Sending a fun ask, what are some of your fave rwby moments. Either funniest joke or most Poetic Cinema TM moment or anything in between. What are some of your fave moments/scenes and why

Ooh good one! Really there are so many options, and of course I'm biased towards Penny quite a bit but there's still so many good moments there!

The way she returns in v7 is a really good one, the way the intense music stops and suddenly the alarms can be heard again, and it feels a bit like being pulled out of this fantasy where the heroes get to slash some monsters and it's all so cool and back into the reality: this is a city. This is a crisis. But the city does have someone ready to deal with it! And then her music starts up and it's great, and Penny is back!

Another really great moment is when Penny becomes the Winter maiden, though really I want to mention the time right before it. When Fria asks "are you the one?", and Penny doesn't answer. Which I've made an entire post about back when it happened but I still think it's an incredible moment. Because she has no good answer here. If she says no, then who? The only others around are Cinder and Winter. It's pretty clear why she doesn't think Cinder should be the winter maiden, and Winter... has just told her that she will do what Ironwood asks. If she says no, Mantle is doomed. On the other hand, can she really say yes? Penny knows Fria's situation. Is this a question she even has a right to answer? Shouldn't this be decided by Fria? And so from her lack of an answer, Fria can tell that this is someone who knows who was chosen and thinks that this choice wasn't right. This is also someone who won't claim to be the right person herself. Which then makes her the right person. It's really a very good moment, imo.

When I think about funny moments really one of the biggest things that comes to mind is Yang's detachable arm trick. I like to think Penny eventually gets a chance to redesign her body and she adds detachable limbs so she can do this too.

Just imagine Yang and Penny doing the detachable arm trick at the same time and their arms both just fall to the ground still held together because these things are mechanical so with no further signals they just stay like that. Peak comedy.

Rayllum x potential breakup song (mostly to laugh bc im too angsty rn)

The funniest thing here to me is that while some of the lyrics match quite well (“it was my birthday, my stupid birthday”) you just know neither of them consider the whole thing a breakup. Like we’ve gotten it confirmed that Rayla is just so desperate to make her way back to him once she feels like she has the chance, and it’s two years later and Callum is still fully in love with her. It really is just a separation and they are accordingly super devoted / dramatic about it, bless their souls

Was reading ur dni and wanted to ask a question for clarification. One was "rick riordan apologists" the pjo author? What did he do? And "radical inclusionists" did you mean exclusionists? If not ive never heard of inclusionists and dont know what it means

Hi!!For the second part of your question,a radical inclusionist is a person who supports every lgbt identity even if it is harmful such as bi lesbians(which my lesbian friends have told me makes them very uncomfortable because a big part of lesbianism is that it dosen't involve attraction to men and it makes me uncomfortable as a bi woman too because bisexuality is it's own thing just as lesbianism is and it feels biphobic to me).I am a critical inclusionist,which means i support all lgbt identities that aren't harmful-such as xenogenders and aspec orientations(i myself am demisexual and have several xenogenders).

And for Rick Riordan,he's put a lot of bigoted stuff in his books and hasn't really apologized or made up for it in another way.To give examples:

Clarisse La Rue:Is constantly called ugly because she's fat,muscular and gnc and was feminized to better suit her male love interest,while also having a friendship with another girl that parallels Achilles and Patroclus that was never confirmed as romantic

Piper Mclean:Is a native american girl(specifically cherokee)who wears feathers in her hair,which Rick admitted to knowing is stereotype but left in to show that she 'was trying to connect to her culture'(if you'd like proof for this,i have a screenshot if you want me to show it to you!),and made her girlfriend a minor character who barely got a physical proper description,much less a fleshed out personality

Leo Valdez:A mexican boy who is always flirting with girls,gets called unattractive in comparision to the white characters quiet a few times and ends up in a relathionship with a girl that was written in an incredibly heteronormative way that is potrayed as what he needed to learn self-love instead of his friends helping him with it

Hazel Levesque:A black girl who is younger than the other mcs(they're in their mid-teens while she's 13 for most of the series)but gets placed as the 'Team Mom' and has eurocentric hair and eye colors despite no real reason for it(she has brown hair and gold eyes despite her mother being a black woman from the early 19th century and her father having black hair and eyes)

Reyna Avila Ramírez Arellano:Many wlw in the fandom interpreted her as a lesbian with comphet or a repressed bi girl because of her romantic subtext with almost all her other female friends and asked Rick if he could give her a girlfriend since he was able to make a major supporting character gay(that one being Nico di Angelo).The next time we she made in apperance in canon,he made her a mouth piece for how much he hated her wlw ships and called it aspec rep by confirming her as asexual on twitter afterwards-This is pretty obviously lesbophobic and biphobic but it's also aspecphobic becuase it implies aspec people can only be aspec and it disregards that many of us identify as bi or gay/lesbians as well.Yes they're are aroaces but that's not what he was trying to represent and it really shows

Cerrit kept his promise, he made it home to his family.

Even if he and his family doesn't live to see the Calamity's end, in that moment him returning was all I wanted by the curtain closing. And beating a DC 30 by ONE is some form of poetic cinema you can't make up.

Thoughts spiraling before heading to bed. That was a helluva episode, I'm still in shock and shaking.

I gotta believe--like with the Iron Shepherds--this was a fight they were meant to lose. Not for the same reasons, but same outcome was meant to be met.

Otahan was supposed to be that much more op than Bells Hells. My thought is there's no way they could have all made it out, even if they hightailed it out earlier.

Matt's reasons are his to reveal in due time, like he always does, and the fact he was never stressed or worried at Orym and Ferne dying (see: Mollymauk's death, it was the dice not being in the groups favor and their choice to stay that brought them to Molly dying) makes me believe there's SOMETHING more coming.

Only the cost for them coming back may be in Imogen "giving in".

Leaving off with Matt's tweet cause he really cares and we should be respectful no matter what.

I can't draw/paint/write very well and cosplaying is a thing I'm still improving on, but I CAN bake. So I've had in my head for a while doing a series of character themed cupcakes, and Dorian's departure seemed like the perfect opportunity to start!

Every second having Dorian Storm was a genuine delight, and saying goodbye was so much harder than I thought it'd be. So it felt only right to try showing my appreciation for the last 12 episodes! Thank you Robbie for sharing your wonderful bard with us, and I hope to see him again.

Sometimes I get a little nuts, and a little pessimistic, and I hear about things on the news, and I begin to despair.

But then I walk outside, and I exist in a world of corporeal humanity.

Today, I went to the beach, came home, and moved a table. But in each of those things, someone was *nice.*

A friend helped me find a nice beach to swim at; a woman in a Honda let me merge in front of her; a cashier at Wendy’s gave me a free upgrade on my lemonade.

A toddler had trouble figuring out how to walk down a hill and copied me, arms spread like a bird to keep my balance. Her mom and I met each other’s eyes and smiled.

I moved the table from the parking lot and an older lady walking her dog stopped to chat with me a minute, complimenting my taste. A gal in her 20’s wearing a floral sundress asked me if I needed help — the first time I told her I got it, but the second, it seemed nicer to ask her to hold open the door. Her boyfriend came from around the corner to pick up the other end for me, and helped me bring it up the stairs.

Humanity is capable of horrific devastation. Or so I see on the news. But so often — when you step out into the world, people are doing tiny altruistic acts. They’re raising babies, helping people lift heavy objects, letting someone in front of them in traffic. They’re making the world just a little nicer. Sometimes I need reminding.

I got a suggestion to draw campers in a sleeping pile sometime ago, but failed to do it then. So I decided to use it for the anniversary drawing. Though it's more of a sleeping line.

Day and night version, because my original idea for why they're asleep outside was star gazing.

weve both had some frustrating asks the last couple of days. as a pick me up, what headcanons do you have about any of the RWBY characters you most want to talk about.

Weiss doesn't know how to cook for herself at the start of Beacon, but by the end of that first semester she gains a real love for cooking and starts creating new recipes for fun. Ruby's biggest regret when she leaves Patch with JNR is that Weiss isn't there to cook for them.

One of Ruby's attempts to get Blake to bond with the team more was trying to open a book club at Beacon. No one ended up being super interested because it's Ruby and structure and pre-planning isn't exactly her strong suit, but Blake joins anyways and they end up having weekly book bonding time, just the two of them.

Yang is surprisingly good at math, and helped other kids study

The Xiao Long gene is strong and both Ruby and Yang have fanclubs at Beacon.
