If lady sneasler went back home with Ingo i think eventually she would want to try battling with him. I mean it looks fun, everyone tells her it's a good bonding moment for both trainer and Pokémon and it's a golden opportunity to show off, why not? Who's going to stop her, the pearl clan?
Ingo takes a bit of convincing, out of respect for both her and the traditions of the pearl clan, but he relents eventually. He can't deny he's been wanting to do this as well. After a bit of training they have the time of their life destroying people's (read: Emmet, the elite four, other Frontier Brains and generally just other strong trainers (sorry i didn't include Elesa. I love her very much but she is not on their level methinks 😔. Id love to be proven wrong tho)) teams, with a mix of Ingo's old and new team and her as the ace for once in unregulated matches. (Turns out, noble Pokémon naturally have insane stats and therefore cannot partecipate in league matches or official battles. Ingo has to nerf sneasler/the rest of his team or use less Pokémon as a result, but he loves the challenge. He's thrilled when people defeat him.)
(Emmet takes this as a challenge. As long as his Pokémon are on board, he's building his way up to defeating Ingo when they're not holding back. He gets scarily close every time.)
I ran out of space in the tags but blankshippers dni pls. Let's stay in our respective lanes and not interact
#ive been feeling good today!!! good enough to think this up :)#also who else thinks ingo would get some kind of certification for lady sneasler to show that while she might live with him#and be in his pokeball and his team occasionally she is still not his pokemon. kinda like meowth from team rocket#shes there because she wants to beyond just being his Pokémon. do you understand me#anyway yeah there has to be some kind of certification for sorta emancipated (?) Pokémon. do you mean to tell me#that pokemon who have been proven to be more intelligent than humans sometimes are not allowed to just partecipate in society#with their own pokeball in their own hands. paws. whatever#maintagging this feel free to tell me ideas about this. do not send me angst i will explode <3 (serious)#subway boss ingo#warden ingo#ingo and emmet#ingo#emmet#subway boss emmet#lady sneasler#sneasler#btw yeah my headcanon is she absolutely does come back with him shes not losing the only people who actually treat her like a normal person#she might love throwing her title around but damn she'd love if they stopped walking on eggshells around her#she ran put of patience when she met ingo basically lmao#yes this is based on that one post where they say this exact thing. i really like that post#don't know if i should tag elesa or anyone else. there is something going on with her i know it in my soul but idk what it is.#shes very excited about this whole thing whether or not she can safely fight sneasler though. yeah sure ill tag her why not#also once more headcanon time i think pokemon from hisui need to go through training to not absolutely maul modern day pokemon#not because theyre stronger or anything. a modern pokemon could absolutely maul you to death. its just that theyre more used to#self restraint for the human's sake. and therefore would not fight as viciously and may get hurt#Ingo already kinda did this in hisui (and still kicked everyones ass. man they may have been getting better but they were still mostly bad#at battling. he could trust that theyd get even better tho)#anyway but yeah he has to do it again with sneasler and the alphas.#theyre too used to having to kick ass or die and theyre also Stupidly Strong#submas

Thinking about a tma pokemon au.
Michael unknowingly bringing his stantler into the distortion with him. After he is consumed, you can occasionally see a twisted deer-like creature roaming the halls of the distortion.
Gertrude having an elderly absol named Adam that ends up outliving her. He sleeps in Jon's office and refuses to leave unless vanishing into the tunnels. Jon later becomes his legal trainer, but Adam doesn't obey him at all.
Jon got a pokemon way later than normal after collage. He now has an eevee named Commander. Jon isn't very good at being a trainer but Commander loves him anyway. Like most eevelutions, Commander evolves with a close bond with Jon. Unfortunately having a close bond with an eldritch creature can cause a new type of evolution...
Martin has a swablu named Dandy. She likes to chase Commander around for fun. In season 4 Martin rarely takes Dandy rarely comes out of her ball. He doesn't want to find out what happens to pokemon in the lonely.
Peter has a really messed up wingull. It is strangely still and its colors are faded.. He doesn't seem attached to it and it doesn't seem attached to him.
Sasha had a alola vulpix named Snowflake. Everyone finds it odd when suddenly Snowflake starts growling at her trainer. Tim adopts her in season 3
Tim has a pacharisu named Erin. Erin was banned from being out of pokeball on institute grounds after trying to attack Elias's Alakazam.
Admiral is a purugly. He was Georgie's first pokemon. She also has a punkaboo and duskull. Since she can't feel fear, she gets along really well with dark and ghost type pokemon.
Melanie wanted to be a trainer when she was young, so she does have a full team. However, since keeping a full team in London is expensive, most live at a boarding facility for trainers run by a professor. She keeps a psyduck named Binky as a pet. He's a little dummy and Melanie would die for him. The rest of Melanie's team are poison and steel types.
Bassira and Daisy, as cops, both have dog pokemon. Bassira has a growlithe named Amon. Daisy has a lycanroc named Marigold. Marigold is a pokemon avatar of the hunt. She has to be muzzled or she will bite you. Daisy has regrets.
Elias can afford to have a full pokemon team. He is good at battling but doesn't have a very strong connection with any of his pokemon. He has many, many, pokemon over the years and the magic has worn off. That being said, he does seem to favor his yanmask.

WAIT, does that mean that Kieran/Akari still captured legendaries?!!! When they're hearing Cinhtya talking about myths and legends of Hisui to see if there is a semblance of truth, and Akari just goes "Oh, ye." And just, sent Palkia/Dialga, darkrai (Lord of nightmare?!!!), GIRATINA (the fu-) and plenty others?!
...GOD?!
Pfffhehehe, it's just funny to think of the reaction the Poke-world could have to these XD. (Legend AU)
Yeah! They completed the pokedex and helped Laventon get the ball rolling in his research since everything got derailed thanks to a certain someone. I don't think they'd bring the legendaries back with them since like, they're literal gods who are worshipped. They captured them but they still do what they want, like showing up to work on the farm randomly or appearing to Kieran in dreams like they're the Virgin Mary descending to bestow a prophecy and its just Palkia or whoever wanting some attention. Kieran feels very bad for Giritina, and projects a bit on it like they did with Ogerpon, but I genuinely think Kieran is just a very empathetic kid.
The clans worship their specific pokemon like gods with carved figures in their homes that they make daily offering too. At some point Kieran makes one for Giritina and puts little hats on it when it gets cold and leaves berries and treats as an offering. Maybe the big baddie of the Distortion World is that way because nobody ever gave it a hug or tucked it into bed we dont know!
Kieran and Dawn in the future: maybe the real gods of creation are the friends we made along the way
I think there'd be pockets of people descended from the clans in modern Sinnoh who still worship Palkia or Dialga in their homes. Cynthia's family grew up with the church of arceus (and we all know why) but she loves theology and has so many questions because surely that one photo of the Big Three frolicing on a farm is some Ancient Alien level hoax and Kieran is just like: on no they just really like soybeans. I think they were competing to see whose plot got the highest yield.
Diamond and Pearl still happened so Dawn has current "ownership" of the Sinnoh legendaries but they have zero sense of time on a human scale so they'd be stoked to see their buddy Akari again but. But like, morally and ethically can you bring god to a pokemon battle? They'd probably enjoy battling for fun on the occasion but they're not normal pokemon and can't be treated as such. Im my mind there's a parctice of every generation or so since pokeballs became a thing, someone has to catch whichever legendary to keep it safe from your average nutjob drying to take over the world. Pokeballs are technology they're not forever and after a while they degrade and stop functioning. Or at least in my mind that's how it works. It would likely make sense to like. Just bury a legendary's pokeball somewhere and let it live its best life while there's ensurance for like 30 years some rando can't catch it.
Sorry this went on a tangent about my thoughts on religion in the pokemon world, but I see the Legendaries as being too Other and beyond our understanding to stick around on someone's team. I consider the various protagonists who catch them have gained their favor so they will pop in during their lifetime to visit because humans and pokemon need eachother to get stronger. Legendaries imo are just different in that they need exposure to that humanity to keep them grounded and present mentally. They have PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWERS, but itty bitty understanding of humanity, or like, the pokemon equivalent of it.
So yea Kieran doesnt bring any legendaries back with them but they'll still ask to see them occasionally to see if they're doing ok.

So I almost forgot to show off my trainer in Pokemon Scarlet!
You all have seen the awesome art @k-chips did for me, but imma post it again alongside general screens screenshots of her:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trainer Profile: Samantha Weiss
Age: 17
Nationality: Unovan
Favorite Subject: History, Art, and Biology
Team: Tuesday (Meowscarada), Leliana (Corviknight), N (Zoroark, smaller than usual), Loid (Sylveon), Alder (Volcarona)/Cullen (Pyroar), Riley (Lucario), Koraidon, Zorua (Shiny Zorua)
Born in Unova, cousins with White, Unova’s Champion and who is off searching for N (and who is rumored to be missing). Isn’t a big fan of battling, at least battling other trainers. Prefers exploring/ finding new Pokemon/ picnicking. Wants to be a Pokemon professor someday and aims to complete her pokedex. Her hero is Laventon, the creator of the first pokedex. Fiercely protective of her friends, has a soft spot for Arven. A bean, smol bean.
Totally is in love with him lol
Team Personalities:
Tuesday: Samantha’s starter and one of her aces. A girl. Curious and nurturing. The older sister/mom of the team. Friends with Mabosstiff, originally grooming and laying with them while they were still recovering
Leliana: Named for a video game character. A glutton. Bit of a clutz. Loves shiny things; often chases Gimeghouls around
N: unusually small for a Zoroark. Mischievous and tends to pull tricks. Very protective of Samantha, and gets jealous easily. BFFS with Leliana. Often butts heads with Riley
Loid: Named for a character from an anime. A bit spoiled. Samantha’s other ace. Rather serious. Koraidon fears him, even if Loid could care less about him. Likes Arven.
Alder: A cuddlebug (lol). Used to sit on Samantha’s head as a Larvesta, and still does despite being bigger than her. Named for the former Champion of Unova. Thinks he’s smaller than he really is. Talkative and cheerful
Cullen: Named for a character in a video game. Samantha found him being bullied as a Litleo being bullied by a group of Gastly. Tends to wait and study a foe before attacking. Scared of Ghost types. Loves little kids and Deerling- has befriended several wild and owned Deerling.
Riley: Stern and serious. Rarely speaks. The peacemaker of the group. Often butts heads with N.
Koraidon: Sammich lover. Dislikes battle, so Samantha never forces him to battle. Scared of Loid, even though the Fairy-Type could care less. (In the AI!Clavell AU: Technically Clavell’s, but he requested she keep Koraidon for the time being.)
Zorua: A shiny Zorua Samantha found rummaging through her bag one day. A baby, having assumedly only hatched earlier the same day he met Samantha, he doesn’t battle. Refuses to return to his Pokeball and enjoys traveling around in her arms or in her bag. Jealous of Arven and a bit judgemental of him.
Does she alternate Alder and Cullen? Yes. Do Zorua and Koraidon exceed the limit of 6 Pokémon? Also yes, but I imagine you can keep more if they aren't used in battle- Zorua is a literally baby while Kor isn't a battler and prefers zooming around lol
Is her team (and by extension mine) named for Pokémon and Dragon Age characters besides Tuesday, who is named for my cat? Yes and you can't make me change them this is the first time I fully named a team (my first Riolu/Lucario in every game is always named Riley after he gave us the Riolu egg, one of my favorite (if not favorite) Pokémon movie is Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, (and I may or may not still have a crush on Riley and Sir Aaron since I was little), so he is always named as such but everyone else is a new naming thing I decided to do apparently lol)
She'll be showing up in my Scarlet/Violet fics (WHEN I FINALLY START WRITING THEM 🥲)/drabbles/the occasional headcanon (so I can stop saying Player/MC) and in the AI!Clavell AU (again, when my lazy ass finds energy and motivation and inspiration QAQ)
Might make an old blog an ask blog for her, no idea yet.
Feel free to ask about her!

Submas Born By Death AU [Part 2]
Want to see the beginning? Here's the link to Part 1!
All posts for this AU are tagged as "born by death au".
Emmet's and Ingo's parents only become aware of Ingo's lasting presence only a couple years before the shock incident. They were always aware Emmet would sometimes converse or play with something they couldn't see, but they had initially chalked it up to Emmet having an overactive imagination, an imaginary friend. They were never ready for Emmet to excitedly rant about Ingo playing train conductors with him when they had never told him about his deceased brother to begin with.
Emmet isn't sad to learn that Ingo is - was? - his older twin brother. He's verrrry happy, actually! He has a twin brother! Ingo is already his bestest friend ever, he's glad to be able to call Ingo his brother now.
This is shortly after Ingo becomes able to "whisper" to Emmet, as this is when Emmet learns Ingo's name. Emmet spilled the beans almost immediately. It never occurred to him to keep Ingo a secret. In fact, he thought this was "normal". It was HIS normal, after all.
As a ghost, Ingo's soul is what retains his memories, and he seldom forgets anything as long as he is "aware". He remembers his name because he remembers that is what his parents called him before and after his untimely death.
Ingo's "awareness" will occasionally fade if he pushes himself too hard, or if he becomes too stressed. He'll temporarily black out and his form will dissipate, again like a gas, until the stress fades away or he regains enough energy to become "aware" again. It is much like a dreamless sleep, and nothing happens when he is in this state. Recovery time varies. (One time, his recovery took so long, Emmet became worried Ingo wouldn't come back.)
Ingo and Emmet both still become battle fanatics and railway fans.
Ingo goes with Emmet on his Pokemon journey, and only a little put out that he technically can't participate. But he is determined to live vicariously through his little brother! He will often strategize with or give advice to Emmet, in and outside of battle.
Their parents asked Ingo to make sure Emmet stays safe. As the "older" brother, he was inclined to agree to the request.
Eventually, they meet a Litwick. Ingo and Litwick become fast friends.
"Ingo! It's a Litwick! It might eat you!" "Emmet, look! She's so cute! She's a very sweet little lady!" *pokes and pets the Litwick* "INGO!"
Ingo now has a partner pokemon, at the expense of Emmet nearly having a panic attack.
Every so often, they find a pokemon that can vaguely see or sense Ingo (animals can see ghosts tropes), though not as well as Emmet or his partner. Ingo does end up with his own team, much to his family's and his own bewilderment. Ingo's partner helps with organizing and strengthening communication with his pokemon. His pokemon will become better able to see and hear him over time as their connection strengthens.
Emmet and Ingo will multi battle occasionally, posing as a double battle on Emmet's end. This is what awakens Emmet's passion for double battling.
Emmet (and Ingo) essentially becomes a cryptid at some point. An urban legend, so to say. Often because some people will swear up and down they've seen doubles of a strange young boy with silver hair and silver eyes, or that they'll hear another, somewhat similar voice overlapping his during his odd callouts. A certain number of people are convinced he'll steal your soul if you don't run away fast enough after losing a battle against him.
Emmet may or may not be illegally carrying 8-12 pokemon on his person during the late stretch of their now shared journey. Because Ingo can't carry their pokeballs on his own (yet?).
Emmet makes his way through all of the gyms and the Elite Four, but is stopped short at the Champion battle. Emmet doesn't try again.
"I am Emmet! I prefer double battles anyway. I am not disappointed. I'm sure Ingo would've won, though! Yup! I know it! Ingo prefers single battles! And Ingo is verrrry strong!"
Next post? Here's Part 3!

Adult headcanons for the Great Crater Gang
These are my headcanons for what the Great Crater Gang (MC, Penny, Arven, Nemona, and Koraidon) are like as adults. I played Scarlet as fem MC so I'm thinking of these headcanons in those terms. You can switch things around for Violet and/or male MC as needed. Warning for spoilers!
MC/Juliana
Continues Sada's research into Paradox pokemon
Doesn't work on getting more Paradox pokemon, but studying the ones that exist
Time machine is completely dismantled, and it's existence is hidden
The existence of the Paradox pokemon is known to the public, but their existence is explained as being untouched by outside factors so they didn't darwinistically evolve
Area Zero is still off-limits to most people though
Juliana also studies the Tera crystals
Determining what they can do, where they're from, etc.
(Second question will likely be answered in DLC)
Super careful with this research, don't want a repeat of AI Sada
Married to Arven; they have a kid together, Isabella
She asked for his permission to continue Sada's studies, since it was his mom's studies
But she went to Geeta first, since the Pokemon League seems to be roughly the equivalent of the government
Story and gameplay seperation: I don't think she caught any Paradox pokemon when first exploring the crater (I didnt) and she didn't return after like we can to catch them
So in her early 20s she catches the Paradox pokemon and starts studying them
She has a YouTube channel where she explains facts about the Paradox pokemon
Because of Arven's trauma of Sada's neglect and death, she makes sure to come home at the same time everyday, no matter what
Only in extreme circumstances would she stay latter
She and Arven live in Los Platos
Penny
Pokemon League and Naranja Academy's head of IT
One of the best hackers in the world
Since she's originally from Galar, she moved to Paldea upon graduating
Still a bit shy, but has an easier time talking to people
Still keeps in contact with Team Star
They meet up weekly for team dinners
Still loves Eevee
Tbh I don't have much to say about her
Arven
Home Ec teacher at Naranja academy
Teaches mostly cooking
Great at all types of cooking now
Sandwhichs are still his best
He worked at Kofu's restaurant for a while
Great teacher, he calls students "little buddy"
Helps and keeps an eye on students who have rough home lives
Doesn't want anyone else to grow up like he did
Mabosstiff is still going strong
Arven can often be seen walking Naranja Academy campus with Mabosstiff
Makes homemade sandwiches for Juliana when she leaves for work
Was a househusband for a while when Isabella was born
A bit of a helicopter parent
Doesn't try to control Isabella's life, but is pretty affectionate and worries for her constantly
Was worried about being a parent because he never really had good parental role models
He learns a lot from MC's mom and parenting books
Calms down when Isabella enters the academy, but still constantly worries
Nemona
The chairwoman of the Pokemon League; took over when Geeta retired
The new Top Champion/La Primera
Still loves battling, but expresses her enthusiasm in different ways
Encourages battling in many different ways
Holds both casual and serious battle tournaments
Sometimes does guest lectures at Naranja Academy
Very excited for international tournaments and hosts them occasionally
Koraidon
Lives with Juliana and Arven
Pretty spoiled
Watched Isabella when Juliana and Arven were busy, but this was very rare
Good friends with Mabosstiff
Is the only Paradox pokemon to really live outside of the Great Crater/Area Zero
Juliana's caught Paradox Pokemon mostly stay in Area Zero
Accompanies Juliana on her research in the Great Crater
Favorite sandwich is Ultra Refreshing Sandwich
Still services as the main ride mon, but generally doesn't fight
The other Koraidon is caught, but mostly lives outside its pokeball in the Great Crater

[Another video, in much the same manner as the last three. It's set in the same room, given the quiet growling of a hostile Zoroark in the background, but the camera faces the opposite wall. Dawn holds a worn Pokeball belt with 7 old, old Pokeballs on it.
"Someone told me Akari has a Hisuian Zoroark... so I'm gonna find it, and hope it helps her. Everyone else is in their Pokeballs in case any of these guys don't like other Pokemon. Let's go."
She unclips one ball and tosses it into the air. Out comes a Sylveon, with dullish colors and a few battle scars. It looks at Dawn curiously, confusedly, before turning in a circle to survey the room. It stops, facing beyond the camera with a worried expression, and lets out an equally worried trill. A savage bark startles it, and Dawn quickly returns it to its ball before setting said ball aside.
Next up is a Honedge, which very quickly realizes the situation and starts trying to attack Dawn. She shrieks and hits it with its ball, containing its fury again.
After that is a Garchomp, which looks around the room, rather disgruntled. It looks at Dawn as if unimpressed, and bops her with the back of its claw, seeming surprised when nothing happens. It looks at the camera like in The Office, before possibly seeing Akari and jumping in some form of fright. A bright orange glow reflects off its scales before Dawn returns it and skitters away with the camera.
It cuts to a massive Sneasler staring down Dawn, arms crossed and posture faux-relaxed. Its claws twitch. It looks about ready to tear her up if she doesn't explain something. it gets returned with an exasperated flip of its feather and the start of a middle-finger(middle-claw?).
After Sneasler is Typhlosion, who's slumped, tired posture is stiff with worry. It keeps looking between the camera and Dawn, giving a single grunt after a minute like a question. Dawn sighs and takes off her beanie, running her hand tensely through her messy hair. It catches on a tangle, and Typhlosion is quick to get her free. Then it, too, goes back to its ball.
Dawn sighs, looking at the two balls left. She pulls her beanie back on and gives the camera a tired smile.
"Well, two left. What do you think, Retemei? You feel lucky?"
A Rotom responds in an excitable tone. Dawn closes her eyes and nods, smile wobbling.
The first Pokeball contains a Jolteon, which quickly zips off-camera and starts yipping at Akari. The camera quickly swivels as Dawn runs forward to return it before the readying Snarl hits.
It turns back as Dawn walks back to her spot, looking haunted. "I didn't think she'd attack her team," she mumbles. Her eyes are glossy. She blinks hard, resulting in a few tears falling, before holding up the last Pokeball.
"Well, seventh time's the charm..." She takes a deep breath, lets it out, and tosses the final ball into the air.
This Pokemon does not spawn next to her. Rather, it comes out behind the camera, given the blurry, static-like effect that starts taking over the visuals. Dawn's eyes widen, a shadow flicking across her hands as they go to her shoulders.
"Oh. ... hi." Her greeting squeaks out, a sound of fear as the vague brush of wind starts to be audible on the speakers, a growing rumble with it.
One of Dawn's hands spread and twitches in a tiny wave. "You're... you're the- th- Zoroark...?"
The sound of wind gets stronger, then fainter again, with the shattering of ice on ice. Dawn nods, looking scared for her life.
"cool, cool cool, uh- I don't- I-" She takes a deep breath and tries to sort her words. The entire top half of the video is covered by dark white, with the occasional wave of red pulsing through it. The sounds of sniffing can be heard below the suddenly intense whip and clatter of a hailstorm, and a quiet, strained squeal while Dawn stays absolutely still.
After a little bit, the dark white and red retreats, back behind the camera. The sounds of a storm fade away into the distance, to be replaced with a brief, mournful howl, and then nothing at all.
Dawn is trembling. The camera starts to turn, but she reaches out and stops it. "cool," she whispers again, barely able to use her voice. "Glad to... know you won't... attack me." Another sound, a drawn-out disgruntled growl that ends in a creak like an old door, fades in and out behind the camera. Dawn blinks, still for a moment, then shudders violently, one hand grabbing the locks of hair by her face.
"That was- Was that- You?" A shifting. Dawn nods, presumably back to the Zoroark. "okay. Okay. W-well. Well, Akari is..." She points beyond the camera. Shifting is heard again, then an alarmed and pained bark. She jumps, then grabs the camera and rushes off, turning off the video in the process.]

Ash Amalgamation au
So I wanna do a pokemon au and its an of au of an au lmao cause it’s based off of @anxiousworm ‘s hybrid ash au (Which has been rewritten into the Pokemon: Genesis au which I am very excited to see more of) except I never watched the movies lol and I’ve only actually really seen the Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos anime with the rest of my knowledge on the anime being occasional clips, like the start of the Alola one, that creepy Sabrina episode, etc so I apologize if my info is inaccurate or if I write a character wrong, there are too many episodes of the anime to watch.
This au is called the Ash Amalgamation au to differentiate from the names anxiousworm made for their au. This post covers the backstory I have in mind, how this au affects the story is in a future post
Backstory (TW as I do mention a stillborn child, human experimentation and slight body horror???):
- So Ash was created by Dr Fuji with extra mew DNA and the DNA of a stillborn child that Giovanni provided to Dr Fuji because he was curious of the results on what would happen if a pokemon and a human were to be fused since Dr Fuji proved capable of making a human clone and a pokemon clone
- Ash was called “Test Subject″ because Giovanni never informed them what the baby’s name was so he was simply called Test Subject for convenience.
- When he was created he was an actual baby and his body didn’t look too dissimilar to Mew except his tail was shorter and his body wasn’t pink like Mew’s but the skintone of the actual Ash. (with the exception of his tail, legs and right arm which are like Mewtwo’s color wise)
- Ambertwo would hold him in the dream world she was in with Mewtwo and the Kanto starters since naturally he couldn’t move around on his own and she handed Ash to Mewtwo as she disappeared and asked it to take care of Ash.
- As Ash grew, he began to develop more human features except it was clear he wasn’t normal cause of the fact he developed horns (I was thinking of keeping them as his ears but its too complex so its horns. His horns are colored like Mewtwo’s), his tail grew larger like Mewtwo’s, his right arm and his legs were also like Metwtwo’s body though his legs were moreso a fusion of a human and a Mewtwo’s legs as regular Mewtwo legs wouldn’t work on his body. Due to how human he began looking, one of the scientists, Albert Ketchum, started to feel horrifically guilty and decided when Ash was 5, to smuggle him out of his tube and run away with him. He got away with it by keeping Ash in a pokeball that Ash didn’t struggle against because he didn’t understand what was even going on.
- Mewtwo was very distressed when Ash went missing and its memories of the first clones resurfaced though his feelings and memories were suppressed by the scientists in time before he destroyed something. They did not wipe its memories of Ash because they believed finding the test subject would be easy
- Albert took the child to his cousin, Delia, and revealed just what he was and begged her to take care of him as he had to go on the run since he knew Team Rocket would come after him and he couldn’t give him over to his romantic partner or siblings since he knew that’s where Team Rocket would first look. Delia agreed and Albert disappeared a week after this.
- Delia gave Test Subject the name “Ash” and moved to Pallet town after she entrusted the help of Professor Oak, an old family friend, to get to the bottom of just Ash was and for the sake of her own protection in case Team Rocket came after her.
- Professor Oak was rather horrified when he met Ash since not only was he some horrific fusion of a mythical pokemon and a person but he hadn’t spoken with his mouth but with telepathy.
- Ash isn’t anywhere near as proficient as Mewtwo is with his powers and is only actually capable of telepathy, flight and the move confusion but despite his lacking abilities in comparison to his fellow clone, he still caused a fair bit of destruction for Professor Oak and Delia with his powers, primarily when he was distressed from certain tests, situations he was unfamiliar with and with his pokeball that only Delia could coax him into returning to.
- Oak actually pulled some strings to get Delia to legally have Ash as her son because they couldn’t do it normally under the risk of Ash’s true form being exposed to them and to begin with Ash didn’t have any sort of birth records (unless you count the records of his creation in New Island) so he had to use some old connections to get the legal adoption in
- When he was 7 and in much better control, he learned the move transform after watching Ditto from Oak’s lab for an extended period of time and managed to transform to look like a human boy, shocking Delia and Oak when  he achieved this though this was a pleasant surprise to Delia because when it was clear his use of transform was sustainable and he dropped it when he willed it to, Delia could actually let him go outside, something he’d longed to do for so long. Thanks to him looking fully human and being able to speak with his mouth by the time he was 8, he got to fully see the world itself without needing to hide or be sneaky about his existence.
Notes:
- Tbh I have no clue on what I should do with the stillborn child that Ash’s human part was born from. Right now I’m thinking of Giovanni being the dead child’s father but I’m not sure if that’s just gonna add too many elements to this already insane au especially since if I did that, that means I’d have to decide if Giovanni cares about Ash and had the same goal as Dr Fuji in the experiment or if he’s a terrible father

Jolyne “Jo” Estelle Morrison Bio
Jo was was born in Alola, to an Alolan/Paldean mom and a Galaran father from a well to do family and had to frequently travel and move around due to her family's work as Pokémon researchers and was homeschooled as a result.
Jo chose Rowlet as her starter while in Alola and named him Archimedes, or Archie for short  after seeing the Aegisslash in the Stone as a kid and being fascinated with the wizard’s Noctowl. Being a child she was fully convinced that they were the same Pokémon due to Archie having a Shiny Noctowl’s color scheme, though she was extremely disappointed to find out that real Noctowl don’t talk
Her parent’s research would move the family to Galar for work and Jo briefly attended a prep school there. While staying there, she would also briefly meet her grandparents on her dad’s side, who were not at all happy at having a dark skinned trans grandchild, and explicitly made that clear, by disowning her and her parents. In revenge for the slight, her dad stole the family’s prized Scyther and a large portion of his inheritance and gave the latter to her as a birthday gift.
While at prep school, she was a bit of an outcast due to just starting to transition, but she was able to make friends with a lot of the other immigrant kids, and had Archy for company, which made it more barrable. She lived there long enough to pick up an accent and a fascination with Fairy Pokemon. She also gained an intolerance to the cold due to the region’s constantly gloomy weather though she did learn to gain a love and craving of the various sweets, teas and fiery curries that she ate there.
Jo didn't get to really build a team until after moving to Paldea, where the family officially settled their roots, even if her parents would still constantly travel for work, and as a result a lot of her Pokemon are imports from other regions or gifts from her parent's for stranding her with relatives who lived in the area. I'm also going with the idea that Hisuian variants of Pokemon are available either by breeding or fossils in this setting
After many challenges and trials, she became reigning league champion at 25 and decided to take a year off due to constant pressure due to people wanting to take on the champ, in addition to having to deal with the occasional stalker and chaser as well, leading to her developing a very brutal and efficient battle style as a result.
She loves getting to find new people to battle and has made regional trips just to meet up and battle someone or find region exclusive Pokemon, though as acting champ she frequently has to postpone her travels to defend her title. While abroad, Jo will usually spend a lot of time and money getting goods and items shipped or delivered via Rotom Drone to wherever she's staying due to getting homesick.
Her Favorites are as Follows:
Miltank Moo-Moo Milkshakes
Capsakid Pepper Sauce
Galar”s Finest Lemon Teabags
Vileplume Perfume
Raging Tauros Topical Testosterone Cream
The latest fashions from Unova and Kalos
Alolan Passion Fruits
Team
Her main team, if not restricted by region or league rules, is as follows.
Decidueye “Archimedes” (Shiny Noctowl coloring due to breeding)
Level 86. Archie has been with Jo since she was 5 and is considered her ace Pokemon. Frequently takes naps and practicing his archery, he’s often prone to coming up with new “cool” poses to practice, and gets embarrassed if found out, but is fiercely protective when angered or in battle, and is capable of delivering pin point strikes capable of crippling his targets. Archie is the only one on the team kept in a regular pokeball
Hisuian Samurott “Ronin”
Level 84. Ronin was originally a badly injured Oshowatt that Jo found while traveling, and despite the Pokemon center’s best efforts, they couldn’t fully heal Ronin’s injuries, making her fairly grouchy at the best of times, but this aggression increased as she evolved into a Samurott, leading Jo to discover that she’d rescued a Hisuian variant. Ronin will often take the pain of her injuries out on her opponents, leading to multiple fines over unnecessary roughness, but Jo wouldn’t trade her for anything, and the feeling is returned. Kept in a Net Ball
Skeledirge “Scoville”
Level 85. Scoville was Jo’s first Paldean Pokemon, as a Fuecoco, and she knew right away that there was not a single thought going on in between those eyes and that she had to add him to her party. Gentle and a massive lover of music, Scoville is constantly bugging Jo to play his favorite songs during their travels, and has gone so far as to have Cupcake steal her Rotom phone when she refuses, which lead her to buying him his own Rotom powered mp3 player to prevent this. He has a surprisingly eclectic musical taste and loves everything from classical to rap. Kept in a  Level Ball
Scizor “Reaper” (Equipped with Scizorite)
Level 84. Reaper is the oldest of Jo’s Pokemon, originally belonging to her grandfather as a Scyther, and is a prideful war veteran who was regulated to serving tea or cutting the lawn and hedges, once Sir Morrison retired. While happy to have a new master that will make use of his battle talents, Reaper gets tired rather easily due to his age, and will strike quickly to put an end to things, so he can go get tea ready despite Jo’s constant reassurance that he doesn’t need to . Occasionally, however, he will find a challenge worth prolonging the fight for, and will Mega evolve despite the strain it puts on his body. Kept in a Fast Ball
Tyrantrum  “Brutus” (Equipped with Dynamax)
Level 83. Brutus began life as a Jaw Fossil that Jo received from one of her parents' trips and was resurrected as a Tyrunt. He is prone to throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his way even after his evolution, and he still has issues adjusting to the modern world, often seeing other Pokémon or cars as either competition or prey though luckily this is handled via a well-applied spray bottle. Goes through enormous amounts of food, and often demands to be handfed, or given live prey to eat which is an expense that Jo will occasionally shell out money for after a big win. Brutus is fully convinced that the rest of the team are his subjects, Jo included and are there to worship him. He gets excited whenever he gets the ability to Dynamax, as he feels it shows off his kingly majesty. Kept in a Heavy ball.
Alolan Raichu “Cupcake” (Shiny, but Has Pink cheeks left over from her Pichu evolution due to Transitioning via Evolution. Has a heart-shaped tail)
Level 80. Cupcake is the baby of the bunch, discovered as a Pichu in a crate of fruits meant for an Alolan bakery, having eaten the entire contents. She frequently will demand parfaits or ice cream after a big win and has a sweet tooth that matches and exceeds Jo's on occasion. Despite her laid-back nature and relative in-experience compared to the rest of the team, Cupcake is a skilled battler and combines her ability to float with her natural agility to alternate between running on all fours to evade attacks or surfing through the air. She uses her pyshic abilities to communicate strategies with Jo and will act as a translator by sharing the team's thoughts with her. Kept in a Love Ball
(While I don't have a Canon design for her just yet and have to use Nessa as a placeholder, my face and voice claim for Jo is basically Mel Medarda as a pokemon trainer)

hello!! i'm carmen, a casual pokemon trainer. i do like battling sometimes but, yk not often. my team is just full of sweeties and i love them and i hope you do too, bc you're gonna see a lot of them on here!!
my sister is also on rotomblr? we might interact but idk shhh
here is my card:
Tumblr media
----------
TINY was my starter. when i was eight or so, i was in the appartment when a driftloon just. wandered in. and instead of getting my parents, i threw an empty pokeball at them, and i've had him ever since!
WHOPPER is my fifth pokemon that i had gotten on my family trip to paldea!! it was mainly to catch a tinkatink but i had gotten lost at a pond and i found a bunch of tadbulbs!! one of them really wanted my attention (i was shocked with static electricity from petting them for too long..) and would not leave me. so. i kept him.
CAR BATTERY is my second pokemon that i had asked for from my godmother (she's so sweet) and i had raised my boy car battery from a grubbin!! his ivs are also great (she didnt have to do that but she did. good for battling his energy out!)
SAILOR is my sixth pokemon i had gotten from the paldea trip. funny enough, her name has a bit of meaning- me and my sister who wanted tinkatinks had been searching, and sarge keeping other pokemon at bay. I was trying to lure them out, with no luck and a bunch of smashed berries; and then i turn around to see sarge sharing a berry with a brave tinkatink that had gone up to say hi! sailor and sarge are very close to this day.
SARGE, my main battler, is my third pokemon. I had found sarge as a honedge, weak on the sidewalk. i believe they had been discarded from a shiny hunter. luckily, i wasn't stupid (this was maybe 3 years ago?) and didnt grab her by the hilt. i fed her the food i had and took her to the nearest pokemon center. apparently, in doing so she sworn to herself she would always stay by my side for what i did, so... um. it was hard to tell my mom that this ghost sword now will never leave me. i love sarge though, she's like a mom to the others (she is still allowed to be devious though. just a little.)
CONEY is my fourth pokemon. I had found him in the outside fridge when summer just started, and had almost mistaken him for a literal ice cream cone, but then actually looked. coney got really scared and wouldnt come out of the freezer. i had to catch him to make sure he wouldnt eat all of the food in the freezer. so when i did, i gave him food for the road, and released him. because the very next day i found him in my freezer. I decided to keep him.
----------
[ooc- this is a pokeblogging rp acc! i have tags for each of my pokemon for when i mention them, or draw them. i might not be active OFTEN because my motivation for anything ever sucks but i will post occasionally. feel free to interact!!]

Pokemon Scarlet Playthrough part 15: The gang gets together, beginning of the journey into the sparkling land, and Time Machines
Playthrough Masterlist
So it really is just a coincidence pretty much that Arven happened to recruit my other friends. I find it very funny that all Arven needed to do to get Nemona on board was to tell her that there would be strong Pokemon, that was all she needed, ha ha, that's my Nemona!
With Penny he asked Clavell about people who were good with technology. I figure he didn't tell Clavell why he wanted someone who was good with tech though. Arven mentioned that they were doing this to help me, and that's why Penny got on board. Arven mentioning that she's old fashioned with how she feels about debts got me thinking about Team Star's code.
So I do find it funny that I'm the only one here who's friends with everybody. Makes me think of a birthday party. Like you can have a core group of friends but the members of that group will still have friends outside the core friend group. So it can be odd going to a friend's birthday party and like the core friend group is there and makes up most of the people, but then there's a few other people there who are just strangers to everybody else but the birthday kid.
We hear Sada and she's like "oh good you're here [insert my name]. And you brought friends" So she tells us where to go. I feel bad for Arven because it looked like it wanted to say something to his mom. She's also paying more attention to me than she is him. I feel bad for him. So yeah, I'll go in the gate next, see what happens.
So poor Kori is scared because it was already hinted that something traumatic happened to it. And Sada says to ride it down to the ground. And immediately I'm like "all four of us? is there enough room?" Well I guess there was, although Penny had a precarious position.
So we get to the ground and I'm like "Wait, where's Nemona?" But the other character's are focused on Koraidon's fear. Kori's like "I'm out of here" and hides in its Pokeball. And then they're like "Wait where's Nemona?" Well she comes running up and is like "yooooo this place is awesome!" And she's right, it is.
So I noticed that 1) I can't ride Koraidon because its hiding 2) the music is fucking amazing 3) the Pokemon battle music is also amazing. Seriously I'm going ham for this music! It's fantastic! It also has got me thinking about how good the dungeon music was from PMD.
Going on, this place is so sparkly! There are sparkles in the wind, the water is sparkling. Some of the trees have crystals at their base. This place is beautiful! tbh, I was imaging Area Zero to be more like a thick jungle, but this place feels like some kind of fairy land. And I mean that, in that this place is both dangerous and pretty.
So Sada told us to go unlock the locks on her lab. I gotta say, why do people put locks on the outside of places? Locks should go on the inside unless you want to trap someone. It's just bad design. So we gotta go to the research centers to unlock them. I bet there will be boss fights. I'm guessing... Tera raids? Tera raids do take four people and there are four of us.
Also one thing I should bring up... Sada talks like a robot and I'm quite sure I know why, unfortunately. I saw fanart, and it's not like I was looking for Scarlet fanart, mind you, it just showed up in my feed because I like Pokemon. So I kinda know what's up. I don't know specifics at least.
So while walking there occasionally my friends stop to chat. But I need to pay attention or else I'll miss what their saying. The first went fine. But the 2nd time a bunch of wild Pokemon were chasing me and they kept interrupting the conversation by battling me. It's hard to read when you're also trying to dodge wild animals tackling you. I think I missed part of the conversation. :( They were all talking about how they met me though. Of course Penny didn't go into details, lol. Going to the research base next.
So I've reached the first research station but I forgot a few other comments I wanted to make. 1) there are some weird berries here that I've never seen before in Pokemon games, help to make this place feel alien. 2) When I was talking about how sparkling this place is I forgot to mention that it fits with the whole Tera thing. What with the crystal theme.
Anyway a Glimmora blocked out path. I guess it was maybe supposed to be a boss battle but I didn't even get a chance to attack. Nemona's Lycanroc took it out instantly. Is this how Arven felt when I was doing all the kickass-ing when we were fighting the titans? I was kinda hoping for a more epic boss battle with all of us, but hey there's time for that to happen still.
So Glimmora is for sure weird looking but I have one and so does Geeta (which Nemona mentions) I did happen to find it in a ordinary cave but I got the feeling it was a rare spawn. I know that they drop the material for Tera blast. Since Geeta has a Glimmora and gave me Tera blast, and that Glimmet are probably more common in Area Zero... I bet Geeta has been here before.
We unlock our first lock, and poor Arven is completely ignored by his mom again. And there's a gross dusty old bed that can restore my health if I so wish. But most interesting are the notes on the desk. It talks about a [redacted] being that tera energy seems to come from and something about it having a hexagonal pattern. I bet this thing is like Eternatus. Like something that has Ultra Beast/Alien vibes. It's be weird and spooky I hope. And like Eternatus, it's where this special energy comes from. I will continue on now.
Made it to lab two. At the point where Arven was talking about what happened last time he went to Area Zero, right after he mentioned being attacked by a mysterious Pokemon, I ironically was attacked and pulled into a Pokemon battle with Corviknight. So yeah Arven snuck in to try to find his mom but had to retreat because his dog got hurt.
I feel real bad for him. He grew up taking care of himself and learned cooking because no one did it for him. He literally had no one looking after him. Does Pokemon have child protective services? I think Arven really could have used them.
So when we approached the 2nd station we had a run in with a Scream Tail. Afterwards Arven and Penny are like "Was that even a Pokemon?" And me a Nemona are like "well yeah it's a Pokemon, it looks like one and uses moves, doesn't it" what looks like a duck, quack likes a duck. I find the game's insistence of not calling them Pokemon annoying. They are 100% Pokemon, like why is this being called into question?
If I lived in the Pokemon World and saw a Scream Tail with no context, I'd be like like "Oh, it's some weird form of Jigglypuff I haven't seen or heard of before, I wonder where it's from." Like Pokemon forms are a thing. Just because it doesn't look exactly like you thought it would doesn't mean it's not a Pokemon. My gosh!
So Sada is like, "yeah that's a prehistoric Pokemon." and "There's a time machine in my lab." And Penny's like "say sike right now." Anyway from the sounds of it Arven knew she was working on a time machine and was trying to get it working.
Reading the notes around the lab, they just talk a lot about how unstable Tera energy is. But I guess Sada figured it out eventually. In other news... warp pads! Haven't seen these in a while. I can go to the other visited Research Baes or the Gate itself. Oh right and another thing... I wonder how Arven managed to get to the ground from the gate. It's not like he had Koraidon back then.
I'll cut this post off here, but i'm going to keep playing and start working on a new post, see you soon.

“Okay, as promised, let me introduce you all to the team.
This is Pecha, my Togekiss. She was my first ever partner and she’s been with me through everything. She’s a sweet little thing and an affectionate cuddlebug--even now she’s still trying to sleep under my coat at night heheheh!”
“Aspear is sort of her adoptive brother of sorts.” He gestures to the larger Togekiss floating nearby. “I found him as a Togetic when I was studying the massive mass outbreaks that started happening. He’s a bit more headstrong and reckless than Pecha but he’s got a good heart. He also helps gang up on me with Pecha and smothers me in his feathers. Oh! I should mention he’s an Alpha as well, I forget most people here can’t recognize Alphas on sight.”
“Atlas is my Garchomp. In truth, I wasn’t actually expecting him to be my partner; when you’re a kid, a Gible running at you full speed is a reason to panic. Pecha stunned him to help me out and I panicked and threw as pokeball since my legs were jelly. I don’t think he meant any harm by it though. Actually, even though he tries to look tough, he secretly gets really lonely when I’m not around.”
“Then there’s-AH” Volo is suddenly tackled by a large Hisuian Arcanine. “Get off!! Not right now! Off, off!” The Arcanine obeyed and Volo took a second to dust himself off. “That is Roseli. She’s an Alpha Arcanine I met back at the Coastlands. She saw me getting chased by an Alpha Glameow and jumped in to save me. After that she kind of just. Picked me up and treated me like I was a cub. She joined my team very willingly, and it was kind of a big achievement for a while to have an alpha for a partner at such a young age.”
“Polaris is my Spiritomb. I found the details for how to summon a Spiritomb while looking through some ruins. He’s a bit of a loner admittedly, but he really understands me. I like to watch the stars with him sometimes. I’ve heart that Spiritomb are usually considered pranksters, but the only pranks Polaris really pulls are hiding food and occasionally disappearing to scare people.”
“Then there’s Gabriel. I met him as a Riolu. I used to bring my pokemon to the Riolu and Lucario herds to help them train and Gabriel was a Riolu I saw quite often. After a few spars we had with each other, he ended up becoming a life long companion. He’s a VERY good boy, isn’t that right?” A Lucario in the background barked.
“My Roserade’s name is Chamomile. We met in the Mirelands back when I had most of my team together. I thought I had enough pokemon but then this one little Budew wouldn’t leave me alone. He followed me across the Mirelands because he wanted to join me and thought we’d be a good fit. And we were! After all these years he’s still been a lovely companion who wants to help out.”
“I met Snip Tool while I was studying space-time distortions.” A nearby Hisuian Decidueye rumbled. “He nearly pecked my eye out hehehe. But! He’s a good guy. He likes to be respected for his abilities and he likes a good challenge.  A lot of times if we had to camp out somewhere dangerous, I’d find him out there keeping watch even before I had said anything to anyone.”
“Addy on the other hand,” Volo pointed to a Leafeon who was looking up at him smugly, “is a little shit. I love him to death but he is a cheeky motherfucker who will hear you telling him not to do something and then proceed to do it in front of you. He will learn all your secrets and look at you so judgementally for anything and everything!! But! Despite all that, I do love hi ma whole lot. He’s one tanky boy and he can take a lot of hits if he needs to. (As long as they’re physical hits anyway.)
“Gooey is my Gastrodon and he is my very special boy!!! Back when I was traveling around the Fieldlands with him as a Shellos, literally nothing could hit this guy! He stalled out an Alpha Blissey while I was healing everyone from earlier fights! AN ALPHA BLISSEY! She couldn’t get a hit on him! He’s the craftiest powerhouse and my gooey little baby!!”
A Luxray came into view and nuzzled his head into Volo’s head. “Admittedly... Button and I didn’t get along very well in the beginning. I caught him completely on accident while looking for a different pokemon, but I didn’t want to stop in my search so I said I was going to release him later when I found it. He was also really aggressive and headstrong as a Shinx which kept attracting fights or scaring off other pokemon. I really thought Button was just going to be a temporary member but... well, my search kept going on longer and longer before I gave up and by that point... Button had mellowed out as he evolved and I’d realized how much he’d helped with battles so I finally swallowed my pride and kept him. I’ve been doing my best to make up for misjudging him ever since.”
“As for my non-battling partners, I have two! I’ve already talked a little about Embers, my Rapidash, but here she is! Even though her eyes are bad, her hearing and her sense of smell are still pretty good! And she’s really gentle; I’ll feed her berries out of my hand most days.”
“Lastly we have the beloved, most fearsome creature to ever come out of the Fieldlands!” Volo held out his hand and presented a small Wurmple, who was wiggling her legs and calling fiercely. “Wuwu. I picked her up a long time ago, and even though she’s quite strong, she’s been pretty resistant to evolution. I think she likes staying as a Wurmple buuuuut. Well. Wurmple can’t learn many moves. So I mostly keep her out of the way some place safe.” He gives her a little boop on the head. “You’ll get your chance to shine some day.”
“Aaand that’s everyone! Aside from Embers and Wuwu, everyone else stays with me pretty much all the time and I’ve raised Most of them myself so. If you any questions about them or their species, these would probably be the ones I’d know the most about!”
-Volo

-- Paldea Arc: Journeying (6)
Tumblr media
It didn’t take long for them to pack up camp... but how to get to the next gym. Well, that was easy enough with the Taxi Service here as the next one lied clear across the region and had they walked, it would take them days, and with Ashe still getting over her cough -- which wasn’t any better and was being a stubborn bug at that, the best act they could do was take a Taxi. Given, when it arrived, they were not expecting it to be ferried by a bunch of pokemon they had never seen before in shades of different colors; Squawkabilly. With pokemon in their pokeballs and backpacks ready, they climbed aboard and the pokemon surprisingly were able to carry them around to where they needed to go; Cascaroffa.
Paying a bit extra upon arrival to the town, Leon and Ashe wanted to visit the port town of Porto Marinada after while Kianga had caught wind of a strange pokemon in the desert -- likely another Titan, and so it was decided that the group would split up for now. Ruko would go with Kianga in case of back-up and Ashe and Leon would linger long enough to take on the gym before heading to Porto Marinada. With that, the group said their goodbyes for now. Immediately rushing to the gym, Ashe looked more then excited despite her cold and it showed in the battle, using her full team to take down the team while Leon watched on with Koraidon and Miraidon, the latter looking on curiously, and once she got her badge, Leon took the team on, this time deciding to use his full team as well against Kofu.
After getting two badges to add to their roster, they’d catch the Taxi to Porto Marinada ( and Ashe suffering in the heat ) where while exploring with Miraidon and Koraidon at their sides, find two items that supposedly held meaning to Charcadet as a pokemon. Purchasing both for later, they headed out to find a place to settle for lunch with the two dragon-types while the other pokemon went out to play on the beach and also get some training in or simply nap in the sun’s rays.
Meanwhile, Kianga during this time crossed the desert with relative ease, occasionally commenting to Ruko about the wild pokemon here -- and when they did find the pokemon they were looking for -- a large Donphan-looking pokemon that Kianga couldn’t quite place, a battle wound ensue, and as usual, it fell, giving them the chance to pick up a bit more Herba Mystica. Making their way to Porto Marinada where they met up with Ashe and Leon and everyone else, the Herba Mystica would be spread to Koraidon, Miraidon, and Ashe. The former two seemed to be feeling a lot better then they usually did and were ever hungry much to the amusement of a few and chagrin of a few more. After dinner, Leon would suggest to show the items to Bedivere and Nova, and upon seeing them, the two pokemon would each pick one and begin to evolve into Ceruledge and Armarouge respectively... and then just begin to spar all over again.
There was no rest for the newly hyped up pokemon, but that was fine by Ashe and Leon’s standard up until Ashe started coughing in which she was promptly escorted to bed by Miraidon amusingly so while Koraidon remained outside to feel the wind beneath his feathers with Leon who kept an eye on the newly evolved sisters. Needless to say, everyone did get something accomplished and some sleep... but varying degrees of it.

This is another entry for the pokemon workshop writting contests with the promt
"As the night settles and the moon rises, there is something that's not as it seems."
Camping under the moon
It was a full moon, seven months since Abby had started her journey. She had been through a lot and was used to camping out now. The tent was secured just fine with only a bit of wind, the rain had stopped and it wasn't too cold. She and her team had been through a lot worse. Nothing felt wrong. If only Riot would agree.
“You wont fit in the tent please just going into your ball.” But the Arcanine was not listening. All she got back was a huff.
“Come on even Paulo is in his ball. There nothing out there” She could feel the Porygon wriggled in his ball on her belt knocking the ball next to it, the Joltik inside giving a knock back. “Shocky don’t encourage him.”
Something in a bush behind them moved, getting both of there attention.
The bush, moved gently in the wind
“See it was nothing” Abby said as she turned back trying to convince herself it was all ok. Riot however still disagreed, walking up to the bush and sniffing it before letting out a growl. Nothing came out of the bush. It was empty
“It was probably just a pokemon in there earlier. Must have gone to sleep as should we” She held out his pokeball as on offer for him to enter. She wasn't going to force him in if he really didn’t want to.
NAME looked down at it, but decided not to and moved on to sit by the entrance of the tent. Intent on guarding it tonight.
“Well if you insist on staying out tonight. But don’t blame if it starts to rain.” She gave him a sympathetic look, but there was no convincing him that a nice and comfortable ball was going to be better that outside tonight. “Good night then” She gave one last look before heading in. But in doing so, seeing something in the shadows move. “Its just the trees” She whisper to herself.
Abby woke to a noise outside. Movement and lot of it. “Riot? You ok?” There was no response. Sticking her head out side the tent, Riot was no were to be seen. “Riot you there?” It was quite, he had gone somewhere in a rush. “This is not good. Shocky, Paulo I need your help.” She took their pokeballs and let out them. Shocky giving a big yawn and stretch as she woke up, her yellow fur in a ruff sate. Paulo was still asleep. Head down and little snores came out of the Porygon.
“Hey buddy wake up” Abby gave him a gentle shake to wake him. He fidgeted a little but did not open his eyes.
Shocky took this as her chance to wake him and get revenge for knocking her ball. The Joltik leaped onto to him and climbed to his back to let out a small shock.
“BEEEEEP!” Paulo flew off the floor, beeping in alarm as he threw Shocky off and onto the ground, she was giggling to herself. He glared down at her, fully ready to fight her again.
“Hey come on you two don’t fight.” After they stared down each other for a second they both relaxed and were ready to listen to Abby. “So I heard something outside and now Riot is gone.” she was tensing up as she said it. “So we need to go look for him” Both nodded in agreement as Paulo came to her side and Shocky climbing up to her shoulder.
“Thanks” She breathed a sigh of relief “Im guessing he went, This way.” The bush from before had been burnt down leaving only faint embers glowing. Abby got out a torch and turned it on, revealing tracks that could only belong to an Arcanine.
The tracks went on for a while, the occasional burn marks on the surrounding but no other signs of fighting. As if Riot was the only one chasing. The three of them stayed close together not been able to see much further than the torch.
As the way started to become more rocky they started to notice flashes of fire, Riot. Abby started running rover the rocks to get to him
“Riot!” She was sprinting now, almost slipping on the rocks until she could see the Arcanine in an open part, surrounded by what little plant life could grow here on fire lighting the arena. “Are you hurt?”
He looked her way when his name was called, Abby could see he was panting, but had no injuries.
“What’s going on? Were you fighting someone?”
He answer with a flamethrower. It going past Abby and straight for Paulo who had to drop to the floor to doge it.
“What's gotten into you?” She was getting scared, he never acted like this before. Paulo began protesting with more angry beeping flying up to his face. But Riot just ignored him and walk past. “ Riot pleas tell me what wrong. Its ok to….”
She didn’t get chance to finish as Riot tackled her to the ground. “What was that for!” but a second later a boulder landed where she had been, shattering on impact. “W-what!” It took her a second to realise they were under attack. And off in the distance, standing tall was someone, silhouetted by the moonlight standing tall. Its red fur and large white mane lit bright.
“AWWWOOOOOO!” Its howl was deafening. Abby reached for her pokedex, only to realise it wasn’t there. She has left it in the tent in her rush out.“Dam it. Ok we are just going to have to do this blind. Riot, Shocky, Paulo you ready?” They all took up positions ready for a fight. Waiting for it to start.
“Paulo Psybeam!” The Proygon shot out a ray of psychic energy, but it was too far away and the pokmeon simply jump out of the way, the beam passing by harmlessly.
“Riot, Flamethrower. Hit them in the air” The Arcanine go did hit, engulfing them in flame as they hit the grown. Now much closer to them
“Electroweb them Shocky. Don t let them get away!” As the fire stopped, a web of electricity came to tangle the target, trapping them.
“Yeah good work you three” But the celebration didn’t last long the pokemon simply ripped out of the webbing like it was nothing and let of another howl.
“AAWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Even in the night they could all see dark energy forming around its fangs. Faster than before it leaped at Riot. There was no time to react as it crunched down on the Arcanine drawing blood.
“Riot!”Abby panicked. She didn’t have potions they still were back at the tent. Without needing to be told Paulo let off another Psybeam, this time hitting and having them let go. Riot retaliate, knocking them away.
The pokemon let out a nasty snarl as it turned and started running away. An Electro Ball quickly followed but fell short of hitting.
“It ran.” Most pokemon would stay and fight until they get knocked out. “Ah! Riot are you hurt?” The wound looked bad as he limped on the leg that got bit. “We need to get that healed. Come on it will be faster in your ball.” This time Riot had no objections to going in. “Ok you two, stay close they might still be out there.”
Abby started to run back to her tent, trying to be careful not to slip on any rocks as she held Riot pokeball tight. It didn’t occur to her that this was also the way the pokemon ran back.
When they got back to the campsite it was a disaster. There was stuff everywhere. Abbys bag laid open on the floor, its contents scattered everywhere, and the tent had crumbled into a pile, something moving inside.
Putting her finger to her lips to tell the others to stay quiet, she started to tiptoe to her bag, hoping to find a potion in it. Thankfully the bag wasn't damaged, just thrown about. She started to pull the content out to find one. A towel, some food, her pokedex.
“Lycanroc the midnight pokemon. Lycanrocs have an extremely vicious temperament. They will happily sustain injuries for the sake of...” Abby started hitting buttons until to mute it. The moving in the tent stopped, listening to the pokedex.
Shocky jump off Abby and readied herself for another fight with the one now in their tent. Paulo stayed by Abby, without Riot able to fight now he would have to be the one to keep her safe. The lump moved closer to the entrance, sticking it head out to see who was making so much noise.
“Ruff!” The little head shouted.
“Rockruff, the puppy pokemon. This pokemon is popular for young trainers or its easiness to train, but can have a sour mood as it get older” The pokedex lit up again, gaining the attention of the Rockruff, happily looking over at them.
“That isn’t the one who attacked us right? It was definitely bigger” Paulo nodded and beeped in agreement, this wasn't the one who attacked them earlier.
The Rockruff finally got free of the tent, tail wagging and it approached Shock who was trying her best to look big and threatening. As it started to sniff only an inch away Shock let out a small shock to scare it away.
“Raaa!” It shouted in surprised as it jump away, pawing at it stinging nose.
“Shocky stay back! They could be dangerous” Scuttling back the Joltik hid under Paulo for protection.
After the Rockruff stopped rubbing its snout, its look back at them, with caution and curiosity again. Shocky fluffed up threateningly which made it whine in sadness. But it didn’t growl or make any other signs it was angry.
Realising its may actually be friendly, Abby began to approach. Paulo lifted an arm to block her, shaking his head. “Beep.”
“No its ok Paulo, this is just like when we meet Shocky remember?”
Paulo look softened as he did remember how they meet the Joltik. Cold and hungry. Having climbed onto Riot for warmth after stealing some of his food. Lowering his arm to let her pass. He let out was last sound of concern. “Boop?”
“Hey there? What are you doing out here all alone?” She kelt down and held out a hand for it to smell. “Were you looking for food?”
“Ruff!” It happily barked back. Abby got the feeling this could be the meeting of their next pokemon partner. A smile slowly creeping onto her face. “Would you like some of mine?”
The Rockruff started spinning in circles barking “Raf! Ruff! Raf!” Paulo and Shocky watched from the side, still unsure if this was a good idea.
Abby reached for her bag were she found a loose packet of snacks earlier, only to notice something in the shadows moving towards her. Fist glowing with the same dark energy as before. Abby stumbled back away as both Shock and Paulo launched off attacks.
The Lycanroc changed target, hitting Paulo in the face with a sucker punch, knocking the Porygon to the ground.
It now stood between them and the Rockruff, bearing teeth and growling. They stayed there, still. No one daring to move.
The Rockruff finally decided to make a sound. “Raff?” It was enough for the Lycanroc to attack again. Launching forwards with its teeth.
A flash of fire erupted from Riot ball as he came out to take the hit instead of Abby. This time being able to throw the Lycanroc off. Now stood, with Abby behind the Arcanine and the Rockruff behind Lycanroc. They looked at each other, talking without words. Riot looked to me, Lycanroc to her pup. And without looking back left, the Rockruff happily following behind with the snack bag in their mouth.
“Was she just trying to protect her child?” Riot nodded. “And you protected me?” He nodded again. “Oh thank you” She hug him. And while he didn’t have any arms to hug back, he could still lean in. “Well, I think its best we tidied up here a bit now. And find that potion for you.”
They tried there best to put the tent back up, but it wasn't going to stay up like it used too.
“Well its better than nothing.” Paulo shook his head disagreeing. “Yeah, next town we need a new one.” She sighed in defeat, they hadn’t had that one for that long. “But for tonight at lest, do you all want to stay out with me?”
They all cuddles up together, barely fitting in the broken tent. But finally they could rest for the night.

Stand By Me- Chapter 1
Royal!AU, Champion Leon x Reader;
very very slight Raihan x Reader if you squint through a magnifying glass, can be read as completely platonic.
note: reader is afab, and I will likely use she/her pronouns whenever needed. however, she is still referred to as "Sir Knight" from time to time.
Word Count: 1843
-
It’s early morning in Hammerlocke as you make your way to the training field, past the open castle gates. Your Dreepy floats around your head, occasionally nipping at your ear to get your attention. He’s young, less experienced than most of your team- but you’re sure that he will learn propriety and discipline just like the rest- it is your job, after all, and you rather pride yourself on your professionalism.
It’s an important job, to be a knight of Hammerlocke. Sir Raihan is a gentle young man outside of battle, but he never holds back; always keeping his knights on their toes, always expecting the best, even though he is a patient teacher. You smile when you think of him, then shake your head. You need to focus.
You love Hammerlocke Stadium in early spring mornings- the winter chill not quite gone, the air crisp as you breathe it in, your tunic and mail armour keeping you warm enough to be comfortable. You know your Dragon types won’t be happy to come out and train until the sun has warmed the field a little, so you decide to start by jogging for a while. Since Dreepy is a ghost, he really has no issues following you around as you run, more than happy to just spend time with you outdoors.
It’ll be a while before the other knights head down to train, and even so, you don’t expect a lot of people to train today. It’s one of your two days off per week, and most of the knights prefer to spend these days resting, or drinking, or taking their sweethearts to town- or all three. You try not to feel a tiny bit jealous when you think of what everyone else will be doing today- determined as you are to stick to your training schedule, to better yourself, you can’t help but feel a little as if you’re missing out on the best parts of youth.
You shake your head lightly, taking care to breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose as you run. You’re just about done with your first lap when you see a figure by the entrance of the stadium, who sees you and makes a beeline for you.
It’s Sebastian, one of the knights of your own rank. He looks flushed, and a little tired, and you recall that he was given a special duty last night- High King Rose was visiting, and Sebastian was to stand guard within his chambers all night, in addition to Aria, who stood guard outside.
“Sir Raihan wishes to see you,” Sebastian says, direct as ever. “Don’t bother with your uniform, he knows you’ve been out training and he wants to see you directly.”
Wordlessly, you return Dreepy to his pokeball. You try to make some light conversation with Sebastian, but he gives you short replies and you realize he’s probably aching to get into his bed right now. Understandable- private duty with the royals, privileged honor as it is, has a bad rep with the knights of your rank- allows for minimal personal training, requires constant vigilance, as well as occasionally reducing the knights to pandering to the royals’ needs like handmaidens. You wonder if the High King is fussy at all, but decide against prying and asking Sebastian.
Sir Raihan is in one of the private sitting rooms at the stadium, tapping a quill against blank paper when you arrive. He brightens when he sees you, and immediately relieves Sebastian.
As Sebastian closes the door beside him, Sir Raihan motions for you to sit.
“How are you?” he asks.
“Well, Sir Raihan,” you smile at him. “How are you?”
“A bit tense, to be entirely honest,” he replies, leaning back in his chair. “Are you aware that Prince Hop is of age to participate in the Pokemon tournament this year?”
You nod in affirmation, and he continues.
“Well, of late, he’s been receiving some rather thinly veiled threats, urging him to not participate. Of course, King Leon has been in a real tizzy over it, and we’ve assigned Prince Hop a guard detail to watch over him. Don’t worry-” he laughs when he sees your expression “-I’m not about to assign you to follow a child about.”
You exhale, not even bothering to hide your relief.
“But I hope the prospect of guard duty isn’t too distasteful to you- I know enough of you to know that you’ll go above and beyond to do your duty, no matter what it is, but I do want you to be happy doing it, too,” Sir Raihan regards you warmly, and you might be mistaken, but he almost looks a little wistful.
“The winner of the Pokemon tournament receives the honour of a title, as well as considerable land and a powerful estate. I don’t need to tell you how coveted it is, and how undeterred some people are, even though nobody has been able to beat King Leon in over ten years.”
“Don’t tell me you want me to participate on your behalf,” you joke, and he laughs.
“Nothing of the sort- I only want you to be cheering me on when I beat him,” he grins at you.
“I might as well cut to the chase,” Sir Raihan continues, “the High King has decided that as the reigning champion of the tournament, King Leon is not exempt from the danger of these threats, and the desperation of the sender. He wishes to have a private knight attendant assigned to King Leon, and I volunteered you for the job.”
You sit up straight, eyes wide as Sir Raihan takes in your expression, which you quickly school into a poker face.
“You’ll have to go to Wyndon,” he says softly, “and you will spend most of your waking hours with Leon, a few steps behind him at all times.”
You notice how he dropped the King’s title.
“Very well,” you say. “When am I to leave?”
“Hm? Oh, I expected you to put up just a little bit of a fight,” Sir Raihan says, and his smile is back.
“It will be an honour to serve the King,” you say, “and after all, it can’t be for longer than a season, right?”
“We don’t expect it to be,” he shakes his head. “And even if it is, I’m sure I can add some of our other knights to the rotation after a while. For now… I volunteered you for the job because I think you may be able to benefit from observing the King’s training, and his battles. I want the best for you.”
Your heart warms at this, and you give him a genuine smile as you take the liberty of reaching out and squeezing his hand. Sir Raihan is your superior, yes, but between the two of you, you have a warm and informal friendship that allows you to be candid.
“The other thing is… since it’s a matter of safety, the High King would like you to depart as soon as possible. I will personally escort you to Wyndon,” he says, “and I would advise you to start packing and saying your goodbyes, we’re to leave tomorrow.”
You nod and get up to leave, but before you’re out the door, Raihan calls out to you.
“Oh, and listen! Before you formally assume your position, King Leon would like to battle you. You’re not expected to win in the slightest… but he would like to personally see how you conduct yourself in battle.”
---
You end up leaving that very same evening, saying rushed goodbyes to your contingent, asking Sebastian to write to you, and lugging a heavy and haphazardly packed suitcase. Your Pokemon are all in their Pokeballs, attached to your belt- you know Dreepy would like to float around, but you can’t risk him getting lost on the way to Wyndon, that would be disastrous.
You arrive at the castle at Wyndon at around midnight, and are greeted by servants who usher you and Sir Raihan inside. You notice a slight girl with mousy brown hair trying to pick up your suitcase, and you stop her with a smile.
“I can handle my own luggage, thank you,” you say, trying your best to put warmth into your tone.
She doesn’t protest, returning your smile.
“We are honoured to have you here, Sir Knight,” she says.
You want to reply and ask her name but you and Sir Raihan are rushed further into the castle, and subsequently led to your respective rooms. You bid a quick good night to Sir Raihan, who looks (adorably) sleepy, and finally find yourself in the privacy of your new rooms.
One of your Pokeballs rattles, and you sigh as you release Dreepy into the room. You just know you’ll regret this poor training when he’s evolved into a massive Dragapult, but… you have no excuse, he’s simply adorable.
You like the room itself- it’s not gigantic, but it’s a whole world better than knights’ chambers you share back at home; due to your high rank, you only have to share with one other person, but still. Privacy is privacy and you value it immensely.
You have a desk, a huge chest of drawers, a large gilded mirror. A comfortable single bed is up against a wall, with gorgeous looking sheets, thick covers, and a beautiful tented canopy extending over it.
Despite your hectic day and the late hour, you feel anything but sleepy.
You fiddle with one of your Pokeballs and then finally motion to Dreepy to follow you as you leave the room, heading in the direction of the door to the back garden you were only briefly able to see.
You don’t know if this is a private garden, but the door was unlocked and open, and you take the risk of going out, hoping nobody else is out and about at this late hour. You need the fresh air, you need a few moments of tranquility to clear your head from the events of the day. Only this morning you were out to train in Hammerlocke, expecting to be by Sir Raihan’s side for, oh, maybe forever, and now you were here, with a pokemon battle with the King himself scheduled for the next day.
“Would you like to battle the King?” you ask Dreepy, who sticks his tongue out at you. Still, he is polite enough to headbutt you gently, sensing that you’re not at your happiest.
“It’s an honour, you know,” you go on. “But it’s strange to be so far from home, and to be expected to battle the King, no less? Lose, and then attend him for the next six months? It’s… a bit much to process, Dreep.”
You talk in whispers to Dreepy, spatially aware of the fact that nobody is around to hear you indulge in this odd habit. You are, in fact, unaware that your voice is carrying, and a pair of golden eyes is watching you with curiosity from a window above.
----
so i have half of this series written, and i figured there was no harm in starting to post it and see if you guys like it! I've never been this excited at the idea of writing a multi chap fic, feedback would really be appreciated.

of electric rodents and demon butlers
I’m losing my mind trying to breed a shiny Dedenne before Legends comes out in Jan so have a self-indulgent drabble from a Pokemon AU featuring an MC who has an electric rat on their team and a certain demon butler who hates their entire species on principle :)
The sixth member of your team is shy. At least, that’s what you tell everybody.
It starts with a running bet between Mammon and Asmo on who it could be, but the game quickly spirals out of control to include the Purgatory Hall gang and Demon Lord Castle residents. Given your tight-lipped secrecy (even on your final Pokemon’s typing), it’s really anyone’s guess.
Of course, you have no real reason not to tell them, and your ace is getting tired of fending off unwanted intrusions to your privacy. But while it’s fun to watch the chaos unfold to some extent, you’re really only hesitant to let one demon in particular know. And if he can’t find out, then fair’s fair, right?
The difficulty ramps up one day when you receive a handwritten letter via Noivern delivery, the crisp white envelope tied to a string and hanging off one of the Pokemon’s clawed feet like an anklet. You rub the fluffy mane of white fur on its chest as you tell it to relay your answer to its trainer, and give it a big fat juicy berry as a treat for its journey back.
You don’t know what the prize for winning the game is, but clearly it’s enticing enough for Barbatos to go all out and invite you to a picnic at one of the private gardens near the marketplace he frequents. Armed with baskets brimming with enough food to feed two teams, you can tell he’s determined to emerge the victor today. It would have been a perfect date otherwise.
“Don’t worry about it!” You try to convince him when he hints at unravelling the mystery for the umpteenth time. “She had a full breakfast and is probably still sleeping it off. Besides, she doesn’t do well in crowds.”
Both your and Barbatos’ teams are out having fun, playing with one another and engaging in mock fights. His Noivern and Decidueye are double battling against two of yours, while his Indeedee seems content digging into the food with the other half of your team.
“It would be a shame to let all of this go to waste.” Barbatos gestures at the generous spread laid out on the picnic blanket. His smile wavers slightly at your guilt-ridden discomfort, but he’s come too far to give up now. Perhaps a change of strategy is in order.
He backs off and diverts the conversation elsewhere, noting the way you gradually start to relax and enjoy spending time with him. You feed him scones, he pours you tea, and the two of you occasionally indulge one of your collective Pokemon’s need for attention as the hours tick by.
Before the day draws to a close, Barbatos enacts his plan by asking to borrow your lap for a quick power nap. You gladly oblige of course, it’s the least you could do after all the hard work he’d put in to make this date a success. He closes his eyes and feigns sleep, stifling a content purr as your fingers gently card through his hair and massage his scalp. Now he just needs to be patient; it’s only a matter of time before —
There’s the loud click of something emerging from a Pokeball, but to Barbatos’ dismay, you place your sunhat over his face to block off any attempts at peeking.
“Shh,” he hears you whisper, followed by the sound of tiny footsteps scuttling around and a soft crackle of electricity. An electric-type, something small with legs, he deduces in the darkness. Quadrupedal, no wings or levitation...
Curiously enough, while the rest of your Pokemon happily greet their friend, his go deathly silent. The suspense is killing Barbatos; he can tell your mystery teammate is right there, hungrily munching away at the leftover food. Slowly, carefully, he materializes his tail and subtly uses it to lift the sunhat while you’re not looking —
Decidueye, that sharp bastard, catches on immediately and squawks in warning. Next thing Barbatos knows, he’s being dogpiled by Indeedee and Noivern with you still under him, flailing in alarm. The whole spectacle attracts your team’s attention, and they alternate between trying to rescue you and drag off a stubborn full-grown dragon who’s oddly hell-bent on making sure its trainer stays down.
Throughout the commotion, nobody hears the high-pitched squeaking accompanying a yellow blur darting back into the safety of its Pokeball, out of sight once more.
