small animated scene that was lowkey inspired by how I felt (headcanons) about Ink’s character from fic “finding a safe haven” by AcidGreenFlames

(Ink and Cross’s chapters in particular)

Basically in the original story (finding a safe haven by @therealesino), Dream sensed that Nightmare needed help and tracked him down to a world he’s hiding in intending to have a talk, but Dream didn’t realize it was because Nightmare had a shard of light stuck in his soul after surviving a terrible attack from an unknown enemy causing him to become less emotionally rigid and more vulnerable to feelings. Dream brought Ink along with Blue, but Ink only saw it as an opportunity to eliminate the enemy and attacked Nightmare and the humans he bonded with viciously without a shred of hesitation - and they were only saved because Cross was with Dream at the time and he took a shot for the humans that would have certainly killed them, which Ink had seen as a betrayal.

(in the (headcanon) scenario, I thought about Ink finally catching up to Cross to make good on his implied threats like he did with Nightmare, after Cross had returned to his old comrades and tried hard to get away from his previous life …

have you ever read royal au? it's about level 20 cross as a prince with nightmare and his friends as cross's wives

I have and I love Esino's Royal AU! I literally binged it all in one night lol and the 'wives' part is a bit of an apt description for the harem XD

Actually I've had several thoughts on it before like what if the dear farming boyo Saejun was the royal cook, and kinda having a thing with Horror like Cross has with Epic (the whole can't be together thing cuz status) only I pictured Cross being okay with it in a melancholy way cuz y'know, he gets it. And the others being like 'Well we do kinda like Cross so-can't really say anything lol' with maybe a grumpy Killer idk

Another is what a day in the life of Sans and his one Harem mate Red looks like. I deeply enjoy the thought of Red and Sans bonding over science after having a rough start post war and stuff like how Cross is bonding slowly and helping his harem through recovery. Personal idea is Red playing cold shoulder and refusing to speak, and it gets Sans to take that as a challenge to do all kinds of things just to see if he can eventually get him to talk after not really caring at first but then hearing Red make a sarcastic remark probably at one of his jokes. Cue gradual Red dropping cussing words of wisdom while Sans tries to solve an equation or figure something out. Red having a grudging respect over the food tech that helped them win, Sans unable to help feeling his soul skip when he hears Red talk math etc. XD

I really enjoy the concept and in all honesty can't wait to see where it goes next <3 Aoi Kanna makes breathtaking artwork for it too.
