Shipping characters does not mean that I want them to be together canonically. 

TL;DR: the opinions/actions of the fan base should never impact the decisions/creation behind the original media. Crossing that line has consequences. For everyone.

I do not want romance from a media that was good without it, I do not want romance from an author/artist who knows it doesn't make sense for (and could ruin) the world or characters. I do not want fanon tropes and headcanons to bleed into places it doesn't belong in.

No matter what and no matter the personal opinions or biases I have, I understand that the ideas curated and cultivated within the community of fan-made and fan-consumed content should ALWAYS remain entirely or partially separate from the decisions that directly impact the original media’s form.

I do not care if that means the main or only romance isn't a fan favorite. I do not care if that means no romance. I do not care if that means no happy ending or even an ending that the fanbase isn’t happy with. I do not care if “oh but I wanted–” or “oh but it would be nice to see–” or whatever other selfish nagging that always comes up when people don’t get what they want.

I do not care. If it was decided and made canon to the story or characters, then that's how it is and should be in its original form. ONLY in its original form. Feel free to have all your weird and silly fantasies, just keep it out of canon.

Look at it this way, canon is a basis, a blueprint, for the fandom to go fucking wild with. The blueprint tells us who the people are, what the world is, and allows us to freely take that shit and run with it. 

In a way, very similar to legos. Canon is our little booklet that says how to build the thing. And like legos, we can recycle those extra pieces or even the entire thing to have fun and experiment.

Now, if you wouldn’t tear up the instructions on how to build a new lego set, why are you trying to fuck up the only blueprint available to everyone? Cause when that Lego booklet is gone, all that’s left is a bunch of useless plastic and a whole lot of disappointment.

Okay erm for starters, yes it's infact a toxic ship, henry has abused dave in the past (obviously) also, have you.. seen the way henry acts towards jack in general in the games? And jack basically HATES henry for his actions. Also, daystars was a bad person.. There's a reason us in the dsaf community disliked them.

I'm debating now whether or not to put Sentinel into my Transformers X AU. Because I remember that I like TFA Sentinel, for some unknown reason, and I want him again in some capacity. I mean other iterations are fine, but I like him the most

I'm just not sure what to do with him, in all honesty. Again, I would want him to be like TFA Sentinel, because that's my favorite one. And I don't just want evil Sentinel, I need more. But like, how do I do that? Especially since I don't really know what makes someone a "Prime" in this universe, since I'm not having the Thirteen be a thing

My best idea right now is for him to be like, a response to Optimus? Like Optimus was built, he's got the Matrix of Leadership and is all cool and shiny, so someone else made Sentinel as a way of competing with him, just out of pettiness or something. And this mentality also kind of flows to Sentinel as well. Like he thinks he's the cooler, better version of Optimus, despite the fact that he's really not. He is comparable to Optimus in skill, yes, but Optimus just beats him out, which he hates

He's like Metal Sonic, but if Metal Sonic was another hedgehog and not a robot. Shadow doesn't count; he wasn't made to combat Sonic; he came way before. Surge doesn't either, I'm given to understand she was kidnapped and experimented on instead of being created

But like I don't know how the logistics of that works, and how old that makes Sentinel in comparison to Optimus, and his physical and mental age compared to his chronological age. Robots always bring this question up. And I mean, I haven't figured out how Cybertronians are born and age yet. Like I've said they can be "built", like how Alpha Trion built Elita and Optimus, but I don't know what specifically that means, whether they were built as adults and have always been adults, if they were rebuilt by Alpha Trion into these forms and had an Ariel and Orion situation, or whether he built them and it's like he raised them from sparklings, like that's just now new bots come to be

But outside of that, I'm not sure if that specifically is what I want. I mean, I do like it and in all honesty at this rate, it probably will be what I stick with provided he's put in the AU, but maybe I could do something else

Also I don't know where he fits in the world. Because he'd also be fighting Decepticons and such and probably also has a team, but he's not in Optimus' team. Would he just be in some other Autobot team? Or is he in like this world's version of Repliforce to the Autobots' Maverick Hunters? I don't know

I guess all this to say, I'm considering putting Sentinel in now

My sister and I are almost on s3 of the boys and we’ve been enjoying it a lot lol. I remember tumblr hating it sm because of how heavily advertised it was like oh man, it was excessive! I must’ve blocked the ad myself at least 100 times, no bullshit. This was back when tumblr had first started to try out ads here and when you could click the “I don’t want to see this ad,” option. Now, you’re kind of forced to see all kinds of ads because the option is no longer available. Fucking tumblr. Also, ppl were making callout posts about it being problematic and like, now that I’m actually watching the show, it’s….??? It’s just a show 🧍🏾‍♀️. Like, evil characters and bad things can be presented in a series without it being glorified like, it’s not that…??? I just remember people doing too much regarding it like. People make callout posts about stuff they’ve never even given a chance and it’s so odd to me.
