I have exhausted by daily brain cell count thinking about DELTARUNE Lore. What have I come up with?
Well, let's start with some observations.
Kris, Susie, Ralsei, and even Noelle are all capable of straight up ignoring our commands. They can refuse to perform an action we tell them to and straight up "leave the party" when it suits them. Kris will stop you from dropping the Cards in the Light World, and the narration will scold you for attempting it. Kris will stop you from walking into their mother's line of sight while carrying a ball of trash. Kris will refuse to allow you the choice to watch Susie and Noelle on a Snowgrave route. Kris, in 2 chapters, has removed their Soul from their body and, by extension, "left the party," 3 times. Kris will refuse to allow the player to tell Noelle to "Proceed" through their own voice. Kris isn't going to say it for us, because they refuse to participate. Kris is also capable of speaking and even moving without our say-so. Susie doesn't even join the party until the last section of Chapter 1, and even then she will refuse to flirt with an enemy when instructed to. She also straight up says that if you tell her to do something dumb, she'll stop listening to you. In Chapter 2, she leaves the party to go off with Ralsei regardless of whatever you choose. Ralsei is the least willing to disobey commands, which is fitting of him as a Darkner, a being with its own mind but not its own will. He does however occasionally override a descision, like insisting that Chapter 1's Susie intermission be viewed. Noelle is second least willing to disobey a command, but that's part of her character flaws. She can't say no. Even then, she doesn't just do as she's told mindlessly. She refuses to use Snowgrave 3 or 4 times and will only use it when she gets fed up with being told to use it. She then leaves the party of her own accord.
Spamton desires Kris' Soul on the grounds that it will allow him to be the one making the calls. That with it, he can see past the dark, and look into "heaven." When speaking to Spamton, they say they refuse to give up their Soul because of their friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kris, despite being able to undo, ignore, and prevent our control of them, chooses to allow us to control them. They will veto a descision they don't like, but they willingly give up their autonomy. They only occasionally decide to stop us controlling them, and they always bring us back.
ACTing is an ability that, despite explicitly NOT being magic, is capable of doing literally anything. An ACT can give buffs or debuff, it can damage and heal, it can summon things that aren't there and make them disappear when not needed.
ACTs are only ever used in battle, and only by characters who are "in the party." When Susie saves Noelle from Werewires, she does it by using Rude Buster on the control wires.
When a character is "in the party" it means they can recieve commands from us regardless of whether or not Kris is up. The fact that Susie doesn't join the party for so long means that, while she is in the battle, we can't issue any commands to her directly. She is also unwilling to listen to directions from Kris. However, even after she joins the party, she retains the ability to reject our commands. Being in the party solely ditactes the ability to recieve our directions.
During either Susie intermission, Kris' Soul remains inside their body, and dialogue options are spoken directions from their mouth. Susie can barely hear Kris in Chapter 1 because they're in another room behind a brick wall, and in Chapter 2, she doesn't react to those choices because she literally isn't in the room.
ACTing is strictly necessary to beat DELTARUNE. K. Round cannot be defeated without using it, and neither can the Music Guys.
In most cases, ACTing will create a heart-shaped particle effect. This is diegetic to some extent, as the dialogue options for the Ferris Wheel reference it.
"Point and hearts come out."
Ralsei consistently preaches the value of ACTing. He claims FIGHTing is unnecessary, and insists that Susie learn to ACT, partially out of fear of what could happen if she doesn't.
Ralsei has a prevalent Heart motif, with the heart on his robe and on the big door in his castle.
Ralsei claims Kris' Soul contains the FATE OF THE WORLD. As a fitting parallel to this, the DELTA RUNE, an image representing the Propehcy of the end of the world and the heroes that undo and/or prevent it, is heart-shaped, with the three triangles and winged circle contained within.
Dual Heal, Red Buster, and Courage are all accessed via the ACT menu.
In Chapter 2, ACTs initiated from Kris' ACT menu will be more powerful than ones from Susie and Ralsei's Magic menus.
After the Goner Maker but before the Opening, a distinctly Non-Gaster voice will discard your vessel, state that no one can choose who they are in this world, then tell you your name is Kris, though that last part comes through the mouth of Toriel. This voice shares speech patterns with Chara Dreemurr.
It is implied Gaster has seen a future in which the heroes fail, and brings in the player to create a new future where they succeed. It is also implied Kris has seen this "old future" as well.
Kris Dreemurr shares many similarities with Chara Dreemurr. A love of chocolate, a green shirt with a yellow stripe, non-descript pants, some kind of preoccupation with knives, a snarky attitude and prankster streak, etc.
Putting all this together, I present my latest theories.
For one, ours is the power to ACT. Only characters in the party can ACT, and ACTing can create things that aren't there, as well as cause anything to happen. Kris, our defacto vessel, can ACT better than anyone else, because they have the most direct connection to us. We are represented by a heart, and hearts appear when an ACT is used. Ralsei, a proponent of ACTing, has a heart on his robe, and on his big door. The DELTA RUNE, the prophecy of the heroes, is heart-shaped. The Prophecy requires that ACTs be used in order to progress. In this theory, Gaster brought in the player specifically because they have the power to ACT. They have the power to change things, to make anything happen. Spamton wants Kris' Soul in the hopes that he will be able to change things. That he won't be a slave to someone else's will.
The second part of this theory is that Kris was the one to reject the Vessel. Kris allows themselves to be controlled for their friends' sakes. While capable of removing us directly or telling someone about us, they don't, because it was their choice to allow us in the first place. In this theory, Kris already failed to save the world, but the timeline was reset. Gaster, seeing that Kris failed, calls in the player, but Kris decides to steal a second chance. While not his intention, Gaster does not object to Kris' interjection, because it doesn't matter to him. As long as they player is there, there's hope. This theory actually goes hand in hand with the first, as Gaster summons the player for the power to ACT, and Kris takes them in by their own descision, as their own autonomy is not as important as that power. It's a small price to pay. Kris, when they do remove our influence, seems less concerned with getting away from us, and more concerned with keeping us around. They could just crush that heart or stab it, or even just throw it away, but instead they keep it locked up in a cage, hidden in a cabinet, or stuffed in the couch. And when they're done making a Dark Fountain in their own living room, they put us right back in place, but not before holding up the heart, as if staring at it in awe.
anyway as i said i have no braincells left feel free to tell me why im wrong have a good nighttfftffx

sept 2024 4koma update
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No updates for the usual manga adaptations! Only a 4koma update this month!
This time it features Cater (and his clones) playing basketball with the Basketball Club members. While playing, Cater also focuses on filming himself for Magicam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the course of the comic, we learn that the teachers would never allow for Cater to use his UM for class. However, Cater brings out a clone if there is an odd number of students per class and they need to partner up. (Usually it’s Idia, lol) The problem with this is that Cater doesn’t have the endurance to keep his clone around for the entire class, so it usually poofs halfway through.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vargas cameos at the end to train them all even harder. Cater bails on Ace, Floyd, and Jamil, leaving them to their fates. Scummy of him, but very in-character 😂
Tumblr media
This particular update made me realize how much continuity there is in the 4koma. For example:
Cater states that he and Idia are the same class. This is true; they are both in Class 3-B.
Floyd expresses annoyance and anger when Ace comments that he and Jade are the same because they are twins. This is something that Floyd has historically disliked, demonstrated in the Beans Day event as well as his own School Uniform vignette.
Tumblr media
Cater is shown using his UM. When his clones vanish, he disappears in a cloud of playing cards. This was first depicted in the Episode of Heartslabyul manga and implies that this is how his UM works in all interpretations. One discrepancy, however, is that in the Episode of Heartslabyul manga, all the cards are diamond suits. In the 4koma, the suits are varied—you can see hearts, spades, and clubs in addition to diamonds. (A friend theorized that the Heartslabyul manga is pre-Riddle OB and the 4koma is post-Riddle OB; in that time, Cater has realized the value of friendship and so the suits represented on his cards changed. But that’s just a theory—a gaaaaame theory!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cater has used his UM in other physical activities to get the upper hand or to get the task done faster. For example, to paint the roses or to get running his laps done sooner.
With all this continuity going on, maybe we can take some of the lore drops in the 4koma as basically canon? 🤔 (Like how certain characters are in certain courses together!)

SO,GUYS I HAVE A THEORY (⚠️TW: probably trigger themes)
Tumblr media
The Undertale locations is based on Hell's rings/layers by Dante.
BUT DON'T SCROLL!!!I HAVE LOT'S OF THINGS TO EXPLAIN!
Tumblr media
Firstly, that i can think of it's a Snowdin and 9 layer-Treachery.
Because on this layer it's very cold and people buried in ice.And Snowdin it's a cold place too! Then,Sans lives in Snowdin, and he is the hardest boss in whole game.As the "Treachery" level is the most cruel place.
Tumblr media
Secondly, Waterfall it's a gluttony/anger.
Arguments in side of gluttony:It says, that punishment on this layer is rotting under the rain and hail. And in Undertale, Waterfall is very rainy place
Arguments in side of anger: The whole anger ring is a Stix lake(or swamp, idk) and Waterfall is a litteral cluster of lakes and rivers. And it's punishment it's a eternal fight, and in the game we fight with Undine.
Tumblr media
Thirdly,Hotland is a hell in traditional way of understanding, like fire, lava.
And i can say that Ruins is a limbo, but it's hard to me to find similarities, and I'm just lazy ass :p
And i can add that hell is somewhere in underground and in Undertale we falling underground
EVENTUALLY!
I want to say that it's just my opinion,my theory. You can add anything if you have any information to correct or add,but please no insulting, deal?
AND IT'S JUST A THEORY,A GAAAAAME THEORY

A (probably incorrect) theory about Mollymauk and the Beacon
With the recent reveal of the last episode, I wanted to share a possible theory about the Beacons, The Luxon, and Mollymauk that probably isn’t true but might as well be said.
*WARNING, MASSIVE CRITICAL ROLE SPOILERS*
Alright.... so the way my noggin is chugging is a massive web of interconnection obscured by time and mystery.
Let’s start with the Luxon and the Beacon. From what I can understand (I haven’t read Explorers Guide to Wildmount), the Dodecahedron/Beacon itself is not the device that allows souls to transfer into another, but simply a religious frame to which to contain the crystal? We know certain magical substances about it can be extracted from the Beacon as Vess Dergona had threatened commissioned Yeza to test a substance that had come from their experiments with it.
So the magic of the Beacon (and perhaps Dunamancy itself) is not strictly defined by faith to the Luxon, but is instead framed around it. Information of The Light seems to be routed in a pure faith system as opposed to direct divine intervention or influence. Which poses the first point of this theory
The Power of the Beacon is not based on a God but instead very complicated and old magic
Now, that isn’t to say that The Luxon isn’t real, nor the Legend of the origin of these Beacons. But I do find it odd that these things have been around since the beginning of time and no other group besides the Krynn do not having any previous experience that was recorded or even mentioned in the past. No great stories about these pieces of a God’s body scattered across the Material Plane...
Unless those stories and experiences were lost in the destruction of Aeor
Aeor was a massive influence in the Age of Arcanum, big enough to have the Gods create a truce to destroy the floating city. They were rumored to have weapons that could kill Gods. But, what if that weren’t exactly the case?
What if, instead of a weapon to kill the Gods, Aeor was using the power of the Beacons to instead defy the balance of life and death. Using its vast magical capabilities, they might have figured out the process of consecution and how to be reborn into the bodies of their children. A way to maintain the power and knowledge of the mages of Aeor without having to resort to necromancy or other forms of prolonged life.
What I’m suggesting is that Aeor and the Mages that ran it had found the Beacons previously, harnessing and expanding it’s magic to keep themselves alive. And even perhaps, using the magic to keep the city from being destroyed. It might be possible that Aeor used what they knew about the Beacons to keep Aeor alive from the wrath of the Gods, and when the city was “struck” the remnants of the beacons might have been scattered.
This might also explain the strangeness and the unsettling nature of the floating city in the Astral Sea. Without the Beacons the city might be in a strange limbo, a terrifying and agitating force of magic, immortality and soul containing. It might also why Vokodo was running from it. A strange city filled with weapons and arcana that can not die? If I had pissed it off, I would run as well.
This leads into the the second point of the theory.
Aeor used the Power of the Beacons to keep the city alive, turning it into the “living city” that is floating around the astral sea
Cut to “modern” day. We know Vess has both an interest of Aeor and the Beacon. And if Beau’s theory about Vess hiring the TombTakers is true, then its possible that Mollymauk (previously Lucien) might have been exposed to this information as well.
Vess, after recovering one of the Beacons, might have made a connection to both the magic and of Aeor. Hiring the Tomb Takers, she and them would have travelled to Aeor to recover any information about the Beacon. The book she had might have been a research piece on the magic itself.
After learning of the magic, she might have felt confident enough to perhaps preform the ceremony of consecution. I don’t believe she would have known about the floating city in the Astral Sea, but if Lucien had previous knowledge of it, I don’t think it would have taken to much to put two and two together.
Lucien and Vess might have come to an arrangement. Vess can preform the ceremony of consecution on Lucien as an experiment, and meanwhile Lucien could see if he could make a connection to the floating city.
However, the spell failed. Lucien died, and the Tomb Takers scattered (stealing the book in the process). Vess believes that it was a failure, and goes on to try and find out more about the Beacons in alternative ways.
BUUUUT, as we know, Lucien didn’t stay dead. Instead, his body rose again. With no memory, the body called himself Mollymauk.
What I think happened is that spell did work. Just, not in the way Vess or Lucien was expecting. I believe that Lucien did return to the body, but since the memories of previous lives only occur during the teen years of those consecuted then he would have no memories. Given a couple more years, I believe Molly would had started having those memories again. Which brings us to the third point.
Mollymauk, a.k.a Lucien, was a consecuted soul who might have a connection to Aeor due to the magic harnessed by them
This is why Molly (or lucien) is back. He can not die, since his is consecuted. And now, they are heading to Aeor to seek out answers about what happened to him.
The only piece I can not confirm nor fully explain is the “Eyes of Nine”
One theory I have is that during the ceremony, Lucien was transported to Aeor (perhaps the city itself had become a beacon) and branded with the tattoos, whom was then returned to his body.
Another theory is that there are not 4 beacons, but instead 9. 9 pieces of the scattered body that, if put together, might return Aeor (or the light) to its full glory.
A terrifying thought is if Aeor had become itself a beacon, and was now the “body” of a LOST GOD. Which might explain why Melora had no idea what it was, since The Light came before even the elements.
As for the remains of “Aeor” in Eiselcross, they might have been a broken fragment that had broken off during the Calamity, or perhaps a sister city that had also fell. Or perhaps a lot of the physical remnants of the city remained, and only the city and souls of Aeor were transported into the Astral Sea.
IDK These are just things that have been popping into my head. Another possible theory is that Aeor is actually Ruidus

HOLY FUCK FUCK FUCKING FUCK SHIT GUYS I HAVE MORE
OH MY GOD YALL IM ON A FUCKING ROLL HERE TODAY IN THIS BITCH WERE GONNA TALK ABOUT OUR DEAD FRIEND ANTARC and how theyre actually from the fUcking MOOn and i can FUCKING PROVE IT
SO CHAPTER 83 LEAKS (?) WERE RELEASED RIGHT (go see @green-dia for rough translation)
Tumblr media
SENSEI SAID. THAT ANTARC KNEW HE, SENSEI, WAS FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE HE EVEN TOLD ANYONE ABOUT IT. OKAY AND IN THE DISCORD SERVER I WAS ON YESTERDAY WE WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW ANTARCTICITE WAS MADE
okay im actually gonna stop capsing from here bc this might be kinda long
ahem
antarcticite is a weird mineral. it’s a crystalline precipitate found in brines in extreme dry conditions. basically, it forms out of evaporated salt water. It will also melt in the presence of humidity because it’s chemical formula (CaCl2·6H2O) already has water present in it, so additional moisture will break apart the bonds because of the water. So, why do i bring this up?
Tumblr media
Because the beach of beginnings isnt a suitable place for antarcticite to be born. Yeah, you can imagine a puddle of salt water sitting around, maybe brought in by the ocean or dripping from the cliff (?? if you can find a reason for salt water coming out of the edge of a literal rock solid cliff), but by the time summer rolls around, would really be enough time or be the right temperature to evaporate and form actual antarcticite, when the temperature on the island is enough to melt them to start with? Next, I don’t see any other place where there would be a shallow salty brine for antarc to form anywhere on the island, along with temperature. so, what do I presume? Antarc is from the moon, created by the lunarians and dropped them off. Why they put them there in the first place? We don’t really know. But if they were really from the moon, isn’t it strange that antarc was captured in front of phos?
Tumblr media
Did they calculate for this to happen so phos would intentionally go to the moon one day? With what purpose do they need phos? Because they are (or, were) one of the closest gems to sensei, and the most likely to get him to pray? I don’t think they expected phos to become so battered, but maybe it was just fortuitous that they happened to stumble upon a gem who was not only once close to sensei, but is also mentally unstable (i guess they really didn’t care when they yanked away antarc) Maybe antarcticite’s existence was created for that very purpose, to lug someone who was close with both of them into their mess so they can persuade them (phos) into forcing him to pray. Do you think that perhaps they will bring back antarcticite at one point when everything is said and done? If the lunarians turn against them, would they use antarcticite to fight against phos? But that’s just a theory, am i right

The Clock
[overanalyzing c!Dream, his clock, and c!Ranboo]
Tumblr media
First (official) visit to Pandora’s Vault - (1/21/2021) TommyInnit
(37:20) Dream states, “I like watching the clock” at the same time that it reaches the half day and half night point (Dawn). Dream starts spinning the clock after Tommy and turns it into a “new game”. Dream gets mildly protective of the clock when Tommy takes it.
(1/30/2021) BadBoyHalo
(33:00) BBH and Dream chat for a bit. BBH takes notice of Dream spinning the clock. The conversation continues as follows;
BBH: Man you- you really- you really like this clock dontcha
Dream: I mean I don’t really have anything else other than the clock
BBH: Have you named it yet? Dream: I did! BBH: What's its name! Dream: I don't really want to say…
BBh: no it’s okay, i m down with naming inanimate stuff
Dream: no it’s okay…
Dream continues to spin the clock while they chat (it’s funny y’all should watch it) Dream shows BBH that he can move the clock around. He puts it on the other wall.
Dream tells BBH, “I like to watch it, then when it hits half way… then I’m happy” BBH goes along with it, watching the clock with Dream. The clock reaches halfway with one pixel off and Dream says, “Aw! Thats awesome!”. BBH is unimpressed. Dream picks the clock up and puts it back in its spot. Now the clock is perfectly halfway (Dawn), he remarks, “look it’s perfect now”
They chat for a bit and Dream tells him that he burns his clock to make Awesamdude visit him.
Awesamdude says that if Dream doesn’t stop burning his clocks he will stop giving him them.
(1/30/2021) Ranboo
[worth mentioning: When Ranboo starts the stream its night. However, The Warden (Awesamdude) carries a clock in his off hand (he does this in every appearance of The Warden), the day and night cycles continue normally so this next observation may be purely coincidence]
(~30:00) Dream doesn’t touch the clock throughout Ranboos visit. The clock is in the midnight position at the start of Ranboos conversation with Dream, it's in that position for a long time. As Dream starts talking in the third person the clock starts moving, (next Ranboo sees the books, begins to break down) when Dream says “I’m not even real” and disappears. The Clock sits perfectly at the halfway point (Dawn). The walls then collapse and the clock is no longer in view.
(2/9/2021) SapNap
(1:38:00) Dream is holding the clock when Sapnap arrives, he puts it back in it’s spot but picks it back up again. He puts it in the frame for Sapnap to look at, it’s named “DO NOT BURN”. Dream looks at Sapnap when giving him his book but turns away from him to look at the clock as it hits the halfway (Dusk) Dream picks it up again and holds it in his offhand. When Sapnap tells him to not try and escape he throws the clock into the lava. Dream asks Sapnap to tell Ranboo “:)”
Awesamdude mentions that Dream has burned ~5 clocks.
Analysis: I think the clock is a metaphor for Ranboo thank you for your time.

i dont think it’ll have a very wide audience if i do finish it because it’s just a side note in a broader context but i would like to posit the concept apart from that fic because i feel like its a pretty fun concept even if its based on literally nothing but like necron chronomancers generally existing and being used by the guy who visited the other galaxy and now has something going on with the tyranids we dont know and like maybe another unbaked evidenceless gaaaaame theory ive deduced from the emperors genuinely truly bizarre behavioral patterns of alternating sound and unsound tactical decisions

So, Vast Error, huh? I’m finally getting around to this thing after being aware of it for many, many years. For a long time I intended to get around to reading it, but it never seemed to happen. For last year I’ve actually been kind of avoiding it for unspecified reasons, but I’m finally ready to give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did. So far, I’m really enjoying myself. I’ve written quite a few notes, so let’s try to convert them into something professional before I pass out at my desk for the night.
Vast Error starts off as any typical fanventure would: an “enter name” gag, and an outline of our protagonist’s interests. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Wriggling days are unsignificant, and the 22nd bi-lunar perigee of the dark season's 3rd blink seems to be Arcjec’s. Oh right, his name is Arcjec Voorat. Moving on. We can tell from the Mountain Dew Code Red cans around the room that he appears to be the Repitonian equivalent of an alcoholic, assuming soda and alcohol have the same parallel on Repiton as on Alternia. So far I have no real way of knowing, but it’s safe to assume I could be wrong here. Just an interesting detail I noticed, because it makes Arcjec out to be even more of a supposed loser than he is already established to be (which I assume is the point, I don’t find his character uncompelling due to these traits).
Skorpe is a pretty obvious take on Skype, which immediately dates this comic to having started back when people still used Skype. I feel so fucking old saying that. Damn. Arcjec’s handle is animatedHumorist, which is funny because this guy seems to not be very animated unless he’s falling out a window. XDXD Also, his quirk is cringe. XDXD
Tumblr media
On the subject of windows, some asshole throws a pebble at his. Following is a REALLY nice scrolling panel on page /28. I never get used to smooth scrolling in this art style, but I always absolutely adore it. Even early on, the tech on panels seems to be ahead of what I can imagine was its competition. Arcjec feels pretty certain he’s going to fucking die, so as all brave warriors do, he goes to hide under his desk. Unfortunately his plan is foiled when some asshole messages him. “Blue guy”, or windlessArtificer seems to want Arcjec to play a game, a trope all too common to fanvetures. We need you in the gaaaaame Arcjec. But of course he says no, as his life is in a bit of immediate danger.
It’s at this time I’d like to point out that Skorpe is a horrifying program, and I made a joke about it wanting to kill me in my notes so... maybe there’s something there. I don’t know. Let’s go back to windows, that was a fun subject.
Tumblr media
Whoops.
Arcjec falls out of the window, and we move on to a different character. Before we do, though, we get some interesting prose here. It seems to imply that Repiton used to be a different place, or at least that Arcjec used to be in a much different situation. I’m curious how exactly Repiton was different, but it’s not as though there are a lot of clues. Perhaps the violent injustice used to be more comparable to Beforus’ civilization, rather than what appears to be a clear parallel to Alternia? I’m not really sure. Let’s be another character already. Not the blue guy though, because apparently he’s too good for us.
Tumblr media
But there’s nothing to worry about apparently, because it’s clown time. I’m sure the audience is ecstatic, but please calm down. I haven’t even hit post yet. I haven’t even pasted the image in yet!
Tumblr media
Ok, now you can lose your minds clapping.
That is, if clowns and wrestling are your sort of thing. This is Taz. No full name included here, but that’s alright. Another standard intro plays out, though this time more aggressive. The Merthful Messiahs we’re all so used to from Homestuck seem to be replaced by the much more present and violent Merthamaniacs. This appears to just be Repitonian wrestling, turned into a religion, complete with the violence and death provided by troll societies. Also Hulk Hogan is the twin-president usurper-equivalent on Repiton, I think. I understand what happened, I’m just not sure how to phrase it.
Not a whole lot happens here, though something very noteworthy is that the ocean is totally fucked up. Is this what that prose from earlier was referring to? The oceans are so poisoned and radioactive, that all sealife has become incredibly hostile and cannibalistic. Trolls have naturally evolved to avoid water at all costs. That’s like... a lot of worldbuilding to just casually drop? But I assume it’s going to come in handy for keeping our protagonists from cheesing their way out of predicaments.
I had some notes regarding the ferocity waver and Taz’s Skorpe handle, preniciousOverkill, but I don’t really have anything to say about the subjects. I also wrote “the clown wants to kill me, it’s like Skorpe all over again” in my notes, so if there’s any kind of running joke that would work here, please let me know.
Oh hey, a new Skorpelog. This time it’s with Murrit. I know I haven’t been introduced to him yet, but I’ve known three characters in Vast Error long before I ever started reading: Arcjec, Ellsee, and Murrit. Murrit seems pretty fun. I like how he just seems to streamroll the conversation into his favor. He also talks about that pesky game we heard about before. I smell a SBURB session, but maybe not a SBURB session because honestly anything could happen here. These tropes are all being set up, but will they be subverted? Who knows. Well, you might, if you’re reading this. Is Austin reading this? Hey Austin, how’s it going? Oh shit, sorry, no time to chat, I’ve gotta get back to this blog post.

Cool shot of Murrit. Not much to say here. The fish stuff I mentioned before is actually brought up AFTER this conversation, I kinda fucked up. Anyway, Murrit mentions something about an informant, and based on what little I know about this comic, I’m going to assume it’s the guy we see in a couple pages. Or in this case, the very next section.

Fuck is up with this dude? On the very first sound page, we see Arcjec have some kind of dream about this guy who I’m assuming is Murrit’s mentioned informant. When he wakes up, the narration says it happened “again”, implying skull guy is a regular cast member of Arcjec’s dreams. I don’t have much in the way of wrapping things up, so I’ll end with a random theory I just thought of. Is this guy related to why Repiton’s changed, assuming that’s what the prose meant? Does this guy know a guy who was responsible? Who’s to say?
This has been fun, but it’s 1:30am, and I need to get some sleep. Catch you next time.
