As I unwrapped my first Milky Bar, I mused on how this new experience would compare to the familiar Hershey's cookies and cream bars that have graced my childhood. Upon that initial creamy bite, the lack of cookie crumbles made their absent presence all the more noticeable. This was a bar seeking greatness in simplicity - a purity of milky flavor unadorned by crunchy biscuit complications.
My first impression was underwhelm. As you may have observed of my writing, this Milky Bar had passion but lacked that certain je ne sais quoi. It was a pleasant confection, but falls short of the lyrical high notes of transcendent chocolate perfection. This Milky Bar is chocolate music appreciated by many, meaningful to some, but not quite Bach or Mozart. Much like that three star review or award-winning yet forgettable film, it satisfies in the moment but leaves one yearning still. It is lesser sibling to the Hershey bar's prodigy, though may perhaps reveal untapped depth upon repeat tastings over time. For now, I award it four stars out of ten. It has potential waiting to be unlocked.

This ruling is non-binding (not sure how it would be enforced even if it was considering Israel's chief protector is the U.S., which doesn't recognise the International Criminal Court and keeps trying to punish it for this kind of thing), but there's support for it across the board except from the US and its new vassal state, the UK. The Tory government has backed the US in ignoring every ICJ ruling on Palestine thus far and Starmer has been avoiding the issue but reinstated funding for UNRWA a few hours after the latest one. Starmer is a spineless Zionist maggot and as much of a US shill has the Tories however, so which way his government tips will probably depends on the strength of the US's reaction.
If you still want to vote for that death-worshipping lurching corpse in November and maybe claim back some of the voters who've decided they can't endorse this bloodthirsty maniac, now is the time to take to the streets and threaten to withhold your vote unless he fucking complies. Don't worry, the same amount of you will vote for him anyway since genocide is not a red line for you, but the DNC is jumpy enough now that they might want to err on the side of caution. Please try and stop your precious democracy from massacring any more children, even if only to save your own skins.

As an American raised on a diet of apple pie and cheeseburgers, the concept of an English trifle was as foreign to me as cricket or spotted dick. Yet while living across the pond, I decided to finally give this dessert oddity a try. The first spoonful of the custard-fruit concoction was a shock to my unsuspecting taste buds. The flavors—sweet yet sour, soft yet lumpy—created a sensory confusion not unlike listening to nails on a chalkboard. But I persevered and sampled the chocolate trifle. This sweet ambrosia enveloped my mouth in waves of chocolate ecstasy, sending my pleasure receptors into overdrive like a heroin rush at a Grateful Dead concert. The silky layers caressed my tongue as the cocoa notes danced with the madeira-soaked sponge. It was a mind-expanding experience that forced me to confront my xenophobic notions of foreign food. In that moment, as the last drops of chocolate glided down my throat, I transcended continents. The trifle had spoken, and I had become one with the Queen's pudding.

Wishing a Glorious 25th of May specifically to people like me who live in area where lilac does NOT bloom in May. Truth! Justice! Freedom! And a floral-based holiday that aligns with my climate zone!
