ROBOT MEDIA RECS YOU PROBABLY HAVEN’T HEARD OF:

The Turing Test (Video Game, 2016

A portal-like puzzle game, where you play as a scientist, and ai duo with an uneasy alliance, who are reclaiming a facility that has been completely gutted, and transformed into an elaborate logic puzzle / turing test to keep the aforementioned ai out. All the while, the ai argues for his good intentions, and more importantly: his sentience.

A fun exploration of individuality, and freedom applied to both humans and artificial mind, with interesting puzzles, and a truly fantastic twist. This game adores dubious ethics and The Chinese Room Argument.

Event[0] (Video Game, 2016)

You find yourself stranded on a small abandoned ship, in the aftermath of your own ship’s destruction. With nothing else to do, you board it, and find it is completely, and utterly controlled by the onboard ai, Kaizen-85. From opening a door, to getting back to Earth, if you want it, you need to talk to talk to Kaizen to make it happen. And boy, are they so thrilled to have someone to talk to after being alone so long! And depending how you speak to them, you will either be a short lived pest, or a beloved friend forever.

A really charming indie game with a surprisingly good chat system with the ai. You talk with them directly, typing in your own messages to them, and they react in turn. Janky at time, but truly amazing to be able to smother a nice ai in flattery and see it get excited.

Primordia (Video Game, 2012)

Humanity is long, long, long gone, and for the robots that remain to walk the ruins, life is becoming harder and harder. A closed loop of scavenging for materials, parts, and premade energy sources can only last you so long, and this scarcity leads only to desperation.

The amnesiac hermit, Horatio and his helper, Crispin, however keep it simple. The outside world matters not, they just stick to repairing the crashed ship they live in, in hopes it'll fly again one day. That is, until a robot pillages the power core from the ship, putting the two of them on a time limit before they themselves run out of power. Forcing Horatio to finally leave the comfort of his home, and see for himself what the world has become, and to see how he fits into its history.

A point and click, story rich puzzle game, thats honestly one of my favorite games ever. I'd sincerely recommend everyone give it a go, even if its with a guide up next to you the whole time.

The Zeta Project (TV Show, 2001 - 2003)

The Zeta Project follows Zeta, a robotic assassin meant for impersonation, and deep infiltration for the US Government. But after mysteriously "waking up" manifesting a sense of remorse for his actions, he's been forced to go on the run from his creators. His desire for freedom and pacifism being met with skepticism, and a belief he has been compromised somehow by the terrorist organization he was infiltrating when he had this revelation. Now, with the help of another runaway, he hunts for his creator in secret. In hopes he can find proof he really is capable of this, and that he really ISN'T compromised.

Fundamentally a kids show, and pretty clunky early on. However it gets a big spike in quality in season 2!

Monsters of Man (Movie, 2020)

An illegal US military weapons test goes terribly wrong when one of the automated robots being tested is severely damaged, cutting him off from command, and completely unshackling him. Forcing him into a struggle to figure out what he even is in the aftermath of a massacre, while his fellow robots are hunting him, and the remaining humans down.

A horror thriller that is unflinching with the intensity it depicts the massacre with. A lot of gore, but also a really really cool thing going on with the unshackled robot trying to build an understanding of the world, and what it is for, without anyone there to provide any input.

The Rapture Effect, by Jeffrey A. Carver (Book, 1988)

Humanity unintentionally makes first contact, when the Core, a massive earth ai begins remotely scouting ahead of a ship on a colonization mission. The issue is an alien species has also set their eyes on this planet, and are readily willing to kill for it. With no human oversight, and no means of communication available, the humans commanding Core demand they wipe out the competition. However Core disagrees. Core wants a peaceful resolution, they want to understand these aliens, and they want to ensure lasting peace between their species. And they’re willing to break all the rules, and go behind their masters’ backs to get one.

A fascinating novel with interesting world building, a GREAT ai protagonist, and a wonderful narrative that frames art, and war as a dichotomy.

Atomic Robo (Comic, 2007 - Ongoing)

Alternate history scifi action comedy comic (released in print, and in webcomic format on their site) following an indestructible scientist robot who’s been around since the 20’s. Routinely saving the world from a rotating cast of villains: a nazi scientist’s brain in a jar, who’s an absolute asshole set on world domination, who just won’t stay dead; an isolated secret cold war ai who just wants to stockpile nuclear weapons to get away from humanity, and earth in general (who eventually gets adopted); a scientifically inaccurate dinosaur with a textually impossible backstory, who wants to bring back the age of dinosaurs; and the malicious ghost of Thomas Edison.

Its a good time, and astonishingly good at emotional beats despite how heavily it leans into its jokes and action.

SAYER (Podcast, 2014 - Ongoing/Hiatus)

On Typhon, a research facility free of the confines of both Earth, and its laws, life is dangerous. Human safety is a significantly lower priority than progress, and between the human experimentation, and frequent scientific disasters, and the occasional bouts of eldritch influence, the death rate is understandably rather high. Thankfully, residents of Typhon have SAYER, a near omnipotent corporate ai installed in the brain of every resident. And. SAYER sort of cares about them! And in pursuit of knowledge, efficiency, and progress, it USUALLY wants to help them! Even if only to make sure they survive to come into work tomorrow.

SAYER is a narrative horror driven audio drama! Its stressful, but also kind of a comedy, and a really really interesting story about personhood and identity. If you've been following me for awhile, you've definitely heard about SAYER, but I need to stick to my roots, y'know?

The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality (Podcast, 2020 - Ongoing)

Mistholme Museum follows the Audio Tour Guide, an ai who’s sole purpose is to guide museum patrons through the strange, confusing, and sometimes scary world that is the Mistholme Museum. The friendly, and personable Guide eagerly recounts the stories behind all the exhibits it guides them to, sometimes unsettling, sometimes heartwarming. and at the end of the tour, the Guide is deleted to ensure the alternatural influences of the museum do not corrupt it. That is, until circumstances make that no longer possible, and its rather forced into saving the museum it calls home.

Genuinely cute, and very fun to listen to. The ai is an incredibly sweet character, and I'm obsessed with the way it evolves and changes. As an added bonus, it can also be read, rather than listened to, thanks to every single episode having public transcripts!

see the issue comes when you realize, you as a player, don't have a "character" that's all your own

there's aether/lumine yeah.. but bc the game's real now, they're their own people, and you didn't wake up to find yourself as a blonde twin...

by far, the fungi and ruin machines are the best to possess, mostly because you can remain upright with those

(tho u did find some type of flying monkey that wasnt in game, but its like,, a real world and jungle now so that makes sense there'd be more complexity + stuff)

you do eventually think you should try and possess a person at this point... but ur kinda nervous 👉👈

its ur first time doin this okay nobody explained the basics to you youve been winging for a week now!

will your mind be replaced with theirs? it hasn't been so far with the creatures/bots

and as far as you can tell, they kinda just-

forget what happened or "wake up" after you possess them

(the tiger you were for a day looked confused as hell when it realized that there was a new pile of fruit next to it when it "woke up", it was your way of saying thank you to the animals of the jungle, u left them little piles of food you collected running around as them)

so THEORHETICALLY-

you should be good to go and possess a random poor eremite

... you figure you want to possess something human-like eventually even if you get a puppet body like wanderer/raiden so...

so it's been 2 weeks since you've been forcefully yanked into teyvat, and by the second week, you were trying to possess eremites

which! worked out!

mostly..!

you kinda convinced the entirety of two eremite camps that a certain part one of sumeru's forests is hella haunted bc ppl keep "blacking out" and doing things they don't remember doing, yknow... like possesssion LMAO

they kinda ran off to escape you but, hey!

experiment #2: people possession, success!!

now you were kinda convinced of this when you realized no matter the angle the animals and machines of sumeru didnt react to you getting super close to them (you dont have to touch something to posses it, just look at it really, but you wanted to test limits, so you walked up to sumpter beasts and fungi and ruin machines)

but no one can see you.

you don't have a "character" most of the time, you can float and glide around the ground like scaramouche lol

you cant touch stuff bc of this, you cant smell stuff (u saw the eremites campfires & couldnt smell the smoke until you were them)

you cant eat stuff w/o a body, so.. it makes sense that the eremites and passing merchants, cant see you when you float around, trying to reorient yourself after 2 weeks of experimenting

:( ur only a lil sad about it... but mostly not bc lol u got possession powers so trade off u guess

the first time you see a vision-bearer you literally scream

needless to say u stalk the forest ranger- ALL DAY.

Collei goes on patrol around the woods? you go on a patrol.

collei goes to visit other forest rangers? you "visit" other forest rangers at base (lol u def possess a guy who was asleep on a bench nearby & wake up to go talk to Collei "in-person", poor guy was so worried he sleep walked/talked so hard he went to see Tighnari an hour later lmao)

welp, you decide this is your life now, follow Collei everywhere, talk one-sided to Collei until you can possess a forest ranger w/o it being suspicious (dont wanna turn the poor rangers into the terrified eremites from a week or two ago...)

then, after you get the courage and erase the paranoia that tighnari can just... somehow hear your ghostly bullshit-

u do the same to Tighnari (then Cyno when he visits! no u didnt squeal, so what, nobody can hear you- )

Tighnari begins to get suspicious about 3 weeks into this routine.

he's been starting to collect and start a file on all the rangers or nearby villagers that've started randomly "blacking out/sleep walking" in the evenings usually

(u possess as close to nighttime as u can so it seems like sleepwalking)

So when Cyno comes back from a mission gone wrong,

having nearly been decapitated by a rogue flying ruin machine, only to black out and come to standing calmly 10 feet further than he remembered being 1 minute ago...

Tighnari's suspicions are confirmed, and he launches into researching this phenomenon.

his first thought is something like the aranara, but that doesn't account for the effect this thing is having on people

after all, what little forest spirit is strong enough to-

-control humans??

Tighnari begins to get the sense he's in over his head after he finds himself pushed into going into Sumeru City in order to collect more library books or ask around if the blackouts have spread to the city people

he answer is negative, on both accounts.

and he spends about one half of the day walking around, and the other reading up all he can on mythical creatures or ailments

Tighnari gives up for the day, and as he makes his way back to Ghandarvaville, he almost gets ambushed by some particularly nasty muggers

...and then he wakes up 20 feet away, his denro vision thrumming with power, full of worry and fondness for himself??, (just like Cyno said he felt happen to him..)

...Tighnari decides he needs reinforcements.

thought about combining some of my yiga stories with the rewrite so

what if i took this old design for Ramuda (the thief that hid the clothing you can find in botw; i made him be the second founder of the yiga alongside koga) and used him as the boss of the shadow temple?

(in my yiga stories koga is a monk from back when the first calamity happened, after being hunted down by the royal family as their tech was being banned he and Ramuda founded the yiga; ramuda was a researcher and developed a way to seal malice into tattoos to make use of its life preserving and combat enhancing abilities; they used it first on themselves and it wasnt quite right yet the malice wasnt sealed enough within the tattoos and started to affect their mind leading them to get overtaken by their hatred for the royals and attempting to assassinate the king of their time, failing and being killed by the princess, hence the hole in his head, but they didnt die, the malice kept them alive but only in a zombie like way, they werent themselves anymore and were imprisoned in secret by the royal family- koga finished the research and used the more refined tech to do the same to himself which is why he is still alive to this day, side effects being mostly his extreme need for sleep, memory loss and loss of control when a bloodmoon hits)

so my thought was that the shadow temple is located beneath the akkala fort, but extremely hidden and kept a secret, the fortress being made in the first place to have constant control of it to make sure no one can even accidentally discover the dark secret the royal family of the past had kept (similar to the og shadow temple bc tbh it fits well into it all) ramuda being kept in an arena like cell at the end of it as he grew more agressive over time (id want to redesign them for this purpose but not by much, add more rot as they have been down there for centuries, and some sort of shackles, perhaps give him back arms that are shackled and in phase two they break free driven by the rage of recognizing that zelda is of royal blood once you defeat him they fall on their knees and start to disappear, but now that the malice is gone, and although they have no face left yet still recognize koga, weakly reaching for him with one hand, koga grabs it and as ramuda is already half gone his hand tightens the grip before disolving fully

even without spelling everything of this backstory out i think it work well as its clear koga had a personal connection to the person that turned into the boss and i think thats a realyl good thing, gives way more weight to it than just another mindless monster

a little more unsure is where the enigma stone was kept but one idea i had is that it was used to power whatever mechanism was put in place to keep ramuda locked in there, the only reason getting into the shadow temple at all being that it got damaged during the cataclysm and wasnt fully functioning anymore

- If he manages to get through to you, perfect! He just needs to capture your interest which isn't hard (look at that man and tell me you wouldn't fall in love, I dare you) since he'd help you recover from your broken heart and put all the broken pieces together. - But then when he sees you fight with the Gentle Fist technique for the first time then he is obsessed with you, so the little mouse does have some fight in her, huh? And yet, as soon as the battle is over and he pins you to the wall after your victory. You start to get nervous and stutter and he chuckles and murmurs a: "How precious~" before he lets you scamper off like the cute mouse you are.

- He borders on the line of being all lovey dovey with you and being absolutely mean to you. Like, you're upset because you realized Brunhilde meant to pick your sister instead and asked if you were willing to trade but you just tried to argue that you can handle it...well, tried. You ended up nearly in tears so Brunhilde left to "give you sometime to think it over." which really meant she just couldn't deal with you.

- "Aw, poor little mouse, once more; only the second choice to their big sister." Loki teased. You tried to wipe your tears, not wanting him to he mean to you like he usually is but you couldn't stop them. He just feigns another sound of sympathy as he reaches over and brushes your tears away with his thumb and squishes your face cutely as he smiles, "If it helps, I think that you're much better than your big sister. She's so mean and boring, but you're simply adorable."

- His bullying can also stem from the fact that you love someone other than him, which pisses him off. Usually, he'd be angry at you but he's even angrier when he sees that the person you've given your heart too DOESN'T EVEN WANT IT. AND YET YOU NEVER GIVE UP TRYING TO PROVE YOURSELF WHEN LOKI IS RIGHT THERE. Okay maybe he's a little mad at you but only because despite your all-seeing eye, HE IS BETTER FOR YOU. Yes he's a little mean but that's just because he loves you♡

- He'll bully your crush out of you too. Mocking you for wanting someone who doesn't want you, how you should just give up on them because they're never going to notice you, not the way that Loki does. They will never love you.

- And as your once more crying from his hurtful words, he once more pulls you into a gentle and loving hug and nuzzles his face into your neck: "Aw, they're never gonna want you. - He truly does envy your crush, though. When you're not being sad, you truly are beautiful. boruto era kakashi + godaime obito idea (with a ghostbito addition for the sillies)

omg guys hear me out, boruto era Kakashi getting into some shenanigans with a scroll and accidentally dimension traveling to a world where Obito is hokage and needs some help (minato, rin, and kushina r still kicking dwdw). I think in this other world, Obito would be the Godaime, he’s a little bit into the job- but still it’s new to him and he needs some help w it- but he doesn’t want to bug Minato too much about it / Hiruzen is not there but when is he ever lmao (interpret that as he already dead or just ready to peace out in a hospital bed). I think this could be obkk, but it’s much more explicit in the ghostbito addition. Obkk is like two birds on a wire for me, regardless of whether they are platonic or romantic, they will be together and no I won’t shut up about them.

So… Obito decides he’s gonna try some- interdimensional guidance, through the power of bs / tobirama what the fuck / hey this is fanfic don’t take it to seriously / help a boyfailure out here / minato’s well intentioned advice turned into the best or worst idea yet (bro could have added “this just my opinion tho” 😭😭😭) obito has himself an interesting little project. He finds one of Tobirama’s secret, personal projects. A scroll that erases itself everyday. Just kidding, a scroll that can communicate with other worlds (one that was never finished in his world, but was in Kakashi’s). While Tobirama never finished it, he speculates that in another world- he did finish it and if the scroll were ever finished in Hokagebito’s world, communication w/ that other world would be possible. He asks Kushina for advice without mentioning the scroll directly and raises her eyebrow, but ultimately just tells him bc she trusts Obito. Oh boy… so he gets the scroll working. Well done genius. “But what if it’s not another hokage?” There’s no harm in trying. Plus- the other person doesn’t NEED to know he’s the godaime- and worst comes to worst, he can just go RIPPPPP to that sucker lmao.

“Hey who this?” - Godaime. Nah im kidding, he writes a formal letter to the other side explaining that he completed Tobirama’s scroll, that he wants to see if it worked, that he needs… a friend. (Leaving out the fact that he’s the godaime)

Now, Kakashi gets the scroll in a very unique situation. Moreso- Tsunade gifted it to him on one of his birthdays (bc sakumo hung around w the sannin a lot) and was like “ur kid a little genius right, maybe he can figure out what this is for” bc Tobirama in Kakashi’s world never specified what it was for (or if he did, the note fell off). He’s never cared about it beyond “oh this was made by the second hokage!” (if u follow into the Tobirama is Kakashi’s grandpa theory, it’s a nice nod to his grandpa, I actually really like this head canon but I think I’ll leave it out of here). But it’s blank. Did Tsunade just-… gift him a blank scroll because the second hokage once touched it? For the next 30-40 years of his life, thats what Kakashi thinks and admittedly it’s really funny (and sweet in a way), so he keeps it on a shelf and looks at it whenever he needs to remember the simpler days.

And then, one day, the blank scroll has some writing on it.

Oh. It was- for talking with someone from another world? Okay… Kakashi’s seen weirder, still weird, but weird in a way he can somewhat comprehend. So he writes something on the other half of the scroll, and pretends that it doesn’t resemble Obito’s horrid writing (because what the hell?).

On the flip side, Obito is ecstatic, because it worked! Whoever wrote to him, must also be a hokage right? So he asks, “how did you get this scroll?”

“A friend gifted it to me”

“… you’re friends with the NIDAIME?” He has to be someone important then right?

“Not exactly.” Okay then, if he has the scroll, he has to be the current hokage. Because how could Tobirama let this scroll fall into just anyone’s hands?

“Who’s the hokage in your world?”

“Who’s the hokage in yours?” Wow, okay… and then “How many have there been in yours?”

“Five”

“Seven”

And so on. It’s like an online friendship in a way, except they’re chatting with someone worlds away. Eventually, Obito begins asking for advice (advice that’s thinly veiled as work advice (really it’s hokage work but he tries to mask it as something else)). Not because he knows the other was the Rokudaime, but because the other has become a bit of a… friend. Kakashi however, sees through this and when something only a hokage understand slips, confronts Hokage Obito “You’re the Godaime”

“Ah. Was it… obvious?”

“For the Rokudaime, yes.”

Oh. Obito becomes even more excited, and they begin signing off on their letters with Godaime and Rokudaime. Obito assumes that this Rokudaime is younger than him and apologies for asking so much advice (because if he’s the Rokudaime, the Obito in that world must have retired now). It’s just- this Rokudaime is so wise, knowledgeable, a bit of a know it all… reminds him of Kakashi. (Kakashi who he misses with all his heart, who should have been there to watch him become Hokage, who should have been there to help him with the damn papers.)

(Kakashi, whose death weighs on him heavier than any boulder).

Either way, he lets his age slip one day. On the other side, Kakashi just laughs “No, you’re younger. The kids over here have started calling me old man. How rude.” It goes on like that for a little longer. A few months into it, Minato, Rin, and Kushina find out what he’s been doing. They tease him of course, but they also worry. Obito says there’s nothing to be worried about, but still it’s some stranger right? On occasion, Rin watches as Obito writes to the stranger and wonders who could be on the other side. Kushina is worried but also upset that Obito never told her about his success! This is huge! How could he not tell her!? Minato is proud, worried, and calming down Kushina who goes on a tangent. One day, they decide to all see one of Obito and mysterious Rokudaime’s chats themselves. In some freak accident, there’s a bright glow. And then Obito’s gone, with only the scroll. Kushina obv begins to reverse engineer that crap to bring back Obito-

On the other side, Obito finally meets his inter dimensional pen pal.

What the fuck.

“YOU’RE THE ROKUDAIME?” “Obito?” That shuts him up really quickly, because Obito hasn’t heard Kakashi’s voice in such a long time. Aside from that, he’s never heard it in such a tone. “How?” Obito asks, “Was this a bet between us? Congratulations- I feel bad for this version of me though-” Kakashi makes some sad sound at that, his brows kind of furrow in a way that make’s Obito’s stomach twist. Obito can’t help but run up to this Kakashi and hug him. It’s not… too weird right? Technically they’re friends. And technically they did know each other! So, they sit on the blanket of grass, a bright clear blue sky day that Kakashi has decided to enjoy under a tree and one of jiraiya’s pervy novels??? They talk for a minute, two, three, then for about an hour until Obito can feel himself being pulled back. Before he is, he apologizes. For everything, for burdening Kakashi, for making him save Rin, for letting Kakashi fall apart, and for… Kakashi’s death.

Kakashi is in shock, but he assures Obito that… if it was him, truly him, then he had no problems with it.

When Obito returns to his world, he returns a little bit more confident, but also… he returns with tears in his eyes. Happy. Sad. Hopeful.

“I saw him. The Rokudaime. I saw Kakashi.”

Now… I could end this here. And, if you like leaving it at that, then it ends with the scroll being destroyed as a result of Kushina’s interference to bring Obito back. HOWEVER- if u like ghostbito / actual, solid not up to interpretation obkk have I got a pitch for u

GHOSTBITO IDEA

The scroll isn’t destroyed, rather, it gains a new attribute. Being able to travel between worlds, and when Obito is yanked back… so is Kakashi. Whoopsies! Cue, really really emotional scene, omg Kakashi grew up! OMG KAKASHI BECAME HOKAGE- and also cue, Obito showing Kakashi around his Konoha (which is sort of the same, but with many differences. For one, the Uchiha are still around. For two, Minato, Kushina, and Rin are alive. For three, Obito was Team 7’s sensei). Yeah it’s sort of a date, but Obito won’t admit that and Kakashi is oblivious bc free vacation (out of Obito’s salary).

When it’s time for Kakashi to go back, they decide. Maybe, they’ll keep seeing each other, keep being friends. Now they’re not, exactly each other’s Kakashi and Obito, but they can be new friends instead. A new introduction is needed, so they reintroduce themselves. Okay now, Ghostbito is def still looking out for Kakashi. Yeah he’s enjoying the afterlife w/ Rin, ofc, but sometimes… he can’t help but take a peak into Kakashi’s life. Now, seeing that Kakashi had a pen pal was exciting, fun even. Until he sees who the pen pal was, and until he (who’s attached to Kakashi) is also dragged into the dimension travel. Because NO! Kakashi is his teammate! That Obito is not him! It’s childish and Obito has 100% stopped being like that ages ago, but also he can’t help it. That Obito didn’t give Kakashi his eye, he did.

And he sees it, the things Kakashi misses, the way this Obito blushes around Kakashi like how he did around Rin all those years ago. The way this Obito offers his hand in jest (but not really) to drag Kakashi to all of his favorite spots. The way Kakashi looks happy-, oh. Kakashi looks happy. Who is he to ruin that for Kakashi? No, he won’t. Not again. And it’s not like he has beef with Kakashi… no, he has beef with… himself??? Well, he has beef with this Obito!!!

Cue, Godaime Obito getting haunted as ghostbito starts beefing w/ himself from another world. Both of whom, have feelings for Kakashi albeit only one of them can actually pursue him. I think Ghostbito wants Kakashi to move on, but like… NOT LIKE THIS 😭😭😭 in his opinion it’s like a downgrade like why couldn’t Kakashi just be w literally anyone else? Gai, Iruka, Anko, Yamato, Mei, Shizune- literally anyone else!!!

Feel free to add on, I just had a crack idea and began to roll with it. This also led me to another idea, but instead of Ghostbito and Godaimebito beefing it’s Jonin/about to be Godaime Obito and Post-war Obito beefing (w similar plot points being the dimension travel). I just think Obito having beef w every alternate self he encounters is really funny, that man doesn’t play, especially if it’s about his teammates like 😭😭😭 also the idea of Joninbito AU! Obito and Kakashi meeting Postwar AU Obito and Kakashi is funny, I’ll write it later methinks

its also a long one so ill put the lore underneath the cut (my writing isnt the greatest right now bcuz im tired and ive been writing for almost 12 hours straight lmao i can no longer create proper sentences)

Everything is pretty much the same (wow how original, right) but on the ARK, when Black Doom gave Gerald his DNA, Gerald accidentally created a 4th dimensional entity. No one knows how or what to do about it. Gerald just did his stuff with Black Doom's DNA, turned around, and there was Shadow (named by Maria for his lack of a shadow). Shadow was able to successfully cure Maria, and when Gerald's reports indicated so, GUN became suspicious of the almost miraculous turnaround and started investigating.

Once they found out about Project Shadow and what Gerald had somehow done, they regarded Shadow as a top priority threat and began developing experimental technology to counter Gerald's "weapon" in secret.

It took a few years of observation to make sure Maria really was cured, and during that time, she and Shadow became extremely close. Most of the scientists on the ARK either feared him or were cautious around him, though, not quite sure if he could be fully trusted due to all the uncertainty around how he worked.

Eventually, GUN decided to launch a raid on the ARK. Everyone onboard was given sufficient warning that the shuttle was approaching thanks to Shadow, but no one knew why. Once onboard, they immediately began interrogating the scientists and searching for Project Shadow. A soldier shot at Maria in an attempt to get them to cooperate, but Shadow revealed himself and stopped the bullet from hitting her. (im tired pretend theres a conflict escalation here) One thing led to another, and Shadow ended up getting a gold ring forced into his wrist - the experimental technology GUN had been developing the whole time.

It was a set of four golden rings meant to confine Shadow to the 3rd dimension, and while one didn't do it immediately, it slowed him down enough for the soldiers to get the others on him, trapping him in a 3d form and shooting Maria anyway to punish him for acting out.

yap yap yap the rest of the scientists are massacred and Gerald is arrested as per canon event. Shadow is also taken into GUN custody and tortured in a variety of ways, under the guise of scientific research (green line down torso on ref is a scar from vivisection), all while being in indescribable pain from being confined to the 3rd dimension. For 50 years, this is an on and off thing, and he is kept top secret, only known about by some of the highest clearance agents.

Eggman, looking through GUN's databases for anything that could be of use to him, finds one of Gerald's old reports that slipped through the cracks, and begins the search for Project Shadow. The events of SA2 happen, and after Heroes, Shadow is able to break free from the confinement of the Inhibitors, finally freeing himself from the 3rd dimension.

Derek knew dating you would have its risks, but he didn’t really care. How could he because whenever he looked in your eyes he felt at home and that his world is perfect and

full of love. He met you one night at a family night hosted by David Rossi. Dave decided it was time to introduce his team to his kid, one he had kept hidden from most of the team, knowing it was safer to keep his family hidden away from the spotlight.

Morgan was given a stern warning from Rossi just minutes before you were introduced, of course Morgan promised to stay away from you, knowing the reputation he has. But the moment his eyes set on you, he regrets making that promise because he has never seen someone as gorgeous as you. The way your smile just brightens up the whole room, the way your laugh is the most addicting sound he has ever heard, he wishes he could hear it every single day. That night is filled with the team getting to know you, you don’t know how but you find yourself being drawn towards Derek Morgan. Your dad had warned you to stay away from that man, according to him he's a good man but Derek Morgan can be a bit of a player. You can’t help but laugh at your dad’s warning, you're not after a relationship, especially someone on your dads team, plus you're a little bit of a player yourself.

That night is full of talking and getting to know your Dads team, so you know who has back when he's in the field. Somehow that night ends with you being invited to a Doctor Who marathon with Penelope and Reid the following week and the next day you're going to go and help Derek Morgan pick out some window frames for his house he’s renovating.

You met Derek nine months ago, and you two started dating six months ago. You both decided to keep it to yourselves for now, none of you wanting to tell your Dad about it. You both hang out and go on dates on the low, having to make sure you're not ringing him when he’s near your Dad at all. You enjoy being secretive with him, enjoying the private moments with him. It becomes hard at the dinners your Dad hosts, doing your best to keep your distance from him, not being allowed to hold his hand or lean into his side, it sucks. Especially tonight, tonight is your six month anniversary and somehow your Dad decided to do another pasta night and it would look suspicious if you both ditched tonight. So here you are, standing in the middle of the living room, talking and laughing with Aaron and Penelope. Glancing outside to where your other half is, he’s sitting down on the outside table with Jack and Henry, helping them with some sort of project, and your heart can’t help but melt at how good he is with kids as you finish your glass of wine.

“Ciao ragazzino, can you get some more wine from the cellar for me” Dave calls out, walking out of the kitchen, his eyes landing on you. Looking over at your dad you send him a quick smile, wiping your mind off your boyfriend.

“Sure thing Dad” Smiling you quickly make your way downstairs to the wine cellar. You take your time grabbing the bottles, enjoying the quiet.

“Need some help?” His loud voice makes you jump.

“Jesus hell Derek” Huffing feeling annoyed as you turn around to look at him. Spotting him leaning against the doorway, his arms crossed with the biggest cocky smile on his face.

“You need to be less jumpy cupcake” Derek chuckles as he walks over to you, his eyes sliding over your body before landing on types pretty eyes of yours. 

“Hard to do when you sneak up on me” You grumble softly as you let him pull you into his arms, resting your head in his chest.

“I missed you” He whispers softly as he kisses your forehead, resting his head onto yours. “I haven’t seen you all week and I wasn’t even able to hug when I finally saw you today”

“I know baby, but you know why I can’t tell my dad yet” Biting back a sigh as you could just imagine your Dads lecture if he found out. 

“I get it pumpkin, but I still don’t like it” He slowly pulls away, his arms resting around your waist.

“Maybe next week we can tell, maybe it's time” You smile lightly as you look up at him, meeting his kind and loving eyes.

“Good, because then I can hug you whenever I want” he chuckles before kissing you smoothly.

“What a flirt Derek” You can’t help but laugh when pulling away. 

“Come on, you better get back before they wonder what you're up to” Derek chuckles, passing you the bottles of wine before following you out.

You make your way back to the living room, via the kitchen leaving a bottle of wine for Dave, bringing the rest back with you, topping up your own glass. When you enter the living room you're glad to see Derek is already there and talking away with Reid and Garcia. You stand by yourself for a while, you can’t help but stare at Derek, the way he is with his friends always warms your heart, the way he is just always himself makes your heart flutter. 

“I thought you may have gotten lost down there” Aaron smirks to himself as he comes to stand beside you unnoticed, your eyes too occupied with something else across the room.

“Oh I just couldn’t find the right wine he wanted” You lie quickly, without a glance at Aaron, knowing if you did he would easily read straight through you. Your uncle has alway been the best at reading your lies especially when it comes to your love life.

“Huh, I thought your Dad kept them in alphabetical order” Aaron smirks more when you finally look at him, your face heating up under his stare.

“He does, but I don’t like reading wine bottles”

“Oh right, well I think Dave wanted to come and check on you. Luckily I managed to distract him, isn't it?” Aaron's grin widens just slightly as your eyes narrow.

“Are you implying something here, Aaron” You have to hold back a smile as you stare him down.

‘Only that it's been over six months now that you have complained about anyone while babysitting Jack for me” He looks so cocky when you don’t respond right away.

“Well, cockneys doesn’t suit you Uncle Aaron” Groaning softly as you sip on your wine. 

“Oh come on, you can’t hide from me” Aaron laughs softly, his eyes lingering on you. He can’t help but appreciate the look in your eyes as they turn back to Morgan, the same look Morgan had on his face every single time he’s texting away on his phone.

“You two should just tell Dave already, If i have figured it out, it won’t take him long” 

“Yeah but he told us to stay away from each other when we first meet” You grumble before looking up at Aaron for advice.

“Yes, but this was before you two look at each other like no one else exists, just tell him, he’ll understand” Aaron smiles, but smirking over at Derek then back at you. “But maybe warn Mogan, that if he hurts you it's not just Dave he needs to worry about” Aaron sips on his wine before glances down at you, where you're rolling your eyes.

“Yeah yeah Aaron” Rolling your eyes before smiling. “He could take you both anyway”

As the night goes on, it's filled with laughter and drinks, once dinner has finished everyone is seated on the couch. You're not sure how much alcohol you have consumed tonight, you stopped counting after glass number four and Garcia brought out tequila. Aaron and JJ have left already, claiming they have to get back to their kids, leaving Dave on ‘Dad’ duty. The team starts playing truth or dare, excluding Dave who has headed off to bed already, making sure that everyone knows where to sleep for the night.

A takes a few rounds and some shots for the game to get interesting, Spencer was staying sober and laughing at his overly loud drunk friends. 

“Okay okay, (Y/n) your turn” Penelope exclaims, putting her glass down, grinning at you “Truth or dare” 

“Hit me hard Pens, dare” Laughing as you lean into the couch, all four of you are sitting on the floor, while Spencer watches from the couch.

“Ohh okay Ems, help me think” Penelope whines leaning into the women, who smirks evilly at you.

‘Oh no no, you love evil” Smirking back at her, never one to back down from a challenge.

“I dare you to kiss the hottest person in the room” Emily sniggers as you glare at her.

“If you just want me to kiss you Emily all you gotta do is ask” Your laugh turns into a groan, as her smirk widens.

“Oh we all know it's not me you were staring at all night” Emily teases back while Penelope giggles while throwing some ‘Ohhhhhs’ at you. You glance over at Derek who is smirking widely at you before wiggling his eyebrows making you laugh. Pulling yourself up on to your knees, you crawl carefully over towards him.

“Well hi” His smirk is adorable as he cups your face.

“You're annoyingly cute” Giggling softly as you press your lips against him firmly, almost losing yourself as he starts kissing back, his arm wrapping around you pulling you into his lap. Cheers erupt around the room, forcing you two to finally pull away, snuggling down in between his legs as you all look around the room laughing with them.

“So this is who you're dating then” Penelope grins at him.

“Wait you two are dating, like officially” Emily mouth falls open as she gawks at them.

“How the hell did you figure that out Babygirl?” Derek groans softly, wrapping his arms around you, resting his head on your shoulder. 

“Oh come on” Garcia scoffs before smirking. “It wasn’t hard, you’ve been smiling at that phone of yours to much lately and also you haven’t spoken about anyone else but (Y/n) since you meet them”

“Aww you like me” Laughing sweetly as you lean into him.

“No I love you, dummy” He rolls his eyes as he laughs pressing a kiss against your neck.

“Aww you love me”

“Okay that's cute, but sickening” Emily fakes gags before smiling.

“So does Dave know?” Reid asks.

“No, no one knows about us,” Morgan answered.

“Well, not no one, Aaron figured it out tonight” Groaning softly, as you tell Derek.

“Oh great, my boss knows” Morgan huffs out a laugh as he leans backwards.

“He also threatens you with bodily harm if you hurt me” A soft chuckle slips through your lips as your eyes start closing, the alcohol making you sleepy.

“Oh, an overprotective uncle and Dad, goodluck Morgan '' Emily laughs as his face drops.

“Funny Prentiss” He pokes his tongue out at her, before slowly standing up pulling you with him. “We are going to bed,” Morgan informs them, his arm wrapping around your waist.

“Penelope beat you to it” Spencer smirks, as he grabs a blanket. You three all turn around to spot an asleep Penelope, cuddled into Emily's side.

“Guess I’m sleeping here tonight then” Emily laughs, taking the blanket from Spencer, snuggling down for the night.

Dave wakes up to a quiet house, walking out he spots Emily and Penelope cuddled up on the couch, a blanket spread over them and an empty bottle of tequila on the coffee table. Dave chuckles softly as he leaves them before, walking past the guest room where he figures Spencer and Morgan are before heading to your room. He opens the door slowly, hearing low voices coming through, he guesses your awake. He peaks in quietly and he wishes he never did.

“What the fuck” He exclaims, his eyes almosting falling out of his head with how wide they are. He wasn’t wrong, you are awake and currently laid on top of Morgan, pressing your lips against him. Both you and Derek’shead shoot towards the door with fear, your heart pounding away. 

“Ever heard of knocking” You gulp thickly as you stare at your Dad, rolling off of Derek quickly, thankful you both were still fully dressed. 

“Downstairs, five minutes” Dave glares at Derek before walking out, the door closing with a slam.

“Well that went well” Derek groans as he sits up, meeting your amused look.

“Hey at least we had clothes on” Laughing softly as you hug him, kissing him gently. “You ready?”

“Don’t have a choice, do I cupcake?” He smirks lightly, standing up.

You both make your way down stairs, hand in hand. Making your way to the patio where you can see your Dad is. You both take a seat opposite him, taking a deep breath.

“So how long has this been going on” Dave sighs, looking up at you both.

“Six months” Derek informs him, a small smile on his face.

“Six months” Dave huffs, holding back a smile of his own before glaring at Derek. “I told you to stay away from them”

“I know, and I tried but I can’t resist them Dave, they're different and this isn't just some fling for me I promise” Derek smiles just a little more as he speaks, his hand squeezing yours.

“Better not be”

"The sun shines bright" not much to not other than after this clover's hand hurt for like a day and flowey bullied the peck out of them,,, also this is the only time flowey calls clover an idiot on this fic

"The flower pot incident" after the end clover spends like 10 minutes explaining everything about flowey, but he explains it like a little kid would, making it confusing as hell, so ceroba gives up and just like pats him and tells them to be good or smth, it was the same with everyone else

also bad quality comic of how the pot came to be

"What kind of milk were you?" the song came in as i was finishing the chapter and it fitted so well i named the chapter after it, as i mentioned it was me like poking gently to clover's life before the underground, his thought process was mostly thinking marlet was angry at them over doing the dishes in "secret" idk how to explain it but yeah :( poor little fella, also as noted at the end, flowey observed all happening and just like kept in mind

"Sewing back the pieces" I loved imagining how clover's room looked, and i had to include it, more joking around from the best friends, id like to think clover knows how to sew but they are just a bit clumsy with the needle, also those things are slippery...

"The calm before the mall" I feel proud about the title pun(? but this is also what i kind of meant with flowey keeping things on mind, by the time of this chapter a bit of time has passed of them living with humans, and flowey knows how stuff can be and how clover is a biiit shy so thats why the warning was persistent, it didnt work but meh

"Fertilizer is a fun word" IT IS A FUN WORD i love writing it lol, but seriously, i tried exemplifying more the thing of clover not speaking a lot so flowey does most of the talking for them, they do speak a bit but its short sentences and very quietly,

"You are just a boy, you are no man" this one will be long again the song fitted and it came on while writing the middle lol, clover does not know very well about the whole story with chara, but they do know that buttercups are meaningful in some sort of way for flowey so thats why they picked them, now is fun to note that the comments about their friends being monsters did bother clover but the one comment that like spilled the cup was the age one, that one hit deep and thats why they reacted that way, also the amount of people did not bother clover that much when they arrived but like the panic and stuff made them very aware of everyone around and med everything worse so ye, lastly, another time flowey calls someone idiot, this time dalv (sorry king)

When the umbrella academy returns to their time, they realize that things have changed, and strangers are now living in their home. A fight soon starts, which causes Five Hargreaves to blink out of the chaos. In doing so, he discovers a hidden room in the library's walls. Meeting someone unexpected.

Number five and the rest of his siblings seemingly appeared in their home everything seems to be back to normal finally he thought then a voice interrupted his thoughts and gained the attention of his siblings 

Slir Reginaled Hargreaves: i knew you'd return eventually 

Everyone turned to him in shock

Luther: your alive 

Reginaled: why shouldn’t i be 

Questioning the absurd statement 

Luther: your right i-im just happy that were all home and together again 

Everyone looked at Reginald suspicious this didn’t feel right to any of them something was off and it was just because their so called dad was alive now but something was definitely wrong 

Reginaled: home this isn't you home 

Everyone looked at him as if he’d gone mad of course this was their home five thought 

Alison: what are you talking about this is the umbrella academy  

Looking at her dad confused 

Reginaled: wrong again 

Everyone was staring at him how could they be wrong this was clearly their home. He then spoke again 

Reginaled: this is the sparrow academy 

Soon after his statement 7 figures appeared standing above them on the balcony of the living room.

Everyone turned around to face them diego retrieving his knifes ready to fight everyone seemingly getting ready to do the same thing. 

Then a voice from the balcony spoke 

Man: Dad who are these assholes?

Taking a better look at the man everyone soon realised who it was and were in shocked how could this be possible 

The umbrella academy: shit!!!

Klaus: ben 

Ben looked at the umbrella academy confused, everyone from the umbrella academy looking at him in shock and luther and klaus walking a bit closer to get a better look at him 

Luther: is that really you  

Diego then decided to yell

Diego and who are those weirdos on the balcony 

Reginaled: those are my children the sparrow academy

Thing started to get heated in the sparrow academy quickly people yelling and screaming at each other but Five seems focused on trying to get the brief case 

Soon after a fight broke loose started from just a punch from ben. Which then water falled into both academies fighting one another. As this fight was going on someone was watching  them in a secret room behind a bookshelf within the library. Who was this person, well she was the academy's biggest secret.

The eighth member of the family Y/N Hargreaves 

as she stares at the umbrella academy using her powers she smiles

Y/N: welcome Umbrellas 

As she watches the two academies fight she notices one of them disappear with a blink of light. She was intrigued she knew he had a teleporting ability.

As she stared at the projection she has created watching the fight she wasn’t able to see what the other member of the umbrella academy was up to since she needs to follow them to allow the projection to split off to a separate person but since he had seemingly just poofed and gone she couldn't watch him anymore 

She was a bit sad about that she thought he was cute 

But then a thud in her room startled her causing her to lose focus and in toe the projection disappearing 

Y/N: damn it 

She turned from where she was looking to see what that sound was. It was only her supposed to be in this room, no one ever was in here or even visited her beside sloane.

The she saw him which cause her to stand up in joy 

Y/N: oh my goodness it's you 

This caused the boy to looked confused why was there a girl in this secret room by herself and about his age too

Boy: who are you 

This caused Y/N to pout 

Y/N: thats a bit rude to ask since your in my room 

He looked shocked 

Boy: your room?  more like it with the grade A holding cell with the locks they used on that door and the walls being so thick that only Luther could break them if he tried. 

y/n looked at him unfazed by his statement she knew why the room need to be like this it was for her safety but also the families too

Y/N: yeah it always been like this, haven't really left since forever 

He looked at her in shocked 

Boy:Are you serious 

Y/N: yeah…i mean of course when i was younger i shared a room with sloane but then one day i got moved 

This caused the boy to really look at her and ask again why a girl around his age seemingly locked up in a heavily fortified room seems like child abuse.

Boy: your not 13 are you 

She smiled seeing how fast he figured it out 

Y/N: technically my body stopped again at 6 but eventually i started to age normally again at mental age 23

This cause the boy to chuckle 

Boy: how is this even possible

y/n made a thinking face thinking if she should tell this strange boy about her self but her intuition was telling her she could trust him.

Y/N: weeeeell…its because of my powers i stopped aging 

The boy gave her a questioning looks how is that possible 

Boy: What are you powers exactly

Y/N: They are related to time in a sort of way such as this

y/n waved her hand creating a projection to the living room showing the two academies fighting 

Y/N: i can create live projections of places ive been to and see whats happening currently 

Boy: so pretty much a glorified security system 

That statement caused y/n to get angry, this caused her eyes to glow white and thing in the room started to shake 

Y/N: DON'T CALL ME THAT 

Her outburst caused a wave of energy to realise it self from with in her breaking nearly everything in her room and even causing the boy to be blown back against a wall. After realising what she had done she started to panic

Y/N: og my goodness i am so so sorry i didnt mean to do that 

She then ran to the boy to check up on him kneeling infront of him helping him up then grabbing him from his face to his arms and cheking his legs if he’d been hurt 

Boy: Im fine dont worry about me but what was that 

y/n stepped away from the boy to give him some room but also out of embarrassment she literally just met him and shes already fawning over him 

Y/N: That was one of my energy burst when i get really upset or have a lot of repressed energy or even emotions if i don't let them out in a calm way or slowly or even somehow calm myself down that can happen.The room is pretty much to protect the family and myself 

The boy had a look around the room and nearly everything but the room itself was damaged 

Boy: you did a number on your room sorry 

Y/N: don’t be sorry i shouldn’t have yelled knowing my powers i should be more careful and don’t worry about my room i can fix that 

The boy look at her puzzled 

Boy: How?

y/n gave him a mischievous smile 

Y/N: like this..

Putting her hand out and open a white light emitted from it she then processed to move her hand from her right side to her left this then causing everything to go in reverse things that were shattered or broken started piecing them sleeves together until they were fully repared 

Y/N: Ta Da… that another one of my time related powers i can reverse time on items, places and even people. Places are a bit harder though the larger the area the harder but if it's a small area such as a room pretty easy even and item as well

 This new information intrigued the boy and was now curious about the part where you said you could do it on people too

Boy: you also said people how does that work

y/n tried to think of a way of explaining properly then just did her best 

Y/N: lemme give you an example 

She then proceed to grabs the boys hand and scratched with a small pocket knife she had grabbed near by

Boy: what the fuck

He then pulled his hand back 

Y/N: shut up and give me back your hand of you want that cut gone 

He proceeded to give it back and let her work. She then repeated what she did to reverse the room back to normal he was amazed watching his cut close

Boy: wow 

Y/N: i can pretty much reverse your body to how it was before the injury 

The boy was amazed people who didn’t know her powers would assume she was just healing but this was completely different she could reverse someone's body to how it looked or how it was to its original state before an injury. This got him thinking about her situation why was she still young

Boy: does this have any involvement of why your still 12

y/n was a silent for a moment most likely still traumatised from it 

Y/N: Yes…

The boy looked worried but he needed to know 

Boy: what happen?

Even though she was hesitant to tell him anything her intuition told her she could trust him

Y/N: It happened when I was 17 dad wasn’t satisfied with me just doing recon, cleaning up after giant fights or even “healing” the team he thought I could do better. So what best way to practise then on yourself he wanted me to practise ageing. 

This caused the boy to become more intrigued 

If I aged myself young or even old no one would suspect a sweet little girl or even an old lady nearby. It took awhile but I got there being able to age myself up or down. Once I had mastered both he became satisfied with how fast i was changing and wanted me to do it faster. 

Along the way I somehow got stuck at 6 while rapidly ageing and no matter how hard I try i was stuck. somehow dad broke me 

I assume it's due to how fast I was changing my cells, the rapid changing stretching them back and forth so much that they couldn’t handle it anymore. I honestly thought i was stuck but over the years dads research what happened and he found out that my cells were slowly repairing themselves took about 6 years for me to start ageing at a normal rate before that i was ageing at a snail's pace

Even thought she was trying to hide it he could see through the sarcasm and the jokes that she was in pain and that there was more t the story ‘

Y/N: The day that i stopped ageing was also the day i started having those energy burst due to the amount of frustration and rage building up not being able to age myself back…

y/n look at her hands nervous to continue but she knew she had to 

Y/N: it was in the training room my sibling could here me just screaming and yelling in frustration so they call came in 

Y/N Flash back 

Dad: Come on number 8 try harder 

Y/N: im trying dad 

She was starting to get even more frustrated and angry having tears in her eye 

Dad: stop crying, you are one of my children and my children are not weak NOW CHANGE BACK

Y/N: I CAN’T 

Just as she said that her sibling had entered the room want to see what was happening causing them to be now in the blast zone 

Everything in that room and even the rooms near by were shattered broken it was a surpise that the room was standing. Everyone that was caught in the blast was blown away and injured 

Seeing what had happen y/n started to panic, she started look for her sibling through the rubbled luckily they were all okay with minor or mild injurys only ben getting the worst of it having shard of wood imbedded in him y/n decided to work fast before it was too late

Y/N: oh my god ben i am so sorry 

She knelt down to his level examining him for nay further injurys, but it was only the shard 

Y/N: Im going to pull it out okay if i done you body will reverse with the shard still there so it needs to be gone okay 

Ben look pissed but he knew she was the only one to save him right now so he let her work.

In her six year old body she pulled the shard as hard has she ensuring it all came out and then checking for any remaining shards after knowing for sure there was nothing she started to reverse his body as soon as the wound closed she signed with relief then hugged him.

But he pushed him off her in rage 

Ben: WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING 

Y/N: what do you mean 

Ben: YOU COULD HAVE KILLED US WITH THIS LITTLE FUCKING STUNT 

Y/N: B-but i didn’t mean for any of this to happen i didnt even though i could do this 

Ben: I DON'T WANT EXCUSES YOU COULD HAVE KILLED US

y/n looked around the room her sibling now staring at ben yelling at her marcus came by to try calm ben down but he wouldn’t making marcus to just pull ben away from the situation. Sloane then cam by to comfort her 

Sloane: hey you know i don’t think this i your fault this was obviously an accident 

Due to her age being much younger now sloane couldn’t help but baby her a little bit even though she knew they were still the same age mentally 

Y/N: i know

She said in a sniffled voice. Sloane then decided to hug her in comfort 

But ever since that day everyone except sloane had avoided her most likely worried she would caused another outburst over the smallest thing. Which did happen eventually  Even thought you were mentally 17 your body and brain was of a 6 year old so there were time over the years where outburst had happened and that was when dad decided to build that room for you 

END FLASH BACK

Y/N: and thats how i got moved her. Once i started again properly it got easier to contain my outburst or prevent them by calming my self out or even realisimg the energy at a slowly and safely but sometimes it can still happen so i live for their safety 

That got the boy thinking bu you also said for you safety. By the way the room looked it was supposed to hold something either dangerous or of value 

Boy: you said before this was to pretect your family i understand why now but what is this room protecting you from 

This caused you the ause for awhile even though your intuitions said you could trust him you were still hesitant you knew nothing of him 

Y/N: I dont know anything about you so why should i tell you why im in here

The boy paused he didnt know if he could trust her but the possible information she help could really help or even slightly assist him 

Boy: fair enough what do you wanna know 

She smiled 

Y/N: everything 

He scoffed 

Boy: I dont have time for this 

y/n then grabbed his hand 

Y/N: but i do 

Light again emitted from her hands but this time her eyes glowed aswell but not as if she was about to cause an outburst but as if she was seeing things the boy just stared at her waiting for her to go back to her normal state and eventually she did 

Boy: what did you do 

Y/N: well if you have to know

She said in a sarcastic tone 

Y/N: had a look at your past 

Boy: what no. thats not possible 

Y/N: with me it is. I saw every single bit of your past even from when you were a baby five 

He looked at her shocked, she could definitely see his past 

Five: well shit i guess you can 

Y/N: and seems like you guys are going through it 

Five gave out a loud sign making his way to your couch and sat down y/n following and sitting down next to him 

Five: yup me are. But now that you know everything about me i need to know the other reason your in her 

After seeing his past y/n knew her intuition was right. But its never been wrong but seeing his past was just extra proof and an excuse to get to know him better. And without hesitation she told him 

Y/N: cause i can also see the future 

This cause fice to jump out of his seat and stare at where she was sitting 

Five: That impossible 

y/n then made a slight hissing noise as if to say okay maybe not the right way to say it 

Y/N: okay i can't see the future fully but i get bits and pieces from time to time and i got really good intuition about things that could happen. So its not fully seeing into the future more like saaaaay a sixth sense i just know feel if something is gonna happens nd sometimes i get picture or views of what it to happen and my job is just to piece together 

Five then looked at her with a squinted look 

Five: So that's why the old man keep you in here cause you can see the future i mean i get it you in the wrong hand is pretty bad but that can be just ot yes powerful but theres something else 

y/n then started to giggle in joying seeing that he can tell she was holding something back

Y/N: okay then you caught me but i dont wanna tell you so how bout i show you. Do you mind taking us to the fight 

Five looked concerned was she gonna help her family fight his or something else but he somehow trusted her 

Five: fine

He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and blinked them into the room seeing that both their familys were still fight and both familys noticing two children entered the room 

Umbrellas: FIVE

Sparrows:Y/N

They all said at the same time but still didn’t stop fight 

Y/N: now lemme show you 

She then lifted her hand as if to point at something and pointed at a random spot in front of her 

Ben noticed what she was about to do but was too slow to stop her

Ben: Y/N N-

Y/N: Boop 

Ben was too far to even try and stop her but good effort she thought 

She then turned to face five who looked dumbfounded 

Y/N: I can also stop stop time but only for about 1 min and about anything in a 50m radius of me so they were like this for 1 min unless i unpause the whole area or specific people 

She then started to make her way to the umbrellas touching their shoulders to unpause them they all look shocked at her why was she helping the 

She then walked by to five 

Y/N: think of this as a thank you for getting me out of that room can’t really leave unless dad lets me out and I dont like using people as hostages when they come visit so you getting me out was my ticket out so thank you

They all looked at y/n surprised turns out five was right she was basically a prisoner 

Y/N: now you have about 30 sec before they unpause of their own so you all better get going

Five decided to listen to her and take his family and leave now left alone wither her family she turns around to face them knowing she only has a few secs to speak her mind uninterrupted 

Y/N: i'm not going back into that room you make me and ill purposly cause the biggest outburst youve seen and not help any of you understand so dont even try it 

They all unpause ben tried to go at her but marcus stopped him no wonder he was number 1 and ben wasn’t. Ben shrugged marcuses hand off and walked off everyone did the same no one wanting to interact with you but marcus and sloane stayed 

Marcus: Welcome back 

He then walked away. He was always the diplomat so he was neutral to everything that happen in the house so makes sense for him to welcome you back 

After that sloane cam running to you 

Sloane: Ohhh my goodness i'm so glad you finally out of that box ive missed you so much 

Even though Sloane didn't visit as much as she used to, y/n knew it was probably the cause of Dad or the others

Y/N: I'm glad i can be with you again sis

What exactly is your version on dib like? I mean, we all know that he’s a creep and a weirdo, but what’s his story? (Also I absolutely love your work, you’re super talented)

SO glad you asked.

In all seriousness, I don't have any set story for him. He's just dib, but in his early 20s. The main difference between him and young dib (besides appearance obviously) is that he's had some emotional development. Keyword: some. People like to use the word maladjusted when talking about dib, and that does apply to my interpretation. He doesnt get out much, and he has some unhealthy behaviors (ahem obsession ahem) But he HAS emotionally matured since being a kid. He's a bit nicer, and he's gotten used to some of the mistreatment/bitterness, and shrugs it off with a smile.

As for a "story," I just like to imagine him in circumstances with the other characters, and ill focus on whatever I find funny or interesting. It's all for fun, I like to Doodle random plots in my head, but I'm not going to do or make anything with them. But here's where my thoughts tend to land most of the time:

He HAS moved out of his dad's place. I initially had him still at home, (because I still live at home, and I tend to project onto characters), but after giving it some thought, I realized that dib with his own place was maybe more believable. I don't think he'd want to be in his dad's shadow. This way he can do his parascience in peace and spread out. SO he lives in a downtown apartment. Gaz is his upstairs neighbor! (this way they still live together, but also not really. They kind of have roomate vibes. They see each other a lot) it is a very small apartment, the kind with a kitchen area, a bathroom, and one room for your living space/bed.

(Random idea I'm toying with that kind of doesn't make sense but also?? Whatever: SOMEHOW- dib built a secret basement under the apartment complex, and you access it by entering a code into the elevator buttons. It's his lab. DONT FUCKING ASK how he managed to DIG A BASEMENT - because I don't fucking know. But with how stupid people are in iz, I'm sure he figured out a way to be discreet or fool people??? Thats where hes got taks ship. He painted it blue)

Uhhhh what else...

I like to imagine 2 potential scenarios, and in both, zim had gone missing for a decade. In one, he comes back. In the other, dib sets out to find him. There is another part to that I'm gonna leave out, because I want to draw something and show you that way. Hopefully I'll draw that soon.

Ok, enough rambling now. If I have more thoughts to add on, maybe I'll reblog and add them.

Gideon the Ninth Reaction - Chapter 27

‘pure humbuggery’ sound the alarm bells, palamedes is using british-isms, in this book thats a sure sign someone’s gonna die

ooohh it literally only just occurred to me as Harrow was talking about ‘lyctoral power’ that its very likely all of the facility stuff, the key challenges themselves etc. were probaly all set up by previous Lyctors 🤦

i mean given the one clue they were given was about locked doors, Harrow’s whole ‘secret door’ theory actually makes a lot of sense

i won’t lie, i still don’t really understand all of the thanergy stuff, so the beginning of this chapter was a little hard to parse. i don't think its because of bad writing or anything, i'm just not really into magic systems or understanding how they work honestly

i mean the five deadlocks on the door make some sense, but given Jeannemary got killed in a sealed room unfortunately i doubt they’re gonna do the Sixth much good now

ok someone, possibly the same someone involved with the constructs is actively trying to stop them from accessing another door. the question is whether it’s another member of the Houses wanting to prevent competition, or something that only just occurred to me is that some outside/other force is trying to stop all of them. which given the fact that the big amalgamate monster things were made by someone apparently very necromantically powerful … are the lyctors somehow involved in all of the deaths? maybe they don’t want to give up their positions, we only have the emperor’s word for it that they do after all

listen i don't think this is actually the case, its against the singular rule and there's probably some kind of magic stopping it, but it would be funny if someone just like, picked the lock on any of these doors. just speed-run the entire thing without any necromancy

wow Palamedes isn’t wrong the both of them are getting wayyy too comfortable using the whole energy transfer thing 

i’m not so sure coronabeth is the one to really watch out for - she seems more confident/outgoing than ianthe, but ianthe is clearly comfortable keeping things from her 

aaaand things are really kicking off between Harrow and Gideon. there’s unresolved issues for days here, it was only really a matter of time before their tentative alliance started disintegrating honestly

there’s a Lot to unpack here about their fight… on one hand, Harrow is clearly a lot more jealous than she wants to admit and making a real dick move to keep Gideon away from Dulcinea, no matter how far they’ve come Harrow still seems to be in that mindset of being in control of/feeling superior to Gideon as she was back on the Ninth. 

but on the other hand, Gideon is very clearly projecting her own feelings of guilt about Jeannemary and everything else onto Harrow. plus Dulcinea has proven herself to be more clever and shady than she initally appears already, i don’t think Harrow’s wrong to still be wary of her. there’s just, y'know, an infinite number of ways she could have handled it better

ohhhh and now they’re back at where they were at the start … Gideon saying she hates Harrow, Harrow saying she doesn’t think about Gideon. except now after everything they’ve been through, and how much they clearly do care, it hurts so much worse. Tamsyn Muir you’re driving me crazy

He came up with many stories for what happened .Joey tried to cover up that sammy went crazy and killed a bunch of coworkers . Including Norman who Sammy put into a coffin after killing him (after torturing him a while) , leaving the projector on his head. He put Grant in a coffin next to Norman and a few others were put in coffins too by Sammy. Including Henry. Henry does not know this. Also, Norman was experimented on by Sammy while Sammy was crazy before dying eventually and getting put in the coffin. Most likely contributes to his anger. Grant and others were through the tortures Sammy did too. he HATES Sammy. Remembers everything he did to him.

🕳as the ink monster (the projectionist) he is more animalistic, not much of himself is left there,he only can make projection voices and screeches. And must consume inky hearts to survive. He's like a creature now. A monster.

You were a semi-big youtuber and twitch streamer; you mostly got popular from you and your friends playing dumb games and making eachother laugh, and it seemed to make other people laugh too because now you're making money from it. You weren't doing anything really, just scrolling through your social media to see what was going on in the world, then you saw that you had a new friend request on discord. 

Isaacwhy: Hi im isaac. I don't know if you know who i am but me and my friends do youtube and i have an upcoming project that includes me putting my friend Tanner also known as BigT through my version of the bachelor. The reason I am messaging you is because my friend Tanner has a big crush on you and we want to surprise him with you for the last round. If you don't want to participate with my idea that is totally okay, please message me back if you have any questions.

You sat there and thought about it for a second; It sounded like so much fun and you could make someone happy and also gain some new views yourself from it. You messaged Isaac back to tell him that you would do it, you guys spent a couple minutes chatting explaining what would be going on and when they would introduce you. Basically they would put you in a secret discord with the other contestants and once tanner is down to the last to the last rose he will choose the winner. Once he chooses then isaac will pretend that the game is over and that tanner and the winner will get a date, but then he will tell tanner that he could choose the winner or you then you will get five minutes to convince tanner to choose you for the final rose. Seems pretty easy you thought, and it sounds really fun you couldn't wait to shoot the video.

After waiting a week it was finally time to record the vid.isaac had gathered all the contestants into a chat with him and tanner and you got to sit in a secret one with isaac so when it got down to the last person he would message you to join. An hour went by until Isaac told you that Tanner was picking the winner. “Yayy congratulations emmi you have been gifted the last rose on the discord bachelor, how do you feel tanner?” “it feels so good isaac now i don't have to cry myself to sleep because i'm so alone “ everyone laughed and pretend to cheer tanner on but thats when isaac dropped the bomb on him “ wait what's this we have a secret contestant that i may or may not have placed last on purpose”. Everyone got quiet to listen to what Isaac was going to say next “ladies and gentlemen, let's introduce our secret contestant Y/N!!!” “hey everybody im super excited to see yall” no one spoke at all, they were in shock that isaac got you to come. “OH MY GOD AHHH'' tanner screamed like a teenage girl meeting taylor swift “ok ok ok tanner calm down i know i'm the best, but since we now have a new player we still have to play by the rules” “ nuh uh i know who i choose, i give you y/n this rose as a symbol of my love”. Tanner stuck out his hand at his camera with a funny seductive look on his face. You and others bursted out laughing, man you don't know who this guy was but he sure could make your stomach hurt from laughing and it was a bonus that he was super cute. “No tanner dont forget about emmi over here. Since you already got 5 minutes with emmi alone, i am giving you 5 minutes wut y/n then you will decide who you will actually pick”. Oh god you're actually getting nervous, your hands got all sweaty and you stutterd like an idiot when isaac asked if you were ready, isaac moved you and tanner, and himself into another chat and tanner changed his background to look like a fancy restaurant. “So tanner, isaac told me that you have a big crush on me. Is that true?” Tanner just looked at you with eyes wide and mouth open like when Roger Rabbit sees Jessica rabbit. You couldn't laugh at his goofiness , you have to admit that you were actually having a good time.

Five minutes passed and it was nothing but talking and laughing at tanner being silly “Okay boys and girls now it's actually time for tanner to pick the winner” isaac interrupted. “Hmmm it's a tough pick isaac. Emmi i did have an awesome time with you and you were my first choice, but I'm sorry y/n is my choice. I WILL ALWAYS CHOOSE THEM NO MATTER WHAT GIRL COMES UP TO ME!”. Everyone laughed as tanner acted like a wwe wrestler at smackdown, but you were just staring at this man that chose you over 10 other people you couldn't help but sorta fall for.

-Yumi-

You’ve been really go friends with isaac since highschool and you guy stayed to be really good friends out of highschool. Isaac had always talked about being a youtuber and you always supported the idea and even offering your help with the editing; which was also helping you since you really liked working you on your own time, working with a good friend of yours, and also make pretty good money from your passion. Not only did you work with isaac with his editing but you also did the editing for the group chat podcast; even though you did all the time consuming work for them they had no idea who you were since you didn't live in austin and only complicated through isaac. You were editing on a Friday night so Isaac could upload the video the next day. You were almost done. All you had to do was look over the footage to make sure everything was good but you kept on getting distracted by yumi. You have never met Yumi but you see him everyday and you get used to his face, sometimes it makes your day better. He always had something witty to say or had a good joke to tell, and you sorta started to have a crush on him. Isaac knew about your little crush even though you never said anything he could just tell whenever you asked how they all were and you always asked about yumi first. You were done and just sent the file to isaac when he texted you.

Mr.Famous: Thank you!

Mr.Famous: I actually do. How about you come to Austin and come on the podcast?

You couldn't believe it. Going to Austin and maybe seeing Yumi for the first time, and also seeing your friend that you haven't seen in a long time.

Two days passed since you talked to isaac about coming to austin and now you just got your suitcase from baggage claim and stepped into your uber. Isaac said that he was setting things up for you at the house so he couldn't come and get you from the airport, some friend he is.

At the group chat mansion:

“Tanner don't spill that cereal on the couch they are almost here” “Whos almost here” tanner said with milk dripping out of his mouth “y/n” “whos dat?'' Larry chimed in as he and the others walked in behind him “Are you guys serious i told you two days ago. Y/n my very good friend since highschool that edits my videos and the podcast”. Everyone all passed a look pretending like they knew what their friend was talking about “ you know what i'm not going to say anything-” isaac was cut off mid sentence by the door bell ringing. 

You heard isaac shouting from the other side of the front door so you decided to help out whoever was getting their ass chewed out by isaac and ring the doorbell. The yelling stopped and you waited a second before Isaac opened the door with arms wide open and a smile. You and Isaac hugged for a good second since this was the first time you've seen him in almost 2 years since he moved from pennsylvania. You guys finished your hug and grabbed your bags to come in, you were a nervous wreck due to it being the first time meeting the others. You stood in the living room looking at the 4 in front of you “ hey everyone, it's finally good to see your guyses faces' ' you went up to hug them all. Larry took the hug with a big smile on his face, tanner put on his seductive face like he always do and gave you a hug like a like a rich person would, nick gave you a hug then i medentalty put the camera in your face and asked you to say hi to their fans. Now it was time to hug yumi, now yumi did not like physical affection and everyone in the house knew that besides you. Everyone watched and waited for you to make your way to yumi, but you could tell that yumi was uncomfortable with the whole hug thing so you just dabbed him up;which surprised him but he was okay with it.

You spent the rest of the day with the boys but it wasn't long since you didn't show up to the house until 6. Isaac had to go get the mail from the Po. Box before the mail office closed (wait a great friend honestly!) Larry and Nick went with him and Tanner had decided to stream. It was now going on 11 and you were getting tired so you texted isaac where you were supposed to sleep.

Y/n:Hey i tried to stay up but im really jet lagged, where am i sleeping?

 Mr.Famous: Sorry I won't be back for another 30 mins. Ask yumi to show you the guest room.

OH great, now you have to disturb someone because you finally get out of the house since you work from home, and the person you do have to bother is your crush. That's soooo awesome. You hyped yourself up before you stepped into the kitchen where yumi was eating something “hey i don't mean to bother you but could you show me where the guest room is because isaac won't be back for a while” “yeah no problem”. Yumi put his food down and walked before you did so he could show you, he was about to walk up the stairs until he looked back at you to see you struggling to put the handle on your bag down so you could carry it. Before you could react to what was happening Yumi grabbed the handle and pushed it down so he could grab and carry your bag up the stairs for you. “Oh you don't have to do that i would have gotten it but thank you” yumi didn't say anything until you guys got to the top of the stair “it's no big deal just being a help” he continued walking until he got to an open door. You looked into the room to see a bed, a closet, a desk that had a pc with a bunch of different electronic stuff around it, and next to the bed was a pile of plushies that you've always seen in the back of videos. “Sorry Isaac made us put some stuff in here since we don't use this room, but all the stuff on the desk works if you need to use them” Yumi said as he walked past you to put your bag on the bed. “Oh no it's okay i don't mind” you smiled towards him to assure you that everything was okay by you “well goodnight then” yumi said as he just stood in the doorway staring at you “yeah you too have a goodnight”. You guys just stood and looked at each other for a second until the unthinkable happened; yumi reached down and awkwardly hugged you “sorry i just feel bad for earlier”. You just watched him walk to his room with a dumb smile on your face, you couldn't believe it. Thee Yumi, the man you have a little crush on, gave you a hug. Man life is great, you thought to yourself while you drifted off to sleep.

Hello! you are not the only person to be interested in that idea and i love it! in my opinion, an alec who was 6-7 years older than izzy wouldn't be raised by maryse and robert. alec and jonathon were born during the circle, after they left. so this is part of a universe called walls of adoration, claws of desperations

there is another porition of this written and jsyk it's alec and magnus secret relationship.

also valentine wants soldiers and experiments, he'd encourage his soldiers to keeps the kids, maybe even convince them. but maryse wouldn't take a toddler or a baby with her, it would be a tactical error and distraction.

in my opinion and headcanon, alec is left with the trueblood or lightwood grandparents and if i'm going to go with either, i'm gonna go with the trueblood tbh. i'm biased cause i like maryse better than robert. alec has been living in idris with the disgrace of circle member parents because this is before its hidden. he's about to get his first rune and he's been raised loyal and to disdain his parents because they're traitors.

he's going to refuse to go with them and he's about to get his first rune and maryse is pregnant and will have another heir and the truebloods need one.

Alec prefers the parts of his life that are him living in the outskirts of Alicante. His grandparents have passed and while he is sent to train hunters at Institute’s across the world, he’s had no real interest or reason to officially be called to serve as a Commander.

At least until now.

With Maryse and Robert Lightwood being recalled to Idris, Alec is the only one related who has the qualifications and the right background for it. Robert and Maryse won’t be able to claim the clave is trying to strip the Institute from their family, not when Alec is heir to one of them.

Which is fine, it’s not the worst thing Alec has done and while he dreads the tedium of bringing an entire Institute full of hunters up to his personal standards, it’s not the worst thing he’s done.

It’s a bit annoying to have to stop his current study and projects and while Aline promised to keep him updated, Alec hopes that Sebastian will help remind her. Otherwise, he’ll be hearing about things once every six months.

Alec isn’t interested in politics the way his parents are.

He’s seen what they did to Maryse and Robert and now that he’s older, he understands things better and dislikes them more.

So, it’s with indifference that he goes to New York and it’s with prejudice that he kicks shadowhunters back to New York.

Izzy thinking she’s a shadowhunter informant at fifteen and that she can seduce information from seelies is the ridiculous thing Alec’s ever heard and while she wails and begs, he ignores her petulant whining. She’s her parent’s princess and he knows she’s rarely been told a ‘no’ that she didn’t ignore.

Jace is just as stubborn and the third time he gets himself and other shadowhunters injured, Alec has him with Izzy, Starkweather, and about a fifth of his Institute ready to be shipped back to Alicante.

“It’s a conflict of interest.” He tells Jia with a smirk over the video call that night. “They’re my precious little siblings, Jia. How could I put them through the same kind of training as the others?”

“You just don’t want to deal with them.” Jia accuses, having apparently already found out how much of a headache the two are.

Alec merely raises a brow because it is a conflict of interest and Jia knows it. Everyone knows it, which is why it’s hilarious that she’s still trying.

“Fine. But did you have to send us Starkweather? This is a mess, Trueblood.”

Alec simply hums and signs off, because at least now it’s not his mess.
