I've never watched Death Note, but I guess Ill just say L is my favorite since we share a name (technically) Honestly? my answer is simple w/ what animal Id be Almost ANY cat (not the flatfaced or folded ear ones though they can have some bad health issues :( ) Like if you're a domestic cat, you have the stuff to survive both in the wild, or in someone's house. You have super scenes of smell, night vision, claws, sharp teeth, AND probably enough smarts to not get eaten by dogs or smth. On the other hand with humans, at least 70% of the population would adore you, and maybe even take you in to pamper you. It would be very easy to get them to do your bidding since you'd be just some animal, and perhaps put above your caretaker's needs. Pets? Affection? Just act all adorable and stuff and they'll give it to you, cling on to them and they'll say they're your human now. On the other hand (or paw) there's the wild cats!! Still very cute. Still very cool. Now your defenses are upped by a ton, and people still find you cute. Though with how shitty environmental conditions are, and with the bigger cats slowly going to extinction :( , I may or may not just stick to domestic cats But hypothetically.. It would be neat to be either a snow leopard, tiger, or a jaguar. I love snow leopards for their big fluffy tails, and it would be cool to be able to roam through snow and stuff, but that seems to get a little boring from time to time. Love tigers for their stripes, I don't think they can roar..?? But that doesn't change anything. Think Tigers and Jaguars are both pretty efficient in survival, but I'd pick Jaguar just for their athletics and HUGE bite force (least from my 1st search). Or maybe, maybe not because there's an outfit/skin or two of Valeria's that are based on jaguars.. (or leopards, but ill go w/ jaguars) im obsessed w/ this woman man hdwhadwjadawnk OH ALSO ON THE TOPIC OF BIRDS??? Like yeah sure I may not like you or the opposite, but at least we can co-exist without biting our heads off (unlike the fucking us) and japan seems open to their culture being explored by others, so I'd totally love to (respectfully) participate in some traditions here and there OR I could visit Europe. Like not even a specific country? Just Europe. Cuz the US is like really fucking big, and a country like France is apparently as big as Texas. And it would be cool to take a week trip just exploring cultures and stuff (well everything except food, I'm a terrible picky eater ugh) Vacation in the US scares me tho, I'm fine where I'm at rn Maybe id be a little open to going to canada.. but bc of how they're treating the Palestine genoside rn maybe like later in life if they redeem themselves, but like the us? This was more of an issue when he was younger, and he does learn to tell people the signs and regulate better.

3. Are there perks that outweigh the condition, or is it too difficult to enjoy?

For Feds, the perks don’t outweigh the condition at all - although, you MIGHT have been able to convince him they did during HoT before he fully understood its nature.

-The fact he doesn’t really hear Mordy is the main one for him. After losing Dralsin to it and seeing Larry struggle so much, you can see how he might be convinced it's not so bad.

-In a similar vein, the fact mordrem ignore him. This is more obvious in [RP] AU, where he doesn’t have to deal with the egg and such - so he’s mostly undetected the entire time, and abuses this power to cause UTTER CHAOS and gather so, so much intel on one man reconnaissance missions. This idiot can walk straight into a mordrem camp. The pact both love this and are terrified by it.

Hello there, Jay - been a bit I think. Honesty, not sure exactly HOW long it's been but I know it's certainly been a while.

I both have a lot to say and nothing at the same time. I had notes but I kind of lost them while moving, and then also just kind of.. lost them in my brain. ☆I started this fic at like, 2 am, just on complete impulse. Everything here just summoned itself from my 2 am brainrot.

☆I didn't really chat this chapter out with any friends, so nothing too silly.

Ch. 2, Meeting New People?:

☆I was planning on making reader more of a Simp, but I talked to my friends and we decided against it, since it would be difficult for reader to get along with characters more genuinely.

☆At the end of the chapter, "If I go to sleep here, will I wake back up in the real world?...", I was thinking of just posting chapter 3 where it said: You wake up, story over. The end.

Ch. 3, We are the Army.:

☆Army was an octoling since the beginning! You can see that in the banner. The background is made up of octopi instead of squids, and you can see a bit of a tentacle.

Ch. 4, If memory serves wrong...:

☆Bro I suck at writing flirty stuff. End me now, Aloha's difficult for me to write

☆The "nothin' personal, kid", was a total reference, and I plan on adding many more. I'm going to try my best to add some iconic vines that still suit the scene.

but alas, i cant do that again, because first i like walking, second im waiting for 4 important things (my id, one of the two things i need for 'free' healthcare, the bad i ordered, and finally my doctor's eyes' appointment that i finally have, omg, ill be able to finally have some glasses that fit my eyes, oh do i want them now)

Supergirl 6x16: Nightmare in National City.

Hey, double dose of Supergirl today! So this episode seemed to bother some people over on Twitter and here on Tumblr. Well...honestly? Before I even get into it I’m gonna say I really liked it. I know it’s the last season and there are things we wanna see, I get it. But this episode? This episode wasn’t bad, not like the Lex’s trial episode or even some of the Phantom Zone stuff. That’s just my opinion and obviously feel free to disagree, but I was satisfied with this episode. That being said, here are my thoughts and as always, SPOILERS AHEAD.

Brainy and Nia definitely had some loving last night. The way his shirt is half button up? Very sexy of you, Brainy. Love that he made her some pancakes, they looked good. Nia has a dream about someone she needs to see and then proceeds to eat the pancakes without butter or syrup. Girl, you need some therapy if you think eating dry plain pancakes is okay.

Alex delivers these ADORABLE drawings that Esme did for her and the Superfriends. A+. Kara’s face just lights up when she sees it, as does Lena’s and J’onn’s. Such a happy moment in a soon to be emotional episode.

I am disappointed that Kelly was not in this episode, but I am also okay with it because Nia and Kara both have some stuff to work through this episode. Plus based on the promo, we’re getting a Dansen proposal anyhow, so it’s okay.

Okay, Kara giving this really passionate speech about doing this interview was segued nicely into Andrea’s office. Of course, Andrea needs to be double convinced this is a good idea. Listen, I like Andrea but she’s starting to wear a little thin on me. She’s undermining both Kara and William and not being super nice about it. Hmm, anyway.

Nyxly summons a Nightmare monster and honestly? It looks pretty good all things considered. I really liked the shot of it going into town and J’onn and Kara fighting it off. It looked good.

Well shit, I knew it was coming but the minute Maeve opens the door and Nia’s whole posture just DROPS. This is not going to be easy for her at all. I do love that Maeve tried to give some apology and Nia was like “Nope, not here for that” and forced the conversation back to the Totem. Maeve can’t help herself to get some digs in though. Ugh.

Understandably, the government is upset over Supergirl’s choice to put up a dome over half the city. Too bad Kara doesn’t have any other super friends who could be helping her out with this all (Barry, Kate, Clark, Sara, where you guys at?).

Kara is also struggling to get ready for her interview, most likely because she’s got the whole city on her plate at this point. She didn’t need to tips from William, but you could tell in this scene that Kara was just starting to feel overwhelmed by everything that was going on. The anxiety was plain on her face. Then Andrea adds to the pile, so not good for Kara at all.

Nia and Maeve are in the Dream World together and Maeve is just being so awful, ugh. She literally takes shots at Nia this whole episode and I’m about to-

ANYWAY, together they figure out the tree is hiding the secret doorway that leads them to a path of spires. It honestly looked pretty good ngl.

The Governor is on the Superfriend’s ass about their rash decision. William does make a snide remark about it to Kara as well, which only adds to her guilt and stress. Melissa is doing a bloody fantastic job showing how stressed Kara is with just her face and body movements. All the news shots was good too.

You can tell Kara is at her pushing point when she cancels on the Kaznian guy because she has to go and be Supergirl. Andrea is very upset by this and chews Kara out, which is kinda fair ngl.

The scene where Nia brings Maeve up to look for the entrance to the Dream Totem’s hiding place was a really beautiful shot.

Okay. This was building up for so long and I think it paid off. Maeve trying to grab the Totem for herself because she still believes it’s her birth right. Nia goes OFF. I got goosebumps when Nia screams “I DON’T PITY YOU!” and then continues to explain how she doesn’t care that Maeve feels that way because Nia never asked for any of this. This whole scene was just so well done and you could feel the rawness coming off of Nicole. If you get through it without wet eyes, please watch it again.

Alex tells Kara that she doesn’t need to stress and that she can handle this on her own. Yup, not going to go well. Kara is fretting the entire time, because she’s worried about everything.

Kara then leaves before the Kaznian president and Corto Maltese prime minister show up because they’re late. She arrives to help them take care of the Nightmare monster because the National Guard starts to ruin the carefully built plan.

The devastation on Kara’s face when she realizes that she messed up is heartbreaking.

Nia and Maeve leave the Dream World, and Maeve gives this huge apology that Nia listens to with a passive expression. Once she is done spewing, Nia shoots back “I don’t forgive” and lists out all the ways Maeve hurt her by behaving as she did. Nia, being one of the most caring people on the show, does offer her a last chance to make things right. The two sister hug it out and while Nia may not be 100% with it, it is a step forward. I want to say how important it is to not have Nia instantly forgive her. Too often we see in media with queer characters that they just have to accept the trauma inflicted on them and forgive their abuser. Say what you want about the SG writers, but this moment was incredibly well done.

Also when Nia steps into the apartment with weepy eyes and just holds on to Brainy, because she needs to hold on to something. Gah, so good.

Kara, mourning the loss of her interview, is hanging out on the balcony when William comes out with some scotch lol. Guess drinking at work is okay. Now it does lead to a very nice conversation of William saying to Kara that everyone does have bad days and she just needs to slow down as ask herself what SHE is looking for.

Kara then goes into Andrea’s office, her shoulders rolled inwards, her body exhausted. Her face is worn and weepy as she tells Andrea she is quitting. You can tell this is not an easy choice for her to make. This job is what Kara worked her whole life for, but she just can’t do it right now. I know this is the moment that upset people the most, but guys...it is okay to leave a job that’s draining your mental health. Kara does not like working for Andrea, she never has. This is something that was made clear back in season 5. She literally says to William “it feels like I’m drowning.” It’s absolutely heartbreaking for her to have to leave, but Kara had to choose between saving National City as Supergirl or helping it as Kara. She had to make this choice. It really hurts but I think it was so well done.

Supergirl issues an apology but it’s because they’re trying their best. Hopefully people can understand what a thankless job this is.

Anyway, episode ends with Lex coming back. Fingers crossed they don’t mess it up with him again. Hopefully. But also, DANSEN PROPOSAL. YEEEEEAAAAHHH.

So like I said before, I did like this episode. Sure, there are some frustrating things, like them losing another Totem. But the emotional arcs of Kara and Nia? I think it was worth it. I’ll see you all soon enough!

You were glad that you were sat next to Yunho on the plane since you needed good vibes that your boyfriend couldn’t really give you. Too sucked up in his own life, which make him the worst person to sit next to Yeosang.

Thankfully, Dominic was terrified of the boy so he was silently scrolling through his phone. That left Mingi to annoy poor Seonghwa the whole trip.

“Oh, you bitch,” Yunho mumbled, picking up four cards from the deck beside him. To pass the time, you and the tall boy decided to play a game of Uno. 

Chuckling, you threw down a yellow 2. effectively ending the round. “You know, for someone of your profession, you’re really shit at cards.”

“Maybe because I’m playing against your devious ass.”

“You love my devious ass, don’t lie.” Scoffing, he gathered the cards and began to shuffle them before you ripped them from his hands. “Oh hell no. I know for a fact you’re gonna rig it.”

“I tried last time, and you still won,” he huffed, running a hand through his sandy blonde hair before using the other to take the deck again.

Yunho wasn’t really your friend to begin with. More so Mingi’s, but that had not stopped the two of you becoming just as close. Seonghwa and Yeosang too; you had meet them through the sweet-hearted boy, and all three had quickly become an addition to your short list of loved ones.

In fact, out of the six of you, Dominic was the odd one out.

He didn’t know the secrets you shared, the things you did without his knowledge. Nothing that would directly harm your relationship, no.

To add to that, the five of you were like a family, looking out for each other, and the boys weren’t very font of the guy you had chosen to date.

Then again, compared to the last one, Dominic was much better.

Every year, the boys and you had decided to treat this time as a holiday away  from the all the work you do, to treat yourselves for living another year. So you all splurged out and did something big.

How you chose the destination was fairly simple; one of you would throw a dart at a map of the world--blindfolded, obviously--and wherever it landed, you all went there.

It’s what led to the fun cruise in the Pacific the previous trip, and this part of Korea for this current one.

Though, Jeju was one of the places on your bucket list. You were more than excited to go and sight-see. Already, you do plenty of that for your job but never really get the chance to stop and pay attention.

You were going to Jeju for leisure purposes.

San was going to Jeju for you.

Yes, he was originally going there for work, to deal with a bit of business that had gone awry. But then he saw you, quickly crossing the road, from his vehicle.

Decided to follow you, see where you were going and with whom.

At first, he was a little pissed to know that you were travelling with five men, you being the only woman. Most likely scenario, one of them was your boyfriend.

But that information had no longer mattered, because you were going to Jeju. On the same flight as him.

San didn’t like to admit in believing in fate, but if that wasn’t it, he didn’t know what would be.

Hongjoong--who was stood beside him in the middle of the airport by now--was concerned over his strange behaviour. Even the slightest shift that seemed out of the ordinary, he immediately became suspicious.

That’s why San knew it was stupid to try and lie to him.

When he pointed out to you, telling him to look, it only took the older boy a few seconds for him clock on. “You’re shitting me...”

“I’m not, Joong. She’s here. She’s really here.”

“San,” the now-blue-haired boy began, trying not to draw any unnecessary attention, “look at me. You can’t. It was five years ago, and not to mention, you’re already with--”

Shoving his hands off his shoulders, the mafia boss glared at his second-in-command. “You don’t even like Dae anyway!”

No, Hongjoong hated that crazy woman to his very core. She was bad for his friend, but the boy was too caught up in filling the hole you somehow managed to carve to even care.

Had it been any other, the short man would have let San do his thing, but his current girlfriend was one of the heirs to a rather big mafia herself. Being with her involved politics, and being with her for nearly five years brought more trouble than you were worth.

But Hongjoong knew that San wouldn’t listen to him. Not when he’s like this.

The only thing he could do now was damage control.

The two males--San mainly--had stalked the six of you, deducing who meant what to you. Didn’t like how cosy you were with either of them, but specifically disliked the guy who had his hand wrapped around your waist.

Then there was the other guy, one of the really tall ones, with black hair--streaks of green and grey running through it--and a loud voice. Party animal, the two thought. He was particularly close to you too, sending playful hits that were definitely reciprocated. Hopefully, he was just a friend...

The other tall guy--the blonde one, with puppy-like eyes--seemed more reserved yet somehow still as energetic.

Next tallest was s black-haired fella. Clean and lean--smart-looking, with soft (but somehow sharp) eyes.

Finally, the last guy. The one who rarely spoke, with a silvery grey mullet that surprisingly complimented his pale skin. There was something about him that Hongjoong couldn’t pin down. Something familiar...

The most obvious odd thing was how you and your supposed ‘boyfriend’ were of a different ethnicity to the other four. Confirmed when the two men overheard you speaking in a completely different language neither of them were used to.

“Fuckin’ language barrier,” San grunted as he realised there was yet another obstacle in his way.

“Fuckin’ good-lookin’ people,” Hongjoong laughed, scanning the six of you.

Being in business class was usually a comfortable experience, but right now was the most excruciating thing possible for both of them. San constantly bombarded the elder with questions and worries about you.

Couldn’t even send Hongjoong back there since his newly-dyed electric blue hair would have captured too much attention. “What’s the point of you if I can’t even get you to spy on people,” the younger huffed. “Dye your hair back to black when we get to the villa.”

“Oh, shut up,” Hongjoong spat with gritted teeth, already beyond annoyed with the man’s behaviour. “That’s not even my job. And you come at me with having unusual hair, but you look like Frankenstein’s Bride with that lock of white with the rest being black.”

Groaning, San looked at the entrance of the business area, hoping for some other miracle to occur and you would peer out. Desperation filled him, wanting to see you again. Etch your newer features into his mind once more.

“Who do you think those other guys were? Her boyfriend’s friends? Her friends? Colleagues?”

“Probably her friends, since they all seemed pretty close to her.”

“Ugh.” San buried his face in his hands, still not liking the sound of that.

“It’s the 21st century, dude. Girls can be friends with guys--and that girl is friends with those guys. Get used to it.”

“Don’t wanna,” San mumbled, puffing out his cheeks as Hongjoong narrowed his eyes at his tantrum.

“Listen, dude, you can’t confine and control her. Doing that’s only gonna push her away--if you’re actually serious in pursuing her.”

“Of course I’m serious!”

“Then you need to plan this out carefully. And you need to think of it fast, since I doubt they’ll be in Jeju for long."

The younger male scoffed, running his tongue against the inside of his cheek as his confidence grew and cogs in his brain began moving. “Don’t worry, I’ll definitely come up with something.”

Sighing, Hongjoong looked out of the window, into the peaceful, empty ocean they flew above. What exactly had he done?

AHW Episode 9 for the season! Well this episode was actually pretty funny and Cooper once again had a front and center arc(which we only love) 

Taylor was pretty funny too and her facial expressions always give laughs!

Katie’s crew was better this week, but still need time to grow with them, Katie was hilarious though and that comment about “I want this!” Sis wants a show with a celebrity lmao.

But now to the meat of it all!

Beginning with our Not-Boyfriends, Cooper is trying to make his Oli and asshole partner, Trevor, as comfortable as possible. Then he even wants to help on the app but Trevor has to come out and say he’s useless..... I’ll just-

Like my bestie said while she was watching with me, “I’ll kill him and rip him limb from limb” LOL, I love to hear it, and I would have maybe not go that far. But I would punch Trevor in the face. BUT ANYWAYS-

Cooper with the “Defend my honor!” to Oliver, like dude even if he wasn’t your boyfriend, stick up for him cause that’s bullying. And I guess Oliver tried, but he could have done better, 6.5/10 for effort on his part, Cooper would have went on the offensive if someone made fun of Oliver though.... just saying.

Sad Cooper when eating ice cream is the saddest sight to see.... let our boy be happy without these negative Nancies all over the place lmao. But the way Cooper always looks to Oliver for reassurance lol. “That’s your opening” like he needs to tell Oliver when to comfort him. Anna-Kat and Franklin coming in to help though which is nice.

Artist scene: Cooper can still draw better than my whole family(Except my older sister who draws masterpieces but I’m not bragging about her right now) Franklin still being the most talented of the bunch, whatever bro.

Comedy scene: Cooper’s 2nd joke was funny ngl, like a good chuckle. Not much to say here so let’s go to....

Cooking scene: So first of all, before we find it out, Oliver points out that Cooper has a kind soul and huge character to him. Saying how he was the new kid and Cooper could have just ignored him or what my friend pointed out yesterday had said. “Cooper could have just bullied Oliver or made fun of him for all he cared, he was the richest in town and no one could have gotten in his way.” So even at Cooper’s weakest point in terms of “kindness” he still was taking a liking to Oliver when he first arrived, he didn’t have to at all. Cooper never wanted to be a wealthy asshole or just some legacy kid for his parents, he wanted to learn life and what it had to offer, which is why he adores the Ottos so much. And Oliver consistently wanting to hang out with him because they genuinely enjoy each other’s company and do everything together. So yes wbk, Cooper needed the right guidance by Katie to seek his peak of understanding how the middle-class works. And he seems to even enjoy it.

Well besides that, Cooper is a fantastic cook! That food looked GOOD, like wow I want Cooper’s secrets or for him to cook me stuff lmao. Also Franklin’s a great poet as well but wbk still.

Overall I’d say 8/10, Didn’t care for the other’s storylines(people I’m trying to enjoy them besides Cooliver, but they just aren’t hitting it-)

Cooper even more development and Oliver in a supporting role, we love to see it! Just if only Oliver can defend him better against that fiend of a partner(I hate Trevor ugh)

Episode 12 - The Little Mermaid

Let’s Talk About JSHK Anime #3

Warning: Manga spoilers for The Little Mermaid arc, The Clock Keeper arc, and chapter 64!!! (just a bit, skip point no. 5, 6, and 10 if you don’t want to get spoiled) Also … this ended up way longer than I intended.

Well that was one heck of a feels trip. It’s probably my new favorite episode, just because everyone is here being wholesome lmao.

This is mostly hananene meta I ain’t even gonna lie.

Before we begin, shout out to Black Canyon, our newest anime cutie pie. Just look at him, folks. Just chilling with his sunflower seed.

He has no idea the kind of life his owner leads.

I said before that the best part of episode 12 is how it made Daydream worse, so now I’m gonna ramble about it.

“Maybe different species can’t understand each other after all.”

“Maybe it would be better if I were an apparition too.”

This is my favorite part of the episode. And no, not in the sense that I want Nene to die just so that she and Hanako can be together. But because of how Lerche actually explored deeper what was said only once in the manga.

Well, both in the manga and anime Nene ended up accepting the mermaid’s blood because of her desire to be popular, but the anime decided to revisit what she said earlier in the episode.

Not only did that make her decision kinda less selfish, it’s also just … sad. Thinking that your friend, someone you really cared about, doesn’t trust you enough to tell you things about themselves, to the point where you’re willing to go to such lengths as turning into an apparition just to understand them.

And if you think about it, isn’t this part of her true wish? To have her feelings be reciprocated? Man I just realized that as I wrote this and I am mindblown.

She thought she finally got her wish with Hanako. I mean, he said it himself in the first ep (”You wanted someone, anyone, to return your feelings, right? And as far as you’re concerned, sharing a bond with someone is the same thing, right?”). So it must’ve hit her really hard when she thought he didn’t trust her. Especially with all the wrong ideas the fishes were feeding her mind.

Then we got this little flashback. At first I was like, “Girl, you really be thinking that he doesn’t care about you while recalling the moment he apologized to you and hugged you? Are you insane?”

But after some thinking of my own, it occurred to me. Maybe she was too used to having her feelings not reciprocated, she couldn’t believe it when someone finally did. Not to mention Hanako did kinda trick her with his fake confession a while back (heh, he’s not the only one with trust issues, eh?). And that just made the entire thing even sadder.

So when Nene said, “But I thought, if I were an apparition like you, I could get closer to you. Then, maybe I’d be able to understand you, Hanako-kun. Although I know I probably don’t mean anything to you.”

That was a harsh wake up call for Hanako.

(Btw even more full circle, Hanako brought up Nene’s wish to become human again in the first episode. Nice.)

So. We got one daikon girl who’s afraid of not having her feelings reciprocated, and one ghost boy who’s afraid that daikon girl wouldn’t be his friend anymore if she knew about his past.

While in actuality, said daikon girl already decided she wanted to and would be his friend no matter what, and ghost boy had grown to care about her more than he thought he would.

He heard what she said to Tsuchigomori. He knew all about regret, too.  I mean, honestly, I think if she had said no, he’d let her walk away right then and there, no questions asked. But she didn’t.

Nene’s wish finally came true here. And the best part? It wasn’t the work of magic or curses. Just Hanako finally shoving his fear aside, offering himself as he was, and letting her decide.

And she still chose to be with him.

Heh. Lemme just. Sob for a bit.

Is my hananene trash brain reading too much into this? Idk. Maybe.

So props to the production team for managing to add even more weight to this arc. Which, they had to, since it’s the season finale and all. But I love what they did!

Onto my commentaries!

1. The KouNene

Good shit. She was worried about him but he didn’t want her to worry so he just smiled it off? These two are precious. Thought they were gonna interact. Sadly not. Buuuut! (see point 12)

2. Hanako’s classroom visit

He. Is. So. Adorable. Someone please take his babey license away he’s too dangerous.

Hanako’s classroom visit is like my absolute favorite clingy Hanako moment, so I’m really happy I get to see it this season. Ugh. My kokoro. Hugging her from behind, that semi confession vibe … Smooth mf.

The Mokke brushing Nene’s hair!!! The radish hairdo tho lmao.

On a sidenote, as a history nerd I appreciate that they’re actually putting lessons in the background. And the teacher talked about Apollo 11 again??? While my boy was in the room? That ish both hurt and pleased me.

3. The Clock Keeper rumor drop

Heeeeeehhhhh? What’s thiiiiiissss?

4. This freaking thing

*flips table* Darn production team been knew I’m hananene trash how dare they do this to me.

And lookie here there’s Kodama chilling.

5. Fishies! (!!!manga spoiler for The Little Mermaid arc!!!)

Pufferfish didn’t die. Well, good for him. Also I can’t believe they just call the other fish ‘yeah yeah’ lmao what the freak. Has it always been like that in the manga?

6. AOI AND AKANE (!!!spoilers for chapter 64!!!)

I swear I did not intend this numbering coincidence.

*claps* Boi. Nene asking Aoi about cutting ties with someone she’s interested in? And then Akane just swooped in and say he’d rather cut his head off than cut ties with Aoi? What about getting impaled, huh, boy? Would that do?

The not-so-subtle call out to these two pairs’ parallel? BOI.

7. Nene and Yako

These two just chilling together having girl talk, and Yako let Nene pet her? That’s some adorable shit right there. Admit it Yako you like her.

Yako also be really hitting home with what she said. It was extra heavy coming from her, considering what happened to her and Misaki. Boiiiiii.

8. Tsuchigomori

Oh my God, his laughter. Just … oh my God.

Tsuchigomori in dad mode is always one of the highlights of the episode/chapter.

By the way, in this scene according to the sub, Nene asked Tsuchigomori who Tsukasa is. But she knew who he is already. Is it possible that the sub misinterpreted it? ‘Cause I think what she actually meant was, “What happened to him and Tsukasa-kun in the past?”

If someone who speaks Japanese could share their wisdom, please do!

9. The 5 pm bell and twilight

Look how pretty they are!!!

Lo and behold, another important hananene interaction while the 5 pm bell plays in the background. Also, twilight? Y’all giving me Kimi no Na wa flashbacks.

“Twilight, when it’s neither day or night. When the world blurs and one might encounter something not human.”

Huh … kinda fits the ‘boundary’ concept but it still hurt.

Anyway they still had Hanako tell her what she already knew. And I did say in my ‘Walking Blind’ post that it’d be redundant. But since the episode kinda emphasized Nene’s desire to understand Hanako, having him actually tell her himself, even though she already knew it, was a big deal. It’s not about what she knows, it’s about him opening up to her. So I’m super cool with it.

10. The Broadcasting Club (!!!spoilers for The Clock Keeper arc!!!)

I love how Natsuhiko and Sakura are actually decent people. When he told Mitsuba that he was free to choose to stay with them or not? That’s solid, man. Though, of course, Tsukasa might not be as kind.

Speaking of, I know it couldn’t be anything else, but I’m still not sure if Tsukasa’s drawing was confirmation for season 2. Don’t wanna get my hopes up. Imma just enjoy what I currently have.

Kinda curious, though. Because Clock Keeper wasn’t Tsukasa’s doing. Maybe he was the one who released Mirai? But tbh I’d prefer if it wasn’t so. Because having more cases of supernaturals going loco without it being one of Tsukasa’s games is interesting, and kinda underlines the need of The Seven Wonders to keep supernaturals in check.

12. The Adventures of Minamoto and the Summer Vegetables

You go, Kou! I’m rooting for you oh my God you’re so precious.

And look at that ikemen smile! Him supporting Kou is just top notch sweet y’all I can’t-

Ngl this was the biggest surprise of the episode. Teru finding out that summer vegetables = Nene? Broooooo. Interesting. I don’t think this little addition warrants any changes to their future interaction, so it should be safe. Clever replacement, too, those veggies.

It’s so sweet that Nene delivered those veggies to Kou! Just imagine the Minamoto family having veggies for dinner. Awww.

(Also, Nene wrote her name in hiragana instead of kanji. Is that a reference to how bad Kou is with kanji? Lol, so sweet)

13. The Coda!!!

Look at him. Just look at him. Look how lovesick he is y’all I can’t-

THEY’RE SO ADORABLE.

All in all, I love this episode. Sorry for how long this post is. I’m just dealing with so many feels right now. Gaaahhhhh.
