Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.
I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!
(2023 summary here!)
#poorly drawn mdzs#art summary#Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year#then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. Let's keep taking steps together. No matter how small.#Love you all so very much. You've given me strength on the darkest days. Thank you thank you thank you.

Honda S2000 Type V, 2000. A Japanese market model that featured variable gear ratio steering (VGS), a steering system that continuously changes steering ratio based upon vehicle speed and steering angle. It was the first system of its kind to be incorporated into a series-production car. The lock-to-lock steering ratio was reduced to 1.4 turns (from 2.4 in the standard S2000). The system provided improved steering response on the open road as well as more comfortable manoeuvring in low-speed situations. The Type V was retired upon the introduction of the Type S in 2007

Hi, I wonder how are you creating your wip? Do you write it in google docs and then code it in Twine? I'm starting making my own and I'm looking for some technical tips
Hi! Thanks so much for the ask! It's always good to see new authors starting their own IFs. This might be a bit long so I'll put everything under a read more for those of you who aren't interested.
For me personally, I write in LibreOffice, which is a free alternative to Microsoft Office/Word. But, you can definitely use Google Docs or whatever other writing program you prefer!
As for coding, you can just code in Twine, but I like to code some as I write so I don't forget when to set certain variables. If you don't want to code anything in your draft, then I'd recommend at least leaving yourself reminders at places you'd like to add variables or when you want to have skill checks or anything else of the sort.
I should mention that a lot of people dislike coding in Twine, the code isn't set apart from the text visually and can be confusing for some, so if that's the case for you, I'd recommend checking out something like Notepad++ for coding and then copy and pasting everything into Twine once you're done.
If you do use Notepad++, and you're also using SugarCube, I'd highly recommend downloading and using this to add SugarCube as a custom language to the program so your code is easier to read. (You'll be able to select it as the coding language in Notepad++ after downloading and following the directions, though you may need to exit and restart the program before it shows up in the language list).
Some other great resources I use: The Twine Cookbook (of course), SugarCube Documentation or Harlowe (if you prefer), some templates (including the one I use!) [1] [2] [3], and w3schools tutorials for basics in CSS and JavaScript (assuming you don't know how to code in them already, if you do, that's great!)
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! I'm no coding expert but I have taken a few classes on Web Dev stuff in college so I know a thing or two.
Best of luck to you on your project anon!😊
#asks#lovely anon#not redo; rewind#hope this helps you with creating your IF anon!#i have some other resources as well that you might want (screenshots from sugarcube's documentation of certain useful things)#like the table with conditional operators so i can just check that real quick without having to try and find it again on the site#and a function to make the first letter of a string variable capitalized#the table for the text styles (bold and italics and all that)#how to code a typing effect (so the text appears on screen as though being typed by someone. you can change how fast or slow it is too!)#and so much more!!#just let me know if you'd like any of that and i can post it all for you!

Head cannon that Shockwave doesn't use the word "please" because it doesn't make mathematical sense
(Two inputs resulting in the same output is viable, but one input resulting in two different outputs is not)
"Please" as in I'm begging you and "please" as in I'm scoffing at you are the two options I'm thinking of here
#I'm talking variables here#I don't remember the exact mathematical procedure I'm thinking of for this#but I know I learned it#The analogy I remember was a soda dispenser#two different buttons on the soda dispenser can output the same type of soda#but if you hit a button on the soda machine and It gives you coke and then you hit it another time and it gives you Sprite#That's a no no#shockwave#Transformers

enjoying a character in a different way than most people seem to enjoy the character can make you feel so fucking crazy sometimes LOL like am i totally off base?? am i the one bringing a bratz doll to the barbie dream house? interesting experience fr
#robin.txt#like at the end of the day it’s not that big of a deal lmao like u can enjoy stuff however u want#but when you’re someone who’s like. perhaps a little too obsessed with Truths it can make you question all of reality for a min#like am i truly just deluded or is it actually just fanon consensus type shit occurring#but studying psychology and whatnot is personally my literal hobby so. i can’t be THAT bad lmfao#and blorbos often exist in states of Having Many Possibilities. which is what makes it fun ofc#just sometimes a little ????? when ur perhaps attuned to one of the slightly more… offbeat(?) variables LMFAO

I don't see how our bank can say both of these things on the same page with a straight face:
vs.
I'm obviously never using their dumb overdraft, but the vast chasm between those interest rates seems difficult to overlook. These statements are ~4in apart. They're not even trying.
#up to £75!#just for you! don't spend it all in one place etc.#we can only speculate about how much they're making off the overdraft interest#but it's safe to say it's a lot more than a shiny £75#also we can rest assured that the 'variable' interest rate on the overdraft only goes up never down#love how the 5% isn't even really 5% -- and neither is the 1%!#like 1% is so pitiful the least they could do is not scrape a little more off for themselves#and this from an ostensibly decent credit-union type bank I might add#it's disgusting out there#where's my 38% (37.89% gross a year) savings account you selfish bastards

"Who the fuck is celebrating Yom Kippur by going to Las Vegas?"
^^words that literally actually just left my mouth
#yom kippur#las vegas#the context is that im learning about multiple variable linesr regression#specifically in the context of business analysis#so were doing this example with the caesars palace in vegas#and they had a lost of ones for holidays that might impact number of check ins on any given day#and they had the expected new years day and super bowl sunday type days#and christianity's greatest hits (christmas and easter)#and also a bunch of jewish holidays of which yom kippur was one#to which i said the above#because isnt yom kippur all about repenting for your sins?#how are you supposed to do that in a place thats literally called sin city?#anyway got immediate vindication when i saw the resulting regression table and saw its p-val was > 0.05#which means it is not a good explanatory variable btw for all you non-math-people#<- no judgement there. math is hard. and generally poorly taught which makes it even harder.
