One. I want to write Jibanyan more caring to not only Nate/Keita but also Whisper

like bro....you died after you saved your owner's life from a truck.....so WHY IN FLYING FUCK in both the Anime & game dialogue

Jibanyan justs....blatantly insults whisper EVEN AFTER SEEING HIS PAST & calling his inspirment "lame", not to mention he called whisper a lame yo kai after seeing his past (AND WHEM WAITINGTON/MISTSUNARI LITERALLY GOT BEHEADED)

that's why I'm rewriting Jibanyan to be more caring & sympathetic, yet also strong and passionate. Have his character developed throughout the series.

As for Whisper

Am I the only one the felt sympathy for whisper and hates that he's treated like shit (literally a punching bag in the anime & game)

I LITERALLY gasp &felt sympathy for whisper every time he gets abused for laughs, not to mention his backstory literally made me cry, after some heavy emotional angst it's back to "haha whisper abuse and him getting hurt by anything is funni and also he's so useless and la-"

It sucks to see our marshmallow ghost suffer....and I feel like level 5 has probably can't write flawed or great characters (and also abandoning waitington is a sin! ) nor make great characters arcs or development (seriously level 5....YOU WROTE NI NO KUNI THE WHITE WITCH SO WELL, THE CHARACTERS. THE ANGST. AGGHH!!!! WHY YO KAI WATCH COULD'VE BEEN EMOTIONAL TOO😭 )

The Newsreader S2 Ep 6 (Finale)

A well-written, well-acted, and well-produced season. Anna and Sam showed their range. The whole cast is such a treat to see when they're all working together for a bulletin. Love how they wrote other characters/relationships to be a foil to Helen, Dale or their relationship, especially Rob/Noellene. The set and the fashion are impeccable. My only criticisms are I wish we could see more of how Charlie/Helen crash and burn in more than a montage and a scene and the score, which could have been better imo. Anyway, this should sweep AACTA idc idc

Sam is such a great actor, because we see Dale's acting like he's okay all smiley etc but you know he's breaking inside

Geoff looks sincere with his speech about Kay, but I bet it's Evelyn's idea to put that on the news. Idk I'm still sceptical about those two

Poor Dale, no one can back him up. It hurts that Tim won't help him but it's very understandable after how Dale has been using him after all this time. Plus Tim is in a different relationship with his sexuality than Dale. He's not out, but he has embraced it and doesn't want to hide it anymore. Meanwhile that's impossible for Dale if he still wants a career in front of the camera with a good pay in that era. Which is why I don't see them get back together anymore. In my eyes, it's more like infatuation than love between them, with/without the internalized homophobia. And Tim does deserve to live free from all this drama

Dale Jennings disappointing the whole queer community. Where did that come from? Yes, season 1! Upon reflection, I don't think Gerry did it, but it's definitely someone from the gay club. Someone who saw he's dancing with Tim before. Could be that stranger he slept with. There's no way he didn't know who Dale was. Anyway, Dale feels like the community has betrayed him, so now like a naive child he's getting back at them. (He's still my baby though ❤️)

Could we unalive Lindsey pls? Like he's the epitome of a white man who only knows how to scream and take advantage of any situation. A lot of people's temper would be improved

Dale has definitely been looking up to Geoff. So it's insane when Geoff, who has sacrificed his career for his daughter, is now congratulating Dale, who has sacrificed all of his relationships for his career. It's like the passing of the news desk trap

Why is it with this couple and believing marriage will just solve all your problems? No, I understand they know that they're the life raft to each other, so when they're in a dire moment, they want to make sure they'll have each other always. Forever. And it's insane. And it's so heartbreaking that the moment Helen realizes that Dale has always been fully committed to her and fully supported her is the moment Dale got a confirmation that he really has It to be the king of news, and he won't sacrifice that. Not right now when he's finally had it in his hand

You know, when you think about it, Dale's rejection protects Helen's principle. Because here she's about to use their potential engagement to placate the gossip writer to not publish Dale's story, which would lead to them having to feed her stories on their relationship forever. Which Helen has said before that her private life is not something she would trade. In the end, Donna only gets Dale's life.

It's insane how this episode starts just like Ep 1 and ends just like how season 1 ends.

Also, this is very unnecessary, but please know I worship Sam's and Anna's acting. They're insane throughout this season.

im also including duke a Lot in my story plans just cause 1) i like him and 2) i am giving jason a lot of sky/sun/stars symbolism and there is one other bat that has that in Spades it feels wrong to basically give jay some fusion/solar flare powers without Also including duke's meta powers (even if at this point in the story duke legit didn't exist)

Heya @darkflowerav! Funny you should ask, remember that one Eichi and Solomon doodle I posted back then? I once reblogged it with some personal headcanons on which unit each Obey Me! character would be in but I eventually set it on private since I didn't know much about Enstars back then.

Now that I'm a bit more cultured *cracks knuckles* I'll revise that old list.

Note: We don't have much information about Thirteen, Mephisto, and Raphael to classify them yet so I didn't include them in this list.

Lucifer - Valkyrie

I remember you once commenting that Lucifer was like Shu (and even mentioned that "angel who defied god" line from Miwaku Geki / Enthralling Theatre).

Valkyrie is a unit that showcases artistic forms and is more distanced from its fans compared to the others. Lucifer also has this sense of class and nobility with his music taste and would also strive for perfection like Shu does due to his pride. But despite their arrogance, it is shown that Lucifer cares for his brothers like how Shu cares for Mika.

Mammon - Crazy:B

He has huge Rinne vibes in terms of his risk-taking / gambling addiction that often gets everyone around him into trouble, and his role as a caring older brother. No further explanation. (His personality goes much deeper than that, though.)

Leviathan - RYUSEITAI or Switch

We all know Levi's a huge geek, an absolute dork (affectionate), and a gamer so I'm sure he'd blend in with our favorite heroes and magicians. The "negative" side of his personality also has something in common with the backgrounds of these units, if you know what I mean.

Satan - Double Face

The main characteristic of the unit is in its name; it represents the duality of the unit's members. The current Satan has his gentlemanly facade to hide the wrath that lies within.

Asmodeus - Eden (Eve)

Pretty much Asmo = Hiyori; Eden's style and choreography are known to be flashy and dramatic and Asmo would be more than willing to give fanservice.

Beelzebub - UNDEAD (or Butou-kai)

He's like Adonis as a gentle giant. Taking his character song into consideration, I think Beel's voice suits UNDEAD. If shuffle units count, his physical strength could classify him under Butou-kai. (I mean just imagine Beel in FIST OF SOUL)

Belphegor - Knights (or La Mort)

I associate Belphie with Ritsu and his overall character, including his intelligence and lethargy. His soothing voice also suits those units. Not to mention they both dislike their older brothers and things between them were different in the past.

Diavolo - Eden (Adam)

Diavolo is somewhat like Nagisa in terms of character with both of them having lived in seclusion for some time. While he is the next in line to the throne and asserts authority when necessary, he also has a youthful and energetic side to him that is hidden from the general public.

Barbatos - Valkyrie or AKATSUKI (or XXVeil)

Barbatos is a demon of class and always observes proper discipline and etiquette, not to mention he's an ever-quintessential butler. AKATSUKI's traditional Japanese theme also somewhat suits him. I'd assign him to fine but he doesn't really suit the heavenly theme.

Luke - Ra*bits or fine (or Branco)

Pre-character development Luke is more like Tori and his strictness classifies him more in a unit of authority plus, his status as an angel lines up with fine's theme. But if we're talking about his character song and his overall cuteness, he'd most likely be in Ra*bits or Branco.

Simeon - fine or Knights

If Luke is Tori, Simeon would be Yuzuru. Simeon is a representative from the Celestial Realm but also has a terrifying side to him when it comes to his concealed wrath. His protective role as an angel could also line up with Knights' chivalry.

Solomon - Double Face

Cat group as Double Face; similar reason to Satan's. Solomon may be kind and is often shown to be calm and collected with a smile, but there are a lot of dark mysteries about him that we have yet to uncover. (Too bad he can't cook like Mama does)

since you've been taking a deep dive into ninjago pls grace us with the answer to this question: face character and fave season?

mmm i mostly engage with ninjago w a “enjoy the ride” type attitude so i pretty much find something to like with all the characters and seasons, but i think my favorite characters (as in the ones that occupy my brain the most) would probably be Zane or Kai :) and as a bonus, pixal is my fave out of the non ninja characters.

as for my favorite season, hmmmm again they’re all pretty different and have something i like about them, but overall i guess season 9? mainly bc i loved watching the og4 trapped in another realm and taking care of tiny Wu, which was reminiscent of them taking care of tiny lloyd in s1 but with heightened graphics and storytelling this time. also why i liked s8 too. something about it was so fun to me. i also liked watching lloyd earn his title of leader with nya’s help :) and the music was hyyyyyyype

but theres a bunch of stuff i liked from other seasons too, like the island part and final battle in s8 were iconic to me, i enjoyed how s6 started to bring in a more character development type stuff for the whole season (idk how to explain it but something in the air felt like it changed post s6) , s4 had iconic kai moments, s3 gave me PIXAL💖, etc etc and the newer seasons have really cool animated fight scenes 😳

so yeah i don’t have a definite fave season 🤷🏻‍♀️ as long as i had a fun time its good in my book

I just wanted to take a moment and say how deeply moving (and overall comforting) I find your writing to be! I've gone through almost the entirety of your masterlist twice in the past month alone and have found myself returning more often to the pieces of literature/poems your reference sometimes. (Especially that one poem by Benedict Smith! I've read a few more by him because of you and they're just wonderfully lovely 💛 so I'm eternally thankful to you for including it.)

I may be wrong in assuming, but I believe you may have studied/are currently studying a degree involving literature. I hope this isn't too foreward of me but I was wandering if you have any other works of literature that you'd recommend? (I'd love to read anything you recommend from poems to plays 💛) I'm slightly embaressed to say but the works I've read are quite limited to a highschool level and since I'm currently studying Pharmacy, there are very few people who can recommend me such moving works. :)

First of all... I'm incredibly sorry for how long it took me to reply to this ask, I know you sent it weeks ago and I'm honestly just ashamed of myself for only replying now! I've been taking a bit of a Tumblr break again, or rather a break from literally everything, and I guess not having written anything in a while made me feel guilty whenever I opened Tumblr, so... All I can say for myself really is that I'm sorry you had to wait so long! Again, I never ever ignore anyone, I promise! It just sometimes takes a while for me to reply 😅🙈

I have a few up my sleeve, even though you've probably heard of a few already, for obvious reasons: A lot of what I truly enjoyed reading was something Tom Hiddleston has worked on in one way or another! It's truly a magnificent guideline for picking new literature... Just look up the literary origins of his films/shows/plays and you will be in for quality literature most of the time! I don't think I've ever mentioned it on here, but me reading High-Rise (JG Ballard) because I heard Tom would be partaking in the film adaptation was actually what sparked my love and passion for literature!!! Yep, it's that good. Now on to the recommendations though 😁(This... got rather long):

Plays

Anything by Harold Pinter really, but for obvious reasons you'll find a lot of additionally fun stuff for Betrayal, which is lovely and truly funny if you're in on the kind of humour btw

Medea by Euripides (a classic, but I love it nonetheless... You can find translations in almost every language) ((and pls stay away from Seneca's Medea, because ugh... Euripides is far better AND the og story, as much as anyone can say that for Greek mythology)

La Bohème by Puccini (I know, this is technically an opera, but if you read the libretto it's honestly just like a play... And if you're up for it, the og story is in prose and written by Henri Murger... It's better than the opera, but oftentimes more difficult to find) ((this one is hilarious and basically explains an entire cultural subgroup in the 19th century)

Faust by Goethe (many people hate it, but I LOVE this one!!! It's also been translated into any and every language, and it's so interesting philosophically!!! It's also referenced SO freaking often literally everywhere, and the operas and ballets based on it are always my fave) ((there's technically Faust I and Faust II, but you're good to go just reading the first one)

Anything by Shakespeare, obviously... Though I do love me my Hamlet like every other literature enthusiast (Yes, I can do that one famous soliloquy in act 3 scene 1 by heart as well...)

Poetry

Again, anything Shakespeare for the win, but I LOVE the sonnets and keep a copy of them with me most of the time (Yes, I own multiple copies of the sonnets...) ((My faves are 116 and 91, but there's always so much truth to be found in there!!!))

A lot of the stuff William Blake wrote is amazing, though you have to pick carefully with him if certain religious motives aren't your thing... I love The Tyger, which is an individual poem, and the collection of works called Tyger, Tyger which does have many good ones and a few ones that are a little more on the mediocre side

Do not go gentle into that good night by Dylan Thomas (I know this one by heart as well... It's beautiful, and there's a version of Hiddleston reading it on YouTube, which gives you even more goosebumps than the poem does anyway)

Invictus by William Ernest Henley (same for this one, also read by the one and only) ((I love to read this when I'm feeling down or powerless))

The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T. S. Eliot (This is another wow piece with many quotable lines and truths... I love it a lot and keep coming back to it! It's also a great example of how literary modernism tried to condense the complexity and passing of time and history into a single frame that had to be intrinsically poetical in nature... As in, this poem could've been a short story in any other period, but modernists loved to make everything a poem so here you go)

Der Zauberlehrling by Goethe (This one sucks in all English translations I’ve found, poetically speaking, but in German it’s such a fun piece! If you’ve ever seen the Disney ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ with Mickey Mouse or listened to the orchestral piece by Paul Dukas, then this poem proves very useful in truly understanding either! But again, the English translation should only be taken for informational value... The German one is also worded hilariously)

Prose

Short edited by Alan Ziegler (This is a collection of short prose forms that honestly is a must for me... I love this book to pieces and have had it for years now! It’s an international anthology, so you’ll find more and less famous authors from all around the world represented with short stories, prose poems, short essays and just curious and interesting snippets of writing! I draw a lot of inspiration from this book)

High-Rise by JG Ballard (As mentioned above, I owe this book part of my personality... I don’t think I would be the same person without having read it. It’s not necessarily full of wisdom, but if you’re interested in a different kind of portrayal of the human condition, then this is the read you need to take a look at)

The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers (This is another piece that changed my perception of literature, even though this is a more ordinary and ‘fun’-value read... It’s one of my favourite books and it’s endlessly entertaining! So if the classics are a bit heavy for you, this one is perfect for casual readers as well! Its value really does lie more in the realisation of how fun literature can be, and the freedom you have as an author... So really, I could recommend everything by Moers, his style is amazing both in the German original and in the English translation. Yes, I’ve read both.)

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett (This is comedic gold, stylistic gold and generally a bloody perfect book. Also a ‘fun’-value read, but it also does a magnificent job at showing you what you can do with literature, and how well-developed characters are supposed to be written)

The Penguin Book of the Undead (Penguin Classics) edited by Scott G. Bruce (This book is basically an education on fifteen hundred years of supernatural encounters and how culture wrote, used and perceived them. You get introductory texts for different periods and social groups, explaining how and why ghost stories were written and used, followed by passages of the prime source texts (eg. ancient necromancy shown on The Odyssey). Really, this book is just for cultural history nerds)

The Earthquake in Chile by Kleist (This isn’t necessarily one of my faves, but it has helped me understand what studying literature and culture can do for you. In case anyone remembers my insistence in Wicked Game that you gotta know what a pomegranate symbolises... this novella is such an instance where this knowledge would prove useful. Generally, it gives many opportunities to think about privilege and circumstance)

The Symposium by Plato (You’ll probably not want to read the entire collection of speeches tbh... But the concepts introduced mainly here and in some of Plato’s other work are well worth looking into! For example, the ‘double being’ introduces a concept that in modern fiction is called soulmates... Just sayin’)

Watched Cobra Kai because I saw it all over tumblr and really enjoyed it. I got to be honest though not once watching this show did I ever see anything between Hawk and Demetri. I really tried because they are super popular on this site but I just found their relationship pretty toxic I mean Hawk broke Demetri’s arm which is super messed up. I can see them working on their friendship in the future which would be awesome! I just don’t get shipping vibes from them at all. Now Miguel and Hawk is a whole other thing! I’m actually shocked they aren’t bigger because to me they have the best chemistry together out of all the kids. Also Hawk’s whole arc from season 3 is motivated by Miguel. He’s mind is on Miguel the whole season even when they were “broken up”. And you can’t tell me that next season he won’t be fighting over Miguel with Sam.

Welcome aboard the Cobra Kai hype train!! Love that tumblr is what got you into the chaos of that show!

Yeahhh listen if you've seen... well, just about any of my posts, you'll know my thoughts on the Hawk/Demetri thing. It's just not my personal jam for many reasons and the whole breaking of the arm thing is a big one. But I do genuinely look forward to working on the friendship. Mostly because I think it's really important for both of their character developments and also because at the end of the day, I have a soft spot for childhood friendships. They were kind of in the trenches in their own right, with the bullying and what not, and I think it would be cool to see them develop a different friendship in the wake of all the madness. Preferably, one built a bit more on mutual respect.

As for Migueli, YES. WELCOME. It's a tiny little raft but a lovely and hardworking crew lmao they remain my absolute favorite friendship on the show and I love the idea that it could develop into something further or that there could be feelings neither of them are quite aware of. I have many Thoughts™ about Miguel being the motivation for Hawk's actions in S3. PRIME shipping fodder in my opinion. And there's really something to be said for the fact that neither of them were interested in trying to bash or terrorize the other, even when they ended up on opposite sides of the battle for the valley.

Given that this ask was sent awhile ago (again, apologies lol), you may have already discovered this but! If you're looking for any great Migueli-related content, BetaCobra (@afurioushawk) is really doing the lord's work and keeping the ship alive in the fanfic realm. I'm currently catching up on his fics now! AcrylicPizza (@despairsquid) has a great Migueli story up that I need to catch up on and I think a new one as well?? And @plastic-cutlery-queen has some really incredible artwork!

Basically. Novelmore is, as you can tell, a playmobil show about knights and shit. (If you don't care about dets on the characters and basic plot, skip to the cursive part where i say why you should watch the show.)

The kingdom of Novelmore is in danger due to the Burnham Raiders. They're the troupe of Burnham's (fire kingdom) king, Lord Bayron, who wants to invade Novelmore. (That's the premise, but there's more plot stuff happening than just attack and defense.)

Novelmore's king (voiced by Mark Oliver (Garmadon)), however, is ignoring this threat, saying Novelmore should only mind its own business. So it's our three main heroes team up to try and defend the kingdom.

Main main guy is Arwynn (voiced by Vincent Tong (Kai)), he is the prince and has trained himself to be a proper knight. Not the BEST one yet, but he's doing his best and also tries to convince his father that things need to change and that they shouldn't be dismissing the theat to the realm.

Next up is Gywnn who is also a young warrior wishing to defend the realm. Learned from her uncle, she also has compassion for and a way with animals, especially her wolf! At first, the show makes you think it'll do the trope of "girl wants to fight but is dismissed for being a girl<3 so she proves that she's still super cool though and kicks butt because feminism uwu", but luckily that's not actually the case and she DOES have a character outside of being a girl who can fight.

Last of the hero bunch is Dario. An inventor who is more humble and less confident than thr first two fighters. Coming from a line of legendary inventors, he feels a lot of pressure to also achieve great things. But at the end of the day, he tends to be able to trust in himself and provide the help the team needs.

On the Burnham Raiders' side, there are technically more characters to speak about but the most important ones for now (and most interesting) are:

Brody, the son of Lord Bayron. Similair to Arwynn, he faces a lot of struggle not being taken seriously by his father (and the other raiders for that matter) and he really wants to prove himself.

Another notable raider is Kahboom. King's jester guy, rival to Brody (and fighter for Bayron's approval). He likes blowing shit up and causing problems on purpose. The only downside to him is his outfit, honey pls

Some of this sounds pretty basic i imagine, but why should you watch the show? Well!

Despite not having the most original of concepts, the show never gets too boring or too predictable. There's never too much or too little stuff happening at once, the pacing is pretty good! Both the hero characters and the villain characters can be enjoyable to watch. The dialogue is decent, as well as the humor. They don't stand out too much but i assure you, there were moments that caught me off guard and you'll probably find yourself laughing at some of it!! The character dynamics are very neat as well, especially between the three main characters. Despite rivalries between Arwynn and Gwynn at times, the characters aren't unnecessarily mean to each other, they actually treat each other with respect and develop a sweet friendship which is just refreshing and nice to watch. Also, none of them (any of the characters actually) is really played stupid for laughs, they can all be a bit silly but also all take things reasonably seriously. They just feel like actual people. (Also there's no romance.)

Overall, the show is rather enjoyable and it will probably have some characters, moments, or sub-plots that stand out to you and that you'll want to see more of. Especially if you like ninjago?? I think you should give the show a shot!! You'll probably enjoy yourself!

Interesting take, evidence pls

Okay okay so let’s start by examining Lloyd. I’ll start by saying Lloyd is indeed a unique character in his own right, who happens to carry traits picked up from those around him that contribute to that character. Keep in mind this all revolves around my personal take on all these characters.

Lloyd is a lot of things. Brave. Loyal. Trusting. Courageous, strong-willed and intelligent. He’s fairly good at analyzing a situation and making good judgments calls He leads with a quite confidence that comes from knowing he can trust his team.

Now looking at his teammates and how they influence him

Kai: arguably the closest to Lloyd on the team, this one is obvious. We know Kai is prone to crazy ideas and is 100% uncompromising when it comes to giving up on those he cares about. Lloyd is absolutely the same way. When he’s on his own, some of the things he decides to do are downright insane. And we SEE that Lloyd is just as uncompromising as Kai when it comes to not giving up on those he cares about. Much like Kai he has been known to let emotion cloud his judgment in these situations. The most notable examples are Lloyd’s interactions with Garmadon in s8/9 and the Ice Emperor in s11.

Nya: Nya is outspoken and unrelenting. We’ve seen her shift from someone who gives up easily to someone who can be counted on to make a best effort. This one is easy as well. Now she isn’t the only one who inspires change in him, but in s9 we see first hand how Nya’s confidence and subsequent refusal to give up even when Lloyd himself has lost all hope inspire him. He is able to gain his confidence back in part because of her and her support, and I see in his subsequent actions during said season, a large reflection of Nya. And when he was young, he saw first hand Nya being strong and independent and doing what she thought was right even against the wishes of others. Guess who else acts like that? Lloyd Garmadon.

Cole: this is more general, based on Cole’s behavior as leader and Lloyd’s. Cole was a good leader. He’s a solid foundation to the team, and someone everyone can rely on. He’s good at balancing being a leader with being himself. I think Lloyd probably talked with him about how to best be a leader. I see some of Cole’s leadership traits in Lloyd, when he listens to everyone and tries his best to be fair and understanding when making decisions for the team. I can see him modeling himself after Cole, trying to be a calm and collected, level headed leader.

Jay: a little different. More of a skill than a personality trait, but I’ve noticed Lloyd is somewhat skilled as a mechanic. (Hello fixing the mech in s11?) Some doesn’t just learn how to do things like that. And who’s the resident builder/engineer on the team? Jay. So basically my hc that Lloyd picked up those skills from Jay. Jay is also inherently a trusting person. Until proven otherwise, Jay assumes there isn’t any ill will towards him from the people he meets. Lloyd is similar in this way. (Barring his obviously trauma from the whole Harumi incident)

Zane: HELLO SELF-SACRIFICING IDIOTS. Both of these characters would not hesitate to give their lives for their loved ones. And while Lloyd may have turned out that way on his own, there’s no arguing that he had a prime example in Zane. Zane is also logical, and very reason based. I think Lloyd tries to mimic that. We know he trusts Zane’s options and input, and I feel Lloyd tries to see situations through Zane’s eyes.

I see him blending all of these things into the person he has become. Important pieces he picked up from the people he loves and looks up to that are integral to his character. Lloyd would not be Lloyd if not for his team. They more definitely played an important role in his development.

At least that’s my take on the matter. It’s how he reads to me.

Where do is start I haven't infodumped about my stories here on Tumblr in SO long ok so there's A Space Story, and there's The Otherworld

A Space Story has a main cast of 7 different people... let's see if I can remember names uhh there's Jackie, Robyn, Noah, Elizabeth, Kai, uhhh hold on real quick-- ok the last two are Skylar and Alexis.

Basic plot is that Noah, Robyn, and Jackie were stranded on earth alone for 4 years (earth was dying, most of humanity left via rockets into far corners of outer space, but ofc ppl were left behind bc they couldn't make it in time. :/). The rest of the cast (nonhuman, from somewhere else in outer space) crash lands on earth at the end of those 4 years. They meet, something something plot plot etc etc then boom found family but. In Space. The original goal I had for this was found family, happy times, and queer jokes/puns (I think every single one of the cast is queer in some way). I should try and find the original drawings of everyone...

God, that was all like... I don't even know... 3, 4 years ago? I didn't abandon it I just didn't know how to continue, yk? It was also created very early on in my time as an artist. I had just begun drawing and creating. I didn't have enough skills to portray what I wanted and I felt bad about it, but it's ok bc it was a stepping stone to The Otherworld :)

The Otherworld is another fantasy setting story. Two characters, Mc1 and Mc2 (I don't spend time on names like I used to. When I figure it out, I figure it out), are somehow thrown through a portal into another dimension. Mc1 lands deep in the Infinite Forest, whereas Mc2 lands in the middle of a castle. The castle, which is on a hill surrounded by a village, is home the Ruler Of The Kingdom-- Rotk for short. Rotk is not a kind being. Nobody knows their true intentions, but they don't use their powers for good, and in turn hurt the whole kingdom.

The first part of the story is how mc1 gets out of the forest (it takes a few years, actually) and finds Mc2. The second part is how Mc1, Mc2, and the 3 creatures they've befriended defeat Rotk. The third part is when everyone starts to really think about all the trauma they've gone through just to defeat Rotk. They have to work through what's happened, not only to them, but to all the people in the kingdom who are carrying massive generational trauma.

I have a whole Google doc dedicated to parts of the ecosystem, the history of this kingdom and its people, and the change over time in said kingdom. There's different social norms and expectations when the people first develop the kingdom vs after Rotk takes over and causes the Era Of Silence.

I don't know how the otherworld ends because I'm still chipping away at the world it encompasses. It's like, everything is already there, I just need to discover it :)
