You can now choose WhatsApp as your iPhone’s default app for calls and text messages (...) After updating WhatsApp to version 25.8.74, you’ll see the app appear as an option in your Messaging and Calling default app settings.

And indeed, I checked, and I can do that right now. But would I really want that? No of course.

Now, if Signal would enable me to do that same, I probably would not say no. But if I remember well, I used to do that on Android, and then Signal decided to remove the feature.
