 Customer Service. Built to handle higher traffic websites. Although they specialize in Wordpress websites and provide updates automatically, that's almost a bad thing for webcomic plugins because they will often break your site. Their cloud hosting services are currently in early access with not much additional information available.
Reviews:
👎"The fees keep going up. Like I could drop $100 to cover a whole year, but now I'm paying nearly $100 for just three months. It's really upsetting."
👎"I have previously used Bluehost’s Wordpress hosting service and have had negative experiences with the service, so please consider with a grain of salt. I can confirm at least that their 24/7 customer service was great, although needed FAR too often."
Dreamhost
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $7.99/month or $5.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certificates, 24/7 support with all plans, 97-day moneyback guarantee. Not recommended for ComicCtrl CMS
Reviews:
👍“They've automatically patched 2 security holes I created/allowed by mistake.” 👍“Prices are very reasonable” 👎 “back end kind of annoying to use” 👎 “wordpress has some issues” 👎 “it's not as customizable as some might want“
GoDaddy
Tumblr media
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free 24/7 Customer service with all plans, Free SSL Certificates for 1 year, free domain and site migration.
Reviews:
👍Reasonable intro prices for their Economy hosting, which has 25GB of storage 👍Migrated email hosting service from cPanel to Microsoft Office, which has greater support but may not be useful for most webcomic creators. 👎 Many site issues and then being upsold during customer service attempts. 👎 Server quality found lacking in reviews 👎 Marketing scandals in the past with a reputation for making ads in poor taste. Have been attempting to clean up that image in recent years. 👎 “GoDaddy is the McDonald's of web hosting. Maybe the Wal-Mart of hosting would be better. If your website was an object you would need a shelf to put it on. You go to Wal-Mart and buy a shelf. It's not great. It's not fancy. It can only hold that one thing. And if we're being honest - if the shelf broke and your website died it wouldn't be the end of the world. The issue comes when you don't realize GoDaddy is the Wal-Mart of hosting. You go and try to do things you could do with a quality shelf. Like, move it. Or add more things to it.” MyWorkAccountThisIs on Reddit*
Things to consider for any host:
💸 Introductory/promotional pricing - Many hosting companies offer free or inexpensive deals to get you in the door, and then raise the cost for these features after the first year or when you renew. The prices in this post are the base prices that you can expect to pay after the promotional prices end, but may get outdated, so you are encouraged to do your own research as well.
💻 Wordpress hosting - Many of the companies below will have a separate offering for Wordpress-optimized hosting that will keep you updated with the latest Wordpress releases. This is usually not necessary for webcomic creators, and can be the source of many site-breaking headaches when comic plugins have not caught up to the latest Wordpress releases.
Any basic hosting plan on this list will be fine with Wordpress, but expect to stop or revert Wordpress versions if you go with this as your CMS.
🤝 You don't have to go it alone - While free hosts may be more limited, paid hosting on a web server will generally allow you to create different subdomains, or attach additional purchased domains to any folders you make. If you have other comic-making friends you know and trust, you can share your server space and split the cost!
Want to share your experience?
Feel free to contribute your hosting pros, cons, and quirks on our survey! We will be updating our list periodically with your feedback!

It's been so odd seeing Ghostf*ckers currently sitting at 7.9m views two weeks later despite the boost of Hazbin's launch and the other episodes not doing anywhere near as bad; anything you feel might've factored into it?
I've mentioned it before, but I am happy to explain my perspective again. I obviously don't have the complete picture in front of me, so it's really only a grain of salt. More of a thought experiment than anything else.
For starters, the spike in views following Hazbin was a predictable boom and bust situation. There is a give and take with different styles of streaming, specifically around the trickle or binge models. More people will watch a series that is available to be binged vs one that is still in progress. Like some people who wait for the entire season to drop before picking up a new show. These sorts of drops see huge initial views, but people stop talking about the shows much faster.
The overlap of cultural impact as well as financial success makes Binging content appealing to the finance people, but the real money comes from maintaining cultural relevance. Which is why binge releases are generally criticized, especially by artistic people.
On the flip side, episode by episode releases, especially those like webcomics and web series need to maintain a sense of consistency to retain an audience. There must be deadlines that are achieved relatively consistently. It's even more important for content that is hosted on algorithm-heavy platforms like YouTube. It's why most content creators have an upload schedule to maintain their algorithms and promote their channel being recommended.
This is especially important on social media platforms because, generally speaking, only 10% of your audience are actually subscribed. While YouTubers don't get paid based on their subscriber count, it's used similarly to viewership. A channel like Mr. Beast has deals with mainstream studios like Amazon because of his subscriber count, in junction with the number of views he accrues.
The 10% active subscriber count is actually seen as a general positive so long as your views stay around that number, because it means others are being recommended your channel outside of your base. Once you get stuck in your "base" you're waiting for that thing ice to finally break. It means no one is discovering you and your legitimately risk losing everything. Most often from stale content, people becoming bored or disillusioned with what a creator is creating. And having no fresh eyes on your content, you will disappear in the algorithm eventually. For some people it means they can still survive just fine doing the same old things, for others (usually those who see the money before the art) it means the loss of everything.
The issue with inconsistent uploads is a major one that Medrano actually beat in the first season. The Vivziepop channel was so infrequently uploaded on, episodes being posted essentially the moment they were done, and yet Medrano maintained 35 M - 50 M views an episode (until Ozzie's which topped out at 28M before Hazbin Hotel, Medrano's first attempt at writing for the series).
So what I mean to say with that information is Medrano actually succeeded against the odds for the first season. She should have faded into obscurity, but the support for her show was legitimate and beat the odds of an inconsistent uploads schedule. I was never subscribed to her channel and didn't have Twitter until this year, but I would search Vivziepop every 3-5 months and usually saw a new episode had been uploaded in the last week to a few hours prior.
So while this is anecdotal, I'd argue that it was the general norm at the time. Reaching 35M when you only have 8.6M subscribers necessitates genuine effort of the part of the watchers to seek out the content themselves. And that's a good thing. You want people to be motivated to seek out your content on their own volition.
With that said, it explains all the possible, and probably, issues being had.
1) Upload Fatigue
Since viewership has fallen, Medrano has been posting more frequently to her channel. Mostly low-effort Vlog content that her main base is legitimately not invested in. People who love musicals and Broadway would recognize the low quality musical fodder Medrano creates. Animation fans, meanwhile, are not interested in celebrity actors being friends with Medrano.
That sort of content is what you see on Adin Ross' channel. If you don't know who that is, think Andrew Tate, but somehow more pathetic. The TL;DR is that his claim to fame was playing a video game with LeBron James' son. That's not what most people are really interested in, unless they carry the same fundamental psychology of the 'Man-osphere" or conservative grifters.
Additionally, these videos don't hit that 10% subscriber base. With 10.4 million subs, her lowest performing videos should still hit at least 1.4million views. Her major sale videos (Halloween and Valentine's mainly) still see this proper 10%
Tumblr media
But the Vlog videos...
Tumblr media
It isn't surprising that the video focusing on the fans being seen with Medrano and her friends would be the most watched, because of this mindset of piggy-backing self-worth off of someone else's name.
So for the fans that actually like the show, or at least want to support the series, are now being hit with a ton of videos they don't care about. Which can and usually does result in a loss of subscribers or your subscribers turning off their notifications for your channel.
2) The Show Left it's Base
Hazbin being aired on Amazon introduced many people to Vivziepop. There is a sense of quality that one expects from a big name like Amazon, regardless of how most of their shows they directly fund are not that great. But with the series leaving it's base, it offers new fans while threatening, and definitely delivering, a complimentary spike in criticism. Many people who would have accepted a subpar web series are going to be far more harsh of a show with a studio behind it.
With more voices discussing the issues of the series, it teaches people how to identify sub-par content and a lot of those people will lose interest in it once they realize the show isn't actually quality.
There are far more videos discussing the issues with Hazbin than there are of Helluva Boss for this reason, but once the luster is removed from one, inevitably it will impact the other.
3) The Story Sucks
This is obvious as we see more fans becoming less enthusiastic about the story. A badly written show can and will still be loved by those who love it. But it has become more obvious that the writing isn't subversive, just negligent. The characters aren't complicated, they are puppets. The creators aren't creative, they are regurgitating tropes without substance. The emotions are hollow.
But worse than any of that is that the show is contradictory to itself. Which makes the show feel unreliable, but that leads to the last point:
4) Medrano Exposed Herself as an Unlikeable Person
Medrano's description for Apology Tour exposed her to her YouTube base. YouTube is a place that craves authenticity, to the point they have manufactured it. There is a right and wrong way to be on YouTube, and the right way requires a ton of accountability, even when you probably don't owe anyone it. But accountability is something you must have on the platform, and Medrano was a bit too personal in how she made excuses for Stolas while not playing an even hand towards her main character.
That sort of attitude, fictional or not, will result in people turning their back on you. People have lost their whole channels over the same attitude. And the way Medrano handled it was responding to her twitter fandom criticizing the show, letting everyone know she doesn't see anything wrong with the behavior being expressed.
And that doesn't really sit well on YouTube. Not in the communities she's trying to cater to.
And like I said, this is all with a grain of salt as I can't say for certain. To be safe I believe a little of all of these play a role in Medrano's decline, but all of it is just my opinion.
With that said, to see such a steep decline of almost 50% of your audience, while knowing that many of those who are still fans are viewing each episode about 1-2 times a day for about a week, that means 2 in every 5-7 views are the same person. So 8M, while respectable for the platform, is a huge blow.

Leaving The Web [Part 5 - Finale] - Platonic Yandere Miguel O'Hara w/ Daughter Symbiote Spider Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: The situation has escalated to a critical point. You and Venom have grown tired of Miguel's meddling and are prepared to confront him decisively. A confrontation ensues between Venom and Miguel, but the question remains: can the symbiote control its murderous impulses, or will it result in the loss of the Spider-Society's leader?
The Leader of the Spider-Society was taken aback by the thunderous footsteps approaching him. Two massive arms, locked together, were raised high in the air with a menacing snarl. The arms came crashing down at an alarming speed, causing Miguel to swiftly dodge out of the way. The impact of the components caused the concrete roof to crack, but it did not break. Miguel was then faced with Venom, who let out a loud roar before pursuing him with his claws locked in position. Miguel managed to escape by jumping off the building and swinging away using his red webs. Venom followed closely behind, utilizing his black webs to keep up.
"Be careful, V, I have a feeling that Miguel is going to try to lead us o the Portal where he came from." [Name] said from the depths of Venom's mind.
"We know, we're counting on it. We have a plan in case he brings us there and we hope he leads us to where he comes from. Hopefully, there's an audience of Spider-People, watching their leader get beaten by the beings he abandoned." Venom told [Name] with a smile, causing his host to smile at the thought of beating Miguel in front of his people, showing them not to approach herself or Venom.
Miguel swung until he reached the top of another building - where a portal to Earth-928 was waiting - soon enough Venom arrived at the top of the building and glared at Miguel with a smile on his face; that smile scared Miguel but he wasn't going to show it.
"Venom, this is your last chance - come with me peacefully or I will take you and [Name] back home by force." Miguel threatened but Venom started laughing with his long tongue waving around like a whip before it slithered back into his mouth and he spoke.
"You really think you can scare us? We have been alone for the longest time, Miguel, and now we have a home here; the fact you can't understand how much damage you have done to us shows how pathetic of a Father you really are. This is your last chance - leave our universe and never come back...or we shall break you and throw you back in that portal." Venom warned as he pointed at Miguel who shook his head and started running at the large symbiote and jumped to kick Venom in his face, but he grabbed Miguel's leg and started smashing him into the ground over and over again before throwing him off of the roof and chased after him.
Miguel lifted his hand to shoot a web but the air in his lungs was knocked out when Venom's Feet plowed into his stomach, ending the 2 of them crashing into the ground, Venom stomped on Miguel before he jumped off him and landed in a crouch. Miguel groaned as he turned on his stomach and pushed himself off the ground before weakly standing and looking at Venom, who rose to his full height once again; Miguel wiped the blood leaking from his mouth as he looked at the large creature.
"Mija...please...don't let Venom control you..." Miguel tired but his pleads were met with a punch to his stomach and another to his face that sent him flying into a cafe window, causing the people who shriek in horror as Miguel crashed into the wall behind the counter. Miguel tried to move but a black web connected with his chest and yanked him out of the wall, out of the building, and back onto the street before he was punched upward; Miguel went flying until he landed on the surface of a flat roof, groaning in pain as rips in his suit tried to reform themselves but there was a malfunction in his suit that prevented them from closing - his mask faded once again and he coughed up blood once again as Venom jumped up to the top and grabbed Miguel from behind and lifted him off the ground, forcing him to face him.
"[Name]... Mija... Please, come back to me..." Miguel said in his weak voice as he lifted his hand to try and touch Venom's face but the face of Venom moved away from his touch and revealed [Name's] angered face. "Mija... Please...come home."
"How long is it going to take before it sinks in? We. Am. HOME! Venom and I belong here and I won't let you take us away from the home we have built with the people who care for us - people who love us; sure I love and miss the others but I love being here more with Venom. Now, your body can barely move, your suit is destroyed and I will send you back home but the next time you come here; your brain will end up in our stomach." [Name] said as the mask reformed on [Name's] Face to the Face of Venom as the massive symbiote jumped from building to build until they reached the top of the building where the portal was, Venom looked at Miguel's broken body before tossing him in the portal, causing the portal to close behind Miguel. Venom exhaled and returned control to [Name], causing his body to get smaller to Spider-Woman's Body.
"You okay, V?" [Name] asked.
"I should be asking you that. You went through a lot before You and Me became We but now that we are the way we are and we shared memories. [Name], I am grateful for what you said, thank you, my friend." Venom said.
"You're my best friend, V, thanks for dealing with Miguel. I really needed that." [Name] said as she walked over to the edge of the building and swung away, "So, what do you want to have for dinner tonight?"
"I'll let you pick," Venom said.
"Then I want baked chicken and salad." [Name] smirked.
"NO SALAD! I HATE THAT!" Venom said.
"We need to keep the body healthy; we'll have chocolate for dessert." [Name] said.
"Fine!" Venom groaned.
With a chuckle, [Name] and Venom swung off into the sunset of their world, their universe, without Miguel O'Hara.

host your gif packs on google sites
Since I received a question from an anon about how I upload my gifs to the google site, you can find the answer here. This is my first tutorial, and english is not my native language, but I hope it will be understandable and sorry if I wrote something wrong in english. I hope it's understandable and good luck, feel free to write if you have any questions and I'll try to help.
First of all, I always create the gif pack page on tumblr, it's easier to see the code there, it's easier for me to change things, because there is more space. And there I can see if everything is okay. However, it is important that there is a few code that works here, but not on the google site. When I find everything in perfect, I copy the code of the gif page and paste it to the google site page.
So I always open the google site page (You must log in with your gmail account to be able to use it.) : https://sites.google.com
When you open it, it will be a blank page, but there will be that colored plus sign at the bottom right. You can create a new page with it. I already have several, I tried to organize things there.
Tumblr media
4. If you click on the plus sign, it brings up this, I don't usually change anything here. In the right-hand bar, there is "pages" (marked in green in the picture), you have to select it.
Tumblr media
5. If you have selected the pages menu, you will see a plus sign again in the lower right corner. Click on it and select "full page embed". (I circled it in red in the second picture)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. If you selected this, it will ask you to name the page. Enter the name you want. I usually include the name of the actor/actress + the name of the series and the episode in various formats. (Since I create the page both here and on the tumblr page, sometimes I copy the name given on the tumblr page.) When you press done, you will see what is in the second picture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. If you move the mouse over the part marked in green, i.e. on the name of the created page, 3 small dots will appear on the far right. Click on it and select "hide from navigation". If this was the case, then the small sign will be crossed out in front of the page name in the right side bar and there will be no menu bar at the top of the displayed page. After that, all that's left is to paste the code of the gif page, i.e. the gifs. You have to click on the "Add Embed" , which is in the middle and can be clearly seen in the picture. And choose "Embed code" and copy the cod / gif link here. [second picture]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. I have marked on the picture where you can find after this, the edit button [in red], if you want to delete the page [in blue], or if you would like to preview it. [with purple color in the picture]
Tumblr media
9. If you find everything OK, then all that's left is to press the "publish" button in the upper right corner. The previous picture shows where you can find it. Then it will ask you to enter a name for your web adress. Name it whatever you want, think of it as the name of a main tumblr page where you can always create gif packs. This only needs to be entered once, unless you want several main pages, as I have several (as can be seen in the very first picture). Eg: I named the current one gifsbymel2024.
Tumblr media
10. I marked the paper clip / chain (?) icon in green on the picture, you have to click on it and then the link of the created page will pop up and you can share it with whoever you want.
Tumblr media
11. If you always want to upload a new gif pack to your page after that, all you have to do is open the Google site page, select your page from the already created "recent sites" section and then go to the "pages" tab on the right side and repeat the steps as before featured. Only the name of the "recent site" will be omitted if you add the gif packs to an existing one.

Homicidal Liu Headcanons
I’m gonna be so real with y’all, I hate that he’s called that. Early Creepypasta naming conventions were so dumb. Not even delving into the character aspect itself, it was all just [violent adjective] [character’s name] or [character’s name] the killer/butcher/slayer/balltwister/etc.
Also for the sake of my own sanity I’m going to clarify this right now, my Liu does NOT have DID. Sully does exist, but not in the way most people think. I don’t have anything wrong with DID Liu as long as it’s done correctly, I personally will not be going that route for my Liu.
Anyways here’s Liu headcanons have fun
Expect canon typical dark topics
Died when he was 22, is now somewhere in his late 20s
Not as buff as Jane is, but still has some heft to him. About 5”8 when he’s not slouched over a laptop
Plot twist, he’s NOT Jeff’s brother
No I’m being so serious they aren’t related biologically or through step-sibling stuff. They have zero familial connection
However. They were college roommates
Speaking of, Liu was a computer science major. He’s nowhere near the level of skill that Ben has (granted, Ben basically is a computer) but he’s still pretty damn good at it.
I mean, how else is he able to single handedly run a dark web redroom with an untraceable bank account that deals with heavy traffic on a daily basis? He knows what he’s doing and he does it well
He honestly feels kinda bad for not hanging out with Jeff more. They weren’t exactly friends in college, but Liu never hated the guy. Though sometimes he did find Jeff annoying
He just has a lot of complex feelings about Jeff now considering. Well, everything
Took way longer than Jane to get over his grudge with Jeff
He eventually relented after Jane got annoyed with his bitching talked some sense into him
And compared to Jane, he actually hangs around Jeff in his free time
When he has free time. Which is rare
The red room and hitman service him and Jane run take up almost all of his waking moments.
And when he’s not going out and ripping a guy’s spine out or monitoring the payments while Jane eviscerates a guy, he’s usually too drained to do anything besides hole himself up in his room
But in the very exceedingly rare moments that he’s feeling social and has the time, he’s found around Jeff
Jeff is deeply fascinated by the red room service and often asks Liu questions about it. Most of the time Liu would rather not talk about the work he just got done doing, so he forces Jeff to change the subject
Him and Jane definitely have chronic pain, Liu has chronic tired on top of it
Bro hasn’t had a full 8 hours in like a decade
Somebody get this man a fucking nap
Honestly even if someone did convince Liu to step away from his work. He still wouldn’t sleep. On account of the nightmares
And his sort of uninvited body guest
Compared to Jane’s possessions (thanks to the botched resurrection from the [REDACTED] cult touched on in Jane’s post), Liu’s are not only much more frequent, but much longer
I’m talking he’s got some wayward ghost in his body more often than not
While Jane is more susceptible to full possessions that take over her entire being, Liu mainly deals with having too many consciousness inside his body at any given time
The upside: he’s still able to be in control of his own actions and body most of the time. The downside? They won’t shut up
Screaming, crying, generally horrible things yelled at him from inside his own mind. Y’know, cause pretty much every ghost within a 50 yard radius is a murder victim. Probably even one of his victims
He never gets the same ghost more than twice
Except for one bitch
Yeah. That guy
Liu’s not even entirely sure that this guy was murdered on the property, certainly not in the timeframe he’s been here
It calls itself Sully
Sully, compared to every other ghost Liu has had the displeasure of hosting, keeps fucking coming back, and way overstaying its welcome
The other thing: Sully likes being along for the ride whenever Liu is working
Sully’s fully capable of taking over Liu’s body whenever it wants, and it does so pretty often whenever Liu has to go out and do the hitman shit
At first, Liu hated it. Mainly because he was worried Sully would get him caught or do something that jeopardized Liu and Jane’s safety
But the more Sully took over, the more Liu noticed that it seemed like Sully knew what it was doing. Like it’d done this before. Like it was just as if not a more skilled killer than he and Jane were.
Sully was also one of the first ghosts to show up when both he and Jane started experiencing the possessions
Liu is far more used to having Sully around now that whenever a different ghost is around, Liu misses it. Mainly because he’d rather hear Sully’s mocking and fuckery over the same shit murder victims scream at him
Sully’s personality leaves much to be desired. Compared to Liu’s more calm and calculated demeanor, Sully is brash, loud, and vulgar.
Sully often suggests depraved things Liu could be doing to victims, and when Liu has a set of specifications from a client he should be following, he has to remind Sully that they can’t do shit like that on the job
But when there’s no specifications or rules or anything of the sort? Sully decides to take over itself and do all the nasty and depraved things Liu doesn’t want to do
Whenever this happens, Liu zones the fuck out. He’s had his fair share of violence and can stomach just about anything, so that’s not the issue. Nah he zones out because it gives his brain a chance to rest
He zones back in immediately once Sully gives him back control over his body
Liu wouldn’t exactly describe his relationship with Sully as a friendship considering besides its name, Sully hasn’t told him jack shit about itself
But Liu find’s Sully’s presence morbidly comforting. Especially when he’s gotta sit there bored as hell as he works on the techy logistics part of the job
And ok yeah he admits it, sometimes the shit Sully says is funny
So much so that he’ll repeat some of the things Sully says in his mind to people like Jeff and Ben, who both find it absolutely hilarious
Unlike Jane, Liu doesn’t give a shit about his appearance. He never did to be honest. He was a computer science major, what’re you expecting?
Therefore he doesn’t cover up his many scars from the violent and brutal death he suffered at the hands of Jeff
At first, Jeff thought Liu was doing it on purpose, as some sort of passive aggressive thing or some shit. But nope, Liu is just that unbothered about how others perceive him
Wears the green striped scarf because this motherfucker runs COLD
Like he’s constantly wanting to crank up the heat. He asked Eyeless Jack about it once and they theorized it has something to do with Liu constantly being possessed by ghosts
With that logic, he’s also constantly wearing jackets, hoodies, coats, anything that’ll cover as much skin as possible. He’s so cold
Not necessarily corpse cold though. Though he is definitely undead like Jane and some of the others
He’s very uptight about his schedule and work
If something even hints at going wrong he’s on top of that shit asap
He’s gotta run a tight ship for the line of work he does. Even minor slip ups are the difference to being caught or living to kill another day
Is also too prideful to ask Ben for help. Ben probably would if Liu would just ask, but they’re not gonna go out of their way to help Liu out of the goodness of their heart
Is friends/close with: EJ, Ben, Masky, and Hoody
Is neutral/has a tolerable relationship with: Jeff, Nina, Ann, Sally, Kagekao, Clockwork, LJ, and Helen
Hates: Slenderman, Puppeteer, and Jason
Jane is something beyond close to him. Sure, the two did briefly date, but beyond that, the two practically have a found sibling bond. They’d both give their lives for the other
Liu wants nothing more than for the both of them to be able to find peace, which is why both he and Jane haven’t stopped searching for a way to get out from under Slenderman’s control.
Sully has alluded to being able to help, but Liu has yet to make any progress on getting it to give up any information it has
Him and Ben have bonded over being tech guys. Liu isn’t super into video games though, which bums Ben out, but they’re still able to talk about other tech related things
He likes EJ, Masky, and Hoody for more simple reasons: they don’t talk much and are generally pleasant to be around whenever Liu runs into them in common areas. But all of them are so busy they barely see each other. Despite that, they all respect the hell out of each other. It’s like a guy thing or something
Puppeteer and Jason clash with his personality too much for Liu to stomach being around them. He already deals with Sully, he doesn’t need carbon copies of it walking around in his life

World of Heroes R - Spider Squad
Who are the Spiders of New York? MENACES, that's who! Vigilantes with no official backing, who have taken it upon themselves to act as the 'protectors' of this city, but lack the real means to handle the crimes here. They focus on some maniacs with animal costumes tackier then even their own, and don't do anything to mitigate the damage left behind from their fights. I thought it was bad when there was just one of these freaks of nature here, but now there are three of them! Who knows when they'll strike next?! Whenever that is, you can bet the Daily Bugle will be the first to call them out on it!
MEMBERS
Spider-Man - the most infamous vigilante menace in this here fine city. Sure, his rabid fans will say he's "their favorite hero" who "never gives up" and "will always stand up for the right thing, even when its hard." And he sometime pays lip service to the idea of "Great Power coming with Great Responsibility." But if he wanted accountability, he'd register with the Avengers or Justice League or, hell, even the X-Men. But NO! He's a rogue, and that makes him just as dangerous as the 'villains' he fights!
Venom - For a month, Spider-Man tried out an edgier color palate maybe to avoid some real consequences for a shuttle incident, only to change back later. Then this guy showed up with the exact style, calling himself New York's new Lethal Protector! And wouldn't you know it, he's taking the Spider-Man motif and applying the Batman method of striking fear into the common man. Hell, some people claim he's actually a host to an alien symbiote, but I personally think that mouth is just... I dunno, makeup effects.
Web Ghost - The third webslinger to show up randomly in New York, and she's surprisingly even more active then Spider-Man herself. I don't know if she's just that dedicated to being a menace, or if she's trying to prove something. Hell, some people theorizes she's the reanimated corpse of the one person Spider-Man's confirmed to have killed "on accident," Gwen Stacy. I don't think this is true, but I can't help but wonder what it says to the world if it was. Like, the girl died at Spider-Man's hands and now she's swinging around the city like he does. Would he feel even a hint of regret? ...Ah, who am I kidding, she's just another girl with spider-powers, none of that death stuff.
NOT MEMBERS
J. Jonah Jameson - Former Top Reporter and Now Editor of the Daily Bugle, the best damn newspaper in the city of New York. People come to me for the truth, and I give it to them. You want my opinion on rich billionaires like Lex Luthor going into politics? They should have to give up literally every cent over 5 million as taxes, that way they actually contribute to society. You want my opinion on the Avengers? Reliable defenses against unwanted alien invasions, and so humble about it, too. Metahuman rights? That's something I support, and I hope Professor Xavier helps everyone. And Spider-Man... a goddamn menace playing hero in my city. This guy wants to help the greater good? Then show who you really are behind that stupid mask. Secret Identities are just a coward's way of avoiding accountability... unless we're talking the internet.
Mary Jane Watson - Some theater kid who works near the Bugle, I don't know. She's better behind the scenes then out front... look, what do you want me to tell you? I know nothing about her! Do you... look, just get out of here already.

Alrighty, here we go! It's been a while, but I finally got it done. It's gonna be similar to last time, except I'm not doing a read more this time. Yeah, changed my mind. There's a read more now.
Tumblr media
100. Shadow Warrior (1997) New Entry (Available on: Steam, GOG) Alright, disclaimer: this game is definitely a product of its time, spoofing bad kung fu movies, so it has some cringeworthy stereotyping, especially with Lo Wang, but Shadow Warrior brought some new ideas, such as secondary fire modes with weapons and controllable vehicles. I won't blame you for not playing this one, though.
Tumblr media
99. Sid Meier's Covert Action New Entry (Available on: Steam, GOG) A thrilling tale of espionage, you control Max Remington (who can be either male or female) in a mix of genres. While it did coin the “Covert Action rule” for Sid Meier (“It's better to make one good game than two great games.”) it's still a fun time.
Tumblr media
98. POSTAL 4: No Regerts Previous Rank: 91 (Available on: Steam, GOG) I know it's weird, but POSTAL 4 is a good game to me. It's not perfect, of course, it's a POSTAL game, there's gonna be some jank and some jokes that miss, but you have to remember: POSTAL knows it's a video game and acts appropriately. It's not for everyone, but I like it.
Tumblr media
97. Half-Life 2 Previous Rank: 96 (Available on: Steam) Okay, so I didn't get raked over the coals for ranking HL2 low in my previous Top 100. It's a little lower than last time, but that's because there's so much new stuff in the list, and I still don't like Ravenholm.
Tumblr media
96. You Don't Know Jack Volume 1 XL Previous Rank: 98 (Available on: Steam, Jackbox) While I love the original YDKJ for the host and the questions and the music, it's missing later additions like DisOrDats and other question types. It only has Gibberish Questions and Jack Attacks aside from the regular multiple-choice questions. It's still a good game.
Tumblr media
95. Leisure Suit Larry 1: In The Land of the Lounge Lizards Previous Rank: 85 (Available on: GOG) The first LSL is short, but an enjoyable time where you have to help Larry; Larry Laffer find true love. Like last time, I'm lumping all three versions in one position because they're all basically the same game, just with slight puzzle adjustments across all three.
Tumblr media
94. Serious Sam 2 Previous Rank: 89 (Available on: Steam) Serious Sam 2 is the wacky one, and it's still a good time. It's just as difficult, even though 2K tried to get Croteam to “kidify” it, for some reason. I'm glad Devolver took over publishing.
Tumblr media
93. Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods Previous Rank: 40 (Available on: Steam, GOG, EA) Ah, Peter Molyneux before he was the butt of every Guru Larry joke. Believe it or not, he actually made some fun games, Populous II being one of them. It's an intuitive god game where you have to defeat your opponent by being more, well, populous.
Tumblr media
92. Webfishing New Entry (Available on: Steam) Webfishing is a nice chill game where you fish with your friends on the web. Hence the name. I really like this one, it's a good time with friends.
Tumblr media
91. The Sims 3 Previous Rank: 92 (Available on: Steam, EA) The Sims 3 brings an open world to the life simulator, and it's just a great game. It's not as detailed as The Sims 2, but it still brings a smile to my face. And Create-A-Style needs to come back, Sims 4 is lame.
Next part tomorrow!
Link to part 2. Link to part 3. Link to part 4. Link to part 5. Link to part 6. Link to part 7. Link to part 8. Link to part 9. Link to part 10.

Book Blurb:
Seven years ago, I lost him for good. Now he's back, but is he still the Jay Gatsby I used to know…or is he something more? Something…darker.
Daisy Finnegan is looking forward to the endless golden freedom of summer. She doesn't want to think about life after college, or the newly awakened power of her voice, which has a way of making people do frightening things. But when her cousin goes missing at an exclusive house party, Daisy confronts the mysterious host…only to discover the wealthy recluse is Jay Gatsby, her childhood sweetheart—now sinfully hot and impossible to deny.
It isn't long before Daisy becomes entangled in a web of dizzying wealth and lies and obsession darker than she could have dreamed—culminating in a shocking act of violence that shatters the summer haze and threatens to drown them all.
But it isn't until Gatsby is shot through the heart—and survives—that Daisy discovers the truth of how Gatsby clawed his way up in the world by selling the secret of immortality to the highest bidder. Now with her friends' lives at stake, her own untested power still volatile, and an unimaginable threat closing in, Daisy will have to face an impossible choice: side with the man who claimed her body and soul…or with the monsters who would see him lost to her forever.
An addictive and truly original spicy New Adult retelling of The Great Gatsby with a magical twist.
Review:
A modern magical day retelling of the Great Gatsby except with Vampires and Daisy falls for the Villain (Jay)? SAY LESS I WANT IT. Daisy Finnegan is a college student who is looking forward to a summer of freedom and fun, especially after getting out of a terrible relationship with her ex boyfriend Tom, whom she found cheated on her. On top of that Daisy has just awakened a new ability, her voice can persuade people to do whatever she wants... and she has to keep that in check. When she is invited by her friend Jordan to a mysterious house party where her cousin goes missing at and comes back with mysterious marks on his body... Daisy is determined to find out what happened to him and who the host of the real party is. Only she discovers that the mysterious host, the extremely wealthy recluse... is none other than Jay Gatsby, her childhood sweetheart who disappeared and ghosted her.... and now he's back and determined to prove to her that he is going to be part of her life. Yet the closer Daisy gets to Jay the more secrets she is beginning to realize he has and that seven years apart has changed him in more ways than one. The closer she gets to Jay's world the more Tom's obsession with getting her back grows... and the darker both paths become as one of them is a monster and Daisy will have to figure out which villain she'll let into her heart and which one she'll destroy. This was a really fun take on the classic story and oh boy was it much spicier. I did enjoy the whole vampire twist of it all and I'll always be a Jay Gatsby girl so I love that he is a bit of a villain but he is also the love interest and they do get a happy ending. I am so excited for this series of villainous dark romance retellings of the characters and I can't wait to read the next on which just happens to be Dorian Gray!!! Absolutely pick up this book if you love a fun take on a classic!!
Release Date: July 16, 2024

Birds of Prey #6 wraps up the series' first arc. So did it stick the landing? How was Cass in it?! Here's my thoughts on it.
I only have two nitpicks on this issue. #1 I really liked the whole Megaera is EVERYWHERE and sad it didn't continue this issue until when Megaera was subdued. I thought that'd be a neat little bit if it continued, but oh well.
That was a fun little bit that took me back when I realized it when reading #5 and I am a little sad it wasn't back for this one.
#2 Megaera didn't do anything with Barda's megarod. Or at least nothing HINTED at... YET. I mean given the time and it wasn't ever answered there's a chance Megaera could've done something and could be a seed for a future arc (or maybe how they were controlling the Amazons).
I'm probably overthinking it, but maybe hopeful this could be a seed for something. I guess we'll see.
I really did enjoy this issue though. Like again, top to end had me satisfied reading all six issues. It'll be interesting to see how Sin's new status quo goes from here.
I'm kind of curious if the reason why she made the perfect host for Megaera was due to her past origin?
I mean last issue said she summoned Megaera but the conditions can't be just due to that. Not to mention her training probably might be HOW she's able to do what she's doing this issue.
Also, do we call Sin by Megaera as a codename? Or.. she gonna get a new codename?
The last bit of nonCass (sort of), well to quote that web series again: I sure hope someone picks up that phone BECAUSE I FUCKING CALLED IT!
That little slip of dialogue between Mirai Maps and Cass last issue sets up our next arc.
It's interesting to find out Mirai Maps (at the behest of Dinah in another timeline) kept trying for the scenario where "EVERYONE LIVES!" And… still, one character's life kept getting affected.
It's a truly interesting hook for the next arc.
That leads us into the Cass. I really did dig the stuff with her in this issue. It was minimal, but writer Kelly Thompson gives her a presence with each panel space given.
You just know she's there seeing if Zealot's theory at the opening part of the issue pays off, not to mention assist in threatening Megaera out of Sin.
We as the reader know Zealot's line of "killers" is false pertaining in regards to Cass. Why this is called a "bluff".
Tumblr media
Would she have stepped in if this would have really killed Sin? OH YES. Though I think Cass knew via the body language of Zealot and Sin/Megaera how this was gonna play out.
Just Cass fans knew this was how this was playing out. It didn't need to be spelled out completely.
But really the BIG thing for Cass is the end when we get TWO big things that do concern her. Really, this is something that Thompson outlays perfectly because for the first time in this series, we see Cass maskless.

Tumblr media
Because now the mission DOES concern her personally (sides Dinah). It's a nice nod to the history of Cass/Babs that's not spoken, but hey if you've read then yeah this feels like an, "IT'S ON." moment between Cass/Dinah.
Likewise, I do enjoy WHY Cass eavesdropped on Dinah. It probably was like a nervous daughter worried about what "mom" thought of the mission she was in.
Just that instead of leaving when Babs did, Cass was like, "Wait Meridian just popped up." And well.. the comic/Dinah said it best.
Tumblr media
2024 and we get an adoption nugget to boot besides her real concern for Babs. Both parents represented!
This comic is the gift that keeps on giving even the smallest moments layered. SQUUUEE! 😊
So yeah, I really dug this issue and it was a fitting end to this arc, all the while setting up the next. I'm really curious to see where this one goes. What Thompson will explore with Babs and WHO is targeting her in the future.
I know it won't be but if it's a Mecha Calculator (Calculator basically a cyborg due to Deathstroke Inc. shenanigans) because his HATE for Babs kept him alive.
… Okay it's probably not but that'd be fun for me.
Anyhoot this was another fun issue, and I can't wait to see where this goes. Also, WILL Thompson lay an anniversary bit for Cass in the coming months?
Then again should she? I mean this issue gave us two goodies here.
