Ahh thank you!!! That's really flattering fkljgfjf....It's always a pleasant surprise that people like Neves :'-) (and I love when I get an excuse to post my doodles of her and the Lamb lol)

I am in the works of trying to write a cotl fanfic abt this specific au (I call it The Apostate & The Martyr in my head lol), but writing doesn't come as easily as drawing to me SIGH. I've actually written quite a bit, but the problem is putting all these random excerpts together to make something coherent LOL. But yes, the fic is intended to be the story of The Lamb and Neves' friendship amidst the brutality and terror of the Lands of the Old Faith, how to deal with the consequences of their choices, and the mutual alienation they experience in their positions....as silly as that sounds lol. It's very self-indulgent! I just liked the concept of the "Outsider" POV, so to speak, being subjected to the sort of normalized violence that exists in cotl. Though, I might end up just making comics if I can't pan out this fanfic well enough!

Oh my god, you made me remember I absolutely do!!! Had to fix it up a little but Behold: The Spotted Spider! He's a silly lil' guy who always carries around some kind of sign they ripped out the ground which he uses as both a staff AND a bat. May or may not have a symbiote but they're not confirming anything. Damage their headphones and she's sending you to the grave.

I'll be real with you, I just really enjoy drawing big scary teeth LOL.

I do think it would be neat if ghouls just lost all their original teeth and were replaced with weird ones. Maybe they constantly fall out and regrow like sharks? Idk, but it's fun to mix up ghoul biology since everything can be justified by radiation exposure haha.

Either way, Arcade seems to enjoy Richie's chompers, so that's what really matters ;)c

Yeah! Yanov is also related to the two brothers! Only half related to them because of an...affair one of their parents had at some point. kinda fucked up (their parents then had a divorce, and one of them did discuss about said affair to the brothers at some point on two different instances)

The three brothers are very close to each other despite that- with Yanov trying to be the middle ground (kinda literally, considering he's the middle child) and the mediator between the two. Considering he's definitely the chiller of the three. He's the anchor, or whatever. Or maybe he's just laid back.

I now can't help but imagine then wonder:

Peppermint fudge going to protect shadow milk....peppermint fudge then gets defeated or gets smacked in a way....would shadow milk just snap and be like 'THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DEFEAT YOU CAN I CAN SWOON AT THEM, YOU [insert cookie version of calling someone an A-hole]' and then attacks them...taking on the role as knight saving someone VERY VIOLENTLY as payback for them hurting his love and for ruining the vibe of peppermint fudge being his 'knight'?

if there's one thing shadow milk probably hates more than someone ruining HIS performances, it's probably if someone's ruining peppermint fudge's!

Book Update:

Whewww, let me tell yall my toxic trait. 💀 I tend to get discouraged after 20k words. Idk what it is. Maybe it's my perfectionism, maybe it's my self doubt, but at that point I just know when something isn't working. And that's one of the pitfalls of writing without a plan tbh.

I try to outline stuff but I find that I'm always ignoring that outline in favor of "must follow shiny new idea". And I end up wanting to discard everything and start over because the new idea makes it 10x better and what I've written so far no longer serves the story.

But I keep doing that. And I don't want to anymore. I want to finish this book to prove that I can do it. That I do have what it takes.

So I worked hard this weekend coming up with a kick ass outline. I'm *so* excited about this and the direction I've chosen that I'm already trying to plan the cover art 😩 (someone please take Canva away from me. But not literally because I love that damn site)

I will likely take a mini break from fic this week while I *don't* discard everything I've written, but instead clean up what I've written before to match this new direction. Then I can move forward with getting this book out of my head and into the hands of my editor.

Toss a coin to ya blogger and leave encouraging messages. Chuz its hard to cheer for yourself when writing a book, I swear 😩😩😩😭

But! I'm excited and shall endeavor to finish. Because I need this book in my life like yesterday 😩😩😩😭

Tada!!! I updated Rose's design a bit!!! (She's one of my Sonamy fankids for those unaware.) The art in her old pic was like over a year old, so I figured since Elise got a small redesign recently, I might as well do Rose too! (I'll slowly do the rest of the Hedgehog Family and the Robotnik Family too, I promise.) I mostly only changed Rose's quills since I felt they most desperately needed an update. I kept her suit and boots the same since I love them so much. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I want to design Rose a casual outfit at some point. We'll see if I actually get around to that.

For those unfamiliar with Rose, I'll go over her personality and such under the cut!

Rose Hedgehog is the middle child in Sonic and Amy's family. Her older siblings are the twins Joy and Lux, and her younger siblings are Elise and Chip.

Rose is 12 years old. She's very spunky, ambitious, and tends to get into trouble quite a bit by accident. Her dream goal is to become a hero by the time she turns 15. So she's only got 3 years to go! Better hurry up!

Rose can summon a weapon much like Amy can summon her Piko Piko Hammer. Rose's weapon is a staff! She can increase it's length, but not excessively. It maxes out at like a few feet.

Rose has a bit of a passion for design! She designed her suit and boots all by herself and then took the designs to Uncle Tails, who made them a reality for her. She has quite a few notebooks filled with sketches of clothes. Some people have suggested she become a designer when she grows up, but Rose has dismissed those ideas every time. This is just a hobby! She wants to become a hero like her parents!
