NOELLE AND KRIS

okay so. i think i've mentioned this in other posts before, but the whole event that starts off everyone finding out dess and kris arent actually dead is that kris dives into a dark world! theyre trying to close a dark world like dess does, because they think that maybe!! that way!! dess will come back and be proud of them and love them and then she wont leave so much! because kris can close dark worlds too, see? now they can go with her!

they tell this to frisk, swear frisk to secrecy, and then! vanish lol they're Gone. the way dark worlds work here also isnt fully solid but im treating them sort of like mystery dungeons in pmd, so they dont fully follow the laws of like, physics and the like which means that even tho where kris lives is Very Far from hometown, noelle, susie, and ralsei are still able to get to the same dark world from hometown!

do not ask me what this dark world is like. i have No Idea. probably somewhat inspired by kris's life but i have not gone so far as to plot it out lol. the important part is that susie and ralsei split off from noelle (like in cyber city) and so noelle ends up running into kris, who has not only gotten lost but is in WAY over their head lol, so she saves them and kris begrudgingly agrees to stick with her. they totally couldve done this on their own. theyre sticking with noelle for her own safety. and noelle is just like yeah sure lol.

while traveling through the dark world together, noelle and kris have no idea who the other is! not only do they not really remember each other (noelle has a few vague memories, kris was even younger when dess took them so they dont remember anything at all), but they've both grown up a lot and in kris's case are fully presenting as a monster. they bond a bit over both being deer-monsters!

they cant fully communicate, tho...kris would be nonverbal throughout this entire trip and since noelle never grew up with kris she doesnt know monster sign language. she might remember a few words from her childhood but not enough to understand kris and even if she did she is a stranger so kris wouldnt sign OR speak to her anyways lol. but they do help each other out and close the dark world together! they come out in hometown and noelle promises to help kris find their parent cause they did Not mean to come here lol, and that is when! she checks her phone and shes gotten a text from toriel about a missing kid, and she's like....hey so uh i think your parent might actually be at my house lol wanna come by.

(while kris was stuck in the dark world, frisk got Very Worried and did eventually spill everything to chara, and thats how chara and frisk end up in hometown desperately trying to find kris! they come across toriel who helps them out and thats why they're at the holiday-dreemurr house).

and so things are all fun and fine until noelle and kris get back to noelle's house, and go inside, and kris is reunited with chara, and when that happens toriel sees this child and is like. holy shit. is that my dead kid.

and the fic would end there lol! (in my head this is a series, so, it would span multiple fics) another fun thing is this is the moment where noelle learns kris's name--so it wont really be a surprise for the audience cause i feel like most people could catch on that this is kris (remember up til this point we only follow noelle and the hometown crew, so we think dess and kris are dead), but if you didnt...

NOELLE AND DESS

honestly i dont know how noelle would react... i feel like she wouldnt have as big a response as everyone else! to her dess is less a person and more like, the story she's told as to why she cant do all the same things her peers do, why her mom + stepmom are so overprotective, why asriel stayed behind instead of going to college...dess loves noelle but noelle is like literally who are you. so when dess tries to like, bond with noelle, noelle doesnt want this...she grew up without a sister and that bond isnt going to form again! she doesnt know who this woman is!

its. very hard for dess needless to say. and for kris who sees how much dess is investing in noelle and theyre just like. okay well why was she never like that with me. which then leads to tensions between noelle and kris, which pushes kris to make some Very Bad Choices, and and and. plot <3

RALSEI AND SUSIE

actually the relationship ive thought about the least if im being honest. but i was talking about them to you last night and i think that like...there IS a level of antagonism that doesnt exist in deltarune canon. ralsei is trying to hard to stick to the prophecy, and when susie in this story's version of chapter one ignores it to be a villain with lancer, that hits A LOT HARDER in a world where from the very start the prophecy is being broken (since its two monsters who fall lol)

plus ralsei is also dealing with a lot of feelings shes never felt before--jealously, envy, not being able to just ignore her dysphoria anymore...shes a lot more aware of her crush on noelle and so noelle having a crush on susie isnt helping...

LIKE THEY ARE FRIENDS i think ralsei feels a LOT of guilt about all of this, and when its just her and susie things are good! they make sense!!! susie makes her wanna BE things wanna feel like maybe these things she feels are okay...but then everything always comes crashing down and its. bad again.

20. What is your favorite aspect of Danganronpa?

I think both the character designs and character writing has always been one of dr's strong points. The character designs and art style are what particularly drew me in at first. I REALLY appreciate the unique-ness of the art style particularly in the way that the eyes are drawn. The tiny pupil approach is not one you see in anime often at all and it really makes the dr style stand out to me. Maybe its just because I don't give my characters pupils in my art, but i think it looks neat :^)

The character designs, in my opinion, are often immediately engaging and tell a lot about the characters right off the bat. I like chara designs that are a bit more detailed than not, but there is a balance that needs to be struck and i think a lot of dr designs do that for me.

As for the chara writing itself, I think dr does a good job of making something for everyone. Meaning that no matter what tropes you prefer for characters you are likely to find at least one character you enjoy. Yes the charas are trope-y but i think that is 100% fine because there is a good deal of variety to them as well.

January: i didn’t draw anything complete that month.... closest thing i could find to finished is this art i made of my OC, Angelord. man. remember when i drew my OCs? [2023 note: it's..... funny you say that. you would try to start up an original comic for the entirety of next year.... not that it ever came to fruition.]

February: i finished Link’s Awakening that month. i drew Marin bc i thought she was cute. i wish i could get motivated to draw fanart of recent video games i finished more... this is probably the last proper traditional art i made this year... after this, it’s mostly digital.

March: look. i’m attempting anatomy... and i failed lol. i remember being like “how do you draw woman” after drawing this... i mean. i still wanna know how to draw woman, so i guess i haven’t changed lol. [2023 note: I STILL DONT KNOW HOW TO DRAW WOMEN]

April: wait NVM here’s another traditional piece i made this year. he was an adoptable i made... but nobody was interested in them so he’s with me for now. i’ll try and redesign them, either to sell them or to keep him. [2023 note: i never sold this guy.... i was lazy and nobody values points these days. probs for the best because scamming children with virtual coins is probably not a good idea lmao. at the same time, i wish there was an easy way to buy and sell designs+commissions without having to get a credit card or paypal or something.]

May: another month where i didn’t draw anything. buuut i did some plush sketches to reference so das dat. [2023 note: you'll probably be able to name most charas here, but who's the guy i drew the most? that's Matteo, he's a little pink vampire and i made him through Gatcha Life.]

June: ah. the month where i started digital art. this was fanart for my friend’s OC. i didn’t know a lot of features of digital art so it looks like shit LOL not the first digital art i made ever, but it might as well be. [2023 note: i actually received my tablet around 2018, but i never had time to draw on it because i had 1 hour of screentime every day. this restriction was finally lifted in 2020 (because online classes) and i finally had time to venture out into the world of digital art...]

July: i made a lot of stuff this month, but to shorten the list... i finished the plush of my OC, Matteo. i wanna make another plushie... maybe with Suitcase.

this was also the month i joined the OSC... oh hell. it’s been 6 months?? [2023 note: 2 YEARS BITCH. ITS GONNA BE YOUR 3RD ANNIVERSARY if i didn't get so tired and started to hate the community so much.]

Gosh i dont rly appreciate when ppl make jokes using charas from some series but make them insanely ooc for the sake of the joke?

Like sometimes, it’s okay but i see it constantly for a lot of stuff and i’m here like “bro are we looking at the same character??”

Its hard to explain what i mean since it’s kind of broad and i dont want to give super detailed examples here for a reason, but like…

I think its like. If it’s funny, it’s okay? But sometimes, you sort of know when they take a joke super seriously that the charas are now insanely out of character? Like. I get it if you want it to just stay as humor but in a way its also like “but u’re taking this so seriously that idk if i should treat as a joke/not seriously or if i should treat it seriously and say that it doesnt make sense”.

This particular example i mentioned is from a specific experience i had with (name). Like. It was to the point where pointing out that the charas aren’t like that made them sorta give off the vibe of “idc cause its funny to me and i make the rules of my canon. Why so srs lol”. Like thank god they understood what they had in their head is fanon but still its so jarring to me that i didn’t take what they were doing seriously at all. Its funny and nothing made sense but man y’all are really butchering these characters here.

It was something that particularly bothered me since there were a few instances where it went towards being mildly disrespectful of stuff just for the sake of going “haha funny” which HAS irked me on a few occasions.

I have more to say about it where like? They were suggesting a joke about smth i had with a self insert-ish oc and my fave, but it was kind of… poorly explained and i didnt rly liked that? It was a little funny the first time but they kept recycling the joke cause its “comedy” and i actually had an intricate canon that has comedic elements but is otherwise not a product to be solely a comedy or a rom-com even. Like… it’s a funny joke but i also didn’t rly understand why they made the joke like that? So its badly timed. But i didnt rly know how to tell them i didnt really get it and if i can get some clarification at the time so i kinda ended up sounding dry about it after a while. Cause i didnt want to tell them directly to stop since we’re all just chatting and sharing ideas here, but like. It made me uncomfy cause i felt like i’m forced to find it funny or otherwise i’m no fun and boring to talk to. In hindsight, i really should’ve asked honestly?

Like im not rly their friend or talking to them anymore cause it was that former art friend i vented about a while back and they had more going on for them.

But i will say this though, i’m glad i’m not their friend now. Less about their ideas and what they talked about but how they treated me as a person and the way they acted after they cut me off and i did the same?? Like they got insanely paranoid and shit. It was to the point where i am pretty sure someone else talked about it like “i see someone make a whole post about pruning mutuals if ppl dont respond but end up not doing anything about it and im still their mutual anyways” and like… while i get it, it kinda gave me some horrid red flags and also???

Just to talk about this person for a little bit longer before i get back on topic: i unblocked them after almost half a year cause i wasn’t mad at them anymore and they… blocked me back AFTER i unblocked them cause i was looking through some muted accs and shit on twitter to see if i should unmute them or smth and i was like “Bro what???? Gurl why???” Like… how DID u know i unblocked u like huh???? I just blocked them again cause idrc about them but that was sure weird lol

I kinda want to gripe about that more since. Man… that’s kinda unsettling. LIKE i’m flattered that i’m always on their mind, but it was kinda unnerving in some ways cause like it just meant they were potentially stalking me or smth. I wasn’t even chatting with a lot of ppl on twit enough for my tweets to pop up in the algo but who knows??? I just assumed the bitch got me blocked or muted or smth so i am out of sight, out of mind. But that also ended setting off more flags than it should. And when i went to reblock them, they apparently had some read byf thing on their profile which they never had before i blocked them so like honestly, they prolly did it cause they thought i was actually a toxic amurrican out to make a call out post on them or smth. I wouldnt be surprised if they had a dni thing where i’m on the list like namedropped or an oddly specific vague. Like… idk i felt like all their small passive/silent actions and gestures towards me over the past couple years was well…. Reminding me a lot of my exfriend too? Like in a different flavor. I hope they grow out of it cause i dont think they’re a bad person, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now back to the topic— yeah sometimes making some ppl too ooc for the sake of telling a joke rubs off on me wrong? Like how some ppl just take a joke and make it canon now cause it’s funny when it desecrates all the charas stand for 😭

okay so like ima try to be the most chill and unbiased with this review— i read some others that brought up good points that i didnt see at first, so now thats what ima try to do!

-the biggest fan complaint, kenlynn/cool kids/brookji:

alot of fans are super pissed abt this, and at first it didnt make sense but now i can kindaaa? understand it. my general take is that s1 & s2 the kids were just vibin and surviving, getting to know each other and etc. i think kenji started to have a crush on brook esp in s3, since they were paired up/talked a lot (when brook fought with darius, when sammy got posioned, when darius split up with the group to get ben when leaving the island and brook was worried) so they were kinda getting closer and comfotrable with each other already. and like kenji even confirmed in s4, he realized his feelings for brook when she got taken away, hence his fight with darius (i imagine he was super confused n frustrated abt it.. poor boy). and personally at the end of s3 when kenji got mad, i did find that overprotectiveness weird and was kinda thinking it was bc he liked her! so overall the crush reveal was not a surprise, but i was more surprise that it actually happened! as for brooklyn i think her feelings for kenji were never really developed until they got closer in s4; kenji being a doof and possibly his trueself? and realizing how alike they were made her start to like him a bit? and then he semi-admitted he liked her so she got super confused as well (maybe bc she didnt know if it was platonic or romantic). then yasmina basically opened her eyes, and i think after that brooklyn was thinkin a lot, and spending even more time with kenji she realized she liked him as well...

i admit they couldve done better to show brooklyns development into liking kenji in previous seasons, bc tbh i see both darius and brooklyn being equally super chill with everyone (tho im biased for benrius!).

i think bc the season went by super fast unlike previous seasons, it made kenlynn develop fast as well so it didn't look that well written. tbh even i myself was supperrr shocked that they actually made it bf-gf official! i even wouldve been fine with just confirmed crushes this season, but the ship is probably gonna go through it next season (esp considering the plot twist in the end of the last episode... someone protect kenji pls)

but overall, ship it or not, i still dont think fans should be too angry and crazy at kenlynn shippers or the writers etc. like no one knows where this is gonna go, so we'll just have to wait and see. shouldn't we just enjoy it while it lasts? i think kenji and brooklyn need some type of break from the chaos, and if they wanna be together thats fine by me. same for the other kids! i hope if theyre getting romance arcs that itd be similar screentime as kenlynn and maybe even better developed (i still think yasammy is gonna be the finale ship idk..)

one thing i do wish now is that their charas this season werent too much revolved around each other, but ig thats how it goes! at least we learned more abt them both anyway (theyre both lonely and sheltered kids... also, BROOKLYNN HAS DADS!) and yes im ignoring we still dont have a brooklynn last name reveal smh...

as for the age thing.. idk im not bothered tbh. its like what, a 2 year difference? so thats fine by me, i can see it realistically (if it were any bigger i would def understand the isssue). i dont think the writers are intending anything sus for that or anything— as long as these kids are all kids and just vibin im fine with that. kids have crushes, no biggie.

overall not a surprise to me or a bother! next.

-sammy:

i feel like her character is always the same throughout the seasons so i always found her boring and wanted the crew to work on her. this season was alright! its good they didnt let her issue with her fam die down (tbh i almost forgot thats why she came to the camp), her anger moment, although a lil reckless, made sense esp since we already know her fam obvi means the world to her. i liked her realization with the spinoceratops¿ (angel n rebel) was bc of her and her development from pity to saving them was good! still wish they couldve showed more yasammy, but slow and steady wins the race ig! the deal with mantahcorp (idk if thats how u spell it oops) got even bigger now bc of kenjis dad and im scared for her bestie relationship with kenji 😭 im scared for that whole drama in general but with sammy and her fam as a victim... send help to my kids pls!

-yasmina:

a lot of people send she was so out of character this season (mainly with the kenlynn thing) but tbh? i think this version of her is her real self. even tho she was more colder in previous seasons, we're not new to yasmina being a super supportive friend otherwise. and like she said, sammy is the one who brought out those feelings! i really liked this mischeavous side of her, and ben friendzoning her was the funniest thing!

im superrr pleased with the whole PTSD thing. like most kids shows dont take that trauma seriously and just shove it aside. but not jwcc, and thats prob why im so attached to the show is bc they arent afraid to commit (a kids show where people actually die?? coming after my own heart i see...)!!

i know we prob shouldve had more experiences from the other camp fam, but maybe its good they made this a mainly yasmina thing bc we're so used to seeing her be strong for the team. weak yaz make me weak myself... let her sleep pls.

-ben:

bens whole finding out his identity arc was pretty much perfect. im glad they brought up how panicked he was bc he knew isla nublar so well but now he knew nothing and felt like he was reverting back to scared-ben... but we all know that ben is just ben now! i hope he can get more actual moments with the others bc hes been so independent all these seasons (aromantic king maybe..?)!! a lot of fans like him but tbh /dont kill me/ so far he was always my least fav kid out of the crew.. but i did like him more with his whole s3 thing with darius! so maybe just having him spend time with the others and being himself is the key!! (also more benrius moments pls.. theyre such the mom n dad of the group idc what yall say!!) and his ptsd with the pterodactyl or whatev things? it hurted but im happy he was able to fight back this time!!

-darius:

i didnt get fans complaint with his arc this season at first but after reading some reviews, now i do a bit! now in weirded out as to why darius has like 0 trauma.. maybe its bc he loves dinos so much that overall it doesnt bother him? esp bc dinos are what connects him to his dad the most and etc... and i saw people talk abt him being super leader-y this season but i didnt see much of a difference? he was always the one everyone looked to for answers so i wasnt surprised that he made his own decisions again— everyone still trusts him and knew what he chose was the right thing to do. but they didnt tell him abt their ptsd so obviously darius wouldnt know abt it bc all of their bonds are so strong that i think darius trusted them to tell him anything (but since they didnt he was obv blinded to their true feelings??). and surprisingly a lot of fans seemed to think he was out of character or smth when choosing the phone over the dinos? but i think it was good development bc it showed that even tho he loves dinos to death, he would still do anything for his friends (esp bc they told him they had ptsd). im glad in how he handled it!

one thing i agree on with others is that he definitely deserved some more screentime. mainly with the other kids, and less solo screentime, like the other seasons!... yes i admit, kenlynn and kenji did overshadow him a lot, but at least i believe its to build up the plot twist in the end for kenji and onto the next season (maybe theyre giving each kid arcs? and s1 was mainly darius's? idk tbh!)

i loved how darius handled kash— who i hate and pls let big eatie eat him already...

darius is just so smart and damn im jealous! that kid can think fast and improvise like breathing, no surprise he's the leader (and brooklyn being second in command to the group was very interesting).

-mae was a fine character! i like how quirky she is, and finally not an evil or dead adult 😭 but it was funny how even so she still got injured and was out of commission the whole time... can someone just save my kids and not die, pls theyre too traumatized!! (ps where are the camp counselors who i 100% forgot their names— are the gonna come back or naw...)

-i agree with others, kash is a weak villain. but tbh i feel like he was that annoying and ridiculous to just blind us with the ep11 plot twist aka the REAL villain¿ (i keep mentioning this but ill talk abt it soon i swear). the robots were boring i do admit as well, maybe it wouldve been better if they were like.. dino robots? to help with the island but also be disguised with the other dinos? idk tbh!

-darius's brother who i forget his name... im rootin for him obv! maybe he'll get the camp counselors to help him out and they'll slowburn their way to help the kids? i hope we get more of the mainland stuff bc like.. is no one worried that 6 kids are still missing from the island??! like maybe they do think theyre dead after all (which angsty thats so rude im cryin) but is there like really nothing they can do? get chris pratt on the case already!!!

-and lastly? i think? EP 11/SEASON ENDING. how dare you. how dare you!!! like ive seen other peoole say that they guessed it, but i legit had 0 clue bc i literally never think abt the adult characters period.. BUT HOW DARE YOU ANYWAY!! so ya.. kenjis dad— i can't even say it. I WAS NOT SEEING THAT. like even rewatching that episode i still gasp like ive never seen it bc its so unreal to me... its so good. it pretty much made up whatever complaints i had before! first "appearance" i literally was like who tf is 'daniel' (bc the subs) and i thought it wouldve been a character they already introduced previously! but ig technically they have (even tho i didnt know his connection to kenji until he literally said dad..).

im super hyped for the next season esp bc of this.. LIKE KENJI IS GONNA GO THROUGH IT! who he'll have to choose, the dino and camp fam or his actual dad... and again sammys reaction? i am not ready. like maybe theyll handle it easy and let mrkon have a change of heart bc of his son, but i also really want them to spice it up and make him a serious villain? (ik whats wrong with me) but like consider the contrast itll be compared to darius's dad... like darius and kenji can have a real test of their bond bc of this... and yes i also feel like this will test kenlynn, bc just kenjis dad being here just changes the whole game in general. like will kenji be reverted back to his selfish n spoiled ways and it'll cause a rift between him and brook/campfam?? theres too many questions and possibilities... WHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN?? im so worried..

and i know kenji is a fan favorite, so i wish people were freaking out more over this than ships...

(the proposal season, idk the number anymore)

there are 3 mildly interesting “garbage” CGs:

the first one is a marriage form where Eisuke already signed his name. ure supposed to fill out everything else, which AHEM IF I RECALL CORREKLLIE that is inconsistent with the proposal season where it was the other way around and MC was supposed to just sign it!! literally unplayable

the second is an “Eisuke Schedule” where it details what he does in a specific week + a memo. the events imply that it’s the same week that occurs in Part I as it notes meeting with both families and finding a very good breeder for the rabbits. i think the latter is supposed to be what leads to their second rabbit (in Part I, they get a second rabbit bc it seems like eisuke might have been worried that Maron might be lonely) anyway most of that week is unsurprisingly just lots of work (meetings with others, administrative work, etc.)

third CG has the rest of the main cast (of the OG 5) make comments about what they think about Eisuke finally getting married. it’s cute but also just kinda w/e bc it’s so short

anyway, onto the stories:

A Love Between a Married Couple that Could Even Melt Snowy Mountains: they go to Canada to go ski. he teaches her and it is cute. further shows he is moderately pleasant to the people he likes, it’s just that that list of ppl is incredibly small then a blizzard starts and theyre pretty much stuck in their lodge. then they fuc with her on his lap. yea hot mm if u like that sorta thing, the eisuke bonus story on hikaru’s otona love story is similar (where mc is on top). too bad it’s like… a $6 thing and it’s just a single mini-story with the main course, the hikaru story. hikaru story is still good obv but i know most kbtbb are usually single chara stans

 Recently, whenever I feel bored, I will always go to the painting room and daydream while staring outside the window. I don’t know if Deemo is reading now as I can’t hear any sound from the piano. It makes me feel lonely.

 “Outside seems cold…”

 I can’t stand this empty silence. I can’t see anything no matter how hard I observe. The fog is just too thick. This is just something I don’t understand. But if I were to look out the window, my heart would also calm down a bit.*

 *(TN: To be honest this part I find it a bit hard to properly translate it without losing its original meaning, its written as 但是只要望着窗外，就会觉得内心似乎也稍微沉静了下来。Basically in a sense means as long as she look outside the window, she will feel a bit at peace with her heart…)

 That’s right….it have been quite some time since I came here… What sort of place this is I still don’t get it.

 Ever since coming here, I been thinking of the same question. Even Deemo and Masked Lady didn’t tell me anything (about this world). When I don’t even know my own name how can I even know what sort of place this is?

 Even though sometime I have such a thought, but for such a realistic place to be a dream is unbelievable. Let’s say that if this place is a dream, then maybe the real world itself has already collapsed and become this place.

 ----I Miss home….

 This thought have been getting more and more intense recently. But how did I come here? Where is my home? Why can’t I remember anything? I have too many things I dont understand. 

 “if I climb through the window, can I really return home…?”

 I don’t think that this is like a fairy tale. Because I cant even imagine my home being on the other side of the window. But I can strongly feel that on the other side of the window, is a world different from this place. It’s a world that I am familiar with.

 But somehow, I also feel that the world on the other side is also no longer the world that I’m familiar with. It may be a world filled with dreams; it may also be a world filled with sadness. I feel that the other world might be either one of this two possibilities.

 Right now, I can’t even reach the window, so there’s no use thinking about what kind of world is it on the other side. All I can do now is let the tree listen to Deemo’s performance and grow. Although, it seems that from the moment I was born, I have heard Deemo’s performances before. Like a very long time ago, that music is a part of me.

Sometime later, I suddenly have this thought. Maybe just for once, I also want to play like Deemo. The dreamy, gentle music. Also maybe if I play, the tree might grow even taller.

 I instantly turn and start to move towards the tree room. However, just right outside the (painting) room entrance, I saw something shiny fall down. I slowly walked towards it and the floor is filled with blinking rainbow-like colors glass fragments. But I remember…these fragments weren’t here the day before.

 (But..there isn’t any thing that have been broken…why would this fragments suddenly appear…?)

 Just as I muttered to myself, it seems like some sad event has happened in the past suddenly flashed past like a marquee, hitting my chest and for a moment I find it hard to breath.

 (What is this pain…?)

 I don’t understand. But maybe my memory is slowly returning bit by bit.

 (I don’t know why I have this feeling….)

 But every time I try to think of it, my whole body will be in pain…like I was hit by something hard.

 (Anyway…lets clear away these broken fragments. It would be bad if I accidentally step on it)

 In order to protect those important hands from getting hurt, I carefully pick up the pieces together. Like the tire, I throw them out from the big window. The glass fragments glittering slowly as they fall to the end of the world.

Meet the new Cho Kamiyama!

I didn't really like my old design of her. In general I liked the design, but I felt like it needed tweaking. So I gave her longer hair, black trims on her coat and little fluff (like the ones real life moths do) i used the old mothra's palette for her coat (with aspects of her 2019 one) and I using the 2019 colours as a inspo for her wings. (I'm going to make her gloves lighter because blend in with the back trims of her sleeves.

Here are the couple of things I used for reference:

Shinobu Kocho was also a huge inspiration. (Not as huge as she used to be, which I think was a good thing, but still there).

And for once, I drew a character with their weapon. I forget or don't draw characters with their weapons because one:

I am a forgetful bitch with terrible character designs

And 2. Im horrible at drawing weapons.

Where did I get the braid from? Well, @hopeaterart 's mothra had a braid in her design, so im adding it because her designs are better than mine and I think it fits the character.

And for some reason, my mind gravitated towards figure skaters for this one, I don't know why,maybe because they look elegant and dance beautifully and it fits with her fighting style?

So anyway, I made her wear a skater skirt. Fun fact: skater skirts weren't named after angsty teens skateboarding, they named after figure skaters and there flowy skirts. Ballerina skirts also stuck with me because of Weiss schnee. You know in the white trailer where lands and her skirt is just flowy and light in material ( I dont know how to describe it)? That's what I wanted Cho's skirt to be like.

This is also why I made her wear tights. She wouldn't want to flash someone while fighting, and now I'm just thinking about the enemies targeting her legs when fighting.

The hair was the biggest problem for me. At first I wanted it to look like a Bob and underneath it is a braid going down (I hope it makes sense) but I couldn't make it work out when I tried to draw it.

Now you may be wondering: shouldn't she have four arms? Yes, I included it, but I made her hide her lower arms. I didn't want to draw a coat with four sleeves.

For the tights, I included in the design because I was looking at some mothra gijinkas and I saw one with her and Rodan fighting and she had the same tights. I ended up including it in the design.

The coat is simple: I kept on drawing her with a haori in my sketchbook, and I thought: what if she buttoned up the haori? And then I started drawing her like that ever since.

The orange blush around her face and eyes is also simple: I took it from my pfp.

The gloves? I thought why wouldn't mothra wear gloves?

The black trim? That's from Weiss's shirow miwa design.

Fun fact:. Cho carries a Jian. I thought of this while I was on the demon slayer amino and an oc had a Jian, which noted that it was great for stabbing and thrusts. I thought of using a rapier but I ended up with a Jian. And I thought of using a katana, but I wanted different variety in weapons. Sort of like rwby did before they started creating boring ones.

I probably shouldve included It at the references paragraph, but I looked at a lot of mothra gijinkas before the final product. It's probably unprofessional but it helped me a lot to find out which things I liked and didn't like about my designs. And mostly, I think Cho looks like her own character with a bit of her own allusions to the kaiju she's based on. And I didn't copy any of the gijinkas I based her on. (Maybe the tights but-)

Sadly, (for the ones who end up adoring the design) Cho won't be wearing this for a while. When I start posting the comic/manga, the focus will be on her training and trying to get into the guild, so she'll be wearing normal clothes for a while. But I swear I'll make sure the same effort I put into her work outfit, will be put into the normal clothes.

26. About your favorite Division - why do you love them?

Dhjdjd jejeje ok so I'm going to do all 3 again bc I like rambling.

I had mentioned matenro a bit before so hopefully this will be short. Well I like how nice they're, lol they all just want a good life and to chill and hang out and have fun, that's sweet. I find the religious motifs super interesting and that weird idea they seem to have with like repenting and owing people a lot of things. Lol is a little unhealthy so I find it super interesting. I like how supportive hifumi and jakurai are of doppo and how encouraging they are with each other. They have a lot of trust and I like how on board hifumi is about murdering doppos boss lol.

I love mtc bc I just love all of them, their personalities are all so funny, I like how their all so like fighty, like even if jyuto and rio seem more tame they're always down for the brawl, they're just really similar while being super different. I like how they just seem to understand each other well, their motivations and the values they carry, they respect that. How good friends they are and how much they value that friendship and each others happiness, they are very willing to take that L for each other. They are so caring and worry for the other so much!!! Even if it's on that subtle off hand way you can very much tell. Their songs are good, they're silly and I like how they're like "oooooh were so tough" I find it super funny, and it's also really cool. Yes you are so tough ooooo. I like how since samatoki and rio are more similar they bring way more trouble to jyuto lol, and I like how despite how much jyuto complains he really loves mtc and sticks with them anyways. BB: we all know I headcanon BB as Puerto Rican so another one is that they're all nonbinary!! Rei is also puerto rican since hes is bbs father and all that, so then when all of dotsuhon go out drinking rei and sasara have this bad tendency of speaking only in spanish to each other and rosho gets very pissed bc he doesnt understand anything. With that and the fact that I said dotsuhon matenro line up would be fun, but hifumi sasara and rei all talk in spanish while jakurai, doppo and rosho sit there like 😶😐🧍🏽‍♂️(I'm sorry for side lining them but this is so funny)The real reason why dotsuhon lost is bc they do a pelea de canchinflines fight to decide the winner and since Rosho has never done that it doesnt go too well. (Can be headcannon)     this isn't a "least fav" so much as "it makes me sad" but if either of them showed any sign of not being interested anymore the other is more likely to give up then push anything. sort of like "it was bound to happen, so i'll enjoy now until they drop me" or EVEN WORSE they think the other would be better off without them and pushes them away. so yeah the fact i can see one of these happening makes me sad.

If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together?     they give off "everyone knows we're dating but us" energy but at the same time i feel like they'd acknowledge there's something and just not define it bc a) they don't need to (misumi) or b) they're too nervous to (kazu). in other words i think one day they are holding hands and misumi says "kazu? is this dating?" and kazu holds his breath before asking "do you want it to be?"

Why?     OOOOOH BOY well. i think it could be either of them. i don't think they'd break up for lack of love but too much love and wanting the other to be happy and thinking that the only way to give them that is to let them go. so i guess the question is which of them would be more likely to be selfish and hold on. thinking this way, i think misumi would be more likely to break-up, bc kazu has lots of friends who are better than him!! and misumi is more ready to leave if he thinks he needs to than kazu is. now im sad.

What made you decide to ship them?     TBH I FINISHED THE MAIN STORY AND WENT "OH MY GOD... THAT'S MY SHIP" but now that i'm here i continue to ship them because they have the potential to bring out both the best and the worst in each other and i'm all about that

lol you thought there would just be 21 ANYWAY EXTRA 1: how do they spend breaks/vacation?    they'd travel a lot when they're older!! kazunari loves to travel and misumi would follow kazunari anywhere (also, new triangles!!) so they go somewhere new whenever they have the time. however i think eventually one or both of their future careers will take them anywhere and everywhere anyway, so their "ideal vacation" might turn into an evening in, cuddling and catching up (as if they didn't already send play-by-play updates over the phone of whatever they did during the day)

EXTRA 2: first date?     i don't they ever have an explicit first date, but if asked they'll cite the time they had a picnic in the park turned triangle hunt turned accidental dip in the duck pond. at least, kazunari will. misumi just tilts his head and wonders what you mean.

EXTRA 3: gifts?     IM FEELING REALLY CHEESY SO I'M MAKING THIS ABOUT ANNIVERSARY GIFTS they both end up getting each other jewelry (although kazu was really really nervous bc he wasn't sure if misumi would wear it). kazu gets misumi a bracelet (with triangles, of course although misumi only wears it sometimes because he doesn't want to lose it) and misumi gets kazu a pair of triangle earrings "so we can match!" and kazunari combusts at the implications

EXTRA 4: sharing clothes     THEY'RE ACTUALLY AROUND THE SAME SIZE (and tend to wear baggier stuff barring kazu's skinny jeans)... but they have completely different Styles so it's still really obvious when steal each other's stuff ahdjajdkaf. as cute as kazu would look in sumi's sweatshirt i think the much more likely scenario is kazu wrapping misumi in his jackets because this boy nEVER BRINGS HIS ANYWHERE anyway just. accidental shared wardrobe misukazu.

When your tired after a 16hr shift yesterday so you rant about Sonic and explain why aggressive writing vs. neutral writing helps with sharing ideas

Me and my online Sonic friend talking about Belle.  (I’m skipping some dialogue throughout the chat, this was lazily put together lol)

WARNING: It’s long, and it’s a rant. So please note that I’m blatantly aware of how wrong my aggressive, sleep-deprived rant was and that I’m stating “DON’T PRESENT YOUR IDEAS LIKE THIS!” because this is not a healthy nor effective way of sharing ideas.

ALSO, ALL THE MENTIONS OF WHAT I BELIEVE MY FRIEND IS FEELING OR THINKING DURING MY RANT ARE ENTIRELY MY OPINON. If she tells me to delete something or change it I will without hesitation but I find it funny, as I look back, to insert what I think might be going on in her mind XD She might have been oblivious to me but I’ll get her thoughts and change anything if necessary.

It’s also how most trolls and antis and even some ‘not experienced writers’ write their ideas out, and it can be easily avoided by using Neutral Writing Methods. So this is a ‘don’t do this, but try this’ post. Enjoy my badly written, sleepy aggressive rant~<3 (Also, my friend gave me permission to share this lol)

Me: She could be for entertaining little kids. But we already have too many OCs, and they're not 'dying off' any time soon so...I smell a mini-series backup plan...and I don't like what that means for Sonic. And it is cute, sorry, my brain is off the hook right now, I'll keep things to myself cause you may not like what I'm predicting and I'm getting sad thinking about it ;-; so, want to be wrong.

That's precious, but can I get a link to the reference sheet plz? Reference sheets can tell a lot about a chara's functionality if you compare it to the 'needs' of the casts. it can help predict their role. I think she's meant to help but also entertain the kids, maybe planted with a secret. Her goal could be to come back to Mr. Tinker but Eggman abuses that and tricks her into a new robot. I got a weird theory about her but I'll just say that she's probably gonna go a bit dark. But be cute and make the audience go, "Aww, poor thing! She's a cinnamon roll" at first, wonder if they'll equip her with 'happy backstory, tragic ending' kinda thing to switch the usual 'tragic backstory happy ending' but I feel this is a tragic character meant to pull emotion out.

(Friend understands my concerns but mentions there hasn’t been a ‘Bad’ Oc for the comic)

No one sets out to create a 'bad character' especially professional writers like these guys. But what makes a character 'bad' is if you ruin or oversaturate their purposes. If she's a main character that over-shines others with too much story then the audience feels 'betrayed' because they want that screen time for the main casts to express themselves and shine through. That's just an example. When working with IPs like Sonic casts, you HAVE to remember the fanbase is expecting things Do you like my OCs? be honest lol Not from my prompts. There's a specific way to handle a OC that helps the main cast shine and reveals their characters more. AU Ocs help Canon Characters in many ways.

Oh, well, some of my fanfictions have OCs, not Lavinya, she's just a mascot. My Sonic OC that retried XD Sorry, I'm misspelling a lot but I hope you don't mind, my spellcheck sucks and I've given up on it lol Oh, so you don't know Harmony, Ol'Wizzy, and Data?Or the Metal Series? Well, there are specific Ocs that my readers like and they express/compliment the canon characters to where even though they're a main character, they don't intervene with the Main Cast's goals. They actually help. Then everything I'm gonna say won't have much merit so I'll just focus on waiting to see if my predictions for Sonic IDW will come true, but I really hope they don't do what it looks like they strategically might be pulling... I hate SEGA marketing- 

(The beginning of my aggressive rant, please note that I’m not thinking about my image and am writing tired and lazy. This is an example of how NOT to express your opinions in negative ways. It doesn’t influence good at all.)

Their ploys are outdated and frankly, do not work for their IPs market. They target the wrong age group, they have no idea how to organize themselves, and they don't have a leading 'elder' so to speak (just a professional among them) to make good calls. So you have young adults (not super professionals, this might be their first real company job) trying to target internet culture and failing their IPs. They're doing outdated Nintendo tactics that only worked for NINTENDO! Also some other companies that have DIED so why are you copying their marketing strats!? stop! lol

Friend: Did you study marketing because this entire convo kinda flew over my head in terms of understanding (This should have indicated to me that my words were coming off too factual and had too many ‘jargons’ going on. I was losing my ‘reader’ through my rant, but my tired brain would not cease!)

Sonic's trying to morph into something he's not and they're following outdated college course books and it's not gonna help... they're leading Sonic further down and the creators in japan have no power cause all the power is in the stock holders who are stupid money-hungry americans who have lost faith in American SEGA leading SEGA of Japan to move on to other things

Friend: mostly just got you don’t like the marketing (Huge red flag! This means my friend is starting to tune my info out, it’s because I’m presenting my ideas in a slightly aggressive writing style. There are trigger words here that lead an reader to start doubting you. This is why, in most of my answer posts, I make sure to write Neutral writing methods, but I’ll mention that more after my rant lol XP)

It's just bad. Lol I have a Frankenstein degree, (Now I’m justifying myself, which was caused by my aggressive approach. If I simply stated this in a more ‘neutral writing method’ then I wouldn’t have to worry about creditability claims because I’m not trying to sell my idea as the high authority on it.) which means I have knowledge on many different fields. I never took a fully -dedicated- 'marketing class' I took a lot of different communication classes that went to my overall major. One was directly about how you present, sell, and look at marketing tactics. So I have my fingers in many different fields, my major was "Creative Writing for Fiction and Film with an Emphasis in Video Production and a Cluster in Theatre Arts." So I can be on camera, off camera, post and pre production, creative table and actual filming. Does that make sense? (I’m not fully awake to realize what I’m writing, but it’s clear at this point I’m starting to wake up and realize I’m ranting and tossing my ideals of how to present ideas out the window, but let’s watch my follies and learn from them, shall we?) I have theories on what SEGA is going to do, and I have my worries because it's all outdated. It worked for older companies but those companies also targeted a varying audience, which SEGA refuses to see themselves as for a 'teenage audience' which is exactly why they boomed in the 90s. Their target audience is now 20s.

Friend: There are Kids who also like Sonic, even if they don’t play the games though. (Due to my aggressive tactics from not thinking clearly about, not just the what, but the HOW I’m writing, it has turned my friend into a ‘contrasting neutrality’ which is amazing by the way that she did this! She noticed my writing was turning aggressively ranting, and being my friend, didn’t want to be rude about what she was noticing. -I’m guessing lol- so instead, she took the commentary approach, which is to state the good as well. This is a terrible position to put your reader into, and you should make sure to always have good examples and good praise mixed in to contrast any opposing or aggressive statements you ever make. -though you should avoid aggressive writing at all times- Sadly, this does put the reader, in this case my friend, in a very vulnerable position. It leaves them open for attack... but thankfully, she’s a wonderful friend and had trust that I wouldn’t hurt her on her counter-follow-up.)

So instead of using their 40 to 50 year old charts, start with looking at early millennial trends and desires. They tried for 'angst' to 'adultify' Sonic but it busted because we are STICKLERS for animation. Because their story was so scrapped together and had no actual character depth, motivation, or even emotional growth to develop for future game lore, they went for the 'easy made game' (Easy baked oven quote lol that’s just mean XD) We loved the trailer, it was well made, but they threw their animators elsewhere and made the programmers (WHO BLANATLY ADMIT THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DO STORY/GRAPHICS) and made them do things they aren't trained in. Those micro-head movements and mouths took them A LONG TIME to figure out.

(My friend is now agreeing with me several times through my rant. This is a tactic that is used as ‘avoidance’ but also for ‘appeasement’. She’s probably tuned out by now, but respects what I’m saying but is also incredulous at it as well. It’s fair, I’ve cornered her into my sleepy-time rant, and being the lovable woman that she is, she is simply waiting for me to realize my follies lolol I wish she would have told me but I think she knew I was beyond ‘logical reasoning’ at this point and was just letting me get it all out lolol What a good friend TDT)

Animation can't be learned that fast AND expect them to program a game AT THE SAME TIME. Sonic Forces was a 'split up SEGA' trying to get those who survived and said, "Yeah, I'll stay in this job." to do things that THEY AREN'T EVEN TRAINED IN. you put a game programmer on animation and some other stuff they didn't know what to do with and expect it be a top-notch seller.

Friend: (in more attempts to join in and be a ‘participant’ of the conversation I’m clearly dominating -MY ABSOLUTE BAD- she tried to engage normal conversation flow into the discussion again. At this point, she probably did notice I wasn’t my usual self, and just decided to play along and enjoy the ride lolol I’m just guessing this tho, but it’s a good chance to reflect on what ‘wrongs’ I was doing and what ‘rights’ she was doing during this situation ;)b) My big issue with SEGA is that they rush everything. A lot of things would’ve been better if they had the proper time.

That was resolved actually.

Friend: Oh? It was? (Although this looks like an encouragement, it’s actually just another avoidance tactic to help me ‘get the venting out’ but it’s clear she’s not fully onboard anymore. When you write to discuss, you have to leave room for other’s opinions to shine through as well. Healthy conversation doesn’t mean forcing the other person to comply to you. A lot of this is educated guess based on past research, she knows this, and it’s clear she’s got her own research. Please remember to never shoot someone down when they try to engage you in your conversations. But again, this is the ‘don’t do this’ and me upset at my tired self for not waking up fast enough to contemplate how I was coming across in my wordings. Let’s continue to investigate and dissect the train wreck, shall we?)

That was an issue a few years ago but SEGA is taking their time, it's just that they can't organize themselves and hire the right professionals. They have old tactics, they have rookies that aren't 'Fresh Blood with professionalism' like they need. They don't need an old fart who knows his stuff, they need a new guy who is dedicated and passionate about their company who will remain there, learn them in and out, and knows his stuff SPECIFICALLY for the things SEGA needs. You have to grow that. You have to hire a very talented and young spunky and fresh professional, have him work with you for 10-15 years, and start training others. But SEGA is already recognized as a 'established' company.

(Friend is still agreeing with me, but is aware of my way of presenting it isn’t “As nice as I usually present it” so she starts mentioning the symptoms of Japanese Work Culture. A wonderful, insightful point to mention! But let’s see how I butcher this as well...)

It's not Japan though! (Again, shutting her down. Tsk tsk, sleepy me. Wake up, you lazy bum.) They won't let Japan interfere! They're all really rude to japan actually. The guys in charge, anyway. We all respect the officials, but SEGA of America people just want results. They are just funders, they don't actually work the company.

Friend: So you blame them for everything? (She’s trying to help me see that my writing is coming off as ‘hate’ which is because of my aggressive writing follies I’m doing so bluntly. Let’s please all admire my friend’s patience as she lets me rant and kindly waits for me to realize how bad I’m handling my 16 hr shift from yesterday lolol)

Look, business is really unfair, and I get that, but if I have to rant (I’m starting to wake up more, oh goodie.) I'd say they really need to humble themselves and ask Japan to please take ownership again. They kicked out people due to a money crisis but they need a game that will be 'safe to secure money but get enough excited momentum to help us push on and continue.' which isn't Japan's strategy usually. Japan likes risks, they also like money too. They trust America too much (especially in the beginning) because America is a HUGE consumer. For the world in fact. But I think they sacrificed too much for the company (common in Japan) and trusted America too much in making decisions. The officials are too nice to say that America screwed them over because America wanted full control. Well guess what? They have too much control now and their product is sinking..

Friend:  You’ve got a lot of fire about this topic. (After I completely disregarded reading her follows-ups and continued to rant, my unconditionally kind friend finally threw in the towel, realizing I was no where near my usually ‘present’ self and was probably just flopped back in her chair smiling at my idiocy of not understanding her kind and subtly hints.) Go ahead and rant it out. (BOOM! Obvious right!? I should have corrected myself but at this point, I was writing like wild fire with droopy, waking up eyes and didn’t even read it during my long paragraphs...)

Sonic won't ever fade away due to it's fans, but the company is struggling to figure itself out for YEARS now. I just worry what they plan to do next. But I have a theory that they are really putting the next game in Japan's hands, a lot of activity is happening in SEGA of Japan, and they're spending WAY MORE TIME on the next installment of Modern Sonic (or Classic, still unsure which one it is yet.) I really think they need a remake game to give them profit, then use that profit for their next big installment. But so far, I think they are working on a game BUT corona might have effected production so I'm sure they are working but I'm concerned if Corona helped manage 'time and quality' or is helping to ruin it...That I can't investigate yet :( I just wish for the best (I’M FINALLY WAKING UP FULLY AS I STOP AND REALIZE-) Sorry for my rant! My theory talk showed through and I don't usually like doing that so forgive me. I'm tired and that's why T-T

OHhhh did he mention the arcade crash??? the literal WORST event in SEGA history??? That's literally where they sank the titanic, SEGA has never recovered from selling off their stocks. (I’M BACK AT IT AGAIN. -facepalm-) Shareholders are everything now and it's the biggest loss ever. Also, the problem is that kids don't play the games, (Rereading my follies and wanting to answer but still only just waking up...) but SEGA can't figure out why they like the characters and can't seem to take the FREAKIN' TIME to learn their lore. (Overwhelming the conversation again.) My easy steps: Re-establish Sonic lore CANONLY AND CORRECTLY, Re-gather the Japanese Officials original plans and notes, guides and study art, Re-make some popular games with the most details on Animation, Fluidity of motion graphics, and with modern Technology incorporated into the game. Once that is accomplished, they will have enough money to then- Create a continuity. Only with a flowing story and relevant past lore can they start moving forward. Animation will target their audience, Story and character re-established arcs will bring nostalgia and new blood to the field of their games, and then Japan's influences will keep it authentic for the continuities so we don't have fandom mixing with canon NEARLY AS BADLY as before anymore. Ugh, it does matter their sales, but I literally bought a book on the history of SEGA, and read a really compelling history article about more then just the Console Wars... I know SEGA has survived literally the edge of extinction on multiple fronts, but someone needs to take charge of their Sonic branch, and it's... it's just too outdated. kk, sorry for the rant.

Lol you had to have seen how slightly aggressive it was tho. (I’M CALLING YOUR BLUFF, BESTIE lol) You literally asked, "You blame America for it?" which is not always true but semi-true. They were way too prideful (Aggressive word) and haughty (Still aggressive terminology) about their success in other Japanese products that they wanted to completely change Sonic to their own wishes, pushing out Japan's creative "licenses" (I use this word loosely, and this gives a slightly aggressive feel but is also more dumbed down so it's more 'passionate' than just aggressive)

Gotta use those neutral tactics or no one will feel comfortable just reading your idea and instead, will constantly look for a place to intercept with aggression back, whether they agree or not, they're looking for ways to self-insert their aggression if you are also aggressive. I can't write something that doesn't somewhat support and uplift SEGA of America. Why? Because like I said, they literally have survived EVERYTHING and have stuck around. Without them, there wouldn't be an American branch and the money issue would have ended SEGA. Some might say, "But they've done so much harm than good! America does have it's advantages in some fields and areas, but their biggest most redeeming quality is that they saved SEGA which gave us our biggest love and obsession: Sonic. Now, my usage in that writing was still off neutral, but combined with the slightly aggressive statements, made a GREAT contrast. Yeeeahhh I've noticed that Nintendo is starting to trail into 'cash grab' tactics and that's sickening (MORE AGGRESSIVE WORDING??? HAVE YOU NOT LEARNED YOUR LESSON CHILD?! It takes time to fully wake up lolol) cause before, I literally thought, "Nintendo can do no wrong" their marketing was ON POINT! but the stuff they said about Peach and now... I think new, unprofessional blood (like SEGA) has entered Nintendo and the older guys are either 'training' or 'retired to other ventures'. Nintendo is having it's own 'we used to not be prideful but now we're getting a little too pompous (Another aggressive wording... This can easily trigger people to comment with further aggression either against you or for you, but no aggression is the ideal. Which is continuing to show my lack of remaining conscious lol) about ourselves' and they're starting to act like Disney before their big crash. Disney also had 'limited time offers' with their VHS movies. Now, Nintendo is doing that. They'll make money, but at what cost? When you lose your costumer's trust...

Friend: And yeah the 35th Mario thing immediately reminded me of the Disney vault

Me: Yep. I'm worried for Nintendo. Don't get me wrong! Disney is really good with money grabs, but they... they also act high and mighty (More aggressive statements, wake up, darn it!!!) and their fanbase literally calls them 'an empire' so the fan-trust is gone. That makes you 'lame/outdated' and fans begin to look for 'what's cool?' instead.

(Friend is now re-realizing I’m ‘in and out’ so is trying to use a effective avoidance tactic by asking about different things to help my ranting fully stop.)

Sorry, I'm tired, I get on these rants and I don't mean too. (Trying to shake myself awake again.) I'm sorry.

So we returned to a healthy conversation, but I hope this interesting insight has revealed how to and what not to do about Aggressive Writing. Always stick to Neutral writing if you can, putting in a compelling counter-argument. In this aggressive writing demo, you saw that I tried to cover up my follies by saying counter-praise, but praise writing can be just as bad as aggressive writing. Passive writing can sometimes be annoying (aggressive word choice) too if you come off as disinterested or uncaring, which can still result in negative comments coming at you, or someone overly praising in their writings.

This has been all I’m showing you cause it’s kinda embarrassing ^^; but I hope it helps you in what ‘not to do’ while writing your ideas out :)b

The King and his Aid

Chapter 11: My happy end

This is, according to Ao3, the longest series I’ve written so far, coming at roughly 45K. I’m actually extremely happy with this end. Most of the time I’m mad because I’m unsure of how to end it, but while finishing up on the fanfic “Let’s talk” a oneshot I’ll be posting next week, it hit me and it was perfect.

This ending is a near complete closure, and actually loops back to the very first chapter if you want to read it again. I honestly wanted to cry rereading the last bit of it. Hope you enjoy! Also, tell me how you liked the series, I’d love some asks :)

Previous - First (Season 1) - First (Season 2)

While it may sound weird, almost getting caught for being gay was probably one of the best days in his life. Setting in motion so many things that made his life amazing. While they did have to travel and move ridiculously far from where they first arrived in america-classic definitely not happy with being stuck in a small kennel for some of the train rides. Hopping on and off of them to get across the country, but eventually, they did settle down again.

After months, they did find a small town that spread for miles of farmland, and with their leftover money, they bought several large acres of land in the backroads, hidden away by a long trek of trees with plenty of lands for them to start anew. On top of that, this time they didn’t need to worry about a house, a large farmhouse with an even bigger barn nearby. Plenty of rooms for them all, Gary and Roger following with them across the country, not wanting to lose either of them.

Years passed as they built up their farm, and one day, a runaway came, asking for help. Only wishing for shelter that night and nothing more, with some talking, the child ending up staying with them for much, much longer.

Tomas became their child, also unsure of their gay relationship at first, but quickly warming up to them and soon calling them his parents. More years passed, and his brother visited. The cousins finally met, and thankfully, Tomas and Martin got along wonderfully, despite some age difference.

There was good news that his brother and in-law brought with them however, Dean had stepped down, and in his place Martin was coronated and quickly changed all the absurd laws they had. Why did they even have a law about not being able to fish on the back of an animal? Nothing Martin could find gave any reason to have it!

Mainly, Martin changed all the laws on what he had found was called the LGBT+ community. It was nice to be able to call it something. To say they were apart of LGBT+, to know they weren’t the only ones out there that had to hide their lives away. Even better, Cecil was able to officially come out to the kingdom, and much like Edwin did when Neil was sick, basically give a giant middle finger to the court.

While Cecil was unable to show his true gender outside the kingdom, within the kingdom he was greatly accepted. A lot of the elders not understanding, but due to Martin pulling strings since he was young and able to understand the subject, near every adult and every child accepted him. With Ian as head, changing all the laws and putting new ones in place to protect LGBT+ was the easiest thing in the world!

Despite Dean’s pestering, and the new law that Martin helped to make, he stayed at the farmhouse. Whether he could legally be with Edwin or not in his home kingdom, this is where he belonged. It wasn’t too long after, that, with more than likely Dean and Cecil’s help by looking at the ring, Edwin proposed to him. They may never be able to get married, but being able to simple think that Edwin is his fiance was more than enough.

Then, something amazing happened. Across the world, laws started changing, although Martin was quick to correct him that they had been changing for ages some years, using evidence of prospering cities states and countries elsewhere with open LGBT+ communities to the court a big factor in allowing him to change the law in the first place.

Even better: The area Neil and Edwin lived in became an open community, and they began to plan their wedding near immediately.

“Do I look okay?” His brother laughed.

“Neil, never change.” Dean continued to chuckle, Cecil joining in, “You look perfect.” The former King continued as Cecil walked up, fixing his suit and making sure it was straight.

“Ce, I know you’re trying, but, I don’t think no matter how you try. It’s not gonna be straight.” Cecil gave Neil a knowing look, accompanied by a few more chuckles, “That suit treating you well?”

“It may not be my own wedding, but it’s wonderful to wear, for once, I fell so comfortable.” Cecil smiled, doing a quick spin in the light lilac suit, “Although I think if it’s too nice, Dean may get a little jealous.”

“That sounds about right.” His mother laughed as Dean pouted. The green silhouette of his brother’s and his balanced magic floating over to him. Circling him once more to make sure everything was in place.

Ian poked his head in, and closed the door behind him.

“Just a few more moments, then you will walk down the aisle together,” Ian tried to gave a genuine smile, but his fake emotions failing him.

“Thanks, Ian,” Neil spoke, giving the court head a strong hug before letting him go.

The ceremony was beautiful, and just like his dream those years back, he got to see all his friends again. Keith and Douglass hadn’t changed at all, but, a few others did, in a good way.

While Cross never really did makeup with his family, he did become closer with friends, and with the help of Keith and Dean became the new general, Keith retiring but visiting the castle often. Bernard was still Dean’s personal guard, but mainly for when he leaves the castle or big events happen, allowing him to spend time with his wife and child and give them an amazing life with the high pay.

Howard also retired, but he did so early, leaving so he could work more on the farm with his family and bakery, now making more profits there than as the head chef, they even got to see his family. The kids that were so young last time grown up, brother and wife with him as well.

Ian didn’t have much happen but works day in and day out with Martin, researching and helping out everywhere, but taking time off when Martin tells him to and adding gorgeous paintings and murals across the castle. Apparently, thanks to Ian, a symbolic mural of their story was painted across one of the castle walls, an extra path added and some landscaping done to make it an area reserved for the royal family to relax and remember.

Then, to their surprise, Ian’s wedding gift of plane tickets back to their kingdom. Tomas joining them, going to be staying with Dean, Cecil, and Martin while Neil and Edwin went to the beach house for their own honeymoon.

Together, they laid comfortably in the master suite, giggling together like children in an embrace. Happily, openly calling each other husband. Saying sweet nothings.

Sunlight poured into the open room, breezes of early morning summer air going through. His eyes slowly opened, Edwin holding him close, and just staring at him with a kind loving smile.

“No duties?” Neil whispered with a groggy and sleepy voice.

“No list,” Edwin replied in kind.

“No meetings?”

“Just us, moon.” Edwin smiled, Neil leaning up for a slow kiss. Breaking away, Ed spoke, “Good morning, love of my life.”

“Good morning, Husband.” Neil smiled, feeling fully rested and relaxed for the first time in his life.

oh hell yeah!! predictions hmm?

tbh ever since neige came up, my entire "epel is vil's snow white" theory was tossed out of the window and i have noooo idea whats gonna happen next lol

(someday i will talk about the allusions. but alas, today is not that day)

what i think will happen broadly

deuce and epel get together (heh) on a bonding field trip and either encourage each and go back to vils team OR renounce their positions and idk challenge vil to a duel or something. id prefer the former rather than the latter, mostly because i dont see it going well for either of them if it gets that far ahdjsjs. but either way, we'll definitely get epel characterization, probably find out more about his thoughts on pomefiore and vil as a whole. maybe some of his upbringing or his ideals, and if we're lucky we'll get some sweet deuce character development too! (hnfnhsh it might. just be the ace bias talking but id love to see ace like, regret being an asshole for a bit and maybe apologize too, but highly doubt it since chara development gets shafted a lot in the main story in favor of side stories hehe. but who knows!! maybe itll happen)

i also expect to see more mentions of rook sabotaging! whether he already did it by inviting adeuce or he has more up his sleeve, it's definitely going to be addressed in the upcoming parts. im also speculating he knows neige personally somehow, otherwise....... why else would he be sabotaging yknow?? but that ones more of a speculation really.

i am also expecting this to be the lore chapter! with snow white being the first disney movie and pomefiore being the oldest dorm, it would be either here or diasomnia in which we get the lore dump. also more crowley stuff too!! whether hes really the evil queen's raven or diablo is still up for grabs, itll definitely be confirmed or debunked by pomefiores end. (or at the very least, alluded to!) but yea, i expect lore in this chapter with all the snow white and apple imagery in the pv and whatnot

this next one is more of a want, but i would love to see more of the pyroxene gang since vil is going to be the centerfocus. part one has been disappointing in that aspect so far, but theres always a chance theyll pick it up in the later parts (i highly doubt it though if its been this far and we have barely anything but uh yKNOWWW) srsly though, cater development got shafted in the first chapter to establish the world and riddles story, and i really thought at least jack would show up since he knew vil in his childhood and to set up the first year gang!! but alas ... at least we have epel.

as if that shot wasnt an indicator of anything, just think of snow white. think of all the obs were heinous crimes were being committed. poisoning is gonna go down in this chapter and i am so freaking excited for it

Hey, sorry to break this to you, but that post about Asriel hugging Chara is wrong. In game it's got Asriels voice chirps instead of the normal narrator blips. I think the game removes portraits sometimes if Frisk can't actually see their face

ok idk why you feel the need to start discourse with me by picking apart an argument i didn’t even write but i’m just irritable enough rn to respond so

this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen someone change their voice blips to someone else’s - i’d like to present as evidence the sans date at mtt resort

i for one don’t find it hard to believe chara actively changes their voice as the narrator so they dont sound like a kid OR changes their voice here because they don’t want frisk (or you, the player) to notice that they’re speaking

note we don’t hear any voice blips for chara pre-death or post-murder run so like, we wouldn’t know if that’s closer to how they actually sounded than the blips they use as the narrator

honestly the more i think about it the more i headcanon chara as mute, so it could be that they’re actively or subconsciously mimicking asriel’s voice via narration-powers (maybe because they see themself as “acting like him” when they say it)

i’m not gonna go through the whole game but if you can find an actual example of this i’m all ears.  i looked through the undertale text project’s bit on the sans date since i remembered sans’ face being obscured for part of it and:

granted, he’s not facing away from frisk, but they probably can’t see his face too well from that angle so it certainly doesn’t confirm your theory.  again i could be proven wrong on this

chara’s established as dealing with stressful situations by laughing. asriel, not so much

he does actually laugh one other time in this scene, after his line about how everyone really loves you despite hardly knowing you - this strikes me as more of a “this is actually kind of funny and i’m tired of being depressed” thing than an “i’m upset and using laughter to cope” thing

chara on the other hand - i think we all know about the “I should’ve laughed it off, like you did” line, and there’s a couple of places where the narrator shows a similar tendency to distance themself from stress using laughter.  i’m not gonna get too deep into that here bc other people have said it better than i could.  (not gonna hunt down the posts tonight but i can later)

i’m not saying this makes it definitive, but that line definitely feels more like the way chara uses laughter than asriel

i looked it up and asriel is the first to let go

idk about you, but when i hug someone and say i don’t wanna let go, they usually let go first so i don’t have to initiate it

and like, i dont think someone would say that and then let go less than a second afterward.  i think asriel doesn’t say or hear that line, and just lets go on his own

in conclusion, i reblogged that post because it’s a theory that gives me feelings and makes me want to hug someone and that’s all i want out of this dang fandom half the time anyway so like, i’m not sure i even care if it’s canon? (i say after defending it for 500 words… i’ll take any excuse to infodump, don’t judge me)

but i mean, any theory is gonna have counter-theories that are also canon-compliant as long as we’re not talking about stuff that’s directly implied by the text of the game  (like, uh… frisk and chara’s pronouns… but that’s unrelated.  i digress)

-Pabits mouth is wider than a normal persons, similar to Habits oversized smile mouth. It is full of sharp teeth. (Meant to mimic his pubbit mouth)

-He has a shadow form just like his father.

-Really Pabit just looks like Habit to a ridiculous extent. Habit may just be a tad bit thankful for that.

-Pabit is not Pabits actual name, it’s just a nickname everyone uses... I haven’t decided on a name for him yet WOOPS

-Pabit will eat teeth. You cannot stop him. You’d think Parsley would find this normal, but no. Even Parsley is disturbed by this teeth eating Child.        -Jimothan is always pointing out that Parsley has no place to judge this child

-Habit was once married. His ex-spouse is Non-Binary (genderfluid maybe?)

-Habit hops around between he/she/they pronouns and addressing them as his ex husband/wife/spouse

-Pabit was in no way planned. Ex was very against the idea of having kids and didn't want to keep him. Habit, though he never planned on kids and was honestly a bit scared due to his own past, could not have been happier.

-Pabits really the whole reason they got divorced. The arguments over keeping Pabit just became too much, the concept of a kid became a deal breaker.

-Habit really only has custody because Ex didn't want anything to do with Pabit. Habit doesn't even ask them to pay Child support.

-Pabit grows up only hearing the occasional story of his other parent, but never meets them. Habit tells him why they split when Pabits a bit older (When he thinks Pabit could mentally handle being the very reason they're not together - Pabits late teens most likely)

-He mostly stays in Habits office during the game events, but comes out with the last new group (When the roof is unlocked)

-He moves around the Habitat, unlike other habititians.         -I always descibe this in a gameplay sense, rather than characters doing normal people things, cause Obvi the charas dont really just stay in one spot all day every day

-FK, named Lillian, is 17 and is Wallus’ younger sibling.

-Pabit takes the place of the diary pages, growing a tooth lily for Lillian once they show (and give) him the ERYTHRONIUM Seed. (This technically means he could be collaged, but the au is the good end)

-Pabit leaves the office because he's noticed his father's erratic behavior and wants to find a way to make him happy again.

-Pabit doesn't really talk to the other Habititians much, he's too nervous.

-He gives the Tooth Lily to Lillian, asks them to say they grew it themself if Habit asks, then leaves the Habitat with Kamal and the other Habititians.

-Habit stumbles through an apology to Kamal once he sees him, and Pabit delivers one to Wallus because Habit doesn't want to scare the poor man.

-Kamal forgives Habit, but their closeness does not immediately return. Kamal becomes Pabits babysitter for awhile, he and Habit end up re-bonding during this period.

-Boraboris woops (I’m weak)

- Lillian kinda becomes an older-sibling figure for Pabit

-They def garden with Habit so 🎉

-After the Habitat shuts down, Pabit misses doing the PSAs

-Habit misses Martha

-Kamal and Pabit get Habit a puppy. Her name is Martha. Habit adores her so much

-Pabit and Kamal making cookies Pabit and Kamal making cookies Pabit and Kamal making coo-

-Habit has a thicc Russian Accent, Pabit has a weaker accent

-Pabit is classmates with Tim Tam (10) and Millie (9)

-Lillian helps Pabit with homework. Habit tries but he hasn't been in school for a while and things are... Very different

-Pabit calls Wallus his uncle, Wallus cannot stop him. Lillian wont LET him stop him.

-he did the same to Kamal but swapped to dad at some point and Kamal just died (in a good way) inside

-Pabit doesnt know why it broke Kamal but Habit thought it was fuckin adorable
