Villain bit their lip anxiously as they watched the hero storm off angrily mid-fight.

“Wait!” Villain called out in a desperate attempt to get the hero’s attention. They knew it likely wouldn’t work though. The hero had finally snapped. After years upon years of working their tail off for a thankless job, they were over it.

“Villain, I’m done.” Hero bit out as they hastily snapped around to face the villain, their teeth gritting against each other in frustration. Villain flinched, causing them to stumble backwards by a step. 

“You can’t just be done, there are people who need saving!” Villain cried out as they gestured vaguely around them. There was nobody there though. Just the concept of people, a desperate villain, and a bitter hero. 

“Fine. You save them.” Hero growled as they turned their back on the villain once more. “I’m so tired, do you realize how exhausting this job is?” Hero sighed as they halted. 

“And I’m not exhausted? I have to make elaborate plans and then get my ass beat.” Villain huffed as they folded their arms across their chest.

“Well then maybe this is for the best. You won’t be getting your ass beat anymore, and I won't be stuck in this endless loop of doing the ass beating.”
