“So you like them blue eyed types?”

“What?”

“Lancealot. You said he done have pretty eyes.”

Jedidiah seemed very focused on picking something from the underside of his nail while he spoke. He wasn’t wearing his gloves- and Octavius couldn’t help but admire the rough, calloused hands.

“Well?”

Jed’s voice snapped him out of staring at the other man. “Sorry, what was the question?”

Jed looked up, then, his piercing blue eyes meeting Octavius’ dark ones. Suddenly, the Roman found that his mouth was very very dry.

“Blue eyes. You got a thing for that.”

“Oh… yes. I suppose.” Octavius swallowed hard.

He wasn’t wearing his helmet or his armor, and he felt very bare without it. Very exposed.

It was a hot night in the museum,and the AC was broken. Both miniatures were lounging by the window in the front of the building, watching the stars. They’d shed some of their clothes- Jedediah had lost his heavy chaps and his vest, and Octavius was wearing only a thin red tunic.

The Roman shifted awkwardly, pulling a leg up against his body in a shy gesture.

“Why do you ask?”

The cowboy gave him an unreadable look. “Dunno.”

“You have blue eyes, too.” Octavious looked up and caught Jedediah’s gaze.

“And are mine pretty?”

“No,” Octavius whispered.

Jedediah looked away, but Octavio’s caught his chin and held it, cupping his jaw gently. “You’re beautiful.”

Jedediah smiled softly, placing his hand over Octavius’. “I thought you knew I don’t like being manhandled,” he said with a chuckle.

Octavius tried to pull his hand away, but Jedediah stopped him. “You, though… you can touch me. Any day.”

Octavious thumbed the cowboy’s plump lower lip.

And then he leaned in and pressed their lips together in a soft kiss.

MOON

an octoling born in the domes. she enjoyed her time with the few friends she made, but her parents constantly moving between domes and her seeing the detoriating condition made her reject it in a teenage moment and escaped to inkopolis, changing her tentacles to blend in with the locals there. a year or so later, she stumbles onto captain cuttlefish, becoming agent 3. as an octoling. she's still fully against anything related to octavio, who she blames completely for the conditions of the domes. of course its more complicated than that but she's 14 and fighting against them. When she beats up octavio, things get complicated fast when the other octolings ask her... how best to escape. when her previous path has been blocked off. and she tries to help them. she remembers a bit of the community, and things get so much more complicated, and she's still trying to hide from cuttlefish by covering up her forehead suctions. this does wonders for her personal schedule and she dedicates herself too much to work. However, when coming across agent 8 (before the memory loss), they reunite before Something attacks them and sends them spiraling into the underground, leaving Moon alone to try and work her way out of something again. she gets taken over. captain cuttlefish learns. and after that, Moon has to deal with having free time again... and during the time of learning how to have personal hygiene and do turf wars for fun again, she falls for agent 8, Sun, once more. And then she becomes captain and at this point i'm still forming things. still trying to keep that balance, which marie and callie help with. yeah. agent 3 octoling oc!

MAYBE ITS NOT THE OPPORTUNE TIME TO ANSWER THIS ONE BUT we need a little lightness in our octane experiences i think LMAO. HCs: Octavio went to cotillion classes. More like he was forced to. At cotillion, middle school aged kids have to learn proper etiquette for all fancy gatherings, throwing and attending big events, how to eat at a fancy restaurant, and how to ballroom dance. he HATED every minute, until the ballroom part, and he learned how to swing dance. Its so energetic!! ALL that to say: He knows EXACTLY how to behave at galas, but god does he HATE them.

Octavio's ears are kinda fucked. He wears protection in games but never used to. Between Lifeline's loud Flyer Liars shows and his childhood fireworks shows, hes got a pretty big loss of hearing in one ear; this can make you dizzy and prone to vertigo, which fits in with all of his emotes where he gets pukey after bouncing around LMAO

His interpersonal skills are really really complex. He wants outside support and attention- but the second someone seems TOO interested he pulls away; He doesnt want someone to look at him too long and decide that he is actually stupid or boring or all the other awful things his dad-pa used to tell him. Hes got a lot to unpack there :C He started wering his mask and goggles moreoften, almost obsessively- because he started growing into his looks and he had the AWFUL realization: " I look a lot like my old man...." He doesn't like that. on go the face coverings.

I play with the HC of him being ace or aro, demi, etc. but he hates labels above ANYTHING. often when i write for him, and someone asks him if hes gay or bi, he just settles on somewhere between "Does that matter?" or "im just not straight, can we kiss already?" his romantic capabilities feel like theyre fun to play around with :> When i hc him as trans, I dont think he'd do top surgery, its too much down time for the recovery, so he has these massive doodle murals on his binders- MANY legends have signed 'em. <3
