"they are paying my debts to femininity" heh so i have no clue if im interpreting this right but it makes me genuinely sick with emotion. they are paying my debts to femininity. they are taking the beautiful thing that burned me and using this thing, this beautiful thing that i loved, but hurt me, because it was not mine, and using it to mend the cracks in their hearts. they are not taking womenhood on as a burden like i would have, they have no yoke, no rope around their neck, a labor of love, but still a labor. still a fate not of joy, but pain. resintment. i did not unload my womenhood and cast off, did not discard, or disrespect. i was unshackled from my load not to leave it uncarried, but so someone, so a woman, who would, rather then be burdened by the weight of her femininity, be liberated by it, as i with her masculinity, as i when she laid it upon my shoulders from her weary back, and felt so whole, the weight not digging into my skin like the shape of what once was, so wrong for me, despite being perfectly good. it sooths my aching flesh with a pressure that matches the contor of my spine, the same that once skinned her raw, the edges lay on her back delicate and the perfect weight to releave the burn in her shoulders, the same that once dug into my flesh. neither is imperfect. neiether ever was. not me, or her, or masculinity, or femininity, the burdens to one, the freedom to the other, so listlessly fitted with equipment unqualified, so beautifully freed by each others bravery to be whole.
people on this fucking app love to see a post made by a trans woman talking about how shes treated for being masc and how awful it feels and make it about how hot they feel her with literally no fucking sense of hesitation
#bear bitch#sorryyy im off topic 💔#the original post is very important!!#please stop objectifying women!!! it doesn't matter if you're queer!!! that is misogynistic!!!#im so sorry to every woman who has to experience this. your existence and stunning bravery to be a woman should not be inherently sexual.#I'm trans masc if that context was needed lol#THANK YOU WOMEN!!!#IM SORRY WOMEN!!!#I LOVE YOU WOMEN!!!#/pla#could be because i grew up with a extremely feminist family that encouraged me to recontextualize what a woman IS#and so my perception of women has always been a thing of identity#and ot looks or expression. but a FEELING. an EXPERIENCE.#or my personal time carrying it as a burden.#but part of womenhood in my opinion is strength. you are a woman. you have been put down. hurt. abused. you have been forced into a world#that thinks of you less capable. you are fucking ALIVE and HERE and that's SO FUCKING POWERFUL#YOU ARE SO FUCKING POWERFUL!!!#you are beat down again and again and again in every battle. almost all hate comes down to your suffering and you are fucking alive.#women are art#women are warriors.#women are beautiful by virtue of their existence.#NOT attractive i am not talking about attractiveness im talking about fucking BEAUTY#like a sunset. like a lionesses rending flesh for her young. like a shewolf who cares for children with no incentive of gain. like tsunamis.#women are beautiful in the way that a star is beautiful. warm and soft and kind and also burning. writhing flames that defy your very#understanding and both at once or neither at all but still there. just not yours?? like. how there are stars you cant see. but they shine#just the same. her flame her warmth her beauty and power is not even necessarily yours to PERCEIVE!! like the 'stars you cant see' isn't#'woman aren't all for you' because NONE OF THEM ARE 'FOR' YOU. they are beauty by virtue of existence and flame by virtue of birth and you#aren't owed anything. it is a honor that you get to PERCEIVE her!#women are big and warm and fiery and vengeful and tender and powerful and SO SO FUCKING HUGE🩷🩷🩷🩷#(not in the physical sense. in like. the ponyos mom way.)

What about a fluffy shot where Azzi is a pouty mess after finding out Paige napped without her.
napgate
pairing - paige bueckers x azzi fudd
word count - 1.3k
c/w - nothing :)
a/n - working through my prompts as promised. as someone who has lots of experience in being a dramatic girlfriend, i may have projected myself into this fic a little, lol.
azzi was halfway across campus before she even realized she was speed-walking.
she’d barely survived class. barely made it through that dry-ass econ lecture without just laying her head on the desk and giving up. all she wanted—all she’d been thinking about—was going back to paige’s room, climbing into bed with her girlfriend, and napping like her life depended on it.
this was their post-practice ritual. their unspoken sacred time. snuggles, sleep, and soft music. the occasional make-out session. as paige would say, it’s fucking goated.
when azzi got to paige’s dorm, she walked right past allie in the kitchen, social battery entirely too low for anybody other than paige, and beelined for her girlfriend’s bedroom. but when she opened the door, sight that met her was not one of sleepy cuddles and open arms.
paige was awake. sitting upright at her desk. playing games on her ipad like everything was fine.
“wait,” azzi said, stopping in her tracks. “why are you awake?”
paige looked up and smiled. “hey, mama.”
“nuh-uh—why are you awake? we’re supposed to be napping.”
“i already did,” paige said, like it was casual, like it was nothing. “i laid down after chem lab. i was wiped.”
azzi blinked. stared. processed. then—
“you slept without me?”
“uh…yeah?”
“you slept without me?”
paige squinted. “are you okay?”
“babe!” azzi threw her bag down like she’d been personally victimized. “i was waiting all day for our nap! i was like, ‘this lecture sucks but it’s okay because i’ll nap with paige later’, and you already did it? without me?”
“aight, you’re dragging it,” paige said, standing now, walking over with a cautious smile. “i was just tired.”
“we were both tired!”
“baby…”
“nah, don’t ‘baby’ me. this is—this is a betrayal.”
paige stepped closer, clearly holding back a laugh. “okay. you’re right. i’m a villain.”
“you are,” azzi pouted, crossing her arms. “you left me to fend for myself. exhausted.”
“i didn’t know you were planning on coming back right after class.”
“we nap every day after class!”
“sometimes we don’t.” paige shrugged. “we didn’t talk about it this morning, so i thought…”
“it’s an unspoken thing, paige.” azzi sighs, eyebrows furrowed as she makes her best pouty face, an expression reserved exclusively for her girlfriend.
paige reached for her. “come here, drama queen.”
“no,” azzi said, turning her shoulder.
“you’re seriously mad?”
“i’m disappointed.”
“bro, that’s way worse.”
“you should feel bad.”
paige sighed and wrapped her arms around azzi anyway, tugging her into a hug she pretended not to want. “i do feel bad. i love napping with you. i missed you, mami. i swear.”
“you didn’t miss me that much if you slumped without even texting me.”
“i thought you’d be in class ‘til three.”
“i was! and now it’s three-fifteen and i’m abandoned.”
paige kissed her cheek. “come lay down. i’ll pretend to be tired again just for you.”
but azzi stepped out of her arms, eyes narrowed, full-on sulky. she was aware she was disproportionately upset. she was also aware that she was tired and probably hangry, too. that didn’t make it any easier for her to regulate her emotions, though, and thus:
“no. you made your bed. literally. and now you can lie in it. alone.”
paige blinked. “what are you saying?”
“i’m saying i’ll nap by myself, thanks.”
“wait, what?”
“i’ll be fine. totally fine. just me, my blanket, and my thoughts.”
“azzi.”
“goodbye, traitor.”
and with the dramatic flourish of a woman deeply committed to the bit, azzi turned and left paige’s room, arms crossed and jaw set. allie paused with her spoon midway to her mouth, clearly confused, but azzi ignored her. she headed straight for her own dorm without looking back.
❀❀❀
azzi curled up in her own bed like she was in exile. self-inflicted exile.
no girlfriend. no cuddles. no comfort.
just her sad pink blanket and her non-bicep pillow.
she flipped over once. then twice. then kicked the blanket off. then dragged it back on.
her room was too quiet. too cold. too wrong.
because napping alone? sucked.
it wasn’t just the lack of warmth (though her body was already missing paige’s). it wasn’t even that she felt too grumpy to relax. it was the principle of it all. the complete and utter emptiness of trying to sleep without her person.
she missed the way paige’s arms fit around her waist. the soft hum paige always made when she was drifting off. the way their legs always tangled up without trying.
and now azzi was lying here, wide awake, very much not cozy, and spiraling into her own stubbornness.
“this is stupid,” she whispered into the darkness of her dorm.
but she didn’t get up.
no. she had to mean it. she couldn’t just crawl back after throwing such a fit. she had to last at least an hour. maybe even text paige something petty like “hope ur nap was worth it.”
yeah. that would show her.
except…thirty-five minutes later, azzi was still not asleep. and worse: she’d started to feel lonely.
not just bored. not just annoyed. actually, genuinely…achey in her chest. she missed paige. like, on a spiritual level. she momentarily wondered if that was unhealthy, then disregarded it. god forbid a girl be in love.
ugh.
“fine,” she muttered.
she threw the blanket off, jammed her feet into pink fluffy slippers, and padded back down the hallway like she was walking the plank or something.
allie was still in the kitchen, and when she raised an eyebrow at azzi, she said a simple “don’t” before continuing to paige’s room.
when she reached the door, she paused. tried to school her expression. tried not to look too desperate.
but before she could knock, the door opened.
paige stood there, in pajama pants and a hoodie, holding a fuzzy blanket like she’d been waiting.
“you lasted thirty-eight minutes,” she said, smug.
“oh, really?” azzi said. “i wasn’t counting.”
“mm-hmm.”
azzi crossed her arms. “you set a trap.”
“i made the bed.”
“you knew i’d come back.”
“of course i did,” paige said, stepping aside to let her in. “you can’t nap mad. you get all huffy and lonely.”
“i do not.”
paige just raised an eyebrow.
azzi sighed. “okay, maybe i do.”
“that’s what i thought.”
the room was dim now, blinds pulled and led lights on. paige’s bed had an extra pillow and two blankets folded at the end. her spotify was already playing the soft r&b playlist they always used. azzi swore she could feel her melatonin levels rise.
“you baby-proofed the bed,” azzi mumbled.
“i azzi-proofed it. for you.”
“you’re so annoying,” she said. but she was already climbing into it.
paige followed, slipping behind her and wrapping an around her waist without hesitation. azzi let out a dramatic sigh, but melted into the touch immediately.
“still mad?” paige whispered. she shifted her free arm under azzi’s head, and she didn’t let on how pleased she was to have her bicep pillow back.
“uh-huh.”
“gonna give me the silent treatment?”
“maybe.”
paige kissed her shoulder. “you’re such a baby.”
“you like it.”
“yep. i especially like the part where you come crawling back.”
azzi turned to face her, burying her face in paige’s neck. “i wasn’t crawling.”
“riiight.”
“you missed me,” azzi accused, muffled.
“missed you so bad,” paige said, kissing the top of her head. “bed was too cold without you.”
azzi hummed, nuzzling closer. “you smell good.”
“you smell like my body wash. did you steal it again?”
“maybe.”
“mm,” paige hummed, tugging the blanket up around them.
they settled into the silence again, but this time it was warm. safe. exactly right.
“you can nap now,” azzi mumbled.
“what, you’re giving me permission?”
“yes.”
paige smiled against her hair. “thank you, princess.”
“you’re forgiven, by the way.”
“finally.”
“but don’t do it again.”
“‘wouldn’t think of it, baby.”
“swear you won’t. for real.”
“on my life.”
“you’re lucky i love you,” azzi whispered.
paige kissed her cheek. “i know i’m lucky.”
and with that, azzi finally let herself fall asleep—held tight, babied properly, grudge surrendered and balance to the universe restored.

🔍✨ Darakaraka Secrets: What Kind of Marriage Will You Have? 💍📜
Note: These are all my personal observations and patterns I've noticed over the years. Take what resonates with you more and leave the rest. Lemme know in the comments if it hits home!
Please read this: North Node involving with DK in the same house can point to marrying someone who is of a different cultural background, same-sex relations, 2nd marriage situations, marrying a widow/ divorcee, marrying with children, short-lived marriage, different religion, different social status, elopement marriage, against family wishes or just half-heartedly approve of, etc. These are all possibilities of Rahu being involved in the same house and any of the possibilities listed here might apply to some degree.
DK planet in 1st house - Spouse is likely from your own cultural background/faith unless Rahu (North Node) is involved in 1st house. If Rahu is there, it can sometimes point to an unconventional marriage, like 2nd marriage situations, different religion, marrying a divorcee, same-sex relations, etc. You choose your partner and won't listen to family members' wishes unless Saturn is in the same house or as DK planet. If Jupiter or the 9th house lord is involved, your family might choose or introduce your spouse to you, but you have the final say. If Mars is involved, it can indicate a quick marriage, and your family might or might not accept your spouse.
DK planet in 2nd house - A "family approved" or "semi-arranged marriage" where your partner fits well with your background and financial goals. If Rahu is present, it might mean your spouse comes from a different community, financial situation, or social circle, adding some excitement and variety. Mars here can bring a bit of spark or occasional disagreements around family or money, while Saturn may delay marriage but helps build a stable, long-lasting relationship and the Sun points to a status-driven marriage.
DK planet in 3rd house - You and your spouse may be like teammates, supporting each other’s goals and challenges. If Rahu is here, the marriage could be with someone unconventional or from a different cultural background. Mars adds energy and passion but can also bring occasional disagreements, while Saturn encourages patience and building a strong foundation together but can be restrictive at times if in earth signs. After marriage, you may distance yourself from your interests, hobbies or family either by choice or because of spouse. They might live in the same hometown as you. Overall, it’s a marriage built on active connection and shared experiences, not just tradition.
DK planet in 4th house - You’re likely to marry someone who brings joy, beauty, and harmony to your domestic life, think of a partner who values family and nurturing. If Venus influences this placement, expect a romantic and affectionate relationship filled with mutual care and both spending a lot together. With Sun involved, the spouse may be confident, protective, and proud, often taking a leadership role in the home, dom at times and occasionally wants things their way. Mars can add passion but also some occasional fiery arguments and one of you won't get along well with the others' family, while Saturn brings stability and commitment that deepens with time but also distant in family matters at times. Overall, it’s a marriage built on love, security, and shared happiness.
DK planet in 5th house - You’re likely to marry someone you genuinely enjoy being with, someone who feels like a best friend or creative partner. If Venus is involved, the relationship is charming, romantic, and full of sweet gestures. Sun can make the spouse proud and expressive, possibly someone in a respected or creative field. Mars adds passion and excitement but might also bring drama or quick tempers. Saturn tones things down, bringing seriousness and long-term loyalty, though it may delay marriage slightly and childbirth can be delayed as well. Overall, this is a vibrant, heartfelt, and emotionally rich marriage. Can point to a big fat Greek wedding kind of marriage.
DK planet in 6th house - A spouse who is hardworking, service-oriented, or someone you meet through your daily routine or work life. The marriage might not feel dreamy at first and it often takes effort, compromise, and maturity to make it thrive. If Venus is here, there’s potential for love and affection, but it may need more nurturing. Sun can bring a proud or authoritative spouse, possibly career-driven, in some cases, can indicate a spouse who micromanages everything. Mars may cause conflicts or power struggles if ego isn’t kept in check, while Saturn indicates a marriage that can be restrictive or loss of freedom in some way. Overall, it’s a realistic, grounded type of marriage that's less about fairytales, more about building something solid through shared effort. This can point to a marriage in the city, crowded areas, etc.
DK planet in 7th house - You tend to attract a spouse who balances or complements you in some way. If Venus is involved, the marriage is loving, romantic, and emotionally fulfilling. With the Sun, the partner may be confident, dominant, or admired socially and also the one who rules the roost. Mars adds attraction and passion, but can also bring occasional friction or power dynamics. Saturn may delay marriage or create a serious tone in the relationship, but it also promises loyalty and commitment over time. Overall, this placement supports a classic partnership that's public, impactful, and often karmically significant. Your family members usually approve of this relationship. This can point to a court-house wedding or wedding done in front of a government offical or in a church if you're religious.
DK planet in 8th house - A spouse who may trigger deep emotional or psychological changes in you, think soul-level growth, not surface-level romance. The relationship may involve secrets, trust-building, or unexpected life shifts after marriage. If Venus is here, there’s emotional depth and sensuality, but the bond may go through highs and lows. Marital status would be secret or private. With Sun, the partner may be powerful or intense, sometimes dominating the relationship dynamic. Mars can bring passion but also volatility or control issues if not handled maturely. Saturn adds a heavy, serious tone, marriage may feel like a responsibility or come after hardship, but it can be deeply loyal and long-lasting. Both Mars and Saturn in RARE cases, point to the death of a spouse. Overall, it’s a life-altering kind of marriage, meant to shake you and shape you.
DK planet in 9th house - You may marry someone from a different background, country, or belief system or someone who expands your worldview. This placement leans toward intercultural, interfaith, or destination-style or elopement marriages, especially if there’s travel or education involved. If Venus is here, the marriage is affectionate and idealistic, often built on shared values or philosophies. Sun brings a spouse who’s respected, possibly a guide or mentor-type figure. Mars adds boldness; your spouse could be driven or adventurous, but debates over beliefs are possible. With Saturn, marriage might be more traditional, delayed, or with someone older or wise beyond their years. Overall, it’s a meaningful, growth-oriented union, often influenced by fate, travel, or purpose.
DK planet in 10th house - A partner who is goal-oriented, practical, and socially visible, someone who influences your image or helps elevate your professional standing. If Venus is here, the relationship blends love with shared ambitions or creative work but also status driven marriage or marrying for/into money. Sun brings a confident, possibly high-profile spouse who wants respect and recognition. Might expect you to treat them like a king/queen. Mars adds drive and motivation, but can also bring clashes over control or career priorities and can be a brat or childish at times. Saturn brings stability and marriage is a milestone but also staying for "reasons". Jupiter here brings luck and change of status after marriage. Overall, this points to a partnership built on mutual achievement, where love and ambition go hand in hand. This might point to a big wedding where the couple or their family throw a lot of money to show off.
DK planet in 11th house - The spouse might feel like your best friend first, or someone you meet through community events, online platforms, or mutual friends. It also points to a desire-based or wish-fulfillment marriage, the kind of relationship you’ve always hoped for or dreamed of. If Venus is here, it’s a sweet, affectionate bond with a lot of fun and emotional connection. Sun brings a charismatic spouse with strong leadership vibes. Mars adds passion and energy, though occasional ego clashes over independence might happen. Saturn may delay marriage but ensures long-term support and loyalty. With Jupiter, the spouse is wise, optimistic, and growth-oriented, possibly someone from a well-connected or respected background and of higher status. Overall, this is a hopeful, fulfilling, and future-forward type of marriage, where partnership feels like a team built on dreams and shared visions. It can point to a destination wedding or an intimate wedding.
DK Planet in 12th House - The spouse is often someone private, emotionally deep, or from a different culture or country. Marriage tends to be unconventional, often secretive, long-distance, or even an elopement against family wishes. These unions may involve strong karmic bonds and spiritual growth, with relationships developing quietly behind the scenes. Sometimes, marriage happens in foreign lands or through hidden circumstances, and there can be challenges related to acceptance or social norms. Overall, it’s a marriage focused on emotional depth, privacy, and crossing traditional boundaries. With Rahu involved, elopement is highly likely with an unconventional spouse. With Mars, you might marry someone even against your own wishes (seen in some, not a fact). With Sun involved, a foreigner or different cultural background is likely, and spouse might be known for something in them.

love languages: act of service 40%. gifts giving 30%. physical touch 20%. quality time 10%. words of affirmations 0%.
this person's way of showing affection is like a gun with a silencer. they may not say much but actions speak thunderous. they preferably show it rather than telling how much they love you. for example, they don't typically follow the gender-based stereotypes of like "cleaning must be for women task" no, but they are willing to do that without their partner narrating it to them. they typically someone who find ways even in small to help and makes them partner feel better on a certain task... if you like morning coffees? hell yeah they make you one or wake up earlier than you to buy outside. it's like they don't want to see you stress or sad either. felt sick? they would make you soup with a medicine on its side. don't know how to cook? they would love to make you delicious dishes. need someone to help you organize your room? got yah, you can rely on them. lack of staff in your business? lucky, they would participate in working for you. felt unsafe going home alone? they would accompany you back and forth. otherwise, their affection is also shown in buying you gifts. for example, buying you a souvenir... in the back of my mind, i vision two people----person A happily giving person B, a keychain that reminds them. it's like i bought you this whale keychain because it's remind me how big and gentle you are towards me. although, your future spouse may seem to have grown up in a household where they can't truly express themselves and voicing their opinions out. thus, this may be one of the reasons why their love language is more lean into actions and not words. perhaps, sometimes you may be caught them saying sweet words towards but don't expect too much. it's hard for them to tell someone how much they really adore it so they think the only way to show it is through giving you time, being there when you badly needed it and buying and surprising you gifts. i guess, with you they will learn how to be heard. how to volume up their voice. it's heavily giving me of "we talked like lovers and laughed like best friends". this person love language is top-tier!

love languages: act of service 20%. gifts giving 20%. physical touch 20%. quality time 20%. words of affirmations 20%.
i must say, they don't typically have a love language in my mind but they will try their best to make you experience all of that. they think you deserve all the love. they love to make you feel heard and loved. they would make mental notes about what you like and hate. with this person you gonna experience how to be understood as individual. you may even say to yourself "dang, is this freaking love?" yes honey, it is. you can run away from it from their thunderous affection, you will experience the storms and floods of their cariño. i love this person, they would love to include you in their prayers. it's like adding you is a silent yet most powerful love language they can offer to you. perhaps, you can't really recall how many times you would fell in love with this person over and over again. this person will make an effort, it's giving me an idea of "wanting to know all the names of your plants". i think you give a fresh beginning in this individual life, something they considered perfect. in bed, they would love to snuggle with you. yes, making effort showing up again. damn it, you are lucky! 😩🤌🏻 they gonna take time to figure things out, pay attention to the details and asking you questions.this person will try their best to fit in and deal with your connections and life. it's about them, making an effort to know everything about you. that's superficial love, your interest will be their interest. anything about you and what you do is gonna be their interest and will make an effort to learn and know about it. i think your person live in a household where all people are equally loved, supported and appreciated.

love languages: words of affirmations 40%. physical touch 20%. quality time 20%. acts of service 10%. gifts giving 10%
i think your person is someone who grew up in a family where they usually get criticized and make them feel unworthy. they were probably seeking for someone who can appreciate their work and praise it. your person's family have cruel and heartless opinions to them, your future spouse's often feel sabotaged from these people. it's also seems like they frequently experience inhumane words from their parents where most of the time they feel gloomy and blaming themselves for coming out of this world. it's giving me "we raised you so you must give it back to us when you have work". if i'm not mistaken, you two may deal with the same experience with your family. you both deal with a household where harsh criticism are prevalent. you will heal each other, holding grip so no one will leave this connection. they will bring a soothe feeling towards your soul, they are an epitome of perfection- beautiful disaster. this person loves communication. they give you the questions that feels like a hug like "do you want us to walk together so you can clear your mind a little while". you are very talkative when you are with this person and they will actively listen to everything you say. i see that you may casually be petty jealous about random people and things that take their attention a little. i think they will value your opinion and when communicating with you, they speak with the truth. if you are dealing with low confidence and self-esteem then they will assure that you are perfect. they will be your guide and life inspiration and motivational coach.

Gen ai plays a role in this too because people don't want to do things themselves or learn how to do things. And obviously this comes from systemic issues (wooo capitalism), but I do think this is something people should talk more about when arguing against AI.
Yes it's bad for the environment and it creates some really messed up looking artwork and it's really just a glorified plagiarism generator that has stolen from millions of people if not billions. But it also plays right into all the billionaires' and politicians' hands. If you don't know how to write an essay, you can't fight back. You don't know how to argue! You're limited to the sanitized takes a machine they created can express. And if there's a machine that can do things so much easier and more convenient people don't feel the need to learn how to do things themselves.
And people are exhausted after all. They have to work really hard to be able to afford rent or basic necessities. So I get it. The popularity of AI isn't their fault.
But there's a reason why these billionaires who have more money they can ever need love ai so much, you know?
It's not about the end result when you do something yourself. It's about the skills that you learn in the process. Skills that allow you to think critically, research, craft a coherent argument, express an idea in an artistic way or in a way that will appeal to others so that they are more engaged with your message. But most importantly, it creates a sense of confidence. Whenever you do something yourself, you're teaching yourself that you CAN do it yourself. You don't NEED the ai to do it for you. You're capable.
The current generation of adults is pretty split. A lot of people are very pro-AI or anti-intellectual in other ways. But we have a lot of people who think it's ridiculous and who are actively fighting back. I worry more about the kids currently in school. With such a reliance on programs like chatgpt, I feel like a lot of people aren't really training skills that are generally supposed to be learned before reaching adulthood* and I think it's creating a generation that's going to be more susceptible to propaganda than ever before.
But more importantly is the confidence issue. There are kids out there who under normal circumstances would have picked up a pencil and started teaching themselves how to draw, for example. But the world is currently very hostile to beginners and so they lack confidence, and in their eyes, there's a button that can immediately create "good art". So they press the button. They don't learn how to draw because suddenly it seems impossible to put in that much work, because they've never experienced that sense of satisfaction and they don't have the confidence that they CAN do it themselves.
Art and writing is inherently political, as it reflects people's lived experience in a political society. So what would happen if no one knows how to write or draw? Or if no one is willing to write or draw if they think their final product would be bad?
Keep refusing to use gen AI. Make bad art. Write a shitty essay with typos and horrible grammatical mistakes. Express yourself and learn new things. It's fun and satisfying and so, so worth it.
You're fighting anti-intellectualism with every letter you type, with every shaky pencil line put to paper. Convenience culture and anti intellectualism go hand in hand. So don't give in to it. You're capable, I promise.
*Of course, these skills can be learned at any time. There is no shame in learning skills as an adult that you were "meant" to learn at a much younger age. In fact, I think it's really cool if you do! It wasn't your fault that the system failed you, but you're making it right. And this isn't specific to AI use either.
Anti-intellectual attitudes are on the rise on social media, the billionaires who run these apps are banking on people being uneducated or uninterested in education slipping from their fingers. So now is a good time to invest time into following accounts that teach you things, engaging with their content, and most importantly LEARNING.
Communal learning is inherently anti-fascist. Give them hell.

With Aries on the Ascendant, a person comes across as bold, dynamic, and direct. This rising sign colors their approach to the world—they initiate interactions with intensity and confidence, often acting before thinking. Aries Rising gives a warrior-like presence, and others may see them as strong-willed, straightforward, or even intimidating. First impressions are marked by a pioneering attitude and a readiness to tackle life head-on. They naturally adopt the role of a leader or trailblazer in new situations, regardless of their inner emotional or egoic landscape.
Taurus Sun:
A Taurus Sun expresses their identity through stability, sensuality, and persistence. These individuals have a strong need for comfort, security, and the tangible pleasures of life—good food, beautiful surroundings, and physical affection. They often embody patience and reliability, preferring to build their lives slowly and deliberately. Their ego is reinforced through consistency and control, and they may resist change unless absolutely necessary. Taurus Suns are typically grounded and pragmatic, with a natural talent for creating lasting value, whether in relationships, finances, or creative projects.

Virgo Sun:
A Virgo Sun identifies with being helpful, analytical, and detail-oriented. These individuals often see themselves through the lens of service, improvement, and responsibility. They find purpose in organizing, refining, and contributing to something greater than themselves—whether it’s work, health, or relationships. Their ego is tied to being competent, reliable, and productive. Virgo Suns can be perfectionists with a keen sense of observation, and they may be highly self-critical. At their best, they are humble, precise, and devoted to making the world (and themselves) better.
Virgo Moon:
A Virgo Moon processes emotions through logic and observation, often needing order and clarity to feel emotionally secure. They may not always show their feelings openly but will often express care by doing things for others—small acts of service, attentiveness, and problem-solving. They are emotionally soothed by routines, health-conscious habits, and mental stimulation. When overwhelmed, they may retreat into overthinking or become overly critical of themselves or others. Virgo Moons crave emotional stability and often find comfort in practical solutions and purposeful tasks.
Virgo Rising:
Virgo Rising individuals present themselves as modest, intelligent, and detail-focused. Their first instinct is to observe and analyze, often noticing the little things others overlook. They may appear reserved or cautious upon first meeting, but there’s a quiet precision in the way they move through the world. Others see them as practical, clean-cut, and trustworthy. They tend to present themselves in a neat, minimalistic way, often with an understated sense of style. Their approach to life is based on self-improvement, discernment, and meaningful contribution.

Erotic Chaos: Kundalini, Ashlesha, Uttara Bhadrapada, and the Struggle for Control

In ancient Vedic texts, Kundalini is described as the “serpent power,” an intense, primal energy coiled at the base of the spine. This energy is tied to our ego and physical identity, anchoring us to the material world while also placing limits on our spiritual growth. Mastering Kundalini means learning to awaken and guide this energy upward through each chakra, each center representing a unique aspect of consciousness. A true Kundalini awakening is not just about spiritual insight — it also involves embracing sexual energy as a natural, powerful force within the spiritual journey, transforming raw desire into higher awareness. Source: Claire Nakti
Ashlesha nakshatra is deeply connected to this concept because it embodies the themes of binding and constriction — spiritually and energetically. Governed by the Nagas (serpent deities), Ashlesha represents the dual nature of serpents: they can bind and paralyze with poison but also possess the power to release and unbind. Being in the sensitive water sign of Cancer, Ashlesha is about preserving energy and maintaining purity. Nagas, associated with water, are highly sensitive to spiritual pollution and react strongly against actions that disrespect sacred knowledge. Their Yin nature means they don’t initiate but rather respond, acting as protectors of Dharma (spiritual order) and sacred practices. Uttara Bhadrapada, on the other hand, also has a restrictive quality, but its limitations are tied to Saturn’s influence and Pisces’ connection to the 12th house — the realm of isolation, subconscious depth, and hidden places like prisons or asylums. Its deity, Ahir Budhnya (the deep sea serpent or dragon), guards hidden treasures in the depths of the ocean, symbolizing the containment and protection of sacred knowledge. Uttara Bhadrapada’s connection to Kundalini is more refined — it is linked to the Ajna (third eye) chakra, where spiritual energy is stabilized. In this stage, Kundalini rises beyond ego and personal identity, bringing a profound shift where ambition and the desire for achievement fade away. The individual transcends their limited human self, merging with a higher state of consciousness and aligning with universal truth.

Ashlesha is about breaking free from “motherly” restrictions to avoid becoming frozen or paralyzed in a state of innocence or naivety. It represents the struggle of moving beyond a sheltered, virginal state. In “The Year of the Carnivore,” Cristin Milioti — an Ashlesha native — plays Sammy Smalls, a young woman stuck in a grocery store job she dislikes but keeps to avoid moving back in with her overbearing parents. Sammy’s life takes a turn when she develops a crush, and after an awkward sexual encounter, the guy tells her she is sexually immature due to her inexperience. This criticism triggers a spiral for Sammy, pushing her into a series of awkward, misguided sexual experiments as she tries to gain experience. One telling scene shows Sammy getting intimate with a guy but unable to stop laughing — a clear sign of discomfort with physical touch.
This aligns with the nature of Ashlesha, whose yoni (animal symbol) is the male cat, considered the least sexual yoni in terms of directness, reproduction, and penetration. Like a cat, Ashlesha can be finicky, picky, and indirect, preferring to preserve their energy. This focus on energy preservation is tied to Ashlesha’s connection with water — the most easily polluted element. Water signs like Cancer (Ashlesha’s zodiac sign) and Pisces are especially vulnerable to contamination, which is why Ashlesha women are often concerned with purity and self-protection. Ashlesha natives often need to explore sex in a way that genuinely gratifies them, and their indirect, cautious approach can sometimes lead to an aggressive or even predatory sexual expression — a “man-eating” or cannibalistic trope.

This is seen in “Raw,” where Garance Marillier — who has an Ashlesha ☽ and an Uttara Bhadrapada ↑ — plays Justine, a veterinary student raised as a strict vegetarian by her overprotective mother. When Justine is forced to eat raw rabbit meat during a hazing ritual, she develops an intense, almost uncontrollable craving for raw flesh, leading to a disturbing transformation. Her struggle with hunger and primal urges is a dark, exaggerated portrayal of Ashlesha’s conflicted relationship with instinct, hunger, and desire. After experiencing intense cravings for meat, Justine feels ashamed and begins secretly eating raw meat. Her hunger takes a darker turn when her sister Alexia accidentally cuts off her finger — and instead of helping, Justine picks it up and starts chewing on it. Justine’s hunger for human flesh intensifies and begins to blur with her feelings of lust, especially toward her roommate, Adrien. Adrien is more sexually experienced, while Justine is still a virgin and unfamiliar with her own desires. During a hazing ritual, she is pressured to kiss a boy but ends up biting his bottom lip instead. Later, when she has sex with Adrien, she struggles with an urge to devour him but manages to control herself, biting her own arm instead and experiencing an orgasm.

In “Jennifer’s Body,” Megan Fox — an Ashlesha ☽ native — plays Jennifer Check, a high school girl known for her wild reputation. One night, Jennifer and her best friend Needy go to a local bar to see an out-of-town band perform. The lead singer, mistakenly believing Jennifer is a virgin, decides to sacrifice her for fame and fortune. But the ritual backfires because Jennifer isn’t a virgin, and she is transformed into a succubus instead of dying. As a succubus, Jennifer begins seducing and killing local boys, feeding on them to maintain her beauty and vitality. If she goes too long without eating, she becomes pale and withered, needing “male meat” to stay healthy and beautiful. These stories highlight Ashlesha’s intense, pent-up feminine energy — a force that is both alluring and dangerous. Ashlesha is like a group of hidden, pure water creatures — sensitive, waiting, and filled with angsty, sexualized energy. It craves something strong enough to resist or contain it. When that strength is absent, Ashlesha’s energy can become consuming, uncoiling and rising like a serpent, leading to a kind of bliss or ecstasy. Despite its connection to inexperience or naivety, Ashlesha has a fierce, almost predatory side. Its intensity is rooted in a primal hunger, making it one of the most dangerously passionate nakshatras, especially when its desires are awakened.
𓆗
Uttara Bhadrapada, with its Saturnian influence and connection to the deep waters of the subconscious, often manifests as a struggle between repression and chaotic release, especially when it comes to sexuality. The nakshatra’s link to hidden depths means that emotions and desires are often buried, but when they surface, they can do so violently or in distorted ways. This is evident in two films featuring Uttara Bhadrapada natives: “The Piano Teacher” and “A Dangerous Method.” In “The Piano Teacher,” Erika Kohut (played by Uttara Bhadrapada ☽ Isabelle Huppert) is a rigid, troubled piano professor in her late thirties, living under the suffocating control of her elderly mother in Vienna. Her father spent years in a psychiatric asylum, and Erika’s entire life is a study in repression — she leads a scheduled, lonely existence, pouring all her energy into her strict, almost cruel teaching style. Her mastery of classical music, (which @invenusworld has linked to Saturn nakshatras) is her only source of pride, but it also becomes a prison. For Erika, who was conditioned to believe that only her piano skills had value, everything else — beauty, charm, or love — seems beyond her reach. Erika embodies the detached, mysterious qualities of Uttara Bhadrapada. She feels fundamentally excluded from the world around her, a theme captured in the novel by Elfriede Jelinek: “She feels left out of everything because she is left out of everything. Others go farther, even climbing over her. She looks like such a minor obstruction… The paper can’t get very far, it rots away right there. The rotting takes years, monotonous years.” This isolation and repression transform her desires into something dark and destructive. Her sexual needs, suppressed for so long, emerge through voyeurism, sadomasochism, and self-harm. Uttara Bhadrapada’s connection to Saturn (restriction) and the 12th house (hidden desires, self-undoing) makes Erika a prisoner of her own twisted cravings. Her attempt to control her sexuality leads to a disturbing power struggle with Walter Klemmer, a young pianist who becomes fascinated with her. Although she is impressed by his talent, she tries to sabotage his acceptance as her student, a reflection of her fear of losing control. Her insecurity peaks when she sabotages another student, Anna, injuring her to steal her performance opportunity. Walter’s interest in Erika turns into a toxic, violent relationship.

When she tries to control their encounters with a list of masochistic fantasies, Walter is disgusted and calls her sick. Uttara Bhadrapada, with its mix of Saturn’s restraint and the 12th house’s hidden darkness, can manifest as a craving for the forbidden — but also a fear of being consumed by it. Erika’s attempt to engage with her desires becomes self-destructive. Her repression is so severe that even when she tries to submit to Walter at an ice rink, she becomes overwhelmed and vomits. Later, when Walter arrives at her apartment and violently assaults her, acting out the fantasies she had described, it becomes the ultimate loss of control — a tragic consequence of her conflicted desires, which she never truly wanted to become reality. What Erika genuinely craved was affection and love, but her need for them was distorted into unhealthy perversion. The next day, she brings a knife to the concert hall where she is set to perform in Anna’s place. When she sees Walter laughing with his family, she calmly stabs herself in the shoulder and walks away, her self-harm a final act of despair and self-punishment.
The Andromeda myth, tied to Uttara Bhadrapada, is a story of captivity, sacrifice, and transformation. Andromeda, a princess chained to a rock as an offering to a sea monster, represents the themes of being trapped, suffering for the sins of others, and the potential for liberation through divine intervention. These themes echo the emotional and psychological struggles associated with Uttara Bhadrapada, where hidden fears, repressed desires, and subconscious turmoil create an internal prison. Yet, like Andromeda, the potential for transformation always exists, even in the darkest moments.

Uttara Bhadrapada’s connection to Andromeda can be seen in how its natives often experience deep psychological suffering or repression, feeling bound by invisible chains — whether through strict upbringing, oppressive relationships, or their own unresolved fears. This nakshatra is ruled by Ahir Budhnya, the serpent of the deep, a being bound to the ocean’s depths yet holding vast knowledge. Like Andromeda, who is saved by Perseus, Uttara Bhadrapada’s struggle is not without hope. Transformation comes when they confront the monstrous aspects of their subconscious, freeing themselves through self-awareness or a profound emotional release.
. ♓︎ .
This theme is vividly portrayed in “The Piano Teacher,” where Erika Kohut (Uttara Bhadrapada ☽ Isabelle Huppert) is emotionally chained by her controlling mother and repressed desires. Her strict, punishing approach to life is a form of self-imposed captivity, but beneath her cold exterior lies a sea of chaotic, unfulfilled desires. Her voyeurism, sadomasochism, and self-harm are expressions of this repressed energy breaking through, much like the sea monster in the Andromeda myth. When she meets Walter, their interactions become a cruel power struggle — a battle between her need for control and her longing for release. Walter initially seems like a liberator but becomes another form of torment when he violently acts out her fantasies, leaving Erika even more wounded. Her final act of self-harm before walking out of the concert hall is a twisted attempt at reclaiming her agency — a distorted form of freedom.

In “A Dangerous Method,” Sabina Spielrein (Uttara Bhadrapada ☉ Keira Knightley) is also trapped — by her traumatic memories and her intense, conflicted desires. Her hysteria and emotional suffering are symptoms of unprocessed trauma, but they are also the source of her transformation. Through her relationship with Carl Jung, she confronts the darkness of her past, ultimately transforming her suffering into insight, becoming a pioneer in psychoanalysis. Her journey from patient to healer reflects Uttara Bhadrapada’s power to turn pain into wisdom, just as Andromeda is saved and transformed by her ordeal.

“Augustine” portrays another trapped woman, Augustine (Uttara Bhadrapada ↑ Soko), who is institutionalized after violent fits and paralysis. Charcot’s obsessive study of her turns her suffering into a spectacle, reducing her to a subject of medical curiosity. But Augustine’s symptoms — seizures, loss of sensation, and fainting — are not just physical. They are expressions of repressed emotions and desires struggling to surface, much like Kundalini energy coiled in the depths. Her final escape from the institution, after using her supposed hysteria to manipulate Charcot, is a symbolic liberation, a rejection of being used and controlled.

Going back to the cannibalistic narratives of “Raw” (starring Ashlesha ☉, Uttara Bhadrapada ↑ Garance Marillier) and “Bones and All” (directed by Ashlesha ☉, Uttara Bhadrapada ☽ Luca Guadagnino and starring Uttara Bhadrapada ☽ Timothée Chalamet). In “Raw,” Justine is overwhelmed by her repressed hunger, both literal and metaphorical, which becomes monstrous when she tastes human flesh. Her descent into cannibalism is a grotesque form of transformation, where she must confront the darkness within herself — a classic Uttara Bhadrapada struggle. In “Bones and All,” Chalamet’s character lures his victims through seduction, a serpent-like dance that combines hunger, desire, and violence. His embrace of a man in the cornfield, wrapping around him before striking, is a direct nod to the snake symbolism of Ahir Budhnya — the hidden hunger that coils around its prey. These cannibalistic themes reveal the shadow side of Uttara Bhadrapada, where suppressed desires erupt in monstrous ways. But they also hint at the potential for transformation, as both characters are forced to confront the darkness within them. These stories show how Uttara Bhadrapada’s Andromeda connection is not just about suffering but about the choice to either remain trapped or transform — to either let the sea monster devour you or find a way to break free.

Venus Nakshatras: The Cost of a Man's World
Before discussing the role of Venus nakshatras, I want to expand on the general understanding of what the nakshatras are. Earlier in my Moon men post, I talked about how the nakshatras are unchanging and universal, representing the experiential dimensions of our engagement with the physical world. They show the inner aspiration of the mind, driving us to engage with the world in certain ways and seek out various experiences. However, there is another side to this that is less passive. While the nakshatras show what calls us to seek out external experiences, they also show what we are capable of achieving. One of the most important rules of jyotish that is considered only with an advanced level of study is that nothing can come of the chart that the nakshatras do not allow. This means the nakshatras act as a kind of subtle filter or gate, delineating not only what the native is drawn toward but also the boundaries of what is possible in their lived experience. The planets express themselves according to their condition, but that is ultimately shaped by the deeper permissions or limitations of the nakshatras. In other words, a planet may be powerful in a sign or house, but if it resides in a nakshatra that does not support the kind of manifestation the chart suggests, then that potential remains dormant or unrealized. Likewise, when a chart overall indicates a slight potentiality of something occuring that is favored by the nakshatra, the nakshatra will make sure it definitely happens. This is why the nakshatras are often said to be the true “field” in which a planet plays. The rashi might show the context of material circumstance, the house the domain of experience, but the nakshatra reveals the tone, the capacity, and the manner of expression that governs both the psychological disposition and the material outcomes in a native’s life. When we start to consider this level of depth, the nakshatras cease to be “lunar mansions” in the poetic sense and instead emerge as precise, technical indicators of both capacity and the unfolding of pre-ordained outcomes, helping us to understand our soul's trajectory in life from the energetic tendencies ingrained from the time of birth. They create either a ceiling or an opening, and we must understand that the entire chart is to be viewed through the lens of nakshatra influence.
Anyway, now to get on with the main topic of the post. The planetary associations made within this context will be based on Vimshattori. Vimshattori is a lunar based dasha system. It is apt at capturing our experiences and impressions of something more than the objective facets involved. For example, during a Saturn period, you may be lonely. But how will you experience being alone? Will it make you sad? Happy? Give you new zeal for life? Or will it crush your spirit? That inner tone is what Vimshottari recognizes and elevates. It shows not just what happens but how it is experienced and ultimately absorbed by the mind. Two people may go through similar events, for example, but one might be empowered, while another feels defeated. This difference depends on the nakshatra and its ruling planet, specifically in how it relates to its condition in our chart, but that is a bit too specific for right now. The nakshatra lords show more about the quality of a period seen from the moon rather than the planet itself, and we begin to understand the progression of energies from the Moon's perspective when we study them. With this in mind, we will now turn to the Venus nakshatras, which are Bharani, Purva Phalguni, and Purva Ashadha. Remember that these are not pure expressions of Venus; rather, they show periods of time where we experience the effect Venus has on the Moon.
The first thing we need to realize when studying Venus nakshatras is that Moon is enemy to none, but Venus is enemy to the Moon, which creates a one-sided tension between what the Moon wants and what Venus wants. The Moon in its pure expression (not its nakshatras) seeks peace, balance, and preservation of feeling through the senses, while Venus brings disturbance through desire, provoking the mind into movement, stimulation, and transformation. This dynamic forms the basis of the Venus nakshatras which are charged, active, and more often than not disruptive to the mental state. They do not allow the mind to settle. Instead, they awaken a hunger that must be answered even when the cost is high. This is why the lives of Venus nakshatra natives often reflect stories of desire, provocation, and upheaval. Their presence stirs something both in themselves and in others and we see this clearly in how they are portrayed across media.
Because Venus provokes instability in the Moon (because it is enemy to it), the stories that emerge from Venus nakshatras are usually pretty brutal. There is a volatility to the lives of these natives that reflects an internal climate of discomfort, one that demands resolution through experience rather than reflection. They are rarely given the luxury of remaining untouched. Instead, their circumstances tend to force them into roles that confront the contradictions of desire, often dragging them into morally gray terrain. We see in these natives a tendency toward extremes: to be both victim and instigator, pursued and punished, loved and rejected. What sets them apart is not the presence of beauty or harmony, but the fact that such qualities, when they appear, are unstable, always flickering in and out of reach, unable to be held without some greater cost being paid. In other words, Venus nakshatra natives do not embody the traditionally benefic nature you would expect to see from the planet.
This pattern of relational disruption reflects the karmic role of Venus when filtered through the lens of the Moon. In the Vedic tradition, Venus is the guru of the asuras, the teacher of those who seek to manipulate, seduce, or overtake the natural order rather than submit to it. Venus teaches through desire, through indulgence, and through the confrontation with maya in its most refined and tempting forms. When the Moon (symbol of manas and perception) enters into the field of such a teacher, it is not the Moon that seduces, but the Moon that is seduced. The mind becomes agitated, not because it seeks pleasure, but because it is compelled to process the consequences of having seen through Venusian eyes. What the Moon experiences through these nakshatras is not harmony, but the dissonance of longing for something that cannot be held. This is the curse of Sukracharya's domain when viewed through Chandra's vulnerable gaze. Venus nakshatras are not sites of enjoyment. They are karmic mirrors, where the Moon must see its own fragility in the face of what is beautiful, pleasurable, and unattainable.
Venus nakshatra natives are frequently cast in roles where it is shown their presence alone unsettles the order of the world. There is something about them that does not sit quietly or serve as ornament but instead provokes the surrounding environment. It draws others in, but not without cost. For women, this experience is one of being thrust into a world that sees them as both sacred and dangerous. They are often compared to monsters or witches. Their being becomes a mirror that others cannot bear to look into, and so they are punished for it. They may be violated, disbelieved, exiled, or otherwise estranged from any sense of comfort they might have enjoyed had their mere existence not stirred so much feeling. Their lives are marked by continual intrusion, as if the world cannot allow them peace. Even when they seek stillness, something is always thrown at them, whether it be a betrayal, a demand, or a trial that forces them back into defense. These women often take on the role of warriors, but not because they wanted to fight. They are compelled to armor themselves for survival.
In the sense of Hindu tradition, they carry the curse of the apsara born into the mortal realm. Their sacred femininity, which once danced freely in the halls of Indra, is now condemned to walk through fire again and again until it becomes something diamond-like. Their softness, when it does survive, is forged rather than given. For Venusian women, the world they walk through is anything but neutral. It is structured by male dominance, and their experience is shaped by the cost of existing within that structure. These women are punished simply for taking up space. Their softness is not protected, and it is weaponized against them. They often do not belong in the realms they move through, but they cannot retreat from them either. Their stories become a meditation on survival not as preservation, but survival as transformation under pressure. They are shaped by the gaze and actions of others, then blamed for the shape they become.
For men born under Venus nakshatras, the tension between Venus and the Moon manifests as a more forceful expression of desire and control rather than passivity or softness that hardens over time. I would consider these men less as victims of their nature and more as active perpetrators who embody the more aggressive and manipulative aspects of Venus’s energy, reflecting the planet’s role as the guru of the asuras and the rajasic planet that cannot take no for an answer. However, they are definitely one way to see an outcome of toxic masculinity. Their connection to Venus compels them to assert power through seduction, coercion, or disruption, imposing their will on others in pursuit of what they desire. So, remember it is the Moon experiencing Venus, so for the male psyche, it is more about chasing after what they want. This dynamic is embedded in the karmic lessons they face, where the intoxication of Venusian allure becomes a double-edged sword, granting influence but also inviting conflict and moral ambiguity. These men force confrontation with uncomfortable truths about desire, dominance, and vulnerability. Their lives unfold amid cycles of power struggles and fractured relationships, highlighting the cost of wielding Venus’s energy without the balancing grace or empathy that the Moon seeks. In this way, their path is one of reckoning with how far desire can push beyond the limits of compassion and respect, making their stories intense explorations of the consequences when beauty and power become weapons rather than gifts.
Moving beyond the personal dynamics of Venus nakshatra natives, it is important to consider how these energies influence broader patterns in life and society. Venus, as the guru of the asuras, governs not only desire and attraction but also the structures of temptation and disruption that challenge established order. Viewed through the lens of Vimshottari and the Moon’s experience, Venus periods provoke situations where illusions and attachments intensify, forcing individuals and communities to confront the consequences of indulgence, manipulation, and power struggles. This influence extends beyond personal experience into social and cultural upheaval, moments when accepted values are questioned and boundaries tested. Venus nakshatra phases become karmic opportunities for transformation that demand active engagement rather than passive acceptance. They bring hidden tensions related to status, identity, and control to the surface, compelling a reckoning with the cost of desire that surpasses superficial gratification. These cycles push not only individuals but entire collectives into situations exposing vulnerabilities, provoking conflict, and offering a chance to reexamine what is truly valuable and sustainable in life. This theme appears often in media portrayals of Venus nakshatra archetypes, where characters embodying these energies frequently disrupt established social norms and provoke intense emotional reactions. Whether portrayed as enigmatic seductresses, dangerous rebels, or charismatic manipulators, these figures reflect the tension between allure and threat that defines Venus’s influence on the Moon.

Just rewatched Murderbot eps 1-2, and Murderbot's facial expressions and reactions throughout feel unexpectedly relatable for me as an autistic person who used to mask my autism constantly to a degree I was not aware of. It's like there are two layers to Murderbot's emoting, one which it controls, and one which it can't control and can only try to suppress, but which keeps peeking (or occasionally bursting) through despite its best efforts. Not only does this reflect the way the books portray Murderbot's reactions, but it also feels true to my past lived experience of trying to constantly micromanage my facial expressions and speech without being able to fully tell how I was presenting at any given time. The fear of being "found out" by accidentally saying the wrong thing or emoting in the wrong way is also painfully relatable, although the threat of "social death" is still less extreme than getting melted down for parts. I know I picked up on at least some of this while reading the books, but watching the show made the autistic coding hit home in a new way. The look of sheer panic when Mensah invites it to stay in the crew area? I have felt that emotion in my very soul. 😂
(As an aside, the way I learned to reconnect with my physical awareness and have at least some idea what my face and body are doing is humorously on-theme. Part of it was accepting and partially unmasking my autism, and part of it was doing somatic and trauma therapy to make myself feel safe in my body and emotions again. But a huge part of it was also just binge-watching a TV show with a character whose facial expressions, physical mannerisms, and even some speech patterns were ridiculously similar to my own, and using that to backwards-engineer my mental map for how I looked and what my face was doing under different circumstances. Which seems like a Murderbot solution if there ever was one.)

the sun and moon
Moon!Sung Jinwoo x Sun!civillian reader
summary: where reader and Jinwoo go to an amusement park and have fun together, the only thing is that Jinwoo is completely focused on how sunny reader is. and maybe also beautiful.
fluff, choking, cursing, hurt and comfort
note: this is more like sunshine and sunshine protector LMAOO
enjoy!
"Jinwoo, Jinwoooo!" You called out, your usual happy expression on your face as you were running around the house to just find him.
"I'm here, need anything?" Jinwoo spoke calmly, gently stopping your movements as he embraced your waist from behind. kissing your forehead.
"Let's go to the amusement park, Jinwoo." You spoke happily, happy to see him as you kissed his lips, still smiling as he went to return the favour.
"Mm, Sure." Jinwoo nodded, pulling away from the kiss as he easily lifted you up, carrying you outside to his car as he placed you in the passenger seat as he went to the driver seat, buckling your seatbelt before he did with his own seatbelt as he drove to the amusement park, he didn't want people looking shocked that he suddenly appeared in the amusement park as he just drove there, sharing conversations with you about your day and his day.
"Ooh, Jinwoo let's go there!" You said, smiling as you were tugging on his hand after you both just arrived at the amusement park, your other hand pointing to the rollercoaster.
"Alright, whatever you say." Jinwoo nodded, his expression softening at your smile, his usual frown tugging upwards in a slight evidence of a smile as he followed you, arriving at the rollercoaster as you and Jinwoo sat in the front line as the rollercoaster started.
"Eeek!" You practically screamed, of course obviously, with how high the rollercoaster was going up and how it dropped down, following the rails and going in a loop, then a camera shot, obviously from the rollercoaster ride there might have been cameras aimed to shoot the people in the picture.
Jinwoo on the other hand, didn't really respond, only smiling along the drops and loops of the rollercoaster due to your screams, he was agile so the ride was slightly slow nonetheless, and oh boy he was in a ride of a bunch of rides he was going to experience with you, and haunted houses, just in exchange of your cute reactions.
"Look! Theres a picture of us in the rollercoaster." You spoke, your eyes gleaming with curiosity as you examined the photos the camera had pictured, the people already leaving after taking a glance or taking the picture with them.
"We should take it, as a souvenir." A simple white lie, he'd only lie this once and he'd definitely keep it forever because of your reaction that was caught on camera as he took the picture, his hand on your back as he guided you out of the rollercoaster.
time passed, Jinwoo always watched your reactions when playing games, of course you might lose or win a few times but whenever you lost, he'd specifically just win for you just for you to get the prize he got for you as your happiness was filled to the brim due to Jinwoo tending to your needs in order for your cute smiles.
"My sweet sweet dear, please wait here, alright? I need to take a restroom break." Jinwoo spoke softly, his bladder not even holding it for not much longer as he cupped your cheeks before kissing you and leaving to the restroom just like he said.
You waited patiently, a few seconds passed by and you still remained loyal, standing in the same spot as you heard you get called by a group of arrogant looking girls who were probably in their 20's.
"Hey, who are you waiting for, Sung Jinwoo? He's probably just using you and he'll leave you once he gets bored in his eyes." The tallest girl spoke in arrogance, her eyes gleaming with a venomous hatred.
"No, he wouldn't.. Because if he did, then there would be rumors of... Him." You spoke slowly, guilt slowly starting to sprout in your heart.
"And? You're just a weak person, girls like us are more fit for a guy like him." Another girl sneered, as they both exchanged glances, planning what to do with you.
"Yeah, you're just a weak, useless burden to him." The tallest girl spoke, slapping you as a red mark burned on your cheek from getting slapped.
"No.. He doesn't think I'm a—" You get cut off, your form levitating off the ground as the girl had choked you, her arms tightening around your throat as you cough, your face slowly and quickly starts to pale, your eyes slowly welling with unshed tears as the witnesses around you and the group of girls were in fear due to the action.
"What's that? I can't fucking hear you, slut." The girl who was choking you now laughed shortly, mocking you.
You tried to respond but you couldn't, your face turning more and more pale by the time, you were losing consciousness fast and if you didn't—
...
You dropped to your knees suddenly, the tightness on your throat disappeared as suddenly as it was, your gaze in a daze as you slowly looked up, to see Jinwoo holding the girl's wrist tightly to the point the girl had winced loud.
"Oh? But I've never asked you to hurt them, did I?" He spoke, smiling in more of a dangerous way as his hand, that was firmly and roughly gripping the girl's wrist had quickly disappeared and appeared on the girl's throat, choking her as her face paled, the color in her face had drained almost immediately when she saw him.
"Wait!— I-it was an accident—" The girl pleaded weakly, tears in her eyes beginning to fall from her cheeks as Jinwoo shot back, replying coldly to her pleading.
"But you think choking and bullying my beloved is okay? I don't think so." Jinwoo said in a colder edge, his grip on the girl's throat tightening till she was about to pass out, only to release his grip.
"Leave." Jinwoo ordered the group of girls, not taking no as an answer as the girls scurried away in fear, not wanting to be the victim of Jinwoo's wrath.
"J-Jinwoo..?" You spoke weakly, still kneeling as you slowly glanced up to meet his cold gaze, evidence of fear and guilt in your eyes.
"Dear, don't listen to them, they're just jealous, alright?" Jinwoo said softly, his cold expression melting to a soft one as he pressed kisses on your face in an assuring way.
"Okay.." You said, the doubt was still sprouting in your heart but it slowly started to disappear, giving him another chance as you hugged him, continuing for a little while before you completely shifted your weight onto his body, you were slowly starting to doze off out of worry and he'd notice that quickly as usual.
"Let's go home." And with his words, he teleported you both to the shared home you guys had, carrying you to the shared bed, he placed you down before he laid next to you, wrapping his arms around you as he slowly fell asleep.
it's like 1:36am rn in my time as I finished writing (@_@;)
anyways hope you all a great day / good night !!

little igriss ❤️❤️

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 .ᐟ in which itoshi sae gets a nosebleed during a play
during one of the most intense play, sae was started to feel the heat of the game. this is what he wanted to feel and experience in the field.
so he began to play with more effort as sweat started to show on his forehead.
the world knew the game is captivating and intense but seeing the itoshi sae sweating and moving more in the field was more worth to see. people just had to watch the game.
the ball was consistently being switch from players to players and teams to teams. it was hard to look away because the next second might be the moment a team would goal. but it was also hard to follow the ball because the players kept playing closely to each other.
they were trying to steal the ball in the midst of the game. and with a long direct pass to a player, he accidentally tripped and fall on sae's back resulting for itoshi sae to catch the ball. on the face.
the crowds cheers went from “ohhh!!” to “ohh...”
eyes widen from the sight of the accident and hands flying to cover their mouth. it was truly a hard catch especially when it was literally flying fast from the kick of a player.
the whistle blew and everyone leans to see the injured sae. the camera zooms and the crowd—
...was charm by his coolness?
itoshi sae seems to have sat on the field while he wipes the blood that was coming out of his nose. his gloves started to stain with blood as he continue to wipe. sae seems unbothered but the crease on his forehead tells otherwise.
he was damn irritated by the accident.
sae was fully immersed in the play and it had to be interrupted by a silly trip of a player. he even got a nosebleed in the process.
the world knew itoshi sae as someone who's cocky, calm, and collected. so the furrow in his brows was something amusing to see.
sae would repeat that expression again when he saw himself trending after the game because of the nosebleed he got. he thought it was ridiculous to be even interested on those stuff.

a/n 2. if you haven’t seen this trend just look up ‘me jalo dance trend’ on tiktok or instagram
my masterlist

(pictures are not mine. credit to the owner!)
(divider credit!)
jeongin ⊹ ࣪ ˖ you know he knows the trend, but this is a test. will he stop what he’s doing to do this silly thing with you? the answer is inevitably yes. he would smile and cover his mouth while he laughs but he just can’t resist the sillies and does the trend with you even if it makes him feel kinda shy and embarrassed. so yeah he’ll do it but he does NOT want you to post this. which means that when you threaten to do so he will grab your phone and make silly faces to the camera before running away while you are seen chasing after him.
seungmin ⊹ ࣪ ˖ seung would be kinda reluctant at first. you'd set up the camera while he’s sitting cross legged with the biggest look of judgement. but lets not be fooled, he is on the internet and he recognizes the song as soon as the first notes play. you almost think he won’t get up to do it but once you start moving towards him he starts shimmying from the chair with a defeated sigh while you’re smiling so hard your cheeks might fall off and he is absolutely totally charmed. (he will do any silly trend you want to do just to see you smile like that) ((no he will never admit to it))
felix⊹ ࣪ ˖ he’s probably gaming and the point of springing this on him is to see if he’d stop gaming (his one true love) to do this with you. so you’d set up the camera, press play, rush to his side and tap his shoulder. he’d take his headphones off, his eyes still glued on the screen with a "what?" but as soon as he hears the song he rushes to do it with you, literally THROWING the controller away. he’ll be whining and feeling anxious about his ranking going down but there is just no way he wouldn’t join you. “using your power to do something so cruel is not right” he’d pout afterwards.
han ⊹ ࣪ ˖ he’d probably be drinking coffee and would look at you set up the camera with a confused expression. you’d push the start button and at first he wouldn’t understand. he probably hasn’t seen this trend yet or he just totally forgot about it but that won’t refrain him from joining you. when it’s his turn to get to you he'd do so with a cute smile and shimmy his shoulders with an unsure smile before he breaks into his signature loud laugh. and that's just the thing with han, even if he doesn’t get it you can always count him to join in your shenanigans <3
hyunjin ⊹ ࣪ ˖ as soon as he sees you coming towards him with your phone he knows something’s up. you'd refuse to answer him as he berates you with questions, demanding to know what silly video you want to film now. you just start the timer and look at him with a serious face while he keeps rambling like a drama queen because: one, you know he’ll get it and second, seeing him getting so worked up is incredibly funny to you. and just as expected, he'd recognize the song and immediately get into the rythm, doing this silly dance trend with his years of dancing experience in tow. “you didn’t think i would remember uh, uh??” he’d brag and taunt.
changbin⊹ ࣪ ˖ you’d probably be working out together or you’d be watching him work out until you get bored and feel like annoying him. he has dumbells in hands and a focused binnie face but when he recognizes the trend a huge sweet smile splits his face and he does it with you, dumbbells still in hands which is kinda impressive ngl. he will def make that face where he opens his mouth with a quirky expression and looks all cute and shit and you just meeeeelt and giggle and you realize you should have known better than try to annoy him because that's (almost) impossible to do.
lee minho⊹ ࣪ ˖ your phone is set up and the timer is going when you (literally) drag him into view. of course he looks like an annoyed kitten but he’s not running away so there is hope. he gives it a very minimal effort when you first go towards him but the excitement on your face, your enthusiam and the way you shimmy your shoulders inevitably make him laugh and so when he goes back in your direction he’s laughing and shimmying as best he can since he doesn’t even know the trend. you'd very openly laugh at his moves until he'd scold you for making fun of him "hey it's your stupid trend!!" and go after you as you run out of frame.
bang chan ⊹ ࣪ ˖ he would be in the middle of chatting with han when you put down the camera and start the video. han would ofc immediately flee so he’s not caught in your shenanigans. chan is sooo confused at first, he’d probably look at the camera with an eyebrow lifted up, unsure smile on his lips. but when you shimmy towards him he immediately starts laughing and starts moving his hips in a very mid imitation of a latin dance style before awkwardly shimmying towards you (he doesn’t really know the trend but he’s trying his best). “im proud of you old man! i didn’t think a grandpa like you would know this” you say with a taunting smile. “you little-“ and in a second you’re trapped in his arms, probably to be thrown over his shoulders as he puts you in air jail.

What did you think of the eternity float story? I know you’ve said before you prefer events with strong storytelling/writing so I was wondering if this one hit the mark for you?

Any hometown event comes with the usual shortcomings of a hometown event. Low stakes, a lot of eating and souvenir shopping, etc. Eternity Float is no different from previous hometown events in that regard.
BUT!! ☝️🤓 Putting aside my J word and TLM bias (although I’m the type of person that evaluates media MORE harshly, not less, when the characters/media I like are involved), I do think Eternity Float is a step up from most other hometown events because it is slightly more ambitious. I’d argue that the highlight of this event’s story isn’t the wedding/Eternity Float, but instead the subtler secondary plot about how Jade has changed since his childhood + middle school days. Throughout the event, there are many details that feed into this recurring idea of Jade once not having interest in land or not having the belief that he could comfortably be on land. Then he becomes curious somewhere along the way and starts dreaming and working toward that dream. He decides to stop staring longingly at the land to become a part of it. And knowing just how competent he is in other areas now (such as being able to meet all of Vil’s demands; see: Jade Dorm Uniform vignettes)?? How much extra work did he have to put in to get to this point?? Jade isn’t a natural genius like Floyd is; Jade has actually had to put in tons of time and energy to develop all these skills, to learn the polite mannerisms of his mother, to present as pleasant, etc.
Jade genuinely expresses multiple times in Eternity Float that he is grateful to have made these memories with everyone. He also talks about how his past self would be amazed to see himself today more than once. We hear stories of him in the sea but also hear about how he’d visit Ultramarine City to actively learn about life on land. We meet his old land boot camp instructor. Just listening to him share about his experiences, you get the sense that he really worked hard to be able to walk and study on land as competently as he can today. It carries that wistful and hopeful and determined spirit of Ariel, and it harkens back to TLM source material without being outright stated.
We hear from Georgina, his mother, about how she frequently worries about Jade and is glad he has friends that support him and try to understand him. Now, this could also be said for the other family members we meet in hometowns, but the difference here is that Georgina’s worries actually help in scaffolding Jade’s growth. She is concerned about how Jade is faring on land because she may be aware her son is a literal fish out of water and may have lacked confidence before—but now she is put at ease after seeing that Jade does have a social circle and is having fun on land. (The only other parent whose worries about their kid has major story relevance is Dylla in White Rabbit Fest, as Deuce would later go on to honorably win the Rabbit Run against delinquents that had disrespected her. By the way, I also consider White Rabbit Fest to be one of the better written hometowns.)
This is especially important because we see in his book 7 dream that Jade, above all else, believes in himself. Eternity Float is the character growth Jade needed for book 7, it’s done sooo much better than his actual Draconia-induced dream BUT I DIGRESS— To imply that there was a point in time in which he did not have that confidence in regards to living on land is really fascinating and also implies previous growth. It manages to walk the line of keeping Jade mysterious—which is a large part of his appeal to a certain fanbase—while also demonstrating to us how his character has developed over time.
The event still has missed opportunities, of course. We could have gotten a better glimpse into Jade’s past if he actually knew the bride and groom instead of being complete strangers. Or maybe the land boot camp instructor we ran into in town could have been introduced sooner or stuck around for longer to drop more lore about kid!Jade. Still, I think it’s overall a bit stronger than the usual hometown event. Nowhere near the quality of Glorious Masquerade, mind you, but for sure one of my favorite hometown events.

The news has broken that Ralph Fiennes will be playing President Snow in the new The Hunger Games film, Sunrise on the Reaping, and I have some thoughts.
Fiennes is an excellent actor, and he will no doubt do a great job with the role. He has played Snow's namesake before in the stage and screen versions of Shakespeare's Coriolanus, which he also directed, and that's an excellent performance. Fiennes is a very different kind of actor to Donald Sutherland. Sutherland hated the British theatre experience, which sounds like it was borderline abusive for him, and that's where Fiennes honed his craft. I expect these will be two very different takes on the character, which is a good thing; I'd rather see a multiplicity of interpretations.
But I can't help but be a little sad, because Fiennes' performance is much more likely to rewrite Snow's character in the popular imagination in a way that Tom Blyth's never could, given his youth. I don't want to lose the importance of Sutherland to this role.
Sutherland's interpretation of Snow was immensely compelling and touching. His ability to express the interweaving of trauma, respect, and love in the relationship between Snow and Katniss was genuinely unique, and that's not to mention his personal and political investment in the role.
I hope in the wake of Fiennes' casting, and as the world continues to turn, that we don't entirely forget Sutherland's conjuring of Coriolanus Snow. He imagined it beautifully:
“Katniss Everdeen is the first person who has excited Snow, who has stimulated him. By the time you get into the, maybe the end of the second one, he’s in love with her. Not sexually. No, my God, no, no, no, no: he recognizes in her everything that he could have been. And so he takes it upon himself, he has to defeat her if he’s going to survive.” link
"She was a nuisance in the beginning and then the more he became acquainted with her the more he realised that she was someone on the same level as he was on. And she was a chess player, and he started playing chess with her, and he realised how good she was, and then he knew that she was beating him. But the joy of knowing at the very end that she had taken the truths that he had said and acted upon them – wonderful." link
"You can’t say that he fell in love but his life gained some semblance of coherence, knowledge, joy, revelation, sense, things were put together, it wasn’t just frittering out. When he thought […] that she was dead, his life was over; pathetically, sadly so." link
"What [Snow] loves, regrettably, […] is Katniss Everdeen. He just adores her. It’s a game of chess and she’s the perfect opponent. In any other circumstance she would have been his replacement, she would have taken over from him. But now she’s his enemy and even though she hates me, he loves her. He loves her, he just loves her. So I guess maybe the thing you love the most does destroy you." link
You can watch my edit of those interviews here.

The difference with Sun, Moon, and Rising in signs: Libra - Pisces
Libra Sun:
A Libra Sun expresses identity through relationships, harmony, and aesthetic sensibility. These individuals see themselves as peacemakers, valuing fairness, diplomacy, and cooperation. Their ego is shaped by the quality of their connections—they often define themselves in relation to others. Libra Suns are charming and graceful, with a natural talent for seeing multiple perspectives. They’re motivated by beauty, balance, and justice, and may avoid conflict to maintain peace. While they strive for harmony, they can struggle with indecisiveness or people-pleasing tendencies.
Libra Moon:
A Libra Moon seeks emotional balance, often processing feelings through intellectual or social filters. These individuals are soothed by calm environments, pleasant company, and thoughtful conversation. They have a strong need for emotional reciprocity and may feel unsettled when relationships feel imbalanced. Emotional expression is usually tactful and controlled—they prefer to avoid drama or confrontation. There’s a desire to be liked and emotionally validated, which can sometimes lead to suppressing their own needs to keep the peace.
Libra Rising:
Libra Rising people present themselves as polite, diplomatic, and socially conscious. They have an approachable, charming demeanor and are often concerned with how they’re perceived. First impressions are marked by elegance, grace, and a sense of refinement. They approach life through the lens of relationships and often take on the role of the mediator or aesthetic curator in new environments. They may have symmetrical features, a stylish appearance, and an innate ability to attract and relate to others harmoniously.
Scorpio Sun:
A Scorpio Sun identifies with depth, intensity, and transformation. These individuals have a magnetic presence and are often emotionally powerful, even if they keep their true feelings hidden. Their ego is tied to their ability to endure, transform, and maintain control over their emotional world. Scorpio Suns are passionate, loyal, and fiercely protective—but they may also be secretive or possessive. They have a strong drive for truth and emotional authenticity and often experience life as a series of emotional rebirths and psychological breakthroughs.
Scorpio Moon:
A Scorpio Moon feels everything intensely, but rarely shows the full depth of their emotions. They crave emotional intimacy and loyalty, yet often protect themselves with emotional walls and secrecy. Trust is essential—and once given, their devotion runs deep. These individuals can be prone to emotional extremes, holding onto pain or passion long after the moment has passed. There’s a need to feel emotionally powerful and in control, and they may become withdrawn or suspicious when vulnerable. Their emotional world is private, complex, and deeply intuitive.
Scorpio Rising:
Scorpio Rising individuals come across as intense, mysterious, and perceptive. They have a penetrating gaze and an aura of quiet power that often intrigues or intimidates others. Their approach to life is strategic and instinct-driven—they observe before engaging, and prefer to stay emotionally guarded until trust is established. First impressions may be marked by a sense of secrecy, confidence, or magnetism.
