one of the best parts of stargirl season 2 is cindy going up to cameron w the intention of getting him in her Bad Kid Squad and he almost completely unprompted is just like You are the worst and I hate you and No One likes you and You said some fucked up shit in the 4th grade Leave me Alone. and she was like okay and just went welp i guess he's out

me five minutes into kerblam!: oh i see, this is a commentary on how giant corporations exploit and dehumanize their workforce with extensive surveillance, unachievable work targets, poor compensation, micromanaging social interactions, etc while slowly replacing them with automation
kerblam! five minutes to the end: explosive bubble wrap actually
kerblam! five minutes to the end: the real villain all along was *looks at smudged writing on hand* the working class wanting the dignity of honest work and not wanting to be replaced by automation
the doctor at the end of kerblam!: "the systems aren't the problem! how people use and exploit the system, that's the problem. people like you" [who want to work and not be replaced by robots]
the worst part is that the first half of the episode is a somewhat cogent criticism of amazon's warehouse labour practices. i assume someone higher up got their grubby hands on the script and forced a rewrite of the ending. but now there are artifacts of that previous story in the end product, so you see everyone getting fitted with ankle monitor trackers, and how management treats the workers poorly, and how coworkers aren't allowed to socialize during their shift, and all these moments of reflection about the system by ryan & graham & yaz as they interact with other workers that come directly from their own working class experiences. and because the episode lands on "the system is fine, actually" as the take home message, all of these very clear instances of warehouse workers being treated horribly just get folded in.
nine would kill thirteen on sight as a class traitor.

Thinking about it now, the majority of Orym mischaracterization comes from him (and Liam) saying one little thing and people taking it to the extreme
“You called a hit on my family” and now Orym forgot about his living family and doesn't care about them
“Thinking in black and white is comforting” and suddenly Orym only thinks in black and white
“The gods are watching” and now Orym is 100% pro-god
“We're at war” and now Orym is a man who only cares about vengeance
“I am pressuring her” and suddenly he will always choose the mission over bh's wellbeing
“I have also spent time thinking how to neutralize each of you” and now he will gladly kill bh the second they turn dark
“Every one of us makes our decisions with the lenses or prisms we see life through. I can't take mine down” and suddenly he's incapable of having any productive conversations

I don’t care to speculate what happens in the next few books but I salivate at the thought that Azriel kills Eris. Knife at his throat, hands in his hair to pull Eris’ head up so that he can spend his last moments staring at the person who promised with every inch of his existence to end him. Was Azriel overcome with rage and protective revenge or did he follow orders like a dog? Does Eris accept this death or fight till the very end. Oh Sarah, do you know how many fix-it headcannons you would fuel? How many “the bond snapped too late” fics would be hot off the presses? It would be so goood sarahhhhhh

i think its been well documented that each episode since wild blue yonder has had a name check (if you dont know what that is, its whey they say the name of the show/episode title in the episode itself), and i was wondering, since its not the same character every time, could there be a connection between them? i cant think of anything but i did make a list of every character who spoke the first name checking line in each episode so if anyone else can find a connection then do add it in the tags
anyways heres the list:
wild blue yonder - donna noble
the giggle - the doctor
the church on ruby road - the doctor
space babies - the doctor
the devils chord - timothy drake
boom - the doctor
73 yards - ruby sunday
dot and bubble - lindy pepperbean
rogue - rogue
the legend of ruby sunday - carla sunday
empire of death - TBA

i literally wont stand for the dawniefication of callie. the most annoying character in yellowjackets??? multiple people saying they wish she didnt exist and they hate her and she's just in the way and they want her to die. are you insane?? she is a Child living in the shadow of her mom's dead best friend that she never knew because her she froze to death in the wilderness years before callie was born. she is a little girl whose entire world got fucked up because she found out her mom is a murderer and her dad is a (bad) blackmailer and now they've all been backed into trying to cover up a murder. her whole life just got upended against her will. of course shes going to lash out on her parents and break up with her high school boyfriend and lie about staying at a friend's house and go to a bar she's not supposed to be at and date an older man she's not supposed to be seeing. even if it's destructive it's something she can control! the comfortable boring Safe life she thought she had was ripped away from her so yeah she's doing reckless shit without thinking about the consequences bc that's all she Can do.
it's dawn summers being voted the most annoying character on television ever all over again. you people just hate teenage girls when they act like teenage girls.

i have very low expectations for the winchesters finale but thanks to robbie thompson being showrunner, i think it’s fair to have slightly higher expectations than normal. so anyways, a good finale to me would contain at minimum the following components:
1) dean appearing for at least 5 min of screen time total over the course of the finale
2) dean’s alive or trying to get out of heaven and be alive
3) dean mentions he’s either trying to find cas, get cas out of the empty, or makes it clear cas is present in his thoughts in some way—bonus points if he calls cas by name instead of his friend or an angel
4) the finale doesn’t end on a cliffhanger because the chances of it getting renewed for a second season are slim to none so that would suck to be left hanging
4) carlos and lata don’t die because we need to stop having poc die for pointless reasons, esp since there’s a possibility they won’t ever be brought back if there’s no season 2
i think these are all fair and reasonable requests for this finale and i’m hoping it’ll instead surprise me by being even better
anyway back to putting my clown make-up on 🤡
