I remember reading comments on Reddit by people who hated the Netflix show 1899, and they were whining about how they watched it with dubs and that it confused them, because they didn't know certain characters weren't supposed to understand each other.

The stupidity of people never fails to show up.

1899 is meant to be watched with subtitles. Yet a bunch of morons put the dubbed version on, even though a huge aspect of the show is the language barrier between the characters.

1899 definitely would've worked better as a novel instead of a show. Because some stupid viewers out there couldn't be bothered to watch with subtitles like they should have done.

Getting mad at 1899 because you decided to watch it with dubs instead of subtitles is like getting mad that you can't see your television screen because you put a blanket over it. Your confusion and anger is your own fault.

What was the weirdest thing that happened to you while asexual?

My experience: There was that religious boy that never believed I was asexual, he kept trying to convince me that I wasn't asexual, that I was just "confused" (as if he knew me better than myself) and he strongly believed that I was saying I was asexual because "I had a crush on him" and he kept saying "Oh, but I don't want a relationship right now, maybe one day", Then I have up trying to explain him what was actually happening.

Months later he suddenly came to me saying he was in love with me and that he wanted to make out and date me. I got so dang confused how he could change from "Omg you're making me uncomfortable and confused with this asexual thing" to "Omg I am in love with you and I want to kiss you so bad please date me"

Needless to say he got pretty mad when I told him I didn't wanted to do such things, he was like "But you're asexual because you like me, right?? I am shy too, we can take things slow"

Then... I blocked him. Pal, stop trying to invalidate me. Why tf I'd only have a sexuality because "I have a crush on you"... He even wonders why I don't talk with him anymore as if his insults weren't enough reason (probably because I'm just "confused" apparently)

Me: Gaelic is the anglicised form of both, in Scotland is Gàidhlig :-)

Then: I don’t need a NON IRISH person falsely ‘correcting’ me on my own language thanks.

Me: uhhh I (a SCOTTISH person) was actually correcting you on saying MY language is called Gaelic when it’s Gàidhlig, Gaelic is the umberella term for the languages of the Gaels THANKS :-)
