why does no one talk about how being indecisive and an artist is the worst? like i’ve changed this one characters design four times and i’m sure i’ll change it again. i’m not talking just outfit(in my mind outfits/hair are different than base design) i’m talking whole new species and color palette.

This is the first OC I ever made, his name is Ethan and he’s a main character alongside another little duder in this comic idea I’ve had for like, 5 years now. Fun fact: that last picture is the first drawing I ever made in procreate when I got my Ipad :)

That same canvas became the much larger one that you see in the first two pictures. Over time I just continued to stretch it out and redraw the same person. It wasn’t till around the end of 2019 that I actually began to see this guy as a potential OC, rather than just some random person I used to test out different art styles. Now, he’s got a last name, trauma, and a love interest! They grow up so fast, don’t they?

In all seriousness though, he’s the greatest. And definitely not a self insert hahaha. What do you mean we both sorta look alike? No way. This dude obviously has purple eyes rather than the super dark brown (dare I say black color) I was given with. Sure we both have toasted-caramel-like skin and black sometimes curly and poofy but mostly just uncooperative and confusing hair, but that’s all, okay!
