Mini React.js Tips #1 | Resources ✨
I thought why not share my React.js (JavaScript library) notes I made when I was studying! I will start from the very beginning with the basics and random notes I made along the way~!
Up first is what you'll need to know to start any basic simple React (+ Vite) project~! 💻
What you'll need:
node.js installed >> click
coding editor - I love Visual Studio Code >> click
basic knowledge of how to use the Terminal
What does the default React project look like?
Step-by-Step Guide
[ 1 ] Create a New Folder: The new folder on your computer e.g. in Desktop, Documents, wherever that will serve as the home for your entire React project.
[ 2 ] Open in your coding editor (will be using VSCode here): Launch Visual Studio Code and navigate to the newly created folder. I normally 'right-click > show more options > Open with Code' on the folder in the File Explorer (Windows).
[ 3 ] Access the Terminal: Open the integrated terminal in your coding editor. On VSCode, it's at the very top, and click 'New Terminal' and it should pop up at the bottom of the editor.
[ 4 ] Create the actual React project: Type the following command to initialize a new React project using Vite, a powerful build tool:
npm create vite@latest
[ 5 ] Name Your Project: Provide a name for your project when prompted.
[ 6 ] Select 'React' as the Framework: Navigate through the options using the arrow keys on your keyboard and choose 'React'.
[ 7 ] Choose JavaScript Variant: Opt for the 'JavaScript' variant when prompted. This is the programming language you'll be using for your React application.
[ 8 ] Navigate to Project Folder: Move into the newly created project folder using the following command:
cd [your project name]
[ 9 ] Install Dependencies: Execute the command below to install the necessary dependencies for your React project (it might take a while):
npm install
[ 10 ] Run the Development Server: Start your development server with the command (the 'Local' link):
npm run dev
[ 11 ] Preview Your Project: Open the link provided in your terminal in your web browser. You're now ready to witness your React project in action!
Congratulations! You've successfully created your first React default project! You can look around the project structure like the folders and files already created for you!

An associate college professor who was appointed to the Minnesota State Department of Education by Gov. Tim Walz called for the U.S. to be "overthrown" and "deconstructed" in a video posted over two years ago. Walz is now the vice presidential nominee for the Democratic Party.
Brian Lozenski, Ph.D., is an associate professor of urban and multicultural education in the Education Studies Department at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, according to his personal blog.
He is also affiliated with several organizations, such as the Education for Liberation Network, or EdLib MN, Network for the Development of Children of African Descent, and the Twin Cities Solidarity Committee.
Lozenski was appointed to the state’s department of education by Walz to help write the framework of ethnic studies standards, as well.

In a video first reported on by the National Review and posted to YouTube on June 19, 2022, by The Solidarity Network, Lozenski spoke about his research with a panel. He even touched on Critical Race Theory, a school of thought that generally focuses on how power structures and institutions affect racial minorities. The video was removed from YouTube late Wednesday evening.
"We don’t use critical race theory in school," Lozenski said. "The first tenet of critical race theory is that the United States, as constructed, is irreversibly racist. So, if the nation state, as constructed, is irreversibly racist, then it must be done with. It must be overthrown.
"We can be like, ‘Oh no, critical race theory is just about telling our stories and diversity,’" he added. "It’s not about that. It’s about overgrowth. It is insurgent."

Lozenski also told the panel they need to be more honest with that idea because many people do not understand critical race theory.
"It’s an anti-state theory that says the United States needs to be deconstructed, period," Lozenski said.
Fox News Digital has reached out to both Walz and Lozenski for comment on the statements the department of education appointee made.
According to a Wall Street Journal article last month, the Walz administration in Minnesota has relied on committed political activists like Lozenski to design and guide the implementation of the state’s education agenda.
One of the groups Lozenski is part of, EdLib MN, is focused on becoming a political force in Minnesota and to "contend with the status quo of colonial education that prioritizes Eurocentric curricula," according to its website.

Hi again!
I don't really do astral projection in general. I can, but it's not my strong suit. It's certainly not something I would do on someone else's behalf. Projecting to a "real version" of a fictional universe is impossible. You could perhaps build a version of a fictional universe within your astral realm, or visit someone else's construction of a fictional universe, but it wouldn't be The Real Thing.
You're extremely unlikely to become an "actual" magical girl. Witchcraft can't make something that's physically, materially impossible come to pass. It can have incredible results, of course (why else would we practice it, right?), but those magical transformations and sparkles aren't real. It isn't possible, unfortunately -- it'd be so fucking cool if it was. I'd be all over that.
Working in a pop culture magic context is a valid way to do magic, though! If you have a passion for magical girls, I really would strongly recommend doing a search here on Tumblr for magical girl pop culture witchcraft, magic, and paganism. It's an incredibly interesting way to do magic! (You might find instructions for altering your Astral Self to be more like your ideal of a magical girl -- which would be the closest you'd get to the Real Deal. Just be wary of "shifting" type blogs.)
As for making spells that actually work, my advice would be to find a system that works for you. In the kindest way possible, I cannot do your research and learning for you. Magic and witchcraft are learned skills that you've got to develop for yourself. My paradigm (the framework through which I view the metaphysical world and perform magic workings) won't necessarily work for you.
First step is to figure out your best source for magic. For some folks, magic comes from within themselves. For others, it's a gift from their deities or spirits. For others, it comes from nature. For still others, it comes from the astral plane. The key is to figure out what's best and easiest for you to "hold on" to make the changes you're wanting to make. Give it a good, solid think. Try some stuff, see what works best.
For me personally, I find the best results in directly manipulating the metaphysical, energetic ties that exist between all things. These "strings" tie Thing One to Thing Two. After years of practice, I'm able to reliably tug on these strings to create change.
Try things out. Borrow spells from blogs and websites and books. Dabble. Test different ingredients. If a jar spell didn't work, what if you burned the ingredients instead? Or what if you dressed a candle? Or made a meal with the same/similar ingredients? So on and so forth. I have a post I wrote awhile ago about making substitutions and changes in spells that illustrates the point more thoroughly (which you can read here, if you like).
As I said, I can't do your learning for you. There are witchcraft 101 posts, books, podcasts, and other sources all over the place. Browse the beginner witchcraft tag, for example -- you'll find all sorts of basic guides from all sorts of viewpoints. Check out the astral projection tag or search for beginner astral projection tips.
If you like podcasts, @/breelandwalker's podcast Hex Positive is really solid for beginners. On YouTube, the Witch of Wonderlust, HearthWitch, the Green Witch, and the Norse Witch are also pretty solid creators whose work I've enjoyed. Books... I cannot recommend, since I honestly don't read a lot of witchcraft books (alas!).
It's up to you to find the things that are going to work for you. I'm happy to give tips, answer questions, and offer my perspective, but it isn't a substitute for doing the actual work for yourself. I do wish you luck!

I'm developing an ARPG!
To those unfamiliar with the concept ARPGs (Art Role Playing Game) are groups in which you draw/write about your characters for that group doing various things to take part in and complete various activities such as breeding, questing and fighting. Epoch is planned to feel overall similar to ARPGs such as Dracostryx, Kukuri, Primeval-Age, Souls-Between and others like these.
Epoch is an ARPG focused on extinct reptiles from Mesozoic Eurasia specifically, such as dinosaurs and pterosaurs. It will have a variety of fun features such as genetics and mutations, traits that influence performance in different areas and a unique approach to herd/pack groups and questing that aims to encourage players to develop the personal story of their animals. Epoch is being developed with a semi-realistic angle in mind, with the visuals and gameplay both being influenced by reasonable speculation for the species involved.
The first 6 species that will be available to players are ones specifically chosen that were important and influential to paleontological history: Velociraptor, Protoceratops, Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Pterodactylus and Ichthyosaurus. More species are planned for later updates once the game is released.
I can't give any concrete dates on when Epoch will finally be ready to play, as it is still fairly early in development. While the bases are done there is still a lot of work to be done on the art side of things to get all the assets and guides ready, along with setting up the website that Epoch will be hosted on using the Lorekeeper framework. However I intend to update regularly on development progress over on this blog here @epocharpg so please follow if you want to see more about this project. I've already posted the first dev update over there!
In the meantime, here's a sneak peak of the bases for the starter species!

It depends on the person. I do believe you can be diagnosed at a later age if it was concluded your weren’t autistic by physicians/psychologists because of symptoms that might show up or manifest later as we age.

The manifestation of symptoms in autism depends on the individual. Some may show signs as a toddler and be diagnosed. While others won’t really show signs until they reach primary school. According to the CDC:
ASD begins before the age of 3 years and can last throughout a person’s life, although symptoms may improve over time. Some children show ASD symptoms within the first 12 months of life. In others, symptoms may not show up until 24 months of age or later. Some children with ASD gain new skills and meet developmental milestones until around 18 to 24 months of age, and then they stop gaining new skills or lose the skills they once had.
As children with ASD become adolescents and young adults, they may have difficulties developing and maintaining friendships, communicating with peers and adults, or understanding what behaviors are expected in school or on the job. They may come to the attention of healthcare providers because they also have conditions such as anxiety, depression, or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, which occur more often in people with ASD than in people without ASD.
