Ok, we all talk about enemies to lovers a lot because of the falling despite seeing the bad side first, but I feel like we’re forgetting friends to lovers can do the same thing.
Friends to lovers is falling in love with the entire person, not just their faults or their good side, or their appearance. They know each other and trust each other and fall in love because of that.
The know the faults like the enemy does. Bu they know the good side too. And all the bits in between. They fall in love with the whole person because they know the whole person. They know how they fit into their life and don’t want to live without it.

Villains of Valley View
There's a new(ish) kids show on Disney Channel called Villains of Valley View and it is very much of a Thundermans and Wizards of Waverly Place flavor. In the episodes I watched it was not as ridiculously shippy and suggestive as its predecessors, but the potential is there.
Tumblr media
Vic is a mad scientist (Craniac) who is married to the electrical supervillain Eva. They have three children named Amy, Jake and Colby and were part of a villain group called the League of Villains that was led by the evil Onyx. When Onyx passes Surge (Eva) over for a promotion to Chief Commander, Amy tries to get Onyx to reconsider to no avail, which followed with Onyx insulting her family. Amy attacks Onyx in retaliation and her family goes on the run. They eventually settle in Valley View, Texas under the alias of the Madden family. The Madden family work to maintain their ordinary lives while trying to keep themselves from being found by the authorities, the superheroes, and Onyx's minions while befriending their landlady's granddaughter Hartley.
Amy and Jake are both high school-aged. Amy/Havoc has sonic powers and Jake/Chaos has super strength. OK, before I forget, Jake and Amy are the names of the main couple from Brooklyn Nine-Nine and I love that. And Colby/Flashform, the younger brother who is 13ish, can shapeshift.
Tumblr media
The show actually has a surprising amount of continuity for this type of show, which usually rely on a status quo. Most of the episodes could not be watched out of order.
In the first episode, Jake reveals that he genuinely wants to become a better person, not just pass for one so that their secret remains hidden. Though Amy makes fun of him, he encourages her to give it a try – to at least do some things a normal teenage girl would do, like making a friend. Despite what Amy says, she does follow his advice for no particular reason, which I found kind of interesting.
In the third episode, Amy and Jake feel bad for their younger brother who didn't get his powers until after they were on the run, and never got to live the villain life with them. So they try to set him up in a fake fight against a fake superhero, but just end up battling each other. Colby ends up getting hurt, and they have to figure out how to help him, amid various other complications, so they spend a lot of time together in this episode.
In 1x09, Amy learns that Jake has been sort of dating her superhero nemesis, Starling. It turns out Starling saved Jake's life and is the reason he has wanted to go good for real. Starling defeated Amy in a way that was very publicly embarrassing for her, so it's a personal betrayal for her when she finds out. But of course it all plays like jealousy too, especially her (arguable) overreaction and Jake keeping it a secret for so long.
Amy spends so much time making fun of Jake and pretending like she doesn't care for him, that it was pretty rewarding to see it be so clear that she had expectations for their relationship. In 1x10, Jake says that the insults they lob at each other are “like hugs” for them. So basically they hug ALL THE TIME.
Jake spends 1x10 trying to make it up to Amy and apologizing. (And we learn it has been weeks.) Amy tells Hartley that Starling wasn't the worst part of it, and she says, “When we were Havoc and Chaos, we were inseparable. We didn't keep anything from each other.” So the secret is a big part of the betrayal for her.
Tumblr media
In an effort to get Amy to forgive him, Jake goes back to being Chaos. It seems at first like he just stole and threw a bus bench, and Amy is very pleased. But then when he tells her he also threw a bus, she gets a giddy smile on her face and says, “He's back!” She has clearly missed their days as a villain duo. But after a few escapades it escalates into something bigger and when Amy can see that Jake doesn't really want to do it, she calls the whole thing off. Jake tells her that even though he's not into that kind of stuff anymore, he has missed hanging out with her, and they reconcile. She tells him that he proved his loyalty by pretending to be chaos again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Starling breaks things off with him, but I would assume we're not done with her. However Amy has no love interest so far.
I only watched the first half of the season, but the second half aired in October and November. I'd love to hear from anyone who watched those episodes whether there were any good Jake/Amy ones in there.

I just found a new ship to obsess with. the sun is shining and life finally has some meaning now, woohooo!! although i do kind of feel bitter cause the show isn't a romance one, so I don't get enough of their love, but that's fine I guess.....

There's that tweet that says "if the gays love a m/f ship you know it's good" and I totally agree but another reason we ship them is because the ship is just two bisexuals together.
