RULES:

you cannot directly affect the world outside curly’s mind. that means you can’t manifest yourself into a physical form, physically interact with curly, physically alter the environment, or change fate outside of encouraging curly to act.

you can send curly audial and visual material through links, description, embeds, etc. you cannot manifest physical sensations, taste, or smell (although you can briefly give him a headache through enough caps usage). you cannot affect curly’s real world senses.

curly can tell the difference between what you send him and what’s physically going on around him.

curly typically cannot interact with what you send him. if you send him a video, it will play until the end or until another video starts; he can’t pause it or rewind, can’t click website links, can’t scroll, etc.

curly is not allowed to have definitive proof that he is fictional. if you simply tell him “you’re a video game character” he’ll still respond but he won’t believe you. EDIT: someone found a loophole. curly is now allowed to know that we perceive him as a video game character provided you present it as “we’re from an alternate dimension and in our dimension there’s a game about you” and not as “we’re real and you’re not.”

sex jokes are fine, but i won’t respond in character to anything that i find too explicit, graphic, or otherwise uncomfortable.

Hello boys, girls, neithers, boths, and in-betweens and welcome to William’s Wanton Weary Wiles, a Will Wood/WWATTW x CCCC AU! Consider this a masterpost. Note that this AU is still very much in development, and this post will be updated as things change/get added :] Also. being totally up front. I’ve never made an AU or attempted a story this complex before, so please bare with me if things get confusing! Feedback is appreciated ^^

Warning! WWWW tackles sensitive topics, but nothing foreign to Will Wood or Chonny Jash’s music. Appropriate warnings will be put in the tags of each post, but overall CW/TW for: alcoholism/addiction, mental health issues, suicidal ideation, manipulation, and (moderate) violence.

The WWWW AU story is very similar to the original CCCC album, but with slightly different themes and tone. It still follows HMSW after Whole splits, creating Heart, Mind, and Soul. However, each character and their dynamics + certain plot points (e.g the Juno incident) are altered.

Asks about this AU are extremely welcome! Could be genuine questions, thoughts, serious, silly - anything (so long as it’s SFW!) is great and will help me with making this a Better and Actual Thing :3

In WWWW each member of HMSW represents and is based off of a WW(ATTW) album. Each character’s songs are from their respective albums, and the story will be told in the form of a written series of covers of songs by WW/WWATTW (plus some visual pieces :]). These will be posted individually and linked here as they get released.

3/31/25 EDIT: The information above is somewhat outdated! The idea of having to write 20+ song covers has been kind of killing my motivation for this project, so I've decided I will only be writing the covers I'm confident and interested in. However, the full tracklist with notes on what happens in each song will be posted soon[ish] and hyperlinked here when it's finished so you all still get the full storyline :]

While HMSW still exist with the same vague concepts and color themes, they do diverge a decent bit from the original CCCC album and I would not consider them to be representations of canon HMSW (or of any real people, including Whole /srs). Ref sheets have been posted and are linked in each character's name.

Important overall info: 

- HMS exists in a sort of parallel reality I’m calling Marybell (as a reference to Suburbia Overture as well as The Prescription). It’s a town within Will’s psyche that reflects his reality. It can change depending on his state of mind/current situation, and pretty much only exists to provide a physical space for HMS.

- Time loop!! Soul remembers every loop and knows the vague events that happen when Will is whole (though the memories are less clear than when he’s split). Heart and Mind don’t remember previous loops and aren’t really aware of anything when HMS is combined. Physical changes caused to any of HMS remain, even when the timeloop resets.

- LI does exist in WWWW! She’s about as significant as she is in CCCC and will probably get at least an intro, if not her own ref sheet at some point. I also have a sort of Darrell-equivelant which will probably get his own thing at some point as well.

I’ve included the pronouns I think the characters would use, but you all are welcome to use whatever you’d like for any of them. - Spends his extra money on video games, alcohol, music equipment (sorta, though he mostly borrows shit and uses free programs), and serving cunt (fashion/makeup stuff)

- Not aware of HMS, though they’re aware of him. Mostly just feels a general sense of dissonance during splits, rather than Knowing the presence of these Multiple Actual Guys. Can’t interact with Marybell, same as HMS can’t (directly) interact with the “Real World”.

Soul:

- The Soul/Mr. Capgras/Cotard/Atlas

- He/it

- SELF-iSH

- Whole’s “self” - who he is at his core. His identity and personality at its most raw form. 

- He’s the most in-tune with Will’s actual state of being (health, emotions, etc.) and considers himself to somewhat be William, just separated and with pieces of himself missing. 

- Ultimate goal is to become a Happy Healthy and Alive Whole. Unlike in CCCC, the self-destruction is left more to H/M in this one .

- Knows he needs to get Heart and Mind to work together if he wants to keep William good and well, but he’s growing incredibly tired throughout the loops. He primarily experiences Will’s worst moments and rarely gets a break. Spends most of him life trying to get these. Fuckers. to get along and he’s so incredibly done with both of them. Growing distant, but ultimately does care about H/M on a personal level and really wishes they could all be happy together.

Mind:

- The Mind/Laplace/Al/Marsha/Apollo

- He/she

- The Normal Album

- Whole’s logic, as well as his self-control and calculated decision making. Doing his best to keep Will stable and often doing so to the point of burnout.

- Primarily tries to keep Heart in check, to the point of excessively trying to control it and Soul. Wants to keep Whole productive and functional by any means necessary. 

- At the end of the day, he does want Whole to live a happy life, but (despite keeping up a facade of superiority and strength) fears Heart’s impulsiveness/ erratic nature and feels the need to over-compensate in order to keep Will safe. 

Heart:

- The Heart/Jimmy/Vestal/Artemis

- He/it

- Everything Is a Lot

- Whole’s emotions, as well as his impulsiveness and indulgence. Sometimes joy-seeking, sometimes self-destructive. Often those two go hand in hand.

- Focused on breaking free from Mind’s controlling nature, trying to get her and Soul to “live a little”. Wants to allow Whole unbridled indulgence (in every whim and emotion, including negative) often to the point of self-destruction. 

- Ultimately knows he’s wrecking Will, but finds it’s the only way he knows to soothe his suffering. He knows Mind is right about them needing to get their shit together, but finds him difficult to work with and listen to when he’s so excessively overbearing.

Thank you for the newest State of Design. Reading this year’s, even more so than previous, made my own feelings feel seen and valid. Nearly everything you mentioned on both the highlights and lessons I agreed with, and it refreshes a lot of confidence in the future that an authoritative figure in MtG is able to identify so much, and communicate so well, of what worked and what missed.

The one thing I felt you didn’t touch on was play boosters in limited, sealed specifically. My sealed plays have been a nightmare since play boosters. The lopsided-ness between someone opening 6 rares vs someone opening 12 is immense, and it has lead to a much higher percentage of games that feel their outcomes were completely dictated by the sealed pools and not by deckbuilding skill or gameplay skill.

I communicated to you a similar experience shortly after play boosters went live, and your response was along the lines that too few people play sealed for it to meaningfully influence concern on its own. Since then, my sealed experiences have consistently been just as nightmarishly swingy, and when playing on Arena in the sealed events that are held quite often, I don’t spend a ton of time waiting in queue. It doesn’t feel like there’s no one playing sealed, but it does feel like sealed has been broken by play boosters.

In the spirit of your state of design article, in reflection, I’d like to ask: is the sealed environment with play boosters something that warrants concern? Or are things more or less the same back when you first responded when play boosters came out, that too few people play sealed for it to meaningfully influence concern on its own? Thanks.

I might be just repeating what I said last time you asked, but it's hard to remember all my answers. Here's the challenge. Something like 95% of all sanctioned sealed play is at prereleases. Prereleases are played with prelrelease boxes which give us some ability to help balance things if we feel there's a problem. Being blunt, I don't think affecting the remaining 5% of sealed play is going to outweigh all the other factors we're dealing with when crafting play boosters.

I'll note that things could always change and alter our calculations.

Some Short-Term Plan(e)s

So it's been a while since I've uploaded a proper post, but I just want to make it clear that things aren't silent behind the scenes. I spent the first two weeks back from Arizona dealing with something of an...acute medical impediment (thankfully now resolved), but I want to at least mention what I'm working on, a sort of roadmap of sorts. Whatever the air equivalent.

Under a cut for length. I will never beat the yapping allegations, though the 'too many bulleted lists' allegations are nearly as dire.

Here is a list of currently started reviews (as in, I have finished research and outlining and begun actually writing) in rough order of when I think you can expect to see them:

That said, I think I'll probably insert some others in here, because this sequence might end up somewhat stale if left unaltered. None of these liveries are being discussed because they'd stick out to a random person (except the logojets) and several very strongly resemble each other. My queue system has always been somewhat loose where it exists at all - if something catches my eye or I get a particularly compelling request other stuff may well slot in here.

In fact, I'll leave this open: if you see anything that catches your eye on the request list, let me know, and feel free to add to said list. There are so many airlines out there that I'm frequently overcome by decision paralysis, so requests can actually help hugely. (I've been considering also making public my personal shortlist so people can let me know if there's anything on there they want to see. ...let me know if you want to see that.)

Beyond that, in the time I've been spending languishing on the border between life and death and/or working and/or attending classes the world has continued to move and change. Let me know if there's any of these in particular you'd like to see. I will say, though, that these are the one thing I'm unlikely to ever take open requests for. These are all using aspects already found in their liveries, altered and rearranged but fundamentally building on what's there, so I'm only interested in doing them when I can see a clear path forward already. Otherwise that's just designing a new livery from the ground up. I'm a critic, not a designer, so I won't be doing that.

These do, however, require quite a lot of time and effort and I generally have to learn a handful of new skills each time I attempt to make the images required actually happen, so these will be sparse. (On a related note, if anyone has access to some sort of repository of royalty-free CSP-compatible transparent vectors of various models of airliner that they'd give me access to, I would greatly appreciate it, because I did have to trace an entire Dash 8 by hand last time.)

So that's the core material, but I do also put other things on this blog from time to time, so there's some of that on the way too. The following is in the works, and I'm excited for it:

More airframe features! I love talking about history's weirdest and most charming airplanes.

A series of 'bestiary' posts outlining common features of archetypes that I often reference (both established ones like Eurowhite and my own personal taxonomies like the Deltalike), essentially approaching them as groups rather than individuals.

A very long historically-oriented post that has nothing to do with liveries, actually, and covers a segment of commercial aviation that isn't airlines, but I think it's quite interesting and I'm very proud of how it's shaping up.

But enough about posts. There's more to blogging than posts. I am very slowly attempting to give this blog an actual visual identity and cleaning up its appearance and function, so I can stop insulting airlines' branding while my own is rock bottom. This process includes but will probably not be limited to:

Fixing the desktop theme to not be insanely crunchy and awful and horrible and bad seriously what was I even doing

Designing an actual logo for myself (I love the grinningbird icon, but that could be any aviation blog.)

Fixing the currently broken navigation page

Filling in the glossary properly

Ideally, creating a mirror for long/"main series" posts off tumblr, for reasons such as navigation (tumblr will stop 'counting' tags on posts for even on-blog browsing at a certain point), accessibility to people without a tumblr account, and just plain preservation in the case of a failure on tumblr's end - I have most content saved to my own computer, obviously, but better safe than sorry when it comes to these things. I am currently leaning towards either Wordpress, which I more or less know how to use, or attempting to wrangle together something using Neocities, which I...well, I know how to google tutorials.

Somewhat related to this - not only am I just one person, I am just one person with the incorrect skillset for this. I can at best tweak existing HTML and perform very rudimentary actions in image editors, limited to things like removing a monocolor background or splicing an image onto another - everything else I've ever done is googled as I actually do it. If any followers are proficient in coding and/or photo editing and are willing to help with bits and bobs, that would be huge for me. Absolutely no pressure, however. I currently am not in a position to pay someone for their skills, and I do not like asking people to work for free. (...that said, I would be very eager to find someone who could help me edit a video for one specific post.)

All of this - from the main posts to the web design (or lack thereof) - takes quite a bit of time. I'm just one person, one person who deals with both serious chronic illness and the whims of episodic mood disorder. I am also a student and make most of my money freelancing - plus, I write other things, too, and I've been actively working on a fiction project for years that I hope to publish serially in the not-too-distant future.

That is all to say, my old bimonthly rate is definitely not sustainable. We will probably be looking at one post per month, with months skipped, in terms of actual reviews. (Other stuff just gets shoved in wherever, I don't care about defining a schedule for it.) This is torturous for me - I have literally hundreds of liveries I would very much like to talk about, and I do want to intersperse the longer posts I've become used to writing with content that doesn't require me to go through research, outlines, and multiple drafts in order to expedite this, but the fact of the matter is that I want to write every post at once and instead most of them will be in the agonizing future, or never. I hope I can at least return to something resembling a steady output. But please bear with me as I attempt to bear with myself. I hope it'll be worth the wait.

CATS: The Jellicle Ball Summary

Sourced from my (admittedly imperfect) memory. I love this production, and this is an abridged summary of my memory of the events of the show. Pre-Show

The set for this show is really well done. Talked to one of the workers during intermission, and the whole thing (seating, stage, and all) is completely modular and movable. Floor levels are also all adjustable. It really inclines itself to audience interaction, both with the runway structure and the individual tables at the cabaret level seats.

Junior Labeija handles the pre-show announcements (put your phones away once you've googled me, cheer your heart out, don't film, etc)

Overture

Hearing this live for the first time made me cry

The DJ's introduction is great, he has a collection of queer and black artists' vinyls that he pulls out, followed by a Cats vinyl filled with glitter

The eyes (projected up onto the back wall/window panel) have the white cat solo animated inside of them

Shadow outline of a dancer (I think Primo/Tumble on the night I saw) starting out w/ ears and a tail doing classic Cats-style choreo blending into a removal of the ears/tail and a shift to ballroom choreo

Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats

Did the thing I love for this song where there are clear and well-timed spotlights on every cat as they sing their line, w/ everyone else in darkness

Cast appears throughout the audience (Tugger was behind me at his start, I think) before gathering into the area around the stage

Get onto stage for the Mystical Divinity section

The group catwalk is absolutely gorgeous, this show has great choreo

The Naming of Cats

The perfection of this song for a queer viewing of Cats cannot be overstated, and will likely be its own post eventually

Munk as an MC leading this number is lovely to me

"Man over there" is given to Macavity, as the first clear indication to his altered role in this version

There are spotlights on every cat whose name gets said in the song, not just Bombalurina, which makes me happy

White Cat Solo

Gets its own segment because Baby is that good. She is dance captain for this show and you can see why

The white outfit here is gorgeous, kinda sad she changes out of it later

Pink lighting is doing good work making this section feel ethereal

Was way closer to the vibes of the original than I was expecting from a vogue choreo. There were a couple moves I saw as clear references to the original

Emcee Munk continues to be amazing, the rhythm of this was very satisfying

Gumbie Cat

Jenny is a tired single mother of three kids who cannot for the life of them get organized

Puerto Rican drag queen Jennyanydots has my heart, as does her stylist

The "sits and sits and sits" line here is not used to imply that Jenny is lazy, it is very explicitly saying that she has a lot of sex (as acted out jokingly by her choreo)

Cassandra is adorable here, both while dancing and after she realizes she's won

Category Is: Virgin Vogue. A category for people in their first year of doing vogue (or similar). Won by Cassandra of House Dots, other competitors are Tumblebrutus of House Dots, Electra 007, and someone I am currently forgetting

The Rum Tum Tugger

I think I've made my love for this setup for Tugger clear before, and will continue to do so in the future, so this is gonna be little moments I liked/noticed

There are some line/blocking switch ups. Bomba gets the "terrible bore" line (said reclined on the stage as Tugger leans over her) along with her standard. Victoria is the girl flirting with Tugger on his "No" drop

Tugger flirts with everyone here. His competition, the other cats, the audience, etc.

Everyone but Misto, who is off to the side mocking his riffs

Sillabub is the one to faint during the ending bit

Category Is: Realness. Ability to pass as a (in this case) a cishet man in a variety of categories (pretty boy, thug, schoolboy, executive, etc). Won by Tugger, other competitors are Tumblebrutus and Mungojerrie

Grizzabella the Glamour Cat

I really like the interpretation of the Jellicles' relationship with Grizz in this show. They aren't angry at her, more...distressed? It seems like her being around is making everyone worried both about her and for her, so they react differently

Munk tries to give her money, she refuses

She comes in holding a trophy that is clearly old, showing that her glory days were a while ago. She also looks like she's likely been homeless.

Demeter's voice is gorgeous here, and she looks really conflicted about Grizz

There is a Demelurina vibe to this whole show, which I started noticing here

I have a lot of thoughts on Grizz and her relationships with the Jellicles here, which will probably be a post pretty soon after this one.

Grizz tries and fails to convince the judges to allow her to compete, and is far more determined/steely in this first appearance than usual.

Sillabub. Making them a giant Grizzabella fan was such a good choice. This is one of the most sweet and genuine through-lines of the musical. They're so genuinely remorseful and excited to see Grizz, but still back off when Demeter warns them.

Bustopher Jones

I know I gave Jenny my heart earlier, but it's been stolen. Nonbinary Bustopher Jones as played by Nora Schell is, I think, the ideal Bustopher. This is what this character was meant to be, for me

Oh gods the costumes. Tugger has a sparkly leopard print jockstrap. Bustopher has a full bustier situation covered in a bedazzled Union Jack. Mistoffelees and Demeter both have lovely sheer situations going on. This is amazing, and I've been informed is even better if you're bi

Nora Shell has pipes, y'all. Their voice is so strong and clear

This number has almost no true choreography, it's just the competitors showing off how hot they are (posing, strutting, stripping, grabbing their asses and shaking them at the judges, etc)

The amount of offense Tugger takes to losing is hilarious to me

Ideas For Future Posts

Hello, everyone! This blog has been up and running for about a week now, and in that time, I’ve been happy to see a few followers start coming in! It’s also been great to get questions and comments from you all. I would be posting this stuff anyways just for the sake of archival and the love of the game, but knowing that it’s being appreciated and enjoyed definitely makes a big difference :)

I still have a ton of photos and a few older videos to queue or upload in the coming days, and then whatever material I can scrounge up from my old blog to properly source and reupload here. But aside from those things, I wanted to see if there’s anything in particular you all would like to know about!

I’ve been toying with the idea of writing some longer, more text-heavy and source-cited posts about some of the band’s deeper lore or trivia. For example, I’ve had the idea for a post exploring original keytarist Elisa Jordana’s firing from the band and the controversy surrounding it, or a post talking about the origins of Ryland’s alter ego Guy Ripley. I could also talk about some of the more fandom-related events of the day— did you know that Gabe once wrote and posted his very own slash fanfiction between himself and The Academy Is’s William Beckett? Do you know about the 2009 Suavarro Holiday Stream? Does the phrase “basement Gabe” mean anything to you? I can talk about all of this and more!

I was also pretty active during the final days of the band, between Ryland and Alex’s departure and the band breaking up. I unfortunately don’t have as many professional or secondary sources for these stories, so it’s all very “source: dude trust me,” but I used to attend a lot of the band’s and Ryland’s Periscope streams. I’ve found video recordings of two of these streams, and I also have old text post summaries of at least two more, if those would be of any interest.

Almost all of the band members, both former and current, have been in at least one side project aside from CS. (I’m sure it’s common knowledge that Gabe was/is in Midtown, but have you heard about Ryland and Alex’s folk-indie project, or their electronic project GRVRBBRS? Did you know that Nate was the drummer for Armor For Sleep? Or that Victoria had a short-lived solo musical endeavor?) I could certainly talk about some of these!

Finally, I’ve been able to find at least one obscure text-based interview with the band still archived on the Wayback Machine, and if I did some digging through my blog and my brain, I could probably find at least a bit more. These types of “recovered old media” posts are harder and take more time for me to find, but I do enjoy sharing them when I’m able to!

do you think it’s unsafe/dangerous to post about system functions? i would like to post ours, just so we have a better understanding of it, but im not sure if journaling would be better instead. we prefer online stuff because some alters have trouble writing.

We keep separate journals from our social media, and we have a couple safeties in place when we do. If it’s just typing that feels better, you can use a note app or keep everything in drafts (read privacy policies and terms of service if you’re doing that).

While we’re pretty open about how our system works online, we’re not particularly inclined to give identifying information for our body or any member of our collective. There are creeps online, so have a plan for how vague you’d like to be and which pieces to keep to yourself/ves

We queue almost everything. Current events in our life actually took place about a month ago, and any details of our structures or even opinions typically sit for three to five days so we can regret them before the world sees. We only post photos when we’ve left an area, and we change the location and timestamp when possible. Determine how much you(&) want strangers to know about your(&) life at any given time, and give yourself/ves space to discuss big topics before sending them out

Get consent from headmates or prepare to fight. Mentioning system members and their activities can feel violating, especially if anyone has exploitation trauma. Permission every time is ideal unless you know them really well (and even then you might offend them by accident)

Sharing account names and emails/phone numbers across platforms can get you(&) tracked easily. Decide what content you’re posting and remember that outsiders can find you(&) in a video game or gushing over an interest in the wild. Keep separate sideblogs and user info for different topics unless you(&)’re real comfy with people knowing that much about you(&). The more you(&) connect in public, the crisper the picture you(&) give for people looking for you(&)

Lying is okay. Change names, give a funky time period, construct a persona online. That’s harder to do with a journal on the internet, but you(&) need some barrier between the depths of your(&) soul(s) and the general populace. If you(&) are more authentic online, you(&) might have to be less authentic offline to stay safe

And to actually answer the question: no, I don’t think it’s safe to post system functions online. Catch me doing it anyway.

We find that social media allows us to get some peer interaction without the risk of irl relationships being compromised. We can share bits here and then turn around and say those things out loud in therapy

We can say that we’ve heard of others like us and learn what’s normal for our subgroup instead of humans in our town. People understand us, and we get more comfortable diverging from the norm in both modes of life

This much talking to strangers and practicing etiquette makes us better at opening communication amongst ourselves

We get feedback and learn to deal with criticism — including what is important to hear and change and what people are just mouthing off about

Most of us know that we can look for notes on our life (the stuff that didn’t make it into the letters) on this account. We get used to seeing each other’s writing and perspective, and so are less avoidant when we notice these things in physical reality

You(&) get to choose between your(&) own pros and cons. Maybe it’s not worth it to you(&); that’s fine, there are alternatives. Maybe you(&) want to give it a try; good luck, people can be both incredible kind and absolutely scathing. I do recommend asking around/leaving notes for your systemmates to determine what their concerns are, if any. There are shades of how far you(&) might go with each aspect going forth. It’ll probably be messy at first, but you(&)’ll learn. I’ve yet to disappear my system’s online presence, so clearly I enjoy it.

Hi friends💕 I haven’t been on this blog for over 4 years (!!) but in light of recent events, I didn’t know where else to turn.

I can’t emphasize what a key role One Direction played in shaping my teen years. My first exposure to fan fiction was with 1D fics and oh boy did that open up a can of worms. I still have a Pinterest board from 2012 with everything from cute pics of the boys to unhinged (borderline incoherent) imagines. In tenth grade, I bought school supplies with Liam’s face on it because I was a Liam girlie before Harry *gasp*. I saw This Is Us in theaters and the Teenage Dirtbag sequence permanently altered my brain chemistry (seriously, give it a rewatch). When the Best Song Ever music video came out, I tortured my little brother by playing it on loop. I sat in shocked silence in my sociology class as news broke of Zayn leaving the band. My college roommate indulged me as I lost my mind over the release of the carpool karaoke video. I’m approaching 30 now but all of these memories are *so* fresh in my mind.

Although I don’t listen to them as much as I did a decade ago, when I need a pick me up or dose of teenage nostalgia, I throw on 1D. On Wednesday, I needed some cheering up so I put on some of their music and it helped, as always. The last song I listened to was Love You Goodbye and then I planned to go about my errands as usual. About 15 minutes later, in the middle of a bookstore, I got a text from my mom saying Liam had passed away. It felt like the world stopped. Getting back in the car to drive home, 1D came back on the queue and grief hit me like a Mack truck. Less than an hour before, I had been happily singing along to their music and now Liam’s just…gone? It doesn’t feel real. None of my friends were ever Directioners so I don’t really have an outlet for this grief. Which brings me here.

I’m not on social media much anymore for my mental health, but I knew that Tumblr was one of the only places where I would feel seen and understood in the aftermath of this loss. I was caught off guard by the depths of my grief and I just can’t stop crying. I see deep cuts of the band in their early days and the throwbacks that used to make me laugh now make me weep. The songs that got me through some of the most difficult times in my life will never be experienced the same way. I couldn’t afford 1D tickets while they were touring but a tiny part of me was hoping one day I could see them on a reunion tour in honor of my inner teen. I keep vacillating between denial and devastation and the whole situation is still so surreal.

Even though it’s under heartbreaking circumstances, it’s been so validating and heartwarming to see members of this community coming back and reminiscing, being open about their grief, and supporting one another. It’s hard to describe how deeply this hurts to people outside of the Directioner bubble, but I know y’all get it. I don’t know how to begin processing this but I’m gonna try.

🤠 favorite au genre? ooh this is hard, i love an AU. i guess technically canon divergence counts as an AU but that's kind of a boring answer because i know what people are talking about with this question. so, hmm. werewolf AU is up there i must say. i like a modern/no powers/whatever AU but the kind that keeps the vibes of the canon. you know i do read and enjoy the like coffeeshop type of AUs but ultimately the best ones to me are things that are much more tied to canon. nile's dealing with the aftermath of some life-altering event having forced her into a huge change of circumstance, booker's dealing with depression and grief having led him to make bad decisions that wrenched him away from his friends. things like that, you know. it feels good, feels right.
