not negating anybody's experience i know black sails is outstanding regardless of how or when or how quickly you watch it. but also, as a gay person who watched it in real time, you really had to be there. they introduce anne bonny and you know your pirate history so you KNOW she's a girlliker. she has a moment with max but youre not sure where it's gonna go. because it's 2014. you wait over a year for 2x01 and she and max fucking obliterate you with the sword drop kiss scene. all anybody is talking about in the tags is vaneeleanor. a few weeks later 2.05 drops and flint is not only textually gay and kissing a man but he is waging war on england, on all of civilization for taking away his male lover. you find this out after investing fourteen hours on this show that have spanned over a year and a half in your real life. not to mention the miranda stuff and silver's arc and mr scott and madi and the death march that seasons 3 and 4 feel like when you have no inkling of how it's gonna end. but you stick with it regardless because it's good and besides it's 2014-2017 and the only genre show with gay people in it is fucking... the 100? lol anyway. more gay people flock to black sails between seasons and the tag becomes more about the gay shit than vaneeleanor, thank fucking god, finally. you all dread the last season. you brace yourselves for the worst. you thank the stars this show airs weekly because watching even just two episodes together is too overwhelming. 4.08 airs. you cry. 4.09 airs. you cry. 4.10 airs. your life will never be the same. you cry so hard you catch a fever and have to stay in bed all week to recuperate. you know this was a once in a lifetime experience never to be repeated again but you can't help but hold every other show to this impossible standard.

Minecraft feels like it doesn’t know what to do for big updates any more so they’re doing like small miscellaneous updates collected together. I wish they’d move on from trying to give them a theme bc I feel like that’s just confusing.

One thing I wish they’d do is do updates from time to time and go back and add pieces to old update. Like maybe add more fish or tree types.

Specifically what made me have this thought is that I’d love if they’d add more to the geodes. Like the amethysts are lovely but I’d love if there was a whole range of crystals to find in geodes!! I feel like that’s along the line of the archaeological stuff they’ve done recently! Digging into the earth for history and stuff!

Also if they ever do a forest update I’d freak out. I’d love if they revamped their nature bc I feel like that part of the over world specifically has been the same since the beginning era of minecraft. Like ocean, nether, caves, villages, NOW FOREST. And end.

Feels like natural progression of their universe growing! And I like feeling like the updates can have a “story” like aspect to me. Especially bc worldbuilding. Favorite idea when it comes to minecraft lore

very random question and don’t feel obligated to reply but your style reminds me of dark souls/pathologic/those types of games in general. that might just be due to the historical context but i’m curious, are you a fan of games like that?

If I had to guess it could be just the vaguely historical setting, religious overtones and occasional darker themes? My knowledge on Dark Souls et al. is sparse at best, people have been telling me to give them a try but I haven't gotten around to it.

There was no way Bones would have been able to animate the split between Tomura and AFO in one body the way Hori did with the wing, we're talking manga vs anime here, but I still like how they did this part as well as the way the fusion's voice went from Tomura's and then shifted to AFO's mid sentence

-Haunted Castle vs. Haunted Manor

Haunted Castle: medieval castle theme. Scares include vampires, werewolves, and torture dungeons

Haunted Manor: "run-down abandoned mansion" theme. Scares include ghosts, creepy Victorian people, and a vague sense of unease about a domestic setting turned sinister.

-Monster/beast-infested terrain: This includes swamps, icy mountains, dark forests,, underground tunnels, and other inhospitable settings where the main danger is from the local fauna. Scares include fictional monsters (yetis, Swamp Thing, mole-men) and real/exaggerated animals (spiders, alligators, sharks)

-Human sacrifice cult: includes both "small town with a sinister secret" cults and "eldritch horror" cults. Anything that involves human sacrifice to appease/worship a dark force

-Fairy Tales but Scary: children's stories and nursery rhymes twisted/interpreted in a gruesome way. The bears kill Goldilocks; Miss Muffet gets eaten by spiders; Rapunzel hangs herself by her hair. Something innocent has now been tainted by horror and violence.

-Local cryptid/legend/curse: Themed around a specific cryptid or folk tale. Chupacabras, Moth Man, Sleepy Hollow, Wendigos--the entire ride is focused on this one specific thing. "Mummy's curse" themes probably fit here.

-Licensed horror film: basically a recreation of an existing horror film, featuring scenes and dialogue from that film. If you pick this one, put in the tags which film you'd choose.

Milgram is about murder so the music videos depict that pretty frequently, sometimes more explicitly and sometimes symbolically depending on how many theorists they want to make angry. Also it's co-created by DECO*27 so themes of suicide/self harm and toxic relationships also tend to pop up 👍

so basically haruka's a very messed up person so desperate for any kind of love he can get no matter how the other party treats him But is also incredibly unhinged, possibly dangerous and muu is a manipulative brat whose instinct is to berate and use those around her because she's scared of being hurt. they are best friends and awful for eachother.

As we neared the end of the bookmaking process, the final touch – the leather aging – was underway. The result was kept hidden from us until this moment. After aging, we gazed at the cover in awe, speechless.

Ultrakill is one of the few games that manages to have tonal whiplash (pun intended) but still do it surprisingly well. Like you go from a silly fish minigame with a windows movie maker potato quality congratulation screen, and then you go to a terminal on your way out that's like "Oh yeah, god is overwhelmed with guilt for creating hell, and upon casting Lucifer down for asking if hell was necessary, he proceeded to weep and cry after realizing what he had done."

And somehow the weight of it still hits you.

The fact that this is retelling a story that has been told for more than two thousand years and still keeps getting retold, people from different millennia and all centuries have listened to and read this story

Everything about this is the peak perfection of art, storytelling and the phenomenon when humans join forces brought together by a vision and passion and pouring their heart and souls into a project to create something that will be forever unique

I am so grateful to live during a time where this exists.
