(hopefully) theres a mish-mash of past lives' in the labyrinth (?) god!joel is lost in, the possibly very same labyrinth the other joels are slightly less stuck in (the joels that appeared in the finale share their spot of heaven with god!joel) oh wait and theyre all gods. all of em. i cant remember if thats canon or not. welp. as said, a few of the joels share the same place of heaven, but the entirety of heaven houses all the other gods across the mcyt multiverse! (and angels, which are the less then remarkable mortals, but they arent really important to the plot) (thanks oli orionsound, im stealing some lore /silly)

and so, the actual recent thoughts, im thinking so far, in random rooms (?) in the labyrinth, itll have parts of the mezalean palace! both destroyed and regular versions :)

i would like to add other structures but i have no clue what to add as i haven't watched xlife sadge. or empires s1 but shhhhh /silly

Though I've been hinting since the summary of the fic, (actually long before that, since the beginning of Reprogrammed) but really emphasizing it in Decoded, that Martin has some issues when it comes to taking care of himself. While Chris' complete lack of self preservation is a recent development, Martin's has been taking root since childhood and as such isn't as noticeable. He's the oldest sibling, he's the team leader, he prioritizes others above himself because it's all he's ever known. And while there's nothing inherently wrong with that, he takes it to the extreme and becomes neglectful of himself.

And with Chris needing more support than usual, Martin's self-neglect is becoming more apparent...

I would also like to take this moment to point out ahem... Martin never broke his promise.

Firstly, the reason I was even inspired to write a serial killer fic in the first place was after reading a very fun fic titled "Knives & Blood, & me + You" by @missraindancer. I absolutely loved the first chapter. Definitely recommend that fic if you want something like a snuff thriller. It's giving campy 80s slasher and has a lot of Sans POVs, which I'll admit, did take away from the suspense but he has some funny commentary, and there's a charm to it when you go into the fic expecting more of a "Scream" movie and not "Hannibal."

That being said, the fic DID get me back into watching more serial killer related things like "Silence of the Lambs" - which is the BIGGEST inspiration for TMDG. I even named Frisk after Clarisse, that's how big of an inspiration the movie is to me.

I'm honestly so glad you like Detective Asgore, that was a last minute decision I made! At first he was going to be the Commissioner and the detective working with Frisk was another human... then I realized, wow, these are a lot of humans, and Frisk and Asgore's F/D relationship is getting lost in the weeds! So it was like... a day before I published? When I just changed all of that hahaha, and now he's like, one of my favorite characters so look at that! I would say Asgore is heavily inspired design wise by Jim Gordon.
