everything’s been hazy.

you think you can barely even call him gojo now.

the most recent message was barely sent a minute ago. like it was on cue, you see the bright headlights pull up outside of your door. you wanted to sink into your couch and never resurface ever again.

you hear suguru’s car door open and close, and then frantic knocking outside. you walk to the door while sniffling, looking through the peephole just to confirm your suspicions. it was satoru.

Last movie: uhh good question. I started watching Pride and Prejudice (2005) yesterday and got distracted after 5 min by remembering that apparently jeans were worn in that time period already and then i had to google some stuff. Last show: season 2 of atla but in a language i don't speak bc that was the only version i found on YouTube (I own the dvds but i dont have a way to use them with my laptop)

When I created this blog: idk. I think the year before Covid? Or maybe shortly before it? What even is time

Other blogs: i got two. One i only used for a secret santa thingy so i won't reveal it in case i need a secret santa blog again. And then there is @brotfrevel. I created that blog when i was very deep into my ed and not comfortable with talking about it where people i know irl might see. I had this little project where each day that i resisted my i healthy habits, i added one element to an embroidery project (I'm happy to announce that I got much much better and the result of this silly little project is now a constanz reminder of that on my wall)

Average hours of sleep: something between 5-7 hours i think. I tend to wake up at 1:30 am and then I'm unable to fall back asleep for a while and then i wake up again at around 3:40. So no idea how much sleep i actually get

Instruments: singing, guitar and violin. And technically i have my grandpa's old mandolin and know enough chords to play a couple of songs but the stings haven't been replaced in over 40 years and it's horribly out of tune so i don't play

“So... this Friday, right?”

“Yup! I’m the star of this next show so you have to come, okay?”

“Ahaha... of course, I’ll go.”

“Fufu, also bring this with you to the show.”

“What’s this for?”

“We can’t tell you just yet. That would spoil the fun~”

You arrive at Wonder Stage once school was over. Tsukasa and Rui seemed to have gone ahead of you so you headed there alone. They probably wanted to make early preparations, you thought. Nene left class early too.

You went to find a place to watch, maybe at the back away from the families that came to watch as well.

“They didn’t even tell me the theme or anything... I wonder what this is about.”

Suddenly, laughter echoed from the stage. It wasn’t as loud and deep as Tsukasa’s, but it was cheery and happy all the same.

The lights slowly turned on showing two familiar faces. One was in a strange outfit, a tall pink hat with bells and yellow pointed shoes. A jester, you thought. The other was sitting on a chair wearing a long white dress, her hair braided into a bun.

“O fair lady, sweet voiced siren! Is this day not super splendid?” Emu’s giggly voice echoed in a sing-song tone.

“Quiet down, you clown.” Nene sighed. “I’m trying to prepare for this night’s song. Shouldn’t you be preparing to entertain his Highness as well?”

“Ehehe!” Emu twirled and leapt for a cartwheel. The kids all gasped in excitement and awe. You couldn’t help but let out on as well.

She sat beside Nene, who made a confused look. “O my lady, show a smile won’t you? It’s a special day after all.”

Nene seemed like she was about to say something when sudden music started.

“WA-HA-HA-HAA!” You smiled as the endearing voice echoed through the room.

As the proud blonde king entered the stage, the audience all clapped and shouted excitedly. You clapped as loud as you could to catch Tsukasa’s attention. He glances in your direction and smiles for a second before continuing his part.

“Everyone, thank you for coming to our royal party!” he yells out. “Tonight, we will be having a most wonderful ceremony! For days, we have been working on a way to make the entire land fill up with the most joyful smiles. As the king, I am pleased to announce that we have found a fantastic way to do so!”

“What is it? What is it? Oh how I want to know!” Emu jumped around followed by a quiet “hush” by Nene.

Tsukasa smirked, “I decided to host the most wonderful shows the kingdom could offer. Performances filled with happiness and smiles for the entire land!”

“Fufu, and to do just that...” You jolt as a sudden voice comes from behind you. You see Rui walk behind you towards the stage. He looks to you and gives you a wink as he passes you.

“...I have been given the honor to create something to let everyone wherever they are be able to witness these performances!” Rui explains in his usual elated tone. You can’t help but feel in awe.

Tsukasa reaches out for Rui’s hand as he lifts him unto the stage. “Yes, my most wonderous alchemist, you are truly so very talented!” Rui smiles.

“Well then, I suppose we can begin? Let us bring smiles across the world, Your Highness.” Rui turns to the girls, “Let’s put on a wonderful show, shall we?” Nene and Emu smile as they approach the center.

The familiar intro of “The World Hasn’t Even Started Yet” plays, causing the entire audience to clap and shout expectantly. Colorful stage lights turn on and create a light show in the air.

Before the performance could start, however, the lights start flickering out and the music cuts off. Not just the Wonder Stage, the entire PhennyLand power shuts off around you.

You can hear confused voices from the crowd as Emu let’s out a surprised and saddened “Ehhhh?”

You see Tsukasa and Rui frown on the stage and discuss something inaudible to you. “There’s gotta be something...” You say to yourself.

A thought then formed in your head.

“Could I...”

You walk towards the stage and shout out as loud as you can.

“It seems there is something amiss!” You say as everyone turns to you.

“At a time like this, when everything is dark, is the most important time for you to smile, is it not?”

Tsukasa follows along. “You... You’re right! Now is not the time to be discouraged! I vowed to make the whole kingdom be full of smiles for as long as I reign, so I will keep to that promise!”

Rui smiles, “It seems you have something in mind.”

You turn to the audience who have calmed back from hearing your sudden act. “We will continue the performance,” You try to act bold. “We’ll perform a song of smiles and wonder. No matter how dark it seems, we will continue bringing smiles!”

Tsukasa laughs, “Of course! Our smiles with bring back the colorful wonderous lights once more! That is the power of smiles after all!”

Tsukasa holds your hand.

“Young mage, please guide everyone’s smiles and sing with us!” Tsukasa asks you. So I’ll act as a mage now, you think.

Emu jumps up, “Yay! Yay! Let us all have a wonderful performance! Come on, lovely lady!” She calls out to Nene.

“Of course, I also came here to bring smiles to others after all.” She replies.

Rui turns to you and points at your hand. You were still holding the strange object he gave you.

Huh? Is this part of the show after all? You think to yourself.

You hold out the strange star shaped object as Emu and Nene start humming the song intro.

“It’s showtime!”

A sudden spark comes out from the object you held. It shoots up into the air and creates a beautiful firework.

The music and stage lights start coming back as the audience claps and cheers and sings along.

You turn to smile at Tsukasa and Rui and they smile back.

“Everyone! Sing and smile with us to your heart’s content, alright?” Tsukasa shouts. You can hear him echo through the speakers across Phoenix Wonderland.

“These shows are so amazing as always!” You think without realizing you said it aloud. You hear Tsukasa and Rui chuckle softly.

“That was so amazing! You really surprised me, you know!” You run up to your two most favorite actors.

“Did you like our little surprise then?” Rui smiled.

“That was all my idea! But everyone did help plan it all out,” Tsukasa wraps his arm around you.

“You were all so amazing! It was incredible!” You gave the biggest smile to them.

“You’re acting was amazing too! You don’t perform in front of others so it was really astounding!” Tsukasa sounded really proud. It made you even happier.

“That firework was also really cool! Was that all timed?”

“Fufufu,” Rui chuckled. “Actually, I programmed it to set off when it hears the line, ‘It’s showtime.’ Tsukasa told me it would make a great timing to do something cool at that part along with the lights and everything. Emu gave the firework idea.”

“Nene also suggested singing the intro too! I thought it was a fantastic idea,” Tsukasa added.

“What was the occasion, though? You don’t make such big and flashy performances everyday.” You asked.

Tsukasa laughed as Rui explained, “It was to thank you. You’ve been working hard for us, even overexerting yourself sometimes just to help with our shows.”

You look down at your feet, feeling your face get red, “That’s nothing... naturally I’d wanna help the people I care and love.”

Tsukasa patted your head endearingly, “So it’s natural for us too, isn’t it? Let us give you smiles just as you gave us.”

You look up at the both of them, showing you such kind and caring faces that are quite different from the ones they show others. You three all care about each other. You know that. You’d all go to great lengths to see each other smile. That’s why they did this for you, since you’ve worked so hard to make them smile too.

“Yeah... yeah, of course.”

You all laugh sweetly together.

“Thanks, you two. This show was the best show I’ve ever seen.”

“Thank you for giving us the ability to make these wonderful shows.”

My boi StarShade, star seeker frametype by @dimorphodon-x. He's the smaller assassin type.

Gave up on trying to draw him properly so just went straight for the colors. Had no idea how to choose them so just used this palette generator. Might dull/darken the blue later but for now that's it.

More info below (not all that much, it's the first time I have name+design before story and background), cursed meme for those who manage to get till the end:

For now his story is kinda backwards - I know that eventually he ends up in a dance group Neon Shadows (based on groups like MPLUSPLUS or Light Balance, more on NS hopefully later) but before that happens I need to marinate him in some good 'ol character developing angst.

Ghost, shadow, phantom, cryptid, camo... many terms for just one guy with one neat outlier ability - super stealth. Combine it with being a massive fraggin liar and you get Starshade.

Idk yet who found and onlined him, what they needed him for and how he was trained. But I do know he lies amazingly and casually so much that not even a lie detector can get him. Because of that he gets tied up in the war as a spy. Doesn't matter for which side 'cuz then he becomes a double spy. Then triple and quadruple and and and in the end you don't know who's side he's really on.

He doesn't know either, nor does he care. All he cares about is himself and to steer all trouble away, to confuse others and manipulate the situation in such way that he's never the suspect.

At first he doesn't care how much chaos he causes as long as the consequences don't reach him. But after some decisions that fucked over some peeps he didn't want to get fucked over he does some thinking and decides to de-escalate conflicts instead of escalating them. Basically he figures he just wants the war to end now more than ever.

Because of his job he's a loner, which is a shame 'cuz he's very sociable and loves hanging out with others. And dancing. He loves music and dance. Sadly he can never be completely honest with others and never feels like he truly belongs to any group.

Eventually I want him to have a stealth car bf and also get him adopted by a flock of stealth seekers. And then join the Neon Shadows. Surely they won't regret taking in an ex-spy-but-acc-just-a-liar-coward-traitor. What can possibly go wrong? You can't tell me those golden eyes can lie. Surely his past won't come to bite him in the aft.

Ahem anyway...

His super stealth includes:

engine and ventilation are very quiet

colors can go from mostly gold/magenta to dark mode (pic above) and he prefers it that way

hard to detect by both cameras and radars

can be taken for freshly deceased even by a medic as his spark is harder to detect as well

naturally moves very quietly without even trying, may spook others by accident by just walking into a room without announcement

Giving this guy his own post because drawing him was the most yolo decision and it even turned out quite decent despite me not even trying much lol

The brush pens were super cheap and the blue one was dying from the start so yeah, idk why I decided to draw him xD First thought was to draw him in his alt, just a flat triangle with some extras. And before I knew it I was drawing this instead.

wow, i watched a clip of paramore's song for twilight and it oddly threw me into nostalgia memory mode

i was in 7th grade and i remember hearing all the girls in my class talk about twilight and so i decided to pick up a book

but it was new moon and only once was i half way into it i realized "hey this might be the 2nd book...............and why i dont know whats happening" or i figured i could assume, idk

i still really liked it and so i picked up the first book

oh FUCK i was HOOKED, i would wake up at 4 am before school just to read!!!!!! I also had just discovered nico nico douga and so i would play the medley songs and read fjdsklfjsl

i mentioned i would wake up to read and teachers thought i was a smart kid finally but little did they know i was just reading twilight

then i would search fanart or anything i could to get visuals since the movie was only announced and no previews released

i found stephenie meyers blog and would read whatever i could, later on I remember she had the rough draft of the only just released edward book?? I remember reading it in 2007!!! so crazy!! its like food fight (2012)

once the trailer was released, i was a bit disappointed in how they looked, much diff than how i imagined, especially jacob!!!!! idk, i thought jacob in the first movie had such a distracting wig on so i didnt like his design LOL the later movies i was like hell YES

i was a jacob girl and my mom became a edward girl after the movies

i got the first round of twilight shirt merch with alice on it and a thin ass jacket with twilight on the back. alice's hair was becoming popular and i really wanted it too. I think I ended up getting her cut but obviously her hair is styled so my hair instead just looked like an avon lotion MLM sales lady...

The next few movies my mom was actually the one who would get us midnight screening tickets with her friend. i didnt even have to ask LOL! she was so into it, such a phenomenon

afterwards we would hit the kind-of-waffle-house and try to get sleep before school. For some reason couldnt miss it even tho we were out til 2 or 3 am lol

those years were such a rough, terrible, traumatic time in my life but the obsessions and internet roaming was some of the best times and memories.

i was also into gaia and would love walking around on the world, seeing cake-kun frozen on the waterfountain in the town square, and try to make friends and get a cool avi outfit

i remember someone named super? saia neko chan or something, i always thought of the shipping company, SAIA, and now I work w receiving from SAIA LOL, not a coincidence but a funny thought

iscribble.net was also around, i would DREAM, LITERALLY DREAM, of getting the full permission of all the tools once i drew enough or something like that. I was obsessed and would also wake up at 3-4 am just to draw. I wish wish WISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had screen recorded the loading screen of my oldest draw room, "epic girls only"

we made an effort to never clear the board and let it have a history, an archive of our art. it would take foreeeeeeeeeevvvvverrrrrr but it was always so fun to watch our art over the years flash by and be erased and redrawn. there really wont be a time like that again i think, same with pretty much all the early internet era stuff like first era of youtube, tumblr, and twitter. they were just soooo different. tumblr wasnt callouty. youtube would let you edit the design of your channel like myspace and it was the best, the comments i would interact w were also different. I am now having kids today talk to my comments i made at their age on the same videos!??@?@?@ thats so crazy

a my melody opening video i commented on in 2007 or something is still up and so just a few months ago, young kids replied to the comment asking if i still am alive or old loooooooooooool so cool!!!!

Hey in very beginning of step 3 in the scene where Mr.Holden had a thought dancing on the tip of his tongue but he kept it to himself after MC and Cove were being cute (idk if it makes a difference but this is when they're dating)... Can we know what he was thinking/ wanted to say? It's been bugging me lol 

He would’ve gone into a “look how much you’ve grown”, “your dad is so proud of you”, “I’m so glad things worked out with the MC”, and etc spiel, haha. But he resisted the urge to fawn on his baby boy, at least for that scene.

If we planned to move away for college/future plans in step 3, is it implied that MC and Cove would have a long distance relationship for sure? Could MC have convinced Cove to come with them? How is the dynamic of their relationship going to be addressed in Step 4, if that makes sense? 

Cove is willing to follow the MC where they went after everything is settled for them there, and if they’re sure they want him to come! You’ll get to decide how things shook out during those transitional years just by making choices about it during the opening prologue of Step 4.

Hi! First off, how does it feel to have created one of the best games when it comes to inclusion for lbtq+ peeps? Hi, may i ask what gb patch stands for? Specifically the gb part lol

It stands for my old, silly username I used in places like Neopets as a kid, aha. The company name wasn’t super thought out since it was originally just me making VNs as a hobby. Luckily, “GB Patch” kind of seems like it could mean something reasonable, so I didn’t have to rebrand when it did become a more serious, commercial group.

If we chose to not propose to cove in the step 3 dlc would he propose or would the mc propose in step 4 or the wedding dlc? 

Yeah, you or Cove can propose in Step 4 if you’re not already engaged! The Wedding DLC takes place after the engagement so the proposal scenes aren’t there.

will you guys announce if the early access for the new game is out on patreon ? 

When beta builds of Step 4 or whatever start coming out on the Patreon we will mention it here on social media too.

Heyy I just had a quick question about Baxter if that’s okay :)?

I saw in an ask+answer that it’s possible to casually date Baxter In step 3, but what leads up to that? I have the step 3 dlc and I’ve tried playing them In a different orders and ways but it doesn’t seem to get anywhere ^^;

The Step 3 DLC is Cove-based because he’s the default guy. There’s a separate Baxter romance DLC that’s not out yet. That’s where you can get him to date you. I’m sorry for the confusion!

Will we ever get any LI's or side characters with physical disabilities or deformities? I think your games would be a great place to have them in since they're always so accepting and safe! 

Yeah, we do hope to have representation for that in future projects ^^. Thank you for the confidence in us.

Is it possible to get Cove to take the bed and MC to sleep on the floor? 

Not in Step 3, I’m afraid.

So, I have played the prologue of Our Life countless times and I haven't gotten the [Your Life] achievement, why is that? 

Steam sometimes isn’t connected properly when an achievement unlocks and so it remains locked on your account. If that happens, unfortunately getting the scene again won’t unlock it. The achievement becomes inaccessible because the game thinks you already have it. Playing with the same Steam account on a different device or fully deleting your game data (more than the only the save files) are the only work arounds we’ve found.

Since when you talk with Jeremy in step 3 it's mentioned he goes on dates with someone (which assume is JB because who else would take this boy on dates) that makes him happy, does that sort of make JB and Jeremy the canon relationship in the first game?

The default for XOXO Droplets is that JB casually goes on dates with each of the jerks! Shiloh would’ve been harsher if Jeremy was the only guy getting her attention, haha. But the player can change that default by dating just one person the whole game for their own story and who she ends up with for real has no default.

Managed to get several people to join team Cove, so that's very exciting, I always have people to fawn over him with. I have a little question and I'm sorry if it was asked before, but does it ever come up in the game what Cove has told his mom about us? (who knows, with so many options, one can miss it) Or, alternatively, will it come up in the Step 4 DLC?

Kyra is willing to keep her mouth shut and Cove isn’t gonna have that conversation either. At least not when he’s younger, but yes, perhaps when he’s a fully grown big boy in Step 4 you can ask him about it.

I’ve been thinking about this ever since it has been confirmed that there would be two love interests for OL2, would there be the possibility of forming a polyamorous relationship with both love interests? I’m sorry if you answered this previously, I’m just curious. 

We are considering it, but it’s not a guarantee yet. It’d be really great to have but it’d add so many extra alterations that’d need to made, aha.

Hello! You mentioned how Cove would be uncomfortable with kids at 23, but how old would he be when he’s comfortable with having/adopting kids? (Same goes for the other LI’s.) btw, love your game!! 

He’d want to be at least 25, but even older would be good. Derek would want to have kids when he and his partner could reasonably support them, the age itself wouldn’t matter. If they were doing good at 22 and wanted kids, he’d be up for it. Or they could wait until their 30s or whatever. Baxter is also more of a “when it feels right” guy rather than having a specific age requirement. Cove is just especially wary of being a young parent because of his own parents. I’m happy you like the game!

does step 4 immediately play after you press "end summer" in step 3? or is there another button/transition (like the story text thingy) before the epilogue begins? what happens after the epilogue? roll credits? 😂 

Step 4 will have transition section always and there will be an extra button, if you own the Derek or Baxter DLC. By default the Cove-based version of Step 4 just plays once Step 3 is over. However, having the other guys’ storylines will mean you get to pick which version of Step 4 plays; Cove Step 4 (the basic one), Derek Step 4, or Baxter Step 4.

Happy pride month! Unfortunately, Our Life isn’t available for Mac on Steam right now. To be an approval application Apple requires having special notarization and we as a small group haven’t gotten that. Itch doesn’t care and lets us release the game for Mac there anyway, Steam does care so we’re locked out of putting the Mac build up on their storefront. Why did Baxter not receive a step 2 sprite seeing how he shows up later

Sprites are time consuming to draw and take money out of the budget that could’ve gone to other things. His tiny appearance in Step 2 wasn’t worth all the effort to make a sprite, aha.

I just realized, what happens if if you get the patreon exclusive moment but at a later date, when you don't have the membership anymore, it's updated (like a bugs fix update for example)? Would you have to get the membership again? 

You would have to get the membership again to redownload the build. But there’s very little chance there’s going to be an update once it’s been out for over a month. If a build gets released with errors, players catch/report them within the first few days. So by the time the first subscription period ends, any problems that were noticeable would already have been fixed. And we’re certainly not gonna be adding new content to it once it’s been released for a long time. There’s no need to worry about missing out on something worthwhile in the future if you cancel your membership. It’s being made with the idea in mind that many players are gonna be getting it and then going.

Hello! Wanted to ask about gaming choice in step 3? Once upon a playthorugh I got the option to buy Cove a bracelet for his graduation present. I played the same basic character again and that option wasn't there anymore. I'm not sure where I went wrong. My Cove wears a bracelet on each hand and my MC is into fashion and jewelry. Do I need to put an earring on him or? Sorry, love your game so much. 

He also needs to have liked bracelets in Step 2 for that to be considered a good gift option for him. Sorry for the confusion! I’m happy you love the game :)

I’m not sure. Ideally they’ll come out at the same time, but the wedding DLC has a lot of art to get done and we may have to release it after Step 4.

I don’t think so. Maybe that’ll change, but generally there’s differences to the Step 3 ending if you were dating Baxter and those differences likely will conflict with getting the Cove confession.

My goal for this week! + a few announcements!

So, I’m starting another job next week. Yes! I Laura am not just employed after months of not being employed, but I am double employed with 2 amazing jobs. 

Also, on top of that I am applying for another job in another country, my goal is to leave in February just in time for my birthday. But yeah, the process is long and tedious, so I will also be using my free time for that. 

With that being said, my time to write is very limited. So, I am finding small pockets of time to write. Which means that instead of uploading any drabble game prompts. I am putting that on a hold until I have no idea. I want to focus my attention on longer fics, and probably series’. Also I am going to try to upload once a week every week, but I know myself and I know when I need to take breaks. Especially now, that I am starting a bunch of new chapters. So, yeah you might not always get an upload every week. 

So for my goals this week: 

Finish payment due! I only have the epilogue to write. 

So far, I am 400 words in lol. but knowing myself I’ll get surge of energy randomly and end up writing like 5000 words in under 2hrs. I blame my English major training lol.

Start Outlining last part of Illicit Affairs

By popular demand and because this fic is BEGGING to be written this is my top priority next to Payment Due! epilogue. In my brain, and I don’t know how I have not forgotten. But I legit know what is meant to be happening next and ya’ll I can’t wait to actually have it come to life right before me. 

Start outlining rockstar Taehyung fic. 

I don’t know what I am going to do for this fic. BUT PLS BLAME THAT BUTTER  PHOTOSET. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP PROPERLY SINCE. 

That means that this might not be the fic you get next week. Unless I have an epiphany and wake up in the middle of the night with an amazing idea. Yes, most of my fics are dreams first idk y’all. 

Start outlining bookstore namjoon fic.

Truthfully, I have the first part of this written and the rest outlined. It’s going to me bumpy ride. Full of angst, unrequited love. Mutual pining. Friends to lovers. Ya kno the whole nine yards. 

I do have this thing I wrote. I found it in my notes app and it’s a Yoongi fic idea I had. I’m not sure about that one. I’m thinking about uploading it to see if people are interested in seeing what happens but yeah. 

Start outlining the rest of Light A Flame 

I’ve legit had this fic idea in my docs for so long. I know where I want to take it and I know that it won’t be a series but just a really long fic. That’s why I have been hestitant to write it cause I know it will take me a few weeks to get it done.

But anyway I want to get the main points down. And then start working on it and let it take me where it needs to take me. 

Lastly, because this can be done in any kind of free time. I will start uploading my fics on AO3. I legit once did this under 3 hours when I deleted my old blog. I think I can get it done this week.

Okay, settle in this is going to be a long post lol

Tell us about your current project(s)  – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?

I have about twenty WIPs running at any one time but I'll focus on the last two I've been working on recently :)

1. Everybody Wants You

It's a lokius fanfic with an au setting, cos I'm a sucker for these two and au's in general lol

I ranted about and posted a few scenes of the fic already. You can find my rant here and some scenes here, but basically Mobius and Loki are best friends and colleagues who think their love is unrequited (it's not, but they're idiots) and don't want to risk losing their best friend over their feelings. Mobius decides he needs some space from Loki, to hopefully get a hold on his growing jealousy, and Loki promptly becomes a mess about it.

I have almost completely finished the second half of the fic, which is from Loki's perspective, and am working on the beginning, which is from Mobius's perspective. I know it's probably weird to start in the middle of a story but I had several scenes perfectly imagined and rather than get stuck trying to write the start, I just wrote and it worked lol

My favourite thing about the fic is actually my attempt to translate the temporal prison scene from episode 4, where Sif repeatedly beats the crap out Loki, into the setting of the fic. I had so much fun writing it and I think it's hilarious (idk about anyone else lol). In my fic, rather than a temporal prison, Loki is trapped in a bathroom with Sif on the other side. I also really loved writing the sibling dynamic between Loki, Sylvie and Thor. I will die for this sibling dynamic tbh.

2. The Raft

This is a winterbaron fic and is a canon divergence AU. I have also ranted about this idea before lol You can find it here, but basically Bucky gets sent to the Raft between Endgame and tfaws, pending his pardon, and is placed in a cell opposite Zemo. They end up becoming reluctant friends, because what else there to do on the Raft. There is also a shit ton of sexual tension, but have yet to decide whether I will progress onto smut lol I am super tempted though.

I have the the first two chapters down and some random scenes. It still definately a WIP but it's coming along.

I love how it feeds the sexual tension and relationship between Bucky and Zemo in tfaws. Like Bucky chose to involve Zemo because he knows him. Bucky knew how to help him escape because he knows the security weakness from his time there. Zemo is overly touchy with Bucky and Bucky lets him because of that strange unresolved tension left over from their time on the Raft. Idk I just love it.

What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)

There are so many but this one just haunts me, and I honestly can't think of a fic to write in and that kills me. I just want sleepy Loki and morning cuddles, is that so much to ask. So here's the scene.

Loki generally hated mornings.

He wasn’t a morning person at all.

But this morning was pretty nice, he decided sleepily, pushing his face against his nice, warm pillow that smelled ridiculously good.

Someone stroked his head, fingers raking pleasantly against his scalp. “It’s almost ten already, Loki. Wake up.”

“No,” Loki mumbled.

A soft chuckle. “Then at least let me go.”

Loki frowned and opened his eyes blearily. He found himself looking at a wide, toned chest, which he’d apparently been using as a pillow.

Loki blinked, thought for a moment, and then closed his eyes again. There would be plenty of time to get worked up about it later. Now he felt too damn good and sleepy to feel much of anything else.

“Loki.”

“Go away, Mobius,” Loki muttered.

“It’s kind of hard when you’re sprawled all over me,” Mobius said, his voice extremely dry.

Loki sighed, and then lifted his head a little. He glared sleepily at Mobius, who was looking at him with faint amusement.

“I didn’t know you were a cuddler,” Mobius said with a smirk. “I couldn’t breathe when I woke up.”

Loki wanted to flip him the bird, but it would be too much of an effort—and Loki felt ridiculously distracted by all the warm, golden skin and bed-hair.

Loki groaned and dropped his head back on Mobius’s chest.

“What is it?” Mobius said, threading his fingers through Loki’s hair.

“It's really quite unbecoming that you look so good in the morning," Loki grumbled.

What’s the story idea you’ve had in your head for the longest?

The reason I created this blog is because I got this one winterbaron fic idea and then became obsessed with the ship. Yet, I still haven't written it. Idk why, I just can't.

The story is basically another au (cos I'm such a sucker for them) where Bucky decides to go to a bar and drink his sorrows away after his best friend/friends with benefits/I guess now ex-boyfriend announces he's getting married. There he meets Zemo, who of course offers to be his rebound after listening to his tale of woe. This then leads to "please be my date for the wedding events," which of course Zemo agrees to do. Who loves drama as much as Zemo, am I right? Fake dating/support for a shitty time however leads to romance and happily ever afters. Bucky deserves that.

so there was a post from a manga blog on fb about kaze hikaru and yona of the dawn being republished, the op said that there’s a high chance that KH is going to be republished from start to end (vol 1-45), i scrolled through the comments and saw a ss of the official copyright website (idk) of our country, (basically if u want to publish sth, you’ll have the book’s info logged on the page) and there was KH vol 36-45 in the ss. (background info: kh was published three times in vn already, the 1st was from vol 1-18, 2nd was 1-25 and 3rd was 1-35, so the new republished version will be the continued for the third version) SO TECHNICALLY, the chance of KH being released is 100%, even though there haven’t been an official announcement from the publishing company

Hi so I think there’s a fix where mr. Mellark like takes in katniss when she’s young (I don’t think prim existed in the story but I could be wrong) and she grows up with the Mellarks but I can’t remember?? If not maybe some recs along those lines

the HALO: INFINITE gameplay preview was AMAZING!

*Disclaimer: This blog post is my opinion on the matter. If you have a different opinion on it, I respect it all the same. A large chunk of the screenshots used were from the Halo Infinite Gameplay Trailer*

MABUHAY everyone and welcome to my corner of the internet!

It finally dropped. After a year of waiting in baited breath. Microsoft dropped their Halo: Infinite gameplay. They did it during their XboxGamesShowcase which aired live on 24th July 2020. It wasn’t a surprise that the first thing they featured was Halo. Besides it being a console exclusive. Halo is one of the few games that dropped a trailer that revived my love for the game. If you’re not familiar with the announcement trailer, you can find it here.  

So before I fully geek out on this game, I’ll explain why the announcement trailer was a huge deal. You see after Bungie passed the torch onto 343 Industries, Halo was at it’s peak. (except for the failed MCC launch but we won’t go into that). For the longest time, Bungie was the sole proprietor of Halo and they called the shots. So it was a fond farewell when they announced that they were leaving, making Halo: Reach a heartfelt goodbye. Bungie pulled the cord by leaving us with a masterpiece. A game that goes full circle, a prologue to the entire series. Having played Halo CE (Combat Evolved), 2, and 3, it gave me such chills. I don’t care what people say with the gun design choices, Halo: Reach strikes a chord in my heart like no other game.

This is the reason why a lot of fans were skeptical about 343 industries touching such a precious project. Everyone felt like it was a fitting end but I guess money comes first for Microsoft. A majority of fans were disappointed with Halo 4. They revamped everything, EVERYTHING. From the armor choice to enemy design. It was like they tarnished the IP that Bungie curated so hard to perfect. You can argue that they were trying to make the game theirs but that’s moot. The game already has an established fanbase. If you suddenly change everything just to make it seem like the idea was yours, that’s disrespectful. I don’t even want to talk about Halo 5: Guardians. The lore was just thrown outta the window. Imagine putting the Arbiter in the game AND NOT HAVING HIM MEET CHIEF? Such a wasted opportunity.

If it wasn’t obvious yet, I no longer followed Halo after that abysmal display. I’m sure other people chose to not follow the timeline anymore which in turn would cause for sales to dip. That’s why I’m glad that when they released the Announcement Trailer, they managed to blend their design choices with Bungie’s. What came out was a “Old meets New” type of design and honestly, it brought a tear to my. Especially when the piano chords struck of the Halo CE theme. Plus, seeing that halo ring? CHILLS. I played the Original version of Halo CE so the callback was simply wicked. That’s why I’ll be comparing a lot of the released Halo Infinite gameplay to Halo CE. You’ll understand why soon enough.

“As Chief drops in, he immediately has his trusty Assault Rifle with him”

The Assault Rifle which has the same design as the Halo Reach one. That was a +1 in my book. Oh and this takes place on a Halo Ring so another 1000+ points in my book. 

The gun sounds were okay, they sound pretty standard and I’m fine with them.

“Chief opens a Map showing important locations, upgrades, and database.”

So I was a bit surprised when a map was pulled up. Idk about Halo 5 but the other Halo games had NO maps available. Mostly because the level design previous games had were more of a linear type of story telling. EXCEPT Halo Combat Evolved. I remember playing the first level of Halo CE and I was confused as hell. I mean, I almost kept running around in circles just trying to find where the next objective might be. By the looks of this map, it seems Halo Infinite might be going the same route as it’s ancestor (Halo CE and Halo 3: ODST). A semi-open world map where you can carry out objectives the way as you please. Keep in mind this is speculation my part but if it turns out to be like that then...

“Chief has a grappling apparatus and pulls himself towards an armored Brute.”

“Chief uses his grappling apparatus to reach high places and scale past obstacles like a steep mountain side”

“Chief uses his grappling apparatus to pull an explosive barrel towards himself and proceeds to toss it at a mounted plasma machine gun.”

This grappling apparatus is such a HUGE addition to Chief’s mobility. In partner with armor abilities, this can seriously open up wondrous new avenues at how you can tackle each objective. Not to mention it pushes you to think more outside the box and use the environment as your advantage. Of course, if something like this is added, there’s a possibility for the combat to be more stressful. It doesn’t matter tbh as long as it’s fun!

“Chief equipped with what seems to be a shotgun/bruteshot looking gun while activating an objective ping that alerts the location of objectives onto his HUD.”

The Shotgun/Bruteshot gun looks like a cool gun to play with! From my observation, it fires slugs rather than scatter shots. Making it more precise more precise than the standard UNSC shotgun. Also observed are small marks on the HUD that points where an objective might be accomplished.

“From this shot it seems that Chief activates a modified Z-4190 Temporal Protective Enfolder/Stationary Shield originally found in Halo 3.”

The reason why I speculate it’s a modified “bubble” shield is because of the shape of the device tossed onto the ground. Plus the main enemy of the game are called the “Banished”. Which are basically a covenant group that were shunned from the original crusade. A large portion of their ranks are allegedly Brutes and Brutes were the ones carrying the “bubble” shield in the third game.

I obviously won’t end the blog post without talking about this particular shot. A lot of people were egging on 343 Industries because of this scene right here. They kept talking about how the game is lacking in textures. There are multiple reasons why the insults aren’t justified and here’s some of them:

This gameplay trailer might be a demo reel from an earlier build. That means that 343 is currently developing the game and this is the left over content that they could show at the time. I’m half expecting them to suddenly wow us so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. 

This game needs to run with backwards compatibility and cross-platform AT THE SAME TIME. Aka, it wants to be three things at once; Be available for an older gen of consoles, run on the new gen, and perform well on PC. So I can excuse if the game doesn’t have groundbreaking graphics like TLOU2, RDR2, and Uncharted 4. It needs to be a decent shooter game and that’s what it’s trying to achieve.

As a Halo fan who lost faith in the franchise, I can honestly say Job Well Done to 343 Industries. They’ve managed to bring a spark back into my heart and I will surely play this one. I look forward to see what more they have to offer and I’m genuinely excited for when they release the game.

Summary: Jupiter (Lola & Tommy’s kid) and Penny (Charlotte & Razzle’s kid) find some old home movies, and watch some old interviews on YouTube. This should be fine, right? Definitely not going to be a sad trip down memory lane.

A/N: I write for 3 people apparently; me, @missleenmilliet, and that one anon who was invested in Gabs’ blog abt these gals. But also fuck i love writing this, it’s so angsty and i love family dynamics and also insights into Lola and Tommy’s relationship post-kid but when they’re not together..... idk im a mess abt this.

The label on the video tape reads 'Christmas 1991' in Tommy's messy handwriting, and Jupiter doesn't quite know what possess them, but they put the tape in and press play.

"What'd you find?" Penny asks, looking up from a box of old notebooks that she'd been poring over, intrigued to hear the television start up.

"Home movies, I think."

“Hi Lily-pad,” the woman in the video looks and sounds like their mother, but so bright and young, and Jupiter is frozen, eyes glued to the screen. 

They watch the recording, as a young child with dark hair and dark eyes runs into frame, almost barreling Lola over. The kid couldn’t be more than three or four, waddling, with hair so long it had to be put in braids, or it would be an untamable nightmare. Lola drops the duffle bag she'd been holding in favour of scooping up the kid, the young Jupiter, grinning so wide, so bright, kissing all over their face as they giggle, “I’ve missed you so much!” Lola exclaimed, and hugs the kid close, and the kid hugs her back.

“Momma!” The kid snuggles against Lola, smiling, “daddy, you were right!” They turn to look at whoever's behind the camera, and Lola's expression turns fond, her gaze focused on the child.

“Of course, Lily-pad, wouldn’t miss this for the world!” Lola assured them, holding their daughter in one arm, refusing to put them down, she bends to pick up her bag before finally turning her gaze to the camera, and her already bright smile widens.

"Where'd you find that old thing?" Lola asks, and young Jupiter's looking at the person behind the camera with a smile.

"Garage," comes Tommy's reply, and he steps forward when Jupiter makes insistent grabby-hands at the lense, and Tommy lets her take a hold on the camera, though his gentle 'careful, Liss' could still be heard, and full of curiosity, the toddler presses her face against the camera lense, much to Lola and Tommy's amusement. 

"I forgot how cute you were back then," Penny nudges Jupiter in the ribs, the two of them side-by-side on the floor of Tommy's garage, having dusted off the old VCR and home movies. 

"I don't remember this," Jupiter’s voice is quiet and they can't seem to look away. 

The video follows as the trio walk through the halls of Tommy's mansion, the very building they were staying in now.

"How are Nikki and Mick?" Tommy asks, quick to add, "and Alice, of course." 

"They're good, Nikki's doing really well, Alice especially has been super supportive, and Mick…" she trails off for a moment, "Mick is Mick." Is all she can offer, but Tommy seems to get it, enough to at least laugh.

"What are they doing today? We could have invited them."

"Nikki's fine, he sends his love by the way, he's hanging out with Slash and his missus, and a couple of other guys from the band; their kid's almost Penny's age, how wild is that?" Lola asks, and Tommy makes a noise in the back of his throat. "No, Duff won't be there," Lola knows without even having to hear his complaint, what's set him off on a mood. "He's holidaying in Australia this year."

"Hope he gets sunburnt," Tommy grumbles, "or eaten by a shark."

"Tommy…"

"Whatever, doesn't matter anyways, how are you? What have you been up to?" He asks, and they're in the living room now, and the camera catches it as Jupiter scampers from Lola's arms and heads into the bustling kitchen, announcing her arrival.

"I've been busy, of course, with the Alice collaboration, and I've been looking at renting a bigger office, hiring some interns," she sounds a little proud, and Tommy sets the camera down; neither are in frame.

"Really moving up in the world," Tommy's smile is clear in his voice.

"And, uh," Lola hesitates, and there's rustling like she's digging in her pockets, "ninety days." She says quietly, finally, and a silence follows.

"I'm so proud of you, dude, that's awesome." Tommy's voice is muffled, like he's speaking into her hair, and then there's movement from the camera as he's picking it up, focusing it on a mildly embarrassed Lola.

"I'm commemorating this moment;" Tommy told her, and Lola can't help her little, embarrassed smile as she holds up the little 90 Days Sober chip, "Merry Christmas, Lols, I'm so damn proud."

The video roughly cuts to a shot of Tommy in front of the Christmas tree, frowning at the camera, before double checking it was stable. When he moves away, the rest of the room is revealed. Tommy's parents sit on the sofa, watching young Jupiter, and what can only be a young Penny diligently shaking presents with their names on it. 

Penny is almost six, strikingly blonde, and looks like a young woman on a mission, methodically going through all of her presents and trying to hear what was inside. Jupiter, however, watches Penny pick up a present, and follows suit, too young to read, to know if their name's on it, and when Penny shakes her present, Jupiter copies her tenuously, not quite grasping what they were doing. Penny catches the way Jupiter's watching her, and then looks at the present. 

"That's not yours," Penny tells Jupiter, and gently takes the small box from her, "that's for Nana." And she puts it back beneath the tree, scouring the pile of presents, before she finds a small, soft, strangely shaped one and hands it to Jupiter. "This is for you." And she says it so matter-of-factly. Jupiter shakes it, confused, watching Penny for approval. "Can you hear what's inside?" Penny asks, and Jupiter shakes her head, looking a little concerned, as if she'd done something wrong. 

"Well then why don't you open it up and see what's inside?" Lola offers, stepping into frame and sitting by the Christmas tree. Jupiter tears into the paper like a wild animal, and for a moment they're turned away, before they go still.

"He's got sticks like daddy," and they sound overjoyed, turning to excitedly show their grandparents the teddy bear wearing a black t-shirt with the Theatre of Pain mask on it, holding two plush drumsticks. 

"And Penny, I know you're a bit old for bears," Lola started tentatively, reaching for a similarly shaped package near the base of the tree, handing it over to the blonde girl, "but your dad was a drummer too, just like your uncle." And Penny's far more subdued than Jupiter, who's climbed into her Grandfather's lap and started to air drum with the bear, already seemingly forgetting the rest of the room.

Penny's bear has a little, black tophat, and a black shirt with the cover of Hanoi Rocks' first album, 'Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks' printed on it, and two little drumsticks. The bear is smiling. 

"We match!" Jupiter exclaims, upon seeing Penny's bear, but Penny herself doesn't seem to notice, just gives Lola a tight hug. 

“Oh,” it was Penny’s turn to go soft, in the present, watching the surprisingly high-quality recording of something she hadn’t even realise she would remember, “I’ve still got that bear somewhere.”

“I don’t.” Jupiter sounds like they regret that, “when I was twenty-something, you remember I burnt all the shit that Lola ever gave me.”

“Yeah, I remember your Y2k party.”

“I miss that bear,” Jupiter admits, almost inaudibly. 

They watch as the family opens Christmas presents together, the girls getting a range of toys and clothes, all in pinks, purples, and blacks. Penny gets a set of glow in the dark stars for the ceiling of her room, and Jupiter gets a plush planet in tie-dyed neon purple.

And then there’s another cut, a strange angle, like the camera’s set on a coffee table, catching the side-profile of the piano and stool beside it. Lola’s sitting on said stool, watching Tommy as he makes sure the camera’s recording. She looks at Tommy with a quiet happiness, almost like she was content; with ankles crossed, wearing a thick, knitted sweater, she looks, for lack of a better word, domesticated. 

Tommy looks back at her, and for just a moment, he pauses.

“What?” Lola half laughs, sounding more gentle than she’d usually ever let herself sound on camera.

“You just look really good,” Tommy grins, “healthy and shit; you look like you’re doing good.” After a moment, there comes a quiet giggle from off camera, and both Tommy and Lola turn, grinning. 

It’s Penny and Jupiter, and Jupiter sits in Lola’s lap, and Tommy scoops up Penny and sits her in his lap when he joins Lola by the piano. The two dutifully inform the pair by the piano that Grandma and Grandpa Bass have gone upstairs to take a nap, and that they had been very well tucked in and kissed goodnight. It’s almost painfully adorable.

And Lola’s hands come up to the keys, and Jupiter uses her arms like armrests, and asks what’s happening.

“It’s tradition,” Penny tells her matter-of-factly, and Tommy presses a kiss to the top of his niece's head before agreeing.

“It’s a Christmas present I gave your mommy a long time ago,” Tommy told Jupiter, who was watching as Lola carefully played a few scales.

“A piano?” Jupiter asked, and Lola laughed gently, her fingers stilling for a moment.

“No, Lily-pad, he gave me the chance to get back to doing something I loved,” she said gently, before her fingers found the opening chords for Home Sweet Home. When Lola sings it, it sounds like a lullaby, and Tommy holds little Penny, watching in quiet awe. 

“You know I'm a dreamer, but my heart's of gold, I had to run away high, so I wouldn’t come home low,” her voice catches, and Tommy fills in, matches her tone, her gentle singing, and Jupiter looks up at him, eyes bright and full of wonder as the song turns to a quiet duet between their parents.

And in the present, Jupiter doesn’t realise they’re crying until they feel the tear tracks beginning to dry on their cheeks.

“She always played that one,” Jupiter scrubs almost angrily at their cheeks, as if trying to erase the proof of their emotions before anyone could accuse them of having any of them. When all they hear is a choked noise beside them, they turn and Penny’s silently sobbing, not even trying to hide her tears.

“I- I forgot, f... fuck.” And then she’s fumbling, pulling out her phone, clicking and typing before pulling up a YouTube video.

HANOI ROCKS Razzle Dingley & Charlotte Lee Cutest Moments the title reads, and Penny flicks through to about the two minute mark. It’s an interview, the footage grainy, but Charlotte and Razzle are side by side on a sofa, his hand on her knee, and the pair look so elated. 

“So do you, what do you put on for your daughter to go to sleep to? Is she nodding off to like, Motley Crue’s Kick Start My Heart? or Razzle, is she more of a Boulevard of Broken Dreams girl?” The reporter asks, tone light and a little teasing, and Penny’s parents laugh in the recording, and they catch how Razzle tips his head to lean against Charlotte just a little more.

“Pennylope’s gonna grow up to be a real rock an’ roller, I can tell you that, she’ll know all the words to my songs before she knows mam or dad, I’ll bet,” Razzle grins and it’s all teeth, but Charlotte doesn’t seem inclined to disagree.

“I tried to change her while listening to a demo of their new album, and she just wouldn’t stop dancing,” Charlotte adds, before her grin turns a little mischevious, “don’t tell Tommy I said this, but Motley’s stuff scares her half to death; I put on Shout at the Devil the other day and she started bawling her eyes out.” Which sets Razzle off laughing, nodding, and Charlotte tucks her arm in his; they’re almost sickeningly cute. Sitting like this, the studio lights catch the glint of their respective wedding rings.

“No, no, tell ‘em about that cute thing, though,” Razzle urges, nudging Charlotte’s knee, “tell ‘em about the Motley song she likes.”

“The one,” Charlotte emphasizes with a laugh, but obliges, “so yeah, there’s this one song she does like, and it’s one I’m quite fond of -”

“You’re biased,” Razzle goads her fondly, and Charlotte rolls her eyes.

“Am not -”

“Your cousin wrote it!”

“Co-wrote it! And that doesn’t make it less cute.”

“It is pretty fuckin’ cute.” Razzle agrees, and shuts up enough for Charlotte to actually finish the story, though he’s got this starry-eyed gaze the whole time.

“So Tommy and Nikki wrote this, actually partially for me and for, uh, not exactly sure what to call her, Lola, their assistant manager, I guess? Who they were sort of dating? It’s a whole things, but we’d all just been having an atrocious time on tour in like, eighty-two, all ready to go home, and I remember one night just seeing Lola and Nikki curled up at the back of the tour bus, Lola was almost asleep, and Nikki was being like,” she laughs, “uncharacteristically cute, saying stuff like, ‘not long now ‘till we’re home sweet home’ and I just remember Tommy absolutely just taking that phrase and running with it.” She takes a breath now, seeming much more gentle and honest, fidgeting a little, “and we just, it just sort of became an anthem between the four of us, a signal, like a little thing we’d start to hum if we were feeling homesick or needed some comfort, it wasn’t a romantic thing, it was just a need for human contact and connection, you know, a bat-signal for ‘I’m having a shit time please come hug me’.” Though she laughs, it’s far more honest than she’d probably intended, and it seems to occur to her as she takes a deep, shaking breath, just how honest she’s allowed herself to be. After a beat, she swallows heavy, tentatively humming the opening notes of the song, before looking to the camera, and then to Razzle. Her humming goes quiet. He drops a kiss to her shoulder in silent solidarity.

“Just, you know, just take this song and you’ll never feel left all alone,” she quotes the song, looking back at the camera as she smiles softly, and her hand moves to hold Razzle’s, “and when I hear that, it’s my family, like my real family with Tommy, and my band family, giving me support, and it reminds me every time Nic’s on tour that he’ll be back soon, and it’s the support I wanna give my daughter, my little Pennylope. That I’ll never be too far away.” She says with such heartfelt sincerity, before she laughs a little, and the interview cuts to a new clip in a jarring fashion, but Penny turns off her phone. Her hands are shaking, and she’s crying. Jupiter wraps her up in a hug.

“I just f- forgot about... we haven’t had family Christmas in so long and I just- it was their song, Jup, and now it’s our song, and I just... I miss it.” She tucks her face into the crook of Jupiter’s neck, and Jupiter has absolutely no idea what to say, knowing only that they’ve started crying again. For the longest time, they stay like that, the two of them holding each other in the dusty garage, with the home video paused in front of them. 

Neither of them have seen Lola in person for a very long time, not properly, and the premiere of The Dirt doesn’t exactly count. 

Silently, Penny moves away, moves to rewind the tape, to listen to the exchange, the song again. Jupiter is frozen, doesn’t even know what they feel, or how to process what is happening.

“It’s tradition.” Young Penny tells them both from the recording again, and she sounds so earnest it almost hurts.

“It’s a Christmas present I gave your mommy a long time ago,” Tommy, so young, so gentle and caring, smiles in the video.

“A piano?” Jupiter asked, voice high and young and curious, which makes Lola laugh, gentle and fond, a sound that makes present-day Jupiter’s heart ache.

“No, Lily-pad, he gave me the chance to get back to doing something I loved.”
