Hello hello! Anon here. First of all, congratulations on getting accepted for your courses! Don't worry about trying to balance work and the blog, we will always be here waiting for you. Second of all, your whole Yutu AU has been really fascinating to look through. (Though that may be because of my bias toward Fire Emblem Awakening, as it was what got me into the series) Sorry for the incoming wall of text, but it's been giving me THOUGHTS.

So imagine this: whoever Yutu's dad is (I'll pick Azul for this example because I headcannon his English voice somewhere between Matt Mercer's Chrom and Olivert from The Legend of Heroes games) finds out who Yutu really is. You remember that cutscene after Chapter 13 in Awakening, with the Lucina reveal and Chrom has this: "You deserved better than a sword and a world full of troubles. I'm sorry."? Imagine Yutu hearing something like that: the acknowledgement of everything he's gone through, the pain of knowing his dad couldn't do anything and can't do anything more than offer words, and the reality that it might now be really possible to change the future? I imagine Azul breaking down after hearing all that because the last thing he wants to do is hurt Yuu or his son after everything he's been through. Oh goodness, the two of them both need hugs.

Second: did Crowley tip off the Magic Marshalls (because I think he would) and force Yuu to take the blame for his negligence (because he absolutely would)? Now imagine Yutu finding this out and telling his dad. Now his dad knows Crowley is a cheapskate who fobs his work onto everyone else without a second thought. And now he's responsible for having Yuu taken away and starting all this? Knowing the boys and how far they would go for Yuu I'd imagine they don't take that well. In other words, to slightly alter a quote from Regina in Once Upon A Time: "I guess killing a crow suddenly made the top of my to-do list."

Listen fire emblem awakening was my entire personality for like all of middle school.  The only thing i wanted to talk about was chrobin.  I celebrated Morgan and Lucina's birthdays by drawing them. I think I still have a Cherche x Libra fan art thing I drew on some sheet of paper somewhere in my things because I was SO MAD that no one shipped them and I couldn't find fan art of them anywhere and I just oooooooooooh.  THE WAY CHROM GETS A NEW CRIT LINE ABOUT HOW ANYTHING CAN CHANGE AFTER THE REVEAL???? BECAUSE OF HOW DETERMINED HE IS TO KEEP THAT PROMISE AND GIVE LUCINA A BETTER WORLD???? i just cant be normal about them i am so sorry.  R+A annon I love you, I love you so much for this you made my entire month and possibly my year.  Awakening is also what got me into the series and made me so many friends I just love her so much.  She's an icon and I hope she gets remastered with Sumia either deleted or with a fucking personality.

I should probably sit down and actually write a timeline for myself of events, but since I am free to lean in to the fire emblem pacing, I want to say that monsters from Yutu's timeline start showing up (similar to how the Risen do in Awakening) in the past and stirring up trouble, which leads to an event where Yutu panics and forgets himself in his desperation to protect his dad.  The main way the future kids always proved themselves was by showing their mother's wedding ring, but Yutu doesn't have that so really it's just up to his dad to see someone who looks like him and Yuu blended together, supposedly from Yuu's world using magic and above all else crying out and driving up his own blot levels to protect him calling him dad. For Azul! Yutu it's especially painful, he feels like he already knows what his dad is going to say. That he's disappointed in him. That he has no idea how they could possibly be related. That he hopes in this future he turns out to be different. But that's not what happens.

Before Azul overblotted he was quiet. There's a similar quiet over him now, a similar look of tense surprise, but Yutu- no- his child doesn't know that. His child is looking at him in fear, in worry for his reaction or his safety he doesn't know but he knows the way those tears start to form. Azul knows the quiver of the lip and the shriek, of all the things he could have passed on to such a treasure.

"You deserved better from me." Because it's true. He might think of himself as a work in progress but he still thinks he has quality; he would have done research, read every book he could get his hands on, taken classes, anything he would need to do to be a good father, a worthy partner. Anything. "You deserved to have the world within your grasp, not whatever shadow of a future and a father I left you with. I am so sorry." He does not expect Yutu to grab him and hold him like he's still somehow worthy of his love, but Azul can't fight the urge to grab back, to stroke his son's hair and let the tears fall on his suit without any care at all. I'm here. It's ok, daddy's here, daddy's got you, he won't let anything happen to you.

As for your second question, I did not really write Crowley like that no. It was more like he was the first person mysteriously arrested after the Magical Marshall's decided to finally do their job. I was writing it like they wanted to ship Yuu away to cover up for their own incompetence in preventing seven overblots instead of properly investigating what might have caused that. He's not completely innocent though, so yes. The boys do not take it well at all. And please do not apologize for sending in your thoughts, I am so so slow but I love hearing from you.

So yeah, I'm back with another mini playlist curated from my main one, this one focused on toxic chrima inspired by Fell Exalt Chrom and his Forging Bonds, but not staying 100% true to that canon because that Grima is able to send Chrom away to have a better time in Askr, and we're not having any of that nonsense in THIS playlist, oh no. The invisible ties that bind them have been dyed red in blood, and there is no escaping fate when they'd both choose ruin over breaking that bond.

The songs I used here aren't necessarily in a particular order in a narrative sense, though they are grouped in pairs corresponding to Grima's POV followed by Chrom's POV. I did take care to make sure that My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys was paired with Hate That You Know Me because of the "I knew too much" line—in my mind, this ties into Grima trying to harshly distance himself from the past he shared with Chrom, insisting that the Robin Chrom knew is dead and that Chrom will never be reunited with him, because he thinks that it would be less painful for Chrom to believe there is nothing human in him left than to be constantly looking for signs that his partner is still himself... even though the signs are all there and not too hard to pick up on for someone who knows Grima well.

I also deliberately ended the playlist with Get Away because it's a sort of... lighter note than the rest. It also pairs particularly well with Shadows just before it because "I'll be your guide so you can see" is a perfect response to "Caught in the darkness, I go blind/Can you help me find my way out?" Even though this is toxic chrima, there's still relief from their despair to be found in each other. This also plays nicely with Follow You from earlier in the playlist, "Crossing your heart and hoping to never let you get away" serving as a callback to "Cross your heart and hope to die/Promise me you'll never leave my side" and "Cross my heart and hope to die/Promise you I'll never leave your side." I really like the way that worked out. Grima, you are never getting away from your other half, and that is both a threat and a promise.

Here's my Hot Take ideas on emblem bracelet stuff if I were in charge. A lot of these aren't really "creative new ideas" and more just my dumb brain shuffling things around.

-Hector, Soren, Chrom/Robin and Veronica stay. Give Robin more bond conversations. Élivágar is Veronica's first engage weapon, Hliðskjálf is the second, and Enclosing Dark is the last, with all having adjusted stats to compensate. Change Veronica's writing to match her post Book 2/3 character; not being like Book 6 is excusable, but being like Book 1 and 2 is less so.

-I'm swapping Tiki, Camilla, and the House Leaders. In the name of fairness, I'll use characters from the same games.

-Caeda: Soar high, Emblem of Compassion; Bracelet of the Winged Princess.

She gets the spheres like Tiki did, and gets Camilla's Soar engage skill with the same unit type bonuses. Engage attack is called 'Belief in Love' and functions the same as Tiki's Divine Blessing; as such it also has the same unit type bonuses as Divine Blessing as well.

Engage weapons are Gradivus, Hauteclere (she can use it in the DS games if she goes Dracoknight and gets high enough Axe rank), and Wing Spear. Other skills are Axe and Lance proficiencies, Spd/Luck stat skills, and Lance Guard. Her bond stat bonuses are Spd, Res, and Luck.

-Takumi+Leo: Lead us, Emblem of Revelation; Bracelet of the Rival Princes.

While I'm aware that Camilla wasn't called the Emblem of Revelation in the JP version, I still think that there should either be a neutral character or a balance between Nohr and Hoshido rather than just have Camilla.

I wanted to be more creative than just picking Azura, so I went with a duo emblem idea instead.

They get the Friendly Rivalry sync skill where they alternate each turn starting with Takumi, and with the alternating they each give separate bond stat boosts; Takumi gives Str/Dex/Spd and Leo gives HP/Mag/Res. Friendly Rivalry transforms into 'Black and White' when engaged, where the unit gets all the stat boosts. Engage Attack is 'Gravity Storm' which has the same attack pattern as Dark Inferno, but instead of setting flame tiles, it reduces movement of all enemies caught in the attack. AOE is increased when done next to Corrin.

'Black and White' type bonuses-Backup: Avoid +10, Cavalry: Hit +10

'Gravity Storm' type bonuses-Covert: Applies smoke terrain on tiles where enemies attacked are, Mystical and Dragon: same as Dark Inferno.

Engage weapons are Ganglari (both princes have canon sword prowess, and the weapon has connections to both their fathers), Brynhildr, and Fujin Yumi. Sync skills are Groundswell, Darting Blow (reference to Hinoka), and Savage Blow (reference to Camilla). Other skills are Sword, Tome, and Bow proficiencies, Str/Mag stat skills, and Bow Guard.

-Rhea: Dream well, Emblem of Saints; Bracelet of the Archbishop

Both maps where you fight her in 3H reference Dreams (To the end of a Dream and Following a Dream) so this invocation still works. Highkey went with her because after getting shafted in Three Hopes, she really needed a win.

She gets the Gambit sync skill and can freely choose between Flame, Shield, and Poison, but it's no longer inheritable. She still gets Lineage and Weapon Sync. Final sync skills is the inheritable 'Crest of Seiros', where a unit's strength or magic is treated as if buffed by 5 points when using an offensive engage attack, referencing how the Crest of Seiros in 3H increases combat art damage by 5.

Engage skill is 'Ascension' and grants the same stat bonuses and weapon restrictions as Tiki's Draconic Form. Instead of turning into a dragon or donning Rhea's monastery clothes, the unit gets Seiros' armor and Blonde hair with green tips (though that might conflict with Leif and Eirika's engage hair color changes idk). Engage attack is 'Divine Frost', where unit transforms into the Immaculate One, lets out one big breath attack, and makes tiles in a 3x3 square in front of them into ice tiles. Doing this next to Byleth lets the unit move again to take advantage of the ice.

Other skills are Arts, Tome, and Sword proficiencies, HP/Luck stat skills, and Special Guard. Engage weapons are Dragon Claws, Agnea's Arrow, and Sword of Seiros.

-Player finds Caeda's bracelet on the Somniel instead of the House Leaders'. This means you can get the special conversation with Marth early on, and get the rest of the special conversations in the latter half of the game after losing Marth if you so please, cuz the rest of the bracelets are related to latter half ring Emblems (this makes sense to my OCD brain, don't worry lol). You find the Silver Card on the Somniel too.

-Rhea's paralogue is the Silver Snow final map at Garreg Mach. Takumi and Leo's paralogue is the Valla map where you dragon vein copies of your army onto the north and southern halves.

-Takumi and Leo take either C or B bond supports, and both are present in the A supports.

-A Divine Paralogue that lets Ephraim speak because I find the idea of playing a paralogue to untape his mouth extremely funny. Make it the Ruled By Madness chapter as well.

first things first, get yourself an autistic tactician. they can only be defeated by another autistic tactician in a battle of wits. we autistic fellows are far beyond you mortals understanding, do not question our ways.

when it's go time it's go time. man will forget to do his basic needs and probably ignore them when he does remember because he is in the zone and needs to work until he no longer can comprehend the simplest tasks. Chrom is one of the few who can get away with dragging his sleep deprived ass away from his precious diagrams and maps without getting electrocuted to unconsciousness. this is because he has grown resistant to it.

our favorite one sleeved blue hair sword man has to either tie his favorite birdie to a bed or practically lay on his until he falls asleep. food comes after the shut eye, all the shepherds learn this the hard way. as his mind starts winding down the exhaustion hits him harder than Truck-kun does an isekai protag. face plants into his soup and will drown if nobody notices the sounds of bubbles popping.

also nobody questions it when they find the great tactician dead to the world with one or more of the shepherds laying with him. during orientation Fredrick tells all new recruits that if they see Robin sleeping with anyone on the list in their pamphlets that neither of them are cheating this is one of two ways to make sure he gets rest. also do not release him if he is chained to a bed unless absolutely necessary he is in gay baby jail being punished for not following the kings orders. if he says he needs to use the bathroom please refer back to the list of people on the pamphlet and locate the nearest one to inform them of the situation.

his favorite nap buddy his Tiki. her body is warmer than others (cuz y'know dragon) and makes a nice cuddle buddy. preferably not her dragon form, he's gotten crushed enough times to know the dangers. his least favorite is Nowi. she's a bed hog and has a habit of transforming in her sleep if her dragonstone is on her.

when he's not on duty he goes out to his favorite bookstores to see if there's any new bestsellers since he's last stopped by. has befriended all the owners and clerks at each one and will spend hours discussing books of all kinds with any of them. his favorite is a back alley shop run by an elder lady who happily listens to his hours long ramblings. she always has his favorite tea in where she keeps her tea for when he drops by so he doesn't get a hoarse voice from all his talking. sometimes he brings Morgan along to chat with the lady instead when he just wants to read quietly. he feels bad otherwise cuz he knows she's a lil lonely.

due to having fought in many battles he isn't phased easily by loud noises. but there are some sounds that just throw him completely off his game. seriously enemies could use this to their advantage he cannot deal with them and have a clear head. Chrom is very aware of how they affect his bestie and tries to find a solution asap. bothered by the sound of the wind sneaking through a crack in the wall? the wall by given the 'Chrom is training and misjudged his strength' treatment. door hinge squeaks make his skin crawl? the door will be replaced within hours even if that means he has to switch it with another door in the building,

the reason Robin wears gloves his because he can't stand the feeling or sight of blood on his hands. it makes him squeamish though he isn't entirely sure why. maybe it's because it reminds him of the relationship he has with Grima. he's a bit embarrassed by this so he doesn't share this with anyone he isn't super close with. only those who are more observant will notice the change in his demeanor because he's so good at hiding it. carries around two extra pairs of gloves in case some get into the ones he's wearing. Miriel, Lisa, and Fredrick also carry some extras. Chrom forgets half the time but he means well.

when he gets super excited about something that goes in hand with his interests he has a tendency to go off on a tangent. you probably won't be able to get a word in and it might take a bit to excuse yourself because he'll keep interrupting you. please be patient with him he's just really happy. his hands are all over the place while he talks and might start pacing around.

his stimming comes in the form of leg bouncing, finger tapping, and pen clicking (or tapping idk if click pens exists for him). unless he's presenting his leg or fingers start moving the longer a meeting is. Fredrick is usually the one to help him keep his stimming from being distracting during meetings as Chrom needs to keep his focus on the meeting at hand. the most Chrom usually does is nudging Robin's foot with his own silently reminding him to not be too distracting. Fredrick's methods involve coughing into his hand, foot nudges, a quick poke to the arm or back, and sometimes (usually when Robin is feeling extremely stressed) setting a hand on his shoulder to help ground him. there have been a few occasions when he's had to have to writing utensil snatched away lightning fast because of the all the racket he's making with it but hey, it happens to the best of us.

will throw up if he gets anything super spongy slimy in his mouth a big no no for him. do not give him calamari he will puke and refuse to eat anything for the next week that isn't something he is absolutely sure is safe.

gets pouty when his favorite pillow is unavailable. it smells like chrom his favorite person and unless he's sleeping with or given something that has the same scent he refuses to sleep. also can't sleep if it's completely silent. a curse of being autistic is your mind is either hyper focused on one thing or there are too many things going through your head. background noise helps to keep his thoughts from running off like that enemy you defeat multiple times but can only kill once you reach a certain part of the game. (looking at you Hubert)

has an after battle routine that must not be disturbed less you want a grumpy tactician on the job. and trust me, a grumpy Robin is a trigger happy Robin. and by that i mean he will cast bolganone at you for simply saying hi.

I don't know if the 07-Ghost fandom is dead or alive, but it's still one of my favourite mangas to this day and I wanna talk about how love is both a blessing and a harbinger of doom in this manga. Let's start with Vanessa Antwort aka Chrom's legal wife and queen (because sadly, Millea Klein was a concubine because she was 'too lowborn' to be the Queen of Raggs).

We know that Vanessa was deeply in love with Chrom, but Chrom was deeply in love with Millea. However, Chrom also didn't treat her badly at all. When Ayanami said that she was granted the greatest consideration, aka having the political power as queen and also having Tiashe/Teito (considering in this era his name was Tiashe, I will be calling him Tiashe here) kept away from her sight, he was correct. While yes, this was definitely for Tiashe's safety because she absolutely did not look fondly upon him, but I think this was considered a concession to Vanessa because Tiashe is basically a living reminder that Vanessa will never be the 'first' in Chrom's eyes. Also I imagine it would be deeply humiliating for a queen, who has yet to have any children yet with the king, to have a concubine's child, who until she and the king have a child is the heir to the throne, be paraded in front of her. So yes, I agree with the notion that she was treated well in Raggs. Especially by Chrom, who despite not loving her the same way he loved Millea, held a degree of fondness or friendship for her and I think treated her with the respect and dignity her status as queen warranted. I think that in another world where Vanessa was not in love with Chrom, this whole political marriage might've worked out well.

Now, we all know Vanessa and Wolfram basically helped start the Raggs war which saw the Raggs kingdom destroyed and its people displaced simply because of . . . Unrequited love. Wolfram, the Emperor of Barsburg, was deeply in love with Millea (who was originally born in Barsburg) while Vanessa was deeply in love with Chrom. Don't get me wrong, these two were manipulated to the high heavens, however it's also important to remember that they did choose to do these things despite knowing it was objectively wrong. So many atrocities in 07-Ghost were done in the name of love, but so many wonderful things as well.

The first example I can think of is Castor and Lazette, who while not a romantic relationship (I don't interpret their relationship as romantic, however if you do then it's your prerogative) is still a relationship full of love. Castor, a young heir to an old and wealthy noble house, died for Lazette, a character whose very species is considered inferior to Castor, nevermind social status. And we see him being moved enough by the depth of Kuroyuri and Haruse's relationship (I'm sorry if I got his name wrong it has been years, it's Haruse right?) to give Haruse another chance at life, instead of the poor, half-life Ayanami was able to grant him. And Labrador's entire past was a tragedy, but he sacrificed himself for love as many characters have done.

Now, let's consider what is arguably one of the most important love stories in 07-Ghost. Verloren and Eve. Of which the entirety of the plot of 07-Ghost wouldn't have happened without them. Verloren and Eve loved one another and when Eve died, it all came apart. It's ironic that despite Verloren acting as if Eve was murdered unjustly, he is in fact her murderer. Her death was unfortunate and dare I say it, almost accidental. She fell back and Verloren touches her to catch her, and we know that as the god of death, his touch kills everything. And because of this, he is obsessed with finding her reincarnation on earth to the point he basically kills people just to see if their soul is truly Eve's and he reincarnates time and time again, just to continue his search for her. And we find out that it's basically all for nothing, because Eve has reincarnated as the light in every human's souls, as the goodness in their hearts. I personally think that it's very fitting that someone as warm and empathetic as Eve had basically become the manifestation of human kindness.

So yeah, I find it beautiful that 07-Ghost shows the duality of love. How love, while generally a positive emotion, can also lead to something terrible. The worst crimes in 07-Ghost are all done in the name of love.

LASLOW: "What's the situation, Inigo?"

INIGO: "Right. Right! After questioning the Summoner on the so-called World of Steel, the Fell Dragon has opened an establishment known as 'Subway'! However, now the Silent Dragon has created a shop known as 'Burger King' on the other side of the street here in the Aether Resort. Things are speeding up in the battle for the best fast food place in Askr. Back to you, Laslow! We need to talk later."

LASLOW: "Haha, no we don't! Figure it out yourself! Thank you for the summary, Inigo! same anon as the not exaggerated joke but not joke about robbing plegia. God I love awakening, I really love chrom and robin and all that. But I am also facinated by Gangrel and Validar (and to a lesser extent Henry and Tharja (and also Mustafa and to an even lesser extent the various plegian officers you fight) Like there could have easily been an interesting exploration of any of those characters. Gangrel's a much less subtle example of how an ATTEMPTED GENOCIDE affected him. He went mad and is lashing out at those who both caused and did not take accountability. Like there's a lot there to unpack and look at, especially when you consider his general dismissal of the grimleal cult. Validar is one I really wish we saw more of (Validad wishful thinking in my brain). He was likely a part of the grimleal since before the war, being a failed vessel; how did he view the genocide, was he moved by what happened to other plegians, did that give him conviction, did he care at all? Did he see grima, or his own child as a means of retribution or even as a saviour for his people. There is so much that could have been done there. Also maybe Tharja and Henry should have more to say about their country being brutalised in 3 whole wars. Also also, please just acknowledge Mustafa he was so fucking cool and deserved a larger role in the story, I'd love them as a continuous antagonist/anti-hero who RIGHTLY points out the hypocricy of the ylisseans while still showing himself to be an empathetic and just leader. Fuck it make him in charge, put him on a council with Validar. Can you imagine the political debates between those two?

Anyway I'm gonna start reading Affectionately Yours to stimulate the part of my brain that awakening didn't

Look, I am deeply and utterly fascinated by Plegia. I have been for a long time. Roughly half my Awakening works on AO3 hinge on some extensive Plegian worldbuilding because Awakening really didn't bother with it and I'm too fascinated to leave it alone.

I have a lot of thoughts about Gangrel. I have a lot of thoughts about Validar. I have a lot of thoughts about who they could have been in different situations, and why they turned out the way they did. I honestly think that Gangrel could have been handled better in Awakening canon: I think his mother was killed by bandits when he was young according to canon? But imagine how much more potent his role in the story becomes if he lost his mother in the attempted genocide -- he was a direct victim, and that unaddressed trauma festered and turned him into the Mad King. (I have a whole post of backstory headcanons about that.) And I think that Validar is underexplored as a character, especially considering that he outright admits he's a failed attempt at creating a vessel for Grima, and what something like that would do to a person. (I have yet another post of backstory headcanons for him.)

Henry...Henry not really having something to say doesn't surprise me. Henry was a victim of basically every system he'd ever been part of. He doesn't have a stake in society, but he's culturally Plegian because it's how he was generally brought up. Tharja, though -- she I think should have things to say about the situation, because even if she does adopt a measure of disinterest in the general situation, that's her home. She's lived through these nightmares and been a witness to their aftermath. The fact that her being Plegian and how that's affected her was entirely squandered is an absolute crime.

and don't get me started on Mustafa. I love Mustafa so much. Mustafa gets a role in basically all my fics, I love him so much. He's in Affectionately Yours. He's in Cursed Fate. He's in both Crown of Shadows and Shrouded Throne. He's in my works in progress, he's in my backburner stories, he's everywhere. I absolutely adore General Mustafa and what he says about Plegia as a country, even though the game tries to pretend that people like him don't exist as soon as we finish out Chapter 11.

I have a lot of Plegia thoughts okay. And a lot of Plegia stories.

I’d like to use it but would very particularly like to remove the chrom/Frederick option for my own playthroughs because Frederick is canonically stated to have helped raise chrom and lissa according to the drama cd so it makes me uncomfortable :’) if it’s not something that can be done I understand, but if it is id very much love to know how to do that!

Hey there, sorry to hear that Chrom/Frederick makes you uncomfortable! This is the first time I'm hearing about this part of the drama CD-I should really listen to/read that one of these days.

It's actually really easy to add/remove support options nowadays, you just need a program called Paragon and a full dump of the vanilla game's romfs (what the folder containing all of the game's files is called). I'll include instructions here below the readme. If you get stuck or can't get things working, feel free to join the discord and we'll be able to help you more directly!

Step 1 - Get a clean dump of your game's romfs.

Citra users: Right click on your game and select 'Dump RomFs'

Luma users: Launch your 3ds while holding Start to run GodMode9. (note: this guide was written for version v2.1.0 of GodMode9 and any older or newer releases may have different wording) - Physical: Select 'GAMECART' - Digital: Select 'SYSNAND SD' and go into 'title' folder. Open the '00040000' folder to find your games and select FEA's title ID. NA: 000A0500 EU: 0009F100 - Open 'NCSD image options…' and select 'Mount image to drive' then press A. Open 'content0.game' and press R+A while hovering over the romfs folder. Copy to 0:/gm9/out. This is the filepath you'll use to find it when you move to your computer.

Step 2 - Now that you have your romfs dump, you're going to download Paragon and start a new project. The project name can be whatever you want it to be, but make sure you select the right language and game. Your Extracted RomFS Directory is the vanilla romfs dump that you just grabbed, and the Output Directory is going to be UGA's romfs folder. The filepaths will be different when using Luma or if you move anything around for ease of access, but it should look something like this when you're done:

Step 3 - To remove the support options itself, you're going to open the Characters module in the section labeled "Core Data". From there, go to Chrom's name and switch to his Supports tab. Scroll down until you see Frederick's name, and change the Support Type from Fast to Non-romantic. Do the same thing for Frederick- select him and look for Chrom in his support tab to change the Support Type from Fast to Non-romantic. If the support type doesn't match for both characters, they won't be able to gain any support ranks at all, so make sure you change both of them!

Step 4 - The previous step removed the ability for them to support, but you probably want to remove the S support from the support log as well. In the main Paragon menu, you're going to look at the left side where it says "Nodes" and look for the option called "Support / Reliance List". From there, go to both characters and delete their last support (the one that says Support Level 4, with 0 as the Support Number). Make sure to select the correct Delete button as shown in this image:

For Frederick, you're also going to want to delete his PC supports with Lucina, so scroll down and delete all three of the Fredrick x Lucina posts that have the Support Type set to Parent/Child. Now, make sure you also go to select the first support in these lists (the first support with male robin) and select the Regenerate IDs option furthest to the right (not the one on top!). The automatic 0 it gives you is fine, this step is to ensure the game reads the edited support log correctly- failing to regenerate IDs may cause issues. Now that that's been done you're finished in Paragon, so you can go to File > Save to save those changes!

Step 5 - The last thing you can do (if you so desire) is delete the actual supports themselves. You can find the support files in romfs/m/E, where you'll see a ton of files named with Japanese characters. Chrom and Frederick's modded supports are named "クロム_フレデリク.bin.lz" while Lucina and Frederick's PC support is named "マルス_フレデリク_親子.bin.lz"

Step 6 - After that, just make sure your romfs folder is where your mods go and you should be set! You should be able to see the changes both in-game and in the support log now.

Lastly, here are a few things you should know when it comes to updates:

The two files you've edited are the static.bin.lz (this controls many things in the game, including support options) and the RelianceList.bin.lz (the support log)

Unless the support options in the latest update change, or there's a bugfix regarding support gain, you will not need to replace your static.bin.lz! Just keep the one you edited when you update, everything will work perfectly fine. I don't expect the static.bin.lz to be updated frequently, but I will be tweaking support options for the Spotpass characters later down the line so you will have to redo Step 3 when that happens.

The support log for UGA has not been finished yet, so the RelianceList.bin.lz WILL get updated in the next major release, so you will have to replace your own edited one. When that happens, you'll have to repeat Step 4 again, but that doesn't take too long so hopefully that's not an issue! When I finish the support log, you won't have to do this ever again.

And that should be everything! I hope it wasn't too confusing- after you set up Paragon for the first time it's honestly really easy to make changes to the game. It's a super friendly program, and you can do all sorts of silly things with it. Like I said though, you're welcome to join the discord for more direct help from us! We're friendly, I promise :P

Actually though now I AM getting the urge to essaypost about the sacrifice ending because... it occurs to me that perhaps "For once, I'm glad you and I are the same." might be a more significant line than I ever realized... If the Chrom ending represents Robin fundamentally changing as a person, then the sacrifice ending represents them NOT changing... but Chrom is insistent in both endings that Robin will always belong with him and the Shepherds. In the sacrifice ending, Robin comes back from death because of the strength of their bonds... but what does that mean?

You know, if you look at Medeus's death quotes in Shadow Dragon and New Mystery...

“Nngh… Defeated again… by humans! Know this, Altean prince… That light which surrounds you is only a temporary respite. So long as the darkness in your hearts continues to sustain me… I cannot be… destroyed…… Rrraaahhh!!!”

“GWAH…! WHY……? WHY… HAVE I… BEEN DEFEATED… SO EASILY…? IS THIS… THE POWER… …OF NAGA'S… Binding Shield…? KNOW THIS, HUMANS… THIS LIGHT IS ONLY A BRIEF RESPITE… SO LONG AS EVIL LURKS WITHIN THE HEARTS OF MAN… SHOULD THIS ACCURSED SHIELD BE LOST, WE SHALL RISE FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL… DO NOT… EVER FORGET…”

It seems to me that Medeus is saying that human hearts have the power to bring him back. I mean, yes, it could very easily be a metaphor. In fact, I think it largely IS figurative, but... The point is that this shit keeps happening because humans want it to happen, right? Like, Medeus was resurrected by GHARNEF; he basically just seized the opportunity this human gave him. Why wouldn't he expect it to happen again someday?

And Grima, of course, was revived by the Grimleal. We've got no word on whether Grima wanted their followers to do this after their original defeat (in fact, technically we do not not even know whether Grima consented to giving any humans their blood. It COULD be that they bestowed it on their followers as a show of favor. I also absolutely would not put it past the Grimleal to have collected Grima's spilled blood after the final battle with the First Exalt and used it for their own purposes... Especially because I do think that's most likely what Forneus did with Naga's blood to create Grima in the first place.). Regardless, Grima answered their followers' call and did exactly what they were asked to do.

And then we have Robin coming back. I think most of us presume that there was no specific revival ritual, but... still, fundamentally, isn't the same principle at play? The Shepherds called and they were answered. And Robin came back as Robin, Brandless and free from the power of the fell dragon, because that is who their loved ones asked for, and that is who Robin wanted to be, and I think in a world where magic exists then it makes perfect sense that a strong enough wish could literally manifest as a spell. (Tharja says in her supports with Ricken that "Curses are a kind of magic that gives life to dreams." so I'm inclined to think that this is very much how magic is intended to work.)

So the sacrifice ending becomes a twist on the cycle. Because the thing is, Robin chose destruction. Robin chose to use their power as Grima to bring about a final end—only in this world their conclusion is not that the world is unable to change and therefore must be destroyed, but that THEY are what cannot change and must be destroyed. "For once, I'm glad you and I are the same." They are embracing it. They are the fell dragon and they can't change but they can do the one thing they always do and destroy. This OUGHT to be a tragic ending where we're all left with the bitter feeling that nothing the hero OR the villain did ever truly mattered at all.

But we're challenging fate, right?

And the thing that Robin has that their future self did not is, of course, all the Shepherds reaching out for them. The original timeline Shepherds thought that Robin betrayed Chrom and then... presumably ran off to serve Grima or whatever (since nobody knows that Robin BECAME Grima). And so there was no one to beg Grima to come back and be with them. No shared wish strong enough to create a miracle. The tragedy played out straightforwardly.

But it was never inevitable. The tragedy didn't happen because there is something inherently wrong with Grima's being. Of course it didn't. They were not alone because they were unlovable but because Validar and the Grimleal had everything set up to ensure that Grima could not do anything but turn to them. ("These followers of Naga will spurn you now that they've learned what you are. Kill me, and you incur the wrath of the Grimleal as well… Would you truly choose to be so utterly alone?" Validar knew exactly what he was doing.)

So with the sacrifice ending... perhaps we're really saying that Robin never needed to change. That even if they never give up this perspective of theirs—that they're a no-good and repulsive being, that they're powerless to change anything, that all they can do is destroy—they're loved anyway, and there is room for them in the world no matter what.

I used to do alot of Vocaloid type of AU art, when I was younger and it was always so much fun.... and then I stopped for some reason and after a lot of unfortunate life events happened a couple of years I was like "Oh why don't I go back to doing this? I had so much fun, but do it with FE" and its been a bad case of the brain worms ever since.

The Evilious Chronicles have always been my favorite song series... at first I told myself I was just going to go based on the songs and not all of the outside lore (it was tempting! but with this being a side passion project I really didn't and still dont have the time to go and hope I could find good translations read all of the light novels and do a deep dive) But its fine because my idea was "what if pocessed by evil dragon" rather than being the vessel of a sin.

I ended up choosing mostly Nohr siblings (because bias) minus Elise because she is too pure... and I think it ended up being pretty solid. Daughter/Servant of Evil - Corrin Twins (obviously... it really started because I craved a love triangle between Corrin Laslow and Azura.... and it fuels me.

Gift From the Princess who Brought Sleep - Azura I had a hard time picking for this one, I sat on it because at this point I had already decided I wanted to stick to mostly the Fates cast if I could (minus one). And Elise.... really-really didnt fit any of them the more I played around with it in my sketchbook the more I liked it for Azura! (Also yes I through Laslow in there too because he is my fav and I love him and I stuffed in everywhere I could)

Duke of Venomania's Madness - Xander I.. was not sure about this one! But at this point I was pretty much sticking to Royals and those with ties to Nohr. Once again I plan to draw Laslow in Kaito's role because I am predictable and simplistic like that.

Tailor of Enbizaka - F!Robin/Grima The only NONE Fates related one. I could have stuck with it and picked a Hoshidan Princess... but idk I like the idea of Robin slowly descending into madness and murdering chroms family one by one and then him.

Muzzle of Nemesis - ???? I dont remember if I've mentioned this one because I think I might have but I'm gonna try to keep it on the downlow to keep with the whole "Master of the Hellish Yard" Vibes.

Adkadoiaj sorry for the word vomit is that, this is the craziest most involved fan-project I've ever done. Also ANYTHING with Lucina and Henri's Chrom. Literally both of them being trans was such a big brain move on our parts, tbh, but I think a standout has to be Lucina trying to dance around the Morgans' existence with Chrom to prevent fucking up the timeline.

Eeeeee I loved the new chapter! These dopes, it's good to see them communicating! ...even if Robin continues to be deeply obtuse about the degree to which Chrom is 1) earnest in love as in everything, and has no intention of courting anyone else ever, and 2) willing to scheme up ways to get to keep Robin, social propriety be damned. Can't wait to see what an absolute disaster of a plan he's come up with!

Also if you were worried about canon deviation, PLEASE bring it on!! I'm so excited to see where this goes, and I love the idea of Marthcina getting more involved because of course she would!

Finally we love jealous Chrom. He's such a good boy and he's actually really bad at being jealous because he both legitimately trusts Robin and would (miserably) let her go if she was happier with someone else...but seeing him grouchy about the idea is adorable and I love it. ❤️ Thank you for the lovely chapter!!

Seeing this in my inbox was such a treat 🥰It's a lot of fun getting to write about Chrom and Robin talking about their feelings so directly and STILL managing to misunderstand where the other is coming from, so I'm really happy you've been enjoying watching it all play out too!

Also glad to hear you're on board with the canon divergence! I do still want the story to feel like it meshes fairly well with the plot of Awakening, so I wouldn't say there are any *drastic* departures planned, but part of the beauty of fandom is getting to take the tools / set-up canon provided and do something new with them. Marthcina definitely creates a lot of fun possibilities 👀

And yes!! :D I think your description of jealous!Chrom perfectly encapsulates exactly what I love about seeing that emotion explored with him. Chrom in canon definitely has some major insecurities to work through (especially during the first half of the game), and I think it's pretty logical those would translate over to romance as well--particularly since he's relatively inexperienced with it here. For him, that jealousy stems from not being confident in the idea that he could make Robin happier than anyone else could, and knowing that if it came down to it, then of *course* he would prioritize her happiness and let her go. It's a very real and very scary possibility in his mind, and Robin alluding to it as part of her plan did Not go over well as a result LOL
