A fun little detail ive noticed in epic the musical (though I could be wrong) is that for arc 1 .most of the songs focus on the line "just a man" which referse to Odysseus, but in arc 2 the songs change to use "monster" more often, the only other time "just a man" was used in arc 2 was when eurylochus reverse to himself as that in mutiny

I don't know if this is really accurate because I haven't really fact cheeked it. But I think it is, also I don't know if anyone else has done this I just want to say that this was a cool detail

Ya know, your post about becoming too cynical to engage with Superman kinda reminds me of how Mark Waid recently quit writing Superman because he has lost faith in the American people to do the right thing. Personally...I would point out it's only 3.4% different from what we had before. Whether that makes it better or worse...Up to you.

Hey, listen. Sometimes the last scraps of the rotten facade sliiiide right off the gristle and drop to the floor and reveal the miserable evil ghoul you were tricked into inviting to the table when the stitch-job was still holding up a little better and you didn't know what to look for yet. And sure, mayyyyybe the gore was already streaming down the flawlessly taxidermized exterior for most of the back half of the party, seeping down from the hairline and out from around the eyes, but you didn't want to say anything, right, because what if it gets better on its own? But when it finally comes all the way off and the illusion is shattered and it's trying to eat the guy seated next to it, and the host has to club its head in with a swanky candelabra- well, as an onlooker, you could be the miserable little know-it-all contrarian naysayer rolling your eyes and going, "dude, what took you so long, his eyeball fell out of his head into his soup during the second course." Or. Or. you can extend just a smidgen of grace, avoid letting perfect be the enemy of good, and complement his swing with the candelabra. Positive reinforcement is the name of the game here

One of my favourite things about Once Upon a Witchlight is that half the party are just not good people. I’m sorry but Kremy is just a fucking bitch. I love him tho. Gideon has anger issues and would kill a man for Kremy. Mostly I just love morally grey characters especially because as a party they keep ending up doing good as a whole.

It’s also easy to forget that the origins of their adventure were selfishly motivated because they were in debt.

Also out of all of them the most morally inclined is a depressed wet cat and morning “I have trained my mind in order for me to choose the most logical option in any situation” Frost.

I also do think they’re developing better morals and are unintentionally bettering themselves as people.

Mostly I just love that Frost and Gricko will be like we have to help these people and Kremy will be like do we thooo. And then they do.

Spoilers for episode 46 of once upon a witchlight

All of that episode killed me, either from dying laughing at the return of Brett, or dying with the others when they fell. Most of all it was the things they said or did when they died. Gideon telling the others to run, Kremy's "the jig is up fellas" when he *knows* he's going down, Torbek trying to defend his friends to the very end, Gricko's "just like old times" to Frost made me silently scream especially after him telling Hootsie to run and it still not being enough. And then Frost, the last one alive, living in his literal worst nightmare after already seeing it what, a week ago? Mikey pointing out that Hootsie could still be alive to me was Gricko hoping that his daughter made it and that she would be fine, but I cried the most when she fell to the Jabberwock for the second time. All of them played it amazingly, and their acting (especially Andy's) was breathtaking.

Another thing I want to say that especially made me cry was Torbek hitting himself trying to get the Other to come out. Like no Torbek you don't need him you did the best you could as you and that's amazing. Someone give that bugbear a hug and a cup of hot chocolate like he deserves

Thank you everyone who warned me about this episode however it was somehow still not enough and I am now distraught™. I was making the bracelets for Frost, Torbek, and Gricko while I watched that so I'll post those later, probably along with the coalecroux and grimmorbek ones. I'm very confused as to how there are more episodes but I've never played dnd and maybe they somehow survived? (delusional)
