There weren't many glaze lilies left in Liyue. According to the history books, there used to be entire fields of them, cared for by a god who's name had been lost. Guizhong Xiangu wished that she could go back to those times, but then, she considered, who would be left to care for the glaze lilies of her age?

Today, she sat on the ground, her Vision-Powered Wheeled Chair resting nearby, and sung a gentle melody to the fragile flowers growing outside Qingce Village. Somehow, she knew that the flowers enjoyed the music, and it was almost as if she could feel them gaining strength the more times she visited.

She heard footsteps approach, but waited continued on until the melody came to its natural end. There was no need to interrupt her performance.

When she was finished, she turned her head to look at the golden-haired traveler with a soft smile. "Do you enjoy gardening, too?"

Fontaine wasn't a nation that Guizhong Xiangu had visited in the past - not due to a lack of interest, but rather a lack of time. Ever since she had published her design for her Vision-Powered Wheeled Chair, her list of comissions had grown longer and longer, and before she knew it, there was no time left for herself.

This trip was supposed to help her to relax, only, it was near impossible for her to turn off that analytical part of her mind. That was how she ended up sat in front of an automaton, analytical gaze scanning it curiously.

Sensing the presence of another, she spoke without lifting her gaze. "These really are impressive. I would love to be able to take one apart and see how it functions. It seems to be some form of clockwork, don't you think?"

"As an educator, I don’t just want you to feel what I feel. I don’t want you to consider me correct because I said it beautifully. I want to sharpen your critical thinking skills and your world-making capacities. I absolutely do not leave emotion out of that! Emotions are as central as the written, verbal, numeric, social, ecological knowledges we are able to gain to navigate this world and the next. I am just… extra cognizant of how much I can lead viewers to feel with me without further thought.
